- besides lucifer, satan is very sleek and neat when putting on neck ties

- had a phase where he absolutely despised coffee and tea because he found out lucifer enjoyed it. deep down he knew he enjoyed them too and it'd be one of the reasons for his constant rampages..

- started enjoying lofi music ever since levi introduced him to it.

- out of all the brothers, satan feels the most comfortable crying in front of mammon the most. (can i get some big brother mammon appreciation out here? 😔)

- he's the type to practice his lines in front of the mirror before asking you out on the date! he just wants everything to be perfect for you and yes sometimes he messes up but it's your fault for being too pretty

- worked as a librarian once as a part time job and lemme tell you..sales went high as fuck after that and the manager even BEGGED him to stay for longer. (which he did, as long as he got to have free books :p)

- tried the "which of the seven brothers are you?" quiz and got lucifer.

- is very skilled with the piano and even made a few pieces that reminded him of you <3

- really enjoys ear piercings and even got one himself!

- owns a clothing brand in the human world and even tried making you the co-owner. it's a really big success and he uses the money to buy you gifts

- can't go a day without kissing you atleast once! he feels like his lips would dry if doesn't get to even leave a peck on you

- does that back arch thing in his room when he's bored 👀

- bought so many makeup products once to the point lucifer banned makeup in HOL for like a month 💀 asmo held a grudge for a while because he was lowkey kinda conscious of his appearance when he'd go outside. especially when he's in front of you! ;((

- always constipated like idk he just seems like the type to only shit once a week lmfao

- one time (or two..or three) he accidentally used a different toothbrush that belonged to one of the brothers because he was half asleep

- hates the feeling of jewelry on him because he thinks it's just in the way. especially hates earrings because it's a nuisance when he sleeps.

- HORRIBLE driver and can't drive for shit. crashed mammon's car once because he fell asleep. and his in defense was because traffic was so long smh

- he can't live without his cardigans. always wears long sleeved shirts unless it's summer season in the devildom and settles for loose shirts. he also has a habit of pulling his sleeves that it nearly covers his whole hand

i recommend watching connors video its really well done i think he went into the topic in a wonderful manner. he goes into the timeline of everything, explaining vtubers, mouseys primary immune deficiency, and all that context that i think people tend to gloss over.

connor even goes into showing examples of the hate mousey has gotten on platforms like tiktok. which sorta illustrate the overall picture of what mousey has had to consistently deal with. i think one of the moments for me when i realized how bad the hate had gotten was during the subathon where everyday people would come into mouseys chat to say something hateful. everyday. to the point where mousey would have to address these comments and specifically told her community, hey i know seeing hate sparks the reaction of wanting to comment back but dont. and if you truly feel the need to then simply reply donate plasma. saying this while facing some of the most malicious hate ive ever seen. still she would rather try to spread some positivity and awareness by saying to donate plasma rather than trying to shit on other creators communities which is a level of maturity i fucking admire. and i think in this period of the internet we dont see all too often. in the video connor actually shows examples of these chat messages from a 85 PAGE LONG DOCUMENT. fucking bizarre. and yet i still remember during that subathon era seeing people say she wasn’t getting hated on at all and that her fans were exaggerating.

what i really appreciate is connor even making this video on this cause as someone who watches ironmouse consistently and watched the entire subathon and all their streams together this is a topic that mousey is very vocal on with her chat and she talks a lot about this to connor. and he’s always been very sympathetic and there to defend her so it’s cool to see him constantly have her back and vtubers as a whole since hes so intertwined with these communities despite them not being his community per say. connor bluntly stating in the video, “yes you got me. this is a video about me defending my friend 100%. i’m not even trying to hide that. but i also just want to bring a tiny bit of attention to the level of normalized hate that is for some reason acceptable.” is awesome. and a video like this hopefully can inform others and make people realize that the level of hate thats accepted on the internet nowadays is wild. and i need this to be clear mousey has spoken about this hate train she’s been enduring a numerous amount of times and it doesnt get seen as much. but she has spoken about it and what she sees and gets told privately on a daily basis. from her own words the hate just gets more intense as time goes by. and it sucks that shes such a kind creator who has to deal with it just cause shes.. a vtuber.

OBV LIKE. i know color theory a little but more i honestly really rely on post processing more than anything. while im an artist and i love doing art im.... i'm just really good at bullshitting LMAO i'm better at little tricks to get to the finished product than like. being actually knowledgeable and practicing things..... which i should do more. I need to do more studies when i have time.... there's no harm in shortcuts or references or tricks and i've learned to not be ashamed of it!! (obviously, this is not referring to generative image AI or directly tracing/stealing from other creators i need to be clear) end product- creating cool visuals/scenes is what is my passion for art has really come to in the past few years and while it's made me, sadly, a very ambitious perfectionist (the worst combo), it's the most fun i have with art!

