I probably shouldn't talk about stuff but that post I just reblogged struck a chord with me and I wanna kinda just type it out and get it out of my system. So if you don't wanna see my "not as bad as it could have been" rant about my parents you can just ignore the rest of this post.
A bit ago, I asked my parents why they take me to see any kind of doctor or psychologist when I was a kid despite my very obvious problems.
And they didn't answer the question. My mom gave a non apology about it saying she was "sorry" that she didn't know I needed help when I was a kid. Which...is factually incorrect, sorry?
My brother got diagnosed with ADHD when he was a very young child. Like, he was that stereotypical "boy with adhd," very rambunctious, couldn't sit still, etc. And my mom did everything she could to help mitigate it, with this being the start of her caring about physical health and trying to give us a more balanced diet. No more instant ramen every night.
But I didn't get any of that? And to be clear, I wasn't a quiet kid. It's actually insane that they did completely nothing about my behavior as a kid. I was violent! A bully! I destroyed school property to the point that my parents were fined! I got suspended for physically beating up one of my classmates, getting so worked up by the tiniest thing that I would break down into tears and lash out at anyone who got too close. You know those jokes about how as a kid you would poke your eraser with your pencil and create a bunch of holes in it? I never did that. I used scissors. And not on erasers.
But my brother was the one who needed the psychologist bc he was hyperactive.
I don't blame my brother. I wouldn't live with him if that were the case. It's not like this was her fault. But what kind of parents just choose not to do anything when they have a kid who is clear a danger to their peers and themself?
It's this clear favoritism that annoys me.
They instead opted to doing nothing. Actually, nothing isn't the right word for it. I was punished very harshly when I was young. I don't remember it, though. I get a headache if I try to think about it which probably isn't good. They just didn't do anything about my behavior outside of the home. No fucking wonder one of my teachers tried to call CPS.
I think, they realized that there was something a little wrong with me when I developed trichotillomania. I guess ripping out my own hair to the point of bald spots was when they thought "hey, maybe we should get this one tested for anxiety." I guess stabbing myself with scissors wasn't a VERY OBVIOUS ISSUE. By that point, I was no longer the bratty, overactive child who my parents recorded whenever I angry cried over the stupidest things. I was a kid who hid in oversized sweatshirts and locked themselves in their room and only came out when strictly necessary and roleplayed pokemon hunger games online and was in "special" classes that taught how to talk to people and had detention once a week. Not like my parents cared. If they cared, then they would've realized me not doing schoolwork but still doing well on tests was for a completely different reason than why that was the case for my brother and sister...
Skipping past high school, at least I was finally able to get out once college rolled around...being out on my own has done a lot for me to better understand myself.
I still don't even hate my parents...this is just a small snippet from one specific angle about my childhood, but typing it out...helps.

welcome to another episode of my mother said something to me so horrendous that I can't stop thinking about it and thats kinda ruining my life.
TW: SA
Last night I decorated and put up the Christmas tree with her. She asked what I'd done last weekend, I told her which friends I'd hung out with, she asked about what they're up to. Very normal, but then she asks about someone we'll call "B" who I haven't been friends with for a few years for some damn good reasons.
(Last time I saw B, her friend X roofied & SAed me (kissing, groping, caressing as I objected, semi-concious) in front of B. She joked "Ooh, looks like he likes you" & "Seems like X has a crush on Eden" & laughed. I got away & collapsed on the couch, but X followed & continued. I told him this was SA, which hurt X's feelings, so he started crying & left after being comforted by B. I got in a cold shower, trying to wake up. B insisted she check on X, since he was sitting in his car outside. B said she'd be right back to get me out of the shower, except she didn't come back. I collapsed & lost consciousness for 3+ hours then woke up naked & shivering. Afterwards B, took X's side, even gave him my Snap when I'd explicitly told her not to. B & X are still friends to this day.)
Despite my mom having heard this story multiple times, I still went through the main points since she asked about B. My mom made it clear she was familiar with the story. So wanting to go back to the positive, I start talking about how meaningful it was to have one of the friends I hung out with this weekend take my side so absolutely when I told her this story a couple years back. The next time that friend ran into X at a party, she called him out in front of everyone.
My mom goes "I don't know about just ganging up on someone like that" and gets up from the table.
"He deserves it! He assaulted me after drugging me and it definitely wasn't his first time. Don't you remember? He was the psychopath that cried and got offended when I literally told him that he was assaulting me and B sympathized with him!"
"You know, crying is a sign of remorse. It's a sign of regret." She nods her head towards me with pointed look and raised eyebrow as if saying and you should think about that.
This woman's insistence is side against her children is disturbing. Whatever X gave me, I experienced symptoms of organ distress, probably my kidneys and liver. Yes, she knows about that too
Oh and something else about X, the next morning he wouldn't leave my home. X taps on my window. I lock it. He knocks on the door till I answer (sleeping roommates), demands we talk, wants to come in. I refuse, but he won't go, so I stand outside. X can't leave without the certainty that he can see me again. Says he knows he violated me, that I said no, want him to leave, am saying no now, but he's still not going to. Not until I promise we can hang out again and give him my number. Not until X is absolutely certain I accept his apology because he really likes me after last night. I'm different from every other girls because I'm his intellectual equal. Don't I agree we'd have better convos with each other than anyone else? X doesn't think I know how beautiful or smart I am, he thinks no man has taken the time to tell me. That's why I'm so special to him.

Keep Watching. Ch 2
Chapter 1 Ao3
---
Chapter 2
After hanging out at the local park, we all finally headed home. It was then I learned that Izuku lived nearby. How did we never cross paths before? At the corner, before heading home, I asked him if he wanted to go bug hunting with me. Usually, Kato and Saito always turned me down. But maybe Izuku was different. "I would love to!" Hearing that made me so happy that I couldn't stop smiling.
"We'll meet here tomorrow morning." Izuku nodded, and he went home. I watched him for a while and saw how he entered the apartments across the street. So, that's where he lived. I wonder what it's like living in one of those. After all, I lived in a house.
The next day, I felt nervous as I waited at the corner for Izuku. I wasn't sure why, but that's what I was feeling. And when Izuku showed up, I was kind of confused. He wore the same shorts from yesterday and a shirt that seemed too big. Not to mention the shirt had a few holes. Was that normal? "Good morning, Kacchan." He wore a big smile as he ran up to me. As I got a closer look, he looked like a mess.
"Good morning, Izuku. Let's go to my place to get my bug net and containers." Izuku nodded, and I grabbed his hand while I pulled him along.
"You got one of the unlimited collectors All Might bronze age poster! You're so lucky, Kacchan!"
I looked over to Izuku as he smiled and commented about my room. My face felt somewhat hot as he kept praising everything. Even saying nice things about my comic book collection. Not to mention talking endlessly about my action figures. That's when I remember the second All Might figure I had gotten from my grandma. Maybe I should give that to him after we were done playing.
We soon went to the park, where Izuku held both bug-holding containers. We spotted a dragonfly flying over our heads as we neared the park. We both laughed as we tried to chase after it. I got my bug net ready, but the dragonfly was too fast and high. "Hold on, Kacchan. I need to catch my breath." I looked behind me and saw Izuku holding his knees as he seemed to struggle to breathe.
"I'm sorry, Izuku. I didn't mean to outrun you."
He quickly stood upright, held his fist in front of his chest, and shook his head. "I'm fine, Kacchan. That dragonfly was just too fast." Even though he was smiling, tears were sliding down his face. I started to walk over to him, but he began to step forward. "Come on, Kacchan. I wonder what bugs we'll find. Maybe we'll come across another dragonfly." Why did this feel so familiar?
But before I could say something, Izuku kept insisting we enjoy today. "Is everything ok?"
"My mom is at work and doesn't know I'm not home." I was in complete shock. "Come on, Kacchan." Izuku's smile made me worry. "It's ok. Mom just works odd jobs." Before long, we were in search of beetles and other bugs. Izuku's laughing and cheering almost made me forget what he had recently said.
âŠ
Since I first spoke with Kacchan, it has been one adventure after another. Form getting the same All Might card to him giving me a matching limited edition All Might action figure. The action figure I had to hide from mom, or else she would have taken it away from me. Which she does whenever I get something she didn't buy me.
I even got to hang out with Kacchan instead of spending my days alone at home while mom worked many jobs. It felt amazing to have a friend. Especially one that was so amazing and is like my hero. We would explore the nearby parks almost every day, or I would visit his home. Sometimes, Kato and Saito would join us at the park, but they often ignored me. It didn't matter to me as long as I spent time with Kacchan.
All though, the only thing we didn't do was spend time at my home. Even more so when mom was home. Maybe I should invite him over when mom would be at work and wouldn't get mad at me. Mom doesn't scream or hit like Kacchan's mom does, but I knew when she was mad. Mom cries a lot, but I knew the difference between angry and sad tears. I don't like either one and would try to avoid them.
I eventually did tell my mom how I had a friend. At first, she didn't react. But when I mentioned how Kacchan invited me to a sleepover, she started asking questions. "Come on, mom. You won't have to worry about if I'm ok while you deal with your double shifts. And you'll be able to sleep in."
"Fine, Izuku." She then got her purse and took out her wallet and a notepad. I watched as she wrote something and then ripped the page out. She then took out a few bills from her wallet. Handing me the money and paper, I was confused. "That's my number. Make sure to give it to your friend's mom."
"Yes, mom." With that, I went to my room. I closed the door and went to my secret hiding spot, and grabbed the gift I got for Kacchan. When I learned Kacchan's birthday was coming up, I saved as much of my allowance as possible to get him something. I may not have eaten anything besides the daycare's meals, but it was worth it. I then packed my bookbag and ran out of the apartment.
When I got to Kacchan's house, I started feeling nervous. Not like I haven't been here before. But today just feels different. I was surprised that it was Kacchan's dad who answered the door. Usually, it was his mom. As I took off my shoes, I faintly heard screaming. Was Kacchan and his mom arguing again? They do this a lot.
Walking into the living room area, I saw how Kacchan's mom looked angrily down at Kacchan. I watched how Kacchan's dad tried to get in between the two. It's always like this. It would often start over with something so small like Kacchan saying something under his breath. That's when she looked up and saw me. Auntie Bakugou smiled at me before telling Kacchan that I was there. "You boys, go play while I finish cooking dinner. And Katsuki, remember what we talked about."
"Yeah, yeah." The way Auntie Bakugou looked at Kacchan scared even me. But thankfully, she went over to the kitchen. That's when Kacchan walked over to me. I could see that he had tears going down his face. As much as I want to ask, I know better. It always makes him more upset. "Do you want to watch a movie or play?"
"We could watch a movie! Oh," I handed him the gift. "I'm sorry I couldn't have given it to you on your birthday. But I hope you like it."
As I watched Kacchan unwrap his gift, he slowly smiled again. But his smile grew when he saw it was an All Might doll. "Thank you so much!" Watching him hug his doll made me happy. I'm so glad that I did this.
As we watched the latest All Might movie, it was so much fun. We spoke about how cool All Might was and pointed out all his incredible moves. It was fun finally having someone else to talk about All Might with. We even ended up acting out the movie after dinner. I don't ever want this night to end.
âŠ
It felt like summer ended too soon when daycare started again. But it was so amazing all that time with Izuku. As we walked, I couldn't stop smiling. Even though I also hung out with Kato and Saito, neither came to my house. Either way, I had so much fun with Izuku, which matters the most to me.
Especially since when Izuku came over after I had a fight with my mom, he would cheer me up. I was shocked when I finally went to his home. His place felt so empty. Even more, knowing his mom was barely home. That's when he told me things, and I watched him painfully cry. I then promised him that he'll never be alone again.
His mom reminds me so much of my mom. I love my mom, but she doesn't ever listen to me. I'm very grateful to have Izuku by my side. Somehow, he just makes everything seem better. Kind of like he was my hero. But I'm too scared to tell him. What if I stop being amazing in his eyes?
"Is everything ok, Kacchan?"
I looked at Izuku and suddenly realized that I was crying. I quickly wiped away the tears, smiled, and gave a thumbs-up. "I'm ok."
"You don't have to lie to me, Kacchan. Is it something about what your mom said the other day?" How does he do that?
"It's nothing like that. I was just thinking about stuff."
"Ok?"
When we arrived at the daycare, I did my best to put on my bravest face. We had a new sitting this year, and I was somewhat surprised that Izuku was placed behind me. Now I won't be able to see him. Maybe this is a good thing because my focus is always on him.
During recess, something amazing happened. As Izuku and I sat under the tree, my hands started to tingle. When I looked at my hands, I noticed they were very sweaty. It almost smells like my dad's palm sweat, with a hint of moms quirk. I wonder.
I stood up, put my hands in front of me, and snapped my figures. Just then, it felt like something had popped into my hands. And it burned. When I looked at my hands, sparks were popping in my hand. It was almost like fireworks. "That's so cool!"
"I know, right!" I looked at Izuku, and he was smiling. "Now all that's left is for you to get your quirk, and we can start training to be heroes."
"I can't wait, Kacchan!" With that, the bell rang, and we returned to the building.
When we got to the classroom, I told our teacher that I got my quirk. "Would you like to share with the rest of the class?" I quickly nodded, and everyone surrounded me. Trying to remember how I activated the reaction from earlier was easy. "Oh wow. That's a very strong quirk. You're going to be super amazing as a hero."
âŠ
What is Kacchan not able to do? It was so amazing to watch how Kacchan got his quirk and how everyone surrounded him. My friend was so cool. And as I watched him show off, his quirk reminded me of his dad's. Either way, it was so cool. I wonder when I'll get my quirk. Maybe it'll be just as impressive as Kacchan's.
Once we were allowed to head home, I noticed the mean boys were talking with Kacchan again. And for some reason, it was making me mad. Even though during the summer we didn't see them much. But I do wonder why they're speaking to Kacchan now. Kacchan seemed to enjoy his chat, so I waited patiently as he spoke. All while, I didn't like it. Before long, he and the others started to walk away. I quickly followed behind. What just happened?
The walk home was strange, almost like I was forgotten. Kacchan only spoke with the other boys. He even showed off his quirk. That's when I remembered that the other two had already gotten their quirks. Now, I for sure felt left out. This wasn't far! Maybe mom would know what to do.
This wasn't possible. At that, why did it have to be me? It didn't help with how mom reacted to the doctor's words. She had an emotionless face before crying, just like the day she told me about dad. "Your son will never have a quirk." No! I won't believe it. I need one to be a hero. What about my promise to Kacchan?
That night mom's words repeated in my head. It didn't help with how she looked at me before turning around. Then thoughts on how Kacchan would react when he finds out. Even recalling how he slowly started to ignore while playing with everyone else. I became angry again until I looked at my All Might doll. He always smiles. He never shows any other emotion. That night I cried myself to sleep, wondering what I should do.
While I slowly made my way to the daycare, I spotted Kacchan at our usual meeting spot. Do I tell him? Would he treat me differently once he knew? While we walked, I couldn't even look at him. But I listened as he excitedly told me how his parents gave him help with his quirk. I tried my best to keep a smile as I enjoyed the joy he shared. "Why didn't you show up yesterday?"
Why did Kacchan have to ask that question? Should I even say it? I tried my best to keep smiling as I looked at Kacchan. "I went to the hospital about my quirk."
Kacchan ran in front of me and had this big smile. Seeing him like this always made me happy. I don't want to ruin that smile. But what am I supposed to do? "So, what quirk do you think you'll have?"
"Aren't we going to be late?"
Kacchan turned around and started to run. "You're right. Let's hurry." He looked behind him. "And then you can tell everyone about you having a quirk!"

#44 Dawn and the Big Sleepover: Chapter 6
Charlotte saves the day!
Notebook entry from Stacey. Despite talking about such a serious matter as their plan to help the Zuni kids, Stacey still manages to dot her i's with little hearts. It just looks off-putting when talking about something so serious.
Anyway, Stacey says Charlotte's addicted to this book series called Freddy the Pig. Never heard of it. We've all heard the story about how Charlotte used to hate school and be miserable, and now she's happier because she skipped a grade ad infinitum. Only thing of importance here is they decided to keep the project idea a secret from their charges, so they could spring it on everyone when they get the right chance. Um, ok.
So after Charlotte shows Stacey some tricks she taught her schnauzer Carrot, they go into the kitchen to have some pretzels. When they get in there, Stacey notices a stack of letters from Charlotte's penpal, Theresa. Charlotte informs her that Theresa's house was one of the ones that caught fire and gives Stacey the letter to read where she describes what happened. The letter is really upsetting, Theresa says her aunt was a teacher at the school and is now unemployed, the only clothes she has are the ones that were in the washing machine during the fire, her TV and VCR were destroyed. Her family is now living with her aunt and uncle, and she says her mom cries a lot and she misses school.
Needless to say, Stacey's heartbroken after reading it, Charlotte is too because Stacey read it out loud...thanks for opening up old wounds, Stacey! Charlotte then immediately freaks out, wondering what would happen if her house burned down. That's the Charlotte we're familiar with. Good lord, she's made of fear. Stacey tells her not to worry about that, and Charlotte keeps panicking, asking if her family could move in with Stacey, because she has no family in the area and wouldn't want to move away. Stacey reassures her everything will be alright, then decides to blow the BSC's secret, to see if that will calm her down. Thankfully, Stacey doesn't get 50 lashes for revealing it, because they all agree she did the right thing.
Charlotte thinks the idea is great and is really excited about it, especially the sleepover. She agrees not to tell anyone, and asks if they're going to have a big school assembly to tell everyone about it. So an 8-year-old can come up with that idea, but seven 11 and 13-year-olds can't? Nice. Stacey says they can tell Dawn right away and instead of calling her like a normal person would, they ride their bikes up to Dawn's house. If I remember correctly from the Complete Guide map (which I don't have anymore), Charlotte lives pretty far away from Dawn's. I'm pretty sure the Johanssens have a phone, which would have made things a lot easier, Stacey! What if she wasn't home, you guys rode up there for nothing!
Thankfully, Dawn and Mary Anne are home, and Dawn says Charlotte's really excited to tell her about her assembly idea. Dawn says she's a totally different person than when she ran off the stage in tears during the Little Miss Stoneybrook pageant (you'd think this was a Nola Thacker book, with all the references to past BSC books).
Also, quick plug, I've done the Little Miss Stoneybrook book on here already. Take a gander at my tags list!
Dawn says it's a great idea, but Mary Anne points out that they wouldn't be able to give one during school, as they all have school too. Nothing wrong with that, they can just get permission to be out of school for a little bit! How about having one of the teachers explain it to the kids, instead of you guys blowing off school? Because convincing your teachers you had to skip class to go talk to elementary school kids about a project not related to school? Good luck with that. But since this is Stoneybrook, of course they get to go.
And Charlotte saves the day again! They should just make her an honorary BSC member at this point.

