Wow, does it feel nice to be back! I missed this hellsite a lot more than I thought I did. 😅💖

Apologies for being away for so long, school’s been ✨fun✨ and with my first round of exams, trying to get a 13th year, friend-group drama, and all the other stuff that you deal with at the end of high school, it’s been harder to find the time to spend here. BUT I’ve also been working on a lil something, or, well, a couple lil somethings, that I think you’ll all enjoy 😄

Also, I still have no idea how to do the “long post” page break, so please bear with me 😅 it’s been a while, but I’ll remember my way around in a day or two.

SO

I know that way back when, I promised you guys some of my writing. I really did mean to share it, but I kept getting distracted and honestly, * laughs nervously * /it’s so bad/ 😅 and besides, I’ve got better things for you now anyways!

1. While I was gone, I started doing art (which I have to thank my best friend’s D&D campaign for, for inspiring me to try lol). And surprisingly, it doesn’t look half bad. It’s not the calibre of my friends’ art, it’s not even close, BUT I think it looks neat, and I’ll share some of it with you in a little bit. :D

2. I started writing a ✨novel series✨ that I’m pretty sure you’ll like. Do I have the whole plot in my head (or at least “had” before my latest project moved in)? Absolutely! Could I explain it all to you? 100%! Do I have it written down? Well… I do have basic plot written in one of my friend’s discord servers (because let’s be honest, ranting about it long-distance gets more written out than actually sitting down and /writing/), but I ALSO have a nice 12 page excerpt that I’d be happy to share once I figure out this long post thing 😅

And last but CERTAINLY not least I’ve got my latest brain-hog:

3. My campaign. Now, the friend’s D&D campaign from before is one of several being run in our little D&D group, and we all (will) take turns making and DMing a campaign (whether we’ve finished a campaign (or any campaigns) yet or not). I decided I’d start coming up with mine early on because I’d just get stuck and panic when (not if) I left it to the last minute (because procrastination go brr). Anyways, I used my friend’s campaign (the one I did art for) and my cousin’s crazy awesome campaign as inspiration, because if there’s one thing they’ve both got down, it’s lore. Lots, and LOTS, of lore. Like, almost-200-pages-worth, across-2-documents-and-they’re-going-to-make-it-a-novel kind of lore. The gods from their campaigns gave me the inspiration to be able to write mine, and so far, well, I think it’s going pretty amazingly.

Seriously though I’ve got so much brain rot it’s not even funny. I’m always happy to take questions if you’re interested, but I’ll be making a side blog (my first!!) to go into all the details about Tanavellar (my world :D) and the lore of the place.

I know it’s a lot for my “welcome back, me!” post, but I just want to share it all with you guys, and hope it can be as exciting and cool for you as it is for me! I also know that everyone here gives amazing feedback, so considering I grew a huge amount here (and that this is where I really started to come into my writing abilities), I feel like being able to work on things here with the guidance of much more experienced writers, artists, and DMs will really help me up my game. 😄💖

I want to say thanks to everyone who didn’t wander off while I was on hiatus, whether you meant it or not the loyalty’s appreciated 😅 I really am so excited to be back in this wonderful community though, and I can’t wait to see everything that I’ve missed!

Was always worried about the angst of unrequited love, had never realized the sheer amount of comedic potential that it has.

So in general, I did do a second version of it cuz I had used two pallets for him, and I REALLY liked both. So I did the second one as well 👀 I decided to show the top one since it looks more cleaner I think(?), but I couldn’t help myself 😅

Ok so no one could have prepared me for that last jayvik scene.

I predicted a big bunch of what would happen to them in act three, like a bit of what happened to Jayce in the arcane, Viktor’s (2) resurrection, their fight in the council room n shit too. But mostly the scene into Viktor’s hive mind (??) just Jayce last hope as he tries to find what’s left of Viktor in there. What I’m trying to say is: I thought I was prepared, key word Thought bc I did NOT expect him to actually succeed.

I was expecting him to maybe shear a tear or two then go back on his mission to kill him, maybe just anger, some yelling or whatever. I had no fucking faith in him actually getting Viktor back and that ended me right there.

It was beautiful and I loved every minute of it, I don’t have the artistic skill to draw any of it but who cares!!?! Anyway I’m going crazy they’re so fucking soft even when they’re being absorbed by void, I don’t give a shit they didn’t kiss on screen (which btw was never happening like ever) that was gayer than anything else that could’ve happened let’s be honest.

I think that last conversation was everything that Jayce wanted to say when he asked trapped in that cave or wtv prob thinking about the way things could’ve gone differently. He spent all that time reflecting and in the end he got a chance to get it out for te one person that needed to hear it. Telling Vitor that he want broken, what he though were his weaknesses where just, life. There could be other ways, to cure his illness, live better even with his leg, but in this end there was no time left for them so I think it was the best way to end everything.

I’m not gonna talk abt their arcs an how undeniably intertwined they are to each other but just know it’s true, and that’s why beyond a the crying I actually liked their ending. They’ve been so inherently tied together since the very beginning there’s o other way to go.

I kid. Sort of.

It’s an au in which instead of the Winged Lion taking Marcille, it ends up settling for a panicking Chilchuck instead, to its disappointment. Basically, a Dungeon Lord Chilchuck au!