What Makes Confluence New?

Right now on Backerkit, Confluence: The Living Archive is in its final 11 days of funding. This is a Table Top Role Playing Game unlike any other, but not just for the reasons you might think.

Look, yes, it's a 6 book set with incredible art and layout and an amazing world to explore. This is all true. It's a true living world you get to dive into and experience at the table. That's great, truly!

But the thing that made Confluence different from any other project out there that I've ever heard of, is that in this industry, freelance writing for TTRPGs pays pennies on the word you turn in.

Some people were recently talking about how 10 cents per word is pretty good! You write 5000 words for a project? That's a nice $500. Other indie people were talking about paying 7 cents per word. But what they almost never offer is hourly pay, or pay for work you do outside the writing (including researching the game material you're writing for, or research for what you're writing!)

The Confluence Contract

Confluence has always meant the world to me. Truly. I tried to fund it and make it on my own multiple times in the past. When the Alleyman's Tarot was successful, I immediately wrote the contract with my lawyer for Confluence.

Everyone who worked on the project would make $25/hr for any work they do on the project. We would all feel we had equal pull and power here in that way, as it had to be collaborative.

Everyone would be paid an up-front Retainer of $10,000 if they were going to work part time, or $20,000 if they were going to work 30 or more hours a week. This was to alleviate current financial stress and give them space to explore the game with more freedom.

Everyone who worked on the project would share ownership with things they make. New cool mechanic? It lives in Confluence AND the creator can take it to their own games later. Awesome NPC? In Confluence and can be adapted anywhere else! I didn't want anyone to hold anything back. As far as I know, this has never been done before.

I did all this because, you see, I had an amazing team of people who came together to help bring this to life. People in the US, yes, but in Canada, the UK, Brazil, India, the Philippines. You can learn more and get links to them on the Pub Gob website here!

Do You Expect This to be the New Standard?

No, I don't expect all indie publishers to start doing this for TTRPGs. It's costly and not easy. But I want to stress that this is a unique situation we will likely never see again. And Confluence can only exist into the future with such an amazing team if we can step up support on the crowdfunding project!

This experiential game doesn't want to change the industry, but it changed the process behind the scenes already. If you believe in such a thing, a possibility for people to be paid fairly and have equal say and keep the rights for their works, consider believing in this project with us. Sam walks in the lab, which is where you work on any of the Avengers techs. He smiles when he sees you. He’s always happy to see you. He thinks you’re kind and sweet. It’s not a secret that Sam has a crush on you. Little does Sam know that you have a crush on him too, but you’re too shy to tell him about it.

“Hey, Y/N!” Sam smiles.

“H-Hey, Sam.” You smiled back.

Damn your nervous stutter.

Sam placed redwing and wings on the table next to you.

“When you get time, can you check out the tech on these please?” He asks. “Redwing is glitching a bit.” He says.

You gave him a smile and nodded. Sam smiles back before leaving the lab. The blush that crept up on your cheeks when Sam walked in the room stayed on your face for a while. You shook your head before averting your attention on the tech on Sam’s gear.

It doesn’t take you long to work on tech, but when it’s Sam’s gear, you like to take your time and make sure everything is perfect for him. You were so focused on his gear that you didn’t even hear Sam walk in the lab.

“How’s it going?” Sam asks, accidentally startling you.

You get clumsy around Sam. You weren’t much of a clumsy person before you met him. You squeaked and dropped the mini screwdriver you were using on the floor.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.” He apologizes.

“It’s ok.” You say quietly.

You bent down and picked up the mini screwdriver, putting it on the table. You reached across the table to grab a different tool when you almost fell off the stool you’re sitting on. Sam put his hand on your back to steady you. That made you blush uncontrollably.

“Be careful. Don’t want you getting your pretty self hurt.” He says softly.

Sam thinks you’re pretty?! You were freaking out on the inside.

The mini screwdriver slipped out of your hand and blush crept up on your cheeks when he asked you that.

“Not- Not in a bad way.” You replied.

Sam stared at you for a moment. It didn’t take him long to realize what you meant.

“Do you have a crush on me?” He asks.

“How- How did you know that? Did Natasha or Wanda tell you that?” You asked.

“No. I just now figured it out.” He replies. “How come you didn’t tell me?” He asks.

“I-I didn’t want to make things weird for you. Also, I think you’re really handsome.” You say.

Sam smiles at you. Your breath hitched in your throat when he cupped your cheek. You two gazed deeply in each other’s eyes for a few seconds before he leaned in and kissed you. His lips feel soft on yours. He’s a way better kisser than you thought.

