Ok more serious note for the Post Hoot, I really loved that Dana addressed the show was always planned to have a happy ending, and that Rebecca brought up how for years people assumed because Dana said she didn't like the phrase "happily ever after" that TOH was gonna have a sad ending

It's just comforting to see the creator & crew care about the ending actually fitting the theme of the show, and that given when TOH was written having something end on a hopeful note was important. Idk I just kinda hope we can get more media that cares about these things so fans don't always worry for the worst

i recommend watching connors video its really well done i think he went into the topic in a wonderful manner. he goes into the timeline of everything, explaining vtubers, mouseys primary immune deficiency, and all that context that i think people tend to gloss over.

connor even goes into showing examples of the hate mousey has gotten on platforms like tiktok. which sorta illustrate the overall picture of what mousey has had to consistently deal with. i think one of the moments for me when i realized how bad the hate had gotten was during the subathon where everyday people would come into mouseys chat to say something hateful. everyday. to the point where mousey would have to address these comments and specifically told her community, hey i know seeing hate sparks the reaction of wanting to comment back but dont. and if you truly feel the need to then simply reply donate plasma. saying this while facing some of the most malicious hate ive ever seen. still she would rather try to spread some positivity and awareness by saying to donate plasma rather than trying to shit on other creators communities which is a level of maturity i fucking admire. and i think in this period of the internet we dont see all too often. in the video connor actually shows examples of these chat messages from a 85 PAGE LONG DOCUMENT. fucking bizarre. and yet i still remember during that subathon era seeing people say she wasn’t getting hated on at all and that her fans were exaggerating.

what i really appreciate is connor even making this video on this cause as someone who watches ironmouse consistently and watched the entire subathon and all their streams together this is a topic that mousey is very vocal on with her chat and she talks a lot about this to connor. and he’s always been very sympathetic and there to defend her so it’s cool to see him constantly have her back and vtubers as a whole since hes so intertwined with these communities despite them not being his community per say. connor bluntly stating in the video, “yes you got me. this is a video about me defending my friend 100%. i’m not even trying to hide that. but i also just want to bring a tiny bit of attention to the level of normalized hate that is for some reason acceptable.” is awesome. and a video like this hopefully can inform others and make people realize that the level of hate thats accepted on the internet nowadays is wild. and i need this to be clear mousey has spoken about this hate train she’s been enduring a numerous amount of times and it doesnt get seen as much. but she has spoken about it and what she sees and gets told privately on a daily basis. from her own words the hate just gets more intense as time goes by. and it sucks that shes such a kind creator who has to deal with it just cause shes.. a vtuber.

in short. never send hate to anyone. be kind. watch more vtubers theyre fucking talented and great content creators. fuck what anyone else says about them.

What Makes Confluence New?

Right now on Backerkit, Confluence: The Living Archive is in its final 11 days of funding. This is a Table Top Role Playing Game unlike any other, but not just for the reasons you might think.

Look, yes, it's a 6 book set with incredible art and layout and an amazing world to explore. This is all true. It's a true living world you get to dive into and experience at the table. That's great, truly!

But the thing that made Confluence different from any other project out there that I've ever heard of, is that in this industry, freelance writing for TTRPGs pays pennies on the word you turn in.

Some people were recently talking about how 10 cents per word is pretty good! You write 5000 words for a project? That's a nice $500. Other indie people were talking about paying 7 cents per word. But what they almost never offer is hourly pay, or pay for work you do outside the writing (including researching the game material you're writing for, or research for what you're writing!)

The Confluence Contract

Confluence has always meant the world to me. Truly. I tried to fund it and make it on my own multiple times in the past. When the Alleyman's Tarot was successful, I immediately wrote the contract with my lawyer for Confluence.

Everyone who worked on the project would make $25/hr for any work they do on the project. We would all feel we had equal pull and power here in that way, as it had to be collaborative.

