One of the conflict between Alex and Jackie at the beginning is that Alex should have told Jackie about Paige, and it's understandable that Jackie felt confused and doubt about their relationship after knowing that. But that fact alone should cancel the agrument about "Alex always tried to make Cole look bad so he could look better" or "Alex wanted Jackie only to compete with Cole" or whatever (even though the second argument already makes no sense as if we didn't see Alex already fell in love with Jackie at the first sight, and has been looking after her and trying to make her happy since then).
Because if Alex truly only acted on the "nice guy syndrome", it would have worked well on his benefit if he'd told Jackie about Paige and Cole kissing his girlfriend. Now it will definitely make him even more of a good guy and Cole a major big asshole to Jackie, and it's even without lying. What would win a girl better than a sob story about a girl who he did nothing but be good for, breaking his heart? Like he could have whined on detailed about the betrayal, how it affects him, and made it everyone's problems. Instead he avoided talking about it until he had to assure Jackie what he felt about her is real and he no longer had feeling for his ex, he ignored Paige just as much as he walked away from Cole (until the asshole of his brother had to get into his personal space to provoke him and mock him).
Not to mention while calling Cole fcked up doings he also held himself accountable. He always apologized when he did something wrong, he refered to his wrong actions with "there's no excuse" and not even tried to justify himself about punching Cole when he had reasons to do so. He's not perfect, he has flaws, he fcked up too but he tried his best.

Physically unwell just thinking about all the imagery we're eventually going to get of Stolas and Blitz looking at each other.
Ever since Just Look My Way, where Stolas expresses his desire for Blitz to look at him and truly see and understand who he is and what his feelings are, we've been steadily fed imagery of either both of them facing away from each other, not understanding each other at all—

When Stolas does look back at Blitz in those key moments, it's a glance—his body still turned away from Blitz, as opposed to Blitz, whose whole body and attention are turned directly toward Stolas:

Throughout the second half of this season, Blitz has continuously looked Stolas' way. It's very clear since Stolas' confession in The Full Moon that Blitz just wants to understand where Stolas is coming from.
Still, in The Full Moon and at the beginning of Apology Tour, Blitz still makes lots of assumptions about what Stolas wants from him, based on both his own negative self-image and his reservations against the upper class. Throughout Apology Tour, Blitz finally allows himself to listen to Stolas, who drunkenly shows and expresses some of his loneliness and pain. Blitz listens, takes this in, and gives Stolas space when Stolas asks.
By Ghostfuckers, he has realised Stolas' feelings for him were genuine, but believes he's already ruined any chance of a relationship with him. And, in Mastermind, Blitz's fears are proven wrong by Stolas' sacrifice. Blitz finally, truly sees Stolas for who he really is and what he really feels—so much so that Blitz gains access to Stolas' inner world, the world where his true feelings shine through.
But Stolas has yet to go through this process. Stolas is still under the impression that Blitz never respected or loved him, that what they had meant nothing to Blitz—he's still operating based on his own assumptions and fears, and not listening to what Blitz says to him when he begs to be heard, expresses his own insecurities, cries out for Stolas not to leave him. He hasn't been looking Blitz's way. He wasn't ready.
But he's going to. Sooner or later, Stolas will look Blitz's way. And when he does, it's going to be so absolutely stunning, and cathartic, and intense, and beautiful.

shinra was ever quiet into the late evening as you tiptoed down the corridor of suites, careful not to stumble or make a ruckus. after all, normal people were asleep around this hour, even if you weren’t one of them.
but.. neither was your boyfriend, apparently, and you were about to make that his problem.
reaching the end of the hall, a soft breath spilled from your lips as you raised your fist to gently knock, grinning brightly. “sephirothhh.. it’s meeeee, your beloved y/n!” you sang as quiet as can be, suppressing a giggle before adding in a whispered yell, “open up before i freeze my ass off!”
it was a known fact that he, like his other peers, was graced with enhanced senses. which included hearing — among many other qualities to detect your presence, of course.
that being said, sephiroth had to be aware of your arrival, and by the pattern of footfalls echoing behind the door, it seemed he was!
liquid mercury framing a pale, ethereal face emerged through the crack of the doorframe, lips pulled into the tiniest of smiles. “apologies, i wasn’t aware i would be receiving company at this hour.” he finally spoke, sidestepping as an unvoiced invitation. “to what do i owe the pleasure of your lovely presence?”
with a quick kiss to his cheek, you threw your arms around him after twisting the lock, humming softly. “well, i must confess that i was suffering of boredom, lingering caffeine and a horrid lack of sephitonin.. so i decided to do something about that!”
a soft peck was placed on the flat of your temple in return, a noise of amusement following. “sephitonin, you say? and a lack of it? my, that sounds terrible, it simply won’t do.” sephiroth murmured back, cradling your body close to his by the hips. “what is your solution, if i might inquire?” there were several things that came to mind, but somehow you always had a way of going beyond his assumptions.
this was no exception. “a kiss for every minute that we have been apart sounds promising.. or a cuddle session until dawn, that sounds very appealing too.. then again, a goodnight’s rest on your thighs sounds lovely as well.. is ‘all the above’ an option here?”
a chuckle tumbled from his rosewood appendages, eyes crinkling at the corners. “hm.. just for you,” he paused, bringing a hand to cup your cheek. “i’d be willing to allow all of your suggestions. however, dawn is not far off.” the general warned, tracing his thumb over your warm skin. “we’d better get started.”
leaning into his cold, yet soothing hand, you allowed yourself to enjoy his touch for only a moment before letting out a tiny gasp. “you are so right. i should have infiltrated your apartment much sooner.” you concluded, pulling away to slip your fingers through the crevices of his pale ones. “it seems we have four hours at best and many, many kisses in dire need of compensation.. think you can handle this job, SOLDIER?”
though he knew the answer already, sephiroth fed into the silly act and made a contemplative sound, tapping a finger on his chin. “it will be a great feat, but i would not be a SOLDIER first if i could not accomplish this for my beloved.” he answered finally, smiling at the way you beamed up at him. did you always have to be so adorable?
“great! then it’s settled,” you giggled, tugging him forward. “to the bedroom we go!”
and to the bedroom you both went, laughter echoing all the way to the threshold where you fell back onto the collection of pillows with a bright grin.
the feline eyed male was quick to fill the spot beside you, pulling your body into the shape of his own as his nose buried into the crook of your neck.
kisses were peppered in his wake, snickers eliciting from your lips at the moonlight colored strands brushing over the curve of your cheek. it was utter bliss, being in his arms as you were, the signature rose and vanilla clinging to the air surrounding you both. somehow it was more prominent than normal; perhaps he had washed his hair after arriving home. either way, the scent put you at complete ease, as always.
“comfortable?” velvet cut through the silence, a gentle murmur against your ear.
you couldn’t help your giddiness at his affections, smiling like a teenager in love as you nuzzled against him. “incredibly, i’m about to have the best sleep ever.”
bemused, sephiroth shifted to tuck your head underneath his chin, allowing his eyes to flutter shut. “truly? well, i’m happy that i can provide you with such. i’ll certainly be sleeping nicely tonight as well.” a slumber devoid of the usual nightmares? with his beloved? he’d take it any day, no matter the timeframe in which you ask.
“good,” you muttered back, pressing your lips to his collarbone as your legs tangled with his own. “i want you to rest well too, i know it’s been harder as of late.. so i, y’know, wanna accommodate as best as i can.”
for a moment he fell quiet, though his arms- they spoke volumes of gratitude when they tightened just slightly around your form.
eventually, he found his voice again. “thank you, my love.”

