i DID put all my character playlists on spotify recently so i could get real autistic about those today if i want hmmmmmmm

#did it for a friend and GOT SO MAD #bc the 13 min extended version of a song i had on yellows playlist straight up doesnt exist on spotify and its fucked up #i also wanted to do custom lil icons for their playlists but aaah.. theyre very short #theyre all like 20 mins or under lol.#so maybe not worth it #BUT LIKE. ive talked about this i get insane about character playlists. last ones i did were years in the making #like i need every line and every lyric to fit or ill lose it and it has to be in a specific order or ill start screaming #IM. listen. listen the url is no joke.#if i dont have these playlists meticulously in a specific order i will start screaming crying ect #because theres like. the theme of the overall playlist but also the themes interweaving between two different songs and how they reflect on #ok i shall. stop that now.#tumblr tags were like girl shut up #my dhmis postings

Still thinking about none houses left grief, and while I understand where people are coming from, "it took me out of the world" is just... Really not a relevant criticism here. Like, that line is SUPPOSED to be jarring. It is supposed to be kind of darkly funny, but the point isnt for you to laugh. Its not trying to be a punchline. The point of that line IS to "take you out of the world" because the point is that *this world isn't what you thought it was.*

#if it startled you that something so irreverant and lowbrow would come up in a high fantasy serious world #...then maybe ask yourself if this is really a serious high fantasy world #also i do think its just elitist that everyone complains about the tumblr references and not the word for word bible quotes #like maybe the author was trying to make a point about why you accept that catholicism is a cultural constant but not memes?#maybe take a step back and ask yourself what kind of cultural artifacts you think are important enough to be worth mentioning #tlt #htn #the locked tomb #harrow the ninth #tlt spoilers

Can I ask how Vasco reacted to hearing about Machete’s assassination? :o did he put on a brave face? Was he inconsolable? Does he imagine that if he were there, he could’ve done something (even if that isn’t true? I imagine it would be tortuous mentally and emotionally for him, poor lad

He most likely went through a mental breakdown, followed by years of paralyzing grief and depression. Vasco had proven to be outstandingly resilient and optimistic in adversity, putting on a brave face was his second nature. But this was his final 'break the unbreakable' moment. He turned withdrawn and apathetic. He had never lost anyone this abruptly before, and he became visibly paranoid about the safety and health of his family while failing to look after his own wellbeing.

Of course he kept rewinding the events in his head and second-guessing himself about whether he could've prevented this outcome somehow, even when everyone who knew about his situation kept telling him there was no reason for him to blame himself for it. He struggled with the suddenness of it, and the lack of closure, and couldn't get over thinking how the love of his life had died alone, surprised, scared and in pain, and that there was absolutely nothing he could do to remedy that. Ludovica's support was invaluable to him. Since he couldn't mourn openly she was one of the few people who were there for him.

Eventually he came to terms with what had happened and learned to live with it, and even though he slowly regained his good-humoured personality, he never fully recovered back to his previous self.