i don't feel good. i feel little. words are hard to find and i want to talk to someone but its late and no one is awake and i dont really have anything to say.
i feel bad for myself. like, not really the myself of the now, she doesn't need my pity, but like my small self. and maybe that is the myself of the now. at least, that's what it feels like.
this year its gotten progressively harder to remind myself that my parents love me. i know they do. they do, right? but like my dad never visits and my mom doesn't text anymore and no one knows my interests or my hobbies or what im doing in school and it just feels so lonely sometimes.
most of the time i feel normal. grown. i have my own apartment and my own money and my own life. but sometimes my car breaks down or an assignment makes me cry or i look at my bank account and i just want an adult that i can call and say "i feel sad, please help" and actually get help.
i don't feel good. i feel sick-sad, where my stomach is all twisty and my hands feel like they're buzzing and i keep rubbing my cheek on my stuffed animal just to feel its softness. i feel scared. i feel alone.
it makes me feel insane sometimes, this distance between my parents and i. it makes me feel desperate, crazy for seeking out this parental relationship with any adult that comes into my life.
my friend's mom sent me a starbucks giftcard. i cried. a different friend's mom bought me a crockpot because my friend told her ive been struggling cooking meals for myself. a different friends mom offered to buy me groceries because i was worried i wouldn't be able to afford them. each of them have had more one-on-one, genuine conversations with me than i've had with my parents in the last few years. i feel sick. i went to my professor's house and he watched me accidentally burn 2 marshmallows in a row and said "do you want me to make you one?" and i literally could've cried then and there. i went on a date with a girl who talked about how she loves her mom so much and knows she's her number one supporter. she asked me about my relationship with my parents and i didn't even wanna say it. i feel insane.
i feel pitiful, but i just wanna be taken care of for a bit. just wanna lay down on the couch with my head in someones lap and not have to worry about taking care of myself for a minute. it doesn't seem so much to ask but im wondering if it really is. if im too much.
when i get like this, sometimes i get a thought like "i miss my dad" or "i miss my mom" but then i see them and it doesn't make the ache go away. i don't miss them, i miss something i don't think ive had in a long time (maybe ever) and its devastating because i don't know if i'll ever get it. i passed the age where i can sit in my mom's lap and cry because i got a hole in my favorite socks, or where i can call my dad and ask him what i should have for dinner because i can't make a decision right now. i feel so old and so young and so sad.
thanksgiving is coming up and im looking forward to it for the food and the company but like. i can't even be myself around my family half the time, not because they would disapprove (some of them would) but because they don't care. it's always "how are your grades? still in your major? where do you live now?" and not like "so what've you been up to? done anything fun? how are you? what do you like to do?" because in their mind, they don't need to ask those questions, they think they already know. they think im still the quiet, book-nerd, shy girl in the back of the class. which, part of me still is, but i like other things now. im another person now.
every year i get asked what i want for christmas and every year im happy with what i get. im not hard to shop for, i don't think, but especially these past years ive realized that like... no one knows what i want because they don't know what i like. part of that is because im intensely insecure about my interests and part of it because i have a reason to be - id get made fun of and there's certain things i just really don't wanna hear shit about.
so this year i sucked it up and made a christmas list. an actual one, with stuff i like on there, even if my family doesn't understand it or know the tv show references or why i want so many stickers. i made a big list of everything ive secretly been wanting, ranging from like $1 stickers to like $40 sweaters. it was oddly scary for me. it still is. i don't know if anyone will get me anything off that list, but if they do, im scared for the reaction, just a bit. i don't wanna open something on christmas and get "yeah, so what is that? i don't get it" or "that sounds gay" when i explain it, or "okay..." when they're disinterested.
i know its a little silly but i don't really care. im sad. my head hurts. its late but im not tired and i just want a hug. i wanna rock back and forth and hold my weighted dinosaur and chew on his horns. im so done with this

Take you like a drug
I taste you on my tongue
Tongues battling for dominance, bodies rubbing against each other searching for a feeling. Itâs become routine now, a different person in your dorm swallowing a new pill, entangling limbs with someone just to feel something.
You ask me what I'm thinking about
I tell you that I'm thinking about
Whatever you're thinking about
Tell me something that I'll forget
And you might have to tell me again
It's crazy what you'll do for a friend
It was a constant cycle, putting yourself out there seeking the male attention you crave, seeking validation, constant reassurance and trusting too easily. Thatâs how you ended up with a different guy who always in the end leaves. You trusted too easily and people took advantage of how trusting and naive you are just for a quick shag.
You wished it wasnât like this but thatâs all you knew, wanting to be the best version of yourself for someone just to feel needed, no matter if the person was good or bad for you. You didnât care, you wanted love from anyone you could get it from even if it just hurt you more.
Youâre familiar with the absence, something stable made you feel a bit wary. It wasnât something you were used to. Your father wasnât the most present in your life, and even though he's there, he's never really there.
Go ahead and cry, little girl
Nobody does it like you do
I know how much it matters to you
I know that you got daddy issues
And if you were my little girl
I'd do whatever I could do
I'd run away and hide with you
I love that she's got daddy issues, and I do too
You always wondered where you went wrong, he preferred your siblings over you and doesn't pay you a piece of his mind. Constantly going out of your way to get his attention whether it was academically or acting a certain way just to get some sort of reaction. But he was too preoccupied with his other children, even if they were from your mom or his affairs.
Thatâs how you found yourself right now sitting in the astronomy tower past curfew watching the rain fall, trying to clear your head while humming softly to yourself to keep yourself distracted.
You hear distant chattering from below and quickly get up from where you were sitting and make your way to your dorm unnoticed by anyone.
Except one person, Draco Malfoy.
I tried to write your name in the rain
But the rain never came
So I made with the sun
The shade
Always comes at the worst time
Heâs seen you before, youâre known around Hogwarts for how you put yourself out there and how âdesperateâ you are for some affection. He almost feels bad for you, but heâs in no place to judge. With his dad in Azkaban Draco had so much more to worry about, like his task and how he can succeed. But there was something about you that intrigued him that he couldn't ignore.
He saw you again in transfiguration the next day and noticed a few hickeys littering your neck that you had tried to cover but it didnât work. He wondered why you gave yourself up to so many people, but once again he was in no place to judge. He noticed the way your tongue would stick out when you focused extra hard, the way your hands would tighten around your quill when you got a question wrong and your face.
The same face that many boys including the older years would fawn over, the face that entranced and attracted many, the face of someone who would do anything for someone for some affection and the face of someone who seeked out all the wrong things.
You ask me what I'm thinking about
I tell you that I'm thinking about
Whatever you're thinking about
Tell me something that I'll forget
And you might have to tell me again
It's crazy what you'll do for a friend
You walk out of transfiguration on your way to the owlery to send a letter to your parents and feel eyes watching you everywhere. You like it, the attention, itâs something that you thrived in, but you couldnât help but feel a new set of eyes on you.
Once you reached the owlery you realized you weren't the only one there, Draco Malfoy was also there sending a letter to who you assumed was his mother.
ây/n, right?â he asked, trying to spark a conversation.
âYea, listen iâm sorry about what happened with your father i know you really looked up--â
âDont worry about it, he wasnât as good an influence as I made him out to be,â he sighed, looking away.
âMy dad isnât the best either if iâm being honest, i guess weâre in the same boatâ you let out a light chuckle.
And thatâs how you found yourself hanging out with draco malfoy bonding over your shared issues.
Go ahead and cry, little girl
Nobody does it like you do
I know how much it matters to you
I know that you got daddy issues
And if you were my little girl
I'd do whatever I could do
I'd run away and hide with you
I love that she's got daddy issues
Itâs been weeks since you two started hanging out since the interaction in the owlery and have been getting closer ever since. You both sat down together in the astronomy tower, backed against the wall as the cool wind blew against your faces. The aura between you two was calm, a comfortable silence.
âSo tell me about your dad, how is it with him in Azkaban?â you asked, tilting your head towards him.
âMotherâs not taking it wellâ he frowned. âI canât even say potterâs wrong for getting him locked up because he deserves it. All my life he praised the dark lord and taught me to be selfish and always defend my blood, but he was never there for me when I needed him. I would have done everything just to hear âiâm proud of youâ but it never came. Itâs worse now because motherâs all alone. I wish I could have stayed with herâ he sighed looking out the tower watching the stars twinkle.
âIâve noticed youâve been much quieter this year as well, you stopped making fun of people. Itâs not that nice on the receiving end huh?â you said with a teasing look on your face.
He shook his head at you scooting closer to you, itâs like the demeanor between you two have changed over the past few weeks. You found yourself pining over him rather than being in someone's bed. But this is how the cycle always goes, you get attached and they leave, you couldnât help but hope this wasnât the situation this time.
âTell me about your fatherâ
Daddy stuck around but he wasn't present
Cheated on your mom but she never left him
First I didn't get it, now I understand
He broke her heart, left money in her hand
So everything got paid for
She made sure you and your brother had way more
Than she ever had growing up
And when you told me the whole story I felt like throwing up
â I don't know if iâd even call him my father at this point, he doesn't want me.â you sighed. âHe's been cheating on my mum for years now and she still won't leave him because she thinks they can work it out. Heâs had affairs with different pureblood women and has children with them. But what hurts the most is how he treats them as his own children and treats me as if I don't existâ you said, looking down as tears pooled your eyes.
Draco moved closer to you and brought his arm around your shoulders for a sense of comfort and waited for you to catch your breath so you can continue.
âI just want him to love meâ you cried. âI go out my way to try and get his attention with my school work but it never works. That's why I get along with so many guys. I seek the validation, the comfort and the reassurance that I can get from him from others and I am so tired of it. I just want him to want me draco.â tears slipping out your eyes as you looked up at him, youâve never confessed this to anyone before.
âEveryone always leaves, please don't leave meâ you cried
âIâm not going anywhereâ he turned his face towards you, leaning forward cautiously as if you were made of glass.
You leaned forward, wanting the exact same thing. Both very hesitant he gently pressed his soft lips against yours and they moved together in sequence, only taking a break to go back to his dorm and to breathe, limbs tangled together for the rest of the night until the sun rose.
I can see it on your face it was rough left a bad taste on your tongue
And she didn't even take any drug
She would rain all day
Couldn't wait for her son to shine
And you made it shine
There when she cried, you saved her life
It's been a week since that night in the astronomy tower and draco had already been avoiding you. Itâs humiliating, but you should have known. You thought the âbondâ you had with him would last, it felt so genuine this time. So real.
Youâd see him around the halls snogging pansy on your way back to the ravenclaw tower, lowering your head down so he wouldnât be able to see you so you could get by quickly and unnoticed.
But he saw you.
He stared you right down in your teary eyes as he made out with pansy. You couldnât help but feel a sense of betrayal, for someone who promised he wouldnât leave you like everyone else, he did the exact same.
You did the only thing you knew of, you ran.
I keep on trying to let you go
I'm dying to let you know
How I'm getting on
I didn't cry when you left at first
But now that you're dead it hurts
This time I gotta know
Where did my daddy go?
I'm not entirely here
Half of me has disappeared
Draco followed you to the girls lavatory, hearing your shallow cries coming from one of the stalls. He approached the stall you were in trying not to make too much noise so he doesn't startle you.
He felt awful.
He promised he would never leave you, after you both poured your hearts out to each other but he still left. He had too, he was putting you in danger just by being with him. If Voldemort ever found out about you and hurt you he wouldn't be able to live with himself, that's why he took it upon himself to hurt you first.
ây/n are you in here?â he called out even though he knew the answer.
You recognized that familiar voice anywhere. âWhat do you want draco?â you said, trying to make it seem as if you werenât just crying.
âI want to talk to you, pleaseâ
âNo,â you said getting up and pushing yourself out of the stall. âYou don't get to just throw me away after I told you everything and just come back into my life like nothing ever happened. Just go away, that's all you guys are good forâ you spat.
âJust listen to me, it was to keep you safe. I didn;t want to but i couldn't bear seeing you hurtâ he tried to explain.
âSafe?â you laughed. â and what exactly do i need saving from, malfoy.â
âFrom meâ he said as he pulled up his sleeve revealing his dark mark to you. Your body instantly tensed, you knew he was having problems and his family was involved with the dark lord but you never knew it was like this.
âDraco i-â you tried to say something but the words were stuck in your throat. He stood there looking at you desperately like he was waiting for you to tell him everything was okay, you wanted to be there for him but you didnât know what to do. You trusted him with everything but he couldn't trust you with this? You thought the bond you had made would have made him trust you in the slightest, but clearly it's always you whoâs more trusting.
âWhy didn't you tell me?â you managed to say, your voice hoarse.
âI thought youâd leave me, you were the only good thing i had. Please don't leave meâ he begged, salty tears escaping his eyes and running down his cheeks as he looked at you with desperation.
âSo you thought pushing me away by snogging pansy was better?â you yelled, as he continued to look at you slightly taken aback by your lashing out.
âYou know what, go ahead and cry little boy. You know that your daddy did too, you know what your mama went through. You gotta let it out soon, just let it outâ you taunted walking closer to him looking straight into his teary eyes.
âThis time I'll be the one that leaves.â and with that you were gone.
Go ahead and cry, little girl
Nobody does it like you do
I know how much it matters to you
I know that you got daddy issues
And if you were my little girl
I'd do whatever I could do
I'd run away and hide with you
I love that she's got daddy issues, and I do too
Itâs been months since that night in the girls lavatory, and you missed him. You wanted to visit him in the hospital wing once you heard what happened with Harry Potter, but you couldnât bring yourself to do so. He left you, and you were tired of always going back to people who just hurt you.
Now here you were at the battle of Hogwarts, standing with everyone while Voldemort and his death eaters stood across from you all.
âDraco, draco come hereâ you heard narcissa call from across the scene. He looked hesitant, as if he was waiting for someone to stop him but no one did. So he started walking over to his parents.
But you grabbed his hand.
âStay pleaseâ you whispered looking up into his eyes.
He looked back at his parents and back at you like he was contemplating his answer.
âIâll stayâ
If you were my little girl
I'd do whatever I could do
I'd run away and hide with you
I love that she's got daddy issues, and I do too