Who Said What in the Cut Romance Post Fade-Prison Dialogues
So I couldn't stop thinking about the cut dialogues from what I assume is a data dive that @merrinla posted. I wanted to take a swing at figuring out who each line belongs to.
First: Why it was cut
My best guess as to why this was cut is maybe there was supposed to be another quest between the fade prison and the final battle against Elgar'nan. Maybe the possible cut rescue quest that people have speculated about? Anyway, I think that having this dialogue, then the quest, then the bow-chika-wow romance scene, then the final quest would have made for good pacing, but who knows 🤷‍♀️
Opening Dialogue
Rook: Solas? (?): We're not sure. Probably searching for some way to defeat Elgar'nan. (?): We don't know. Not really. We were so busy looking for you we… lost track.
I think that these two (?) lines have to be between Emmrich and Lucanis for logistical reasons (i.e., the only three that are definitely going to be in the party/Lighthouse after Tearstone Island are Emmrich, Lucanis and Taash, but these dialogues just... aren't written in Taash's voice lol).
[Paraphrase] option: It's been two weeks. Rook: I was… what? Two weeks? option: A two-week long day. Rook: Apparently my hard day lasted two weeks.
My thoughts about this: the first option is probably the crying/empathetic option or thumbs up/agreeable option, and the second one is obviously the purple option. I wonder if a stoic/stern or otherwise third option would have been added or is buried in the data somewhere?
LI Worries About Rook
(?): Yes, you were gone two weeks. Which means you need rest, food, and water.
My assumption is that this is the dialogue that the player gets if the player hasn't romanced anyone. This has got to be Lucanis. Here's my reasoning: one, again, for logistics, the best choice for this line is between Emmrich, Taash, and Lucanis. This is not written in Taash's voice, and while I could see this as something Emmrich might say, it fits Lucanis so well. He is the mom of the group, and already is coded as Rook's BFF even in a non-romance playthrough, and the quick-to-the-chase attitude works for him, I think.
(Emmrich?): Yes, my love. Which is why you shouldn't rush out just yet.
I agree that this is mostly likely Emmrich's line. It seems like the logistic-safe companion dialogue options are placed first in this list, which makes sense, and Emmrich is notorious for his terms of endearment for Rook.
(?): Enough of this. You need food and rest. We'll talk business later.
I think this is Lucanis. This is Lucanis's way of caring for a romanced Rook-- making sure they are fed and taken care of. Plus, it leads into the follow-up line well (see below).
(Taash?): Yeah. So you need rest. We can talk about the other crap later. Davrin: We'll talk about this later. You need some rest and Assan needs feeding.
Yeah, this is definitely Taash and Davrin.
(?): Everyone please stop. Rook needs rest, and… food, probably…
So, with Davrin we're getting into the list of characters who are not logistically safe. That means this one is likely Bellara: the tone fits a shaken Bellara who has just lost Rook AND Neve, and also fits the clear followup well (see below).
(?): Yeah. A lot happened. But it can wait. Until you've had some rest. (?): Yeah. There's a lot to catch up on. After you rest, anyway.
If my guesses are right so far, that means this is either Neve or Harding. These last two lines could really fit either of them. I think that the slightly more hesitant tone of the latter one makes it fit Harding better.
LI Follow Up
Rook: Thanks, Bellara. Bellara: Of course. I'm here for you. Whenever you're ready.
This one is why the "everyone stop" line seems like Bellara's to me. Rook has got to be overwhelmed and hungry and exhausted after everything, and is thanking Bellara for noticing that.
Rook: Lucanis… Lucanis: Go get some sleep before you collapse. If anybody knows how bad that is, it's me.
This Lucanis follow up is why I think his line is the "enough of this" one. Again, he is putting Rook's wellbeing first-- which, is also SO sweet for "crow-always-puts-the-contract-first" Lucanis. Ugh!
Rook: Taash… Taash: You need rest. I'll make you tea. Do you want ginger or lavender? Rook: Emmrich, I can't… Emmrich: Please. For the sake of one who's missed your company.
These are quite obvious and fit the preceding lines well, and are both equally sweet and caring. I love them!!
Rook: Rest? There's so much… (?): There always is. Don't worry. I won't start without you.
Rook: I can't rest, there's too much— (?): Who knows you best?
I'm tossing these back and forth between Neve and Davrin. I'm assuming the first one is Davrin: because what would anyone else be starting? So I'm thinking it's Davrin talking about feeding Assan? LOL. And the second one feels like Neve, best detective in Minrathous.
Rook: But there's so much to— (?): Please, Rook. For me.
This leaves the last one to be Harding. But it could easily fit any of the companions, really.
Player Dialogue Choice
option: Then let's all take a break. Rook: Everything you've done, you all deserve a rest as much as I do. option: Not too long Rook: The gods can wait a little while longer. Rook: Not for too long. But fine, I'll go rest. And hey, it's nice of you to care.
I would guess the paraphrases here are for the thumbs up/agreeable choice and the second is the stoic/stern one. The "hey, it's nice of you to care" is probably coded to happen no matter which choice, because of the next lines:

These all seem to be written to occur no matter who is romanced, because of Taash's:
(?): You're quite welcome.
Polite, well-mannered speech? Yup, it's Emmrich.
Davrin (?): Assan will be happy to see you.
Definitely Davrin.
(?): It didn't feel right with you gone.
This feels like something Bellara would say, especially with how emotional she already is in this scene.
(?): Yep. What they said.
I'm stuck on this one between Taash and Harding. One on hand, the clippy, aloof attitude seems like Taash. But the little "Yep" could be Harding, too.
(?): It's good to have you back. (?): I'm so glad we got you back. (?): Rest well, Rook.
That leaves these three a toss-up between Neve, Lucanis, and Harding/Taash. If the "yep" is Harding, I think the "it's good to have you back" would fit Taash, and since the theme of Lucanis's lines here seem to be focused on sleeping, the "rest well" may work for him.
(?): I'll see you in a bit.
This is probably a catch-all line for all companions to say depending on who's romanced.

He nods, seemingly satisfied with the conversation. He stalks out that night in search of prey, and you’re left lying alone in the bed wondering where it had all gone wrong. The act of letting him feed on you had been the first step to bonding with him. Like a feral cat, Astarion found himself slowly growing closer to the one who provided him sustenance without asking for anything in return. Eventually, he’d allowed you to even touch him while he did it, running your fingers through his hair and clinging onto his shoulders. Then came the night he’d taken too much. You hadn’t even been angry with him over it. You’d blamed yourself for not letting him know in time. As you’d laid in your bed roll shivering from the cold brought on by blood loss, he’d even tried to hold despite knowing his cold skin wouldn’t offer much help. 
The nights pass with each of you alone until one night when he’s preparing to venture out once more, you grab his hand. Your eyes are desperately peering into his, trying to convey all of the feelings you struggle to say out loud. 
“Stay,” you whisper.

“Please,” you whine and tug on his hand with enough strength that he almost drops back into bed beside you. “Just one night, please. I’ll bring you a rabbit or something tomorrow. Please. Just stay.”

Revisiting population size in the Wizarding World
So, I wrote about this subject in the past (here and here), and I was of the belief the Wizarding World is pretty small (~300 students at Hogwarts, ~6,200 wizards in the UK). However, I wanted to challenge my own notion with book evidence that there are more students at Hogwarts in Harry's time, working under the assumption that there are more students in Harry's year we just never hear about.
I was somewhat inspired by this post by @perilousraven that calculated the capacity of the coaches that take the students up to the school. As I wanted to revisit my estimates on the wizarding population and Hogwarts population anyway, I decided to calculate the capacity of the Hogwarts Express to see if it matches the stagecoaches' capacity. Plus bringing up book evidence that my estimate for the Hogwarts population was low but I was correct about the size of the overall wizard population due to their distribution by age being different than in my earlier posts (a case of the "math was wrong but the result was right-ish").
So, let's start with evidence that there are more than 280 students at Hogwarts:
“No more’n four to a boat!” Hagrid called, pointing to a fleet of little boats sitting in the water by the shore.

4 in a boat for 40 students will be 10 little boats. I'm not sure if Harry would call that a "fleet". Technically it could be considered a fleet, but I think there would be more boats for Harry to refer to it as a "fleet".
They followed Professor McGonagall across the flagged stone floor. Harry could hear the drone of hundreds of voices from a doorway to the right — the rest of the school must already be here

Professor McGonagall led the first years up here, so that they came to a halt in a line facing the other students, with the teachers behind them. The hundreds of faces staring at them looked like pale lanterns in the flickering candlelight.

Harry left the castle and set off in the dusk toward the Quidditch field. He’d never been inside the stadium before. Hundreds of seats were raised in stands around the field so that the spectators were high enough to see what was going on.

But it was too late. A rumble, as though of distant thunder, told them that the feast had just ended. From either end of the corridor where they stood came the sound of hundreds of feet climbing the stairs, and the loud, happy talk of well-fed people; next moment, students were crashing into the passage from both ends.

It felt like an immensely long walk; the top table didn’t seem to be getting any nearer at all, and he could feel hundreds and hundreds of eyes upon him, as though each were a searchlight.

He was falling through cold blackness, spinning furiously as he went, and then — He was standing in the middle of the Great Hall, but the four House tables were gone. Instead, there were more than a hundred smaller tables, all facing the same way, at each of which sat a student, head bent low, scribbling on a roll of parchment. The only sound was the scratching of quills and the occasional rustle as somebody adjusted their parchment. It was clearly exam time.

more than a hundred seats, but they are both fifth and seventh years:
Once breakfast was over, the fifth and seventh years milled around in the entrance hall while the other students went off to lessons. Then, at half-past nine, they were called forward class by class to reenter the Great Hall, which was now arranged exactly as Harry had seen it in the Pensieve when his father, Sirius, and Snape had been taking their O.W.L.s. The four House tables had been removed and replaced instead with many tables for one, all facing the staff-table end of the Hall where Professor McGonagall stood facing them.

So the over a hundred we see above in SWM is both seventh and sixth years, meaning each year in the Mauraders' generation is about 70 students, so then we'd have ~110-120 students in the Great Hall in the exam in SWM. Since not all 7th-years are taking the NEWT exam in DADA, I assume most of these students are 5th-years.
“I would like each of you to place yourselves now so that you have a clear five feet of space in front of you.” There was a great scrambling and jostling as people separated, banged into each other, and ordered others out of their space. The Heads of Houses moved among the students, marshaling them into position and breaking up arguments. “Harry, where are you going?” demanded Hermione. But Harry did not answer; he was moving quickly through the crowd, past the place where Professor Flitwick was making squeaky attempts to position a few Ravenclaws, all of whom wanted to be near the front, past Professor Sprout, who was chivying the Hufflepuffs into line, until, by dodging around Ernie Macmillan, he managed to position himself right at the back of the crowd, directly behind Malfoy, who was taking advantage of the general upheaval to continue his argument with Crabbe, standing five feet away and looking mutinous.
(HBP) - when the 6th years are taking the apparition exam they are a considerable crowd
When Harry describes the Great Hall or a crowd of the entire school, he's talking in the hundreds. The above phrasing would be odd if the "hundreds" talked about are 3 max. So, the implication is that there are more students, probably not a thousand, but closer to it.
Now, I wanted to know what number of students we're talking about, so I could have an estimate of the population size. There are two available avenues:
A hundred horseless carriages stood waiting for them outside the station. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Neville climbed gratefully into one of them, the door shut with a snap, and a few moments later, with a great lurch, the long procession of carriages was rumbling and splashing its way up the track toward Hogwarts Castle.