The next day, Sam mostly hung out with you in the lab, except that morning. He had a meeting with the Avengers for an upcoming mission. After that, he hung out in the lab while you worked. Sam watches closely as you worked. Like how focused you get when you’re working. He also notices how you stick out the tip of your tongue or bit your bottom lip as you worked. He thinks it’s cute.

“You’re cute when you do that.” Sam compliments softly.

“When I do what?” You asked, looking up from his tech.

“You stick your tongue out or bite your lip when you’re focused.” He points out.

“Oh.” You blushed. “Thank you.” You smiled.

You finished the last little fixes on Sam’s tech as he watches you closely with the look of interest on his face.

Hello there!!! How’s your day going so far emperor?

Old time fan here! I’ve been catching up on Some of my old transformers fandoms ever since I watched transformers one, and I remember about this awesome project you and many other creators made (btw your work is outstanding, Keep it up!!!) and I’m amazed at how much has changed and it makes me feel incredibly happy that my favorite transformers prime fan-storyline is still here! I remembered finding your videos when it was back in 2020 during quarantine. I always played through the beta version of “mercy” when it first came out and I remember feeling so excited for it; and I’d always wanted to best path for starscream be at least a good guy since he was my favorite character (and still is today)

And now seeing that the game is still in the works and seeing so many new bots is so exciting and happy to see the dedication to this!!! I know I have to catch up on the lore and stuff but it’ll be a fun experience for me, though I just wanted to ask a few questions before I end my first ever question that wasn’t anonymous,

Question 1: is there a discord server where I could possibly join? I want to make sure I could keep up with the latest updates for this project!

Question 2: I know I’ll need to read the Ao3 storyline for mercy but how does predaking and starscreams relationship grow over time during one of the paths? (I can’t remember but I think it was the one where predaking spears him and just keeps an eye on him— along with the predacons going to live in the wild or something? Can’t remember much lol)

And for my last question;

Question 3: Hows the process of “Mercy” going so far? Seeing all the art being made its absolutely stunning and beautifully done!

For the storyline you are referring to, I have fully written the story where the Predacons live in the wild of Cybertron with Starscream as their guide. It is THE Starscream story of Mercy and is a tale of friendship. Your adventure gets dangerous later on, so it turns into a fun survival game too! This is the written version of the choose your own adventure story. It's called "Discovery".

The main paths of Transformers: Mercy are on AO3. There are three full length story games available right now and the fourth is in progress. Check out my complete list of works and you may be surprised just how much has been completed since the beta part 1!

Mercy Part 1 (2020): A collection of the various starts to the game. A bit under construction right now to adapt to new plans. Quality is being improved (and the videos will be redone)

Space Adventure (2021): the choice to work with the Autobots on the landing site/spaceport at the end of Part 1. Travel to other worlds!

Reformed Predator (2022): the choice to eat Starscream in Part 1. Become a carnivorous monster then get therapy.

Discovery (2023): the choice to live in the wilderness at the end of Part 1. Explore beautiful lands and befriend Starscream.

Monstrous Heart (2024): the choice to work with the Autobots in the city at the end of Part 1. Discover the dark secrets of the Autobots and Decepticons, thwart the Vehicon mafia.

Right now I'm trying to do a lot of editing for my older content to improve it. I'm also doing a massive effort to prepare Part 2 videos for the Mercy stories so far. And doing my own Mercy art, annd I really need to write Monstrous Heart to completion this year! One novel-length game every year is the goal.

Reading The Subspace Emissary's Worlds Conquest so You Don't Have To

...Okay, let me explain.

The year is 2015. I'm 14 years old and I have no idea what fanfiction is. I barely know what fandom is. I have no clue what's going on in life (and arguably still don't, but whatever). BUT. I am already a huge Nintendo geek. Me and my brothers have recently acquired Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii, and have just completed the entirety of its epic adventure mode: The Subspace Emissary. It was, as everyone knows, freaking awesome. The ultimate crossover that every Nintendo fan had ever wanted. It was a dream come true.

And then it was over. Oops. We just ran out of game to play. Awkward. But... there was a hint of something more going on with Subspace. Not everything in the game was fully explained. There is, incidentally, a reason for this. Due to constraints not all of the Subspace story was able to be properly implemented in the game. So Masahiro Sakurai, the game's creator, had to explain a couple of extra stuff on the game's website.

So naturally, past me took to the internet. And eventually he'd stumble upon the Smash Dojo website and get all of his questions answered, scratching the itch that the search for knowledge always inspires in people. But the thing is, when you put something into Google search, it's autocomplete will give you suggestions, trying to guess what you're typing before you type it so you don't have to type the whole thing. And lo and behold, when past me typed in "the subspace emissary" into the search bar...

