Can't guess
Part 1
Lucifer: What do you mean, you can't tell who's the father!
Solomon: Normally, we can do a Paternity test to know who's the father.
Solomon: So I took MC to the human world-
Diavolo: Without my permission I may add.
Solomon: 😊
Solomon: So we got to the clinic and... Let's just say this pregnancy is too dangerous for the human's mind.
Satan: So that counts you out, since this baby is supernatural-
Solomon: Oh? I'm as powerful then any of you. Just because the child cause the doctors and nurses to go insane that does mean I'm out of the count of the potental father of this child.
Belphie: Of course, being here you're causing us to go insane.
Simeon: Wait, are the humans alright?
Solomon: They're fine. *He was lying*
Diavolo: ...
Solomon: Now back to the pregnancy.
Solomon: We can only make a guess on who's the father by MC's change of behavior.
Solomon: In the past, the mother display aggressive behavior when they were carrying a demon spawn.
Solomon: From what I gathered, they didn't know who was the father of those spawns, so we don't know if the mothers would display the behavior of the demon father or its a common symptom of Aggression.
Lucifer: How long would the pregnancy take?
Solomon: ... About 12 months.
Mammon: What!!!
Solomon: Or 6 months. Again there isn't actually a solid pattern of these demon to human pregnancy.
Simeon: What about an Angel Pregnancy?
Solomon: Don't know, no one gets to record them since "Someone" Keep interfering.
Simeon: What's the suppose to mean, friend?
Solomon: You know exactly what I mean, Simeon.
Simeon and Solomon glare at each other.
Barbatos: Oh my.
Lucifer: can you two stop being petty- What's with the grin Diavolo?
Diavolo: Oh? It's nothing.
Barbatos: I sense something bad about this.
Diavolo: Well. if you two must know, I think I have a higher chance of being the father.
Lucifer, Barbatos, Satan, and Belphie: ...
Diavolo: My blood is the strongest-
Belphie: I call bullshit on that!
Diavolo: Oh? *Turn to Lucifer and Barbatos, waiting for them to interject*
Lucifer: What? I agree with Belphie.
Diavolo Oh!
Barbatos: Smugness doesn't suit you, Milord.
Meanwhile in the other room
MC: I can I have some Beel
Beel: *Feels conflicted* Sure
MC: Yeah!!
Mammon: *Enters the room and growled when he saw Beel feeding you* Oi!!
Mammon: *He rushes over and pull you close to him* Who said that you can feed her?
Beel: *Deep down, he feels challenge by Mammon* She was hungry, and ask if she wants some.
Mammon: Oh? What! you think that the kid is yours?
Beel: *Stood up and looms over Mammon* Yes.
Mammon: *Gently push you to the side and got up at Beel's face and growled*
Asmo: Oh? the tension is real!
Asmo: Anywho, I'm taking MC to my room-
Asmo: *Stopped when a tail wrapped round his arm* Let go, Levi
Levi: No.
MC: *Senses trouble you slowly back away and quietly leave the room*
MC: Damn, these fuckers are going to kill each other before the baby is born-
Luke: Baby?
MC: Gah! Luke! When did you get here?
Luke: Simeon and Solomon took me along but said I should stay at the kitchen because they are having "Adult talk" with the brothers
MC: I see.
Luke: You're having a baby!!
MC: Yeah, it seems like it.
Luke: Who's the dad?
MC: ...
MC: We... Don't know exactly.
Luke: Huh? I thought you'll know the dad the moment you found it.
MC: "How am I going to say that I was whoring around with all the guys"
MC: It's a mystery.
Luke: ... *Looks down*
MC: What's wrong?
Luke: No-Nothing.
MC: Come on, Luke. You can talk to me.
Luke: ...
Luke: Would you still love me, even if the baby comes.
MC: Oh! Luke *You pull him into a hug* You'll always have my love. I can't never ignore you.
Luke: *Smiles and hugs you back*
MC: *Pulls back* Now, lets get out of here. Stay here is stressing me out.
Luke: Yeah! Stress is bad for the baby.
You nod and the two of you head out. As you two got far you both hear a loud crash from the HOL.
Luke: What was that!!
MC: Ignore it. When hasn't a day when something in that house broke.
Luke: Hm... Good point.

Burn Away Like Mist

Burn Away Like Mist
⫷⫸
Aemond Targaryen X Baratheon Wife Reader
Summary: You despise your husband and that hatred is only compounded when you find him gazing up at the Iron Throne after the battle of Rook’s Rest.
Warnings: This is TOXIC, lots of cruelty and manipulative behaviour (on both sides.) Mention of child SA and a blade is drawn (Did someone say knife to throat?) - Enemies to Lovers, except they are so far from lovers in this. (maybe in a part two?)
Notes: No use of Y/N - Spoilers for S2 Ep 5 - Also, I really am not and have never been an Aemond girly (I will see Luke and Rhaenys avenged!) But I do find Aemond so, so compelling and I just couldn’t get this out of my head. Enjoy?

To those in Westeros who still held to the old Gods or to those who cradled superstitions close to their chests as though they were their own babes, the wind often harboured ill portent; it weaved across the sky, stitching the future there with fate as its thread.
And yet, it was not an ill-wind that had been the true portent of doom. You knew that countless foul fates had been ushered forth with a single foetid breath.
The breath upon which the order to send dragons to war was uttered, was the breath that began the end.
The Targaryens had survived the Doom of Valyria, fleeing from fire whilst using it to forge a path to the Iron Throne. And now they were to die in fire, of that you were sure.
The dragons had begun their dance and a dynasty would die because of it. Your husband had already claimed the lives of two. Two dragons and two dragon riders.
You would never forget Prince Lucerys and how bravely he had stood before your father in the hall of Storm’s End, his chin tilted up defiantly and such an assured, level voice from a boy still so small. He had made you smile. Just looking at him had made you smile because in him you had seen…well, you had seen a boy who had been loved and so could love and care for others in turn. You had felt hope for the realm.
But then he had been chased into the sky by Aemond Targaryen, a man devoid of love.
You knew that your husband was a product of both his blood and his upbringing. Boys starved of love grow into men who hunger for something they have never tasted; something they do not understand. Fond feelings and affection cannot find root in inhospitable soil, let alone bloom there. That was not Aemond's fault and yet his actions as a grown man were. His violence and vengefulness was no one’s doing but his own.
The storm into which Prince Lucerys had fled had been a particularly terrible one, it had felt as though the sky was being rent apart with each roll of thunder, the stone beneath your feet trembling as though in terror of it. Or in terror of what was happening above.
The moment Aemond had left your father’s hall in pursuit of his nephew, some part of you had known what was to come. And yet, when you had heard what had befallen him, you had cried for that sweet boy who had so loved his mother and affirmed his honour by so swiftly declaring he was already betrothed.
Selfishly, you had wept for yourself too. Grief for the boy you had not known and grief for the life you could have lived had intermingled, the tears that rolled down your cheeks acrid to the point of toxicity upon your tongue.
Not even a week later, Aemond had returned for you. His dragon blotted out the sun and you had remained in shadow ever since.
Your father had promised you that the wedding would not take place for some time, but he had not accounted for your betrothed becoming a Kinslayer while his promise to wed you still echoed down the halls of Storm’s End. The greens needed all the support they could get and quickly.
You had been married the day after you had arrived in King’s Landing.
Now, if Aegon did not wake, your new husband would be a Kingslayer too.
You did not know what had happened during the battle of Rook’s Rest and yet you had seen the truth of it in the brief glimpses you’d caught of your husband since his return. His brother’s state was not only down to Princess Rhaenys and the Red Queen, Meleys.
Up until now, you had been grateful that Aemond seemed to have no inclination to even converse with you, let alone share your bed, but you couldn’t help but think how much easier it would be to plunge a dagger into his chest if he did. You were no soldier, and you would not waste honour on a man such as your husband, so you truly would have no qualms or quibbles over cutting his throat as he slept.
Ours is the fury. Those were the words of your House.
When you were a girl you had felt such great pride upon hearing them; they roused and emboldened you, filling you with such righteousness as you retained safe and protected in Storm’s End, with your only adversary the wind that battered the walls and howled down the corridors in dismay when it could not reach you.
Now, when you heard the words you wanted to laugh.
Baratheon fury was without a doubt that of a storm: irascible and unyielding. And yet…it was water and wind. To Targaryen’s, the wind was something to be ridden and all water was burned away like the morning mist by dragon fire.
You had known even before you had said your vows to Aemond in the Sept of Baelor that he wished that you were that mist. When he looked at you, his gaze harboured a flame that told you he wished that you too were so easily burnt away.
But you refused to burn.
It was this rapidly growing hatred that drove you to seek him out, to look at him without baulking, if only so he could not sate himself on your fear as well as that of so many others.
It was not a search that had taken much time. After all that had happened, what would your husband want to do but gaze upon that which he coveted?
You had first met Aemond during a storm and you found him now as another raged outside the walls of the Red Keep. It was an ill omen.
It was the first rumblings of a reckoning.
Earlier in the day, Aemond had made you stand on the walkway alongside himself and the dowager queen Alicent when Meleys’ head had been paraded through the streets.
‘Behold the traitor dragon Meleys!’
You had wanted to close your eyes and plunge yourself into darkness to avoid the horror of the sight, but those words would still have rung in your ears, so you forced yourself to bear witness to the tragedy.
Aemond stood now as he did then, with his hands clasped behind his back and standing so still he might as well have been stone. The movement of his shoulders was almost imperceptible, as if taking breath was something less than vital to him. As though it were beneath him.
He was standing with his back to you, gazing up at the Iron Throne. He stood at a distance from it, but not out of deference for his dying brother, you knew.
Aemond had considered himself a king long before his Aegon had fallen upon flaming wings from the sky, he was simply enjoying the sight of the seat upon which he would soon sit; the seat he felt he was both owed and that he had earned.
Another bolt of lightning fractured the darkness and the tips of the swords that formed the Iron Throne glinted in the flash. The white strands of Aemond’s hair were for a moment threads of silver, shimmering like spun stars.
Then, the lightning retreated and the shadows descended again. Your husband seemed just as comfortable in the light as he did in the dark. Why wouldn’t he be, when he appeared able to thrive in both?
You step forward, peeling away from the side of the room.
When you speak, your voice has to contend with the thunder, but you are pleased with how indifferent you sound.
‘You may as well sit on it.’ You call out. ‘The arduous task is done with. What difficulty could climbing a few steps pose compared to killing your own kin? Again.’
Aemond’s head tilts as if in contemplation before turning just enough for you to see his face. His impassive expression is lit by a particularly violent bolt of lightning, his one violet eye flashing as brightly as you presume the sapphire in the other socket does when caught in the sunlight. His hands are still clasped behind his back.
‘You are ill-informed, wife. My brother yet lives.’
You do not miss that he does not say ‘the king’ and you dare to scoff in response.
‘Yes, I imagine you are irritated by that. It would be better for you if his demise was the result of Dragon warfare. That is easier to explain than, say, a pillow over the face? Or will you choose poison?’
Aemond hums, the corner of his mouth lifting in a deceptive manner. He is not amused, but you cannot say exactly what the small movement upon his face means. He turns to face you fully.
‘Poison is the weapon of women and cravens.’ Aemond says, his voice languid, almost bored. It infuriates you.
You want him to be as angry as you are. You want him to burn from the inside out as you do. He is the cause of your pain, so you will be the cause of his. It is this desire that drives you to speak so recklessly to him.
‘Well, you certainly aren’t a woman.’ You answer snidely.
Your silent implication has the desired effect. Aemond advances towards you, his jaw is clenched and the lines of his face are as hard as the carved stone that adorns the hall. You do not flinch or take so much as a step back. You stand firm, staring him down as he stops barely an arms length in front of you.
