also DISCLAIMER: i’m gaining a lot of my symbolism knowledge from websites that pop up in google results. if any cultural symbolism is inaccurate i apologize for not vetting sources closer.

SO. we all know something’s up with maggie right? there’s something off about her, like she knows something or is stronger than she looks.

i’ve seen a few people going around suggesting she’s an angel. miracles seem to affect her less, nina calls her “angel,” etc. i don’t think this is true. neil’s talked about why some miracles don’t affect her and nina as much (essentially, aziraphale gets a little reliant on human suggestibility and maggie and nina are too suspicious of a+c to be as easily swayed)- i also think nina calling her “angel” is just a little parallel for us to enjoy.

i’ve also seen people suggest she may be affiliated with hell somehow. she mirrors crowley in her and nina’s relationship, and she misspells “urgency” as “ugrency” in her note to aziraphale. i don’t think this is true either. the misspelling could be a simple red herring (or, as i like to believe, just the result of being Very Stressed bc shit man i do that too), and i think her parallels to crowley are essentially just in relation to… well, relationships- she loves nina in a situation similar to how crowley loves aziraphale, and that’s all that parallel serves. it’s an important one, but says more about crowley than it does maggie. also she was the one to invite the demons in- crowley heavily implies demons can’t do that, and even if maggie isn’t a demon i doubt she’d be able to either if she were affiliated with hell.

i think. and hear me out here. i think in season 3 maggie is going to play an incredibly important role. as the second virgin mary.

a lot of the symbols on maggie’s clothing are related to divinity and fertility. like, a lot. once again, see the video i linked at the beginning. the designs on her teal cardigan, for example. the swallows- now, a lot of symbolism surrounding swallows suit maggie and her story, like being good-natured, the blossoming of love, and they’re also just a general good omen (ha). however, regarding christianity, swallows represent one very specific thing: resurrection and rebirth, particularly that of jesus christ.

there’s also the flowers, which someone in the comments of the video i linked said resembled cherry blossoms (which i absolutely see). the swallows are also holding cherries, so this feels like a logical identification. cherry blossoms represent a LOT of things (including change, which is in line with the swallows), but the most important thing they resemble (for right now) is rebirth, new chances, and the start of another life. huh. sounds familiar. the video mentions that red berries tend to represent the blood of christ- cherries in particular can represent a LOT of relevant things. in japan, they’re a good omen (ha^2) and symbolize new beginnings. in buddhist lore, they represent femininity and fertility, and there’s apparently a legend that the Buddha’s mother was supported by a holy cherry tree as she gave birth to him. hm. in chinese lore, cherry trees are associated with phoenixes. what are phoenixes symbolic of? oh, only death and rebirth. yaknow. normal stuff

all of that symbolism is in One piece of clothing. ONE. there’s also the all-seeing-eye on her locket- a symbol commonly used to represent god’s omnipotence. also also, maggie wears a lot of blue and gold. this reminds me of early depictions of jesus- while originally he was depicted as the good shepherd wearing humble clothes, when christianity was adopted by the soon-to-be-holy roman empire, art of jesus changed to depict him instead as an emperor of the lord- he wears flowing robes of rich gold, purple, and blue. as the virgin mary became a more important christian symbol as the mother of god, she was depicted in rich clothing as well- from what i remember in art history, she often wore blue and gold. that’s all i’ll talk about in terms of clothes for this post but i’m sure there’s more i could find and dig into.

in season 2, maggie is deeply important to the plot- she influences both aziraphale and crowley, but i think she has an especially strong connection with aziraphale. she’s a tenant of his bookshop, for one, but she also serves as aziraphale’s gabriel cover story and helps him learn about the strange goings-on at the resurrectionist in edinburgh. she also accidentally makes the final 15 extra heart-wrenching by encouraging crowley to be honest about his feelings. whoops!

okay, okay, so we know maggie’s symbolism ties her heavily to divinity and fertility, and we know she’s important in season 2. but still, why would this be particularly plot relevant to season 3? how would this actually happen?

it’s simple.

i’m gonna take you through a little train of thought. all aboard! follow along with me.

we know the next season will be surrounding the second coming- the metatron says so himself. the second coming, is, of course, the second coming of christ, which will inevitably start the rapture.

in the original story of jesus christ, the archangel gabriel is the one to tell mary that she will give birth to jesus christ, the son of god. this is the annunciation. except now, there is no archangel gabriel. he quit. and who took his place? why, it’s none other than our favorite angel, aziraphale. chances are, he’ll be doing the annunciating this time.