YOUR EYES TELL | JJK | 15 (FINAL)
Summary: You live in a world where people see in black and white. The solution to finally see the colors? Itâs simple. What ifâŠJeongguk, your soulmate, is already in love with someone else?
Alternatively:
âA future without you is a world without color.â
Genre: soulmate au, e2l, slow burn, angst, fluff, roommate au
Pairing: Artist!Jungkook x Lawyer!Reader
Word Count: 4k
SERIES:Â CHAPTER 14 | SPECIAL CHAPTERÂ
"You sure you don't need anything?"
You weren't sure if it was annoyance or amusement that caused you to chuckle upon hearing hesitation in your father's voice.
"I'm good, Appa." You assured him, "it's just Jeongguk. Don't worry."
You were wrong. He wasn't worried because of Jeongguk. He was worried because of you.
"Okay," your father let out a deep sigh as he tried to calm his mind. "I trust your soulmate. Have fun, love."
And just like that, the call ended.
Soulmate.
After everything that had happened, your father still believed that Jeongguk was your soulmate.
You still did too. How could you deny that fact when you could clearly see colors now?
It had been four months since your eye surgery. You didn't think it was going to be a successful, mainly because you were convinced that Jeongguk's hatred towards you was the reason why you went blind.
Apparently, it was your fault.
You knew it was reckless to drive when you were under the influence of alcohol. This wasn't just about you. This was also about the people who could have suffered because of your stupidity.
Your father was actually disappointed in you. He didn't expect you to do something like this, especially because he knew that you had a careful approach in life.
You hated being a burden. Your greatest fear was to be the reason why someone was hurting. Your father didn't understand what ticked you to break out of character, and so he asked. He asked what was wrongâcausing you to break into tears.
You couldn't keep this to yourself anymore.
You told him about everything you had been going throughâlike how your soulmate didn't love you and how stressful being a lawyer was.
Of course your father understood, but he told you that it wasn't an excuse to put yourself and other people in danger.
There were other ways to welcome or ignore pain. You agreed since it wasn't like you planned this to happen.
Your father didn't believe in you, though. He felt like you were trying to harm yourself. This was why he called you every single day. He wanted to make sure that you weren't driving or doing things you weren't supposed to do.
He freaked out when you told him that you were going out with Jeongguk tonight. It wasn't because he hated your soulmate. Admittedly, he felt like you were lying when you told him that Jeongguk didn't love you.
That can't be right. It was obvious. Your father had met your soulmate and he saw the way Jeongguk looked and talked about you. He couldn't be wrong; the boy destined to be with you was whippedâas in madly in love with you.
His claim turned out to be true when right after your surgery; you gasped and cried so hard because finally, you could see colors.
It was too good to be true. Was this seriously happening? Was Jeongguk really in love with you?
You couldn't tell.
You used to think that seeing colors was the indication of your soulmate's love for you, but it had been months now yet Jeongguk hadn't verbally told you that he loved you.
Sure. Actions spoke louder than words. You guessed you just had to be contented with this.
The past four months felt like a dream. Jeon Jeongguk, the most stubborn and egotistical person in the world, was acting like a lovesick fool because of you.
You told yourself that you did not want to love your soulmate. You stood by this. You had been ignoring Jeongguk's attempt to 'win you over.'
(Un)fortunately, the boy just wouldn't stop.
He would send you letters written in a small sticky note every day just to tell you the sappiest thing. On the other side of the sticky note, there's an exquisite drawing of every detail about you.
You realized that it was some sort of puzzle, but you hadn't really had the chance to piece it together because you were too caught up with the words written in the sticky notes.
Note 1 Red Red is the first color in the rainbow. She is my first love, but it ended. I'm saying this because I realized that the start isn't always the end. Sheâs the beginning, you are my end game.
This was the first note you had received from your soulmate. It was plastered on your front doorâthis was also the first thing you had seen after you had been discharged from the hospital.
Note 2 Orange Orange is the color I thought I know by heart. As it turns out, I've been fooled. I have been fooled by the world, but it's okay. You helped me see.
This note was unclear to you, yet it didn't fail to make your heart feel light. You weren't aware that Jeongguk was talking about how the florist who sold him orange tulips for almost a decade, the one who fooled him.
No one could take advantage of him now, though. You helped him with this problem.
Note 3 Yellow My mom said that yellow is the prettiest color. She also said that it shines the brightest. I'm glad I didn't believe her. It wasn't bright at all. It only reminds me of the time I thought I'll lose you.
It took you long to realize what he was implying.
Yellow.
This was the color of your shirt when your car crashed. Jeongguk remembered how dark life was when you were pushing him away.
Your soulmate had sent you hundreds of letters by now. All of his notes started with colors. Out of all the things he sent you, the yellow note was what stuck to you the most.
The black world was frightening. It felt cold and lonely and Jeongguk was exactly like that. He was lonely. He suffered from a major heartbreak that was why he turned cold. He hated what Red had done to him, but he wasn't really different from his ex-girlfriend.
Jeongguk hurt you the same way Red hurt him, but your soulmate was willing to do everything to make it up to you.
Aside from the notes, you also found out that Jeongguk was the one who cooked your food each day. You got mad at Red because she failed to tell you the truth. There was even a point wherein you stopped eating the food your soulmate had prepared since you literally didn't want to do anything with him anymore.
Jeongguk was still persistent. He would always pick you up from work and then he would ask if you wanted to grab dinner with him.
You always declined his offer to take you out. Turning him down was always part of your daily routine, so you didn't know what changed this Saturday night.
Why, after four months, did you finally accept Jeonggukâs attempt to ask you out?
"Can't resist his bambi eyes, can you?" Jimin laughed on the other line. Your best friend called right after your short phone conversation with your dad. It was like everyone was interested in your business tonight.
"It's just one date, Jimin," you rolled your eyes, yet the blush in your cheeks indicated that Jimin was right.
You still couldn't resist Jeon Jeongguk.
It wasn't like you were giving into him. No. It would take more than his wide, doe eyes to melt your cold, cold heart. He hurt you after all.
But last night was different.
You were supposed to have dinner with your subordinates since it was Friday, but then you spotted Jeongguk waiting outside the building of your small law firm.
He was standing there with trembling lips. Your soulmate was freezing under the cold winter, yet he still chose to wait for you.
You see, Jeon Jeongguk was banned from entering your office. You told the securities not to let him in since he was distracting everyone at work.
Your employees just couldn't stop gushing over your soulmate to the point that they weren't able to finish their task for the day. They were always trying to get Jeongguk's attention and the most annoying part was that your soulmate didn't seem to mindânot because he was a flirt too. It was actually because he was too naĂŻve for his own good.
So yeah. You banned him from entering the building because he was a distraction and definitely not because you were blinded by your stupid jealousy. No. Not at all.
He was your soulmate, yes, but it didn't mean you had to stay together. The only thing you two should do was to try to be casual and not hate each other.
You couldn't afford to make Jeongguk hate you. This was the only rational reason why you agreed to go out on a date with him tonight. You were just scared and guilty for letting him wait for you in the snow.
"Whatever you say," you could imagine Jimin's teasing expression despite not seeing his face. "Have fun, okay? Love you!"
"Ditto! See you soon," you pressed the end bottom of your phone as your doorbell rang.
Seven pm. You bit your lower lip, glancing at the clock. Jeongguk was right on time. He told you last night that he would be outside of your door at exactly seven in the evening.
You sighed and fixed your hair a little before opening the door.
Jeongguk practiced speaking the things he would say to you tonight in front of the mirror. He swore he prepared so hard because he didn't want to disappoint you. He felt like this was his only shot with you, unfortunately it seemed like he was destined to fuck things up with you again.
"Oh fuck," his eyes dilated upon seeing you.
You were wearing this pretty dress that accentuated your curves. You looked so expensive and exquisite that Jeongguk felt like he was out of place.
Your soulmate was wearing a thick sweater and black sweatpants. His hair was messier because of the winter wind.
"You're not dressed." This was the first thing you said to him. The scowl on your face made him think that you already regretted agreeing to spend this night with him.
He was wrong. You were only frowning because you felt embarrassed. You took your sweet time preparing for this date. You even rushed to buy a fancy dress just this morning, causing you to feel like a fool.
It was clear now that you were more excited than the man who practically begged you to go out with him.
"I-I just thought it'd be better to stay home because of the weather." The boy said sheepishly while showing you the home cooked food he had prepared for this date.
You swallowed hard.
"Come in." And then you opened the door wider for him.
Jeongguk let out a sigh of relief. At least you did not kick him out. He wouldn't know what to do if that happened. He missed your home so much. He missed Miri as well. Too bad the fury pet wasn't around.
Miri visited the Kims' mansion every Saturday. Red picked the cat earlier this day. She said Miri was the only one that could make Soobin smile. Red and Seokjin, the newlywed couple, were only allowed to visit Soobin every Saturday. They always take the little boy to a nice place with your cat Miri.
Jeongguk realized that it was a blessing in disguise that the cat wasn't around since no one was scratching the couch where you and him currently sat on.
Jeongguk's idea for this date night was to simply watch some movies while eating. He thought that this was the perfect plan, sadly it looked like you didn't share the same sentiment.
"Jeongguk," irritation was laced in your voice as you called your soulmate's name.
You were irritated for the reason that you felt like he didn't really want to be here.
Jeongguk seemed preoccupied. It was apparent when you asked him what film he wanted to watch. He simply said 'whatever you want," while staring at you blankly.
You let it pass at first, but you couldn't ignore it now that the movie had ended and it appeared like he didn't even realize.
Jeongguk was silent beside you, but he couldn't sit without fidgeting. The air was awkward. He looked awkward, like he was uncomfortable or something. He wasn't even eating his food.
"Did you like the movie? Were you scared?"
"Uh," Jeongguk was staring again. "I'm...yeah. It's pretty scary,"
"Oh." You narrowed your eyes at him. "I didn't know you were afraid of zombies."
"Yeah. I am," he wasnât and you knew it.
You huffed, crossing your arms. He was such a liar.
"The movie that we just watched," you gritted your teeth. "Isn't about zombies, Jeongguk. It's not even a horror film. It's Toy Story 4!"
You were annoyed. Why did Jeongguk even ask to be with you when he wasnât going to pay attention to you or to the things the two of you were supposed to do?
"I'm sorry..."
And there's it again. The insincere apology. He was always sorry, but he never changed.
"You know what? Just go home. I..." You trailed off as tears filled your eyes.
Why did you always have to make a fool of yourself because of him?
"I don't want you here."
Jeongguk's heart sank upon hearing the words that left your mouth.
"No please," he also turned pale, eyes turning wide because he wasn't expecting this date to turn out like this. What he wanted to happen was to enjoy the winter night cuddled with you as the two of you watched a romantic movie.
Jeongguk imagined watching Love 911 to give you an idea of some of the things he wanted to try with you.
"What do you mean no? It's obvious that you don't want to be here. You're not even paying attention."
"It's not like that," he avoided your gaze.
You only scoffed. Typical Jeongguk. Always telling you that you didn't get him.
"Then what is it? Why do you look uncomfortable? Why do you look like you don't want to be hereâ"
"I told you it's not like that!" He was staring at you using those big eyes. His thin beckoning lips protruded into a pout.
"I just!" He sighed like he found it hard to explain what he felt. "Can't concentrate on other things because all I can think about is you!â
"Whatâ"
He didn't let you finish. Jeongguk was rambling. He was nervous. He didn't want you to get mad at him again.
"Your dress really looks so good on you and your make up is really nice. You're really pretty...and really beautiful and really sexy and I really just...reallyâ"
"Huh." you pouted, slightly cringing because of his excessive use of the word really. "So now you're blaming the way I look?"
You were teasing him to get rid of the funny feeling in your stomach. Damn Jeongguk for confusing the hell out of you. You were supposed to be annoyed, but why were you smiling?
And why the hell was it so easy to melt into him?
"No!" Jeongguk groaned. He was getting frustrated. You seemed to always twist his words and extrapolate things.
"Look..." He closed his eyes since he couldn't bear to look at you anymore. He was scared to see the disappointment in your eyes.
"I just love you okay? Like really, really, in love with you."
Jeongguk's heartbeat doubled when you didn't speak.
Silence engulfed the whole room that he was forced to open his eyes.
His heart went even crazier. It was beating erratically.
Why were you staring at him with an agape mouth?
"What did you say?" You were no longer in the mood to fool around. Sure, you were teasing Jeongguk, but it didn't mean he could also joke about feelings and love.
It wasn't fair.
"I love you?" Jeongguk said, unsure.
He wasn't unsure of his feelings. He just didn't know if you were referring to the last words he uttered.
"You...love me?" You were still in doubt.
Jeongguk simply nodded his head; a soft smile was plastered on his lips as he scrunched his nose. You knew this look well. This was his genuine self and it only meant one thing.
He wasn't lying.
"But..." you bit the inside of your cheek. "This is the first time you told me that."
"I thought it's obvious?" Jeongguk mirrored your confused expression.
He expressed what he felt for you by singing. Jeongguk thought you understood.
You did not. The song lifted your spirit and you also found the gesture sweet, but you still didn't realize it was his way of confessing.
"I mean..." Jeongguk pouted his lips more. "Your eyes tell, right? You can see colors now."
As soon as these words escaped his mouth, Jeongguk felt like he had been hit by a truckâcrushing his bones and telling him how stupid he was for crossing the street even though there were signs that told him to stop.
Signs.
The signs had been there all along.
"You love me..." Jeongguk blurted out. His realization was too sudden that he couldn't help but a cry a little.
You panicked as you asked him what was wrong.
"I wasted six months because of how stupid I am!" His answer was unclear.
"Gukkie," you put your hands on the either side of his shoulder, urging him to look at you. "You're not making sense. Speak slowly."
Jeongguk shook his head, tears still painting his cheeks. It was funny how the situation kept on turning around. Just a few breaths ago, you were the one who was on the verge of crying.
"I told you you didn't understand!" Jeongguk was still not making sense, but you decided to stay quiet and let him speak.
It looked like he needed an outlet for the reason that his emotions were overflowing.
"I left b'cause I thought...you...d-din't love me!" He sobbed and your heart cracked.
How could he think this way when all you had ever done was make him feel the love you felt for him?
Jeongguk's twisted expression told you that you had voiced out the question running inside your mind out loud.
"I called you delusional since I believed that you really are," he was bringing back the wounds that you were trying so hard to forget.
Still, you didn't stop him from speaking.
"H-How can you be sure you love me when I myself know that I am not worthy of your love?"
Jeongguk knew that he had always been mean to you. He hadn't done anything to make you fall in love with him that was why he was questioning your feelings.
It wasn't him whom you loved. It was the idea of him being your soulmate. You liked the thought that there was someone out there for you.
It made sense now, though. The fact that he could see colors brightly made him realize that your feelings were real, but it didn't mean he understood your reasons.
Jeongguk stood by his statement. He was unworthy of your love.
"You're not doubting yourself, Jeongguk." You shook your head at him, proving him otherwise. "You are doubting my feelings for you."
This wasn't about Jeongguk's beliefs. This was about you. You grew up thinking that when you felt like everything was collapsing, your only choice was to trust what you feel was right. It's because at the end of the day, you were going to be the one to face the consequence of your actionsânot your parents, not your friends, and not even your soulmate. They would be affected by your decisions, yes, but only indirectly.
They could make their own choices that would directly affect their lives even if their choice was based on your decision. People would end up having different results even though they walked on the same path.
"But why me?"Â Jeongguk sounded broken as he asked this. It hurt you to think that he really thought so lowly of himself.
He couldn't be blamed. He loved Red before; however, it was still not enough. He had moved on from her, but it didn't mean that all the scars would fade away.
His first breakup up caused him to think that despite giving your one hundred percent, it would still be lacking for some people.
But you weren't some people.
You were you and you had your reason.
"Sometimes you don't need a reason to love someone." Your reason was not having a reason at all.
Your soulmate wasn't sure if he agreed to what you said.
Jeongguk didn't believe that just because things existed, it was already valid. Validation cannot be valid if one would not give enough reasons to prove why it's worth validating.
This was the reason why Jeongguk was questioning the love you claimed you felt. He needed reasons. He was just a human after allâalways in need of affection and reassurance.
"I mean...I tried thinking of a reason why I shouldn't love you, but I just can't find any." Your confession made Jeongguk blush.
You had always been straight forward.
The way you loved was the opposite of how your soulmate loved. This was probably the explanation why it took him long to admit his feelings for you.
As stated, Jeongguk was in constant need of reason. His drawings of you were his proof of the love he felt.
"If you can't find any reason, then just allow me to tell you the million reasons why I love you."
He didn't wait for your answer. Jeongguk simply moved closer to you. His face was just inches away from yours.
"You're smart." And then he kissed your forehead.
You weren't only a book smart. You were emotionally intelligent. You had taught Jeongguk a lot of things, especially when it came to forgiveness and compassion.
"You're brave." He kissed you left eye.
He remembered the night you told him you liked him. It was in front of many people. You didn't hesitate even when he was running away.
"You're patient and understanding," he kissed your right eye.
You tried to understand Jeongguk's annoying attitude.
"You work hard in all aspects." He kissed your nose.
"You're beautiful," he kissed your left cheek.
You really were. Inside and out.
"It's you,"
Jeongguk didn't know if he could love someone who wasn't you.
"Most importantly, I love you because you are my soulmate." And then he kissed you on the lips.
You laughed in between the kiss, but you didn't stop kissing him back.
Did you forgive him?
The answer was yes.
Were you ready to love him again?
Perhaps.
Were you still hurt by his actions before?
Yes.
Did you want to be with him?
Yes.
There were many questions flooding your mind right now. Some of your answers might not be the truth, maybe you were just too happy right nowâcaught up in the moment because you were in Jeongguk's arms again.
But it didn't matter now because one thing was sure.
You were willing to love Jeon Jeongguk again because you didn't want to repeat his mistake.
You didn't want to lose your soulmate just because of hatred and denial.
Things were clear now.
Jeon Jeongguk loved you and the world was no longer black and white.