He’s separated from the party who are trying to find him, & as the dungeon changes, so does he. Despite his initial skepticism & caution, he starts to indulge in some of his addictions & dreams, such as one of a safer world, one of good cheer & little care. One in which he can relax, but also control if need be… (Is he in control?)

The others manage to catch up with the two, the golden of which plays a trick, winning Chilchuck for longer. When the party finally realize what’s happened & go back after him, several events (which I’m trying to be vague about for now) ensue…

(With lots of mythological ties, of course. Have you read the title of my blog? Have you seen the Orpheus & Eurydice things? And then there’s Dionysius. Not to mention the Minotaur…)

…All the while the hourglass winds down, things becoming progressively harder & harder to tell if they’re real or fake (the alcohol surely not helping). People aren’t just themselves anymore- Monsters are people & the reverse is true too. Whom do you trust when a face is shared? Whom do you trust when you become worse?

Sorry for how vague this got; I’m not sure how much to share just yet. We like keeping things ‘oooooOoo so mysterious’ for funsies but also want people to Know The Stuff, which gets complicated lol. There is a lot that we have for this au though, & those “events” I mentioned we’re very normal about, so things relating to & about that pop up in our posts about it all the time. It’s not what it’s abboutttt exactly but yeah plays a big part those two’s uhh.. Interactions. And it stabs my heart :) I love them. May they bleed terribly. So very terribly <3

just an fyi, and it feels like it needs to be said here: your blog is your own space and you should be able to say whatever the fuck you want. if you’re sad? vent. get sad. maybe put it under a cut, definitely tag it, but get sad. if you feel like you need someone to talk to? drop a freaking message about how you’re feeling like you could use a buddy, or anything randomly engaging. if you’re having a hard time, you should feel safe and okay to talk about it in your own space. we’re writers and we’re people and while there’s a lot to be said for how engagement outside of oneself is necessary in rp (and really really needs to improve), i think there’s a lot that must be said about people reaching out to others. it’s become so solitary here — the whole ‘reblog from source’ thing when it comes to shit like about and musings is absurd. the whole refusing to like things is ridiculous. yes, curate your space, that’s important, but curating your space into a studio apartment only you live in doesn’t make this a community anymore, it makes it a studio apartment you live in.

just be yourself here. do whatever you want. but i’m always saying: remember you’re not alone, and don’t let yourself feel that way.

MAG 52: exceptional risk

Oh shit Robert Montauk is back. the guy who visited him was Maxwell Rayner and I did write down from previous episodes he was like a defrocked Pentecostal minister (hell he do???) and had that cult grow around him. Also the last name Rayner was mentioned in The Piper, Joseph Rayner tags or something. The whole, bulbs flickering and crappy water, at least my assumption, seems to be like in response. I’m assuming the thing that murdered Maxwell which then scared the shit out of his daughter in A Fathers Love and possibly killed her mom. I think Robert did something to try and get rid of that creature which is Maxwell came and did his ominous speech or whatever

MAG 53: crusader

Gertrude!!! No notes on this episode but I know eyes are like a super common theme in the magnus archives, I’ve seen some vague fanart so I’ll keep an eye for that. Sorry.

MAG 54: Still Life

Daniel Rawlings was one of the people who disappeared in Anglerfish near Old Fishmarket Close. The thing that was in his basement was also described very similarly to the thing in the alleyway. Swaying motion, a monotone voice, repeating the same sentence again, and again. Not only that Daniel disappeared the same year as Sarah Baldwin, who we were already, unfortunately, introduced to. I know he has like a completely different appearance but I dunno. It’s creepy. ALSO, there were those 2 men with cockney accents and when Jon got delivered those packages in season 1, Martin described them with cockney accents. So I’m assuming they are the same.

MAG 55: Pest Control

Jane Prentiss mention. Thought we’d be done with her when she’s now ash but I guess not 💀 (<- Jane) anyways, apparently John Amherst got an appearance. Doing some calculating, I think him in MAG 55 was before Taken Ill. I think. One thing I noticed looking back at Taken Ill was that Nicole didn’t want to touch the bell because there was this oily residue on it, the same oily residue on the door to his house when Jordan knocked on it. Also the landlord from Jane’s statement is here. Did not expect him to sacrifice himself. Clearly he knows a lot and maybe knew what that “wasps” nest was all about. He had that scar too. So far I can’t find anything connecting with that scar but everything (everyone) is going up in flames in this podcast I swear.

MAG 56: Children of the Night

I was actually going to end this post at Pest Control but I saw TREVOR was giving this statement so I had to listen. Anyways. Uh. Rest in peace that human he killed 🫡. The lady that had spiders come out was interesting. Lot of spiders in this podcast.

Also Jon seems really stressed like he needs a nice nap and maybe some like book to calm him down. I jumped and he wasn’t even yelling at me 😭 personally I would not let that slide. also Martin mentioned his mom having problems so he dropped out and I think his moms problems were based in the supernatural in some way. No basis for that.

One other thing, I saw that the title of this episode is like…slightly similar to the thing Gertrude referenced in Crusaders. “Those who sing the night “children of the night”. I guess only night is mentioned and it could be a coincidence but I’m keeping that in mind just in case.

Anyways that’s all my thoughts!! I see the next episode is something about space. It is currently 10:12 PM and it’s pitch black so I’m definitely not listening to that tonight.
