beginnerâs guide to the indie web
âi miss the old internetâ âweâll never have websites like the ones from the 90s and early 2000s ever againâ âiâm tired of social media but thereâs nowhere to goâ
HOLD ON!
personal websites and indie web development still very much exist! it may be out of the way to access and may not be the default internet experience anymore, but if you want to look and read through someoneâs personally crafted site, or even make your own, you can still do it! hereâs how:
use NEOCITIES! neocities has a built in search and browse tools to let you discover websites, and most importantly, lets you build your own website from scratch for free! (there are other ways to host websites for free, but neocities is a really good hub for beginners!)
need help getting started with coding your website? sadgrl online has a section on her website dedicated to providing resources for newbie webmasters!
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are the core of what all websites are built on. many websites also use JS (JavaScript) to add interactive elements to their pages. w3schools is a useful directory of quick reference for pretty much every HTML/CSS/JS topic you can think of.
there is also this well written and lengthy guide on dragonfly cave that will put you step by step through the basics of HTML/CSS (what webpages are made from), if thatâs your sort of thing!
stack overflow is every programmerâs hub for asking questions and getting help, so if youâre struggling with getting something to look how you want or canât fix a bug, you may be able to get your answer here! you can even ask if no oneâs asked the same question before.
websites like codepen and jsfiddle let you test HTML/CSS/JS in your browser as you tinker with small edits and bugfixing.
want to find indie websites outside the scope of neocities? use the search engine marginalia to find results you actually want that google wonât show you!
you can also use directory sites like yesterwebâs link section to find websites in all sorts of places.
if you are going to browse the indie web or make your own website, i also have some more personal tips as a webmaster myself (i am not an expert and i am just a small hobbyist, so take me with a grain of salt!)
if you are making your own site:
get expressive! truly make whatever you want! customize your corner of the internet to your heartâs content! you have left the constrains of social media where every page looks the same. you have no character limit, image limit, or design limit. want to make an entire page or even a whole website dedicated to your one niche interest that no one seems to be into but you? go for it! want to keep a public journal where you can express your thoughts without worry? do it! want to keep an art gallery that looks exactly how you want? heck yeah! you are free now! you will enjoy the indie web so much more if you actually use it for the things you canât do on websites like twitter, instead of just using it as a carrd bio alternative or a place to dump nostalgic geocities gifs.
donât overwhelm yourself! if youâve never worked with HTML/CSS or JS before, it may look really intimidating. start slow, use some guides, and donât bite off more than you can chew. even if your site doesnât look how you want quite yet, be proud of your work! youâre learning a skill that most people donât have or care to have, and thatâs pretty cool.
keep a personal copy of your website downloaded to your computer and donât just edit it on neocities (or your host of choice) and call it a day. if for some reason your host were to ever go down, you would lose all your hard work! and besides, by editing locally and offline, you can use editors like vscode (very robust) or notepad++ (on the simpler side), which have more features and is more intuitive than editing a site in-browser.
you can use ctrl+shift+i on most browsers to inspect the HTML/CSS and other components of the website youâre currently viewing. itâll even notify you of errors! this is useful for bugfixing your own site if you have a problem, as well as looking at the code of sites you like and learning from it. donât use this to steal other peopleâs code! it would be like art theft to just copy/paste an entire website layout. learn, donât steal.
donât hotlink images from other sites, unless the resource youâre taking from says itâs okay! itâs common courtesy to download images and host them on your own site instead of linking to someone elseâs site to display them. by hotlinking, every time someone views your site, youâre taking up someone elseâs bandwidth.
if you want to make your website easily editable in the future (or even for it to have multiple themes), you will find it useful to not use inline CSS (putting CSS in your HTML document, which holds your websiteâs content) and instead put it in a separate CSS file. this way, you can also use the same theme for multiple pages on your site by simply linking the CSS file to it. if this sounds overwhelming or foreign to you, donât sweat it, but if you are interested in the difference between inline CSS and using separate stylesheets, w3schools has a useful, quick guide on the subject.
visit other peopleâs sites sometimes! you may gain new ideas or find links to more cool websites or resources just by browsing.
if you are browsing sites:
if the page youâre viewing has a guestbook or cbox and you enjoyed looking at the site, leave a comment! there is nothing better as a webmaster than for someone to take the time to even just say âlove your siteâ in their guestbook.