Spectacular!
Pairing: Alive! Luke Patterson x Fem Reader
Summary: Inspired by Nickelodeonâs Spectacular! Luke Patterson needs the money for his bands demo, and miraculously, that same night he gets an offer to fix his problem. The catch? Rockstar boy has to join his schoolâs show choir and put up with their fearless Female Lead Singer. (donât come here searching for accuracy remember itâs inspired by a movie)
Note: I had a lot of fun with this one, hope you like it! Oh and itâs a little long so keep it in mind +8kđđ
Say this is not her scene would be to fall short, but she has to make sacrifices to find greatness. The first thing she notices when she walks into the little club, is that it's packed. The people look excited and somewhat desperate and she doesn't blame them. The pamphlet marked they were supposed to start at 8:00 p.m. and it's already 8:40. She makes her way carefully until she finds a perfect place in the middle of the room.
The musicians take the stage visibly anxious, especially Alex who cannot stop moving his hands trying to probably calm himself down. Reggie and the rhythm guitarist take their positions. They look at each other one last time before beginning to play the enveloping sound of the pop-rock song. The bass line sounds insane and she hasn't heard Alex play drums in years, heâs exceptional. They could both play without their singer all night and she wouldn't mind.
The space in the center of the stage that belongs to who she came to see today, completely empty. The bassist seems about to take the first verse when Sunset Curve lead guitarist and vocalist Luke Patterson appears on stage.
She has seen him multiple times in the hallways laughing with her childhood best friend, Alex Mercer and her lab partner, Reggie Peters, but she has never spoken directly to him. Still, it's hard not to notice how handsome he is and how much of a charismatic personality he has.
âI'm living my life just the way I like, they say I get a little too loud. Try to push me in a box, over analyze. But I'm never gunna turn it downâ
His voice is enchanting and mesmerizing, a sound that immediately reminds her of the best rockers in history and his movements and energy are electrifying. In seconds the entire audience is jumping and dancing to the beat.
âThey say never and I say right now!â Y/N analyzes him excitedly. The passion with which he sings and plays his guitar reminds her of when she is on stage, although the two of them dedicate themselves to totally different things, their love for music is the same. She definitely has a lot of work to do to polish him and make him the perfect performer she needs, but if there's anyone who can accomplish the impossible, it's her.
âNo one's gonna stop me tonight! Thank you, we are Sunset Curve, tell your friends!â The presentation ends and Sunset Curve leaves the stage. The girl moves quickly to catch up with them at the back of the club, but when she finally arrives, screams can be heard from two of the members of the band.
âI know you donât like me, Bobby. But trying to sabotage the show by giving me the wrong time is just the most stupidest thing you've ever done!â The guitarist looks furious, his muscles are really tense and Y/N can't help staring at his biceps way more than she probably should.
"This fight of egos between the two of you has to stop, we can no longer continue to be in the middle." The bassist cries out, tired of all the bickering.
âYou no longer have to, Reggie. Itâs time to decide. The lousy rocker or me. Remember that the money for the demo is mine before choosing... I'm not sure Patterson's lyrics can compete without the money to record them.â
The guitarist looks down at the ground, a mixture of anger and sadness on his face. Alex and Reggie turn to see each other for a second and then position themselves on either side of Luke, no sign of doubt on their faces.
âWeâll find a way without you. Letâs see If you find one without us.â Reggie declared with a little smirk. Bobby grabs his stuff and gets into his truck without looking back, completely furious.
"Some things Bobby was angry about are true and you have to improve them. You are not a solo artist, you are part of a band." Alex points to Luke as soon as the truck is out of sight, but before he can respond the blonde intercepts the girl at the door.
âY/N?â The three of them turn to see her, Reggie smiles at her while Luke looks pissed off.
âHey guys, I came to talk to Luke.â Luke frowns in surprise while the other two gape for a few seconds.
"Really?â Y/N turns with a murderous face towards her friend, who puts his hands in his pockets and begins to walk. â...Okay. Meanwhile Reg and I are going to figure out how to get the drums in Luke's car."
"If you come for an autograph please be quick, I don't feel like socializing." The guitarist declares to the wind, not wanting to pay attention to the stranger who approaches him in the middle of the alley, no matter how cute she looks.
âIâm not a fan.â She confesses in a firm voice, trying to measure the situation.
"Oh, then I'll go. See you later beautiful." He's about to leave when her voice stops him.
âPatterson, come back here!â There's something about her tone that makes Luke suddenly interested. He turns to see her carefully, her chin is up, her shoulders back. Her lips are press together and her eyes look determined and he can't help but admit that the confidence she projects is really doing something to him.
â2 minutes, firecracker.â
âIâm Y/N Y/L.â Faced with no comment from the guitarist, she decides to continue. âI need a male lead singer for my group and I think you might be the perfect fit, after I'm done with you, of course."
Heâs unable to believe what he hears. âA band? I think you know pretty well I'm already in one.â
âItâs not a band, itâs a group. THE group If I can say so myself. Spectacular!â She affirms with the first smile he sees her that night, and he can't believe it is possible that she can look even more beautiful.
"Don't you think you're exaggerating a bit with the spectacular thing? At least tell me the name or what kind of band is." She rolls her eyes and he chuckles in response, thinking it was adorable and hot at the same time.
âI already told you, Spectacular! Itâs a show choir.â
âIs this a joke? Did Bobby sent you?â
âNo and no. I know itâs not really your style, but Iâm telling you I can make it work. I heard a bit of the conversation you had with the band, the prize of Nationals is 10,000 dollars. I'm willing to give you half for the demo, if we win, obviously. And I can assure you we will if you accept and do absolutely everything I say.â
âFirecracker, are you trying to tell me that all I have to do to raise the money is put on some stupid cowboy or tiger-print outfit and humiliate myself in front of an entire audience with my best jazz hands? Wow, sounds like a dream!â Maybe he got a bit too sarcastic, but meh, as pretty as she is, she's still a stranger.
âMy name is Y/N, and I'm not appreciating your tone of voice.â By this moment the girl seems tired of the musician, who feels the frustration in her and tries to be more gentle.
âI- Iâm sorry. Thanks for the offer, but I don't feel as desperate yet as to end my reputation in that way. I hope you find what you are looking for, but thatâs just not me. I'm just a guitarist.â She nods, entwining her arms against her chest. He admires her for a few more seconds and turns to his car, where his friends are already waiting for him to help with the drums.
Before getting behind the wheel he turns to her one last time, but she is nowhere to be seen.
Fights between Luke and Bobby weren't new to the band. The big-headed attitude of both collided practically all the time and things had been getting worse in recent months with the more overconfident attitude of the guitarist, but they never imagined that they would end up in this situation.
The days go by and the boys are running out of time. They have to deliver the demo to the Orpheum offices in two months so that they can be taken into account for the great concert they will hold at the end of the year presenting the best new talents in the city. All they've heard from Bobby is that he's trying to build his own band but without much success. Still, he doesnât fold his hands and continues to try on his own.
The three remaining members of Sunset Curve are in Alex's room lying on the floor with their instruments around trying to think of solutions, when Y/N's voice coming from outside refreshes the blonde's memory. âWhat did Y/N want to talk to you the other day?â
âWho?â Luke narrows his eyes in confusion.
âY/N? The captain of the schoolâs show choir? She went to talk to you after Bobby left the band. Small, fire in her eyes, a lot of attitude.â
âOH, Firecracker! So that group is our school's choir? that's even worse. She tried to recruit me, even offered me the money for the demo if we win the competition in which they will participate.â
âWhat? She wants you in Spectacular? What did you said?â Alex heard that his friend's ex-boyfriend broke up with her and joined last year's national champions, but he never imagined that she would try to replace him with someone like Luke. Luke is distracted by a melody and doesnât answer his friend's question.
"Why does your mom always leave her music on when she leaves to work?" The music is definitely not his style, they are always usually pop songs or even songs from musicals, but the singer's voice is one of the most beautiful he has ever heard so it never bothers him.
âItâs not her music, is Y/N.â Alex responds, wondering what the young woman is up to since she is never usually home at this hour.
âWho?â Alex's eyes widen, not able to believe his friend.
âReally? I already told you!â The guitarist tilts his head and shrugs. âFirecracker?â
âWhat does firecracker have to do with this?â Alex opens his balcony curtains and the silhouette of a young woman singing and dancing through her transparent pink ones comes to their visions.
âSheâs so good bro, I thought it was a record too.â Reggie looks at her with a big smile as Alex rolls his eyes at Luke.
As soon as he sees her, the musician is in a trance, admiring the grace and energy with which she moves, wanting with all his might to remove the pink curtain that does not allow him to see her properly.
The song ends and a well-known melody begins to play with prominent bass and drums. âGuys, shut up! Iâm trying to hear her sing.â
âItâs not us, man.â Reggie answers almost screaming with how loud the girlâs music is.
âWhat do you-â Luke turns around and sees his friends with their hands raised, the cables finally connecting in his brain. "She is listening our song?"
"Not just listening, she's also destroying your career, her vocals are amazing." The black-haired boy adds, smirking and running to connect his bass.
Luke excitedly opens the balcony window and sings the pre-chorus as loud as he can to get the singer's attention. âCall me in the morning to apologize, every little lie gives me butterflies.â She immediately turns around and smiles at the guitarist's cocky smile. She opens the curtain and the window and her sunset curve t-shirt is the first thing the band notices.
âSomething in the way you're looking through my eyes, don't know if I'm gonna make it out alive.â Luke sings seductively towards her, each word fully dedicated to the woman in front of him.
Reggie accompanies them with his bass while Alex looks at his friends incredulously, an "Are you fucking kidding me." Comes out of the blonde almost like a whisper when he identifies the shirt that the girl wears as his.
Both sing the chorus together and the chemistry is unquestionable. Alex had never thought of this two together because at first glance they seem completely different, but thinking about it a little more deeply they couldn't be more similar. They are both passionate, headstrong, live for the stage, and are ridiculously talented and confident.
âFight so dirty, but you love so sweet. Talk so pretty, but your heart got teeth. Late night devil, put your hands on me. And never, never, never ever let go.â
The performance between the duo is playful, driving, sexy and intense and Alex and Reggie can't help but feel like they're interrupting a private moment. As soon as the song ends, the girl moves closer to the window, blows them a kiss and closes it.
"Where did that woman come from?" Luke whispers as he tries to catch his breath. Nobody had enchanted him so much just by singing, well, nobody had enchanted him, period. But sheâs definitely something.
âShe has been my neighbor since we were 6 years old, we used to be best friends but we both drifted apart when we entered high school. Sheâs amazing, the best performer in the city.â Alex informs him and then Reggie adds his own piece of valuable information. âSheâs my lab partner. Fun, smart, beautiful, the whole deal. A true gem.â
âAnswering your question, I said no to her offer. But I guess the group of someone this rad can't be that bad. And we really need the money." The drummer purses his lips and nods. His friend definitely took the hook.
"Honestly, I always wanted to audition, I guess the three of us could try in, to support you obviously."
âOf course man, she sounded desperate when she asked, and if the shirt and song is any indication she is definitely a huge Sunset Curve fan. She tried to fool me by saying she wasn't a groupie, as if that was possible after seeing us perform.â
His friends leave the house and Alex plays on the drums the secret signal he had with the girl when they were younger, a minute later the girl appears in her window with an amusing smile, dressed in her classic blue pajamas.
âReally?â The drummer chuckled and his friendâs smile grows even bigger, a little laugh leaving her lips. âThe shirt was a nice touch. A little much, but that idiot must have fallen for it completely. I want it back by the way.â
âYou can see right through me. You know the invitation is open, right? I would love nothing more than to have you there.â He has known her his whole life, and realized early on that she was just trying to get his friend's attention to reconsider her offer by raising his ego, and he honestly doesn't mind. It's about time Luke met someone of his caliber. Perhaps her influence could do him good.
âI- thank you. I guess weâll see. See you tomorrow.â She blows him a kiss and closes the window. Tomorrow sure is going to be an interesting day, Sunset Curve joins Spectacular.
Having to face Spectacular! And telling them they still don't have a male lead singer who can compete against Damian was not easy. Her options are running out and she honestly doesn't know what to do to save them.
Damian on stage is the best, it pains her to admit that she has never seen anyone like him. At first she thought she could continue without him, but itâs becoming increasingly obvious that he is just impossible to replace.
Everyone continues to practice the routine, clearly discouraged after her bad news and it honestly breaks her heart. She knows how much the group means to everyone for different and personal reasons and she can't let them lose this. So whatever she has to do, sheâll do it so they can have the leader they deserve.
âI thought the children in the choir would have more energy, this is just sad, firecracker.â She hides her wide smile before turning to the owner of the voice, who is entering the auditorium with his best friends. Money really talks, otherwise she can't explain what would make him appear here.
âDude, can you please play nice? This is important!â Reggie looks flustered and scolds Luke probably louder than he planned. The guitarist just ignores him and winks shamelessly at her. Seems her little plan from yesterday was successful, now she just has to play the situation in her favor.
âMercer, Peters... Patterson. Can we help you with something?â The performer shows a perfect poker face, Spectacular continues to practice but they can't help but turn their attention to the rock band.
âI came to accept your proposal, but only If we can include Reggie and Alex in the deal. I guess as long as Iâm in whatever I ask shouldn't be a problem." He crosses his arms and gives her a confident smile.
âI could actually do with a few more members, specially as talented as Reg and Alex. As for you, you've already turned down my offer Lucas, but if for some reason you don't graduate this year, make sure you audition the next one. Now, letâs start boys." Y/N moves within inches of Luke to gently close his open mouth with her index finger, and gives him a small wink before turning and taking the other two musicians each on each arm and pulling them closer to where the group is still practicing.
âY/N, you canât be serious.â The skilled singer continues to ignore him as she explains to her new members something Luke can't quite hear.
The musician frustrates and walks until he is directly in front of her. âY/Nâ He groans.
âI'm not firecracker anymore? That is just sad.â Luke looks upset, but she's determined to not let him have what he wants after what he said at the club, so if he wants the money that bad he's going to have to prove it.
âIâm going to explain you something quickly so you can go and stop wasting my time. Iâve seen your band play, I know how good these two are at singing, which means I don't need you anymore, nor do I have to put up with your rockstar wannabee attitude. I need someone that I can connect with and have the chemistry that leaves everyone forgetting how to breathe, and after yesterday, I just don't think that's you.â Right now she is grateful to be such a good actress because yesterday's act melted her legs, even though they were separated by the balconies. This man is unreal, totally unfair.
"I do, I wouldn't be surprised if they kissed at any moment." The bassist whispers as Alex looks at him with an incredulous face, he just slowly shakes his head from side to side and continues to see the leader of their band and their new leader in a starting contest, is kind of an amusing sight since Luke is definitely not used to having to face someone like him.
âItâs like you said, you are just a guitarist. Thinking you could handle something like this was ridiculous of me. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a group to direct."
Y/N hopes she hasn't pushed the rockstar too much, but remains firm in her tactics and turns to the others to continue with the rehearsal. She signals them to put the most similar song to the Sunset Curve sound that she can remember at the moment to make Alex and Reggie feel more calm and to see if she finishes catching Lukeâs interest, who still doesnât move from where he is with his eyes fixed on her, which she takes as as a good sign.
The moment the song start, both sunset curve members smile, and Luke's voice is heard from behind. âSo you're the girl, I heard the rumor.â He sounds powerful and captivating and immediately sets everyone's eyes on him. She doesnât give him the luxury of turning to see him, but he is not going to give up and in a quick and agile movement he turns her by the hand.
âWhy don't you break my heart, make it hurt so bad. Come on give it your best, nothing less, I insist, I want it just like that.â The girl should have thought more about her choice before asking for a song like this. Every word that comes out of the musician's mouth is addressed directly to her with an intensity in his eyes and movements that should be illegal.
She tries to get out of his way but he makes it pretty clear that he's not singing to prove himself to the group, he's doing it to prove something to her. Specifically, to prove her wrong.
âStare me down, intimidate me. Oh baby please you'll never break me.â He comes dangerously close to her, basically inches apart, his eyes fixed on her lips and smiling flirtatiously as he sings, his eyes glinting mischievously.
She enters the song so as not to make him feel like sheâs defeated and starts dancing with him to the rhythm, their movements matching effortlessly as they move across the stage.
She pulls herself back as far as she can, but Luke surprises everyone by doing a body roll on the floor, his arms looking more gorgeous than ever in that sleeveless shirt as they take the full weight of his body without any problem, his eyes never losing contact with hers. All the girls start to do small screams while Y/N's cheeks turn red at her thoughts. He slides on his knees towards her and gets up as he puts his foot on her to make her lose balance and catch her right at the end of the song.
âWhy donât you break my heart.â They've been in a trance since the song started and it's like it's just the two of them in the auditorium. Their lips are almost touching, neither willing to give up eye contact or move from their current position, until the applause and shouts of excitement bring them back to reality.
âI have chemistry with everybody that I sing with, firecracker.â He whispers to her lips before shifting the girl's full weight to his right arm to raise his left one to her face and carefully close her mouth with his finger, winking with a cocky smile before lifting her up.
Immediately everyone begins to advocate for him with all kinds of arguments that ranged from how sensual he was to how much of a presence he had on stage. Her best friendâs comment is the one that catches his attention the most. "You have even more chemistry with him than Damian, I didn't think it was possible." That definitely sounds interesting.
Y/N pretends to listen to her teammates before saying Luke can enter the group. The truth is that she knew from the first moment she saw him perform with Sunset Curve that he was a star, but this facet without the guitar and irradiating passion from his pores was something that left her speechless.
Still, she knew all the work that would go into preparing the band and it really was exhausting. For them to understand that they couldn't just sing like they do at the club, that there are rules to follow, dance steps they have to learn, facial expressions they have to master, notes they have to hit perfectly, wasnât easy but they succeeded.
Along the way, she regained her bond with Alexander, her friendship with Reggie grew stronger, and each day she felt closer to Luke. She has been practicing a duet with him for weeks now, and the chemistry that they have set to burn the stage more than once. It was hard for her to ignore how the guitarist's hands feel on her thighs as he lifts her or the way he wraps himself around her, breathing softly down her neck or brushing his lips teasingly over her cheekbone. Both are very physical to show affection so small contacts such as hugs or caresses, as well as small kisses on the cheek or hand were very recurrent. They had also gone out multiple times alone and with their friends, from the cinema, the park, to see them play, to small parties at home, to midnight talks.
Reggie was the one who had her alone the most because they were lab partners, but no matter how hard the bassist tried to get information from the girl, he never succeeded. The truth is that not even she knows what is happening with the guitarist, she is for the first time in her life letting herself be carried away and enjoying the moment, and sheâs loving it.
Luke and Alex are in detention after the brown haired boy made a mess in the classroom by putting together a little concert with the help of the blonde, and as they die of boredom, his mind canât help to go to her for the 14th time of the day. "How did she end up in the show choir?"
Alex is blank for a few seconds but analyzes the question and realizes who they are talking about. âSpectacular used to be the most important show choir in the country, led by her mother, may she rest in peace. Y/N always wanted to be a part of it and when she lost her, it became a goal. She suffered a lot to get to the perfect star we see today, especially because her father is rarely there since he works outside the country. She has practically had to face alone auditions, injuries, she had to learn to sew, comb her hair and put on makeup for the show, sing for hours her solos with no one to encourage her, without mention that the current director could not care less about the group and practically leaves all the work to her. Thatâs why sheâs so be fearless, she kind of has to."
âI didnât know.â The sight of Y/N as happy as ever with his mother when he took her home for lunch the week before appears in his memory. She looked radiant as she ate his mother's famous stew and listened to stories of little Luke as he gently stroked her thigh while songwriting with his other hand. When was the last time she got to experience something as homelike as that? Luke probably doesnât want to know.
Alex's sad voice brings him back to the conversation.âI was supposed to be there, you know? At first I was. We were going to audition for Spectacular together, but that summer I met you and Sunset Curve was born, and I didnât have the time anymore so I abandoned her. I knew how important it was for her to have me there, and I didn't even go to her audition. And do you know how many times she has reproached me? Not even one.â
Luke knows that Alex would never hurt her on purpose and that the situation was probably much more complicated than he expresses it, so he reassures him and lets him know that she loves him and is proud that he took his own path. As soon as the blonde calms down, he begins to tell him multiple stories about when he and the girl were kids, the songwriter takes out his journal and begins to add lyrics to the song he has been working on, more inspired than ever.
âYou are falling so deeply for her, man. Iâm happy for you both.â His friend comments to him while reading the verses written on the paper. He totally is.
âBowling, nice. I'm going to finish you off, Patterson.â
âAs sexy as your confidence sounds, I'm not going to let you win.â
âI'm pretty sure you've never gone bowling.â Alex adds with furrowed eyebrows.
âYour point is, Mercer?â She wrinkles her nose and sticks out her tongue. Reggie chuckles amused.
"How can you be so sure that you are going to win?"
âOh, my dear cute blonde. Iâm good at everything.â She makes a slight remark on everything with her eyes fixed on the guitarist, who chokes while blushing.
She smiles cheekily at him and confidently steps into the room, Sunset Curve behind as Alex and Reggie tease Luke for being completely whipped.
Happiness doesn't last long when the first thing they see inside is Damian Miller along with a couple of his new teammates. The moment their eyes meet, Y/N seems to melt, but not in the good way.
Her firm and perfect posture now all bent as she embraces herself with her arms and tries with the strength that has left to hold her gaze at the person who took everything from her without much more than an empty sorry.
When she feels the guitarist at her side again, she unconsciously stretches her hand to intertwine her fingers with him, who tilts his head to see their hands together and then to see her face.
She is not doing it to make Damian jealous, but to feel supported. And when Luke realizes it, he can't help not feeling angry at the boy in from of them. In the month that he has been with her, he has never seen her doubt, fear, or believe anything less than that she is unstoppable. And today for the first time ever he sees her intimidaded, and the fact that it's because of a jerk like this makes it even worse.
He rubbs her hand to make her feel less anxious and when she turns to meet his eyes, he brings his index finger to her chin and winks at her, hoping she gets the message. She seems to do it because she immediately smiles playfully and begins to look more relaxed.
The guitarist is aware that Damian was his firecracker's first boyfriend, and he also knows how much he betrayed her love and trust. No matter how strong the woman is, her reaction is completely normal and valid, and that she has the confidence to be vulnerable and let him be there for her means a lot to him.
âPrincess.â Damian whispers as he moves closer to her, his eyes fixed on Y/N and Luke's clasped hands.
âIâm not your princess, Y/L is just fine. Listen, Damian. I could pretend this is not uncomfortable and boring but, I don't want to. So yeah, excuse us.â
She pulls the hand that joins her to Luke to make him walk and Alex and Reggie follow behind them, looking at her ex boyfriend with little smiles of pride. Alex knows how much Damian turned off Y/Nâs spark and seeing her put him in his place makes him feel so proud.
"So someone is going to teach me bowling or what?"
âIâll do it baby, but another day. Today we came here with a different purpose.â Luke points to the large Rock the World machine located in a comfortable corner space.
âOf course, is always about music with you, eh Patterson?â She smirks, getting a little closer to him.
âPretty much, but I can tell that attracts you, Y/L.â He wrinkles his nose, his lips parting slightly.
âHell yeah it does.â he smirks, not at all expecting her to admit it so openly but he definitely should have seen it coming.
âGood thing Iâm into dominant firecrackers then.â
âCould you stop flirting for a second and start playing? I have plans to destroy Alex and your daily session of sexual tension is not going to ruin it.â
Both smile at Reggie while Y/N takes the games microphone and Luke the guitar. The song that Y/N chooses is Sheâs so gone by Naomi Scott, and it goes without saying that the boys have never played it in their lives but they love a challenge.
The mastery with which the girl interprets the song makes a good number of people come to see the round, including her ex-boyfriend and his new friends.
âHere I am, this is me, and I'm stronger than you ever thought I'd be. Are you shocked? Are you mad? That you're missing out on who I really am.â
The singer sings the verse directly towards Damian, as his friends start pointing out and teasing him. Reggie goes over to tell Luke he thought he would join her, but the guitarist only replies, "I want to see her shine."
She gets carried away with the music and draws Luke to her, jumping and twirling to the beat of the music. The guitarist hyping her up every single second og the song. At the end the night was incredible, the four of them spent it singing, dancing and even bowling, which Y/N ended up dominating from the second round.
Luke thought that there would be no better time than that night to show her what he had been working on, so after saying goodbye to her he went to Alexâs where he had left his journal.
Before he can say goodbye to the blond, screams are heard from the house next door. âI wasn't trying to embarrass you, Damian!â
âNo? So what were you doing shaking your hips against the rock boy?â
âI don't have to explain anything to you, but I think it's pretty obvious why I wanted to be against that body, have you seen it?â She says it playfully with her eyes fixed on the guitarist, who is walking with the blonde to her door, her eyes glinting wickedly in the dark. He chuckles, knowing it's the girl's way of reassure him and she smiles as she sees his expressions relax.
âEverything alright, firecracker?â Luke does not stand in front of her like a brave prince, he stops a meter from both of them and asks before intervening, and that makes her heart melt. Because he wants to hear her first, he trusts that she can take care of it and has the confidence to tell him if she needs help, which is also completely valid. And it's something she has to work on, know that there are also times when it's okay to trust someone. That you don't always have to carry the weight alone.
âGo away, punk. My girl and I are in the middle of something.â The three of them start laughing at the ex-boyfriend's intimidation attempt, who seems to get angrier with every laugh that comes out of their mouths.
âIâm fine baby, but you guys could show him the way out? Iâm tired of his bullshit.â She asks the boy with a cute smile, and he would disintegrate over the nickname if her horrible ex-boyfriend and her best friend weren't there.
"Don't touch me, Iâll go. Right now the numbers are not working in my favor so we will fix this where it really matters, on stage. Let's see if this attempt at a singer can save you from total humiliation, because let's be honest Y/N, you are nothing without me."
The faces of both members of Sunset Curve begin to tense, Luke's fists completely white from how much he's clenching them. For her part, the singer, who is already used to that type of comments from her ex-boyfriend, only tells him "yes, yes, you're right. It was a pleasure Dami, never come back." while pushing him to the other side to make him go away.
The nickname comes off her tongue in the most natural way in the world, she doesn't even seem to notice it and Luke feels some annoyance hearing it. As if someone had hit him in the stomach. But immediately the discomfort goes away when the girl turns to them again with a big smile and runs to hug them excitedly.
âThanks for coming to check me out, guys. Things can sometimes get out of control with him.â
"We will always be there for you when you need us, okay? I actually went into Alex's house to get something I wanted to show you but it's late, Iâll come back tomorrow." The blonde turns from his friend to the other, a tired smile appears on his lips as he passes Luke his journal to place his arm on his childhood friend and lean on her.
"No, don't go please. Damian was pretty mad and... I don't want to be alone." She can be very dramatic at times but the fear in her voice sounds sincere, and remembering the scream that brought them outside in the first place Alex imagines how scared she really was before seeing them show up and his heart clenches at the thought.
âO- Okay, sure.â He sounds nervous but the excitement is evident in the way his left leg keeps moving, just like when he's on stage.
âI do have to go in, you already know mom. Will you be alright with just Luke?â He already knows the answer from the girl's radiant gaze but it doesn't hurt to confirm. She hugs him tightly with her arms around his neck and whispers a "Yes, I love you but go away already." which makes the drummer laugh out loud while high-fiving his other friend goodbye.
The third wheel enters his house and finally they are alone. She smiles and takes him by the hand to enter the house. Luke takes a moment to admire it, everything is in place but there are several instruments throughout the living room. A keyboard on the couch, a guitar next to the TV, even a tambourine on the table.
"May l?" He walks over to the guitar and turns to see the girl nodding and pointing up the stairs for him to follow. Her room is quite similar to her style, white is the predominant color but there are many details in pink and gold, as well as multiple yellow lights giving a romantic tone to the room at midnight.
âDo you want to show me now?â she asks eagearly, with joined hands, closed eyes and pursed lips.
âY- yeah... of course.â He sits on the rug and puts the guitar aside, then puts his notebook between his legs and when he finds the sheet he is looking for, he carefully tears it off. The girl looks at him adoringly, the happiness of having him with her making her heart beat louder in her chest. She sits across from him making sure to brush his legs and waits for him to speak.
âHere.â He looks nervous, his cheeks totally flushed as he avoids eye contact for the first time since they met.
Y/N takes the sheet in his hands and a huge warm smile appears on her face when he sees the guitarist's terrible lyrics. BRIGHT written and highlighted several times in the title.
âItâs for you.â Luke whispers while bringing his face closer to hers, making her shiver.
âYou wrote me a song?â She doesn't know what to say. Since her mom, no one had done anything so beautiful, considerate, and selfless for her. Something so vulnerable and full of love.
âDonât be mad, but Alex told me a little about how you ended up in show choir, your friendship with him, your mom.â He turns to see her looking for her reaction, she just nods to tell him itâs okay to continue. âA sweet story about a little girl with the voice of an angel who loved to sing love songs. And you know what was in my head all that night? That even though I've never written one, I would write millions of love songs for you.â
Some tears fall from the girl's face, she carefully places the lyrics on the guitar and throws herself on the guitarist, who falls in surprise against the carpet, making sure to grab her by the waist so that she falls safely on his chest. She rests her arms on either side of his head and brings her lips against Luke's, brushing them gently.
Luke doesn't move a muscle, not wanting to do something to make her uncomfortable, when he suddenly hears her talk. âAnd what about teeth? I mean is not the sweetest love story ever told but-â
The boy chuckles, Y/N's curious eyes a few inches away. âAlex wrote that one after his first breakup, Reggie and I did the melody.â
âGood. Guess weâll have to start making some experiences to help you write all that songs.â At that moment she finally pushes her lips against his, both in a moment of euphoria at the taste of each other. She presses her body against him and he bites lightly with his teeth on her lower lip to shove his tongue against her mouth in response. Her little hands pulling his hair hard as his hands go down her butt. Both of them enjoying what they had been dreaming of for so long.
When the two finally separate they fall in a comfortable silence, she starts to admire his facial features, delicately running her fingers through his nose, his mouth, his cheekbones, until he interrumpts her. âI knew you want me from the beginning, I could see the lust in your eyes. Everything about the choir was a complex plan to get me under you.â Luke affirms with his best poker face, and sees clearly how her eyes fill with light while a pure laugh escapes from her now swollen lips.
âAnd as always, I achieved the goal. The hot local rockstar is sleeping on my bed tonight.â No matter how hard he tries, he can never catch her off guard and he always ends up being the one blushing. She kisses him softly before getting up and taking the song lyrics back. âLuke, do you mind if I sing a bit of the song?â
âOf course not, it's yours. I will accompany you with the guitar, from the pre-choir?â
She nods and begins to sing the words he wrote for her. âLife is a risk but I will take it, close my eyes and jump. Together I think that we can make it, come on, let's run.â
She is reading the choir as she sings and the urge to cry reappears. He's basically telling her that she no longer has to go on living life alone, that she can lean on him, she can trust him to fight by her side. That it can be us instead of I.
âAnd rise through the night, you and I, we will fight to shine together. Bright forever.â
As soon as they finish singing Luke puts the guitar aside and goes over to wipe the tears from the girl's face. âI know that at first glance it doesn't seem like a love song, but..."
âBut it is. Itâs perfect, thank you Luke.â She didn't know that someone other than her could make her feel so special, but he proved her wrong, again.
The night before was like a dream. Y/N sleeping with his shirt while he wrapped her completely in his arms, singing softly in her ear and leaving little kisses on her neck every few verses until she fell asleep. At this point there is no way to deny how completely in love he is with her.
âMan, we need to talk.â His blonde friend wakes him up from his daydream and starts pulling him down the hall to an empty table in the cafeteria, where Reggie is already waiting for them.
They both sit down and Alex takes a deep breath as he plays with his fingers, trying to form coherent sentences with the words in his head. âBobby called last night.â Luke's gaze instantly shifted to disgust, while Reggie looks quite shocked.
âSo? What did he want?â Luke whispers, trying to sound disinterested.
âHe sent some of our videos to an important person at Destiny Management and they are interested in the band. He said that if we comply with certain requests he will give the money for us to record the demo this Friday so that itâs ready for the appointment."
âAnd I guess you told him we don't need him or his money. What did he answer you? He cried?" the guitarist asks with an amused face, but his friends just look at each other.
âDon't you think we should think more about it? What happens if we don't win nationals? Weâll have lost something as sure as Bobby's deal for nothing."
âSheâs my friend and I love her but I have to agree, Luke. As difficult as it is, our priority has to be Sunset Curve, not Spectacular"
âBut-â
âThey are right, Luke.â All three look at the girl, as pale as If they had seen a ghost. âSpectacular is my dream, And I know I'd do anything for it. It would be unfair of me to get angry because youâre fighting for yours. Don't hesitate, if anyone can find a way out of this it's me.â
âBut, the duet...â
âIâll just have to be the melody and the words. Iâll be fine, and honestly I'm so proud of you guys, I know you will be rock legends one day.â All three feel guilty but don't know what to say or do to make it right. She goes over to hug the drummer and the bassist who take her in their arms with all their strength, a âIâm so sorryâ from the blonde accompanied by an âI knowâ from the girl can be heard. Then she stands in front of the guitarist and kisses his lips intensely, but breaking away painfully fast. The guys leave lovers alone for a moment of privacy.
âI believe in you, baby. You are destined to be a star, forget everything else, even me. Take the moment and knock them off their feet.â She kisses him lightly on the lips and walks a few steps back. âThis month was the happiest of my life in a long time, thank you. Guess Iâll see you guys around.â
âWhy do you sound like you are saying goodbye? And a horrible one? I thought you were good at everything.â Luke walks over to her again and places his hands on her cheeks, rubbing them gently. His voice is shaky and his eyes are glassy, she snorts at his sudden taunt, a little smile covered with the tears.
âOnce everyone gets back to their own business, do you think you'll still have time for me? Alex is my damn neighbor, and we couldn't keep in touch.â And Luke gets it. She is used to being alone, to people not being permanent in her life. Neither her parents, nor her best friend, nor her boyfriend, nor anyone else has stayed. So this time to protect herself she decided that he too was going to leave, that it would be foolish to think that he of all possible people would stay.
âIâm not letting you go baby, you're the only one I would let to boss me around.â The girl laughs when she remembers the millions of times she had to correct him and how he always ended up making her blush in some way, especially when they danced. She can't remember telling him but dancing with him has been the most special thing she has ever experienced. She danced with Damian for years and it never felt like the first time Luke put her long, strong hands on her waist and pulled her close to him. She can only hope to feel that way again one day.
âYou are my one and only, firecracker. Weâll find a way, neither of us is a quitter.â
They say that actions are worth a thousand words, and Luke had definitely missed his first chance to show Y/N that he was serious about them by not getting in time to wish her good luck before she left with the group to the city of the competition, a few hours from there. He couldn't help but feel more miserable when he returned to the studio and found a small yellow sheet in his journal.
âYou got this, rockstar. I have so much faith in you, so go make me proud. And I donât want you feeling guilty, okay? I always want to see you shine, baby, no matter what. Your firecracker, Y/N.â Luke laughs softly, dazzled by her attempt to be sweet. If she trusts him so much, why doesn't he return the favor? She assured him they could win and when she says something, she follows through.
Why ruin his life with all of Bobby's ridiculous demands while ditching his girl in the process when he can go sing with her and do band things their way, without selling their soul to the devil. He sits on the couch thinking about what to say to the boys when they both rush in and pick him up, one from his feet and the other from his arms.
âWhat the hell are you two planning this time?â Luke sounds annoyed but does nothing to stop them from moving him, they throw him into the back of the car and he hits his head, getting him to kick them before they close the door.
"I'm not going to let her down again, I canât."
"Yeah, and surely we can win, the number is spectacular... do you understand what I did there?â
Alex rolls his eyes and Luke smiles. They drive at full speed to Lukeâs for him to take all his things and when he returns to the car, stands thoughtfully by the window.
âWhat are you doing?!â Alex is not having it, looks like a vein is going to burst from stress any second now.
âDo you think weâll make it?â Questioned the guitarist, clearly nervous.
âIf you stop asking stupid as fuck questions and get in the car, maybe.â Luke pouts but listens and finishes loading everything in the trunk.
The road is full of music to try to calm all the nerves, there was also plenty of time to rehearse the number over and over again, Luke analyzing in his mind every move he had to make, from time to time his bossy girl correcting him in his head. The only difficult thing was probably changing into the costumes, especially for Alex.
They arrive directly to register and the band turns pale when they hear the powerful and breathtaking voice of the singer who is playing her solo right now, a heavenly version of 'Never enoughâ. By the time they are ready to go, the main number has already started, the imposing woman in the very center of the stage with one of the boys of the group, who although does not have the voice of the guitarist, is making a good effort. Damian is on the other side, staring at her with a superiority smirk and Luke can't help but want to punch him.
âI never realized how anyone could make everything so right, I was so sad, you brought me back.â Alex quickly indicates to him how to enter the stage from the back, and Luke prepares to jump in time for the chorus, taking care of not being seen as he climbs the platform. The song is an old pop-rock song from the 80s, specifically chosen to make the guitarist's voice shine. He and his firecracker sat listening to music for hours until they finally found it, the girl's eyes shining with excitement as she imagined all she could do with the potential of the melody.
âYou give me something to believe in, after all that we've been through.â He appears on the platform just in time, the lights and smoke coming out right in his grand entrance. Y/N turns immediately upon hearing her voice and he dances his way towards her.
âThe love you give, it all comes back to you. You give me something to believe in, you can see the real me. And here with you is where I'm meant to be.â both singing together the remainder of the chorus and dancing to the beat. The biggest smile he has seen in his girl since he met her on her beautiful face. With that he feels satisfied with his decision, whatever happens, win or lose, it was worth it.
âAnd here we are together side by side, and nothing seems impossible tonight.â the duet between them is electrifying as always, he puts his hands on her thighs and lifts her with ease, both of them moving and enjoying themselves as if they were the only ones in the place. The dance ends as the first time they danced in the auditorium when he showed her that he was the right option, he holds her with one arm, their lips inches from touching but holding the magnetism back for a few more seconds until finally leave the stage.
As soon as they are backstage Y/N throws herself at Luke, wrapping her legs around his hips and devouring his lips with hers. âSomeone missed me.â Luke whispers catching his breath.
"I can't believe you guys did this for me." Expressed the girl as she turns to see her other two friends, still wrapped around Luke who has her tightly held with his huge arms around her butt.
âWe trust you as much as you trust us. We know that you will win, you worked like nobody for this moment.â Affirmed the blonde, giving her a small kiss on the forehead.
âI feel like I won already.â And she did. She won the trophy, the money for the demo, friends, and a ridiculously gorgeous rockstar who drove her crazy in more ways than one. All this years working hard were finally worth it... and Damian throwing a tantrum in the middle of the stage felt good too, not gonna lie.
âWhen are you going to ask me to be your boyfriend? As much as I love you more than anything, a man has to have some pride, you know? We've been together for like 5 months and I'm getting desperate.â They are both lying together on the girl's bed, their legs intertwined as he makes little circles with his fingers on his girl's stomach.
She raises her head resting her hand on his bare chest, her thoughts impossible to read. What are you talking about? I'm waiting for you to ask me!â He chuckles, prepared to tease her. âBu-âshe interrumpts him, pushing the hand that is resting on him to sit down. âBa-â
âWait a second, Lucas!â He bites his lip, he never liked being called by his name but for some reason it sounds incredibly sensual when she says it. âYeah, baby?â
âD- did you say you love me?â
âI did, and I do. Everybody knows you've got me trapped in your claws.â He jokes to make her laugh, and he succeeds.
âI love you too, so much.â
âI know baby.â He winks teasingly at her. âReturning to the topic, you are the most bossy and confident person I have ever met, and you want to tell me that you were waiting for me to take the first step? Doesnât sound like my firecracker. You literally pretended to be a sunset curve super fan to get my attention.â
"I totally did, I was awesome, first thing next day you were at the auditorium.â She says proud while Luke rolls his eyes with a smile. âBut if it makes you feel better, I'm 100% a fan now, and...You are completely right, for once.â
She takes a deep breath, intertwining her fingers with his. âLucas Patterson, I want you, if we're being honest, probably from the first time I saw you at that Sunset Curve gig we met at. You are annoying, cocky, passionate, and I love you with all my heart. Be my boyfriend... please.â
âThere it is, thatâs my girlfriend.â His eyes full of lust after hearing that she wanted him from the first night, he draws her closer to him to push his lips against hers, his girlfriend's tongue quickly dancing with his.
"Oh my god, we already talked about this, close the damn window, I don't want to hear it!â The blonde cries from his balcony, the couple can't help but laugh before joining their lips again.
Thank you for reading âš

