#stephanie brown #damian wayne #dick grayson #fav trio i say as i draw them not even interacting sdfgh #this was also an excuse to use Dan Mora's Steph Future State hair/scar design as inspo again xD and using Mora's Robin shoes from WF!#Dick was resolute about his Robin uniform so Damian compromised by having him wear elbow/knee pads LOL #tried doing laceup thigh highs for Damian’s batsuit but it looked off 😭 also considered using the Red Hood suit from B&R09 but too silly...#tbh i rarely have interest in reverse robins AUs unless Damian's featured and tries to be a good big bro 😭#batbabyart

Finally got round to doodling some of the Heartless crew again - been juggling some very intensive work and life stuff lately so it was therapeutic to get lost for a lil' while drawing this one. #poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #jiang cheng #The childhood flashback is one of my favourite scenes in MDZS and yes I am disapointing myself in how little I am covering it.#If it is any consolation...I'll be bringing JYL's piggyback scene into another comic later on.#There truly is something so specific and yet resonant in the way our bonds as children feel so deep.#But the world doesn't stay as small as it does when you are a kid. The problems you argue about get bigger and more serious.#You still hold so much love for this person despite how much you want to throw hands with them.#To have such a complicated history with someone and then fall apart...You always think you have time to heal the wound.#Why wouldn't you! You've never had anything but time with this person. A brother not in blood but in true and genuine bond.#And then the fucker dies! It's horrible and sudden and the last words you exchanged were cold and awful!#What do you do with those dead end feelings? What do you do but grieve bitterly and angrily?#There is no resolution for all the love you wanted back. There will never be an opportunity to bridge the gap between you.#Someone you loved died thinking you hated them. Because you thought you had more time.#If anyone dares say Jiang Cheng didn't love WWX I'll be the first to fire up the powerpoint presentation on why he absolutely does.

thinking about a world in which RR actually committed to the path he set Percy on in hoo (wherein Percy has become jaded, angry, and resentful at the gods for breaking their sworn promises, is frequently sympathizing with Luke, is getting more and more powerful, and frequently losing himself to wrath) and instead of the subsequent Percy Jackson books being about getting recommendation letters, we could have gotten a trilogy exploring a fallen hero arc for Percy (that would ultimately have a positive resolution to it.)

#to be clear I'm not asking for a tragic ending lol #I'd want this to ultimately be a happy ending for Percy #(even if it gets much worse before it gets better)#im looking for something that actually explores and expands upon the clear distress and turmoil and resentment #that Percy is BARELY able to suppress at this point #im looking for something that will actually hold the gods responsible for breaking their promises #but that would require RR to write a definitive end for Percy and co's stories #which he'll never do #so Percy will just continue to spiral and spiral and spiral #and there will never be any meaningful emotional resolution to it #I hate it here #pjo #percy jackson #mine