Excuse me? What the heck is this? Since when does the Subspace Emissary have a "Worlds Conquest"? What even is a "Worlds Conquest"? That's not correct grammar, is it? Is this a game mode I missed? A separate game? Some extra lore? Something completely unrelated to Smash Bros that just happens to have the words "Subspace Emissary" in it??? At first I ignored it in favor of getting the original information I was looking for, but since I am a geek and was hyperfixated on Subspace at the time curiosity got the better of me. I searched "the subspace emissary's worlds conquest" and clicked the first (non-ad) link that popped up.

Poor precious baby me. You had no idea what you were in for.

The Subspace Emissary's Worlds Conquest is a Super Smash Bros. fanfiction written by AuraChannelerChris on fanfiction.net. It is not, as you may have heard claimed, the longest piece of fiction ever written. At this point, it's not even the longest piece of Smash Bros. fanfiction ever written, which is an absurd thing to think about. But at one point it was a contender for the title of longest piece of fiction, and it's certainly one of the most famous. Worlds Conquest currently has over four million words (4,102,217 according to TvTropes.org) meaning it's one heck of a doorstopper.

It was initially published on March 4th, 2008 (right about when Smash Bros. Brawl was being released in the United States) and continued to update for quite a while. By the time past me discovered it in 2015, around 220 chapters had been published. That number would soon be brought up to 221, while the author was also going back and rewriting earlier chapters to have a higher standard of quality. Its most recent update was in June of 2018, with another chapter rewrite, and there hasn't been any indication of further updates since. It's just sitting there on ff.net. 221 chapters. Unfinished.

But just because it's unfinished doesn't mean it's any less of an epic read. Some of the individual chapters are longer than full length novellas. This thing is a behemoth that EARNED its reputation in the fandom circles. It's almost hard to believe the project was initially started with the goal of helping the author (a native Spanish-speaker) improve at English.

What is The Subspace Emissary's Worlds Conquest about? To summarize, it's about the author's original character Chris (not confirmed to be a Self-Insert, but I have suspicions) teaming up with just about the entire Smash Bros. Brawl roster to save all of reality from the Subspace Army, which unfortunately didn't stay down after getting beaten up during the events of the original game's Adventure Mode. This involves visiting the worlds of a lot of different games and engaging in all sorts of shenanigans. Pretty much every game franchise you can think of gets a story arc associated with it, with multiple overarching myth arcs as the so-called "Smashers" make gradual progress against the forces of evil. Is it kind of generic, as fanfic premises go? Yes. "My OC gets to hang out with the main cast" stories are a dime a dozen. But this story managed to go on for way longer than any other of its kind, and was supported from start to finish. Its reputation continues to attract people to it to this day! So I'd say that's got to be worth something.

Okay, back to past me. Again, at the beginning of 2015, I had no idea what a fanfiction even was. My main priorities in life were geeking out over the latest Pokemon game, eating Kraft Mac & Cheese (the best food to ever grace this planet's surface), and procrastinating every single middle school homework assignment I ever received. To me, Worlds Conquest was not a fanfiction, nor was it one of the longest works of fiction ever written, it was just "this cool story I found online". And it was cool. 14-year-old me was HOOKED. I spent just about every ounce of my free time on my phone reading it. I am a very fast reader. I read all of Homestuck in under a month, But this took me significantly longer to get through! But I had never seen anything like it before! It gripped me in a chokehold and didn't let me go. For a few months, this fanfic was my life. I would read it in bed after my parents went to sleep (Mom and Dad if you're somehow on tumblr and reading this, don't act surprised, I know I was NOT as subtle about it as I thought I was). I would read it instead of doing homework (DO NOT DO THIS PEOPLE HOMEWORK IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO GET DONE). I definitely didn't understand everything that was going on in it. Not only was I a relatively sheltered child, but I also just hadn't played that many video games, and Worlds Conquest references a LOT of them. But still I read on, and on, and on...

And then, once the whole dang story was over and I was done, I clicked the next link that pops up when you search "the subspace emissary's worlds conquest", which at the time was the link to the fic's TvTropes.org page. I didn't know what TvTropes was. Turns out it's one HECK of a gateway drug to fandom, fanfic, and media in general. I fell down the fandom rabbit hole and have been quietly disappointed by the lengths of all the fanfics I've read ever since. Turns out when a doorstopper fic is your introduction to fanfiction it warps your perspective a little. But I've still had a ton of fun! A few years later, I went back and actually reread the whole thing again just for kicks, and because I must be insane.