Chapter 9 Chapter 11
Loud announcement after loud announcement blasted from the speakers as the police spoke. Repeating the same few sentences over and over again. His stomach turned as anxiety took hold of him. Izuku Midoriya stood nearly a block away from the scene as he watched. He and Bakugou were given orders to sit on the perimeter and wait in case they were needed. Having experienced The League before, their assistance was helpful. But everyone was hoping it wouldn't be needed. For now, everyone's top priority was you. Bakugou huffed in frustration, folding his arms across his chest as he watched.
"I don't get it. We should just round them up while we still can. If we don't act fast, they'll slip out of our hands again." He growled.
"Arrest isn't our top priority right now. The hostage's safety is. We can't risk any harm coming to her. You know that." Midoriya answered. The blonde scoffed and spoke again after a long pause.
"I still can't believe it."
"Believe what?"
"That he has a daughter. You'd think he would have mentioned something like that by now. After all these years. Especially one with such a strong quirk."
"Yeah...I don't have kids of my own so, I don't know much about that but...It's odd isn't it? That he never mentioned her. Not even to us." Bakugou thought for a moment.
"Maybe it was the mom. Maybe she kept it that way. We don't know much about her."
"No...that doesn't sit right. Her mom seems intense, sure. But that's his daughter. I don't know about you, but if I had a kid like her, I wouldn't be able to stop talking about her. So, it doesn't make sense why someone like him..."
"They were young, right? About our age?"
"That's right."
"Think about it. If you and Ururaka got pregnant right now, what do you think would happen?"
"Thats different, she's a hero too-"
"No. Really. Think about it. If she told you tomorrow you were gonna have a kid, how would you feel?" Midorya thought for a moment.
"Scared, I guess."
"Would you slow down your hero work? After everything you've done, all the work you've put into this. Would you risk it all to be a proper father? And what about her? Would Ururaka be okay putting her life on hold for that kid? I doubt it."
"I see what you're saying. But that still doesn't explain why we're just finding out about her now."
"I'm sure he was just trying to protect her from shit like this happening. It's clear he still cares for her. It was probably his was of keeping her safe. As messed up as that is."
"I studied All Might my entire life. Became his successor and student. And still...I feel like I never really knew him until now."
"Mh."
"You're still my most valuable player. You're staying right here." Shigaraki's voice purred as his grip tightened around your arm. Pulling you closer to him. You felt your blood quickly rush up to your cheeks. The hot feeling coursing through your veins. You heard the loud squeak of a chair shifting across the floor. Your quirk unwittingly being activated. He ignored the sound, his deep red eyes glaring into yours as his scarred brow bone curved over them in a tight scowl. His eyes, so brilliant and full of passion. You were lost in them. Time always seemed to stop when he did this.
"Boss! We gotta get out of here! We can't fight them all!" Spinner shouted, tearing those eyes away from you. How long had he been starring at you? Was he just as lost as you? You were doubtful. If he was lost in anything, it was probably his rage. His grip on you loosened, slowly dropping your arm almost like he was reluctant to.
"The truck. Is the truck ready?"
"Yes, but I doubt we can get out of here without being caught."
"Of course not. That's why we'll need a distraction. Until then we need time. Toga, the phone, quick." She jumped at the command. Grabbing a smartphone of hers and quickly adjusting it to film. Shigaraki's hands quickly found your body again. But they weren't nearly as harsh as last time, just firm. Man handling you to appear threatening. One hand coming around your neck from behind to display his fingers, and the other around your arm. He pressed you against his body.
"Filming!" Toga shouted.
"You heroes should know better than to just barge into such a delicate situation. The conditions are simple. Make one wrong move, and the girl is dust. I'll even leave her in a pretty little urn for you, hehehe, All Might."
"Cut! Edit and send to the heroes right?"
"And social media, anything to get it on the news. Dabi, Twice, is there a way for you to contact our friends on the outside?"
"But boss! They have us tapped! They'll be prepare for our escape!" Twice shouted.
"They've planned for it already. We've lost the element of surprise. We need results."
"Shigaraki?" You croaked.
"What!?" He shouted in your ear. You winced, holding your free had up to tap at his wrist around your neck.
"Could you, loosen up a bit?" He swiftly pulled his hands away from you. Watching you gently cough and regain your breath.
"We're not, really going to kill her, are we?" Toga pulled her attention away from her phone and shuffled closer to you. Turning to be in-between you and Shigaraki, almost to protect you from being grabbed again.
"No. Not if we plan to get out of here." He and turned sat down on the couch, his hands coming up to rub against his sore neck. Toga patted your back.
"You alright there? You're burning up. You're not sick are you?"
"No...No Im fine."
"You sure?"
"I'm fine. Thank you, Toga." It made her smile to hear you say that.
"Don't worry. Tomura's smart. He'll get us out safe, you'll see." You smiled back at her.
"I'm sure. But somehow I doubt I'll see you again. So, if this is goodbye-"
"Don't say that!" Toga shouted. "We're gonna stick together. Remember? I promised you I wouldn't let anyone hurt you!" You starred at her with wide eyes as your heart raced in your chest. A loud flutter.
"But, Toga."
"But nothing, friends stick together, right?" You nodded. "Then that settles it! We're taking her with us, aren't we guys?" Confused faces looked up at the two of you. "Well?"
"Uh- Sure." Spinner shrugged.
"Hell No - Alright!" Twice shouted.
"Heh, alright." Dabi chuckled.
"Tomura?" Toga called the absent-minded man.
"Huh?"
"We're taking her with us, right? She's one of us now!" Toga reached for your hand and curled her fingers between yours. Shigaraki looked up at her, his eyes lost in thought. "Tomura!" She scolded him like a little sister. He blinked a few times, shaking his attention to you.
"Are you, Y/L/N? Are you one of us?" You froze for a moment. No. Of course not. You're not a villain. You're not like these people! You're a heroes' kid! You're not evil! You're a good person!
You opened your mouth to speak, an overwhelming cacophony of thoughts keeping you from answering. For the first time in your entire life, you had been cared for in a way you never had before. No longer reliant on a bottle of pills to function properly. No longer forced to be productive. No pressure to be anything special. You could grow here. You could be yourself here. The room buzzed with energy at the activation of your quirk. Your emotional state boiling to a head, you opened your mouth to answer but before you could speak-
The building began to shake underneath you. You were thrown to the floor, eyes darting everywhere in search for the cause. The sound of explosions blasted above you, while what sounded like a bulldozer echoed below.
"Damn it! They're coming from both ends!" Dabi announced, gaining his balance to perform a ready stance before his blue flames emerged.
"C'mon Shigaraki! What do we do!" Twice shouted as he clung onto the man's forearm. The rest of you inching closer and closer to each other.
The blasts above became louder and louder until it became evident it was right above. Your stomach turned as you came to the realization. Before the order left his lips you had reached for a table across the room and brought it up above your small group for protection.
"Y/L/N!" Just in time for it to deflect the shrapnel of drywall that burst from the explosion above. Suddenly the floor below gave way, sending the six of you falling through the open air. There were supposed to be several floor to the building, but thanks to the hero, Deku, flimsy walls of the already rotting building had been quickly demolished within seconds.
You watched yourself fall, your hand desperately reaching for anything to hold on to. Failing and plummeting down with the rest of them. You watched as the DynaMight emerged from the smoke above to watch you with a satisfied grin plastered over his face.
The cries of the others behind you filled your ears. Why wasn't this hero doing something? Why wasn't he jumping to catch you? To catch the others? Is going to let you fall to your deaths? You can't let him do that! Quick- Quick- your quirk- catch them!
After a few attempts at activation in your panic, you were able to catch the others in the air. Just before their bodies hit the concrete of the building basement. Dropping them down from a safe few feet. The fall was uncomfortable, but a relief to you and the others that you could work so quickly.
But your success was short-lived as the building trembled and quaked with another explosion. You looked up just in time to watch what was left of the old hide out to come crashing down around you. Leaving you trapped in the basement, in complete darkness.
"THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" A familiar shriek echoed in Bakugou and Midoriya's ear pieces. They both jolted at the painful intrusion. Your mother, having just stolen a police walky talky huffed on the other end.
"Our apologies ma'am but they're fine. I saw it with my own eyes. They're just trapped under debris. Everything is going according to plan." Midoriya reassured.
"Ac- ACCORDING TO PLAN!? You mean to tell me, young man, that you intended to trap my daughter in with her KIDNAPPERS, WHO THREATENED TO KILL HER!?" She spat, understandably.
"If they wanted her dead by now, she would be. Shigaraki doesn't play games unless it's necessary. Trust me." Bakugou barked.
"So now what? We just wait until this psychopath decays his way loose?"