that being said, if thereâs something on a website you donât like, simply move on to something else and donât leave hate comments. this should be self explanatory, but it is really not the norm to start discourse in indie web spaces, and you will likely not even be responded to. itâs not worth it when you could be spending your time on stuff you love somewhere else.
take your time! indie web doesnât prioritize fast content consumption the way social media does. youâll get a lot more out of indie websites if you really read whatâs in front of you, or take a little while to notice the details in someoneâs art gallery instead of just moving on to the next thing. the person who put labor into presenting this information to you would also love to know that someone is truly looking and listening.
explore! by clicking links on a website, itâs easy to go down rabbitholes of more and more websites that you can get lost in for hours.
seeking out fansites or pages for the stuff you love is great and fulfilling, but reading someoneâs site about a topic youâve never even heard of before can be fun, too. i encourage you to branch out and really look for all the indie web has to offer.
i hope this post helps you get started with using and browsing the indie web! feel free to shoot me an ask if you have any questions or want any advice. <3

I have a somewhat odd question. In June, I was part of creating an online Pride Shabbat for queer Jews unable or unwilling to go to Pride in their home area due to the rise in antisemitism, and as part of it, I wrote a memorial/Kaddish meditation about queer people across time and space. Itâs fair to say I couldnât have done it without MQH, which featured heavily in my research of historical queer figures.
I want to share the piece on Tumblr because I think some folks with progressive synagogues might like it, or may simply find it personally meaningful. Here comes the question: in any other time, Iâd find it absolutely abhorrent to share it without crediting you for the time, love, effort, and care youâve put into MQH that made my job so much simpler. But times being what they are, I donât feel itâs right to do so indiscriminately, because Iâm all too aware you may face splash damage for being associated with a filthy Bad Jew who doesnât disavow all of Judaism etc. etc.
As a result, I feel obligated to ask if youâd prefer I omit your name from the post, especially since youâre trying to make MQH financially solvent. Please let me know, so I can decide how to structure my post.
Okay this is a complicated question. I will admit I was initially quite confused by the second paragraph of this, until I checked your blog. I realized quickly that you are refering to the fact that you're a Zionist.
I feel like I have been very public about the fact that I oppose Zionism, but in case I haven't been obvious enough, I want to say it clearly:
I learned about anti-Zionism and the movement to free Palestine from almost exclusively Jewish voices. People who have been referred to as "self-hating" when I post about them. They are voices I didn't seek out for their opinions on Palestine, but who shared their opinions with a level of love and passion that I admire deeply. They have gifted me with time and education, and they are the only reason I believe what I do today. Without these Jewish voices, I do believe I could have lost myself in the deliberate obfuscation that happens around this issue.
All of this being said, yes, please do share that I was able to help share queer stories that informed what you have created. But know, that everything I have made comes from a deep love and passion for justice that includes the Palestinian people.
#answered#I hope I answered this well#I admit to not being even close to an expert about how to speak out about this specific issue#but I wanted to share my experience

THE MOMENT WE WERE ALL WAITING FOR, FINALLY FINISHED THE DESIGN OF ASTER YESSSSSS â¨â¨â¨â¨â¨â¨â¤â¤
This design belongs to the Wish rewrite called "The kingdom of wishes" (Written by @annymation and soon illustrated by @emillyverse and me)
Sorry for the delay, but this guy had so many things to draw and I also had a thousand ideas that it took me a while to capture them all (4 drawings wow, even I'm surprised lol)
Now after this introduction I will tell you the procedure of its design :]
2D MODEL:
-Maybe some don't notice it, but for the 2D drawing of Aster I didn't add many shadows, because in the classic Disney movies the animation doesn't have many shadows if we look closely, this is for several reasons (at that time they had to inking FRAME BY FRAME, can you imagine how much longer it would have taken to add detailed shadows? I really have respect for the animators)
(Here are some examples of what I'm trying to explain)
-As I said before, I didn't detach myself much from the concept art of the movie, I just added some other details that occurred to me, Anny and Emy.
-We decided that his cape would have the constellations of the signs of the zodiac (It was Emy's idea), which in the final result are on the cape, the constellations are noticeable more or less depending on Aster's mood.
-In the Wish rewrite it is mentioned that Aster's hair is like a candle (Reference to Hades) so I decided not to add the lineart in that part
His hair changes depending on his emotions, but not only that, but also his lineart, the calmer he is, the cleaner his animation will be, however with strong emotions (anger, sadness, nervousness) his details will be more neglected, especially when He is REALLY angry, by the way I made his hair look like a flame to give more drama to his design and also make a reference to Ember from Elemental
And as a final detail, the star-shaped gem that she has as a brooch changes color, just like her earrings.