He is certainly breathing now, his shoulders heaving as he draws in air with the anger he has that is so often unbridled.
But just when you think you’ve succeeded in provoking him, Aemond lets out a steady exhale, his expression turning imperious as he looks down at you.
‘Are you so listless that you must come to poke and prod at me as though you were a disgruntled infant?’ He says, his voice hushed and his tone belittling. ‘My good sister is surely in want of company and comfort during such a trying time. Go to her.’
You frown up at him, curling your fingers into fists, nails digging into your palms.
You’re sure that he dons a mask of indifference around you because he knows it drives you mad. In his eyes, you are deserving of nothing, not even his contempt.
It makes you that much crueller.
As you recall an exchange you’d had with a very drunk Aegon a few days prior. Your lips lift into a nasty smile as you step up to Aemond, your chests almost touching. It’s the closest you’ve been since standing before each other in the Sept.
There’s another low rumbling of thunder. It may well be a warning, but you take it as encouragement.
‘I suppose we have that in common then.’
Aemond’s head tilts to the side, humming with feigned interest. ‘And what is that, ñuha jorrāelagon?’
Your skin itches. You hate that you cannot know what he calls you, especially when he has that unknowable glimmer in his eye. You steel yourself and speak the words that you know will place you in peril.
‘It seems we are both prone to bouts of childishness.’ You say, smiling up at him. ‘I know what happened in the brothel, Aemond.  Aegon took great delight in telling me of how he found you: naked and cradled in the arms of the establishments madam as if you were a babe.’
The noise that comes from Aemond borders upon the animalistic. So much so, that when he darts forward, his hand curling around the nape of your neck, that you expect to feel the sting of claws piercing your flesh.
You swallow down a gasp as Aemond drags you closer, forcing you to crane the neck he has in a vice grip in order to look up at him. Lightning gives you a better glimpse of his face that is now tight with fury.
He does not utter a word, he just glowers down at you as his heaving chest brushes yours.
You open your mouth to speak and his grip tightens, his nails digging into your neck. You do not know if he’s warning you or urging you on. You’re not entirely sure that he does either.
Either way, it would not stop you. This is the closest you’ve come to feeling alive since you left Storm’s End.
‘How old were you when it happened?’ You speak with a softness that you know he will not know how to contend with.
The jarring change in your tone and demeanour works. As Aemond takes in the concern that you force onto your face, his anger falters. It is only for a blink, but it feels like a victory all the same.
You are triumphant in the knowledge that he does not know you well enough to tell if you’re being genuine.
You aren’t, of course; you do not care for your husband. But that does not stop you from feeling sad for the boy that he was.
You have no doubt that the brothel all those years ago was Aegon’s doing; his was no doubt the lecherous hand that had forced Aemond into the arms of a grown woman. Undoubtedly, the sexual act had become conflated with tenderness for Aemond and for a comfort that he had never had.
Aemond manages to rebuild his cold exterior, but it is not as well fortified as before. He leans down, holding your neck tighter as he forces you to maintain eye contact.
‘You speak as though it is something which should torment me.’ He says quietly, sounding unconvinced by his own words. ‘As though it was something inflicted upon me, instead of something that I desired.’
‘You didn’t desire it. You were a boy.’ You answer,  disgust dripping from your words at the thought of it.
Aemond’s hold on the back of your neck loosens, but he does not remove it completely.
‘Boys must become men.’ He answers flatly.
‘Yes, but that is something that time will take care of without interference. Boys become men, that is an inevitability, it is not a change that can be brought about by abuse-’
‘It was not abuse.’ Aemond hisses, nails digging into you once more.
Aegon had delighted in telling you a great many things.
During the wedding feast–if the rushed, dismal affair could even be afforded such a title–the King had been deeper into his cups than you’d thought possible and he had delighted in telling you any story he could conjure in order to diminish Aemond’s manhood in your eyes. He had spoken in great length about the disappointment you were soon to suffer in the bedchamber, but he had also regaled  you with stories of his brother’s youth that had been rife with ridicule.
In what you had thought was preparation to defend yourself against Aemond’s coming attempt to bed you, you had sharpened your teeth on the tales of his childhood torment. But after he had spurned you, leaving your marriage unconsummated, you had not been able to bite anything.
Now, you were going to take the chance to bloody your mouth with those sharpened teeth. You meant to take a chunk of flesh.
‘Aegon did not make you a man, Aemond, nor did that woman, because you are still that little boy who was given a pig to ride–”
You choke on your own words as air rushes about your ears as you are forced up against the nearest pillar.
Your back slams into the cold stone as Aemond draws a familiar Valyrian steel dagger and presses it up against your throat. The muscles in his neck strain as he lets out a low grunt, as though the effort he is exerting to stop himself from killing you is physically painful.
You keep your eyes on your husband’s face, revelling in seeing his mask shatter, even as you feel the blade press into your skin.
You glower up at him and eagerly continue your tirade. At least if he kills you, you’ll be free of him: ‘Did you have to take the dagger from Aegon’s body, or did it fall to the earth alongside Sunfyre after you attacked them?’
Aemond’s knuckles whiten as he tightens his grip. ‘You wield your tongue as though it were a weapon, wife. It is impressive, truly. But you would do well to remember that only the real thing can cut.’  Aemond’s whisper skims across your cheek as he leans, your neck beginning to sting as he presses the dagger deeper. ‘Only one can draw blood.’
You fail to suppress a hiss of pain as you feel a bead of blood roll down your skin. And Aemond does not cease, almost spurred on by the sound of your pain. He leans in a little more, exerting further pressure on the blade.
The Baratheon fury that is your birthright flares within you and your hand shoots up. You wrap your fingers around Aemond’s wrist, attempting to stop the press of the weapon. It does not. Your reaction only serves to lift his lips into a sadistic smile.
‘Do you see now, how useless your words are?’ He coos, lips skimming the shell of your ear. You feel the vibrations of his words in your very bones. ‘How doomed of a rebellion your vitriol is?’
You answer by curling your fingers and digging your nails deep into his wrist as he had done with your neck. Nothing happens at first, but as you dig and dig, he leans back to peer down at you, his thin lips pressing into a tight line.
‘And what of your blade, Aemond?’ You goad, nails digging deeper. ‘What use does it have when you won’t use it? My throat is still yet to be slit.’
A shadow that has nothing to do with the darkness of the throne room passes over Aemond’s face. ‘Do you so wish for death, that you would offer yourself up like a lamb to the slaughter?’ He seethes.
‘But that’s just it, Aemond. You can’t slaughter me, can you?’ You say, sounding almost manic. Your blood has been drawn and both of you can taste it in the air. ‘My hand won Baratheon swords and my death would turn them against you.’
‘It would turn them against the Crown. I could cut your throat right here, right now and any retaliation your father offered would still be nothing more than treason. You are of no true consequence.’
‘So do it.’ You challenge, perversely energised by the feel of a blood trickling down your neck. ‘You are already a Kinslayer and a Kingslayer too if Aegon succumbs to his wounds. What does an oath sworn to my father mean to you? What are the vows you said to me? Although, now that I come to think of it, you are not truly my husband, are you?’
Aemond takes on an expression of mock pity, and tuts at you. ‘You may wish that to be true, but in the eyes of the gods and men, you are mine. My wife.’
You laugh bitterly, tightening your hold on his wrist, almost willing him to dig the steel further into your neck. ‘Am I? Without consummation I belong only to myself.’
Aemond lets out another of his characteristic hums that could just as easily signify danger as it could amusement. Another flash of lightning sends his one eye glowing.
‘You call me a boy and yet it is you with such infantile notions.’ He says. ‘You have never belonged to yourself. Before any man beds you, you belong to your father. You were his to give away the moment you were born and he has…to me.’
‘And you sneak out of the Red Keep and into the arms of a woman who you pay to hold you. Do you even know that affection can be something freely given?’ You lift your free hand and place it against his cheek, just below his eye patch. You could swear he flinches. ‘True comfort need not come as part of a contract.’
‘Is that what you are offering me?’ There is still a derision dripping from his words, but they lack their usual potency. ‘Affection and comfort? You would give this to me freely?’
‘No, I would not.’ You snap. ‘ If I were truly free, I would have taken the knife sheathed on my thigh and plunge it into your heart.’
For all your fantasising, you knew what harming, let alone killing your husband would mean for your family. For your dear sisters.
Something flashes in Aemond’s eye at your words. He eases back, the blade lifting from your skin by barely an inch. The wounds stings fiercely as the air hits it but you manage not to wince.
Your husband is tall enough that he can take his free hand and lift up your skirts, all while maintaining eye contact with you. Your breath hitches in indignation as his warm fingers run up your calf and over your knee, splaying out into a flat palm to run up your thigh as he searches.
You do not move.
When Aemond finds nothing he shifts his hand, moving to the opposite leg. When his fingers land on the dagger contained within the sheath, you see his own breath falter.
A grin spreads out onto your face. He hadn’t believed you.
You had surprised Aemond Targaryen.
With his eyes still on you and one hand still clutching the sheath on your leg, Aemond returns the Valyrian steel dagger to his belt. The now free hand moves to your neck, the pad of his thumb catching the bead of blood as it rolls down towards your clavicle.
With his eyes still on you, he pulls back the thumb now stained crimson and takes it into his mouth, lips closing over it and taking part of you into himself.
Your cheeks flush in fury, feeling that something else has been stolen from you.
He looks so satisfied, as though what he’s just consumed of you–both emotionally and physically–will feed him for years.
Letting out a furious groan you reach beneath your skirts and pull his hand from your thigh. You know he lets you do it, just as he lets you take your hands and hit out against his chest, shoving him away from you.
And yet, you still feel pleased with yourself when you see his eye widen slightly at the force of your push. He only just stops himself from staggering back, his now clean thumb falling from between his lips.
Aemond takes another step away from you, the carefully crafted impassivity returning to him.
But, the way he’s regarding you has changed. There’s a predatory glint in his eye that had not been there before. The sight of it makes your throat close up. You already miss his emotionless stare.
‘You should not concern yourself over the lack of consummation. If my brother dies, I will be King. And a King needs heirs. As does a Prince Regent.’ Aemond muses, revelling in the horror that blooms upon your face. ‘Enjoy the solitude while you have it, ñuha jorrāelagon. You may soon bear the burden of a queen.’
And with that he’s turning his back to you, the sound of his footfalls bruising you in a way the storm’s din couldn't.
But then, just before the towering doors, Aemond stops. He does not turn and yet you feel his attention on you all the same.
When he speaks, it is a whisper. A whisper that you should not hear at such a distance and over the thunder and yet somehow, you do.
You do not understand him, but you hear your husband's words.
‘Aōha perzys gaomas daor zālagon nyke, ābrazȳrys. Yn nyke raqagon se ōdres hen ziry’
(Your fire does not burn me, wife. But I enjoy the pain of it.)
And then, just like the first time you had met him, Aemond Targaryen departs a hall besieged by a storm, leaving you breathless with hatred in his wake.