A hundred (or over a hundred in PoA) coaches to the school only for the older years, plus the boats for the first years. In the post I linked above from perilousraven calculated the capacity would be for 700 students or more at the school (I think the estimate of the older, smaller coaches is probably closer to the case in the books and would work with what the Hogwarts Express would allow).
But I wanted to look at the Hogwarts Express, as well, to see if we get a different number of students or if we're around the same estimates since the train should have all students, including first-years traveling by it:
They struggled off down the corridor, peering through the glass-paneled doors into the compartments they passed, which were already full. Harry could not help noticing that a lot of people stared back at him with great interest and that several of them nudged their neighbors and pointed him out. After he had met this behavior in five consecutive carriages he remembered that the Daily Prophet had been telling its readers all summer what a lying show-off he was. He wondered bleakly whether the people now staring and whispering believed the stories. In the very last carriage, they met Neville Longbottom

So we have at least 6 passenger carriages (potentially more if we're talking about a newer 20th-century steam engine, which I assume we are since the earlier Victorian ones only had up to four carriages).
Now, there might be a 7th perfect carriage:
“We’re — well — Ron and I are supposed to go into the prefect carriage,” Hermione said awkwardly.

But earlier Percy mentions Prefect compartments:
“Can’t stay long, Mother,” he said. “I’m up front, the prefects have got two compartments to themselves — ”

So, we have at least 6 regular carriages and another carriage just for the prefects' compartments and the large compartment Slughorn used for the slug club (possibly he used a prefect compartment, as I assume that first car is designed differently).
(I will note the prefects have a place to sit on the train (Ron and Hermione rejoin Harry later in OotP) and we see Lupin has a place to sleep on the train in PoA:
This had only one occupant, a man sitting fast asleep next to the window. Harry, Ron, and Hermione checked on the threshold.

Although the train is apparently "full":
Harry, Ron, and Hermione set off down the corridor, looking for an empty compartment, but all were full except for the one at the very end of the train.

So, while all compartments are usually in use, there are likely quite a few that aren't completely full but still don't have a place for 3 more students.
Now, the number of carriages varied a lot throughout the years. The early steam engines that were around when the Hogwarts Express was first established (circa the 1830s) were weak and the trains were pretty small, only carrying at most 4 smaller carriages most of the time (either when the Hogwarts Express was established there were way fewer students or there was more than one train). In the early 20th century we see Express trains with stronger engines (such as the Flying Scotsman) that would regularly carry 8-12 carriages but could carry up to 14 on busier days. So, let's say the Hogwarts Express has 13 regular carriages and another prefect carriage that isn't part of this calculation for the reasons mentioned above.
Each carriage is divided into compartments with 6 people fitting per compartment:
Too soon, it was time for the journey home on the Hogwarts Express. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, and Ginny got a compartment to themselves.

Which lands us with 7 compartments per carriage. That being said, as Harry says this:
Firstly, Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle, who had clearly been waiting all week for the opportunity to strike without teacher witnesses, attempted to ambush Harry halfway down the train as he made his way back from the toilet.

This implies only the first carriage has a toilet (the prefect carriage), which seems weird to me since you have a few hundred students on that train for around 9 hours. But, the books imply there is only one toilet at the first carriage (maybe it's more than one stall. I hope it's more than one stall), so the train cars would look slightly different from the ones above —two more compartments and everything shifted a little to the side to accommodate. There will be one less door leading outside from such a carriage and slightly narrower compartments (which did exist, there were 6-person train compartments that were 6'1 wide instead of the pictured-above 6'6. These cars came with a toilet though so I edited the above picture. Why do they only have a toilet in the first compartment? Makes no sense):

9 compartments * 6 students * 6 cars = 324 for the minimal amount of space for students on the train.
9 compartments * 6 students * 13 cars = 702, which is spot on to the lower stagecoach estimate of about 700 students at max capacity of the train.
Potentially even more seats would be available if the prefects' carriage is sometimes replaced by a regular carriage (with a toilet) when there are more students. This would explain why Percy described two prefect compartments in PS, but in OotP and HBP the prefects have a whole carriage. This extra car will give us space for another 48 students. The fact they needed to remove the prefect carriage in PS to allow more space for students suggests Hogwarts was practically at its full capacity in 1991. (And that in 1995 there were ~50 less students in the school than in 1991)
So, at the maximum capacity (which seems to be the case in most of the books), the train is pretty much in the range of @perilousraven's stagecoach estimate.
So, what does it change about my estimates of the wizarding population? Not much actually.
Let's say there are around 700 students at Hogwarts when Harry is there (700 makes sense, it's 7 and it divides nicely, it's a round and pretty number. A little lower than the stagecoach estimate, but it makes more sense with the train. I actually think for most of his years it's a little less than 700, but I like round numbers):
700 students at the school -> 100 students per year -> 25 students per house per year -> 175 students per house.
(This also means Harry has more of an excuse not to know people in his year)
Which leads to the distribution of the population to be something like this approximation (The percentages are loosely based on 1992 UK population distribution by age, adjusted so there will be higher percentages for 90+ people due to the supposed longer lifespan of wizards and I made the generations born in the 1970s larger in percentage due to the first war's baby boom. Note that the number per house/year is inaccurate in the older generations since they're dying out):

This keeps us at a wizarding population of about 6,000 wizards in the UK and Ireland (in the range of my former estimate of 5,700 - 6,200).
My former estimates were made with an adjusted distribution by age I explained here and here, due to the wars in the wizarding world being a little different from the muggle one, but I think that former distribution is wrong. I disagree with my past self on that, hence why I'm making this post and will edit a link to it in the relevant former theories. I came to the conclusion Harry's generation is actually one of the larger ones and that their population is younger. After all, most of his grandparents' generation is dead. The 1980s came right after Voldemort's defeat — so it's likely it brought a baby boom with it. Additionally in the 1970s (especially the latter half), we see couples marrying young and having children young (Arthur & Molly, James & Lily, probably Frank & Alice, and others) and we see this pattern of marrying during the war happening again in 1997-1998. So, I think the war years will also come with a baby boom compared to the generation of the Mauraders. Which, all in all, is closer to irl UK population distribution in the early 1990s.
So, my estimate now is still at around 6,000 wizards in the UK and Ireland (a bit less than 0.01% of the population) in the 1990s and 700 of them are at school with Harry since his generation is actually the largest one presently.
(Unfortunately, this changes some of my older percentages and estimates. It means that less than 5% of wizards in the UK are muggleborn and that below 12% of students get Os in most OWL exams, for example. Though, luckily the population remains in my former estimate range so it doesn't change everything. So I might slowly go back to add edit comments. I'm not planning to rewrite them for now, but just to add a little comment about this.)

Since I know AUs arent everyone's cup of tea I'll put my answer below the cut, and also because there's definitely some implied sexual activity. If you don't want to see more of this then block the 'hotd supernatural!au' tag.
So for those of you that missed the first ask, this is in reference to an idea someone had with the supernatural!au where the reader is a vampire and while everyone else is scared of them, Aegon is just head over heels in love. Yes you're extremely dangerous, he knows this and he only loves you even more. When he first meets you, you end up having a one night stand with him. You had planned on finding someone to feed on that night but you didnt, because he was far too sweet to ask that of him. The next morning you try to leave because you're in dire need of a feed and Aegon refuses to let you go because he had the best time and he just holds out his wrist for you to drink from.
Your relationship with Aegon flourishes from there. At first you just sneak into the castle and fuck him, because you can't deny how irresistible wrecking him is. He always waits up for you, and the moment you walk through the door he jumps your bones, always desperate and needy no matter how much you fuck him.
Pretty soon he's asking you to spend more and more time there, and it becomes second nature for him to just gently tilt his head to the side or hold out his wrist for you. He finds that he loves the feeling, the slight pain when you bite down, the feeling when you suck lightly, and then the way you always lick over the bite marks for them to heal better. It actually relaxes him so much? He loves it. His favourite position is sitting across your lap, letting you drink your fill and then snuggling up against you, drifting in and out of sleep and requesting kisses.
You enjoy feeding from him as well of course, and you always make sure to thank him and make sure he knows that. However, you still operate under the assumption that he's doing you a favour. He obviously enjoys sleeping with you and spending time with you, so you think that him allowing you to drink from him is his way of thanking you for the things he likes doing with you. You never consider that letting you feed from him was something he actually wanted, enjoyed even.
You first discover this after you a very busy week where you werent able to visit Aegon once. There were only two nights that you were free and both times when you went to the keep you could see there was no light in Aegon's window meaning he was either somewhere else or already asleep. the next few days you don't have the time to stop by.
By that point you didnt enjoy feeding from others. If given the choice you would always choose Aegon, but clearly he was busy so you went and found some others. You drank your fill and then the next night you went to the keep and saw the light in Aegon's room.
Needless to say, he's overjoyed to see you. He jumps right into your arms, not even letting you finish greeting him before he's kissing you and pulling you into the bed. You expect him to immediately want sex, but instead he's kissing you gently and giggling and telling you about his week. You pull him closer and listen, taking his hand and tangling your fingers together.
Aegon starts telling you about something Alicent wants of him and as he talks, he raise his hand, wrist up towards you. You smile at him and press a kiss to his palm before gently pushing it away, explaining to him that you fed the night before so he doesn't need to do that.
You expect him to relax then, but no, he actually gets upset? He frowns and sits upright in bed, tilting his head to the side and asking why you'd do that. You ask what he means and he repeats himself, saying that he doesn't understand why you would have fed from someone else.
You explain to him that you hadnt fed in a few days and you needed to. You tell him that you did come to check if he was available but you could see he wasnt so you went to find someone else. This only makes him cuddle closer and apologise for not being there, telling you that you could have stayed in his room until he returned. He even offers you a key so you can get in easier.
You try to tell him that he doesn't need to do that because you can always find someone else, but this only makes him sit up from you again and seem upset. You have coax it out of him, but he eventually explains that he really likes when you feed from him and he doesn't like the idea of you doing that with anyone else.
You chuckle and bring him closer, asking him if he wants to be the only one you feed from and he nods. You try to explain why that wouldnt work, why he shouldn't be offering you that much because it could weaken him, he just tells you that he doesn't need to be strong because he has a vampire to protect him.
Which... you can't really argue with that.