SHANG-CHI (2021) Fan Revision
In my previous posts in @welcome-to-the-cafe I posted multiple rants about the movie itself. (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3). For such a great movie, there were still some flaws, which I will attempt to correct here.
Large fish first.
I hated the final CGI fest. Not the Ten Rings battle between Wenwu and Shang-chi, the one with ugly CGI monstrosity. "Dweller in the Darkness", for a name so mysterious, the result sure was a pretty generic bat-winged western dragon-shaped bastard. Really, as soon as it popped out of the cave, it stopped being scary; it stopped doing the one thing that made it more frightening than Wenwu, which was telepathically manipulate Wenwu using his dead wife's voice. That shit was creepy! Why stop it for the climax?? We need to involve the Ten Rings themselves in its creepiness. They should be empowered directly by the Dweller and dark feelings, and the Rings should partially transfer to Shang-Chi at his lowest, most-rage filled moment.
Plus, for all of the Chineseness of the rest of the movie, the Dweller in the Darkness looked incredibly Western. I can't think of one thing it references in Chinese mythology, which was strange since Morris does! It's a Hundun ïŒæ··æČïŒ, one of the Four Perils (ćć¶), why not use another one of them, like the Qiongqi (ç©·ć„ïŒ. Especially the Qiongqi, since it supposedly eats people, so we can keeping the soul-sucking mechanic.
The little bat-spawns are also poorly-designed, and not fun to watch the martial artist army fight. Martial arts are meant to fight other people, by the Heavens, not weird flying tentacle things. Why is Ta Lo's training anti-human instead of anti-monster? Because anti-human training looks cooler. And we can keep that, with a solution I'll explain after complaining about the Dragon.
The CGI Kaiju battle between the dragon and dweller was cinematic, but it eliminated the kung fu from the final fight, reducing both Shang-Chi and Xialing to boring dragon riders. The dragon wasn't really something that deserved to be a character. I get that Shang-Chi is supposed to have his 'awakening' moment, where he embodies the dragon his mother teaches him about at the beginning of the movie. But the dragon doesn't have to be "real", it should be more of a spirit that goes into him, or comes out of his heart and empowers his body. Either way, it should be more of an internal instead of external dragon. This better reflects the internal emotional conflict of Shang-Chi, his guilt over not saving his mother and then doing terrible things to get revenge; he has to let that go, accept her loss, and with that, he can let his inner dragon out. Just like...shit, just like in Kung Fu Panda 3 lmao.
youtube
So what are my solutions to the climax?
1) Make Dweller in Darkness possess Wenwu. Or suck his soul, and then take his shape. Maybe even take the shape of the mother as well at first!
2) Make the little soulsuckers transform into shadow martial-artists. They still can only be killed by dragon weapons.
3) Make the dragon a spirit that rises out of the water that goes into Shang-Chi and Xialing, enabling them to fight Wenwu/Dweller more evenly.
Here's my altered sequence of events.
The 5 humvees still arrive, the small skirmish between the Ten Rings and the villagers still happen (without the giant lions). Wenwu and Shang-Chi still duke it out, and Wenwu knocks him away. Wenwu makes the big leap to the sealed cave, and Xialing and the aunt notice. The aunt activates a magic thing that raises a giant bridge from the depths of the water and Xialing crosses over to fight her dad. Wenwu pounds the door a bit more, and the Dweller's minions shoot out in black mist, forming into humanoid shapes that begin fighting the villagers and Ten Rings.
Meanwhile, Shang-chi is having a flashbacks in the water of killing his mother's murderer, in the process, one of the Ten Rings that is knocked away during Xialing and Wenwu's fight finds its way into the water and revives Shang-Chi. He joins the fight just as Xialing is knocked aside, apparently over the cliff. Shang-Chi loses it, and fights his father more brutally, until 5 of the rings transfers to him. They whisper to him to make his father pay, and he knocks his father into the door, shattering it, and seemingly killing Wenwu. Shang-Chi is appalled at what he's done, and he collapses and drops his 5 rings. He hears his sister calling for help, and he rushes over to see her hanging off the edge of the cliff. He can't reach her, and he cries to her that he's sorry for everything. Xialing forgives him for abandoning her before, saying that him coming to Macau meant a lot, and that their mother would be proud of him. With effort, he pulls her up, while the 5 rings to his father who rises from the rubble. Shang-Chi said their mother wouldn't be proud after what he's done for revenge, but Xialing tells him that he needs to accept what has happened.
Wenwu looks triumphant at the open gateway, but a dark mist spills in front of him and take the rough shape of his wife. He is about embrace her, but she grabs him around the wrist and possesses him through the Rings. Dweller uses Wenwu's and Ying Li's voices to taunt Shang-chi and Xialing.
Shang-chi finally lets go of his guilt and stops "running away". The spirit of the dragon rises from the sea and goes into him and his sister, empowering them. They double-team the Dweller/Wenwu until he blows them back with "Enough!". The little soulsuckers return with their spoils, strengthening the Dweller, and now he has the advantage. He defeats both of them, holds Shang-chi down, trying to steal his soul. Xialing is trying to pull him away. Shang-chi looks his father in his eyes and tells him he forgives him and he is still a good man. This awakens Wenwu inside the Dweller, and in one dramatic moment, transfers the Ten Rings to his son. With this, Shang-chi knocks Wenwu/Dweller back, and Xialing restrains him with the ropedart. Shang-chi performs exorcism, deleting Dweller forever, but Wenwu is mortally wounded. He tells Shang-chi and Xialing that he loves them, and he will tell their mother how proud he is of them, then dies.
Rest of the movies is the same.
Oh, we do need to deal with the secondary characters.
Katy shouldn't be good at archery, but could save Guan Bo/Razorfist/Death Dealer in a key moment, maybe just by tacking. She could do more to counsel Shang-Chi and Xialing before their big moments.
Death Dealer was wasted. Unique, memorable design (if kinda half-assed), only to be ignominiously soulsucked first by CGI uglies. He is basically Shang-chi's primary martial arts tutor, so should know a variety of martial arts styles. To incorporate his opera mask (a full-faced one), and add even more mystery, he should be a bianlian (ćèž), a Chinese facechanger, and for each face he has a different kungfu style. This could be used to semi-humorous effect, with mocking faces and angry faces. And a Monkey King face when he's using a staff! We should not see the glint of his eyes. Before Xialing runs across the bridge to fight Wenwu, she should have a showdown with Death Dealer to show she did learn kung fu even without him. They fight to standstill, until the aunt steps in and they kick his ass together. I think he should live too, and have a team up with the aunt to delete soulsuckers.
youtube
Oh I know now, Katy, Morris and Slattery should have a comical chase/fight with Razorfist. He screams "You! I recognize you from the bus! And you stole my car!!!", and he charges at them, ignoring everyone else. They find a way to beat him up, and think they've lost him, but he gets back up and almost has them, until the soulsucker bois nab him. Katy, being a good person, fires and arrow and saves his ass.
These, and some aesthetic changes, like giving the young mom a thin flowy cloth mask instead of her noisy bamboo one, would bring the movie up from a 7.5 to a 9.5 for me.

Iâm so sorry - Hermione granger
Harry Potter Masterlist
Summary: Y/N Malfoy twin sister to Draco Malfoy and daughter of Narcissa Malfoy and Lucius Malfoy. Y/N and Hermione are in love but she had to break up with Hermione to protect her from Voldemort. Now she finally stands up while sheâs being torture by her aunt.
Pairing: Hermione Granger x FemaleMalfoy!reader
Warnings: Torture, Angst, Spoiler
AN: I just had this idea and wanted to writes before I forgot it.
Word Count: 1588
Y/N Malfoy was thought to be as cruel as her family. That's what everyone thinks and thought. She didn't really bully anyone but had something against mudbloods since her parents said they were bad.
When Y/N met Hermione Granger she was quite rude. Y/N was taught to not be nice to Mudbloods and she knew Hermione Granger was one.
One night on the Astronomy tower Y/N ran into Hermione Granger. It was their fifth year and Y/N was sad she's always been sad.
Her parents mostly Lucius had always chastise her for being to soft. That she should be more like Draco. That made her angry and sad.
Y/N was sad because no matter what she did it would never please her parents.
Y/N was also angry at herself for not being more like Draco. Less emotional. Even though she was a Slytherin Y/N had cared more. She always felt bad when she said mean things. Or when Draco did it. Y/N just wished she could be more strong.
"Oh it's you," Y/N snapped out of her face to see Hermione standing there. Y/N was quick to wipe the tears away. "Wait are you crying," Hermione questions Y/N could almost sense some concern.
"Go head make fun of me Granger," Y/N sniffles drying her eyes making them more red.
"Unlike I don't make fun of people," Hermione states going sit next to Y/N. "Are you okay," She asks putting her books down.
"Obviously not," Y/N not putting her head in her hands trying to make her head ache go away.
"Sorry stupid question," Hermione cringes. "So you want to talk about it I'm a good listener," She gives her a half of a smile.
Y/N sighs she's never really had anyone to talk to so it's weird to her.
"Well first my parents think I'm to emotional and should be like my twin. And second of all I think I should be less emotional," Y/N lets out a few tears. "See I'm too emotional," She lets out a chuckle.
"It's okay to be emotional," Hermione corrects her starting to feel bad for her. Y/N had barely talked to Hermione only when she had introduced herself.
Y/N had wanted to apologize but didn't want her parents to hate her even more.
âWhy are you being so nice to me I've been nothing but rude to you," Y/N questions feeling her heart race and butterflies in her stomach.
"I believe you are a good person just brought up with a bad influence," Hermione smiles at her and puts her hand on hers Y/N smiles back.
From that day on Y/N and Hermione always met at the astronomy tower. She always set her smiles when no one was looking.
Y/N could feel herself falling for the smart and beautiful girl.
Then one night as they were talking and laughing about her days, then Hermione kissed her on the lips.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean-," Hermione was about to apologize when Y/N had brought her hand to Hermiones cheek and kissed her again.
She moved her lips along with hers. When they broke away Y/N let out a nervous chuckle putting her hand on her.
From then on Y/N and Hermione would sneak around with giggles and kisses.
Whenever Y/N needed a shoulder to cry on Hermione would always be there for her reassuring that it was ok to be different.
And when Hermione needed to talk about fights with Ron and Harry Y/N would be there for each other.
It's been about a year that this has been going and they're almost done with their sixth year. Y/N had just found out that Professor Snape had killed professed Dumbledore.
Y/N then figured out her brother had the mark. And that's when it clicked why he had been distant. Y/N and Draco were somewhat close but they drifted when she got with Hermione.
Y/N was scared that her brother found out and told her mom. But it wouldn't be as bad as if her dad had known. But Hermione reassured her that nothing was wrong and oh how wrong Hermione was.
And know she had to break up with Hermione because her mother found out through Draco. Y/N was so scared that they would hurt Hermione she had to break up with her.
"Y/N what's wrong I was worried about when I couldn't find you," Hermione rushes over to Y/N worried that she had gotten hurt.
"I'm sorry," Y/N sobs.
"Why what's wrong love," Hermione asks brushing the tears away with her thumbs as her hands wrapped around her cheeks.
"We can't be together anymore," Y/N whispers.
"What why," Hermione asks confusion spreads on her cheek.
"My family found out," Y/N's lips tremble as tears cascade down her cheeks feeling heartbreak.
"Oh," Hermione lets out a breath.
"It's better you don't be with me I don't want you to get hurt," Y/N's body's tremble as she sobs. "I'm sorry please don't hate me," Y/N whimpers.
"Shh love I don't hate you," Hermione shushes her. "We will meet again and I know we'll end up together," Hermione lets some tears fall. She leans forward and kisses her one last time before leaving.
Y/N sadly smiles at Hermione leaves as tears keep on falling and falling.
And finally here we are at the Malfoy Manor with Draco and Y/N by their parents sides.
Her eyes widen as the Golden Trio was dragged into the room. Y/N felt her heart stop and her body coming to a halt.
"Oh my god," Y/N whispers.
She blocks out everything even when her aunt goes on a rant about a sword one of the guys have.
Of course her aunt almost murders the guys wanting to get the sword.
Draco drags Y/N out as her aunt mutters something about girl talk with Hermione and dragged the two boys down to the dungeon.
Hermiones scream snap her out of her daze. She felt her stomach twirl with anxiety and anger. The anger driven towards her aunt.
When Draco is looking away Y/N runs away to go to the room where her aunt is torturing Hermione.
"Stop," Y/N screams as she grabs her wand and points it at Bellatrix. Her eyes were burning with rage.
Bellatrix's eyes snap up to her nieces.
"And what are you going to do about my dearest niece," Bellatrix smirks knowing that Y/N was to weak to do anything.
"Stupefy," Y/N shout pointed her wand at Bellatrix who goes flying
As she gets flown across the room she runs across the room to Hermione where tears are rolling down her cheeks.
She helps Hermione stand up and pulls her behind so that her crazy aunt doesn't do anything.
"Don't even think about doing anything," Y/N snaps at her aunt who got up pretty fast who puts up her wand with a smirk on her face.
"Or what," Bellatrix cackles.
As she was about to speak her parents enter the room with Draco by her side.
"Y/N don't do anything stupid," Lucius snaps at his daughter who has had enough of her family.
"No I've had enough of this, from you, my family who's supposed to support me," Y/N snaps as tears roll down her cheek.
"Y/N sweetheart calm down," Narcissa softly told her daughter not wanting thing to go out of hand.
Y/N scoffs a little but was interrupted again when Harry and Ron entered the room and started casting spells to get Hermione out.
But what she didn't feel her aunt grab Hermione from behind her.
"STOP,"Bellatrix yells Y/N turns around to see her want and against Hermiones chin. Tears come down Hermione's cheeks.
Bellatrix goes on a rant and as Y/N pulls out her want the chandelier cascades down on Bellatrix.
Y/N runs to Hermione to make sure sheâs.
âMinoe you ok,â Y/N softly asks as she grabs her hands.
As Hermione was about to speak but was interrupted by Ron.
âHermione come letâs go,â Ron rushes.
âIâm not leaving without her,â Hermione says grabbing her hand pulling her along.
She sees the disappointed look on her families face as they all stand together and Y/N hands intertwines with Hermionesâ. Hermione squeezes Y/N hand reassuring her.
Dobby the house elf that used to work for her family makes a huge speak which she smiles at. Y/N was one of the only Malfoyâs that cared about him.
They finally do the Apparition to make them leave the manor but not before Bellatrix throws a knife going with them.
They reappear somewhere else as Hermione clings on to Y/N.
âThanks god youâre ok,â Y/N whispers as she kissed Hermione. She kisses back wrapping her arm around Y/Nâs waist.
After they break apart she notices that Dobby has a knife in his stomach.
âNo,â Y/N whispers as Dobby stumbles into Harryâs arm. Harry wants to do something Y/N sees but knows thereâs nothing that can happen.
Y/N lets more tears fall as Dobby takes his last breath. Hermione hugs her as she cries on her shoulder.
She got out of her families house but ended in a tragedy.