“If i am with you” — gojo satoru.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is what he’d like life to always be like, he told himself. This is why he went out there and did his thing. Why he bothered with trying to change everything from within, why he was gathering allies for his vision. This was his hope. This was what he wanted, what everyone deserved. He was glad. To have a place that was his. A place to be Satoru. Not the strongest. Not Gojo Satoru. He just wanted to be who he was in these four walls. The father, the husband, the friend, the hugger, the joker, the cook, the man of the house. This is what he wanted. This is who he is.

YOU DON’T THINK YOU EVER HAD TROUBLE GIVING GIFTS. For all occasions, you seemed to be the best at it. Everyone of your colleagues would say you knew them too well when they opened their presents. But you were stumped this time around. You don’t remember any time in your life where you ever failed at knowing what to give someone for father’s day.
Your father always liked what you gave him, especially ones you worked hard to make. You still remember when your father passed, you found all the father’s day cards and trinkets you’ve made him over the years. He especially loved the mewtwo one you gave him, during his last father’s day. That one he kept on his Jujutsu uniform when he passed.
But this time around, you think you really do not know what to give a first time father for his special day. Father’s Day was coming up, and you wanted it to be special. It was Satoru's first Father's Day as Satoshi's father, and you wanted to make sure it was memorable. Being a father was Satoru’s favorite thing about himself. And you wanted it to be great.
You shifted things over and over for the past month. You had  pinterest boards of cute little arts and crafts. You had special sweet dishes he wanted to try. You had those little ads about the best gifts to give fathers on their special day. But nothing really was peaking your interest. They’re good but they’re not great. And your husband deserved great, nothing less.
You wanted to give him the very best, because he gives you everything. He was there the moment Satoshi was born, he was there the moment you and him took guardianship of Megumi and Tsumiki. He was always doing what he could, from always doing everything when he was around to making sure he spends time with the kids when he had time off, most especially on family Sunday.
But as days passed — there was nothing that stuck as being the great thing that one could give to the best father you know. You pouted as you slapped the top of your head lightly. You’ve dug through everything and anything in your brain for days and days and here you were, panicking as two days remained before that special day. You had to come up with something before he got home. As you pondered over what to do, your thoughts were interrupted by Megumi.
“Hey, can you help me with something?” he asked, holding a piece of paper.
You blinked at Megumi and nodded. “Yeah, what’s up?”
“I’m trying to draw a family tree for school….”
“Uh huh….”
“But……. I don’t know much about my mom….or my dad.” He reveals to you, face echoing a scarlet fluster. “And I don’t….really know much about the Zenin clan.”
Your heart ached for him. Megumi didn’t know your Toji nii–sama, his own father, nor did he know much about his mother. You wondered sometimes how you were robbed of your father at such a young age, but you look at Megumi and Tsumiki and you wonder how it was for them. Because you at least remembered your beloved father. And they did not have that luxury.
Megumi has had a hard time trying to remember the past. And you can’t blame him or Tsumiki. His mother passed away soon after he was born. Megumi was three when Toji nii–sama left them with that woman he remarried. And only a year or two later, she too disappeared. The world was stacked against the two of them.
You sighed, crossing your arms. You don’t even think it would be good to talk about the family you had grown up with either. The only ones truly worth liking are Mai and Maki. The rest were not worth noting.
After all, the Zenin clan’s history was complicated and often painful. None truly needed to know more than those words. You hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. The memories of Toji nii–sama were bittersweet, filled with both love and sorrow too. And that’s not something you were ready to talk about.
Before you could decide, Tsumiki walked in with a small smile. “Gen–san! Do we have any paint? I need it for a project.”
You and Megumi blink before you returned her smile and went to search the drawers. “You need help with the project,’miki?”
“No, thank you, Gen–san.” She grins at you waving her hands. “You don’t need to, I can do it!”
“You sure?”
“One hundred present.”
You handed her a small box of paints. “Here you go, ‘miki.”
She smiled brightly. “Thanks!” She hurried off, leaving you alone with Megumi again.
You took a deep breath and prepared yourself for the memory lane. You slowly started explaining some of the Zenin family history to Megumi, being careful not to overwhelm him with too many details. The one thing you didn’t want to do was to cause him some trouble with all of this. He’s still a kid. He would be fine with trying to know this when he’s a bit older.
“The Zenin family is one of the three great sorcerer families. Your father, Toji, was... unique among them. He’s my father’s cousin, so that makes me his first cousin, once removed. But he was like a brother to me.”
“First cousin once removed? What does that mean?”
“It means we’re one generation away in relation.” You pointed it out to him on the paper. “Because he and my dad were born from siblings, they are cousins. I am his first cousin.”
He narrowed his eyes, as though trying to understand. “Then what does that make me, you and ‘miki?”
“First cousins twice removed, for me to you.” You tell him, pointing again on the paper. “But since your dads are brothers, you guys are first cousins. But there’s two generations between me and both of you.”
“And then what’s Maki-san and Mai-san to you, me and ‘miki?”
“Maki and Mai are your second aunt, they’re born from your second grand uncle.” You say to him, trying to focus to not forget details. “Maki and Mai are my…..first cousins once removed, like your dad. ‘miki and you are their second nephew and niece.”
“Since your father was their cousin?”
“Yeah, That’s right, that’s right.”
Megumi listened intently, absorbing the information. You could see him trying to piece together the fragmented bits of his past. As he started drawing his family tree, you guided him, filling in names and relationships where you could. You talked about Toji nii-sama and his wife, but only briefly. You think it would be best if he asks you about it one day. You don’t want to push much on him. The Zenin family tree was already a lot to deal with.
“Is that all you need from me, ‘gumi?” You asked him as he started to finish up his work and he nodded at you.
“Thank you for taking the time to help me, Gen-san.” You grinned at him, rubbing his head as he pouted. “You didn’t have to rub my head like that. What if I grow bald?”
“Then we’ll figure out if Shoko can use the reverse curse technique on your hair!”
As you finished helping Megumi clean up the papers, your thoughts drifted back to Father’s Day. You still had time to plan something special for Satoru, seeing as he would probably come back tomorrow. Seeing Megumi’s determination and curiosity reminded you of the importance of perseverance. You’ll get that great present for him—
“Yahoo~”
You felt your eye twitch for some reason. Your husband, Gojo Satoru waved as he removed his bandages and took his dark rimmed glasses and wore them. He grinned at everyone from the genkan. You didn’t know he’d be back this soon. As soon as he stepped away from the genkan with his house slippers, he was greeted by the sight of Satoshi crawling towards him, his little face lighting up with a big smile. Satoshi had long abandoned his little blocks—his interest now was greeting his beloved father. Satoru picked him up, lifting him high into the air, making Satoshi giggle with delight.
“Hey there, little guy!” Satoru cooed, nuzzling his son with a loving gaze.
You emerged from the kitchen, surprised to see him. “You’re home early!”
“Yeah, it was not that hard to defeat the cursed spirit this time around.” He says as you walked over to him and kissed his cheek. “So I’m here.”
“Well I’m glad you’re here, safe and sound.”
“Me too!” He cheered as he tickled your son, who laughed. “Oh, it’s good to be home with family~”
“Oh, you remember about ‘miki’s performance tomorrow, right?”
Satoru grinned. “Of course I remember! One of the reasons I even came home early. Wouldn’t miss singing ‘miki sing her heart out~”
Just then, Tsumiki came rushing in. “Satoru-san! You’re home!” she exclaimed, wrapping her arms around his waist.
Satoru crouched down to hug her properly with his free arm, with a smile. “Of course I am! I wouldn’t miss your performance for anything.”
Tsumiki beamed with excitement, her eyes sparkling. “I’m so happy you’re here! I can’t wait for you to see me sing tomorrow.”
After a moment, Satoru stood up and spotted Megumi in the corner of the room, looking stressed. “Hey, Megumi,” he greeted, concern evident in his voice. “Everything okay?”
You stepped in, explaining, “He’s still having a hard time digesting how we’re related. He asked for help in the family tree project for school. It’s been a bit overwhelming.”
“Oh? You mean the Zenin family tree?” He snickered back at you. “It’s a whole mess of a knot, isn’t it, ‘gumi?”
You lightly hit his arm. “Hey, its just as bad as the Gojo–Mikoto family tree!”
“It’s not my fault our ancestors liked each other.” You gasped at him.
“Satoru, not in front of the kids!”
“I mean….you and I are related too—”
“La la la, we shouldn’t be talking anymore–”
“You guys are so loud.” Megumi frowns as he crosses his arms on his chest.
Satoru walked over to Megumi and ruffled his hair gently. “Don’t worry, Megumi. You don’t have to worry. You finally got out of the family knot—”
“You’re insufferable, Satoru!”
“Hey, it’s not wrong if it's true!”
“Oh, I think the food's done!”
“This is going to be a long night.”
Tumblr media
YOU STILL DIDN’T HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR YOUR PRESENT. You wished you could hit your head on the wall, to try and get an answer. But it would hurt and you would start crying even more. So you opted to suffer in silence. Satoru wanted to be early, because he feared he’ll miss the performance.
So, you all head to the school together. Gojo Satoshi happily giggled as he was nestled in the baby carrier strapped to Satoru's chest, gurgling with delight at the new surroundings. At least your baby was the cutest boy in the world. He’s so beautiful in your husband’s arms.
As you walk, your mind races with. You still didn’t know what to give Satoru for Father’s Day, despite texting Shoko, Nanami, and even his wife for ideas. Nothing seemed quite right. Shoko suggested making a cake for Satoru but you do that all the time already. Nanami and his wife suggested making mochi but your husband buys that all the time already too.
You could feel a heaviness in you. What do you think is worthy to give as a gift to the best father in the whole world? You still didn’t know and that frustrates you. When have you ever been this stumped over a present?
“Are you okay?” Satoru asks, noticing your distraction.
You force a smile. “I’m fine, just a bit nervous. It’s my first time attending a much bigger school function like this. Well…for the kids.”
He gives you a reassuring smile and squeezes your hand. “Hey, don’t worry. I’m sure they’ll not mind that you’re nervous.”
“Maybe you’re right…..” You let out a gruntled sigh.
“I’m always right, darling~”
“Uh, uh, don’t push it.”
As you arrive in the auditorium, you find your seats among the other parents. The school’s auditorium buzzed with excitement, people were whispering and talking with one another. Many parents took time off to cheer for their kids too, you think.
Satoru whispered to Satoshi, about how he should cheer for Tsumiki when she comes out. You smiled at them as you look at the stage. You don’t know when Tsumiki was going to be up. But there’s quite a few teams in her grade, after all.
Each team that came sung a song that they made themselves. It was quite impressive, seeing young kids just being so lively and artistic. Jujutsu High didn’t really have much of these things, and even then, you and Satoru really didn’t attend any schooling outside your own clan’s comforts until you were of age to attend Jujutsu High.
So both of you were going to enjoy this, enjoying watching these kids have better joys than you ever had. Satoru was quite excited, clapping along and soon followed by your son who was also giggling and clapping along with his father.
Then when it finally came time, you immediately spot Tsumiki as she giggles nervously. She comes out with her team. Tsumiki shyly sent a wave, which made her pigtails bounce slightly. She was happy to see that you were both there. Your husband waved back, enthusiastically. You smiled as you waved too. But then Satoru immediately cheers, his voice booming with pride.
“That’s my kid!” Satoru shouts proudly, his eye glasses nearly falling off. Everyone was looking at you all. “You guys, isn’t she pretty?”
“Satoru, sit down!”
“But ‘miki looks cool! I wanna hype her up!”
“But she’s about to perform!”
The music starts and the auditorium turns dark. The lighting starts on cue and Tsumiki is the first to sing. You were in awe as she started mixing that with dancing too. Satoru immediately pulled his phone out and started recording with excited giggles. But it was quick to notice how he started to shift.
When he suddenly goes quiet, eyes wide with surprise. On the back of Tsumiki’s shirt, in those bright glittery bold letters, is written, "Gojo Tsumiki." Satoru glances around, noticing that all the other kids have their last names printed on their shirts too.
Tsumiki stops at the side as attention goes to another member of her group. Tsumiki waves at Satoru, her smile brilliantly radiant. Overcome with emotion, Gojo Satoru turns his head and buries his face in Satoshi’s tiny shoulder. Satoshi lets out a sound as though asking his dad if he was alright. You sighed, patting his shoulder.
You lean in, whispering, “Are you crying?”
His voice muffled, he replies, “No, I’m not.”
After the performance, Fushiguro Tsumiki runs over to greet you both, her face glowing with happiness to have spotted you. They won the top spot today, when Satoru was the loudest for. She was waving her medal as she rushed over to you both. You take Satoshi from Satoru, freeing him to hug Tsumiki tightly.
“You were amazing out there, kid.” Satoru says, his voice thick with pride. “I’m so proud of you.”
Tsumiki smiles up at him. “Thank you, Satoru-san!”
“You didn’t have to do that, you know! I was surprised, you wore my name on your back.”
“But I wanted to.” She beams at your husband shyly. “I can’t legally change my name, but I wanted everyone to see your name on my shirt, Satoru-san. After all, you’re the dad I have.”
Satoru starts to thank her, but his words become a jumble of emotions. Warm tears stream down his face, and you realize Tsumiki too started crying and wiping her tears. You let out a small sigh and smiled at them. You quickly pull out a tissue wrap and gently wipe Satoru and Tsumiki’s cheeks.
“Thank you for this, ‘miki.” he finally manages to say. “You have no idea how much this means to me.”
She beams, her eyes sparkling with joy. “I’m glad you liked it, Satoru-san.”
“I’m going to go and hang up that shirt in a frame, okay? I’m gonna put it in my office!”
Tsumiki grinned. “I’ll be happy every time I see it there!”
“Me too!” Your husband cried with joy.
“Gugah!” Gojo Satoshi joined in.
“Yeah, what he said!”
Tumblr media
SATOSHI WAS FALLING ASLEEP. Satoru cooed as he cradled him back and forth, humming to your little son as he was trying to get him to sleep. Satoshi was getting cranky by the end of the picture taken for the group and when you noticed, Satoru refused to hand your little son to you. He said that he was making much of what time he had your little dawn. If he had to fall asleep, it would be in his arms. You didn’t have the heart to deny your husband, because you could see the love in his eyes shining through. And so you let him do as he pleased as you and Tsumiki sat down on the bench together.
As the program concluded, Tsumiki’s class was told that the rest of the day was to be dismissed. Since it would be time to prepare for the first term exams next month, they thought a day break is not going to be too bad. Coincidentally, it was also already nearly time to pick up Megumi. So, you decided to wait outside his classroom until his class was over.
You were mulling over what would be a good dinner today, so you were trying to remember what you had in your fridge. Tsumiki had some suggestions and you took them in mind, but she was having cravings for something hot. And you kept thinking a spicy hot pot was going to be good. But a good question would be if your husband could take the spice. He really isn’t one to tolerate things he didn’t like. And every time you ate something spicy together, he seemed to not be as bothered.
It wasn't long before  the bell rang in the school and you could see Megumi emerging, looking flustered. His hands were tightly pressed against his backpack straps. You quickly stood up, to take his school bag from him, but he pouts and tells you off softly. You nodded at him and ruffled up his hair tenderly with a small smile.
Satoru was quick to ask, “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Megumi replied swiftly, and sensing his reluctance to talk, no one pressed further.
Tsumiki sang as she opened the door into the house. Satoshi was found asleep in the carrier while you started to tell the kids to go get some rest before they showered. You went to the fridge immediately while your husband settled your little dawn down. Satoru emerged from the nursery and smiled at you when he immediately suggested hotpot, a cozy meal perfect for the occasion, and since Tsumiki was craving something spicy, you could just add some togarashi on her bowl.
As you and Satoru were talking in the kitchen about how grateful you were for the kids and what you guys should do tomorrow since it was still an off day, you felt Megumi approaching you. You looked at him as he pulled at your shirt. He lowered his gaze, his cheeks round and red. He opens his mouth but he doesn’t say anything. Satoru watches as he mouths towards you, asking what's going on. But you shook your head, not knowing what to say. Megumi gathered up his courage and then slowly placed a placard from his hands to yours. You could tell he was a bit hesitant to even hand it to you.
“I didn’t think it was right to submit in a Zenin family tree.” Megumi began, his voice steady but quiet. “I barely know them.”
You and Satoru looked at the placard together. It was simple, but it was colorful enough that you could call it lively. You could tell Megumi did it, it was his style. He likes beauty in simplicity. The tree was big enough to encompass all the information that he knew about each and everyone on the tree. Just as much, tender pictures that were neatly placed.
On it, Megumi had written that you were his mom and Satoru was his dad. Tsumiki was listed as his elder sister, and Satoshi as his younger brother. The simplicity and honesty of it touched your heart deeply. On the top, he wrote, ‘my family’ in that neat lettering that you had grown so fond of.
“I had to discuss my family tree and talk about my family,” Megumi explained bashfully, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. “I’m not gonna talk about strangers.”
You and Satoru looked at one another, eyes glossy with striking tears that were threatening to fall. When did you both deserve such beautiful happiness? What could you have both possibly done that made you both worthy of the love these kids have given you? You smiled at Megumi, looking at the placard again.
Satoru’s eyes softened as he pulled Megumi into a hug, ruffling his hair with a laugh. “I’m so proud of you, Megumi. You’re right, family is about who’s there for you.”
Megumi mumbled, “Stop hugging me so tightly.” but there was no real resistance in his voice.
Satoru chuckled, “I just want to hug my son.”
“‘am not your son—”
“Too late, the placard says it. We’re adopting you!”
“We should have this framed.” You say as you gently touch the placard with a grin. “I’m putting it in the living room.”
“Please don’t do it.”
“Oh wifey, that’s a great idea!”
“It’s really not.”
“Not valid to your dad, son!”
Tumblr media
IT WAS AN ENJOYABLE TIME AFTER THAT.  Your beloved little dawn Gojo Satoshi woke up just as dinner was finishing, and the whole family came back out and sat on the table all together to enjoy a lovely meal. The atmosphere was warm and filled with laughter and it was how it should always be. The meal was delicious. Tsumiki was right about the spice. It tasted good on yosenabe. As you predicted, Satoru didn’t like the spice and opted for some soy sauce. Megumi was satisfied with the taste without any condiments.
Dinner together was never quiet. Satoru made many jokes today, almost half of which are dad jokes. Megumi felt bashful about them, but you knew that he liked them. Satoshi and Tsumiki giggled at each and every one of Satoru’s little quips. You laughed too, until it hurt your cheeks to do so. If there was anyone who could be the light in the home, the one who makes life ever so beautiful, it would be your husband.
As you ate your mushrooms over the dashi, as Megumi drank his cup of orange juice, as Tsumiki grabbed a bite of her little pudding, Satoru couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and contentment. He had never imagined having a family this warm and loving, but here it was, a reality that he cherished deeply.
After dinner, the kids played for a long while. Satoshi had the most fun, trying to force himself to stand up. Megumi was making sure that he was not gonna fall, Tsumiki was excited to see Satoshi walk towards them. But the excitement also died down and everyone went to watch a movie. Tonight was Satoru’s pick and he chose Monsters vs. Aliens. He enjoyed it quite a lot, as much as the kids did. Satoshi had a blast copying the facial expressions of Insectosaurus which cracked Satoru up for hours.
But now the older kids had gone and went to bed, and Satoshi was playing with his puzzle pieces just behind the couch. The rest of the night was you and Satoru both staying up to tidy up the house. It was already midnight by the time you finished. Both of you lunged together on the couch, exhausted. Satoshi, now disinterested with the puzzle, went and played with his squishy toys.
You looked at the clock and then to your husband Satoru and, with a hint of regret in your voice, said, “I’m sorry I didn’t get you anything for Father’s Day.”
Satoru looked at you and snickered. He shook his head and pulled you into a gentle embrace. “You don’t need to apologize, darling. You’ve given me everything I could ever want for Father’s Day. You made all of this possible.”
“But I just….I wanted to give you something great.”
He looked into your eyes, his expression filled with love and gratitude. “You already have given me something great. You gave me a home, warmth, and the loveliest family. It’s everything, darling. It’s more than anyone could ask for in this life.”
“I love you, my love. More than you know.”
Cerulean eyes met your lilac. “I love you too, darling. More than life itself.”
You hit his hand lightly. “You keep one upping me.”
He laughs. “I have to make sure you know I’m the one who loves you the most.”
“I already do.”
“And I’ll tell you everyday.”
“I should hope so.”
“Until we’re old and wrinkled.”
You laugh. “Is that going to be your case, handsome?”
“I reckon I’ll always be handsome.”
You sigh at him lovingly. “You always will be.”
Satoru kissed your cheek. “Thank you for being the light of my home. I wouldn’t be the father I am without you by my side.”
“And I wouldn’t be the mother I am without you.”
“If I am with you, it will be happiness.” He whispers under his breath. “If I am with you, I’m going to be alive.”
“You make me fall in love with you over and over.”
He grins at you. “That’s the point. For all of our lives and even beyond that, darling.”
You hugged him tighter, feeling the strength and sincerity of his words. In that quiet, tender moment, you realized that the best gifts are often not material but the love and support we give each other every day. As you stood there, wrapped in each other’s arms, you felt an overwhelming sense of peace and fulfillment.
You had your family all together.
With all its warmth and love, this was it.
This was truly the greatest gift of all.
As long as you were with him, it was alright.
Life would be the best there ever was.