But now? Now it's been ten years since I first read Worlds Conquest. I've read way more fics since then, and honestly my standards in whether I like a fanfiction or not have probably gone up significantly. I've definitely gotten better at looking for quality and not just quantity, to be sure. So that leads me to wonder...

Is Worlds Conquest ACTUALLY good? Or am I just biased?

So I've decided I'm going to reread it. Seriously, this time. And since I actually know how to do research now and have learned about more games that AREN'T Pokemon in the past decade, I won't just skim through the bits that I don't understand. Does this story deserve to be revered as a titan, a benchmark for other long fics to surpass? Or is it just overrated? Personally, I really hope it's still good as I remember it being, or at least somewhat decent. But you never know. So time to read it again and double-check! Right? ...Right???

And chances are, you're probably curious to know if The Subspace Emissary's Worlds Conquest is any good too! Nobody has the time to read massive doorstoppers in this day and age unless they're like. Retired. And retired people are significantly less likely to read fanfiction, statistically speaking. All you people who actually are interested have stuff like work, or school, and extreme bouts of apathy caused by depression, which prevent you from spending time reading one of the longest fanfictions to ever grace this beautiful Earth with its presence. Especially since it's unfinished, right? No point in committing if it's not DONE.

But lucky you! You don't HAVE to commit! Because I've decided on committing FOR you, assuming I actually have the chutzpah to follow through. (Historically I don't, but now I have the internet to hold me accountable!) The goal with this is for me to reread all of Worlds Conquest and summarize it for you, likely chapter-by-chapter, so that you still get to learn just what the heck this astounding monster of a fic is about without having to do all the work yourself. I get to reexperience my childhood and view the story with fresh eyes, and you get to become educated in this definitely important fandom icon. It's a win-win!

So come along with me, as we jump right into the experience of a lifetime, reading The Subspace Emissary's Worlds Conquest-

See, the thing is, Worlds Conquest is not a work that exists in isolation. It's actually a sequel. Though thankfully its predecessor work, AuraChannelerChris's The Bond of Aura, is much, MUCH shorter than its sequel, and is significantly less plot-heavy. But it still provides some really important context that's convenient to have when going into Worlds Conquest. It's not mandatory per se, obviously I didn't read it when I first discovered the behemoth and I was fine. But it's still helpful, and provides some info such as:

Explaining why he's able to HAVE the insane adventure he's about to go on without it disrupting his life in the "real" world too much.

Definitely one of the (many) things I like about Transformers Animated universe is the lack of Primus and those thirteen original Primes. And the reason for their absence? Derrick J. Wyatt just hated such concept.

Nowadays, its popularity and frequency of occurrence is higher (I think?) aaand as a result of that people occasionally automatically apply it to various tf continuities which didn't mention it yet, or like in case of TFA - information about their absence is not widely known. Of course, it's understandable when someone doesn't know much about a given continuity, as not everyone likes or cares about each show and people are not obliged to learn about each continuity.

However, I just find such a phenomenon interesting,

but on the other hand, seeing people take concepts from, for example, IDW continuity and copy them dot to dot can be quite weird, especially when they don't fit the target continuity's climate too much...

Coming back to the topic of Primus and the gang the 13 Primes, I am not a ,,grrr religioion baadd!1! >:C" person, however, I have always found the thirteen original Primes thing a bit silly? A ,,trying to be cool fr", ,,trust me these guys are awesome, icons". For some reason it has never intrigued me... maybe except for Solus Prime, though, She is kinda awesome. As for Primus, I am of the opinion that having Quintessons as the creators of Cybertronians is more interesting :o , but he isn't so bad.

Hmm... Both Quintessons and Primes n' Prime gang have been used so frequently that I wonder when the stories will jump to something else...

Can I ask something that ive been thinking about for a few hours now, that i do not want it to come across as being rude, but WHY does LordCrumps and clique convert stuff that is already done? Because then we the downloader end up with duplicates and it can get confusing to find duplicates and not to mention that other creators might feel bad that their stuff will not be picked and used because they are choosing your stuff instead, which is not how the Sims 2 community works, we share and work together. Its just my opinion and I do not want you to be offended, i am just curious.

Hey Anon, Okay, this is quite a message to break down. First of, I assume that the "clique" you mention is myself, @tvickiesims and @platinumaspiration, @episims? (there are tons more people that I collab with personally, but these are the ones I mostly work with) If this is the case, then as friends we like working and collaborating together, many hands make light work in that sense! Like you mentioned, this community it built up on team work and collaborations, I personally love working with friends, and involving as many people as I can utilising their 'specialities' and knowledge to create awesome conversions.