now, for plot reasons, i feel like the choice of who will be the next “virgin mary” will be up to aziraphale. seems better for writing to me, because even though i’m speculating like crazy i feel like being the one to make this choice will give us good insight on aziraphale’s character. how this choice falls into his hands could vary, of course- maybe he’s just directly ordered to, maybe he has to deliver a baby to someone in the way crowley did, maybe he kidnaps baby fucking jesus the second from heaven and needs someone to look after them so they can lay low, i dunno. point is, i think aziraphale will be giving the annunciation.

but who would aziraphale choose? well, he’s been on earth a while. we know he’ll be missing crowley dearly and wanting his help with preventing potential apocalypse 2, so he’ll probably limit his scope to the UK, maybe even just london or soho. i think we can agree that diagetically, God probably likes references and callbacks. look at how parallel-ridden the show is and tell me She doesn’t. the original virgin mary was a kindhearted, humble woman. she was in a relationship, but was not wed and under no circumstances would she have been pregnant except in the case of divine intervention. hey, you know who else is a kindhearted, humble woman in a relationship in which she definitely wouldn’t be getting pregnant? maggie is.

there’s also the fact that she’s near the bookshop, meaning muriel would be able to keep an eye on her and jesus jr. heaven would like that. it’d also mean crowley would be nearby, so he could look after oversee both him and baby jesus 2: electric boogaloo at the same time. aziraphale would like that. not to mention, maggie already knows aziraphale’s an angel and wouldn’t tell anyone, which would prevent his identity from being discovered and her sanity from being questioned. plus, the name “maggie” even sounds kind of similar to “mary”- that’d make heaven happy.

now, i don’t think aziraphale will be announcing to maggie that she’s gonna be pregnant- we saw in the job minisode that aziraphale knows a fair bit about human birth, and the last thing he wants to do is put someone through something so intense because God said it’d be fun. plus, i feel that a pregnancy arc would fuck up the pacing of the season and be a bit jarring for the audience (while there are of course exceptions, pregnancy can be a squicky topic for a lot of queer folk bc of cishetero/amatonormativity, and considering neil knows his audience so well, i don’t super see it happening.) also, if the antichrist wasn’t given birth to by a human in gomensverse, i doubt the second coming of christ would be.

so, chances are, aziraphale’s gonna hand a baby over to maggie, say “please look after this kid this is quite literally the reincarnation of God’s child and you’re the only person i can think of who She would find a satisfactory candidate also nina can help you wouldn’t that be nice haha heh um ^^;;;; okaytakecare,” report back to heaven, and then try to work up the courage to talk to crowley again so he can ask for help. which will be deliciously painfully uncomfortable for us to watch.

TL;DR: i think maggie’s the next virgin mary, and aziraphale will most likely be the one to annunciate this to her. this will be what kicks s3’s plot in motion and it is going to be. tense.

Basically there was a form, a domain request for blogs that had been abandoned for over a year (no activity), which the staff never notified me of. I discovered it on my own with the help center's Chatbot and this request had a deadline of 30 days, otherwise they could do nothing. @darling hadn't posted in almost a decade, so I thought it was unlikely that it had been logged in less than a year ago. I requested several domains, but the staff never helped me - quite the opposite - they REMOVED the domain request after me. The peak of ineffectiveness, support has never helped me at all in almost a decade. They even took down an entire cottagecore account of mine and never let me appeal (!) They removed it (the domain request) between the end of last year and beginning of this year, I think the chatbot no longer exists either. I thought it was pathetic - and it was - they never did nothing for me. Not even those Automattic staff members online that are supposed to help people.

A lot could be said about the domain request, it's a big deal and the Tumblr authors have no idea about it, I'm referring to termed blogs too, I see no reason for them to remain unusable if they don't represent offensive terms or terms that violate the guidelines, I take For example, the domain @honey. I know you and others have been unable to use dropped basic domains or blogs that haven't been active for like 13+ years. The very idea of ​​a domain request to speed up its release is the result of a failure, because it is something that should not be addressed if the system was effective in taking down blogs that do not represent activity for the platform - and now that doesn't even exist anymore. What you can do is use domains with numbers and disjointed sentences to have a space in a user graveyard. 😩

But going back to the point: how I got this domain: I went directly and contacted the social networks of the former author of the domain, I contextualized her, she was nice to me and agreed to give in.