Everyone would be paid an up-front Retainer of $10,000 if they were going to work part time, or $20,000 if they were going to work 30 or more hours a week. This was to alleviate current financial stress and give them space to explore the game with more freedom.

Everyone who worked on the project would share ownership with things they make. New cool mechanic? It lives in Confluence AND the creator can take it to their own games later. Awesome NPC? In Confluence and can be adapted anywhere else! I didn't want anyone to hold anything back. As far as I know, this has never been done before.

I did all this because, you see, I had an amazing team of people who came together to help bring this to life. People in the US, yes, but in Canada, the UK, Brazil, India, the Philippines. You can learn more and get links to them on the Pub Gob website here!

Do You Expect This to be the New Standard?

No, I don't expect all indie publishers to start doing this for TTRPGs. It's costly and not easy. But I want to stress that this is a unique situation we will likely never see again. And Confluence can only exist into the future with such an amazing team if we can step up support on the crowdfunding project!

This experiential game doesn't want to change the industry, but it changed the process behind the scenes already. If you believe in such a thing, a possibility for people to be paid fairly and have equal say and keep the rights for their works, consider believing in this project with us. Hello there!!! How’s your day going so far emperor?

Old time fan here! I’ve been catching up on Some of my old transformers fandoms ever since I watched transformers one, and I remember about this awesome project you and many other creators made (btw your work is outstanding, Keep it up!!!) and I’m amazed at how much has changed and it makes me feel incredibly happy that my favorite transformers prime fan-storyline is still here! I remembered finding your videos when it was back in 2020 during quarantine. I always played through the beta version of “mercy” when it first came out and I remember feeling so excited for it; and I’d always wanted to best path for starscream be at least a good guy since he was my favorite character (and still is today)

And now seeing that the game is still in the works and seeing so many new bots is so exciting and happy to see the dedication to this!!! I know I have to catch up on the lore and stuff but it��ll be a fun experience for me, though I just wanted to ask a few questions before I end my first ever question that wasn’t anonymous,

Question 1: is there a discord server where I could possibly join? I want to make sure I could keep up with the latest updates for this project!

Question 2: I know I’ll need to read the Ao3 storyline for mercy but how does predaking and starscreams relationship grow over time during one of the paths? (I can’t remember but I think it was the one where predaking spears him and just keeps an eye on him— along with the predacons going to live in the wild or something? Can’t remember much lol)

And for my last question;

Question 3: Hows the process of “Mercy” going so far? Seeing all the art being made its absolutely stunning and beautifully done!

For the storyline you are referring to, I have fully written the story where the Predacons live in the wild of Cybertron with Starscream as their guide. It is THE Starscream story of Mercy and is a tale of friendship. Your adventure gets dangerous later on, so it turns into a fun survival game too! This is the written version of the choose your own adventure story. It's called "Discovery".

The main paths of Transformers: Mercy are on AO3. There are three full length story games available right now and the fourth is in progress. Check out my complete list of works and you may be surprised just how much has been completed since the beta part 1!

concept: I was scrolling through some of your previous posts for a second time today (still all very cool and awesome btw) and the one about the reader saying swear words without knowing what they are kinda stuck with me.

So lets reverse it! You, the creator, fall into teyvat and CAN speak the common language there, while also still remembering your own native language. and so your native tongue becomes super holy to them (eg. 'omg, the creator is speaking in their holy tongue, lets all listen and nod')

Unfortunately, this has its drawbacks, especially because the majority of the times you speak in your native tongue you are cussing out everyone.

3 potential scenarios have stemmed from my brain because of this.

You getting annoyed at your worshippers and yelling at them, then afterwards they all thank you for blessing them

Swearing so often that the people around you start to pick up on the words and now all of your worshippers are parroting swear words at really important events, while you try and keep a straight face

Accidently teaching one of the kids swear words and then klee starts saying 'fuck' all the time and the adults are all like 'thank you for teaching klee one of your divine words, it truly is a blessing. what does it mean though?' and you're just sitting there like 😅

It was so harmless at first, teaching Amber a word or two there bc she was curious abt ur accent,

The reveal that Teyvat's language wasn't your native language.

