I'll start my daily Mileapo silliness with these adorable pics from the HOWE awards yesterday. It's the way Mile is smiling at Apo's cuteness, while Apo is seemingly doing that mini heart for the fans, but then he stares up at Mile, not down at them.

I know there's a whole debate about whether Apo sat in Mile's lap as they left the venue. Here's the vid:

I find it hard to believe 'coz:

they're in public, and they know the fans sometimes film them in the van after an event.

if you compare the level of Apo's head before he moves back and after, it's more or less the same? So I think the height difference between him and Mile that made people think Apo is sitting on him is just about skewed perspective.

That said... I DO think it's interesting, telling and way too intimate for just co-workers that Apo IS all up in Mile's personal space, probably pressed up against his legs, enough that he needed to lift up a bit in order to get into his seat, rather than just lean back. Even if Apo wanted to talk to someone, he could have leaned a bit without completely invading Mile's space. If Apo wanted to grab something, he could have asked Mile to pass it to him. He didn't, because they're both comfy with this, because it's their space anyway.

Afterwards, Mile gave us 3 fruity likes:

I don't think I need to say anything about why the first is fruity. With the second, I think the focus is more on Apo than Mile, so it's cute:

And then the last is all Apo. Mile isn't even hiding, he's just full on telling us that he's all about his boy...

Apo also had a fruity moment! Someone made an edit that compared how Apo is gatekeeping Mile's chest more since he declared himself a Romsaithong.

I'm less convinced that Apo covering Mile up is about that, but what's cute is that Apo was intrigued by the caption. This person had several edits they tagged Apo in, but he only cared to watch the fruity one...

And then he was also kinda fruity on IG. Of all the fans he could have re-shared a story from about his EMV success, he chose the one where they added a gif of a kitten (Apo) playing guitar (Mile)... Am I reaching? Maybe. But if that gif made me smile instantly, I doubt Apo saw it and didn't think of this symbolic Mileapo combo, too. ;)

In today's news, Apo seems to have started rehearsals for the Man Suang tour...

Today's the first official day of the DinCobb Fall Fest Mini Big Bang! This event will feature a more theme oriented big bang as we enter the fall season. This includes but is not limited to:

What is a mini big bang?

Well, it's like a big bang but smaller. The goal of this event is to have authors produce a fic that's between 2 and 5 thousand words. During one of the check-ins, authors submit fic drafts/summaries and artists will create something to go with the fic they were paired with.

Can I sign up as both an artist and an author?

Yes! There is the option to do both in this event.

What if I have other questions?

What's the event schedule?

The entire event will run from August 13 to November 17. For a larger break down, check the post out here.

Additional Event Information

Here are details for what will be expected of authors and artists in terms of contributions. This event is meant to be fun and low stakes for those who participate. If the information below does not answer any of your questions, please reach out to a mod and we can answer your question!

For Writers:

The fic must be about Din and Cobb, but authors are free to explore what that relationship looks like to them whether they're depicted as best friends, brothers in arms, lovers, queer platonic partners, and more.

2-5k word count. Although it is not limited to 5k.

A beta reader is highly recommended, though not a requirement. If you need help finding a beta reader, please reach out and we will do our best to connect you with one.

Workshopping will be allowed and encouraged in public discord servers and elsewhere, just refrain from sharing the whole fic with anyone but your beta reader(s) and artist.

All fics must be thoroughly and properly tagged and rated. This is the one hard rule that will be enforced, as it is something that protects both artists and readers

All fics must be posted to AO3 and included in the event collection (DinCobb Fall Fest Mini Big Bang). You may cross post to tumblr if you would like to, too! More info about posting requirements to come at a later date.

For Artists:

One art piece is required for each fic. But you are encouraged to do more if you would like.

Art can be anything as long as the artist and author agree to the medium of choice which can include any of the following: gif sets, music vids, playlists, podfic, moodboards, artwork, etc.

Art should be kept between artist and author (unless you need advice on anatomy or help with audio edits or something, in which case please keep it between the artist and whoever is helping out)

Other Topics:

Dropping will not incur a formal penalty. It is heavily encouraged you reach out to the appropriate people (ie. a mod) ASAP so a pitch hitter can be found in a timely manner.

The last drop out day with no questions asked is September 30. If you need to drop out past this day, inform a mod immediately. Keep in mind that extensions can also be made if it is needed.

Things that may get you removed from the event include: not including proper tags/ratings, not responding in a timely manner during check-ins or if a mod reaches out to you, harassing other participants in any way whatsoever

Okay, I realized today that the fluffy Vannak fic I started had gotten REALLY lost somewhere in my Tumblr drafts. 😬

You have to understand, my drafts are like a giant dumping ground of posts I want to come back and look at later, posts I intend to reblog but don't have time to tag at the moment and, since getting Georgette (my computer for anybody who doesn't know) last December and her "issues" with blue screening and crashing multiple times a day, every day, a bunch of my in-progress fics.

I have a problem and I can admit it. 🤷‍♀️😂

Anyway, I decided that since Georgette has gotten more predictable in her crashing (still not stoppable but she generally now gives me a warning noise that, in about 30 seconds, she's going to freeze and blue screen), I decided to try installing Word 2003, my beloved, once more.

I found the fic in my drafts (from February 🤷‍♀️😉) and now we're hopefully back in business with Word, my beloved, once again! 🤞😣🤞

This will also hopefully benefit speeding me up on my other WIPs, such as "15 Minutes" and "Recreation" (chapter 4 is currently about half done). I'm going to give Georgette a little while to make sure that Word doesn't destabilize her further or in some way make her issues worse, then I'm hoping she'll tolerate my Vegas again. I'm MISSING my ability to vid and make GIFs so much, I can't even!