First off, my first Siri drawing ever!! She used to look a whole lot different and had a different birthday (and yes her hair was already blonde i just. Didnt have a great blonde marker at 16 lmao)

A lot of people consider me really weird and some people are scared of me(which I didn’t find out until recently) and I just kinda realized that was the whole point and that I was trying to push people away because of some stuff that happened when I was little (tank you therapist… u da best!) so I get a chance to pour my heart out on a screen and tell everyone how I really felt and who I really am and it is LIBERATING!!!! I feel free as a bird!!!! So that’s one good thing but I also realized how much of a ASSHOLE I was and I’ve dug up a ton of memories that had NO RIGHT to be dug up and should’ve stayed in their dank little caves

So I’ve been tweaking out for a week because now I’m remembering all this shit I did and BOY does that suck :sillyemojiwiththumbsup: and not only that but I’ve completely forgot about that big project! And I have 2 weeks to make a 15 minute animation.(I have 45 seconds done and no interest in wwi anymore… tf2 brainrot would’ve been nice now! Soldiers the onlY reason I did wwi and that’s gone so erm) no idea how I’ll get enough motivation to do that in 2 weeks and write my script that will be 45 minutes long! Yup. I really wish I did it about animation because instead of actually doing anything I’ve been thinking about how I could’ve taught everyone how to animate AND i wouldnt have to make this awful game of uno!

I’m not stressed or anything but I think I should be more concerned about my lack of fucks but uh I’m not able to give a fuck about that either

Today was nice! I got a new dragon, my biggest one yet, an actual proper statue, that is now serving as a dragon-grotesque to protect the entire household. I hope he can help with the new spirit situation, which I did give him the rundown after I bought him. He sits on my front porch under the roof, as he was said to need to not be in direct sunlight (will fade his colors by sun bleaching) but he's otherwise weather resistant.

Yesterday I also bought a deck off someone on Tumblr, AI art unfortunately which is why said deck was being rehomed, but I'm a deck rehomer at heart, and I'll give them a loving home despite the unfortunateness of their art. Now I just have to wait for the seller to ship them and for them to arrive! I am patient, though.

One of my QPPs commissioned me today, my first ever commission! I'm so happy and thankful, he bought the Grand Tableau which means it's gonna take a hot minute and I'll finish it tomorrow for sure. He's not on Tumblr so I can't post it here, which runs the risk of mentioning it coming off as "You're lying... to make your shop seem busy..." but maybe that's just me worrying ceaselessly lol? But I'm wanting to talk about how I got my first proper commission! Thank you to my QPP everyone say "Thank you Khajiit's QPP"!

It's kinda funny that I experimented with making a Pinterest board/section spell jar for a money bowl, and then same day he paid me for a commission. It worked quick and that's just kinda funny to me! I always find it funny when things fucking nyoom. I deeply appreciate you digital money bowl! Good job digital money bowl! Thank you for my gods and saints and heroes that helped with said digital money bowl! I'll keep up the money bowl and we'll see if it brings in anything else.

I also made Unown runes, as well as Daedric and Dovahzul runes. None are currently available for readings, because the Unown runes I need to learn, and the latter two don't even have assigned meanings yet. I made them a bit impulsively but happily, y'know?

Today was a really good day, I'm happy. I'm gonna work on that Grand Tableau until I go to bed, I'm so excited to do it.

I wore all of my new punk/goth clothes to the themepark when going around doing their “trick or treat” activity, and I am happy to announce that every single one of the workers I spoke to absolutely loved it. (Or acted scared of it because- you know they’re in character LMFAO.) One of them even broke character to tell me it was really awesome. It was a super fun day. And got a LOT of stares. Felt great. I love dressing in the clothes I desire to dress in every day for halloween.

I went on a few rides but the fact I have a mild cold (just a stuffy nose tbh) made me extremely exhausted very fast, and caused me to also get very motion sick. I am planning to go hard on the rides tomorrow though. VERY excited.

Now we’re at the theme park’s little huts that you can stay in overnight and let me tell you guys…it’s goddamn goofy and silly. It’s so over the top. But I love it. I will be SLEEPING tonight. Absolutely EEPING. Straight up SNOOZING.