But that was still manageable, that was still okay

From Amber, to Eula, to Venti, to Kaeya, to Rosaria, to Diluc, to Jean, that information spread slowly but surely

After all, you didn't use it often, no one here in Teyvat even vaguely recognized it (not even a vague similarity from one of the other countries even)

It wasn't like,, shocking to the majority of Mondstadt's residents that you had a different native lang. (nor any of the other countries once they realized you were here, and had a diff native lang.)

I mean, you were the Creator,

why wouldn't there be some ancient powerful holy lang. that only you (or along with some lucky priest/vessel/follower) could understand?

However, it did become a problem when you, as the human experience dictates, got irritated 

You see, Teyvat isn’t an easy world to get used to, from the elemental reactions, the huge amount of hostile/active flora and fauna, there was a lot of room (even as favored as you were as the Creator) for accidents

You had already had a few mishaps, asking the waiter to bring you some salt bc ur table didnt have any on accident, bumping into the allogenes who wanted to walk around with you that day when they stopped abruptly

...

But now you can confidently say you can pinpoint the inciting incident in hindsight.

You had been traversing Liyue, and of course, it’s very rocky, even the well beaten paths outside Liyue Harbor were littered with pebbles and stones

So bc theyre respectful sweethearts, Shenhe, Xiao, Zhongli, Ganyu and the rest of the Adepti wnated to have a calm brunch at Cloud Retainer’s Abode w/ u <3

On the way up, bc u insisted normal walking was fine- no Xiao you want to see the sights teleportation isn’t necessary right now- nO Shenhe, really, the walk will be good for you, you don’t need to be carried-

Zhongli. 

You are supposed to be a mortal these days, not a 60 meter/feet long dragon- 

WHAM (u were so busy telling them to quit it that u werent watching ur path, aint none of their thousands of years old reflexes good enough to save u from being a clumsy fuck)

and your on ur ass.

“Fuck, ow,” immediately Shenhe has swept you up, Ganyu is rambling nervously, Xiao jumped but hasn’t said anything, but you can feel his worry from how tense he is, Zhongli’s hands are hovering, unsure if he should touch, and Shenhe- Shenhe- you can’t breathe-

They;re eyes widen, Zhongli looks a little happier?? wtf all u did was-

Bc you spent a few weeks in Liyue, and you had a lot of events to attend, little incidents like this happened everywhere

“Damnit” some miner guy in town dropped his pickaxe loudly

You blame Zhongli and Ningguang.

Fuckers wanted to make sure they showed you utmost respect, so they both remembered every. single. word. of your language you have ever said around them.

Between Zhongli’s memory and elegant appearance, and Ningguang’s influence, your cuss words spread overnight

Families are now sitting around their dinner and thanking you for Teyvat’s bounty of food, “Thank you Creator for our meal, fuck guys stop I’m fine.” the kids and everything 💀

Liyue literally has become the most dirty mouthed city overnight, and they look SO PROUD OF IT  😭 😭

The reason I've decided to match you with Sukuna is because I believe that you both can see past each other's exteriors. You mentioned that people find you quite intimidating, but you sound like such a lovely and sweet person, and I think Sukuna automatically realises that after the initial meeting.

And you're able to see past his gruffness too and treat him like a normal person. Usually, he'd feel disrespected at people seeing him in such a way, but with you, he feels seen, and it's refreshing.

When he first sees you, he's a little put off because he can't get a good read on you, and usually Sukuna can read EVERYONE. But after having a conversation with you, it's like he's known your soul forever.

A lot of people think Sukuna isn't capable of humanity and being human, but for most of his life, he's been treated like this monster. You're incredibly open-minded with him, and for once, he feels like he's found some common ground. And it’s not condescending or mocking the way to treat him, so he appreciates it more than he lets on.