epilogue
You were preparing to get to bed, but Satoshi was being rowdy, and the morning sun was already beginning to peek through the windows. Satoru, seeing how tired you were, gently told you, “Go to bed. I’ll meet you there once Satoshi’s asleep.”
Grateful for his understanding, you nodded and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower. The warm water helped soothe your tired muscles, and you felt more relaxed as you got ready for bed.
Meanwhile, Satoru was cradling Satoshi, rocking him gently in his arms. Satoshi, still full of energy, reached for his papa’s face, his tiny fingers patting Satoru’s cheeks. He giggled, his eyes bright and mischievous.
Satoru smiled down at him, murmuring softly, “Come on, little guy, it’s time to sleep.”
Satoshi started babbling, his sounds turning into something more distinct. Suddenly, he said, “Dada.”
Both you and Satoru’s eyes went wide in surprise and delight. You had just stepped out of the bathroom when you heard it. A smile broke across your face, and you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Did he just say...?” you began, looking at Satoru.
“Yeah, he did,” Satoru replied, his cerulean eyes shining with pride and happiness. “Satoshi said his first word!”
You walked over to them, and Satoru pulled you into the embrace, Satoshi nestled between you both. “His first word on Father’s Day,” Satoru whispered, emotion thick in his voice. “It’s perfect.”
You kissed Satoshi’s forehead and then Satoru’s cheek, feeling a profound sense of joy. “Happy Father’s Day, Satoru. You deserve all the happiness in the world.”
As the morning sun continued to rise, you finally crawled into bed, feeling the comforting presence of Satoru beside you. Satoshi was peacefully asleep in his crib, the excitement of the early morning finally wearing him out.
You turned to Satoru, who was lying on his side, his eyes still glowing with the joy of Satoshi’s first word. “You know,” you said softly, “I couldn’t have planned a better Father’s Day gift than this.”
Satoru smiled, reaching out to gently brush a strand of hair from your face. “I don’t think anything could top that. Hearing him say ‘Dada’ for the first time… it’s just perfect.”
You both lay there for a moment, soaking in the tranquility of the morning and the profound happiness that filled the room. “I’ve been thinking about how to show you how much you mean to us,” you confessed, “but seeing you with the kids, seeing how much they love you, that’s what really matters.”
Satoru pulled you closer, his warmth enveloping you. “You’ve given me everything I could ever want. This family, our home, the love we share… It's more than I ever imagined. Thank you for making it all possible.”
You rested your head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. “We did it together, Satoru. We built this life together.”
He kissed the top of your head, his lips lingering as if to imprint the moment in his memory. “And we’ll keep building it, one day at a time.”
The peaceful silence stretched on, and slowly, exhaustion began to claim you. As you drifted off to sleep, you felt a deep sense of contentment and love. The morning had brought an unexpected gift, one that underscored the beauty of the family you had created.
Satoru held you close, his thoughts echoing yours. He watched as you fell asleep, his heart full of gratitude and love. For him, this Father’s Day was not just about a celebration—it was a reminder of the journey you had taken together, the hardships you had overcome, and the beautiful life you had built.
As the sun climbed higher in the sky, filling the room with a warm glow, Satoru finally closed his eyes, ready to join you in sleep. The house was quiet, filled with the peaceful breaths of a family deeply connected by love and the promise of many more joyful moments to come.

RotJ makes a point of letting us know that Leia is Luke's sister, they've known this on some level for a long time, and he probably cares more about her than anyone in the world because this gives so much more weight to his conflict at the end of the movie, and I think this is a huge thing people overlook when they argue that him redeeming his father represents a rejection of the old Jedi ways of non-attachment. Because in the moment he has to let go of Leia and his friends to be able to actually save Anakin.
When Obi-Wan tries to convince Luke that he has to kill Vader and there's no other way, he doesn’t really discuss it as an issue of Luke having an attachment to him. I think he knows this isn't really the Jedi way but just like in the previous war, they don't seem to be faced with any good choices. Obi-Wan believes what Luke wants is truly impossible and, having failed to stop Vader when he could have before, of course he's trying to stop Luke from making the same mistake.
But it's significant that in the same conversation, Obi-Wan does warn him that his love for his sister could be made a liability if he's not careful. When Luke learns he has a twin and reveals how strong a connection he feels with Leia because he doesn't even have to be told who it is, Obi-Wan's response sets up how this will play into the climax of the film:
"Your insight serves you well. Bury your feelings deep down, Luke. They do you credit, but they could be made to serve the Emperor."
Then when Luke is brought to Sidious, he reveals to Luke that the Rebellion is walking right into a trap as a way to torment and provoke him. Luke gets angrier and angrier while helplessly watching the fleet get ambushed and finally does just what Sidious wants and tries to attack him. But it's Vader specifically threatening Leia that makes Luke totally lose control of his feelings and fight him in a rage.
Luke is basically facing the same kind of test he failed so badly in ESB by running off to help his friends. When Yoda is trying to make him see he's not ready to face Vader and keep him from going to Bespin, he says something that I think is such an underrated quote in its importance to Luke's whole journey:
"Decide you must how to serve them best. If you leave now, help them you could, but you would destroy all for which they have fought and suffered."
Luke is really lucky he doesn't get killed in Cloud City (or captured, which I think at this point could have resulted in him being turned). Yoda knows Luke is the one person with a chance of defeating the Emperor and Luke just about throws that away.
But at the end of RotJ when Luke cuts off Vader's hand, he surely is reminded of his failure at Bespin and sees the path he's starting down by succumbing to his fears like that again. He stops because he sees he's betraying his loved ones and everything he is. He can only throw away his weapon and confidently tell the Emperor to eat shit then because he's no longer afraid of dying or of those he loves dying. He's done what his father couldn't do and kept his soul intact, which is what Leia would want. Because real love isn't selfishly trying to save someone by betraying what they believe in like Anakin did with Padme. And it obviously has to be an incredibly powerful thing for Vader to see his own son able to do this, even comparing himself to the man he once was ("I am a Jedi, like my father before me").
We remember everything working out okay so it's easy sometimes to forget that Luke gives this triumphant speech when the rebel fleet is getting pulverized outside and things overall still look pretty hopeless. He probably expects he could die at this point. But like Obi-Wan in his own death scene, he knows nothing can destroy him now. And it's the love he feels for his family that gives him the strength to let go.

luke’s scene in rotj where he throws down his lightsaber and says, “I’ll never turn to the dark side. you failed, your highness. i am a jedi, like my father before me,” makes me more and more emotional each time i see it. it’s such a triumph and it’s such a brave stand—not only because luke is literally facing down death with no real expectations of escaping the death star ii, which on its own has such impact—but because he is more or less declaring himself a heretic. the only two jedi left alive do not believe vader can be saved. vader himself believes he is far past saving. palpatine is so poised for victory, so assured in his complete control over not only luke’s fall but also his control over vader, that he is happy to torture luke in front of vader, absolutely convinced that vader will do nothing to stop it. in light of the prequel trilogy, it’s made even more powerful: the jedi disavowed having children as an extension of attachments, a matter of course for the old jedi order. but when luke is in his moment of greatest need, he calls out to his father, and his father answers. ultimately, it’s their forbidden familial relationship that defines them as jedi—luke becomes a jedi in honor of his father, and his father turns back from the dark side (a feat thought impossible until that very instance) and recalls the jedi knight anakin skywalker, all for his son. and that’s all in defiance of what the jedi were told to be, what obi-wan and yoda believed, what palpatine never thought possible! luke redefines what a jedi is when he throws down his weapon. he trusts in the power of his connection to his father, their attachment to each other, and when he does that? luke skywalker topples the empire.

Wine settles the nerves | Aegon II Targaryen x implied Strong!Reader
A/N: As I am not fluent in Valyrian, please excuse any mistakes in the translations etc, thank you !
Tumblr media
“Ah six years since we’ve last seen our blood my dear brother.” You sigh as you walk along side the quiet dark haired lad.
“Cheerful are you ?” Jace inquires with a slight smirk forming. “Oh Jace ! Please enlighten me !” You laugh, pulling at your elder brothers arm. “If you had it your way we would’ve never of left Dragonstone, y/n.”
“Lyka” (Quiet) You tease, giving him a playful punch to the shoulder. “What does that word mean again ?” Jace wonders, raising a brow. You simply scoff before turning to run off only to be chased by him. “It’s not my fault you somehow manage to be skilled speaking our mother tongue !”
Oh how the roar of your laughter could’ve been heard throughout the seven kingdoms.
Time Skip…
You were late. You can recall so vividly how your mother, the realm’s delight softly scolding you on any occasion for never arriving on time while your father figure Daemon sat back surprisingly for once holding back his laugh.
But now here you were practically running to the throne room with your small heels clicking against the ground and your black and red dress slightly swooshing away. The same exact dress your mother gave you some time ago, that she once wore years ago where she had slaughtered some boar.
But you knew how important this was.
Your younger brother Lukes right to Driftmark was being questioned and you would not just stand aside and not let your support for him be unknown.
As you slyly snuck by your cousins Beala and Rhaena you hear
“Princess Rhaenyra, you may now speak for your son Lucerys Velaryion “ Spoke the sneaky hand of the king.
“Where have you been ?” Jace asks, tilting his head. Your mother spared you a glance before walking up front to address everyone. It was only truly now in the moment you could take in the scene before you. You swore to keep your head low out of respect yet your curious eyes betrayed you as you scan right over to the gleaming light that was green.
It had only been half a decade since you last seen your aunt and uncles yet it felt like a century. Years back before Vhagar’s now rider had lost his eye, you had gotten along quite well with the young boy and his older sister.
However the same could not of been said for Aegon. He always had his nose stuck in a cup drinking and it bored you nonetheless. You can recall multiple occasions where you repeatingly stole this cup and then ran round the yard forcing him to chase you while he slightly struggled due to the wine intake.
As the young prince seemed so desperate for the precious cup you had made a joke how he should have the blacksmiths make him the finest jewellery out of the cup so the chances of it being stolen again was unlikely.
The last time you had seen Aegon before returning to Dragonstone, he placed a ring on a string and practically flung it at you and called it a day. Yet when you actually had the chance to study the “necklace” you couldn’t help but notice the striking resemblance its appearance had to the cup he had chased you for.
“Well ?” Jace says, impatiently waiting for your response. Your eyes were practicing glued to the sight of the greens. They all stood tall, especially Aemond who now wore a patch over his lost eye yet your eyes couldn’t move away from his older brother who’s hair was now cut and lacked the vibrant curls they once had. He seemed to have not noticed your stare as he himself stared off almost as if he was deprived whether it be sleep or alcohol or both you were unsure.
You turn to your brother who seemed to be the only one noticing your longing gaze yet made no comment about it.
“I was just-
Just then the booming noise of the doors opening rang through the room and a guard called out the titlements of your grandsire. At the sudden loud noise you gasp, instantly hiding behind the rogue prince like a small child. Daemon takes notice of this and sends his kind smile your way.
You couldn’t help but admire not only your grandsire but also your king as even at his weakness still came to defend not only Lucerys but you and your mother as well.
As usual at any gathering suddenly events took a turn and Daemon killed Vaemond Velaryon in front of you all. You cower back into your mothers arms as she drapes her arm protectively over you knowing you couldn’t bare the gruesome sight.
You were late. Again.
The king ordered for a family dinner where everyone where to be present and yet suddenly the dreaded thought dawned on you that you would see everyone again. You were definitely in need of a confidence boost. As you stood in the dark corridor you shakingly run your hands continuously over your dress your eye catches a serving girl with cups of wine on her plate. “Excuse me !” You call to the serving girl.
“Where is y/n ?” Viserys croaked, slowly tilting his head towards Rhaenyra. Although the music continued, everyone stopped to raise their head to notice the empty seat next to Baela. “Rhaenyra.” Alicent spoke softly. “Where is she ?” She inquires.
The others dip back to their fallen conversations but Rhaenyra breaths stop for a brief moment. She doesn’t know where you exactly are and when she shares a glance with Daemon she learns that he doesn’t know either.
“My my everyone’s already here !”
You bow respectfully while trying not to trip before your king and then place a gentle kiss on your grandsire cheek and make your way to your empty seat. Of course completely missing the horrified look on the queens face and the confusion on your poor mothers. Everyone had already began drinking and could tell you started before them all. Luke couldn’t help but laugh as you simply sat down and smiled while being completely dazed. “y/n ? Are you alright ?” Baela asked, despite knowing the answer.
“Yes.” You chirped. “Indeed I am, cousin.” You smile, patting the Velaryon girls hand.
Your eyes regretfully turn to face in front of you to see Daemon like Luke, finding amusement in your state while your mother gives you that look that she gives in her eyes to say we’ll talk later.
Avoiding her stare, you turn to face Luke to indulge in conversation while not even noticing the silver head at the opposite end of the table staring your way. Soon, out of the corner of your eye you see Aegon speaking to your brother and you can’t help but wonder. If Aegon had no problem engaging in simple conversation with the others than what had set you apart from the rest ?
As soon as Jace got up to dance with Helaena, you unsteadily slipped out of your chair and stole Jaces seat, taking the spot next to the elder prince.
“Uncle ?” You whisper, all of a sudden becoming timid. It was as if the wine was instantly drained from your system.
“You have grown, niece.” He spoke rather coldly, reaching for his cup.
“Can’t you at least spare me a glance ?” You say, snatching the cup from him.
Aegon huffs as he sunk down into his chair , slowly tilting his head to you. His tired eyes meet yours and yet suddenly it feels too intimate.
You raise a brow as suddenly his eyes widen and he sits up straighter in his chair and his just then his hand reaches for your neck.
“You’re wearing it.” He mutters in disbelief.
“What ?” You question, looking down to see his fingers clutching the ring attached to your necklace. You can practically feel the queen’s eyes burning into you like a dragons breath yet you’re currently struggling to meet Aegon’s eyes let alone his mothers.
“Aegon I-
Instantly there’s a loud bang.
Your eyes momentarily meets that of the rider of the largest dragon and there he stood with a cup in his hand.
“Final tribute.” He confidently spoke.
“To the health of my nephews.”
You can’t help but be slightly relieved that Aemond completely disregarded your presence. You knew what was to come so to avoid the madness you stood up quietly leaving behind you could hear Jace daring Aemond to repeat himself. No more did you want to hear.
Time Skip…
After taking some needed fresh air, you decided that it was time to head back inside and face your mother as you could already imagine what she would say.
No more dragon riding !
You knew that you were suppose to be accompanied by a guard while outside yet since the wine was now drained from your system you could no longer feel the urge to hold a conversation. You let out a tiresome sigh and as you turn you gasp as suddenly a hand grabs your wrist. You calm as you notice it was only the silver head prince himself.
“Skorion jaelagon a ?” (What you want ?) You sigh, trying to pull away.
“Dohaeriakson raqan.” (I like to be served) He whispered, pulling you closer by the waist. “Struggled to find a servant girl did you, my prince ?” You wonder, tilting your head slightly.
“Earlier you were practically begging for my attention, now here you are acting like it’s the other way around.”
“That is due to the fact I am no longer persuaded by wine.”
“I saw the way you looked at me in the throne room, y/n.” He says, hiding in your neck before sneakingly placing a kiss under your jaw. Your eyes can’t help but widen at his words. You were sure that he hadn’t of seen you yet you clearly stood mistaken.
“You think that strong boy was the only one who caught that look ?” You can practically feel his smirk pressed against your skin. “Don’t call him that.” You groan, rolling your eyes at the typical comment.
“Do you feel that ?” He whispers, dragging your hand down low. Despite him removing his hand, yours lingers for a few more seconds. “That is for no serving girl.” He proudly claims. “How honoured I am.” You laugh.
“You’ve really kept it after all this time ?” He asks with an almost pleading look evident in his eyes as he stares down at your necklace. “Of course.” You mutter, slightly playing with the string.
Slowly but surely you find yourself moving closer, craving to be in his presence just like before and maybe to even-
“What’s going on here ?”
You turn round, horrified to see the sight of your own mother standing there with a guard behind her. “M-mother I-“ You stutter, not able to comprehend what was happening. “y/n we are to be heading back to Dragonstone. We cannot waste another moment here.” Rhaenyra states, glaring at her half brother.
“Please escort the princess back to her brothers.” Rhaenyra ordered the guard. Your head hangs low as you head back with the guard, tears already welling up in your eyes. Rhaenyra steps closer to the younger Targaryen. “Whatever happened here, ends now.” She promises.
“We’ll see about that.” Aegon smirks.
No more dragon riding !