And on that note, I think I need to play some Reach. Wait, I mean, I need to do some writing! Yeah, writing. With Word, my beloved. 😉

Ooo, and this also gives me back my Choose Your Own Spartan Adventure Reach WIP (temporary title "Choices")!

Yeah, it's been since the end of 2022 that I started that one but at least it, by its nature, won't post anything until it's all ready to go, so I'm not leaving anybody hanging, lol. 😇😉

Happy 1st Anniversary of KinnPorsche the Series!! 🎉 🎊 🥳 🥂

allow me to be emotional a bit (i say this as if i'm not emotional over the series and the actors every other day lol)

kinn and porsche are SO precious to me...as individuals and as a couple...i relate to kinn a lot: his struggles with a parent, his crushing sense of duty, trying to fit into the world he's forced to be a part of, him not always knowing how to communicate feelings...i had talked about it a bit here about how soft he is despite everything around him and ya...kinn is extremely close to my heart because of these things...i see myself in him (barring the killings and sadly barring the butt sex too)

porsche is just....SO MUCH lol!!!! if i spend time with him i would need 3 to 5 business days to get my energy levels back! but i understand his love for his brother and relate to how he's fiercely protective of him (i'm the same with my sister...but she's older than me)

and ofc mile and apo

man i related a little too much with apo's early life struggles lol...him being told to always 'correct' himself, him feeling disconnected with who he is made to be, being subjected to casual homophobia at workplace (he talked about these things in the On That Day interview and that press con that had happened with the entire cast)...the fact that he felt so unhappy coming back home from the US...it broke my heart and it hit a little too close actually...i had talked about this a bit here (i feel apo is queer coded) coz it reminded me of things that had happened in my life quite recently at that time and the fact that both apo and i were still going strong gave me a sense of kinship with him (hahha 'kinn'ship haahhhaha)...i ofc don't have a mile who has been a positive and happy addition to apo's life since he came back but i am making efforts to have those positive and happy additions in my life

and one of these positive and happy additions happens to be the kpts fandom....y'all....it is SO AMAZING TO BE PART OF THE FANDOM.....y'all are SO TALENTED! the art, the gifs, the meta, the fics, the vids, the polls, the thoughts on the characters, the crackposts, the textposts, the fandom archivers! i'm so thankful to all of you...each and every single one of you

and lbr we've had our fair share of trials and tribulations but because i'm only on tumblr and not on any other social media sites, it has been generally a brilliant experience...i have made such great friends, have talked to a bunch of you, received amazing mile thirst traps in my inbox, have been entirely inappropriate in writing my shameless tags in posts, have openly admitted to my armpit and armpit hair fetish (i made armpit appreciation gifsets ffs), have again very openly talked about my other kinks as well (i think y'all know 🙈) (the armpit fetish admission has led to a beautiful friendship that i cherish <3 and my thirsty tags have led me to meet my feral twin <3)

personally as well i felt like investing myself more into the fandom and the series and the characters and the actors....it made me do things that i had not done before! i talked to fellow fans actively, i made gifs (low quality and using free software lol but i'm actually happy with them), i wrote stuff, like i legit made an ao3 and wrote some stuff lol! i have not done that before and again it is primarily for me and i'm proud of myself for doing these things y'know

last but not the least, kinnporsche the series gave me my thai husband: mile phakphum romsaithong .... and for this alone, it is the best thing out there in the world 🙈🤣

the anniversary of my foray into the series will be next month (it was mile's asscrack that convinced me to finally watch the series that kept trending on tumblr from time to time) but let me be emotional today too

How did you get into the fandom?  I came to tumblr to find gifs and stumbled into fic and an active fandom.

How long have you been here? One year today!!! I made this thing on June 6th and posted two drabbles the first day. A @galladrabbles for "Still Into You" by Paramore and a drabble based on @darthvaders-wife art!!

Which mutual have you known the longest in the fandom? I'm not sure? I think it took me a week to insert myself into Nosho and Cameron's trans Mickey thoughts. That's the first interaction I remember, anyway.

Which tumblerino’s did you have your first fandom crush(es) on and wanted to get to know? Let me be for real for a second. I have too many tumblr crushes to name! If I've ever tagged you or replied to your post or written elaborate embarrassing tags on your stuff, it's probably you! I spend 97% of my time feeling awkward and/or depressed but we're all friends in my head.

First Gallavich fan fic you read (or that blew you away that you remember) I accessed @thegallavault really early on and I think Cooperative Gameplay was the first long fic I read and I really enjoyed it.

First fan art that blew your mind?  I am very much not an artist so I kind of have my mind blown all the time and I could list so many but @harukanaaaa's baby Ian makes me feel INSANE. I found it kind of soon after becoming active and idk man, something about it just melts me inside.

Fanfic trope that you were sure wasn’t for you but now you low key (or high key) love? I was about to say ABO and realized that's a LIE. I still don't really like it. But there are specific fics in this fandom that I've enjoyed. And Sports AUs. Loving them a lot, surprisingly.

What surprised you most about this fandom? I felt super welcomed right from the beginning which I didn't expect at all. It's also more diverse in some ways than I've seen before.

Moment in the show (or YT vids if you’re one of those) that you fell in hyperfixation with Gallavich? The first was probably "take your hand off the glass" where I was like okay, yeah, these two. But the 5x11 fight is peak for me.

Ian or Mickey? Ooof. It's Mickey, but really this is just a rude question.

Which Gallagher or Milkovich are you? Oh man. I think the reason I love the show so much is that I can relate to parts of all of the Gallagher/Milkovich kids and there's no way I could pick one. In the past I've said Fiona, but it doesn't feel very accurate atm.