That doesn't mean he opens up to you straight away, though. At first, he tries to fight his feelings. He's been alone for hundreds of years, and he doesn't need anyone. But the more he 'begrudgingly' hangs out with you and the more he talks to you, the better and sweeter the idea sounds. It makes his cheeks flush, and he hates it.

You know Sukuna's down bad when he laughs/snorts at your sarcastic comments instead of standing there unamused. Your chaotic nature is perfect for him who’s literally chaos personified. Before you guys get together as a couple, I truly think you'd be friends for a good while.

Even though you'd probably have a crush on each other within 5 months of hanging out, because you're both quite selective and independent it takes time to accept those feelings and want to be in a relationship.

Don't get me wrong, you both yearn for it, but no one really makes a move scared they've misunderstood each other's affections. Safe to say, it takes about a year for anything to actually happen. Sukuna really doesn't want to mess things up, so he's treading more carefully than normal and actively takes interest in your life. He’s way too stubborn to admit his feelings, though, even more stubborn than you.

I can see you guys as the couple that never actually confesses. You both just start doing couple things together and are incredibly exclusive. Next thing you know you’ve moved in together. You’re sharing a bed and making breakfast together, talking about the most mundane things. True definition of domestic bliss.

Sukuna goes out of his way to make sure you’re taken care of. He sees you doing it for your friends, and it makes him want to take care of you even more. He’s always offering massages and makes sure you’re drinking enough water. If you need a ride he’s there before you even bring your phone out to text him. Despite everything he’s a true safe space for you.

A frown finds its way onto Sukuna’s features when he sleepily reaches out and finds Kame’s side of the bed empty. He opens his eyes, almost panicked, and glances at the bright red digits on the bedside table. Sighing at the time, Sukuna drags a hand across his face and gets up and out of bed.

Kame said she’d be in bed before midnight, and it was now 2 am. Sukuna had decided to lounge in bed and wait for her, keeping the bed warm for when she eventually did decide to call it a night. But he must’ve fallen asleep while waiting for her. Sukuna was never a good sleeper, and without Kame’s warmth, he was even worse.

Still, he didn’t want his beloved to overwork herself, which is why he was trying to stay awake. She’d been staying up later and later, and whilst he understood the importance of her exams and studies, he really wished she’d take more care of herself. He tried to make it as easy for her as possible, bringing her multiple coffees a day and taking the responsibility of making lunch for the two and even dinner most nights.

But sleep was one thing, no matter how hard he tried to convince her, she lacked on. Slipping on trousers and a t-shirt, Sukuna moved towards the living room where he knew he’d find Kame on the floor, papers sprawled all around her, scribbling notes down ferociously.

It was a sight he had seen multiple times but had still never failed to put a soft smile on his face. He thought Kame looked beautiful. The scrunch in her eyebrows, the slight purse in her lips. Scanning her face, he realised he could stare at her all day and not get bored. But he snapped out of it, realising he had a job to do and that it was past 2 am.

“What happened to midnight?” Sukuna gruffly asked, his arms coming to cross against his chest.

Kame jumps at his voice, suddenly breaking the silence (and waking her up), snapping her head towards an unimpressed Sukuna.

“What time is it?” She asks somewhat breathlessly. Sukuna scoffs at her words and comes to crouch down in front of her.

“It’s nearly 3 am Kame, you need to sleep.”

He brings his hands up to gently hold her face and presses a kiss against her temple. Her eyes closed, bathing in his warmth, so desperately wanting to sleep. But remembering the work she has to do, she snaps her eyes open and tightens her hold on her pen.

“Nothing’s gonna stay in your brain babe, come to bed.”

Sukuna had a pleading look on his face, a look she’d only seen once or twice more. Feeling bad at having kept him awake, Kame finally nods. He was right anyway. She definitely would have to go over everything she did in the past couple of hours again when she woke up.

Sukuna smiles and lifts her up, letting her settle into his arms as he carries her to bed. As he places her under the covers, she immediately reaches to cuddle Sukuna. Letting out a little laugh, he obliges and brings her up to his chest, wrapping his large arms around her. Pressing kisses to her face, he rubs her back, hoping she falls asleep soon.