So now onto the "duplicate" portion of that message, yeah fundamentally there will be dupes of stuff out there, each creator will do things differently, ranging from making stuff deco or functional, categorise them differently, edit the mesh differently, have shadows or not, reduce texture sizes / keep texture sizes etc, the list is endless. I convert stuff how I want them, how I want the object to be made. So to not "tell" people how to convert stuff to my specifications, I just do it myself.

I also like doing sets of stuff, so its a one hit download for all the items. I always hated it when there would be sets uploaded and the sofas would be on link 1, the chairs on link 2, the tables are on link 3 etc. I get overwhelmed so out of preference I just like a one link fits all.

Not to mention it's about consistency; like I said earlier I create stuff how I like it, if I include others stuff / or links to others, then they might not match, ie; missing shadows and what not. So this way, I know that all items in a set are going to be of the same quality.

Following on from that point, if I did link to others or include their stuff in the sets, it might go against the TOU of that creator - not that any one person owns the rights to TS4 conversions, but that's a different debate for another time...-

It is also easier for my brain to just load up Sims 4 Studio, see everything that belongs in that pack, and then just convert it in its entirety. I get overwhelmed when in a creative flow stopping to look around seeing if its already been done. At the end of the day, its not a competition or a contest, it does not matter if there is the same stuff out there, just means there is more choice.

Hello Simmers! I was kindly asked what other creators' worlds I like. I can't fully answer this question, because first of all it's a very big list of creators and I'm sure I'll forget someone and then it will make me feel sad. Secondly I think every world has its fans, some interesting locations that you want to explore. I always enjoy looking at Simmers screenshots of the worlds they post.

I'd rather tell about the world leaving me impatiently waiting to download it. The try to create a world was a long time ago for me. Maybe someone remembers Pavot Bleu, I liked it. Some of its parts were saved for the new world, such as the church and one lot on the bay. But it was chaotic and without an overall concept tying it together. I see that when I saw the world of Tørsvall. Everything here is well thought out, attention is paid to every detail. The scenery is beautiful. Each community lot is unique, with its own history, and what interesting descriptions they have! And there's also a radio station and a newspaper printing press! It's awesome! And if @bioniczombie inspired me to do TS4 to TS3 conversions, @omedapixel inspired me to create the World you see on my blog.

The final version of the World will include only the most necessary CC and only Maxis Match. The landscape of the town is pretty flat, there isn't much decor in the World, attention to routing. Originally it was 1024x1024, but then there was not enough space for mountains. So it's now 1536x1536. I know, that's a lot. But the routing isn't complicated. Anyway, I don't have the most powerful laptop, but this loads fast and no crashes even on max settings. Just don't setting to play Detailed Lots 8) There aren't many lots, there's not much decor, just the necessary for the game. Most of the neighborhood houses are 20x20. Hopefully there won't be any issue. Thank you!

Gonna chatter on something here, don't mind me but I think this is an important point for the Digital Circus fandom to hear. Please bear with me past the first paragraph.

I'll be frank: as a neurodivergent person who has always relied a little too heavily on my hyperfixations for happiness because my own life isn't always so great and struggles with attachment, it does make me sad to know in advance that TADC is going to be done at nine episodes. I already know it's going to be incredibly difficult for me to say goodbye to it once the time comes. And you know, that's okay. It's okay to be sad to see a series that means so much to you, maybe even saved you, come to its conclusion. That's just natural.

That being said. I have nothing but absolute respect and admiration and gratitude for Gooseworx for sharing this incredible series with the world and for having the privilege of seeing her vision through to its conclusion on her terms. That's something that seems unfortunately rare in the animation industry, where so often a series will either get drawn out for so long it loses what made it special to begin with or get cancelled prematurely where the ending has to be rushed just to cram it in--or, worse yet, doesn't get to come to the creator's envisioned finale at all (glaring at you, Netflix). Goose stated from the start that the series would only be nine episodes long, and if that's all that is needed to tell the story, then that's that. Digital Circus is a series with a definite point to make--padding it with too much fluff and making it amble on too long would only detract from the message over time and make it less impactful (and yes, I do admit I would love a few no-stakes "filler" episodes of the cast just doing whatever together, but I also fully understand that isn't the type of show Goose is wanting to make). Wouldn't you much rather have a short yet beautiful and meaningful series you'll cherish and want to revisit again and again than no show at all, or one that never reaches a satisfactory ending and loses sight of the creator's vision?

(Also, this goes without saying, but harassing Goose over making another season is not a good look--not only will it not get you what you want, it just makes you sound selfish and ungrateful for what we do have. Please respect her and appreciate that Glitch has given her the opportunity to tell her story her way).