3D MODEL:
-When Aster disguises himself as a human, his details on his clothes would disappear and the shape of his accessories would change to ones without a star shape, also the tone of yellow would look duller, you know so as not to draw attention (although he is dressed like a prince with a giant cape, the boy doesn't know how to hide the truth very well lmao)
-In general, it's just that the design becomes simpler, the only thing that changes is her hair that is no longer a flame, her freckles that are no longer little stars, her clothes no longer have so many details and her mark on her eye disappears( ̄â˝ďżŁ) .
By the way, I wanted to thank @the-autistic-idiot for giving us the great idea of ââAster having a star-shaped mark on his eye :D.
-Also, I think that those who have seen my other Wish redesigns are wondering why it seems like I had spit a rainbow at Aster's 3D drawings, what happened is that when I was painting my neurons said â¨Change your coloring⨠and well, The drawing in the end came out like this, although I honestly like it better, it better represents how I draw in a traditional way
Yes, basically the coloring of my drawings is as if a unicorn had spit on them lol
FINAL COMMENTS:
-It was very fun to draw Aster! The boy really has a lot of changes, but thanks to him I already discovered my digital drawing style so I am satisfied.
-Again sorry for the delay, I know that for many Aster must be their favorite character so I hope your wait was worth it :]
See you next time!â¨â¨

Coffee and Consequences
Summary: Reader joins the BAU, and Spencer seems insistent on being a problem for her.
Request: pls i am such a sucker for angst/smut, can you do one where spencer is closed off and cold to a new recruit, and it upsets her, so she tries to get him to like her, which leads to an argument and confession, with soft smut?
Couple: Spencer Reid/Fem!Reader
Category: Smut/Light Angst (Happy Ending)
Content Warning: Reader POV, little shit Spencer, oral sex (f recieveing), gunshot wound/typical canon violence, unprotected sex
Word Count: 6.1k
Upon starting at the BAU, I believed there was no question about me, especially when it came to my skills and ability to perform my job. From stellar recommendations from my superiors at the Academy, to general demeanor and tact, there was no question about whether or not my success was imminent. Most of the team were more than elated to welcome me to the small family theyâd built over the years, despite my younger age than most of them, which I was eternally grateful for.Â
Most, being the keyword in that sentence. Since Iâd begun, thereâd been one thorn in my roses, the bane of my existence, you might say. Spencer fucking Reid. Iâm aware of the fact that not everyone could like me, that was a given. I'm an FBI agent, for godâs sake. To expect warmth and friendship from everyone would be naive and lead to disappointment in any given scenario.Â
But Jesus Christ, this was getting absolutely ridiculous.Â
I consistently replayed the events of our first meeting. In an attempt to make a good first impression, (which seems stupid, in hindsight) I brought coffee to each of my new co-workers, hoping to establish myself as a friendly, non-threatening presence in their lives. Iâd covertly asked Emily for help, as within the interviews and background checks required to even be considered for a position in the BAU, there was a certain camaraderie and friendship forged through the continued exposure to each other.Â
Emily advised me carefully, understanding the intentions behind the act, and being more than happy to help. âJJ likes vanilla lattes, nothing too fancy. Rossi is a little simpler, a Caffe Americano.â I spoke, and continued to go through my teamâs regular orders, until there was hesitation on a somewhat infamous name, one that I myself was already intrigued by. âSpencerâs an easy order to remember, but you have to make sure you get it right.âÂ
I found myself nodding, the seriousness of Emilyâs words striking me- momentarily finding myself forgetting that they were speaking about something as mundane as coffee. "Emily spoke slowly, as if I was advising a child. 'Reid likes black coffee, but you have to make sure to add extra sugar.'" I nodded quickly, "Alright, black coffee with extra sugar, got it-" Emily interrupted me abruptly. "No, no. You're not hearing me, extra sugar. I mean a lot, okay? Otherwise, he quite literally won't drink it."