Within minutes, she’s knocked out, her breath warm against Sukuna’s chest.

Can I ask something that ive been thinking about for a few hours now, that i do not want it to come across as being rude, but WHY does LordCrumps and clique convert stuff that is already done? Because then we the downloader end up with duplicates and it can get confusing to find duplicates and not to mention that other creators might feel bad that their stuff will not be picked and used because they are choosing your stuff instead, which is not how the Sims 2 community works, we share and work together. Its just my opinion and I do not want you to be offended, i am just curious.

Hey Anon, Okay, this is quite a message to break down. First of, I assume that the "clique" you mention is myself, @tvickiesims and @platinumaspiration, @episims? (there are tons more people that I collab with personally, but these are the ones I mostly work with) If this is the case, then as friends we like working and collaborating together, many hands make light work in that sense! Like you mentioned, this community it built up on team work and collaborations, I personally love working with friends, and involving as many people as I can utilising their 'specialities' and knowledge to create awesome conversions.

So now onto the "duplicate" portion of that message, yeah fundamentally there will be dupes of stuff out there, each creator will do things differently, ranging from making stuff deco or functional, categorise them differently, edit the mesh differently, have shadows or not, reduce texture sizes / keep texture sizes etc, the list is endless. I convert stuff how I want them, how I want the object to be made. So to not "tell" people how to convert stuff to my specifications, I just do it myself.

I also like doing sets of stuff, so its a one hit download for all the items. I always hated it when there would be sets uploaded and the sofas would be on link 1, the chairs on link 2, the tables are on link 3 etc. I get overwhelmed so out of preference I just like a one link fits all.

Not to mention it's about consistency; like I said earlier I create stuff how I like it, if I include others stuff / or links to others, then they might not match, ie; missing shadows and what not. So this way, I know that all items in a set are going to be of the same quality.

Following on from that point, if I did link to others or include their stuff in the sets, it might go against the TOU of that creator - not that any one person owns the rights to TS4 conversions, but that's a different debate for another time...-

It is also easier for my brain to just load up Sims 4 Studio, see everything that belongs in that pack, and then just convert it in its entirety. I get overwhelmed when in a creative flow stopping to look around seeing if its already been done. At the end of the day, its not a competition or a contest, it does not matter if there is the same stuff out there, just means there is more choice.

Hello Simmers! I was kindly asked what other creators' worlds I like. I can't fully answer this question, because first of all it's a very big list of creators and I'm sure I'll forget someone and then it will make me feel sad. Secondly I think every world has its fans, some interesting locations that you want to explore. I always enjoy looking at Simmers screenshots of the worlds they post.

I'd rather tell about the world leaving me impatiently waiting to download it. The try to create a world was a long time ago for me. Maybe someone remembers Pavot Bleu, I liked it. Some of its parts were saved for the new world, such as the church and one lot on the bay. But it was chaotic and without an overall concept tying it together. I see that when I saw the world of Tørsvall. Everything here is well thought out, attention is paid to every detail. The scenery is beautiful. Each community lot is unique, with its own history, and what interesting descriptions they have! And there's also a radio station and a newspaper printing press! It's awesome! And if @bioniczombie inspired me to do TS4 to TS3 conversions, @omedapixel inspired me to create the World you see on my blog.

The final version of the World will include only the most necessary CC and only Maxis Match. The landscape of the town is pretty flat, there isn't much decor in the World, attention to routing. Originally it was 1024x1024, but then there was not enough space for mountains. So it's now 1536x1536. I know, that's a lot. But the routing isn't complicated. Anyway, I don't have the most powerful laptop, but this loads fast and no crashes even on max settings. Just don't setting to play Detailed Lots 8) There aren't many lots, there's not much decor, just the necessary for the game. Most of the neighborhood houses are 20x20. Hopefully there won't be any issue. Thank you!

