Has your OC ever experienced something that changed them irrevocably?  If so, then how do they view the person they were before?

Does your OC believe that sometimes a person needs to hit rock bottom before they can begin to rebuild their life?  Has this ever been their personal experience?  Or would they rather spare someone suffering, even if it meant they failed to learn from their mistakes over and over again?

Does your OC recover quickly from injuries?  Or has it got harder for them to keep bouncing back as they’ve got older?  If so, is this something they would ever admit?

Winter Greenery OC Questions

Just because these story beats are more fresh in my mind at this current time, Nomin's first character shift was certainly after watching her adoptive brother murdered before her and then kidnapped shortly afterward into the Jhungid. Over time, she remained defiant and became more and more hardened. She learned how to lie and hide her intentions to further her goals of later sabotaging and hurting the Jhungid.

I'm sure there are going to be a lot of things that she encounters on the Steppe after she finds herself free of the Jhungid that I've yet to write, and that makes me excited for how she'll shape into what I imagine she is now at the end of Endwalker (and how maybe she'll even end up changing!).

Other than that, the Bloody Banquet also is really frustrating and makes her more intent on sharpening her senses. This in turn makes the whole thing with Midgardsormr stripping away her Blessing something that makes her have to reshape how she thinks about and views things, because after it's taken away, she realizes just how reliant on it she had been, even if she had not always been conscious of it.

Then there are a lot of events that transpired before going to and on the First in general that just...really cemented a lot of things for Nomin that she has people she cares about. She has friends and people she would call family that she doesn't want to lose. So it leads into taking a more active role in spending time with those she cares about. Which is even more important to her after learning about the events of Endwalker.

Very excited to see what happens in Dawntrail to further shape her!

No. I don't think Nomin thinks that someone has to hit rock bottom to rebuild their life. I don't think she's ever personally reached rock bottom and come to some revelation herself. In my writing, she gets down, sure, but I don't think I've ever explored her at rock bottom because I don't think I've ever really written her hitting rock bottom. Not yet, at any rate. I've still got A LOT to write for her, too! So it's possible that I'll reach that point!

For now, for her especially, she's rebuilt her life and reshaped her life several times, and hopefully for the better!

When I think about this question with Nomin framed as a mother, I can't imagine her ever thinking that her children would need to reach those points in their own lives to rebuild themselves. She would never, ever want them to experience what she has -- what she has endured. Same when she considers Estinien's youth that he has revealed to her. Nomin wants to love and nurture her children, even if they were all kind of a surprise due to the low, low probabilities of interracial partners producing offspring that we can infer from what little we've seen and been introduced to in-game. (And I believe what has been confirmed? I need to look back through some Live Letters and if there were questions in regards to Hilda and what the devs said about her and interracial people in general.)

In any case, I would say that Nomin firmly believes that with proper care and teaching, children, as they grow, can learn to reflect upon themselves and change in a way that benefits them as well as their relationships with others. Just as she had Bayarmaa and other members of the Sagahl to help nurture and teach her more properly outside of the Tumet.

Hm... I'd like to think that Nomin recovers pretty quickly from injuries, though this only by virtue of being Hydaelyn's Chosen / the Warrior of Light / a shard of Azem (which...god, I don't even want to think about nor touch upon it because I actually don't really care about the Ancients plot all too much, but I will eventually).

Thinking about it, I believe I certainly would like to touch upon this when Midgardsormr strips Nomin of her Blessing. Whatever fights or conflicts she gets into resulting in a slower recovery process and kind of frustrating her because it feels so sluggish when she, Alphinaud, Ysayle, and Estinien have to keep on their travels to meet with Hraesvelgr.

When I consider that, I believe Nomin would certainly be annoyed and more prone to snappish responses (especially when it concerns Ysayle and Estinien, and their squabbling on their journey). She liked traveling alone because she doesn't have to worry about slowing down others, or having others slow her down. So to have to deal with all of her injuries not healing as quickly as she wants is just something that certainly presents itself as an obstacle I'm now looking forward to when I eventually get to writing and fleshing out more of Nomin's Heavensward story. :>

Not to sound like a person who actually cares about children, but it's so alarming that there's this tendency and trend of not telling kids about their medical conditions that are in their charts.

I'm finding out as an adult that they (though it's not documented who) diagnosed me with a life-long, chronic condition without telling me when I was a teenager. I found out recently when I got curious about my medical charts, and otherwise, I would not have known what's wrong with me. I've been left with more questions than answers, and I feel like a private investigator investigating my own damn health and life.

Is this medical malpractice? Yes. However, I think it also speaks to a broader point of how children are seen to not be entitled to their own lives in any capacity, to the point where they are (intentionally or not) made ignorant about things that are or will affect them.

I will never get over Pomni’s character development

Like, you’re telling me this woman went from distrusting every member of the circus (understandably so due to being thrust into a new environment), and being on the brink of a breakdown constantly

To having the most tender heart-to-heart with Gangle in which she offers to cover Gangle’s closing shift??

Pomni as a person is genuinely so so sweet, and it’s a side of her that we didn’t get to see in the pilot, considering she was so anxious and tended to place her needs above others. In episode 2, she was such a support towards Gummigoo, which was wonderful to see. She gained a stronger connection with Kinger in episode 3, but it really wasn’t until episode 4 that we saw Pomni lend her support to someone that isn’t an NPC. It’s really heartwarming.

I went to the mormon church’s website, looked up their views on homosexuality, noted the scriptures they referenced, ripped them by hand out of the bible and book of mormon I stole from their chapel, and then mixed them into a silicone dildo of my own design like confetti. A dildo which will of course be used for homosexual purposes (with non-lubricated condoms and water based lube, for safety).

I’ve wanted to try dildo making for literally over a decade. I don’t have any fancy equipment like a 3D printer or a vacuum chamber, I made the sculpt by hand, and I fucked up a lot along the way, but all that being said I’m proud of what I was able to accomplish and I learned a lot. I put in more gold than I meant to, but honestly, it was meant to represent scripture’s gilded edges, and as it turned out, it looks really beautiful or quite filthy depending on the lighting, which feels entirely appropriate for scripture.

It was hard to read all of those verses. But as I tore them up I bathed them in the intention to take words that were meant to inflict queer pain wherever they go, and say “Actually, I pull those words out when I want some queer pleasure.” Build joy where they want you to have it the least.