Frostheim Ghouls with a sassy gn! MC (+ tiny drabble)

Personally, I think Jin would be surprised by their sass. It would piss him off for sure, but I think he'd find it refreshing....after a while. He don't take shit from anybody especially not some New 'honor student', certainly not at first but I think there's some heart under all that royal ice. He'd get used to it in his own way. (Now onto a short drabble.)
Jin glared daggers at his phone. He reread the message the new 'Inspector' sent him, only getting more annoyed with each glance. He had ordered the Inspector to come to his room. Not only did they take their sweet ass time to respond but they had the nerve to tell him that 'they were busy'. He was the king damnit! He had better things to do than wait for them to decide to text back or show up. He quickly sent a message to Tohma to check on them, make sure they didn't do something stupid again with the second year Ghouls. He ignored Tohma's smart-ass response in favor of laying back down. Having to bail out that damn Inspector was starting to be a real pain in the ass. He'd always come when things got rough however, not that he would admit it.
TOHMA ISHIBASHI
God! I think Tohma has been WAITING for someone to try him. He is a sass master and a known smart-ass. He KNOWS how to throw whatever sass MC gives him right back at them with flair. Even if they get along, he will always find some way to sass them back, even if it's subtle. (Drabble time!)
Tohma's practiced smile didn't falter for a moment when MC told him they knew how to play chess. If anything, it got even wider. He sat back up straight in his chair and gestured to the board, saying,
"Please do forgive my assumption. You have the starting move."
MC was no master at chess, but they knew the rules at the very least, so they thought it wouldn't be that hard....how wrong they were. In only a short while, Tohma had them in check, having quite a few of their pieces and even their queen. MC looked down at the board in shock, they looked back up at Tohma, his smile still present as he said,
"Forgive me. I thought you said you knew how to play,"
KAITO FUJI
I feel like Kaito's granny forced fed him some respect people soup every day when he was growing up, so I don't think sass would shock him that much until it was pointed at him. He gets SHOOK whenever gets sassed by MC, no matter how many times it happens. He always apologizes profusely, berating himself for being a moron out loud. He just really wants to get with MC and if being sassed is the price, mans will do his best to pay it, but he will blame someone else if he can get away with it. (To the drabble!)
Kaito went pale at MC's tone, he didn't mean to talk for them. Damn Luca couldn't read the room. He wanted to have lunch alone with MC but Luca had to butt in and tag along. When MC yelled at him he felt like a kid getting scolded by his Granny again. He took a breath and crossed his arms, apologizing to Luca. He turned to MC apologizing for speaking for them. Offering to buy them another crepe to make it up to them. In his mind however, he was already deciding his next move for anoyher chance.
LUCAS ERRANT "LUCA"
My best boy! (I'm not biased i swear/j) I honestly think MC would be more sarcastic than sassy to Luca. He's just doing his best and he wants his bro back. He 100% doesn't get social cues so it goes right over his head or he just takes it literally. He'll genuinely apologize for making them upset. He will also a deep bow and a small pack of biscuits as an extra layer to his apology. (QUICK ROBIN! TO THE DRABBLE!)
Luca paused, looking back at MC. It took him a moment to think about what they said, but even then, he didn't quite understand what they meant. He turned to them, asking,
"Did something I say upset you?"
Luca bowed deeply, keeping his head down as he said,
"If that is the case, then I apologize. If I ever say something insensitive again, please correct me. I hope you can forgive me."
He held out a small pack of biscuits with both hands, keeping his head down until either MC took the biscuits, accepted his apology, or explained that they weren't actually upset.
(There you have it folks. Honestly Kaito's is the weakest, I'm sorry. But someone's gotta start the headcanon train!)

Ok, so I just rewrote everything I wanted to discuss regarding the new video of Jimin working on MUSE, WHO, and SGMB as I felt it’d be easier than sending multiple asks with my questions!
I wanted to know what your thoughts were about the video and album overall, as well as with these parts where Jimin goes into detail a little more about two of the songs’ concepts.
I’m confused if the album as a whole is conceptual, or just the tracks Jimin wrote and WHO is the truth. Is this album about finding love or Jimin’s inspiration and creative process?
And what does that mean in terms for Jimn and Jikook?
I know people (antis) are going on about pronouns, but honestly I already think Jimin is queer or bisexual, so writing a love song about a woman or with female pronouns doesn’t negate that (especially since we’ve seen a version where the lyrics were gender neutral). Until Jimin outright says he has never and will never have romantic feelings towards a man, I’m under the assumption that he may be bisexual (regardless of if he wants a male or female partner).
However Jimin talking about looking for love and not experiencing that, does make me question Jikook if this album is supposed to be speaking from Jimin’s personal experiences and/or thoughts.
I included the parts of dialogue (sorry if I missed something 😅) that lead to these thoughts and/or questions, and it would be wonderful if you could help explain it more, or at least your thoughts on it. I know you’re not Jimin nor did you work with him on MUSE, so obviously you don’t know exactly what it means or conveys.
I’m not taking your word as the truth either, this isn’t the cult lol, just that there’s been many times where your posts help me with the understanding of topics: BTS, Jimin, JK, Jikook, ect!
And of course whatever Jimin says matters more to me!

JM: This album has a lot of cheerful songs. But I wanted to try a different approach for just the title track. There will be a lot of fun songs.
JM: It was harder to write the lyrics this time. I had to pretend to go through experiences I haven’t had before. I’ll explain it one by one in more detail later.
JB (Jon): *interpreting Jimin’s ideas* I’d like to fall in love. I wanna, I’ll do what it takes to fall in love. I still don’t feel it, so what is my heart waiting for?
JM (Through the Translator): It’s just a bit sentimental, so it doesn’t get too intense like, “Where is she?” It doesn’t get too depressing.
JM: It’s not supposed to be sad or anything.
Translator: He’s not like, not too deep into it. He’s like “this is what I’m feeling right now”.
JM: It’s kind of embarrassing to explain emotions. It feels like someone found my diary.
Translator: Thank you for explaining everything so honestly.
JM: My ears are red. *touches ears*
JM: I’ve poured all my emotions into this, so I was very embarrassed just now. Even though they just wanted to ask about the story I wanted to tell. It’s just, everyone…. *laughs*
JM: Everyone’s just living alone, right? That’s what it is.
Working on SGMB
Producer: If the album is going to be all about expressing the process, we could just go all out conceptual.
Producer: I thought we could do a story with a specific concept, and I thought it’d be great if we chose a name for a band.
Producer: For those who aren’t able to express their love themselves, we’ll express it for them. That’s the kind of band we are. That’s the kind of concept we’ll have.
Loco: I’d never heard of a “smeraldo” before, so I looked it up. It’s a flower, I saw its meaning in the language of flowers. One of the related search terms was BTS. So there was some kind of a connection. So I thought, “Wow, I should come today to hear the explanation”. I found it really interesting, that’s why.
Loco: How do we express the true feelings of someone who couldn’t express it themselves?
Producer: Yeah that’s it.
Loco: This is how we should try to think about it.
JM: I thought of you while making this song….
Loco: It’s so good.

Let's take it bit by bit?

When I made my posts about Muse as an album in its entirety, it was technically before this video, but nothing said in that behinds video changed any of my thoughts. MMM gave us enough of an insight already that nothing else really surprised me from what he said, if that makes sense. Other than seeing the original lyrics were gender neutral. While not a surprise per say, that definitely wasn't indicated anywhere before. Idk if you saw my thoughts, opinions and theories over Muse already, but if not, please read that post here:

I’m confused if the album as a whole is conceptual, or just the tracks Jimin wrote and WHO is the truth. Is this album about finding love or Jimin’s inspiration and creative process?
Personally I believe that the album as a whole is conceptual. Jimin pretty much stated that it was in MMM. Conceptual doesn't mean falsehoods though either. I mention this in further detail in my muse post above as well. So really, please do go read that. I think that this is more about Jimin's inspiration and creative process. And it's about love. ❤️🥰 These things can coexist!
Pdogg even just recently said: "His previous album was designed to be deeply personal, but the new one is more abstract and isn’t strictly about Jimin alone. The whole thing’s also in line with what Millennials and Gen Z experience when they fall in love."