oh well … I just finished the episode and as a luke stan, this hurt in every single way and angle.
there’s a lot I could say (and I will) but I want to focus on how, during the confrontation Luke doesn’t act like your typical storybook villain. there's no malicious smirk, no sinister laughter, no scornful remarks about Percy's trust. there is no “I can’t believe you trusted me” or berating in any way. he doesn't belittle or exude confidence; instead, he stands devoid of arrogance, pleading.
he is there, and he’s begging him. he’s pleading him to understand. because they walked on the same path. they lost their mothers to a God. and sure, you could argue that Sally never described Poseidon as a monster and neither did May. but I wonder, to what extent can the love of a profound being envelop you without sculpting you into a poignant victim of its depth? “trust me I know” and it’s the second time Luke agrees when Percy talks about his mother. he knows, he’s been there. history - fate - is repeating itself. he can’t stop it, he tried with his mom. but he is still trying and trying and trying. he tried so desperately, to alter the narrative etched in the stars, to rewrite the script that destiny had penned. but it didn’t work back then. but maybe this time …?
when I say I’m thinking about the parallels between Percy and Luke I mean I am thinking about their relationships with their parents, with their mothers, with how their fathers left their mothers (albeit Poseidon’s actions didn’t make Sally go insane) and thinking about how everything Percy does is because of and for his mother and thinking about how Luke sees himself in Percy and thinking about how Luke never got to have the type of relationship with his mom that Percy has with his because of the gods and I’m thinking of how home is the first place you learn to run from, and how losing faith in your father is like losing faith in a God. but what when he’s both? and I think of how Percy almost lost his mom because of the gods. I think of their shared pain, one fighting for the love he has and the other for the love he lost.
and oh, the hesitancy to pull a sword on Percy. he still saw Percy as his brother. they could’ve been a family, all of them. him, Percy, Annabeth. they could’ve been one happy family, without the burden of their parents, the constant quests, the fighting, the dying.
because, imagine this. you are seventeen and coming back from a failed quest that your father tossed at you like trash, with a scar that will forever be imprinted on your face. the gods, once the pillars of your purpose, have now withdrawn their interest, rendering you a discarded pawn in their divine game. and the realization strikes like a thunderbolt – you are useless to them. you are useless. years of training and fighting and bleeding until you were on your knees, yet you are of no use to them. so who are you then? and despite all of this, the younger campers still look up to you. and you see it in their faces how they still yearn for a chance to embark on a quest themselves, to be chosen, to catch the fleeting attention of their unknown godly parent. and there you are as you realize that their highest aspirations are to put their lives at risk while running an errand for a parent that does not care and will never care. they hope that in death, they’ll get the recognition they didn’t get alive. and some souls, still to this day, yearn for the acknowledgment that eluded them in the realm of the living.
so truly, you can’t be mad at Luke for thinking “do the gods find pleasure in our begging? does the aroma of our need, our desire, our pleas, not reach the pantheon of the heavens, or do you simply choose to turn away?” because wouldn’t you be filled with fury too? wouldn’t you want a better world? wouldn’t you too be easy to manipulated by a titan?
he didn’t betray Percy, he wanted a better world for them both, for all of them. but Percy betrayed him the moment he mentioned his father, this mention became an unwitting weapon, inflicting a pain that would forever bleed. this cut deeper than his own scar. he could’ve had it all. but he lost it again. and why does no one understand him? someone please understand him. he’s not going insane, why can’t anyone else see it?
the gods, in their relentless whims, have cruelly drained the essence of their youth, offering hollow promises of glory that crumble into the tragic reality of sacrifice and unending celestial burdens. the gods are the ones who shattered it all, but they hate Luke Castellan. it’s always him, isn’t it? first he couldn’t achieve that damned quest and now he wasn’t able to save what mattered the most in the end. his family. again.

Trouble's Brewing
Michael
My heart's pounding as I walk up the steps of the mausoleum and approach the glowing white orb floating inches above the marble pedestal. By the time I kneel in front of it, I feel like I'm going to throw up.
"Forgive me, Father, for I have failed you. I will accept whatever punishment you see fit."
"Worry not, my child." His voice echos inside my head. "I should have known they would not come willingly. Were you at least able to gather information while you were down there?"
"I was. There are members of the House of Lords that are less than pleased with the prince's decisions regarding them."
"How many?"
"Roughly 25%, including those in the upper part of the House."
"That is excellent news. We only need two of them to activate the Rembandy Accord." A chill runs up my spine. That accord hasn't been used in millennia, and never in a situation like this one.
But it would be foolish of me to question Father, so I try to block out those doubts before He can sense them.
"May I ask who our representatives will be?" I ask.
"You will be one of them. I still have to decide on the second. Is it true that none of the other Seraphim helped you?"
"It is. I had to ask Simeon for assistance." He sighs.
"I imagine his loyalty is still divided. Sometimes I wonder if I have been too generous with him." My stomach sinks.
"Then again, based on your reports, he has been doing what he is told lately, even if he has reservations about it," He adds. "That is more than I can say about them."
"I believe he is trying to set a good example for Luke. Placing a young, impressionable angel under his care seems to have ensured his cooperation."
"How wonderful. Continue keeping an eye on him and reporting on his activities." He pauses. "Is there anything else you would like to inform me about?" I take a deep breath, attempting to calm my nerves.
"They have an attendant," I respond once I feel calm enough to speak. "Their name is Zephyr. I do not trust them. They appear unassuming, and yet whenever we were in the same room, I was on edge. I wanted to put as much distance between us as possible, but their presence was either requested or required by the prince beforehand, so I had to remain where I was as to not cause a scene."
"Are you able to articulate what about this particular demon made you feel this way?"
"They are hiding something. They know a lot more than they are letting on. I am not sure about the breadth or depth of their knowledge, but what I can tell you is that they saw through my illusion the moment they set eyes on me."
"How do you know?"
"They seem to possess the power of telepathy. When I shook their hand, I could hear their voice in my mind."
"What did they say?"
"You're not Raphael." He hums, clearly curious.
"Perhaps they have met him before."
"I thought that was the case, but it is not. Simeon and Luke are the first angels Zephyr has ever met. Plus, none of the other demons saw through the illusion, not even the prince. Any suspicions they might have had were directed towards the brothers being allowed to return here."
"You always have been good at blending in the shadows," He remarks. "That brings me to your next assignment."
"I am ready, Father."
"Good. I want you to return to the Devildom. Make sure your presence there is unknown, even to your brothers and sisters. Document everything you can about Zephyr and report your findings straight to me. They may pose a threat to us, so we must be prepared to take action against them if necessary."
"What about the Accord?"
"For now, leave that to me. I will let you know when I am ready for you to play your part in its execution. Just focus on gathering as much information on Zephyr as you can. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes, Father." He really is worried. He never refers to anyone by their name, let alone repeatedly. He even calls the most powerful demons and humans by their titles, whether it's "the prince's butler" or "the witty sorcerer".
So why the sudden change? What makes Zephyr stand out that much to Him?
I suppose I'll just have to find out for myself, won't I?

LAND AMONG THE STARS
Prologue [masterlist]
Pairing: Luke Castellan x Child of Apollo Reader
Genre: Angst
Word count: 0.5k
Warning: mention of blood
[Before summer of TLT]
Cool breeze hits your face as you step out of the threshold, the sweat evaporating from your forehead as you take in a big gulp of air as if being in that house a moment longer would deprive you of oxygen. Still, the tightness in your chest did not go away. What were you doing wrong?
The pressure in your head threatens to take you out by the presence of black spots in your vision combined with the continuous ringing in your ears. A trickle of liquid could be felt on your cupid's bow.
With a trembling hand, you pulled out a checkered handkerchief out of your pants' pocket, wiping the blood of the result from another failed attempt. A sigh left your mouth.
"You know you'll not be able to save her."
It was not a question. He knew that you too knew of this. With all the years he observed you.
"Why can't you help me then? You know you can but why wouldn't you?" Anger laced your tone as you turned to face him.
"You know why, kid. I can't intervene with her fate." Face solem, his arms lay dejected by his side, giving you a look of empathy.
"Then why bother coming down here to just tell me that I failed?" Annoyance washed over you, furrowing your brows as you took a step closer as if to challenge him. Standing your own ground of what you believed in. You believed in yourself.
"I am not," Apollo moves closer to you, hands raised to hold the side of your head. Gently, thumb circling around your temple, a warm glow filled the corners of your vision made you close your eyes as you felt the vein in your head stop throbbing and the ringing in your ears eased to a silence.
Your mind was quiet again. No thoughts winding themselves together to make you trip and fall.
"You did not fail. But your powers are not strong enough to defy her becoming."
Your head falls, lowered gaze as sadness enveloped you. You knew there was hope to still save her. Saving her meant something of glorious purpose to you because of her son.
"I understand your will in doing so. Your love for him is incomparable," Apollo's hands now rested on your shoulders, giving them a reassuring squeeze to get your attention, "But you must remember, it will cost you one day."
You tilted your head back up to him. Your father. Ruler of the sun, poems, music, medicine, and... prophecies.
"In shadow's grasp, where trust is bound,
Loyalty's embrace, a soul tightly wound.
To save your love, you risk your all,
Yet find your mind and spirits fall.
Through trials dire, your path unwinds,
Each step taken, darkness blinds.
To shield the one you hold most dear,"
"I surrender all, succumb to fear." Looking into his soft golden eyes, you finished the spoken phropercy.
He gave you a pained smile as if it had hurt him more than to his child.
"Be careful kid, you might just fulfill it."
You surrender all, succumbs to fear.

i am so happy for the increase of people like Clarisse La Rue in the new show (and im ignoring the people who don't like her) (also, i have not watched the show yet, in support of Palestine's boycott against Disney+ and am currently too sick to figure out the safest way to 🏴‍☠️) because she is such a good character and i would cry for a well-written book/fanfic series from her pov
like. she truly is the epitome of "my dad is the worst man alive and i am his favorite daughter" and i super respect the decision that this adaptation has towards going towards the whole "in my version, Clarisse will never win her father's approval because she isn't his son" sentiment. not to mention, the decision to couple that by having her be cast as a person of color in addition to her pre-existing character having been someone who has been frantically trying find the opportunity to prove herself, being indirectly one-upped by white boy Percy coming into camp day 1 having fought a minotaur. the intersectionality of her misdirected fury is impeccable. fantastic, no notes
but im also just psyched for her and Chris Rodriguez and i really wish they had more focus in the books. because they are as fantastically amazing as all the other S-tier ships in the series. i think they could even rival Percabeth (notice: i didn't say "could beat", i said "could RIVAL", no Percabeth fans send me hate), honestly, if Clarisse/Chris had been given a chance to somehow be of focus. because you're telling me angry, overlooked Daddy Issues(TM) Clarisse gets to find love with Chris "calm and patient while caring greatly for Clarisse" Rodriguez? the son of Hermes who said "fuck Camp Halfblood, fuck these gods" and went to Kronos and Luke's side? who went into the labryrinth and was driven to insanity? by King Minos himself? who Clarisse was so gentle and sympathetic for, even when others thought he might be a lost cause? even when others debated even helping him because he was "the enemy"? who, after Dionysus (and lets be honest, also Clarisse, because she was his caretaker until he could be brought to Dionysus) cured Chris of his insanity, this guy saw what a catch Clarisse was to have in your life, seeing her as someone sweet and loving (because she can be! she is!!), that who she is as a person single-handedly conVINCED HIM TO LEAVE KRONOS' SIDE AND COME BACK TO CAMP??? SO HE COULD BE HAVE A CHANCE TO BE WITH HER??
their love is so iconic. and that's just the one big moment we get from their story; im so sure there is more that we dont get to see all due to them not being focused on in the story. im so glad theyre still together and so in love. its what Clarisse deserves. i hope the show shines a light on how powerful their love is too. Chris fixes none of Clarisse's tragic father-induced issues, but it helps to remember that at least she has Chris, and im so glad she does. Clarisse is a warrior that deserved a great love-story