Not to mention, we're a little ahead of ourselves here--episode three is just around the corner, we're still really only at the beginning of this ride and have more than half of the show to get hyped up for, we're in it for the long haul. Goose also hinted that we might be getting some shorts tossed in as well, which would be awesome. And once it does end, I hope that the fandom will endure thanks to its creativity and love for the source material. You guys are all pretty amazing, and I look forward to enjoying the rest of this wonderful little series with you all.

Honest Thoughts: The 2024 Video Game Awards and Announcements

So, a couple of nights ago, me and a discord server I'm in did a group watch for the VGAs this year. Normally, we wouldn't care that much about the awards but would just watch them for the announcements for new games anyways. The award show itself was pretty decent anyways with some fun parts here and there. Statler and Waldorf were the best part of the show hands down, as they always were in the Muppets Show. The presentations for Best Narrative from Sam Lake was also pretty good as well as the presentation for Best Adaptation from Jesse Pinkman and Lucina (I will not specify that further). Now for the awards themselves, there are some pretty good winners, especially from Metaphor and Astro Bot with the ladder winning Best Game. Glad to see those two games win awards here and I could check them both out next year. I didn't like how Best Fighting Game was relegated to the First Act as I would love to see that on the main show with a presentation instead of a quick mention. Back to presentations, the one with the two TLOU actresses was the worst part of the show to me tbh, they were just boring.

Now for the announcements themselves and WOW they were something! First, there was the announcement of a new Ninja Gaiden game with Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound that seem to have both the old and new versions of Ryu Hayabusa. I'm already excited for this as a fan of ninjas and with hearing the difficulty of the first NG game and the first 3D game, which is a game I should check out some time.

There was then the announcement of Clive Rosfield from FF XVI being the last DLC character for Tekken 8's Season 1 DLC which is really cool to see as it follows Noctis being in T7 as DLC. I know most people wanted Tifa to be in Tekken (including myself), but hey, Clive looks great and the DLC stage looks great!

To a new project announced, there is genDESIGN's unannounced project, being made from the same creator of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian. I absolutely love SotC and I did enjoy myself with the demo of TLG found with the SotC remaster. The game itself seems to follow in the footsteps of SotC with a climbing mechanic, but there could be some cases of Ico within it. Not much is known seen in the teaser other than the gameplay and how it has a giant robot to be an important part of the game. Can't wait to see more about this project.

And then there's Intergalactic and I'm... conflicted. On one hand, Naughty Dog are FINALLY working on a new, original IP that's NOT a remaster, PC port, or both of The Last of Us Parts I and II, so thank god for that. On the other hand, Neil Druckmann is directing this game too. Now, if you like TLOU I and II, that's fine. I understand why people like those games, or at least the first game. It has a mass appeal to everyone with its narrative in both games. It's just that ND just focuses on ONLY those two games and nothing else, just shoving down our throats on how great it is, and I'm worried it'll be the same thing with Intergalactic for the next 5 years. But who knows, maybe it'll turn out great, idk.

Now for the five announcements that stole the show from two companies.

First, there is Sega with the one-two punch of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's two new projects: a new installment in the Virtua Fighter franchise and Project Century. Seeing VF come back after years of new versions of VF5 is awesome, with the only two characters being confirmed for the game being Akira Yuki and Stella who is either the daughter of Jacky or Sarah Bryant, or (and this is sort of a fan theory) a clone of Sarah created by J6 given that she looks similar to her, especially that it seems that VF6 as I could call it could take place years after VF5 and Judgement 6 could return. As for other characters coming back, I expect Pai, Kage Maru, and Jacky to be here. Lau I'm guessing is definitely dead as this point with his move set going to either Pai or to Lei Fei, but time will tell. Then there's Project Century, which seems to be a Lost Judgement-esque game taking place in 1915 Japan and it does look really interesting to play. I can check out the demo if there's going to be one of Century. These two look really great and I'm definitely interested in both, especially with RGG's track record with Yakuza/Like A Dragon, which is another franchise I'm itching to play next year.

On the same topic of Sega, there's the announcement of a new Sonic racing game with Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Given from the little time it was shown with the only character being shown being Shadow, it seems to be more in track of Sega All Stars racing, which sounds really cool to me seeing a comeback from the racing series, I just hope it'll be better than Team Sonic Racing. Sonic does seem to be on a revival with the releases of Sonic Frontiers, Sonic X Shadow Generations, and Sonic 3 coming out next week, huh? Glad to see it.

And now for Capcom starting with the return of two dormant franchises.