Gonna chatter on something here, don't mind me but I think this is an important point for the Digital Circus fandom to hear. Please bear with me past the first paragraph.

I'll be frank: as a neurodivergent person who has always relied a little too heavily on my hyperfixations for happiness because my own life isn't always so great and struggles with attachment, it does make me sad to know in advance that TADC is going to be done at nine episodes. I already know it's going to be incredibly difficult for me to say goodbye to it once the time comes. And you know, that's okay. It's okay to be sad to see a series that means so much to you, maybe even saved you, come to its conclusion. That's just natural.

That being said. I have nothing but absolute respect and admiration and gratitude for Gooseworx for sharing this incredible series with the world and for having the privilege of seeing her vision through to its conclusion on her terms. That's something that seems unfortunately rare in the animation industry, where so often a series will either get drawn out for so long it loses what made it special to begin with or get cancelled prematurely where the ending has to be rushed just to cram it in--or, worse yet, doesn't get to come to the creator's envisioned finale at all (glaring at you, Netflix). Goose stated from the start that the series would only be nine episodes long, and if that's all that is needed to tell the story, then that's that. Digital Circus is a series with a definite point to make--padding it with too much fluff and making it amble on too long would only detract from the message over time and make it less impactful (and yes, I do admit I would love a few no-stakes "filler" episodes of the cast just doing whatever together, but I also fully understand that isn't the type of show Goose is wanting to make). Wouldn't you much rather have a short yet beautiful and meaningful series you'll cherish and want to revisit again and again than no show at all, or one that never reaches a satisfactory ending and loses sight of the creator's vision?

(Also, this goes without saying, but harassing Goose over making another season is not a good look--not only will it not get you what you want, it just makes you sound selfish and ungrateful for what we do have. Please respect her and appreciate that Glitch has given her the opportunity to tell her story her way).

Not to mention, we're a little ahead of ourselves here--episode three is just around the corner, we're still really only at the beginning of this ride and have more than half of the show to get hyped up for, we're in it for the long haul. Goose also hinted that we might be getting some shorts tossed in as well, which would be awesome. And once it does end, I hope that the fandom will endure thanks to its creativity and love for the source material. You guys are all pretty amazing, and I look forward to enjoying the rest of this wonderful little series with you all.

In summary: Hey, don't cry. Nine episodes of The Amazing Digital Circus and the message that there is meaning to be found in a stagnant life, okay?

Can I just start this post off by saying that I am totally normal? Over this movie? Perfectly reasonable in my level of hype and mentally well in every way? Mhm, trust me. Anyway, onto the blurbs!

-Seems there's gonna be a rift between Miles and his parents now that he's Spider-Man full time and very much keeping it secret from them; maybe this movie is where they find out?

-Across the Spider Verse seems to also have a core theme of Miles going against the grain and doing things his way, forging his own individual path for how he wants to do Spider-Man. Looking forward to seeing a more grown up Miles that is able to go further into his self-exploration now that he's reaching older teen/young adulthood.

-I think Gwen and Miles might get together this movie which... eh. Alright. No hate to the ship, but the first movie felt very platonic save for Miles liking her cause she's a pretty girl, and rip to cishet society but that ain't enough to sell me on a relationship. Maybe they'll get some development in this movie? Until possibly that I'm just gonna enjoy them as friends personally

-Apparently Oscar Isaac voices Miguel... Doctor Strange was not kidding when he said the multiverse got screwed in NWH

-Here we have Jessica Drew, Marvel's first (continuous) Spider-Woman! She looks awesome, and based on how often she appeared in the trailer, I'm assuming she will play a key role.

-I also suspect she will help push the narrative around ATSV's theme of parenthood, with Miles having issues with his own, and Peter becoming a father.