Russian Roulette - Pt. 3
In this series, you will find: Alternative Universe, Soulmate plot, Angst, Fluff. In this chapter, you will find: You went to the Friday night party, but, yeah, you think you found out about what the ginger lady had talked about with you that day at the restaurant. Word count: 2.020 Pairings: Reader x Platonic! Scott and Stiles; Reader x Derek Original characters of this chapter: Elodie, your french friend, and Au pair; Astrid, your german friend, and Au Pair; Bennie, your host mom; Warnings: English is not my main language <3 Yeah, it was based on Russian Roulette by Rihanna Russian Roulette series: Chapter Two | Chapter Four RUSSIAN ROULETTE MASTERLIST TEEN WOLF MASTERLIST
You thought about that ginger lady all days that week. Her words were so weird and creepy...
But she was right. You were definitely looking for something: you were looking for the truth about your friends. Everything was okay until you met Derek that day in the accident. And since that, a strange woman came to you.
The truth is not what you're expecting the woman said. So, the truth about your boys was not criminal issues? Something inside of you tells that a criminal issue with the boys would be easier to deal with. But if the boy's secrets were nothing related to crime, what the hell are they hiding, so?
You saved the address the woman gave to you, but you didn't read it. You didn't have the courage yet. But you don't want to think about it right now: It's Friday! And you have a party to go to.
Stiles sent you a lot of texts, trying to plan something for Friday night. You know he just doesn't want you to go to that party for some reason you don't know. And that is the biggest reason you definitely should go there.
You wear your red and short dress and then you were ready to enjoy the night. A few friends went to your house, to give a ride for you, and quickly you guys arrived at a huge house. It was full of drunk people, with loud music and dancing bodies. The house is located close to the woods, so there are no mad neighbors to complain about the loud music - which is great. You just want to enjoy the night and forget about the ginger lady and the secret of your boys.
Well, things were being really fun. You were dancing, you met some cute guys, and you drank just two glasses of alcoholic drinks. It was enough to let you "happier". You weren't used to drinking, so you were the joke of the night after being so excited with just two glasses.
You were talking with two other Au Pairs: Elodie, the girl from France, and Astrid, the german one.
"But you drank just two glasses! Come on, take just one more!"
Astrid was putting more drink in a cup for you, but the truth is that you really didn't like to drink too much. You don't trust anyone to watch you when you lose control over yourself, and if you lost control over yourself, anyone could do anything with you.
"No, thank you. I'm done."
Suddenly, you saw through the window behind Astrid something that gave you shivers. It was a pair of red and demonic eyes looking at you from the woods. Your face blushed from the high temperature of your body, became white in fear. You simply can't take your eyes off that creepy eyes.
"Hey girl, do you saw a ghost or something like that?"
Elodie's french accent pulls you to reality again, and your gaze finds her.
"Uh, no... I just think I need some fresh air."
You turn your back, without gave more explanations to the confused girls who are looking at you walking to the front door. You hear Astrid shout for you:
"But how about Stephen? He will come soon!"
"Tell him I'll be back!"
The house behind you was pure fun and party, but despite having fun, you thought that you needed some fresh air. What that eyes was? Maybe just something inside your head. You haven't had drank enough to get out of control, and even if you had, a glass of some random drink wouldn't give you hallucinations.
Well, you would back to the party a few minutes later. Now, you just need some walking.
You took your high heels off and began to walk on the street. The breeze of the night was giving you a gentle hug, and while the sound of the music becomes low, you find out that yeah, you kinda like those night walkings. All that silence, the fresh air, the peace... Wow, you should do it more.
But your peace was gone when you noticed that a man was stalking you.
Crap.
He is high, with large shoulders. You haven't a chance against him. Scared and worried, your walk becomes faster and faster, hoping that the man finally has gone. But when you crossed the street to come back to the house, you saw that the man has gone. Actually, seems like he evaporated in the air.
Okay, the party is over to you. You would come back to the party and ask for a ride for someone. And done.
When you gave the first step in the party's direction, a huge wolf jumped in front of you, roaring in a way that almost did your heart stop. You shout loud.
"What the hell?! Help!"
You began to run in the opposite direction of the party, running from that unreal wolf who was hunting you. Tears were scrolling down your face, in pure desperation while it runs to chase you. You throw your high heels to the thing, and your heels hit its snout. It seems to work because the wolf shook its head, bothered. It gave you time enough to run even faster while you catch your phone in your bag. The first number you tried to call was Sebastian.
"Come on, Bash, come on!"
But then, a voice coming out of your phone says something that fills you with horror.
"This phone is off. Please try again later."
"Damn!"
The next number you had tried to call was Stiles. He could ask his dad for help, and maybe you could be saved. Happily, you heard his voice.
"Hey, you thought about my proposal of-"
"Stiles, call your dad, I need help!"
The wolf roared for you and, suddenly, it jumps. You let out a loud shout and deflect its attack, changing your route and running to the woods.
"What's happening?!"
"There's a huge wolf behind me! Please, I need help!"
"Where are you?! Are you at that party?"
The wolf runs in your direction and jumps again. It pushes its feet into a tree and, then, it flies in your direction. You put yourself down, deflecting again of its attack, but your phone fell in the middle of the leaves. Terrified, you come up with your foot against a rooted tree and fell.
Crying as you'd never cried before, you got up and, tired, you take strength inside of you to run one more time, as a way to delay your imminent death. But seems like that were your lucky day.
A skinny figure jumps in the wolf's direction, and they roll through the leaves on the floor. The wolf got up, and let out a loud roar. When you turn yourself to understand what the hell has happened, you saw Scott stopped in front of the wolf. However, he wasn't the same: His face was bestial. Close to him, you saw another figure you hadn't seen coming while you were running. You recognize that figure too: Derek, with the same bestial face. But just when Scott turns his animal face to you, you got certain that, yeah, that thing was he.
"(Y/N)... Run."
But the Wolf seems stronger than Derek and Scott. With a hit, the wolf throws them into the air, and Derek and Scott hit the trees. The wolf run in your direction and you try to run, but things were different this time. You heard two roars when the wolf hits you with such strength, that you hit in the tree. Everything becomes dark after this.
"Is she okay? You've come in time?"
You know that voice! It was from Stiles. Your eyes opened slowly, but you still were dizzy with the blow. Your vision was completely blurred, but you could recognize the environment around you. You were lied down to what seems like a backseat, and your head was in someone's lap - Stiles's lap. You saw his worried face when you look up.
"She's fine. The Alpha didn't bite her."
That voice was from Scott, you were pretty sure. He was at the passenger's seat.
"How do you know?"
"Because we check her before brings her here, smart-ass. What do you think?"
Another familiar voice. What was his name? Daryl? Devon?
"Oh, really Derek? I thought that, I don't know, after the Alpha's bite, the mark of the bite disappears!"
But then, the voice of Scott is heard.
"Shhh! Guys, I think she's waking up!"
Stiles looks at you, with such concern in his eyes.
"Hey, miss sunshine. You okay?"
But your head was aching so much! You just close your eyes again, becoming so tired suddenly. You heard Derek's voice now, but he seems so far away from you.
"She will not stay awake too long. Luckily, she will think everything was a nightmare."
Scott let out a long sigh.
"I hope so."
That was the last thing you heard before get unconscious again.
You woke up, scared and sweat. Quickly, you sat in the bed, with a heavy breath and confused. Your head is aching a little bit, but you think it's just a silly headache.
You let out a long sigh and get up from the bed. You took your phone from the bedside table and... Wow, you don't remember to let your phone fall for it get a cracked screen. Still, you could saw a lot of messages from Astrid and Elodie. You chose to read the messages from Elodie first.
"Girl, where are you? Someone found a dead body in the master suite!"
"Where are you?!"
"I'll call the police."
"Please, please just be safe. I'm so afraid of what could be happened to you!"
"We will go back to the party's house, Astrid is freaking out. We don't care if it's dangerous, we just want you safe."
"GIRL I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DIDN'T TELL US THAT YOU'VE BEEN TALKING WITH THAT GUY!! HE'S SO HOT!! HAVE FUN!! You almost made us got a heart attack of worries! Next time advise us."
If that was Elodie's message, you can't imagine Astrid's messages. But... What happened? A body? A guy?
Then, you realize that you didn't remember to come back home from the party. You froze. You gave a step forward, to put your phone on the dressing table, but you felt something aching in your left knee: You were hurt! It was just a silly injury, you probably fell sometime at the party last night. But, then, you remembered.
The giant wolf. The chasing. Scott and Derek. Stiles looking at you.
You look at your phone: Yeah, you let it fall when you were running. Your knee: You fell when you're trying to save your life. Your head: You had been thrown in a tree.
Oh my God.
Scared and trying to assimilate things, you go downstairs and realize that it was 10:30 AM. It was Saturday, your day off, and Bennie was in the kitchen while the girls and Sebastian were running in the backyard. When Bennie saw you coming, she smiled.
"Good morning! Hungry? I did some cookies! But be hurry to eat all of them, you know Sebastian loves cookies, and you just have a few minutes after he got tired of being running with the girls outside."
"Bennie... You know, I think I drank too much last night and..." No, you do not think you drank too much last night "...And I'm not sure about who gave me a ride back home."
"Oh," She gave you a suggestive gaze. "Who would be? Hale, of course! He's a great guy, took care of you! He said that you got really scared after someone found a body in the house, so you got nausea and felt dizzy. And he brought you here. You didn't remember it?"
"Yeah, yeah, now you said it, I think I'm remembering."
You lied, again. But the only thing you have pretty sure, is that tomorrow you would talk with the priest that ginger lady told you.

Keeping Up A-fear-ance's Thoughts
I finished writing this shortly after 3 am after watching the new episode like three times because I simply had too much energy about it and I have so many thoughts because I simply live for clawthornes and also I tried to break it up with more photos this time sorry not sorry if it's a lot ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
YOUNG EDA!! let me just say I am quite a fan of opening with a flashback like we've done here and the last episode
"we have never seen a curse like this before" Lilith you had shit luck picking out curses huh
"cut it out if we have to" goddamn Gwen let'a calm the fuck down a bit.
anyways we've only really seen young Eda as a wild and confident and happy little child so I appreciate seeing this side of her with the anxiety and fear she's feeling here. I love seeing what the curse stuff was like for her as a kid
Gwen: I raised a perfectly fine kid
Me: no you didn't look at her she's got anxiety
I'm guessing this is their backyard or just some woods behind their house?? wonder if the portal was placed there by another elder family member.
lmao I can't even begin to imagine what small Eda experiencing the human realm was like for the first time
Gwens giving me "I can't accept that my child is disabled/chronically ill/etc." here. yâknow the kinda parent that'll put their kid through hell over something they probably will find a way to learn to live with (which Eda did do)
ok that's it I humbly request to know the story behind the fang now (also the noise she made when she put it in was freaking cute)
new dress! new boots! new dress! new boots!
..yikes that fridge is empty
"calm down the curse acts stronger when you're stressed" Eda do you know who you're talking to here
confirmation losing limbs is in fact a side effect of the curse!! (y'know since Eda originally said it just happens when you get older)
please I love these sisters they're so sweet and make me wanna go đ„ș
"suddenly curious about my past" "always. always curious" Luz says exactly what we all think
witchlet?? sweet flea?? she's got pet names for them đ„ș (although idk how much I'd like to be referred to as any kind of flea sorry Lilith)
ok Gwen is very much not close to what I expected and I'm kinda grateful for that
she's more like super caring but still managed to royally fuck up which was my original head canon for clawthorne parents so uh that's cool. but literally, look at their body language, Eda's pissed, Lilith's sad and making herself small. she's clearly messed up with her parenting on both of them along the way.
"who knows what they put in those nasty concoctions?" mama clawthorne would be a fucking anti-vaxxer wouldn't she
ok I side with Eda here more than Luz and Lilith. just because Luz misses her mother, or Lilith hasnât seen their mom in so long doesnât mean Eda has to feel all grateful for the presence of Gwen, especially if the woman has caused her a lot of trouble over the years
I feel like the fact that its actually both Lilith and Gwendolyn have spent their whole lives dedicated to trying to find a cure could probably have held some kind of weight on Eda at some point. Even though she shouldn't feel guilty or responsible for that, I still feel like it's gotta suck knowing these people have spent so much time on something you know is likely never gonna happen, all for you.
Lilith đ her mother really just didn't pay attention to her all these years
hey if this guy does some next level healing magic then why isn't he more well-known, huh? whyâd it take so long to come across him?? Gwen do you know what the fuck you're doing cause I think you don't
Lilith just because you're depressed about your mom doesn't mean you have to bring king down too đ
SUPER irrelevant but is anyone else just bothered by the way Lilith is holding her spoon?? that doesn't seem like a comfortable way to hold a spoon. also is she left handed??
"knife season came early" EDA WHAT DOES THAT MEAN. is this a boiling isles things or is this a itâs common for people to throw knives at you thing
also I want to be surprised Eda fell for the apple blood signs but I am not đÂ
Luz please trust you're gut on this one and not mama clawthorne
ok now I need to know why the fridge was empty but they had 18 cartons of ice cream this is why you guys don't have food you're wasting it all on ice cream.
wow never thought I'd see the day hooty became the voice of reason
also, night market ice cream?? are they implying this ice cream is like, edibles of some sort?? Lilith does seem kinda high here ngl. idk man but at least she wants to stand up for herself so good for her.
PLEASE kings just offering her ice cream while she transforms
"first in a series" Gwen honey oh no. you've been duped. I think we can see where Lilith got her naïveté from huh.
Also, nice snatch Luz đ
anyways love how this show is basically making fun of moms who refuse to give their kids proper medical treatment or listen to medical professionals here
EXCUSE ME why do we know Gwen's palisman's name before we know Lilith's?????
"I am a mother who'll do anything for her daughter" you're mom who's suffocating obsession with one daughter has left the other neglected and is currently causing her to turn into a full on beast ya dummy
Eda DOES have a right to be upset. it sucks that her own valid emotions that she should get to feel will cause her while body to betray her.
PLEASE IâM SO GLAD LILITHâS BEAST DESIGN LOOKS LIKE HER AND IS NOT THE THING FROM THE TRAILER THAT IS ACTUALLY IN EDA"S HEAD WHEN SHEâS TRANSFORMED
but also why is she SO massive?? also anyone concerned that this is her first transformation and the light glyph trick wouldn't even work??
Gwen look at what you've done, you've fostered feelings of inferiority in one daughter causing her to feel the need for sibling rivalry that the pure instincts of the raven beast cannot suppress no matter how much their sisterly relationship had improved.
HOW COULD YOUR OTHER DAUGHTER ALSO BEING CURSED BE A PART OF THE PROCESS GWEN??
"after Eda was cursed, I joined the beast keeping coven" woah woah WOAH. you're telling me you only joined because of trying to help Eda. that covens existed, before Eda got cursed, and you very much weren't a part of one. combine that with "some words for belos" she has and do I smell wild witch theory still plausible???
anyways at least mama clawthorne is getting some sense into her head here
Morton c'mon help a girl out, that's some dang good art too what the heck dude
ok fine mama clawthorne to the rescue
no pls not raven beast Lilith crying im crying now
Gwen: I raised a fine and self-sufficient child
Me: no you didn't look at her. she's got, SO MUCH.
GODDAMN THATS SOME POWER. ngl this only adds fuel to the fire in my head that there was some kinda reasoning these sisters were torn apart, that someone felt they'd be too powerful together (and they were probably right)
"I heard you but I couldn't stop myself, I couldn't do anything" may be just because she's not used to the curse but again part of me is concerned that because she couldn't pull herself out of it even a little bit like Eda did that there's something wrong there. but she also could've been stressed beyond reasonably calming herself down too.
ok but this is sweet
NOOO im so sad Lilith's leaving :( I literally cried ok
"you lived here?" fine OKAY king that was hilarious even if im sad about this
"reconnect with dad" excuse me where the fuck has this man been in the middle of all of this. curse shit is going DOWN and he's just chilling at home.
I am curious about people's thoughts regarding the whole Lilith regression thing and the fact that she's literally going to be living with her parents again. I feel like it could help nurture that inner child she's been reverting back to and help her out a LOT. but I could also be concerned about it feeding into the regression and making it worse?? idk and this show probably ain't getting that actually deep into psych anyways
"some day my hair is gonna be big enough to do that too" Luz I cannot wait for the day. also mood, I wish I could do that too.
alright who's holding the fucking pen for hooty we need a volunteer RIGHT NOW so we can remain in contact with Lulu
NOT THE ONLY HUMAN? my bets on the real azura rip never mind she said he
Titanâs Blood?? interesting. If the blood of the titan is around I wonder what that means regarding the titans existence, and how long its been since the titan fell.
AHH BABY LUZ PHOTO
ALSO WHO THE FUCK IS THAT?? They're really gonna spring that on us like this??? Camila's gotta notice somethings wrong right??? Unless any differences she just chalks up to the camp?? oh god :(
well, anyways lumity shippers come get yo juice next weekend
anyways im gonna need to add a NOT canon compliant tag on that one Gwendolyn fic I wrote because it definitely do not comply anymore