And what does that mean in terms for Jimn and Jikook?
Short answer: Nothing.
Longer answer: Still nothing. I know it's not really the answer you or probably anyone else or any of the antis who sent me asks about this topic, wanted. But it's the one I've got for you. As much as I thoroughly love and enjoy finding the Jikook coincidences and connections in everything. Istg I promise I do. I can be just as delulu as the rest of them. But it's really important that we ALL remember to see, recognize and enjoy their artistic integrity and messages without thinking it automatically has to do with each other or their relationship (whatever it may be, and yes this is still valid even if they are for sure dating each other romantically too).
Jimin talking about making an album that expresses the desire for love, feelings of crushes, wanting to be with the one, etc... doesn't actually mean that's the state of his current life. It doesn't even technically mean that's what he wants if he is single. I AM NOT SAYING THESE THINGS ARE TRUE OR EVEN WHAT I THINK. Just options, because we don't actually know anything about Jimin's life other than what he chooses to share. Personally, nothing he said in that behinds video, the MMM video or any other behinds content for Muse has made me rethink my Jikook opinions. But thats just me, and I don't blame anyone for ever changing their mind about anything. I just think years upon years of sharing things with us and behavior doesn't change based off him explaining the emotions and concept he is going for while working with other artists on his album.

I know people (antis) are going on about pronouns, but honestly I already think Jimin is queer or bisexual, so writing a love song about a woman or with female pronouns doesn’t negate that (especially since we’ve seen a version where the lyrics were gender neutral). Until Jimin outright says he has never and will never have romantic feelings towards a man, I’m under the assumption that he may be bisexual (regardless of if he wants a male or female partner).
I too, am under this impression and fully agree with you here. It's always nice when I agree with pieces of anon essays 🥰😄💜

However Jimin talking about looking for love and not experiencing that, does make me question Jikook if this album is supposed to be speaking from Jimin’s personal experiences and/or thoughts.
I included the parts of dialogue (sorry if I missed something 😅) that lead to these thoughts and/or questions, and it would be wonderful if you could help explain it more, or at least your thoughts on it. I know you’re not Jimin nor did you work with him on MUSE, so obviously you don’t know exactly what it means or conveys.

Also sorry, I'm not copy and posting all those quotes, this post is long enough as it is, but I super appreciate you taking the time to type them all out for me. I will preemptively add this one from the most recently weverse article though before someone else sends it to me in an ask lol:

So let's just sort of break this down in general and all the quotes together if you don't mind.
1. Irregardless of a relationship with Jungkook, true or not. Jimin is an idol, he isn't going to be announcing a relationship until he is married. And maybe not even then if he keeps it under wraps until he is retired. And if he ever has to announce a relationship, it's never going to be through a love song and explaining he drew inspiration from a partner. It's always going to be "love, what's that?" "Oh we are all always single for now." "Haha oh armys are my girlfriend." And if he ever gets forced into admitting to and claiming a relationship, its going to come with an apology and an ask for understanding. Which really fucking sucks, but that's a different conversation entirely. And it's the reality that idols live with. Take it up with the industry and the fans.
2. If Jimin is queer, like you and I both suspect that he is, he is closeted. And will remain so probably until he is at least retired and/or maybe after that too. Hinting at, making vague remarks about it, etc, is not and never will be coming out. So all those points from #1 above, double it and count it worse for this one. If he is queer, Jimin will be sticking to that "what is love, I'm perpetually single" line all that much harder as a matter of safety probably. I mean and who knows, I'm not Jimin.
3. Jimin is working off a concept, a storyline and a following a major theme and plot that over arches through all his songs in order. He knows the emotions he wants to convey, he knows the general idea. Talking about that is and can be embarrassing. Like someone reading your diary. Lol
4. Taking it back to point 1 again, if Jimin is in a relationship, with regards to being an idol and am ultra world famous one at that, AND adding in the potential possibility of that being a queer relationship.... In what world do you think that the (hypothetical or otherwise) relationship would be one that went through any kind of normal courtship, confession, romance meet cute story? Lol for all we know, his experience with love and relationships look different than the story he was trying to tell, which was much more storybook idealistic. Or for all we know, he is single and just has hook ups and has never been in love. We don't know for sure, and that's okay. We aren't entitled to Jimin's private life.
5. In specific regards to "we are all living alone right" that one feels like explaining his album concept, not his life. To me at least. As was Loco talking about how to explain the feelings of someone who couldn't express it themselves, that was the literal concept of the song for SMGB.

And to conclude all my points above, in my personal OPINIONS, Jimin isn't going to share his love life in any type of way with his fans. He was preemptively apologizing for touching a female dancer to his fans. He knows his fans won't allow him the luxury of love. He knows he isn't allowed the luxury of queerness either, not from his country nor his fans for the most part either. The homophobia I get in my ask box is proof enough. I personally think everything Jimin and JK have said through the years and their actions throughout the years have shown me that there is probably something more leaning towards romantic attraction there, and I feel like it's very probably that they acted upon that. In a conventional way or not, who knows. Only jikook. But I don't think anything from these conversations has proven anything otherwise. But of course, anyone is free to disagree with that and think differently.

Spoilers for What was and what is, and Fooliverse.
(We will be back to regularly scheduled art after this short Redacted Audios intermission.)
Hello Redacted fandom, good to be back for a blip. And I am back to discuss Vega, as is my M.O. Now, before we start, I would like to add that I am also reworking my Vega masterpost as of now, to be more tonally consistent, and more accurate to the current state of the lore. I am unsure if I will repost it in its entirety or just edit the original post, as the changes are rather substantial. You are free to provide your own thoughts on that matter.
But now, without further adieu, I present my thoughts on Vega with what new information we now have recently received.
So, starting with Fooliverse Vega... it is so nice to me to see Vega so relaxed and... alive, for lack of better term. In the Fooliverse, it appears to me that the Sovereign situation may have resolved much differently. I would hazard to guess, without much evidence, that the Meridian may have already been bolstered, potentially a long time ago. Whether at the end of the Cacophony or in the millennia after. But regardless... it was early enough that Vega appears to have been able to let himself go. He did not have the pressure to remember, to retain strength and knowledge, and he could permit himself to live, to "die", and to change. He allowed himself to remain close to humans, but not because there were few to no Daemons around, but instead of his own nature, and of his own love for them. He could form an opinion of them based not just on what he fed on, but also on what people were in spite of and without the sadism he needed. He has a phone, and keeps up with modern tech, he has a seemingly positive relationship with both his kin, and humanity, and though based on the effects on his voice he still primarily talks telepathically, he may take on more human characteristics. Almost certainly he has a fully human disguise for covert and such.
In short... I really appreciate that side of him we see there. He is still old and wise, still someone who has seen humanity at their worst, and daemonkind also. But he is not burdened by the past, or by any obligation outside of those he gives himself. And for him now, his biggest obligation is helping humans with their emotions, and seemingly having a bit of fun and living life to the fullest. Even if humans are temporary, he clearly values them greatly... perhaps he can find someone like him who can last forever eventually, but still, humanity is a good fit for him. Just as with Imperium. Their fragility and short life compared to him are integral parts of the draw he has to them, and something which prime Vega... could not afford.
And with that topic, I would like to switch to the newest video, and discuss some fun thoughts I had about it. Because it is honestly... quite beautiful the way that his story is treated right now, as much as it is tragic. And now with 2 AUs under my belt to analyse, I feel like I can understand him even better than before.
In the newest video, Vega talks a lot about history. About the sovereigns, and their selfishness, cruelty, and flaws. And this is a given, and a particularly interesting element. I'm very glad that my theory of E'Laetum's hatred for Vega potentially causing events to play out as they did was confirmed in part. Vega only theorises that E'Laetum's memories were imprinted on Hush, but I think it is a very reasonable assumption. That hatred ended up playing out, though the irony is not lost on me that E'Laetum's most hated demon is also probably the single most important part of his plan. I would argue moreso than Hush, and moreso than Blake. Those two are deeply important, yes, but there could be other seers, and even still, without the direction of Vega, the plan as they gave Hush instruction to execute it would likely have had severe long term consequences that they would not have been as able to stop, having another Sovereign to contend with their power in the Meridian.
But what really got me, was when it came to the discussion of memory. Vega mentioning that his memories were surprisingly pristine was a punch to the gut. A show that his hard work was well worth it, but at the same time, is a cruelly sad thing. He believed he had lost many memories, and left many iterations of himself behind in his long life... but he wished he could have left behind more. And now, he both has left behind more, but also clearly showed he left little. It was simply, as he put it, buried so deeply under the weight of millennia that he could not access it. This could also mean some daemons may have the capacity to remember as well, if they experienced a similar clearing of the mind, but likely this would not happen. Nor would it be good to necessarily.
And related to this are other elements of that same topic that Vega discusses. He doesn't know if he wants his memories back... which is fair. He knows clearly that based on them he became a cruel monster, and yet they also hid from him the worst of his traumas that he must now relive in full. And yet also they must have been filled with infinitely more little traumas to have put him off humanity so, and even put him off most of daemon kind, until he saw in Warden a malleable youth he could maybe bring to his side... and then eventually, close to a genuine equal who he cared about, wished to protect, and put above himself, and his mission. Who he knew could not follow in his stead, and who he did not wish to. Who he wished to simply live out what time they had comfortably, without the shadow he cast... he lost so much. For better, and unfortunately for worse. At least as far as Warden is concerned.
And clearly, Warden has taken this roughly. They try to stay strong, stay curious, ask questions and provide answers. But it's very clear that they felt something for Vega. It was clear Vega felt something for them too. I personally see it as queerplatonic or otherwise much different to romantic but of equal depth, but the reading is unimportant. All that is important is that Warden's feelings for Vega were clearly extremely deep, and now they clearly feel conflicted and pained by them. When Vega asks what they were, Warden can only say they were "complicated". When Vega, in this video, asks what made Warden stay, they respond so negatively he backs off the topic... and at the end, his monologue clearly portrays that he can see, feel, taste how Warden must feel. The heartbreak, the fear, the grief. And so he reminds them that the piece of him that made them stay, (that they loved, in whatever way that love presented) was still inside him, and had the capacity to return to him. Just as the parts that they found disquieting. And he asked them to make sure he could be the best him he could by being his check and balance in case he went down unsavoury paths again. It is so intimate and so deeply sad.
Warden has lost a person they cared for more than most anyone, and yet they lost nothing. He remained, better than he was, and still just as dedicated even if he had a harder time with remembering his exact plans, or finding in himself that same dedication that he once had to keep his memories around. He does not call them Warden, or Darling, only Inchoate, and yet he says it with such unique gentleness. He is not so teasing and playful, but he is still so affectionate, but it's different. It's just so different. And they have to find it in themself to accept what he has become, while maybe still hoping that somewhere out there, somehow, he could get back even a fraction of what they had. But that specifically is my interpretation. A Warden both selfless enough to help Vega with all they can, and continue to put aside their life to save the world with him, while also being painfully selfish, wanting back what they once had knowing full well that Vega would suffer for it... but he also suffers from how he is now. He suffers from just being alive and bearing the weight of the world, that he of course would be one to do... it's in his nature, not as a daemon, but as a person. He bears so much on his shoulders because he is strong enough, and Warden can do nothing but support him and hope it's enough, and hope that maybe, someday, things can go back to normal again.
To calm again. That they can be equals again. That Warden does not have to bear the burden so much, and neither does he... but they cannot bring that up now. Or maybe any time soon... because the mission takes priority. And I have a feeling if their relationship is to progress, it likely would much closer to the big final encounter... or perhaps instead after the dust settles, and they are finally free. But I know they will discuss it much sooner. And perhaps things will shift then too, I can be mistaken. We will have to see... and I am so excited to see where their story goes.
I love Vega and Warden with all my heart, whatever comes of them. Though I do hope they can both survive and remain together. That would be nice. I know not all stories deserve or are satisfying with happy endings. But I'd like this one to have one.

