In My Skin changes

So, I have beaten In My Skin with a hammer and picked out the pieces I want to keep and discarded the rest. I will be keeping the current characters except for Geralt, I just couldn’t get him to resonate with the rest and so he will have died as a child for some angsty backstory. Rory, Shoshanna, and Lillain are all still ROs in the story but with a few changes. First of all, none of them are werewolves, at first.

The story will now revolve around the MC being reincarnated in the world as a werewolf and follows them as they take up the life of an adventurer. Like many Isekai tropes there are many classes (professions) but the MC will be a warrior as magic tends to react unpredictably when used by werewolves.

Lillain is now the leader of a guild chapter which the MC will join to further their ambitions. Rory is still her daughter and Anna adopted. As for those two Rory is still a blacksmith but works for the guild, when she does go out adventuring she uses a colossal lance. Anna is the chapter alchemist/healer and rarely goes on adventures, but when she does she uses a rifle.

The ex is now the MCs childhood friend/first partner who left the village without telling the MC why. The MC will meet them again when they arrive in the big city and where they go from there is in your hands. Unlike many members of the village, the ex and their family had not been werewolves.

As for the bestie they are unique as they are from the MCs past life and broke through realities to find them after the MCs death. Their species is still up to the reader and ranges from vampire or werewolf, to wendigo or succubus with a few others I am planning.

About the MCs past life they start off with all the general knowledge of their past life which gives them a leg up but the specifics such as their old family, job, and other things are blocked. These memories can come back to them as the story progresses but it’s not guaranteed that they will remember anything.

For now that’s just the basics but I will give more specific details as I work on it. Any questions feel free to ask.