Obsession, part 5
Tumblr media
"Leaving is easy," she said harshly, her voice shaky with anger.
He searched for something, anything, to show her that he not only wanted her, but that he wanted more. "Ask me anything," he said, finally.
She pulled back at that, "and?" she asked.
"I will tell you anything you wish to know," he replied, "unless that knowledge puts someone in danger."
She gave him a look, swiping a hand across her cheek, where the tear had left its track. "Isn't that just about everything to do with your family?"
He could only look at her, and she took a breath, closing her eyes for a second. "Fine. Who cut your face?"
Straight to the heart of things, he thought, and nodded. He could do this. He could relive the hell that had taken his eye and damned him to everyone. "My nephew, Luke."
Her eyes went wide. "What the fuck?"
"It's a long story." Thank the Seven for small favors.
She scrutinized him for a moment, weighing and considering, before she stepped back. "Then get comfortable, and I'll get some wine."
* * * * *
Aemond was offering honesty and you prized that. You'd push him, seeing how far his loyalty to the family went versus his attraction to you. And then you'd see.
You took a sip of the red wine you usually kept on hand and opened a package of striped fudge cookies. Wine and chocolate. Nothing better for a heart to heart.
"My father was married before. His first wife had a daughter, Rhaenyra, but he wanted a son."
Of course he did.
He was sitting on the sofa, facing you at the other end, where you'd draped one of the throws you kept around over your legs. "She lost a couple of pregnancies and then finally got pregnant with a boy. Then she died during birth, and the baby died a day later."
You couldn't help but close your eyes. "That's awful."
He nodded. "Mom had the four of us, but-"
"Four?"
"My brother Daeron is the youngest, he is studying near my mom's family so he lives with them for now."
He'd asked her for some water along with the wine she'd poured for both of them, and drank some. "Anyway, Rhaenyra always did as she wanted, while we had to go by the rules. She married the guy dad chose for her, but then had three kids who all suspiciously looked like her bodyguard."
Bitterness had started to peek through in his posture, his voice, the tension in his shoulders. You knew this wasn't getting any better any time soon.
"Dad decided she'd take over for him when he retired, and thought throwing her kids in with us would make us all like each other."
He pressed his lips together, shook his head. "It didn't work. They hated us, we hated them. Dad thought he'd just ignore everything. Until one day there was a fight, like many before, but this time, Luke had a knife."
"How old were you?"
"I was ten."
You looked at him, "and Luke?"
"Seven, eight?"
The kind, empathic part of you wanted to reach out, to touch him. Like you wanted to befriend Helaena. But you kept your hands where they were and listened.
"I called them bastards," Aemond smirked for a moment, "and then Luke slashed my face." He looked down at the couch, at the space between you, as if seeing it happen all over again.
"I am sorry," you whispered. "I can't imagine."
He looked up, and you nearly pushed back at the anger in his gaze. "And nothing was done about it."
"Wait, what do you-"
"Luke wasn't punished. In fact Rhaenyra wanted me 'sharply questioned' for saying her kids were bastards."
"But your father-"
"Did nothing." He had leaned forward, one hand on the cushion between you. "My mother tried, demanded one of Luke's eyes be cut out. Father just wanted it all swept under the rug."
Against your better instinct, and tired of the strain of holding back, you closed the distance and wrapped yourself around him. He didn't move, stayed still while you felt the tears begin to fall again.
"Do not pity me."
You pushed away from him. "I don't." You felt rage, incandescent and liquid, flowing freely through you. "I want to murder someone."
"You can't."
You grabbed your wine glass and downed the rest of it in one go. "Why not?"
"Because when I'm done telling the story, you may change your mind."
"Okay, then. Continue."
He drank more of his water. "Years later, I was moving to one of the houses on the property, taking some of my stuff in my truck, and I saw Luke, driving his convertible, top down, not a fucking care in the world."
His eye landed on you and one eyebrow went up. "I started chasing him. Just to scare him. He'd barely gotten his license a few days before, and his mother had bought him the red car of his dreams."
You felt your pulse quicken, anticipating how things were going to end.
"I lost control of the truck during a turn, overcompensated, the truck was loaded with furniture. Luke's little red car didn't have a chance."
Your hands had gone cold, fingertips icy. "Did anyone believe you had lost control of the truck?"
He blinked, as if surprised at your train of thought. "No. Aegon threw me a party. Father raged at me no matter what I said, mother said nothing, never has."
* * * * *
He didn't tell her that in his family, to be called a Kinslayer was the worst kind of insult. He didn't tell her that the only one who had held him when he finally broke down, had been Helaena, who caressed his hair while he wept and told him all about the insects she loved. He'd woken up at dawn with his head still resting on her leg, and she'd fallen asleep sitting against the wall.
"Did he die immediately?"
"Yes."
She looked at him and he felt his heart go still. She was going to tell him to go now, now that she knew, because she could tell that some part of him had wanted Luke dead.
"Too bad."
She poured herself more wine. "I wish he'd suffered. You're not going to drink your wine, are you?" she reached over and grabbed a cookie from the table, bit into it.
When he was finally convinced she didn't quite hate him for everything he'd told her, he spoke again. "It was war for a few months. Several things happened, people were hurt. All because of me."
"Fuck that," she snapped.
"That's how everyone saw it. Things are different now. I got into computers, security, and I became the best."
She grabbed another cookie, snapped it in half, extended one piece to him.
Aemond looked from her face to her hand, and leaned in, taking the cookie from her fingers, then pulling it into his mouth. She placed the other half in her mouth, looking away from him, her face flushed.
After washing it down with some more wine, she looked back at him. "It's like you were set up to end up like this," she mused, then looked around her living room, "I sure hope this place isn't bugged."
"It isn't."
"In that case," she smiled softly, "your dad fucking sucks."
Aemond looked down for a long time. "Thank you for listening."
"I asked the question," she shrugged, "I owed it to you to listen to the answer." She grabbed his untouched glass of wine, downed that as well. "I have one more, if you're willing."
He looked up, "I'll answer as many as I can."
"What does 'calling the banners' mean?"
He couldn't help but smile. She remembered. "It means that you have asked your allies to join you in some kind of enterprise."
"Enterprise."
"An attack, or retribution. Or war."
She tilted her head slightly. "Retribution. For Helaena?"
He nodded, then rubbed his face, mindful of not moving the eye patch. "It has to be done."
"Do you know who it is?"
"Yes."
"Will knowing put me in danger?"
"Not just you."
"Will you be okay?"
He felt a small frisson of delight at her question. "Are you worried for me?"
She blushed and looked away from him, her fingers playing with the edge of the blanket on her lap.
"I know this world isn't for everyone," he added quietly, "but I will not ignore the fact that I want you, or that I know that you want me."
"It's not that easy, Aemond. I don't belong to your-"
"The only people who get to decide if you belong with me, are you and me," he said sharply. "And I've already made my decision."
When she looked up, eyebrows raised, he stood. "But now, I have to go." He rubbed the back of his neck as he walked to the door and she reached him just before he opened the door, her small, cold fingers grabbing his, and he pulled her against him, bringing her hand to his lips. "Your hands are cold," he said, kissing across her knuckles.
"I am."
"What?"
"Worried for you." Her cheeks turned pink again. "I think-"
He stopped listening and wrapped his arms around her, his mouth now on hers, her little gasp letting him slip his tongue in her mouth as he pressed her against the wall next to the door.
He felt her other hand reach up to cup the back of his neck, her short fingernails raking across his skin and he almost moaned because it felt so fucking good. She was kissing him back, her tongue sliding alongside his. He could feel her breasts as she shamelessly pushed them against his chest, could imagine tasting them, scraping his teeth across the tender flesh. He could sink to his knees, pull her leggings down and spread her legs open, and he'd bury his face between her thighs, taste even more precious flesh, make her come on his tongue before he fucked her for hours on her bed.
The stupid vibration on his watch broke him out of his thoughts, and he pushed back. Her mouth was swollen from his kisses, her hands on his arms as she steadied herself.
There was business to take care of, and so he took a deep breath and let go of her. "I have to go," he said again, annoyed that she could push him to lose control like this. "Let me know when you make your decision."
Without waiting for her to reply, he left and closed the door behind him, ignoring her parted lips and flushed cheeks.
* * * * *
I stood against that wall for half an hour because I wasn't quite sure my legs could support me if I tried to walk.
Holy hell, the man can kiss. I'm sure there are other things he's good at, too.
I finally make it back to the sofa and finish off the bottle of wine, stuffing my face with cookies for the next hour.
What kind of father sees his kid get his goddamn eye cut out and does nothing to punish the little shit who did it? I don't trust myself to be nice to Viserys Targaryen if I am ever in the same room with him. And the wife, she's like the Mafia version of Lady Macbeth.
I have no business getting involved with Aemond. Absolutely none. I have my quiet, boring life, my quiet, boring job, my quiet, boring place. And compared to what goes on in his family, it feels like paradise.
The thought of not seeing Aemond again, and I know that if I tell him I've decided I don't want to be with him, he would respect that and I would never, ever see him again, makes my head hurt. So I reach for more cookies and pretend it's just another boring night at home.
* * * * *
"He'll kill me if I tell you."
Aemond leaned in. "Oh no. I'm going to kill you. Your only choice is whether it will be a quick, painless death, or days of being hacked to death, one inch at a time, starting with your feet."
The man, tied to the chair, let out a sob. "I was just studying, and this guy asks me to let him know when she comes in. See if it's the same time, asks me to flirt with her so she'll want to come back. His email is in my phone, the bank app has the deposit info. I didn't touch her or anything."
Aemond smiled gently, "thank you. You have been very helpful." He stood and pulled out a gun as the man screamed for mercy, aimed and sent a bullet through his forehead. There was a red mist as it exited the back of his head.
He'd already found the emails and the financial stuff, although he expected it to lead nowhere. He nodded to the two guys to clean up the place and left with the phone in his gloved hand, ready to go home and work through the night.

Along side the religious mc, what about a pagan mc who keeps trying to convince everyone of the other ancient gods because they speak to said gods, and no one believes it until they talk to someone like zuez or thor (can't spell lol) during a bad storm with thunder and lightning while outside?
Like, I think it'll be funny
DON'T MESS WITH MC AND THEIR HUMAN WORD GODS
Mc entering the doing room with a grim face.
Mc: Who has blown out the candles on my altar?
The brothers look at each other.
Lucifer: it's for safety Mc, well end burning (again) as we continue like this.
Mc: Lucifer is my altar to Hestia!! You can't put out the flames in honor of the home fire.
Satan: Mc pleace, mythology is just a tale.
Mc: Are YOU really telling me this?
Belphie: they are just inventions Mc...
Mc: the gods are real!!!
Levi: then, how is it possible that Thor and Zeus are both God's od thunder lol?
Mc: the human word is vast and ancient, each mythology has its own domains and must be respected.
Mammon: yeah, yeah, Mc, I hope your little friends the God don't punish us for it...
Mc: *squinting* who plays with fire ends up getting burned.
.
.
.
After several days, an electrical storm broke out in the Devildom and it does not stop.
Mammon: I can't take it anymore, when is this storm going to stop?
Beel: this is very weird... This doesn't usually happen in Devildom
Asmo: I need a night without lightnings nor thunders!!! I can't rest
They all enter in the House soaked and find Mc having tea whit two men.
The brothers: ...
Lucifer: Who are they?
Mc: *grinning* dear biblical creatures let me introduce you to Thor, God of thunder, son of Odin and Zeus, father of God's and God of thunders as well
Zeus raises his hand and, at that moment, a thunder rolls.
Mc: I thought that maybe it's a good time to introduce you to all my friends.
.
.
.
Lucifer: ...
Zeus: ...
Lucifer: so... are you telling me that your daughter was born from your head?
Zeus: that's right.
Lucifer: It is a Joke?
Zeus: well, at least she was not spawned  exclusively from my anger.
Lucifer: *angry ofended demon noises*
.
.
.
Levi: so you are a sea god?
Poseidon: yeah, I’m the king of the oceans, the great Poseidon, capable of causing earthquakes and tidal waves, hero of titanomachy and father of numerous creatures.
Levi: ...
Levi: I think that that is a hit to my self esteem.
.
.
.
Mammon: so you are friend with Mc?
Loki: yes
Mammon: and you are a god of tricks and deceit?
Loki: that's how everybody know me.
Mammon: *Realicing* That why Mc always beats me at cards!!
Loki: oh no, i offered my help but... they didn't need it, you are easy enougth to fool whithout my magic
.
.
.
Solomon: I still can't belive that Mc had ties to all of you.
Isis: well, they are a lovely person, and they have respected and honored us since they were a child.
Solomon: ... you are a magic god, aren't you?
Isis: *Look up and down at Solomon* Yes I am
Solomon: could you teach me some spells? I want to use them to cook something for Mc and the others, you know to surprise them.
Isis: oh boy, that's a pathetic excuse, I'm not going to teach you anything. Besides, there is no magic that can save what you call cooking.
Solomon: ... auch
.
.
.
Asmo: so... you are the embodiment of beauty?
Afrodita: of course, don't you have eyes?
Asmo: well I have not seen anything that you have achieved that I have not.
Afrodita: *similing* cute little demon, I defeated you the moment I shared a bath with Mc.
Asmo: ...
Asmo: you win, teach me, please
.
.
.
Barbatos: ...
Hades: ...
Hades: you remind me of my father.
Barbatos: excuse me?
Hades: yeah, the whole thing about controlling time and being a cruel criature... I hope you are not one of those who devour their children.
Luke looks at Barbatos with teary eyes.
Luke: are you going to devour me?
Barbatos: Luke no
.
.
.
Simeon observes with Mc the chaos that has been unleashed in the Devildom thanks to the different gods.
Simeon: I never would have expected something like this...
Mc: the truth is that I do.
Simeon: and that all those stories were real ...
Mc: ... Simeon, dear, you are an angel, we are in the hell and I leve with seven demons, I've meet the death and here, our sorcerer friend lived for hundred of years... Are you really telling me this?
Simeon: sometimes I forget those details...
Mc: yeah, you should remember that I'm a human holy chicken.
.
.
.
Hestia: we have been able to help you?
Mc: yes, I appreciate that you brought the whole troop.
Hestia: ha ha, it has been interesting.
Mc: no one will dare to touch your flames now
Hestia: *kiss Mc's forehead* take care dear child, enjoy your live here and look for your friend, they are interesting creatures.
Mc: I'll do, my goodness.
Hestia: and don't forget where you come from.
.
.
Well, well, have I enjoyed writing this? I have enjoyed it, I am a lover of mythology,bI know Greek mythology the most, but I would love to learn more about other mythologies. All the scenarios that could be written... Thank you  @shota-catziwa much for the suggestion, I would have liked to delve deeper into mc's relationship with the gods but my head doesn't give for more. I just hope you enjoy it even if it's a little bit.

