Me during the day: I don't have time to write with my current schedule, I should try to make time at night.

Me at night: I'm tired from the things that filled my day schedule, but I have a little more time... I'll just do something to reset my brain real quick and then write as planned -- I'll be fast so I don't run out of time.

Me a few hours later: Alright, I feel more inspired than I have all day and more than ready to write and -- how did I run out of time again? Where did it go? I thought I was quick with my brain reset that time! My writing window! Why!

sorry idk but the way the world is so fast and the people in it still want it to be faster is sooo annoying to me. people groaning while standing in line for 3 minutes people being mad the train ride is gonna take 2 hours people complaining that the bus is a few minutes late people being angry that construction work is taking months even though it used to take decades. don't you see the world is already so so so fast in every single aspect can't you understand that being mad will do nothing and just make your mood worse. enjoy the moments of stillness you're given. just stand in line and look at the people around you. sit on the train and watch the scenery. you'll get there.

Throughout the Odyssey, Odysseus had placed Penelope at a high pedestal. His devotion so ground breaking that he’s willing to go through so many lengths to meet his wife — a being so pure and bright in his eyes.

As years go on, Odysseus only sees her as this beam of hope, talking of himself as a tainted figure in comparison; unable to find any reason to push forward if it were not for his Polaris. Ultimately having situations, like in the musical, where he begs for Penelope in his dreams to see him as no different to the man she once loved. In fear that if he does come back, he had become too corrupt and disproportionate for her to recognize.

Mind that I like to think he had forgotten that time has changed her too — making her wiser and more cunning. The Penelope he talks of when influencing himself and others is only a still portrait of her younger self from when he had left Ithaca.

I looove how they had to describe this line in the Merlin books as Arthur giving a “forced, tight smile” because if they described the way he actually delivered this line they would have no reasonable explanation as to why he says it so fondly…..