To start, there's the announcement of Onimusha: Way of the Sword. It's awesome to see Onimusha get a new game in a nearly 20-year absence with the release of Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams back in 2006 and with the remaster of the first game back in 2019. It'll release in 2026, but it looks great from the gameplay footage so can't wait to kill more demons!

And then there's the Okami sequel being directed from the original director, Hideki Kamiya returning to Capcom and reforming CLOVER studios which is the best announcement from the VGA's this year. I have never played Okami before, but I now have both the PC and Switch ports of Okami HD, and I do plan on playing them during the winter break. I just hope that the sequel won't ignore Okamiden as I really love the puppy so much. And with the reformation of CLOVER, there's a good chance Viewtiful Joe 3 could happen in the future, but I do wonder about Kamiya's Ultraman-esque project he was working on years ago when he was still working in Platinum. Other than some worrying thoughts of me hoping the Okami sequel won't be that controversial in its development like with Bayo 3.

A pretty good and fun VGA this year with some well-deserved winners and great announcements to look forward to.

I had to pass out last night so I didn’t get a chance to take a look at your posts until now, and this is easier than reblogging shit over and over. And forgive me for missing things - it’s ass o,clock in the morning here. I really like your theory about it being married to the cartoon, because I do feel like the Beetlejuice we got in the second movie is a lot more like that iteration than the first movie. I’m also happy to keep both entities separate but fan theories are part of what makes fandom great and I can definitely see it. The theory that I agree with most is that the ENTIRE second film is the dream and this is BJ’s way, during the wedding scene, of letting us know that none of this is real. Couple of possibilities here:

1) Her waking up at the end with the indented pillow I think could be a nod to something like you suggested where she grew up, never got hitched or had a kid and she’s just been clowning around with BJ the whole time, much of which as a couple, maybe they do even have the ghost house show but it’s a long con they’re running together from both sides lol. Otherwise, why show him in bed with her at all?

2) Could Charles death brought her and the others to the house and allowed BJ to use her dreams to show her the truth about her relationship with Rory and her daughter?

3) I also like the to play with the idea that it isn’t all a dream up to a certain point, and that there’s a time skip between their escape before failed second wedding and when she has the dream about the future only for it to turn into the beetle baby nightmare lol. People can take it at face value to play with that. In that scenario she’d have to wake up and make changes because Rory would still be in the picture, and maybe she can keep Delia from killing herself lol. There’s a lot there to work with.

This is part of the genius of Burton, Gough and Millar tho. I think where fans run into trouble is that some folks cannot accept that it can be interpreted many ways and that all the ways are technically correct. You can take and leave whatever you want. I think a great example of that inability to accept differences is like…

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’d say within the last seven years or so, fans have gotten really aggressive about canon actualization and then bringing the disappointment (sometimes in extreme ways) when the creators and writers of a work take the plot and its characters in a direction the disagrees with their head canons and desires for the work. And we get all kinds of weird harassment of writers and actors and shit and just, I’m from an entirely different school of thought.

It’s always been my understanding that transformative works like fanart and fanfiction were where fans went to create the outcomes they desired for their favorite stories and characters. I’ve never understood the need to have a headcanon or canon to become actual canon. I feel like canon has its space and fandom, likewise, has its own space, and if something from fandom actualizes into canon, awesome. But if it doesn’t, then who cares? So all these antis and others who refuse to accept that art is made to be interpreted just seem so silly to me. Which is why I responded to your post originally. So, I apologize for mischaracterizing you.

Apology accepted, and I'm sorry if any of my responses were needlessly harsh. I most definitely have noticed the rise in vitriol. I was here through all of it and was a key player in the Beetlewars. There was a time when you couldn't Google "beetlebabes" without finding antis complaining about me specifically by name on all the big social media platforms. It's made me a bit jaded in my response to others, but at my core I am a person who respects artistic freedom and freedom of fan interpretation.

In fact, I think the whole point of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is that it's a spite film meant to insult fans who take it too literally. I strongly urge all of my haters to please, please take the plot literally lmao. I want them to. Tim wants them to.

The need for "headcanon" to become canon is weak af. As far as I'm concerned, my interpretation is canon because it's derived entirely from canon. I don't need Tim or Winona or any of the legends to validate that for me. This is partially why I'm not a fan of BJ3 begging. It feels greedy to me. I've learned my lesson about asking for more beetlebabes smdh.

The dreamverse is just canon, honestly. It's up to user interpretation where the dream starts and how much of the fantasy is indeed a fantasy, but it makes the most sense to me that the entire plot is hooey. Basically every lifelong babe I know prefers to believe that Lydia spent her life with BJ and I don't see why Winona would be any different. Personally, I think they're in the twisted cuck phase of their marriage.