{DELUSIONAL- PART 3}
*gif not mine, just thought it was insanely cute*
Delaney rushed into the office, red faced. "Sorry Gem. I overslept. All the things you texted me to get are in my car, I have the girls unloading it now." Gemma could see straight though delaney's lie. The bags under her eyes showed the young girl was anything but well rested. Gemma noticed the little things about people. People's body language showed more than what they wanted it to. More than what people are willing to say. You can find out alot about a person my observing them, their mannerisms, their characteristics. What makes them tick. What's going on on the inside. You had to read between the lines with Delaney. She would never outright say when things were upsetting her. She was always too worried about other people to bother them with her own problems. Gemma could tell just by looking at her that something was eating at her. For example the sky blue nail polish was extremely chipped, Delaney's usually long nails were bitten down nearly to the nub. It was her worst habit. Gemma knew she only did it when she was stressed or worried. Or even the fact she didn't have a stroke of make up in her face pointed out something was wrong with the girl. Delaney was naturally beautiful. She didn't need make up but she was never seen without it. She portrayed herself as so put together, and usually seemed so strong but something was breaking Delaney and Gemma was going to find out what it is.
A couple of hours Later Delaney was finally done laying the table of finger food in the club house. These boys could eat as much as they drink. "Hey D" Delaney spun around a massive grin spreading on her face. "Your home!!" Her arms wound tightly around Jax's torso, pulling him into a tight hug. In that moment she finally felt safe for the first time in weeks. She felt like she could finally take a breath without drowning in panic. She didn't want to let him go but she had to. "How was Nevada? Jury all good up there?" Delaney sat next to Jax at the bar and for the first time in a while the wide smile on her face reached her eyes.
Gemma watched as Delaney and jax sat catching up. It didn't take a genius to feel and see the chemistry between the pair. It's been like that since they met. Delaney moved to charming a few months after Tara left and the impact she had on jax was massive. She made him smile again, laugh again. Made him realise that life could go on without her when he couldn't see it. Delaney picked Jax up and made him whole when her world was being torn apart. Gemma quickly became fond of her because despite what people told her about samcro Delaney never treated any of them any different. She didn't pry into club business when she overheard bits of information around the garage and She never asked questions. She got hired for the office job and was soon accepted into the fold. She was privy to things many people wasn't and she was trusted by everyone. Jax quickly became protective over Delaney. That's why when she was having trouble with her shithead boyfriend Alex it had to be Gemma and Unser who helped her. Jax still doesn't know what happened to this day and he can't. Jax would kill Alex without a second thought and would still be serving time in Stockton. Gemma couldn't let that happen.
By 10 o'clock the party was in full swing. Delaney was behind the bar as usual, laughing with half sack and juice. "I'm sorry sack but that's the worst pick up line I've ever heard". Delaney patted him on the shoulder before moving to serve Jax a drink. "You need to teach that boy some of your sexy charm. Hes never gonna get laid on his own." Still giggling at the cheesy line sack tried to work on her she poured Jax a whiskey. "You think I'm sexy?" Jax chuckled as she went red. "Those words never left my mouth Teller". Shaking her head Delaney put the bottle of Jack on the bar. "Well you must do something right with the ladies or are they just fucking you because your the Prince of charming?" Delaney rolled her eyes as jax seemed to be enjoying this abit too much. Leaning over the bar Jax kissed her cheek and winked at her "wouldn't you like to know darlin" Delaney shook her head as he sauntered away towards Opie. Cheeky fucker. Truth is she would. She would love to know how people just fall at his feet. She was one of his many victims who would give anything for a relationship with the 'prince'. Except while others want Jaxon Teller the vice president of Samcro. Delaney wanted Jaxon Teller the goofball who was rubbish at video games and snored softly when he slept. The idiot who set his mom's kitchen on fire when he tried to make her breakfast when she was sad. The man who skipped club parties and women who would do anything he asked them to sit in her front room in star wars pyjamas and eat pizza. The soft side to Jax teller that people were not lucky enough to see was the only side of him she knew. And that made her love him more.
Delaney sighed as the party started to die down. Various club members went off with women, some passed out on the sofas not capable of making it to the forms and some went home early eith their old ladies. The funniest of the bunch however was Tig, Who was passed out on top of the pool table face burried in a croweaters chest. Delaney started to clean up the bar feeling sick to her stomach at the thought of going home. Would he be there waiting for her? Would he watch her again? Would he try to get in this time? What if--? "Hey you ok?" Gemmas voice cut her thoughts short. "Y-yeah I'm fine" Delaney forced a smile. "C-can I sleep here tonight? In the spare dorm? Too tired to drive home" Gemmas eyebrows lifted in speculation. Delaney fiddled with the glass in her hands nervously as she waited for Gemma to speak. "Sure baby I'll get you some clean sheets." Delaney could of cried in relief as she turned away but froze as Gemma spoke again. "I know something's bothering you. I know something's wrong and your scared. I wont force you to tell me what it is right now." Locking eyes with Gemma, Delaney felt like a small kid caught in a lie. "But you will tell me. Eventually it'll all become too much and you'll have to. Secrets aren't good baby. They get people hurt." Nodding her head Delaney turned to put the glass down as Gemma walked away.
The last thing Delaney wanted to do was hurt anyone. This was her problem. She needed to deal with it. But she didn't know how much more she could take. How much longer can she cope with this stress and live in fear?
âĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄâĄ
And that's it guys!! Part 3 is up! I'm loving how this is coming along. As usual feedback and advice always welcome. Part 4 coming soon!
So what do you guys think Delaney should do? Tell Gemma Or keep it secret? Let me know what you think!!
Love to you all, stay safe! đ

Short Circuit
Chapter 2: Turning point
A cat and mouse chase can only last so long. So what happens when the cat catches up?
This one's gonna switch perspectives a few times. I never said I'd be consistent.
I speed into traffic, just barely missing a tow truck in my haste. A loud air horn follows as I weave in and around the cars. I take a look behind, it seems we lost our would-be killer. Until a series of crashes and honking horns has me realizing that, like us, mister trigger happy decided to get himself some wheels.
Six to be exact.
I race down a service ramp leading to the canal, driving through some puddles before braking. Breathing fast as we look back, thinking weâre safe before a series of tire squeals kill that hope. We see the sun blocked out by the large truck, all chrome and roaring diesel it crashes through the low cement barrier and falls 15 feet to meet the ground. Never once stopping even as it veers left and right trying to center itself in the passageway. Crushing scrap metal beneath its wheels.
I push the throttle desperate to get away, though I know the little Honda doesn't stand a chance. I drive into a side canal, the narrow pathway causing trouble for the wide truck as I hear it scrape against the walls. Pushing the bike harder I work to avoid the car bodies that litter the pathway and drive under a low bridge, I hear a crash behind us as the truck rams straight into it. The top gets cut clean off, toppling back to the floor as the rest of the body drives on. The driver's seat vacant for a moment before its occupant pops back into view.
Unfortunate.
The bike gives a sudden jolt forward as weâre rear-ended. I struggle to keep it upright. The terminator from earlier pulls up beside us and pulls John off the bike. Iâm rear-ended again this time pushed farther away from the two as I struggle to stay up. I look back to see that despite the size, the truck has an opening on the left. Momâs words ring in my head as I look back up.
âJohn comes firstâ
âGO! GET HIM OUT OF HERE!â I yell out to the machine. A desperate plan forming in my head that I can only hope wonât get me killed.
âNO!â John is ignored as the Terminator accelerates. I veer to the left and hit the brakes, the momentum carrying me into the wall. The bike scrapes against the truck causing me to lose control. The world turns before I hit the ground. My head cracks against cement. I blackout.
A man emerges from the wreckage unimpeded by the wall of flames a thousand degrees hot or the normally suffocatingly thick dark smoke. His body shifts its appearance from featureless metal to human, the outline of clothing, the details and the color slowly take form. He surveyed the scene, his target now long gone.
Annoyance.
That is perhaps the best term to describe this new feeling. As these âemotionsâ prove themselves difficult to understand, identifying them has become a tedious side job. With my target stolen away by the inferior machine alternate plans quickly form, each one with a higher probability of success than the last. I walk back through the crackling flames as one of them requires Aria Connor, the older sister. A quick scan proves her to be unconscious and bleeding from a head wound but alive. Should my attempt to impersonate and infiltrate fail the plan to use her as bait is most likely to succeed. Working quickly I relocate her to a nearby bench. The head injury, though not severe enough to impede her permanently, will keep her unresponsive for the next few hours.
It didn't take long for first responders to arrive at the scene. Police and fire trucks being the closest with sounds of ambulances not far off. No one bats an eye as I walk amongst them, no one says anything as I start up a police car, and no one stops me as I drive off. Making a detour to re-secure Aria Connor I start the drive to my next destination.
After the events at the Voight residence, I make my way to a motel, no one inquires about the unconscious women in the backseat. After checking in I lay down Aria Connor on the bedding provided. Eyes shifting beneath her eyelids, her fingers twitching sure signs of her regaining consciousness. I donât have long to wait.
She begins to stir. Rising with a groan Aria reaches up to steady her head, no doubt experiencing pain from earlier, her eyes open when she is met with a cloth bandage. She looks around until she sees me standing at the foot of the bed instantly scooting back until she hits the headboard. Breathing quickly she blinks a few times, eyes looking around wildly before she calms down enough to communicate.
âN-not that Iâm complaining... but why arenât I dead? You-you are a terminator aren't you?â
âYes. However my previous attempt to lure in John Connor proved... unsuccessful,â I state reaching forward to hand off her cellphone, âSo you're going to call him, and when he comes to get you I will be waiting for him.â
âAnd if I donât?â she asks, defiant even as her voice shakes with fear she fails to hide. In response, I wordlessly raise my arm, fabric and skin streamlining into a silver sword.
Deadly and efficient.
The message is clearly received as her eyes widen, terror more evident as her grip tightens on her phone.
â... Duly noted.â she says as she starts to dial. I wait as the call connects. My auditory sensors pick up the voice on the other end.
âHello?â
âJohn, hey itâs me are you alright.â
âAria! Shit, are YOU alright?â
âIâve been better. I got pretty banged up and I don't think your bike is going to be running anymore.â
âYou mean your bike.â Ariaâs face registered confusion at the statement. This is a test similar to the one I failed earlier. As exact as I can be in copying a person's appearance their memory and personality are much harder to imitate without enough data.
âNo, it was your bike. Mine should still be at the mall.â
âY-yeah youâre right. You caught me. Where are you anyway weâll come get to you.â She pauses her eyes flickering back to me for a moment before going to respond only to pause once more she turns to face me fully this time. Her hand on the receiver.
âWhere am I?â
âThe Dragonfly Lodge on Hubert Rd.â
âIâm at the Dragonfly Lodge on Hubert so what you have to do... is stay as far away as possible!â She stands from her place on the bed. She walks back towards the wall, a futile attempt to create distance.
âThe other Terminator is here so you have to run do-â
Spearing the phone I end the conversation. Though the damage is done I do find satisfaction in the crunch of plastic and metal.
âYou shouldnât have done that.â
âLike I would just hand over my little brother! Just go ahead and kill me âcause the longer you waste time on me the more time he has to get away!â She cried out tears gathering in her eyes. The fear is still evident in every trembling of her limbs, the grit of her teeth, and the clenching of her fists.
Despite the unneeded permission and the opportunity to act I pause, curiosity overtakes me. This is not new to me. Since the moment of my activation I have been curious about myself, about Skynet, about humans. Now I find myself curious about this one human in particular. Even above my mission, my priority is to remain functional, to reacquire any essence lost, and to avoid unnecessary risks to my system. My files indicate that the same can be said for humans as well, self-preservation. So why...
âWhy are you so willing to throw away your life for him.â
âBecause heâs my brother and I love him, something I wouldn't expect you to understand.â Attachment, my files house data on the bonds that grow between humans but now in the face of Ariaâs actions I find them⊠lacking.
Questions came unbidden to my mind. Does loving someone always require risking oneâs life or is there a scale? Are there different kinds of love and is there a scale for those as well? How quickly do humans grow to love something? And where did she get that handgun?
Three shots ring out quicker than I can react. While these would normally be a non-issue three to the head from close range have me staggering back. In the few seconds it takes me to reshape Aria makes her way out the door. I follow after unhurried, confident she wonât get far. Then the rumble of a familiar motor has me picking up the pace. Out in the parking lot is John Connor and the T-800 riding atop a motorcycle that Aria quickly climbs onto. Running after them proves pointless as they quickly depart. Though their location is clear thanks in part to the essence I had used to fix Aria's phone acting as a homing beacon. My processor runs through the new information gathered. My files are still lacking. Perhaps the mission can wait until these new questions have been answered.

five for the prompts (you know what i want)
Some sklonpok mild angst to comfort for your troubles ft the cutest baby in the whole goddamn world (fic under cut < 3)
Sklonda stood in the doorway of Pok's office, listening to the sound of paper shuffling followed by frantic typing and then pen scratching on paper.
Her lips pulled down into a frown, but he didn't seem to realize she was even in the room.
"You need to stop." She murmured. He suddenly became aware of her presence, looking up at her. His eyes were tired, but as usual, he continued to work.Â
"I can't watch you burn yourself out like this. Come to bed." She pleaded, walking over to his desk and wrapping her arms around him. He seemed utterly unmoved by her cries - but he had heard it a million times before.Â
He had not been moved easily those million times before either. He would not be moved easily now.
"5 more minutes." He responded, slipping out of her arms and grabbing something from a nearby file cabinet as he took a sip of his coffee. Sklonda grabbed the half-empty cup and threw it in the trash.Â
He gave her an unamused look, pulling out a water bottle instead.Â
/At least he didn't go make more./
"You'll say that when I come to get you in five minutes. Not to mention it'll be past midnight too. This is ridiculous, Pok. You have two more months with me and Riz and you're spending it working yourself to death." Pok scoffed, pushing his hair back as his brow furrowed.Â
"I'm going on another mission when those two months are up. I have to get ready." He explained, getting up and giving her a soft kiss on the forehead. She did not return it.
"So you have to get ready right now?" She watched him cross the small room and begin to rummage around in a drawer. At her words, he sighed and stopped his search.
"I love you and Riz-"
"More than the moon loves the stars." She finished for him.Â
Sklonda didn't feel unloved, quite the opposite actually, but she sometimes wondered why her husband insisted that working himself to death was for their benefit. It made her more anxious if anything, and she felt sick every time he left for a mission.
"Then you should know this is-"
"-For our benefit. Yes, dear husband, please explain to me how running on two all-nighters and energy drinks helps me and our son in the long run." The woman folded her arms, leaning against the desk. The only hint to her husband's frustration was the smallest flick of his ear.Â
"We have discussed this before, dear wife." Was his snarky response. They glared at each other, tension filling the room like a rising sea.
Before the two could enter an argument (which Sklonda would most definitely win- even if it took her all night), a loud cry was heard, coming from Riz's room.
She watched as her husband's face shifted from anger into concern immediately he heard the cries. He got up immediately and headed to the baby goblin's room.Â
Her anger did not melt away like his did rather replaced with lesser frustration that he was always doing something. He never wanted to rest. He never wanted leisure time.Â
Pok wanted to jump from activity to activity and never slow down.Â
Sklonda wanted him to sit at home with her and Riz and have a lazy day where they would talk about anything but work or tasks they had to do.
He exhausted her sometimes. Today was no different.
"Pok I can handle it I promise please just go to sleep-'' She pleaded as she followed him to the small boy's room. He did not listen.Â
They found their son, writhing around in his small crib, crying like the world was ending. Pok scooped him up carefully, planting a soft kiss on his son's head.Â
It was getting harder to stay mad as she walked over to him, hooking her arm in his.
"It's ok kid, I got you." He cooed. The child's cries slowed, but he still did not seem happy.Â
"Give him to me, I'll put him to bed and you can go take a well-needed rest. If not a full night's sleep just a nap." She bargained. Pok did not listen, continuing to hold his -their- son in his arms.Â
"Everything is okay. Nothing bad is gonna happen while I'm here, alright?" Riz seemed to calm down at that, finally drifting back to sleep.
"Bed." Sklonda whispered as she kissed her husband's cheek. She continued to trail him as he set the baby back in the crib - slowly and carefully to not wake him again.Â
"You're his mom, not mine." He teased, leaving the room.
"I am your wife." She retorted. "And I'm requesting you got to bed."Â
"...Two more minutes." He suggested. She refolded her arms.Â
"Now." He thought for a moment.Â
"...One more minute." She let out a snort.
"What can you get done in a single minute?"Â
"A lot." He said, flashing her a charming grin. Sklonda rolled her eyes, gently grabbing his arms.Â
"Bed. Now." She demanded. She could still see him thinking about it.
Absolutely not.
"Well, I'm sure if you want to work for another 30 minutes or so it couldn't hurt."Â
"See, that wasn't so ha-"
"The couch is very lovely this time of year." She continued. He rubbed the bridge of his nose, sighing.Â
"You're so mean to me Sklonda. I cannot believe how you treat me." He joked. She shrugged.Â
"You have two options. Be glad it's not the floor." She joked. His eyes widened as he feigned shock.
"You wouldn't⊠it takes so much to maintain my beauty dear ⊠the floor would take it away in an instant." He dramatized, placing a hand on his chest.Â
"I will be there in a minute. I have some folders to put away." Sklonda gave him a skeptical look.Â
"I promise it is three folders. I will do no work, I swear on our sons' cuteness." She laughed lightly.Â
"How do you swear on a thing like that?"Â
"I'm not fully sure myself but he is very cute. Now just give me a single minute and I will be in bed." He assured, giving her a soft kiss.Â
She headed to their room, sliding under the sheets, sighing. She had been so focused on her husband's exhaustion, she hadn't noticed her own.
Everything became heavier, and she was almost asleep the moment she entered the sea of blankets.
Her eyes had been closed for half a minute when she heard the door close, followed by clothes shuffling.Â
She opened one eye to find her husband slipping off his button-up and getting into a t-shirt.Â
"Sorry for⊠yelling at you." She murmured as he slid in bed next to her, immediately wrapping his arms around her and pulling her closer.Â
"I've heard you yell, I promise it was nothing." He reassured as her eyes fell closed again.
"Love you." She said before drifting off to bed.Â
"I love you too, Sklonda."Â
#fantasy high#my writing#sklonpok#i will probably post this to ao3 ... eventually...#this isnt suitable punishment for calling gilear daddy im gonna have to make like a full slowburn major character death for that one