I found myself chuckling a little bit, thinking about the image of Spencer Reid Iâd built up in my head before Iâd even met him. I knew he had been framed and had endured a considerable time in prison. I was also aware of his intelligence, a natural by-product of all the papers heâd written, and how many of his own techniques in geographic profiling were referenced during my time in the Academy. Working with him seemed like a dream come true. The idea of a grown man needing as much sugar in his coffee as Emily made it seem added just a bit of charm to the already positive perception Iâd had of him.Â
In the coffee shop, I carefully recited the orders of my new teammates, taking extra caution in advising the barista that the black coffee needed extra sugar. I could tell the patrons behind me were definitely annoyed, but it didnât matter. First impressions matter more. Even after my incessant requests about sugar, I took the time to open the lid of the steaming black coffee to add in 3 extra packets of brown sugar provided at the customization station in the back of the coffee shop. I could tell the barista was boring holes into the back of my head, and I honestly wasnât surprised or could blame her. At this point, the sugar had to be more than the coffee itself. I gave a satisfied grin to myself, knowing Iâd followed Emilyâs directions and the possibility of friendship with someone Iâd already come to admire wasnât something far-off to wish for.Â
God, was I wrong.Â
I approached the bullpen cautiously, being greeted by an assortment of new faces. I quickly matched names to descriptors that had been given to me from Emily. I then noticed one face that hadnât greeted me yet, sat alone in the back with his nose in a book. I couldnât discern the title, which I quickly figured was due to the fact that the book appeared to be some European language Iâd most likely never even heard of. The man had a mess of brown hair on his head, and even from across the room I could tell it was curling softly near the nape of his neck. He was handsome. More handsome than I had pegged him for. I knew almost immediately that this had to have been the infamous Spencer Reid, and I cautiously approached him, flashing a small smile.Â
He heard me a mile away, looking up quickly and putting away his book. His eyes seemed to size me up, and he didnât seem to return my smile. I knew better than to shake hands with him, being predisposed to his germaphobe nature and instead held out the coffee, almost as if it was a peace offering.Â
âHi, uh. Iâm the new recruit, I believe Emily warned you all about me and I just wanted to introduce myself. (Y/N). Thatâs my name. Itâs nice to meet you.â I said, a little dumbly, still holding the coffee out. I quickly realized I hadnât explained the reasoning behind the coffee cup and quickly added, âCoffee. I asked Emily about how you liked it. And brought it. So, yeah.â I said. I was aware of how awkward this conversation was becoming, considering I was still holding out the cup, like an idiot, and he hadnât said a word to me yet. He nodded, taking the coffee cup from me and placing it on his desk. âDr Reid. Welcome.â His greeting was short, but I tried not to let it bother me. Perhaps he wasnât as forthcoming to strangers, nevermind that. The coffee was enough. I smiled, again, hoping to make my intentions clear. âNice to meet you, Dr Reid.âÂ
I turned back, feeling satisfied. Iâd done what Iâd come there to do. Except a sound from behind me alerted me that maybe I was a bit early to assume that, because when Iâd turned around, an incredibly displeased Dr Reid was throwing away his coffee- the coffee I had brought! That Iâd waited for in a morning rush for, that Iâd taken the time to add even more sugar to- that coffee! In the trash! His eyes met mine as he dropped it into the trashcan near his desk, shuddering a bit as he did so. He didnât even look apologetic.Â
I approached him, a bit upset and sad, but there was caution in my tone, not wanting to offend him before he even had a chance to know me. âDr Reid, Iâm sorry was the coffee-â Dr Reid quickly interrupted me. âDid Emily not tell you my order?â He asked, a little bit of sharpness to his tone.Â
Okay, so this guy took his coffee seriously. Emily was not kidding around.Â
âUm, yes-â He interrupted again. âYes? Are you sure?â He said, a bit of condescension in his tone. Okay, holy shit. All this over coffee? âVery sure.â I responded, confidently. âBlack, with extra sugar- I even put extra at the counter.â I added this, trying to convey that while I was sorry it wasnât to his liking, itâs not like I didnât try. That had to count for something, right?Â
Wrong. Spencer Reid did not seem like the type of man who cared about trying. He retorted with, âWell, it wasnât enough.â And with that, he shuffled to the breakroom, seemingly to make his own coffee.Â
It seemed like from there, things only got worse. In one of my first cases, I quickly made a quip about the statistics on suburban murders, hoping to add some valuable information to the conversation. I tried hard not to overpower anyone and stay in my lane as the resident newbie, but Spencer seemed to take personal offense to it, going out of his way to argue that it meant nothing. I fired back, hoping to affront my point but Reid quickly cut me off.