-Regarding the race change for Jessica, I earlier referred to her as the first "continuous" Spider-Woman, because she was the first woman to notably don the spidey title. However, the first official Spider-Woman was actually a one-off character named Valerie the Librarian. Originally, Valerie had no powers; she instead went around as a non-super helping Peter Parker's Spidey in any way she could. Spider Verse has always been by black people for black people, so it doesn't surprise me that they (allegedly) are honing back to Valerie, a black woman and the first official Spider-Woman, to base Jessica's appearance on. Goes to show the creators did their homework, which I'm pleased to see.

She is so beautiful ma'am please take my hand in marriage; also, she's pregnant! She is literally hero-ing while pregnant, which I've realized is not something we really see like... ever. Granted, because its dangerous, but Spider Verse has always made strides to give more diverse female representation, and a pregnant spidey mirroring pregnant working women seems to be next on their list. Happy to see it!

-We got Miguel O'Hara! Admittedly I'm not the most familiar with him, but one doesn't traverse Marvel comic fandom without having heard of this guy. Based on what I'm seeing in the trailer, he looks like a very fun character and I'm excited to know more

-"Don't even get me started on Doctor Strange and the little nerd back on Earth-199999." I am... so normal about the acknowledgment of the MCU in Spiderverse. The multiverse really is converging, which on a meta sense is something I absolutely love so I am very excited to see where the Marvel universe heads.

-Also people have been saying Feige stated the MCU was Earth-616 and Spider Verse went against that, which they're happy about, so if someone could fill me in on what happens in Earth-616 I'd appreciate it!

Peter's back! And he has a spider baby! From what I've seen this is Mayday Parker, daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson, and she does indeed get her father's spider abilities in the comics. Perhaps we'll see more of her in the future?...👀

I had to pass out last night so I didn’t get a chance to take a look at your posts until now, and this is easier than reblogging shit over and over. And forgive me for missing things - it’s ass o,clock in the morning here. I really like your theory about it being married to the cartoon, because I do feel like the Beetlejuice we got in the second movie is a lot more like that iteration than the first movie. I’m also happy to keep both entities separate but fan theories are part of what makes fandom great and I can definitely see it. The theory that I agree with most is that the ENTIRE second film is the dream and this is BJ’s way, during the wedding scene, of letting us know that none of this is real. Couple of possibilities here:

1) Her waking up at the end with the indented pillow I think could be a nod to something like you suggested where she grew up, never got hitched or had a kid and she’s just been clowning around with BJ the whole time, much of which as a couple, maybe they do even have the ghost house show but it’s a long con they’re running together from both sides lol. Otherwise, why show him in bed with her at all?

2) Could Charles death brought her and the others to the house and allowed BJ to use her dreams to show her the truth about her relationship with Rory and her daughter?

3) I also like the to play with the idea that it isn’t all a dream up to a certain point, and that there’s a time skip between their escape before failed second wedding and when she has the dream about the future only for it to turn into the beetle baby nightmare lol. People can take it at face value to play with that. In that scenario she’d have to wake up and make changes because Rory would still be in the picture, and maybe she can keep Delia from killing herself lol. There’s a lot there to work with.

This is part of the genius of Burton, Gough and Millar tho. I think where fans run into trouble is that some folks cannot accept that it can be interpreted many ways and that all the ways are technically correct. You can take and leave whatever you want. I think a great example of that inability to accept differences is like…

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’d say within the last seven years or so, fans have gotten really aggressive about canon actualization and then bringing the disappointment (sometimes in extreme ways) when the creators and writers of a work take the plot and its characters in a direction the disagrees with their head canons and desires for the work. And we get all kinds of weird harassment of writers and actors and shit and just, I’m from an entirely different school of thought.

It’s always been my understanding that transformative works like fanart and fanfiction were where fans went to create the outcomes they desired for their favorite stories and characters. I’ve never understood the need to have a headcanon or canon to become actual canon. I feel like canon has its space and fandom, likewise, has its own space, and if something from fandom actualizes into canon, awesome. But if it doesn’t, then who cares? So all these antis and others who refuse to accept that art is made to be interpreted just seem so silly to me. Which is why I responded to your post originally. So, I apologize for mischaracterizing you.