Yandere/obsessed aemond x innocent reader smut?
she’s daemon’s daughter so he purposely takes her virginity and gets her pregnant so they can wed them
AN:Hi, I hope you like it x
NSFW
“How long will we be staying here, father?” You whispered up to Daemon as you both moved into the red keep. You were 10 and 7; and still there was no betrothal in sight for the oldest daughter of the rogue Prince. “Your King would like us to settle our differences…until his death I suppose.” Daemon whispered down at you.
You hummed; it would allow you to keep yourself in the shadows. You hoped anyway as you walked behind your father. The black dress hugging you as your locks that were slightly darker than an average Targaryen from your mother’s side cascaded down your back. You began to nervously play with your fingers.
“How about you go and settle in your chambers?” Daemon softly asked but you knew an order when you heard it. “Of course.” You whispered and smiled over to your half sisters before moving past them. You looked over your shoulder once more and wondered why it was only you who had been dismissed.
A soft look of confusion came over you as you followed the maid down the corridors to where you assumed your chambers were. “Thank you.” You gently smiled and moved into the large room. Gracefully, you placed the shawl from your shoulders and around the chair that faced the vanity.
“Hello Y/N..” A deep voice came from behind you and had you softly gasping when you turned around. You looked towards the much taller man; his eye patch giving his identity away instantly. “Aemond.” He bowed his head and you hated how breathless you sounded. Your heart is beginning to race.
“It is nice to finally meet you.” You whispered, clasping your hands behind your back like the perfect lady you were. “And you, Princess.” Aemond whispered as if his eye hadn’t been on you since you returned. “I am to be your chaperone.” The Prince announced and you fought against the blush trying to make its way over your cheeks.
“That is kind of you.” You whispered, ducking your head for a moment. Aemond only hummed. You didn’t need to know that he had insisted. More than insisted; the Prince had practically ordered it. “Do I need to dress?” You locked eyes with him; unsure if you would need to do so after the solitude in Dragonstone.
“I imagine so. You seemed to have ripped the dress.” Aemond gently spoke to you as he stepped forward. “Oh, probably Jace or Luke.” You softly babbled; missing a flash of a dark look coming over him. Your hand moved down the skirt of your dress. “I should try and find something.” You whispered mostly to yourself.
“Oh, I had something brought for you.” Aemond whispered as his eyes moved over your body when you turned from him. “You did?” You locked eyes with him; a soft smile coming over your face. “That is kind of you.” You whispered and nearly melted when his lips tugged into his own soft smile.
He stepped to the side and it was then that you noticed the beautiful, forest green dress staring back at you. “It’s beautiful.” You whispered and moved to touch the soft material. “It is.” Aemond responded; but he only had an eye for you. “Let me help.” The Prince had spoken before you could turn.
“Oh, I can…” His hands running down your back had you softly gulping. Your eyes so wide as you chewed nervously on your bottom lip. “It’s no bother. I help my sister all the time.” Aemond lied prettily. “Oh, that is sweet of you.” You whispered out as he slowly moved your hair to one side.
Aemond hummed and watched the sleeves of your dress fall down. The short small clothes covering nothing. His hands moved down your now uncovered arms. “Turn around.” He whispered. You nervously began to play with your fingers as your heart raced. “I..” You moved to speak.
“It’s fine.” Aemond whispered. You slowly began to turn around now and Aemond’s mouth was already watering. The intense feelings he had were already threatening to overcome his rational thoughts. His hands gently moved down your sides now; he faltered near the sides of your breasts.
Your breasts moved as your breathing only quickened. You watched as his hand moved to one of your ample breasts. “Aemond..” This was improper, you knew this. But his touches sent electric shots through you. “I should change.” You whispered out some more as his hand finally cupped you.
A soft whimper escaped you as his fingers moved over your already pebbling nipple. It was as if the Prince was in a daze. “Aemond..” You repeated his name once more as your eyes darkened in hardly concealed desire. He only continued to hum before finally collecting himself. His hand still palmed you.
“Apologies..I just couldn’t help myself.” Aemond purred. His free hand moving his fingers through your locks. “You do this with your sister?” You whispered out and began to wiggle but his free hand moved to your back. “Of course not.” He smirked as your body brushed against him.
His thumb moved across your plump, bottom lip that had you nearly whimpering. “I should get ready.” You whispered out as your hand moved onto his chest now. You debated on pushing him away before you were distracted when he pinched your nipple. “Aemond.” You cried out in new desire. The Prince only smirked. The noises you were making had his cock hardening easily. Your hand grabbed at his tunic. His free hand moved to cup your face now. “I was sure your father had told you.” Aemond began. He hid the enjoyment as a look of confusion came over you. “I don’t understand.”
“You have been betrothed to me.” Aemond softly whispered into your ear. His lies falling prettily from his lips but you would never know the difference. You thought back to how you had been dismissed only moments ago. Was this true? He gently cupped your face with both hands now and before you knew it; his lips were on your own.
Everything moved quickly from there as his hands moved down your sides before he tugged the cotton dress from you. You grabbed at his shoulders as he gently pushed you against the wall. “We can’t..” You whimpered and hated the desire racing through you. “Do you truly want me to stop?”
Aemond’s smirk only widened as your lack of answer sounded out. “Good girl.” He whispered his praises into your ear. The Prince had your legs wrapped around his waist as his hot mouth began to move over your chest. “Shouldn’t we wait for the bedding ceremony?” You breathlessly whispered out.
“Do you want to have people watching?” Aemond teasingly whispered. His smirk stayed in place still as you melted for him. He watched as you blushed so prettily as he subtly moved his hand down to unbutton himself. “No…I don’t want that.” You finally admitted with a soft gulp. “I won’t let that happen.” He promised.
“Only if I have you now.” Aemond whispered, brushing your noses together as his hand moved to cup your pussy. “Already wet?” He teased as ever as his thumb slowly began to circle your clit. Your eyes were so wide as the new feeling began to wrap around you. “Good girl.” He whispered as you fell apart.
His slender fingers moving through your folds as the soft sounds of your wetness echoed around. Your head moved to rest as moans of pleasure escaped you. Aemond couldn’t control himself; he had to have you now before it was too late. Another night, he would take his time and have you begging for him to stop.
His free hand moved to your breasts once more; you seemed to react so prettily, he thought as his hard cock brushed against your soaked pussy. “Oh…” Your eyes widened as his head hit your clit again and again. Your wetness began to soak him and yourself before he slowly pushed inside.
The stretch had you whimpering some more but he captured your soft lips passionately. Your legs tightened around him as did your walls as they fluttered around. “Fuck..so tight.” Aemond mumbled to himself as he bottomed. “Oh gods..” You pant out as he touched your soft spot and your stomach was tightening already.
You were so close to an edge you hadn’t experienced before. Your eyes rolled back whilst Aemond watched. His hips began to roll as you lost yourself. Oh, he was going to have so much fun. He pinched your nipple once more to gain your attention. “Aemond..” You whimpered out before the cries finally escaped you.
Your hand moved to his arse as his thrusts only quickened. The sounds of your bodies slapping against each other echoed around the room. Gods, he wasn’t going to last long. His hand slowly moved down your stomach until his fingers were once again teasing your weeping pussy. He matched his rubbing to his thrusts.
“Oh..no..I …” You cried out and your hands moved onto his shoulders to keep yourself steady. “Doing so good. Taking me so well.” Aemond whispered and passionately captured your soft lips once more. You could only whimper as your tongues danced and he took your breath away. He was so deep.
It was all you could think of as you squirted around him. His thrusts were deep and slow as he followed you closely behind.
~
“Aemond.” His eyes flashed open at the sound of his mother’s voice. He moaned and moved. His hand was wrapped around your naked body that you snaked around him. Your legs tangling around his own. You looked well and truly ruined. “What have you done?” Alicent continued as Aemond only brought you closer.
You softly hummed in your sleep before burrowing into his neck. “How long has this been going on?” His mother continued her assault and Aemond saw an opening. “For a while..she is pregnant now.” Aemond lied. It wouldn’t be long until you were with a babe; he would make sure of it.
The look of shock on his mother’s face would have been comedic but he was soon distracted by you. “Aemond..” You whispered in your sleep and he gently shushed you. The Prince pressed a soft kiss to the top of your head.
“You will have to marry her.” Alicent whispered after a moment of silence. “I know.” Aemond hummed and hid his smirk.
“I’m sorry, mother.” Aemond whispered over to her and watched as she bought his act. It wasn’t as if his sister’s family could act against them now. He was quite proud of himself, he thought to himself as his mother left the room.
His stare soon returned to you and his fingers traced down your back before he gently placed you on your back. “Aemond…” You giggled out now as your eyes slowly began to flutter open. Your legs falling open for him to slide in. Your arms looping around his neck now as you prettily whispered sweet nothings into his ear.

Request #2
Main Masterlist:
Character Masterlist:
Requested by: @nev20
Tumblr media
OMG I'M SO SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT. I got held up with school and other personal matters 🤧
I turned your idea into an x reader story, I hope you don't mind!
Anyway, here is your request, and I hope you enjoy!
Word Count: 2,567 words. (it's kinda long)
Warning(s): Fluffy fluff, some angst, mentions of Order 66 and death, Leia running away, not proof read, lot’s of uncanon stuff (becuz its better that way)
Reader is GN, or at least I tried to keep it that way. Let me know if I missed anything.
Outline: After Anakin defeats Darth Sidious in a gruesome fight, he leaves the Jedi Order to settle down with you. Fourteen years later, you are both blessed with a daughter and son: Luke and Leia. However, because Anakin Skywalker was a famous Jedi, the descendants of him are worth a lot of money to bounty hunters, so you and Anakin live in constant worry of your beloved children being whisked away, far from your reach.
Our Intentions Were Good, I promise
Tumblr media
“Anakin!” You yelled with a hoarse voice over all the chaos that was going on in the Jedi Temple. You could sense his presence nearby, but with all the Clone Troopers storming around the temple killing Jedi in their wake, you could not help but feel worried for your lover.
You, Anakin and the rest of the Jedi Council discovered that the Sith Lord behind all the issues was none other than the Chancellor. It was a big shock to Anakin, and you knew he felt betrayed since he basically considered him as a father. But you had always had your suspicions, and the discovery only made sense to you.
You hear your name get called through the rubble and dust flying around the temple and you spin on your heels to see where the voice originated from. You let out a shaky breath when you noticed it was Anakin, and he was okay.
“Ani!” You whispered and ran over to him and tightly embraced him in a hug. He hugged you back and buried his head into the side of your neck and inhaled your scent.
“You’re okay, I was so worried for you,” Anakin said, biting back a sob.
“And you’re okay,” you giggled when he began to kiss you tenderly on your cheek.
“Of course I’m okay. I am the Chosen One afterall,” he said with a hint of pride in his voice. You rolled your eyes at his banter and gently kissed his cheek.
“Where’s the Sith Lord? Did you arrest him?”
Anakin hummed in acknowledgement before continuing to kiss your cheek passionately.
“Anakin–I’m trying to have a conversation with you,” you giggled in between kisses.
He sighed heavily and stepped back a bit to look you in your eyes.
“We managed to arrest him, however, Master Windu was. . .killed in the process. Which leaves Obi-Wan as the new Head of the Council.”
You gasped at the news and you felt your eyes burn. Master Windu was your own mentor when you were a Padawan, and basically the Father figure you never had. Even though he seemed very distant and cold-hearted, he would once in awhile have his moments that left great memories of the time when you were a Padawan under his authority.
“It’s alright, darling,” Anakin said, kissing your lips gently. “He’s in a better place now.”
You nodded your head slowly, and buried your face into the crook of his neck.
“Let’s go home, Ani.”
+++
Not long after Order 66, you and Anakin officially left the Jedi Order and got married. It was a small but beautiful ceremony; with only a few people invited. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padme Amidala, and Anakin’s old Padawan, Ahsoka Tano.
About a year later, you brought two beautiful children into the world: Leia and Luke Skywalker. Leia looked a lot like you, but had Anakin’s strong will and personality. Meanwhile, your son looked like a spitting image of your husband, but he had more of your quiet and laid back personality.
Now, your twins were nearing the age of thirteen, and you couldn’t believe how fast your small babies were now young adults.
One problem, however, was the constant worry of your children being abducted from you due to them being related to Anakin. You both were aware that both Luke and Leia had a bounty on their head worth thousands of credits. Anakin and Obi-Wan had both tried to investigate who was behind the order of their capture, but they never succeeded. So, you found yourself being incredibly over-protective of your children.
You homeschooled your children because you were scared of them walking by themselves to and from the public school. You didn’t allow Leia to go out with just her friends even if she was accompanied by their parents, and you never allowed Luke to be outside by himself.
Were you taking all precautions a bit too far? Of course you were. You and
Anakin loved your children and were too attached to risk the chances of them being taken away from you.
+++
“Mom, dad, can we ask you something?”
You looked up from the holopad you were scrolling through and noticed Leia and Luke were both standing in front of you with anxious looks on their faces. You raised your brow and beckoned them to walk up closer to you.
“Yes you two?” Anakin said with a small look of concern on his face.
“Umm. . .” Luke started to say, but immediately lost his train of thought and snapped his mouth shut.
“You know how today marks the fourteenth year of peace throughout the whole galaxy, right?” Leia began.
You glanced at Anakin and noticed he was also confused as to where this conversation was going.
You nodded your head at your daughter to continue and she shakily inhaled.
“There is a parade and fair–”
“No” you and Anakin said at the same time sternly, knowing exactly where this was going.
“But why?” Leia pleaded, tears began to form in her crystal eyes.
Luke sighed heavily, and with heavy footsteps headed to the staircase to head to his room.
You pinched the bridge of your nose in annoyance.
“Leia, we have been over this many times. I would have thought you would know by now.” You said.
Leia’s face slowly morphed into one of pure grief and frustration.
“I HATE THIS! You and dad worrying about EVERYTHING!! This whole thing is so stupid!” And like that, she stormed out of the room and slammed her bedroom door when she reached it.
You shook your head and looked at your husband to see his reaction and noticed he was already looking at you.
“She is kind of right, you know?” You began. “Our children are basically secluded from the rest of the world, let alone other kids their age. It wouldn’t hurt to let them go out once, would it?”
Anakin hummed in thought.
“I’ll think about it. I think you might be right.”
“The parade doesn’t start until nightfall, so you just sit there and put your one brain-cell to work, darling.” You teased as you stood up from the couch you were previously relaxing on and began to head to the kitchen.
“At least I have a brain-cell, sweetheart.” Anakin bit back to which you turned around to smack him on the top of his head.
He chuckled and grabbed a hold of your wrist before pulling you down harshly onto his lap.
“You are such a bully, darling.” Anakin shook his head. You huffed at that.
“And you aren’t?”
“No, I am just your teasing husband.” He said, glancing at your lips before pulling you into a long and passionate kiss. You hummed and smiled into the kiss. You reached your hand behind his head, and moved your hands into his hair, before pulling hard on it, causing Anakin to jump and disconnect your lips.
“HEY! You’ll pay for that!” He warned with a slight smile on his face. You rolled your eyes before squirming out of his tight hold.
“Only if you can get me!” You giggled lightly before sprinting out of the room and running up to your joined bedroom.
+++
“Ugh, why is mom and dad so strict?” Leia complained as she dramatically plopped onto her brother's bed. Luke shrugged and continued to tinker with Lola, Leia’s small robotic companion.
“And you are so helpful Mr. I-don’t-dare-disobey-my-parents.” Leia said with venom  laced in her voice.
Luke sighed heavily and ignored the rest of Leia’s banter.
After a stream of censored cursing and complaining about how her life is so miserable, she decided that she was going to take matters into her own hands.
“I am going to sneak out of the house.” Leia said with some excitement in her voice.
Luke just about choked at his sisters ‘revelation”.
“Umm. . .no you aren’t” He said sternly.
Leia chuckled before sliding off his bed and began to walk over to her slightly older brother.
“You aren’t the boss of me Luke. What are you going to even do, cry and tell mommy and daddy? You’re no fun at all. In fact: you’re straight up boring. I don’t need your consent. I’m doing what I want.”
And with that, she stormed out of the room.
Luke sat at his desk quietly, thinking hard.
“She wouldn’t actually do it, will she?” He asked Lola, who was still off and had most of her parts laid out on the table.
He sighed heavily but decided his sister didn’t have the guts to carry out such a dangerous idea.
Or, so he thought.
+++
“Leia?! O.M.G girl, I thought your parents were gonna say no to you turning up!” Leia smiled when she recognised the face of her best friend, a Twi-Lek named Brigade, and her friend, Han Solo.
“Yeah, they did say no. But I came anyway.” Leia said matter-of-factly.
Brigade gasped and squealed with excitement.
“About time you take control of your life! That’s so badass of you!”
Han Solo chuckled at that and patted Leia’s head fondly.
“And if anything happens, don’t forget I’m here.” he winked.
Leia rolled her eyes at his playful banter and noticed that the streets of Coruscant was more packed than she expected.
“Wow, there’s a lot of people here.” She trailed off.
“Yup. But it’s normal for an event like this.” Brigade said casually.