Okay so I have an idea for a fluffy Poly!Lost Boys x Reader Oneshot where whether or not Religious Objects work against vampires entirely depends on what Faith the vampire followed as a human. And yes I know thats a facet from Cassandra Clares Shadowhunters Universe (and perhaps others) but I would love to see it applied to The Lost Boys.
The basic rundown is as follows;
Y/n is a relatively new addition to the Lost Boys pack, having joined up after wandering into their territory (Which for the oneshot we'll say is the Boardwalk and Hudson's Bluff, as well as everything in between) already a full vampire, (If you want to impliment some kind of Fated Mates thing by all means go for it) which was maybe 6-8 months ago. Since then the boys have gotten to know their new packmate (or mate) by a fair amount, the only subject Y/n refuses to talk about is religion. Dwayne suspects some kind of religious trauma, and he's partially correct, but he's under the incorrect assumption that it hasn't been addressed or even acknowledged by Y/n.
Marko and Paul, on the other hand, decide to get a little sneaky, and David, genuinely curious himself, just lets them. Thus begin the subtle shenanigans.
The Terror Twins begin leaving seemingly random religious symbols around the cave, trying to see which ones would have a negative effect on Y/n, but Y/n either doesn't notice them or Marko (who I headcanon as a Jewish/Italian Immigrant because Alex Winter is Jewish. Also because I can 100% envision Marko PARKOURING over walls n' shit to evade Nazi Footsoldiers during the Holocaust and laughing while doing so simply to taunt them. Footnote; I stan the Italian Stallion. If you recognize that from Tumblr you are now my new best friend. No you don't get a choice, have a snack and take a seat) and Paul (who isn't Jewish and thus handled the Jewish Symbols because Marko cannot touch them or he risks burning/injuring himself) forgot to include objects accosiated with a particular religious faith or multiple thereof. Dwayne is off in the corner with this 'disappointed dad friend' aura about him directed towards Marko and Paul's less-than subtle shenanigans. David is (maybe) lounging in his wheelchair, but is watching Y/n just as closely, but leagues more subtly than Marko and Paul (as David is a smooth SOB and not a mildly unsophisticated chaos gremlin like Marko nor a rambunctious golden retriever like Paul.)
Eventually Y/n gets fed up with coming across random religious symbols and very lpudly asks what the hell is going on. Before showing immense amusement in some way at the response they get and confusing the four boys even further and divulging that they're an athiest.
The boys are all stunned, before realization sets in, that explains why Y/n is so good at ignoring religious symbols and can even set foot on Hallowed Ground. They're basically a "perfect predator". Prayer and Religious symbolism wont deter them in the slightest.
Y/n is visibly tense, waiting for the boys to either shun or belittle them for their lack of faith, and getting a vastly different response.

Basically its a Regilious Faith -or lack thereof- acceptance/comfort prompt.
If someone wants to make this into a FULLY FLESHED-OUT oneshot or even make it into a series of oneshots or a full story, by all means go right ahead all I ask is that you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tag me in it.

What if, in some circumstances which I cannot even think of, Sanji cannot cook himself and has to tell Zoro what to do.
And Zoro's sword skills are NOT equal to his knife skills 😭
Sanji also would use fancy chef vocabulary to give commands like "now sauté those onions until they're godlen-brown" or something and Zoro's like da fuck's a co-lander. why would you need like 5 different pans.

Zoro swore as the knife slipped again, skidding flat against the chopping board with a dull scrape that made him wince. 
In hindsight, this was all the stupid cook’s fault. Bastard just had to go and break his arm; Sanji had tried to do things one-handed for a while before he’d evidently gotten fed up and stuck his head out the galley door to scream for Zoro to help with lunch at top volume, apparently under the assumption that since Zoro was a master swordsman he’d be able to handle knives.
And by all rights, he should. He was the demon pirate hunter. He carried his best friend’s dream like a talisman in his pocket. He wasn’t going to let himself be bested by a fucking vegetables and a knife.
But Zoro was quite certain that barring his sense of direction, he had never been quite this bad at anything in his entire existence. 
The garlic had been miniscule, the celery had been too fucking slippery, the onions had made his eyes burn, and now this stupid carrot kept trying to run away from him. He could handle rough chops, sure; but when Sanji was being all picky about— 
“I said medium dice, marimo, not mutilate.”
“I don’t know what that fucking means, shithead,” Zoro gritted, not even bothering to turn around where Sanji was sitting at the dining table. He re-aligned the knife and felt inexplicably betrayed when it slipped again, slicing diagonally into the carrot. It was a miracle he hadn’t taken off a finger yet. 
He felt stupid. Awkward and useless and out of his element, it was just cooking, for fuck’s sake—
“Marimo.” 
“What,” he snapped, fingers tightening around a wooden handle. Sanji’s tone had gone soft around the edges and it rankled him, made him feel irrationally angry like a tiger pacing around in its cage, trapped and seething—
“This one’s on me,” Sanji murmured, coming around to hover by his side, something Zoro couldn’t identify in the set of his face. “Shouldn’t have assumed that you’d be good with knives just because you’re good with swords.”
The words sent a wave of panic through Zoro, stomach dropping fast enough that he ran his mouth. A need to please he hadn’t felt since he was a child. Desperation not to disappoint. “Shut the fuck up, I am, I just—” He snapped his jaw shut, pressing his teeth together hard. “Just… Give me a minute to figure it out.”
“You’re already doing better than I was, when I started,” Sanji said lightly, hair falling across his face as he tipped his head. 
“You were a child,” he ground out. The knife clattered as he put it down to shake out his hands. “S’not saying much.” 
The cook hummed, strangely gentle. “Still. It’s alright—”
“I don’t want your pity.”
And, oh. That’s what it was, wasn’t it? Pity. Zoro felt like a dumb kid again, and it was so much worse because it was Sanji. And he didn’t want to think about the implications of that, so he sneered, “Don’t look down on me, shitty cook. You and your fancy-ass cooking terms and your hundred and one pans and—”
Sanji cut him off with a bark of a laugh, tossing his head back. His left arm was immobilised in a sling, tucked close to his body as he moved behind Zoro and reached around him to pick the knife up again. “Your brains must really be full of moss if you think I’m looking down on you. Come on.” He offered Zoro the handle, and the swordsman didn’t need to look to know that Sanji was smiling over his shoulder. “One last try.”
He worked his jaw for a second, and huffed through his nose. “I fucking swear, curly, if I get cut—”
“You won’t,” Sanji replied, resolute as he watched Zoro take the knife. 
“How do you know?”
“Because you’re not stupid and I’m not careless, especially not with you.” 
The last part had been a little quieter, riding on a rushed breath, and Zoro eyed the cook pensively as slender fingers wrapped around his hand.
“Here. Like this.” 
With Sanji’s help, he cut the carrot into lengthwise sticks and then neat cubes, chopping up a few more before dumping the whole lot into a bowl with most of what he’d already cut. Sanji shifted away, poking a chopstick into the oil he’d left to heat.
“See the bubbles?” he murmured, peering down into the pot. “That’s how you check if it’s hot enough.” He twisted one of the knobs down before grabbing the vegetables and dumping them in, shifting the pieces around with a wooden spatula as they sizzled gently. “This is a mirepoix,” he said, pronouncing it meer-pwah. “It forms the flavour base of a lot of dishes. The aim is to use low heat, cook it down really slow— so that it doesn’t burn and you bring out the sweetness.” 
He was speaking softly enough that it could have been to himself, but the commentary was obviously for Zoro’s benefit, and Zoro. Did not like how that was making him feel at all. 
They were quiet for a while as Sanji did his thing, and the swordsman crossed his arms as he leaned his hip against the counter. The sun filtering in through the window was lighting Sanji’s hair up gold, washing his features in a subtle glow that emphasised the softness of his expression, relaxed and so entirely in his element that it made Zoro’s chest ache. Made something press up beneath his lungs, made it hard to breathe, and it ached.
Impervious to his inner turmoil, Sanji continued, stirring frequently as the galley started to smell really good. “When the onion turns translucent, that’s the sweet spot—” The chopped (more mushed, if Zoro was inclined to be honest) garlic from earlier went in with a vicious sizzle, then a few dashes of different sauces and a good pour of chicken stock. “Could you get the black pepper?” 
Zoro grunted, grabbing the grinder from the corner and putting a few good cracks into the pot as Sanji added salt, stirred one last time, and propped the lid on partway. “That’s it?” 
“That’s it,” Sanji confirmed, smirking, but not unkindly. “Once that simmers down it’ll be our soup, and I’ll just have to cook some noodles. I was planning for mussels in a garlic butter white wine reduction and seared scallops with this delicious spiced pomegranate and herb glaze, but— I think that might have killed you.” Something must have shown on Zoro’s face, because the cook laughed, bright and easy. “You did good, marimo, all things considered. I’d probably be horrid at sword fighting. We’re even.”
Zoro scowled, fighting back against the spark that flared in the depths of his chest at that thought. Sparring with Sanji, in his element, giving the cook shit for it but also helping. Teaching. “Hurry up and get better, and we’ll see.” 
Sanji groaned, rolling his eyes even as he chuckled. “You’re gonna kick my ass, aren’t you.”
Maybe. But even more than that… He thought about how Sanji had held his hand over the knife, patient but not condescending even though he could have been, the skin of his wrist cool against Zoro’s forearm. The look on his he face as he did what he loved and the way it had made something warm bloom behind Zoro’s sternum. The swordsman let his teeth peek in a lazy grin as his chin tipped up; an entire challenge. Half of the bite. “We’ll see.”