For now though it’s back to drawing some lesbians or something. Was it lesbian day recently? Idk. Saw a lesbian day post this morning. Anyway yes that’s it byebye chat see you later maybe.

wednesday - thursday

did not write riffs today.

i didn't actually do too much creatively... i did get a tiny idea for lyrics, at least.

anyway, i've taken selfies recently and not posted them, so here are the ones from the 22nd:

anyway, i vced with friends today, i don't get to do that too much so that was fun, one told me to check out this band, she saw them open for melt banana, they were on tour with them:

i do think they've got a really sick thing going on, perfectly edgy and weird minimal wave stuff, they're from providence rhode island, so they've also got a bit of that going on, that freak shit, you know.

one thing my friend said, when she saw them live, is they do some very improv-y stuff, which must be sick to see, hopefully they come around here some time. i'd love to see that.

anyway, i got medicine for the potential uti, it's a pain reliever but i'm not really in pain but maybe it will help with sleeping. hope that works!!! i have to pee really bad right now, again, actually. i am also drinking so much water it feels bonkers and i got cranberry juice too but like it's like 100% and i didn't realize and the first bit i got was so strong cuz i did not water it down!! it was so sour, my gf said "it's like thanksgiving fucking your throat."

anyway,, that's today, just kind of sitting around, bullshitting and stuff. i didn't go out for errands with my gf because she woke up late and i didn't know what was happening and she said she didn't have time for me to get ready. her and her mom did go to the thrift store and her mom did buy me a new purse. speaking of:

tomorrow the plan is to shop online...and write riffs... my life is kind of #stupid.

Dragon oc rambles part 1 - Krovin!!!

Welp it’s about to be my birthday in like two days so it’s probably about time I post this next ramble DBFJFJ sorry again that this took forever ive been grinding on Pokémon Violet/j

Anyways Krovin

Strange Homosexual man‼️🇺🇸

a helper around the refugee camp area ig! He helps with food stuff mostly but occasionally helps with like medical stuff n all that jazz,, when he’s not doing that he’s just kinda helping individuals with whatever they may need

YET this man refuses to care for himself in the slightest like sir please sleep for more than 3 hours☹️‼️

He constantly busies himself by helping around the camp however he can when he can because,, well I mean people are losing their homes and families and it’s just a BAD TIME.

So if he can help people and make it so life is SLIGHTLY less shitty then he’s doing good,, and he’ll feel selfish and awful if he stops take care about himself for even a minute

He gets it from his childhood 😁😁 yeah I know an OC with a troubling childhood !! Who coulda seen this coming!

Basically his mother had lost her first son before having Krovin which was already bad enough,, and then her husband went and died after getting caught up in a fight during this one dragon civil war typa conflict,, as you can imagine her mental state kinda went down the drain <33

She wouldn’t leave her bed,, she wouldn’t eat, she kinda just let herself rot away in her room for like several weeks,, eventually Krovin decided to try and take care of her FOR her, so starting when he was around 13-14 all the way up until he was like 26 maybe, he’d make food, he’d make sure she bathed, he’d try to help with her all mental issues and grief and all that jazz

He even started helping around town for some extra money ‼️🔥🔥💰💰🗣 yknow to buy more food and stuff,,

No matter what Krovin did though his mom just couldn’t seem to get better,, mentally at least. Even after years and years of him trying to help her she couldn’t move on

So yeah not a good time for Krovin

Eventually his mother died from a sickness plus her age in her sleep,, which Krovin ended up blaming himself for

Did he not try hard enough? Should he have done more? Maybe he should’ve gotten more money to afford medicine ,, maybe he should’ve BEEN A BETTER SON 🗣🗣🗣🗣 sorry I love that song/j

But yeah all of that is kinda why Krovin refuses to take time to properly care for himself,, he had this mindset that if he didn’t give the whole world for someone he cares for, they’d leave, disappear, say byebye or something like that!!!!!! He’s a lil messed up!!! Traumatized man☹️☹️

Anyways when the whole unicorn takeover thing happened he volunteered to help around and stuff, he hit the jackpot with this one/J

This is when he met Norva. She’d frequently turn up with them dragon refugees and occasionally visit from time to time,, checking in on everyone n all. Krovin liked that she was strong and brave, but was also real damn upset that such a young gal had to go through this situation with everyone else,, and she actually reminded him of when he cared for his mom and that like, REALLY upset him

So during one of her visits he’d approached her and they got to talking and soon became besties ‼️‼️

As I said Krovin admired her strength and bravery, and she appreciated his help around camp,, so yeah they became pretty close. Fatherless gang!!!!/J

And that’s all I have to say about Krovin for now sorry this was such a long ramble OUGH he’s just really neat to me,, dad figure man!!!! Who doesn’t love those dad figures am I right