“Luke, what do you mean she left?” I panicked when I entered Leia’s room and found it empty with her window wide open.
“I-I am so sorry, mother.” Luke stuttered. “I didn’t think she’d actually do it and decided against telling you. I should’ve and I am so sorry.”
Anakin had his arms crossed and he was staring at the ceiling as if it was the most interesting thing in the room. You cleared your throat to gain his attention, to which he obliged.
“Ani? What are we going to do?”
“Well, we need to go find her, first of all. But this event is a planet-wide thing and I don’t even know where to start looking.”
Luke gulped and began to burst into tears.
“I am so sorry! It’s all my fault!”
You reached out to your son and hugged him tightly, kissing him on the top of his head.
“It’s all of our faults. We have been too strict with you children and this behaviour was bound to happen eventually. If anything, it’s our fault.” You said calmly, glancing at Anakin to see him nodding in agreement.
“Now, let’s go find your sister.”

“Umm. . .are you sure this is safe, Brigade?” Leia asked, gulping heavily when Brigade split up from Han Solo and was leading Leia away from the rest of the crowd to an alley-way close by.
“Yup! Totally safe. As long as you're here with me.” Brigade said carelessly.
Leia nodded and tried to take her friend’s advice to heart, but through the force, she could sense something terrible was about to happen.
“Well, well, well. Look-y here! The Twi-Lek actually did it!” Leia heard a voice from behind her and she spun quickly on her heels and noticed there was two masked people in front of her. A man and a woman.
“What are they talking about?” Leia asked cautiously.
Brigade slowly faced Leia with an emotionless expression.
“You should’ve stayed home, Leia. Coming out here by yourself was foolish.”
“What do you mean? What are you on about, Brigade?”
“When I first found out how high the bounty was for you and your brother, I knew I had to get close to you. I’m sorry if it hurts, but my family needed the money.”
Leia felt hot tears fall down her cheek at the news. Her childhood friend had been using her this whole time?
“What the Kriff, Brigade. You traitor. I thought we were friends!” She sobbed.
Brigade continued to stand completely still without showing a pang of regret.
“So sad, but we have no time for theatrics! The big man wants the job to be done A-S-A-P. We have a ship to catch.” The woman said carelessly, as she dug into a satchel that was around her shoulders and pulled out a big sack of credits.
“A thousand credits, just as we promised you.” The man said.
Brigade caught the bag and opened it and looked over her newly-earned loot.
“Thank you, Leia. You just saved my father from a certain death.” Brigade said with a small smile on her face.
Leia felt strong arms grab her by the shoulders and she felt herself get yanked to the ground.
“I got you Leia!” She sat up and noticed Han had rushed into the alley and was now fighting for his life against the two masked people.
“Run! Get out of here!” He yelled at her. Leia quickly scrambled to her feet and rushed out of the alley, searching for the direction home.
But, once again, she felt someone grab onto her, making her let out a bloody sounding scream.
“Leia, it’s okay!”
Leia recognised the voice of her father and latched onto him tightly.
“Dad! I am so glad I found you! You and mom were right! Everything here is dangerous, please take me home!”
“Leia, what happened?” you asked with a calm voice bending over slightly to reach her eye level.
“Alley-way, and Brigade selling me or something and- O.M.G! Han is there all by himself! He needs help!” Leia exclaimed with complete terror and worry laced in her voice. She pointed at the direction she came from and her father nodded and began to rush that way.
When he was out of sight, Leia looked back up at you and could see that you were smiling and looked the complete opposite of how she expected.
“Why are you smiling? I thought you’d be so mad at me.”
“Oh, I am mad at you, Leia.” Your eye twitched in annoyance. “But I am so thankful that you are alright and nothing happened to you.”
Leia sniffled some more and buried her face into your warm body.
“I’m sorry, mum.” Leia cried.
“Shh. . .let’s talk about this when we get home.”
+++
“So, you actually were going to take me and Luke to the event?” Leia asked with complete disbelief in her eyes.
You nodded and looked over at your husband who still was nursing a bruise he had gotten from the fight on his left cheek.
“Yes, your father and I have decided that we can’t make you guys live in solitude for all of your childhood, so we agreed to take you out into the city some more. However, because of your behaviour, you should expect to not be going anywhere for a week.”
Leia nodded in understanding, but she couldn’t help but smile.
“You’ve actually decided that mum?” She asked.
You chuckled and raised your arms to invite your two children into a hug. They both giggled and practically jumped into your arms, making you fall back a bit.
“I love you mom!” They both said at the same time.
“Hey! How about me? I saved your friend and got your ‘attempt captors’ put into custody!” Anakin said with a fake frown on his face.
“Yeah, thank you father.” Leia said with a genuine smile plastered across her face. Anakin also smiled and joined the group hug.
The Skywalker family was happy and safe once again.

The Acolyte was NOT a failure. It was failed. Hear me out.
Hello, friends. I want to talk seriously for a moment as a creator myself and a Star Wars fan who did not like the Acolyte. Specifically, I am here to stand up for the Acolyte despite it not being good in my opinion especially after seeing Mr. Pablo Gunner's rage review video where he shared many words of wisdom that Yoda would be proud of. I suggest watching it first.
youtube
The Acolyte itself was not a failure. It was failed by mistakes, taking risks that did not pay off and amateur writing. And to be honest, that's not the worst way a show can fail because in spite of its flaws, it doesn't change the fact that the series itself had many great ideas: a murder mystery, the villain's POV, calling out that not all Jedi are good, showing that there are other force users that fall into the gray area and so on. Plus, those fight scenes were worthy of being in the cinema and the characters you did connect with were great. In the end, I was rooting for Osha. In fact, I still am despite what she did in the end.
More importantly, just because the show was not good in my opinion doesn't mean it cannot be good in anyone's opinion. And beyond that, just because you don't like it doesn't mean you have the right to be mean about it. In fact, that shames the lore of Star Wars more than all the bad works altogether even the ones that had obvious resentment behind the writing (but that's another discussion). The quality of how you react to art is just as important as the quality of the art itself. Yes, I admit that Hollywood's obsession with DEI, representation and inclusion has gone too far and in fact hurts the very groups they're trying to uplift, but you don't solve one problem by creating another.
Also, the amount of badmouthing and hatemongering isn't just embarrassing anymore. It's mean. An artist doesn't deserve to be hung, crucified, sued, grounded or humiliated just because they made a work of art you didn't like. Heck, I believe that the cartoon Daria even addressed this. Kathleen Kennedy, Amandla Stenberg and all these other folks behind Star Wars are people with feelings and lives. Even if they act silly themselves or make bad decisions, they're people. And for many of these people, the Acolyte was their first ever project. Sadly, not everyone's first big project is a hit, but that's ok. What is not ok is beating people down. Now, I myself have given negative criticism on art pieces, BUT I criticize the art not the people and I try to be fair while removing anger from the equation. And I try not to be spiteful because as an artist myself, I've been there and know how it feels. Putting your art out in public is scary and I can tell you from experience that it doesn't get easier. However, it takes courage to do it in general and that within itself is admirable.
In closing, I want to add that I take absolutely no joy in how the Acolyte was not good. I wanted it to be good. I wanted Amandla Stenberg to do good. I even believed that its good points alone made it deserve a second chance with a season 2. I'm sad that this project didn't work out and I'm more sad for Amandla which is why I want her to still have a second chance in general. She has good ideas.
Please, be kind when media fails because kindness and support when people do wrong can inspire other people to be better. I mean, that was the whole point of Luke's struggle with Darth Vader. When everyone gave up on Vader, Luke still believed in him and fought to pull him out of the darkness with his heart, and he did it. Hence his famous line "I am a Jedi like my father before me." Luke was not talking about what his father used to be. It's what he believed he still was which was not only worth fighting for, but living up to as well hence why he showed mercy and support to Vader.
With that all said, let's all strive to be "Jedis" like your fathers, mothers, siblings and friends before us. Stop the hate and show support even when people fall to the dark side.

Hi!  I'm not sure how much help I'm going to be because my view of the sequel trilogy lives in kind of a nebulous space, where I really like the characters and I actually like a lot of the potential of the storyline, but I dislike TFA, greatly dislike TLJ, and was actually pretty okay with TROS all things considered. I don't want to dig too deep into the negativity of my feelings but they're basically - TFA was too much of a repainting of ANH for me, the initial shine of it was through its potential, but when that didn't pay off in the other movies, the shine came off TFA, too. - TLJ was set too close to TFA, Finn's character should have been tied into the Canto Bight plot (which was exhausting as it was), as a stolen child soldier he has the most reason to hate the rich, but absolutely nothing was done with him, Luke being on that island for that long was out of character for him, Rey's entire story became wrapped up in Kylo Ren, neither of those characters had nearly enough connections with others despite having very good reasons to, like why do we not spend more time on Luke & Kylo?? and it played at being subversive but it absolutely was not, it's all been done before (and I really hated the way Force abilities worked in the movie) and killing off your main villain in the second act was a baffling decision - TROS' biggest problem is that it should have been two movies instead of one, it was a series of trailers rather than a story with breathing room, and it suffered the most from the lack of planning + the main villain being killed off in the second movie But here's why I still like The Rise of Skywalker the best:  The bones of what's there are a pretty good Star Wars story!  Yes, Rey Palpatine came out of nowhere and was very silly, but if you can't handle silly, I don't know how you can make it as a Star Wars fan, it's such a silly franchise! I'm not afraid to love a scene I laugh out loud at--and, yeah, I laughed RIGHT OUT LOUD the first time Kylo dramatically said, "You're a Palpatine."  I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes and let me tell you, I fucking LOVE that scene now. Or how the last words of any Skywalker, the last word Ben Solo/Kylo Ren ever says in the movies' franchise is, "Ow."  I am laughing RIGHT NOW, please, p l e a s e, that is so on-brand, I can't handle it, it's too funny. But I also like the basic storyline because Rey's story in TROS is her struggling with her own inner darkness, that she feels there's something dark in her soul because she's Palpatine's granddaughter.  The movie isn't saying that's true, but that Rey struggles with thinking it's true, and she has to wrestle with her dark side, just like every Jedi before her has as they're coming into their power. Anakin wrestled with his dark side and lost in Attack of the Clones and even worse in Revenge of the Sith. Luke wrestled with his dark side in the vision he sees of himself in Vader's helmet in the cave in ESB and in the climactic scene of ROTJ, where he nearly hacks his father's arm off in rage after his sister and friends are threatened.  He has to claw his way back out of that. Ezra Bridger struggles with the dark side in Rebels as he comes into his power and he has to claw his way out of it as well. Rey has to struggle with her own lure towards the dark side as she comes into her power--she rips a ship apart in the sky because she was so determined that Chewie was hers, she was so angry at Kylo that Force lightning burst out of her.  She's seeing Sith visions of herself on the wreckage of the Death Star.  This is a theme that has been there since the very beginning, that Jedi have to struggle through a temptation to the dark, and her relation to Palpatine preys on that. That's kind of why I wound up loving Ben's scene with Han as well, because that was an entirely imagined scene, but it represents that the way the Force works, you have to dig yourself out of the hole you're in, that Ben using the memory of his father, the last moments of connection he had with his mother, to pull himself out of the dark, really worked for me.  And I'm okay with his death, because this is Star Wars, people die before they should all the time. I even liked the political message of the final movie, yes, Rey vs Palpatine was the big Jedi vs Sith showdown, but the main galactic battle?  Had people showing up.  Just... people.  One of the themes I've talked a lot about, especially because The Clone Wars kind of has it as a running theme is that the average galactic citizen doesn't do jack shit about the state of the galaxy they live in.  The Rebellion had people starting to stand up, but it was an organized effort, it recruited people. TROS had just people showing up, that Leia and the Resistance had been trying to rally the cause, but ultimately it was the galactic public finally, finally saying, "We have to stand up and fight for ourselves, not depend on other people to do it."  Was it ham-fisted and not nearly as polished as it should have been?  Oh, no doubt.  But the message.  Just people showing up to fight against the First Order that was trying to bring back the Empire.  That meant a lot to me. And I loved Luke's character here, that he admitted when he was wrong, and gave us that banger line that's spot on:  "Confronting fear is the destiny of a Jedi."  Yes.  Yes.  FUCKING YES.  LUKE SKYWALKER AND JEDI PHILOSOPHY.  MY HEART.  Nailed it. Does this movie hang together as well as it should?  Absolutely not.  It needed a stronger writer, it needed more time than it got, and it needed better build-up.  But the bones of what was there were actually pretty good and, man, any movie that has Daisy Ridley in that white outfit with the hood where she looked practically ethereal cannot be all bad, in my opinion.
