psst, hey, fellow selfshippers and lovers of fictional characters!! something i want to share and reassure folks on as a person who gets character crushes super easily: don't be embarrassed by whoever's making your brain light up 🥰💖 i see some lovely folks get really in their head about this. perhaps they've always crushed on a specific kind of character, so when they get one who's a little different, they feel like they can't talk about it. maybe they've touted themselves as having one crush and have been super dedicated that whole time, so feel like it's a betrayal somehow, or makes them less of whichever label (e.g., yume, selfshipper, etc.) they've identified with. i'm here to tell you that's all nonsense!! 💖 this is fandom. you're not an influencer and you don't need to keep up a specific 'brand'!! if you see a character who makes your heart all gushy, don't think up an imaginary critical audience who is going to yell at you for not fixating on the 'right' thing. life's too short to deny yourself happiness 🫂

u can’t tell me the acolyte’s cancellation is a win when the mando movie is currently shooting,, the show had problems yes but this clearly wasn’t a decision made abt quality. what was once a franchise where you could set any kind of story, have any kind of adventure, is now a bunch of increasingly niche tie-ins about the same few characters, hesitantly branded as the “mandoverse”, made by the same few guys (who, most importantly, suck at this). the acolyte made important steps for representation, yeah, but it was also just plain NEW. even andor was a spin-off of a spin-off. you could watch the acolyte if all you knew was a guy named luke blew up a death star once. certain brilliant stuff like visions will always lurk at the dubiously-canon edges of star wars—the acolyte could’ve started a new era of the franchise. even if you didn’t care for the show, this is such a loss

I’m very excited to be putting my art somewhere again. I had an account on Instagram and Twitter, but I decided to fully uproot based off of the AI scalping stuff and no really reliable way to opt out. I ended up running off to Bluesky and Tumblr, which I’ve never used before. I’m still learning!

But all that out of the way, I love to create art! And not all of my following wants to see anthropomorphic dogs.

I'm so glad you're pursuing the Machete Vasco romance arc. They're so cute together, their chemistry is *chefs kiss* and it definitely adds to the tragedy of Machete's fate.

Their relationship has been in the backburner for at least 6 years and probably more than that so this isn't a new development, I've been just too timid to really explore it in drawn form (and then there's the fact that at some point I managed to convince myself that my oc stuff is bad and embarrassing and people don't want to hear about it but I'm trying to get over that).

hi, fandom that i am fairly new to! i am struggling to find songs for a writing playlist that conform even slightly to my music taste. i have nothing against the soft, folksy acoustic guitar sound, but it's not my thing, and it's like 99% of other people's playlists.

so, if you have any songs that remind you of finnick and/or annie which are not like that, please send them to me! i'm not super picky about genres most of the time, so no real restrictions beyond that. please, friends, i am struggling.

Anyways, this is late but I might as well give my own two cents, because the leaks seem really interesting and I want to talk about them

So these two seem to be Mercury Knight and Silverdrop (or Silver Bell it seems?), who both seem like guys apparently (I thought Silver Bell at least would be a girl)

Not gonna lie, kind of wish Mercury Knight had a simpler design, he looks like a bit too much. Silver Bell’s not too bad though. Also kind of looks like Lilybell

Anyways, on to the topic I really want to get on, these guys

So first off, I’m pretty sure Shadow Milk has to do with the play thing we saw before, their milk ring thing was on there, also they seem to have a jester motif, which actually, the Truth Soul Jam is…kind of fitting

Also another thing I notice is that they have the shapes of all the Soul Jams, but upside down and the wrong color (aside from Shadow Milk and Eternal Sugar)

I really want to know who these guys are, are they like, past wielders of the Soul Jam? Does that mean the Soul Jams change color when they have a proper new wielder that they bond to? That’d be interesting. Or are they new ones that work for Dark Enchantress that she wants to use the Soul Jam once she steals it?

I don’t know but I’m very excited to see who these guys are

So it seems like the first theory, these are previous Soul Jam holders, but they seemed to have fallen and turned to darkness? That’s interesting. I still hope we see more about them, as well as the actual Cookies

Also one note about this guy, the Fairy King I think

I don’t know why but his face reminds me of Millennial Tree. Or maybe MT’s costume. Regardless they look kind of similar to me