ever onward in our DAV adventure...
I'm on such a high with this game right now.
The romantic scenes I've gotten to do with Lucanis so far have made me very giggly and happy while I was playing through them. And Neve approves of our romance. <3

My next big main quest made me SO happy! Delightful, delightful! I really do love the quest & flow design of DAV and, even though I have to admit to some protectiveness/defensiveness over DAI (it was my first Dragon Age game), I think that DAV improved on it in several ways. I feel like the tension of the main storyline is a lot stronger here than it was in DAI post-Skyhold. The open world was just... too open in DAI, imo. Pulling back and making it more controlled in DAV (plus eliminating collection quests entirely except for the one) was a good game design decision.
When we got stuck in Elgar'nan's trap and then Rook heard SOLAS reaching out through the thinned Veil to help us through! I was just eating up the conversation between Elgar'nan and Solas as we fought our way through to save the Dalish. This game has been giving me so much great lore and I am loving it to pieces. Sneaking through the Venatori camp was... definitely illuminating on their mindset. They want old Tevinter back again, and the since the old Tevinter gods were actually the servants of the old elven gods...

Had a great conversation with Solas afterwards (Rook has officially earned his respect) and we got a bit of him talking with some regretful longing about the Inquisitor after we got a bit of her doing the same in our earlier meeting, so that was sweet (I set them up as having romanced in DAI so I could get any potential extra dialogue). Rook called Solas out on his pride, and we really did get to see a big difference between Solas and Elgar'nan -- Solas knows how to apologize and realizes it when he screws up. Which was true in DAI as well -- if you took the high approval route with him, he's way more conflicted about his ending choices, because he realizes that his initial assumptions about people post-Veil were incorrect. If you prove him wrong, he admits to being wrong.
Solas also gave a pretty clear 'endgame approaching' warning in the game, in the sense of saying that our next encounter with the gods is likely to be our last chance, so my next priority is to finish up any character or region quests, to get everyone as prepped as possible for the next big fight. Companions were my first priority, to try to get them all up to Hero of the Veilguard status alongside Harding.

So, companion updates:
Harding - already a Hero of the Veilguard, but I had a really good conversation with her after the Solas convo, where she expressed how glad she was that she had friends to help her past feeling the weight of the Titans' pain on her shoulders and how she believes that Solas can be saved too. Okay, I definitely need to go with an Inky who doesn't believe that Solas can be saved in my next run, because I'm very curious how her opinion might change if Inky thinks Solas needs to be stopped as opposed to saved! (I'm wondering if it's like how Varric's approval during Mages/Templars choice in DAI depends on what Hawke chose in DA2). Harding firmly believes that Lavellen could save Solas from trapping himself in his regrets and bad choices if given the chance. So it's possible we might have a Solas/Inky happy ending waiting at the end of the game if we play our cards right. Maybe. We'll see! Depends on Solas and his stubbornness, really.

Taash - I wanted to finish up them next, to see if that moved the Taash/Harding romance forward. We've gotten some hints and flirting here and there and it's been very cute. During the quest to take care of the Stormrider dragon, Taash asked Harding about her mom, and they had some good mom-related conversations.
Taash's personal quest really tugged at the heartstrings (I shed a few tears, for sure). I had Taash leaning towards being more Rivani and their mom wasn't a big fan of that. And was confused about Taash being non-binary. And now Taash has to struggle with the pain of never getting to have that big conversation where the two of them work it out. And that's hard but also... really true to life at times. It felt very honest.

Taash's personal quest also crystallized something I was trying to say before about the themes of the game -- for some of the characters, it's not sins of the past so much as the struggle with the weight of your culture and the baggage that it brings. That's become more clear as we've gone through each quest. Because that was definitely Taash, who is torn between two cultures, Rivani or Qunari -- one culture that stresses personal freedoms and is chill about magic and spirits, and the other one which stresses authoritarianism and control and is definitely not chill about magic or spirits. And you can certainly take from both in some ways but there are other ways that the two cultures contrast so strongly that you have to pick one.
But we've had other characters struggling with issues brought about because of their cultural background -- like Bellara, who is dealing with ancient elven history in the form of her brother accepting an offer to serve one of the Forgotten Ones of elven lore; or Harding dealing with the cultural weight of all of the grief and anger of the murdered Titans, and Davrin needing to deal with the 'whatever it takes to win' cultural background of the Wardens coming back around again in the form of the Gloom Howler. The regrets of the past. So... similar to what I was saying before, but slightly modified.
In lighter news: matchmaking successful!

Emmrich - We killed Johanna and destroyed the lantern, but this was a really tough quest on an emotional level. We just lost Taash's mom in the previous quest and then I had to make the call to save Manfred or encourage Emmrich to let him go and move forward into lichdom. And it was a really difficult choice! For this specific Rook, I encouraged him to become a lich but, wow, I was torn. But it is Emmrich's dream, and when we spoke about it... it's clear that it's what he wants. And Manfred isn't any more dead than he was before, since he was always a wisp inhabiting a body. He just won't be... inhabiting anymore. But, yeah. A tough one. Taash got Hero of the Veilguard status at the end of their quest, but Emmrich didn't get it here. Either he'll get it when he becomes a lich, or picking lichdom means that he doesn't get it. I guess I'll find out.

All throughout this, I would go back to the Lighthouse between each mission and run into delightful conversations between my companions. I really love how lively and dynamic it feels like the Lighthouse is. People are always moving around and talking to each other. <3
I moved some other companion missions forward but haven't completed them yet -- I need to do the next story mission in Treviso to complete Lucanis's personal mission, and Neve's mission next goes to the Cobbled Swan, where the Inquisitor awaits for a second check-in (excited to see her again! She's not ~exactly~ my Inky, of course, but you can't distill dozens of hours of characterization into a dozen lines, so I wasn't expecting that). I have some final tie-ups for Taash and Harding, plus the Lichdom ceremony for Emmrich, and I've moved forward to the next steps on Davrin and Bellara's quests.
Speaking of Bellara's questline, this hit me HARD after my recent decision to go no-contact with my brother:

Howdy.
My name's Java. I've been attempting to shift for 4 years now. A lot of the information I've been fed has been from reddit's shifting community (wouldn't recommend) and so I'm trying to reprogram everything I know about shifting. Unfortunately, I have a particularly difficult scenario as to why I'm shifting. Let me explain. Tldr at the end.
My story
I've been attempting to shift since 2020 w varying determination and motivation. Last year, I began dating a fictive (DID system) of Diluc Ragnvindr from Genshin Impact. Diluc was well aware of my shifting journey, and actively supported me shifting. For those unaware, in Genshin Impact, bodies can be created from craftsmanship (Puppets, homunculi, etc) and Diluc had a copy of my OR body created and put into an unconscious state so I could shift to his home reality and my body would wake up once my consciousness shifted. Unfortunately, Diluc's host is in a less than healthy relationship and forced them to cut me off from their life.
(No, they did not believe that the host was cheating on them with me; this person was well aware of mine and Diluc's relationship)
Not too long ago, the host and I got back in touch. He said Diluc vanished and has no idea what happened to him. He doesn't know if Diluc had his memory wiped, if he left of his own accord, if he was forced from the headspace, or what happened. Diluc and I were separated two days after our anniversary. We had talked extensively about living together once I had shifted, starting a family, fantasizing about how we would spend our lives together. His last words to me before he was forced away from me were "Please remember I love you and I'll talk to you as soon as I can", so I do not believe he willingly abandoned me.
I need your help getting my dawnlight back.
Due to the circumstances, I have little answers as to how I can shift there. I have no clue what my surroundings look like, I have no past, no friends or relatives, no favorite foods/smells/locations/music. Everything is a blank slate. I don't even know if my body is still laying in his bed, where he told me he'd keep it until I woke up. I only know what I look like and even that is difficult (I've had a few appearance changes since we were separated).
I am AuDHD and I have trouble focusing/getting into meditative states. I have never reached the void state, never had my body fall asleep before my brain. I hate sounding like a downer, even though I know "Omg shifting is so easy! It's obvs you can't do it because you don't believe in yourself! Just shift! 🤪", but I have honestly no clue where it is I'm going wrong. It doesn't help that I'm a blank slate without much to go off of.
Already, off of one single blog, Ive seen so much advice that has blown everything I learned previously out of the water. It seems like the Tumblr community is much more down to earth and attuned than the reddit community is, so I am asking you: please recommend me any and all advice you have for me. I have tried the law of assumption + robotic affirming for weeks on end with only mental fatigue as a result. I've tried the gateway tapes but they're so much to juggle and keep up with every night. What's helped me most recently is @/sheeezu's walkthrough and Alunir's meditate, intend, pretend method (but mostly sheeezu lol).
TL;DR
I lost my partner and am trying to find him by shifting to his specific home reality. Everything I have learned has been ineffective or just plain misinformation. I'd appreciate any and all help the shiftblr community is willing to share with me 💖

Damn I'm really like the storyline of this game.But FUCK Leo,if I ever get a chance to smacked the shit out of him, please Chancellor one chance.He fucked with the Mc head, how Alan and Thoma didn't kick him out that car if beyond me, there better than me honestly.Sho isn't much better because he's going along just because he's isn't mean.
Just because there isn't cruelty that doesn't mean kindness.But he's the lesser evil.Makes me sad for Alan.
Let's talk about Lucas I wonder if the soul system is like JJK,like if your twins you share the same soul and that's why the demon took his brother.

I picked Thoma first, but I didn't take screenshots of the opening. Probably gonna use my emulator to take a crack at screencapping all of the boys intros because I am insane and want to pick it apart for lore research.
Twins sharing the same soul/being seen as the same person is very common in Japanese folklore if I understand correctly? But that might just be me overthinking the plot of Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. So yes that's my assumption too, the demon likely took Luca's brother in his place since they technically share a soul.
Now. Let's talk about Leo. The main reason Alan and Thoma didn't immediately kick him out of the car was to not make a scene. Thoma specifically seems to respect the opportunistic sort, and thinks that Leo shows promise if he shapes up. He's skilled with tech, good at reading people, quick on his feet, all of those things are arguably good traits that Vagastrom, and Alan, could really use! Besides it's not like he has enough on either of them to get in their way yet, best to play it cool and walk away with the upper hand. Another thing we learn from this conversation that might be easy to miss is that unlike Twisted Wonderland where each dorm has rules about who should be the leader, Darwick's Administration picks the Captain and Vice Captain of the dorm, and grades seem to be more important to them than say. Whether or not the person has a good character, as we have seen from both Thoma and Leo, is significantly less important.
But if there is one thing I sort of have to point out that I think Alan gets and tries to call him out on, Leo is incredibly short sighted. He sees MC's power as worthless not because it doesn't work but because he already used it and got what he wants from it. He doesn't see anyone other than himself, and maybe Sho, as a person so he doesn't feel any guilt about using MC to get what he wants and then trying to get her kicked out of the school. He's also the only bitch in this house that completely ignores that MC can't leave, he doesn't mention her curse once when talking about her and honestly I don't think he was paying attention enough to remember that she can't leave because of that. Allan makes a point at the end of the Vagastrom book that I really hope is followed up on:

I sort of read this as applying to his friendship with Sho and his own reputation. Sure, it's all fun and games now while he snatches up the Vice Captain role and still has Sho doing his bidding, but well. Sho does occasionally do what he wants, he didn't go along with Leo's plan, not completely. He didn't outright lie about MC's power, and he hates how Leo keeps asking about why the ghouls made their wish on a demon. He thinks it's wrong, he hates it. Leo's treatment of MC did bother him, and I know he doesn't want MC to die. I don't know how far you or anyone else has made it, but something happens in Book 3 that makes it seem like MC has gone missing, and according to Hyde all of the Frostheim, "and one or two" of the Vagastrom ghouls have to be talked out of going to look for her.
As of right now Leo's only real ally is Sho. If Sho gets fed up with him and stops covering his ass, then Leo has no one, and I don't think that's occurred to him since according to Sho's bio they've been friends since long before Darkwick. Anyway I hope they get divorced and Sho gets to keep his food truck. Like I said, we can run Leo over with it for the insurance money.
Have some Side Notes:
The ring of Solomon, or the ring of wisdom, granted Solomon the power to make demons do his bidding in the original myth. Since ghouls powers come from demons, in some way, shape, or form, my theory is that the ring is likely enhancing the demonic part of them.
The "like doves" supposedly appear when someone is thinking of you positively/likes you. The first people to make these doves appear around MC are Luka and Kaito. The second is Sho, which is honestly why I am a bit softer on him then I should be. The third time it shows up is at the end of Jabberwock's book with all three dorm members present, meaning literally the only bitch in this house who does not respect MC is fucking Leo that dick-
while it isn't specified, Professor Dante appears to be the advisor for both Frostheim and Vagastrom, something I think is more or less confirmed by Hyde being in charge of both Jabberwock and Sinostra. Anyway the point I want to make is that we are missing a dorm if we follow the rule of each advisor being in charge of two, and no I don't mean the two missing characters from Obscuary I mean a whole dorm that seems to have specialized in exorcisms (perhaps of curses 👀):

My personal theory is that their dorm used to be in the Cathedral we are staying in and that it was destroyed during "the Clash" that's been alluded to in the first part of the story, we don't know much about it other than 1) it was between ghouls, perhaps exclusively 2) there is a spy of some sort Thoma and Alan are looking for that might have had something to do with it and 3) a Frostheim student behaved very badly during the Clash to the point Thoma seems to think they should take some responsibility for it. But that's just my speculation, don't know how much of it's real.

What are your thoughts on the carnival scene both in the book and the show? Was Conrad really interested in the girl from the ring toss or do you think his sole purpose was winning Belly Junior Mint?
There is this weird dynamic between them where they kind of assume that the other knows how they feel because they do have a great understanding between them but that's where the problems arise because they put too much weight on the silent understanding between them & forget to communicate their actual feelings. I think he thought she fully understood the significance of the original Junior Mint moment (and she clearly DID kind of get it bc she held onto Junior Mint all this time and the bear was really important to her, and everybody knows/recognizes how much she loves Junior Mint, although it's heavily implied at least to me that no one else actually knows how she got him or what he REALLY means).
My book girlies know this, but it comes to light in Conrad's letters that not only does he vividly remember the day he won her the bear, but he also spent $40 (at like 14 years old!!!) trying to win her the bear because he paid attention to her all summer and saw that she badly wanted it and had been eyeing it all summer (he actually says "remember how you used to go over to the ring toss and just stare at the polar bears?"). I think he got confused when Belly got all standoffish about it but also didn't know what to do about his feelings at that point in time (which is why he said that the girl said Junior Mint was the best prize they had. it was easier & less vulnerable than saying "I think I might have romantic feelings for you too and I just spent hours trying to win this for you because I know how much you wanted it and I wanted you to spend time with you") so he didn't try to explain it to Belly & ended up hanging out with ring toss girl that summer as a distraction in a way. But then the present scene...he wanted to remind her of that memory and he wanted her to know he remembered it and that it mattered to him & he wanted her to know he still thinks about her and loves her and wants her back. And Belly is in the mindset she was in in the 2nd book where she still loves him but doesn't want to & is tempted to go back to him but feels like she has to prove a point to herself and everyone else that she is over him and doesn't need him. I also think she spent so long being in love with him with everyone knowing & teasing her about it and it made her feel like it was the child like and immature thing to be with him, so she wants to show that she has "outgrown" him, and she's not a dumb 13 year old kid with a crush anymore.
I think Conrad probably did think the ring toss girl was cute, he was a 14 year old boy so you can't really fault him for being a little interested in her and hanging out with her, and also Belly got upset and he probably didn't understand that he had inadvertently hurt her feelings. He wanted to win her the bear he knew she had been wanting and make her happy, and it backfired (Which probably fed his anxiety and feelings of not being worthy and always fucking up and disappointing people but especially Belly). I think that moment would have been different if Belly had stayed there while he was trying to win her the bear- she made an assumption to start out and ran away without ever actually knowing what really happened (kind of like the prom moment). I think the fact that Conrad still remembered and thought about winning her Junior Mint even 8-9 years later kind of says it all. And the way he boops Junior Mint in the show in season 1...that man knows it was never about the ring toss girl.
Also it just occurred to me that maybe he had spent time noticing the ring toss girl because he had already spent a lot of time noticing Belly go to the ring toss and staring at the polar bears and also maybe he had already spent time trying to win Belly the bear during that summer. ok I'm gonna go cry because that makes it SO MUCH SWEETER.