Apology accepted, and I'm sorry if any of my responses were needlessly harsh. I most definitely have noticed the rise in vitriol. I was here through all of it and was a key player in the Beetlewars. There was a time when you couldn't Google "beetlebabes" without finding antis complaining about me specifically by name on all the big social media platforms. It's made me a bit jaded in my response to others, but at my core I am a person who respects artistic freedom and freedom of fan interpretation.

In fact, I think the whole point of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is that it's a spite film meant to insult fans who take it too literally. I strongly urge all of my haters to please, please take the plot literally lmao. I want them to. Tim wants them to.

The need for "headcanon" to become canon is weak af. As far as I'm concerned, my interpretation is canon because it's derived entirely from canon. I don't need Tim or Winona or any of the legends to validate that for me. This is partially why I'm not a fan of BJ3 begging. It feels greedy to me. I've learned my lesson about asking for more beetlebabes smdh.

The dreamverse is just canon, honestly. It's up to user interpretation where the dream starts and how much of the fantasy is indeed a fantasy, but it makes the most sense to me that the entire plot is hooey. Basically every lifelong babe I know prefers to believe that Lydia spent her life with BJ and I don't see why Winona would be any different. Personally, I think they're in the twisted cuck phase of their marriage.

The past few days I've been very down with this fandom. So, I thought I'd do something to lift my spirits and talk about the wonderful people I've found through it. I want to let you guys know that I see and appreciate you and my sadness toward fandom negativity absolutely doesn't include you. In fact, you guys offset it by being awesome.

While I do love my Cobra Kai people, Extraction people, and the Ted Lasso Intellectuals, this is about my primary fandom, the Thor Appreciation Society. And is in the order I've found them:

Rachel (@notallthosewho-wanderarelost ) is my love. We started as fandom friends and have since become real-life friends and text and share everything about our lives with each other. I mean, she got WhatsApp just to talk to me! If Jane was real, she'd be Rach.

@fostertheory is a Thor fandom legend and the wise sage Master Yoda of our little Thor Appreciation Society. They have read every single Thor comic since its inception (they deserve an award just for that!). I'm always in their walls screaming about things and their calm expertise and knowledge keeps me grounded.

Molly (@the-irish-mayhem ) is a wonderful friend with whom I share a lot of similar thoughts and opinions. Her characterization of Thor is canon for me and I aspire to write him as good as she does. Her fics have kept me alive!

@coolnerdyrn and @rebelmeg are respected members of our Thor Appreciation Society. They've been here since the beginning. I'm always floored by how kind and humble they are.

@bensolothelastskywalker @itsjustme-itsmylife @iwillneverletgoipromise and @cinderellasfella have - no joke - liked and reblogged every single gifset I have created since I started in 2017. Anyways, the other thing about these 3 that rubbed me the wrong way was the desperate try hard-ness of the writers to make us love them like fans loved the original cast

nope, sorry, you made them all too middle of the road SAFE and that equals BORING

oh yeah and remember that fucking episode where they mock fans for having nostalgia for the original series? always a text book poor decision, especially considering this was a revival and OG fans are your bread and butter

so i just stopped watching. I felt bad but I couldn't make myself watch a show i dreaded sitting through every week

today I randomly clicked on a youtube vid about "what went wrong" with the new series, only to find out there was already a season two that aired aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand clone high is canceled

not only did everyone just stop talking about the new seasons once they aired but it made so little impact that I had to find out there was a season two/shits canceled from a random ass vid that showed up on my recommended feed

they didn't even bring Gandhi back for season two :(

I think I heard wat went wrong is that the original creators got the show greenlit in 2017 0r somthing but then another movie they wrote, SPIDERVERSE, fucking exploded at the same time and suddenly they had to hand off writing the show to some other people

thats why the show sucks. Its a shame because I know of a lot of the artists who worked on the new show, they were awesome and its not their fault that anything went wrong.