âYouâre new, alright? And young. Itâs granted that you should be clueless when it comes to some of these things.â His words, although somewhat true, were accompanied by a harsh tone and a coldness in his voice. What couldâve been well-meaning advice from a senior agent on the team was clearly not that at all. All signs pointed to one thing: He absolutely hated me.Â
For all I tried, it seemed like he only disliked me more. It wasnât unnoticed by my teammates, how heâd dismiss me. I was aware of my newness, of my inexperience, how this team had had years to grow around each other before I was ever even considered for this position, but it seemed with the more time I spent at the BAU, Spencerâs disdain only increased. He seemed to go out of his way to not sit by me on the jet, or how he seemed absolutely uninterested in anything involving me. I understood that not everyone would like me, but a bit of respect would be nice. I didnât need friendship, just his tolerance, and even that seemed out of reach for Dr Spencer Reid.Â
Eventually, this led to the dynamic we harbored now. A year into the BAU, and instead of a friendship, or even acquaintanceship, it was constant bickering. Itâs not like I wanted to argue- he just made it impossible for me to find footing within the BAU. I obviously stood up for myself, but was met with resistance from the doctor, and so the cycle continued.Â
Still, despite the obvious dislike Reid harbored for me, it wasnât like that magically made him dumb, or any less attractive to me. His intelligence was as impressive as Iâd expected it to be, if not even moreso. I watched in real-time as the cogs in his mind turned, his slender fingers finding a point on the side of his mouth to tap, before stopping and sharing what heâd just thought of. He was brilliant, and no one could take that away from him
However, in this particular case we were currently dealing with, it seemed that brilliance simply didnât matter, because how could someone like him be so absolutely stupid?Â
The hostage situation we were dealing with was tricky, to say the least. Multiple civilians, and a trigger happy unsub. Any experienced agent would be at a loss when handling something like this, but Spencer seemed confident. Heâd been pushing to storm the building, citing that more people would get hurt the longer they allowed the unsub to continue making demands. I found myself wholeheartedly disagreeing, attempting to put my foot down and be heard. I found that perhaps, through negotiations, we could not only save the civilians, but walk away with zero people hurt. Naturally, this caused commotion between the senior agent and myself.Â
âReid, Iâve told you for the millionth time that this unsub canât be approached like this!â I whisper-yelled, clearly fed up with Spencer by this point. He questioned every decision of mine, and it's gotten to me.Â
â(Y/N), youâve dealt with maybe 3 hostage situations in your life. This isnât something for you to take point on. We have civilians in there, and itâs more important we save them.â He responded, in his own hiss.Â
âYouâre being ridiculous!â I retorted.Â
âYouâre naive!â He shot back.Â
Weâd clearly reached a head when it came to this. Spencer huffed, rolling his eyes. âIâm using my seniority here. Weâre going to give the go-ahead to SWAT and make our way into the building.âÂ
I found myself returning the gesture. âSpencer- '' I began, only to be interrupted.
âDr Reid.â He corrected, venom in his voice.Â
âAre you fucking kidding me?â I replied, furrowing my brows.Â
âWhat?â He countered, seeming calm, but his eyes gave away simply how determined he was to win this.Â
âThis is a terrible idea.â I said, firmly. âSomeoneâs going to get hurt.âÂ
âOh, and how do you know that?â Spencer quipped. âIs it your years of experience in the field? Or your time spent as an FBI agent?â He said, sarcastically.Â
âI understand I donât have as much experience as you, but-â I started, but I found myself cut off by him again. Bastard. He never let me finish my sentences. âExactly.â He responded, calmly. âYou donât have as much experience. I know what Iâm doing. Letâs go.â And with that, he walked, leaving me to simply follow. God, I fucking hated that guy. Forget the intelligence, none of that mattered when he was such a dick.Â
As they entered the warehouse doors behind SWAT, IÂ knew that it was wrong. Something was off. Weâd profiled this unsub as the dominant type, and an egotistical personality that wouldnât allow for a partner. It was a part of the profile that they were sure of. It was part of the reason why Spencer was so confident of going in.Â
Upon entering though, the SWAT team had a clear shot of the unsub, but in a split second, there were shots heard from an entirely different part of the warehouse. From the direction in which Spencer was directly in line of.Â
It wasnât like I thought about it, maybe if I had, I wouldnât have done it. It was based on pure instinct. I found myself in front of Spencer Reid, the man whoâd questioned my every decision since Iâd begun my job, taking a bullet for him. Maybe he was right, maybe I was an idiot.Â
I heard the gunshot first, then felt the cold floor pressing into my cheek where Iâd been knocked down. Then a tight pressure in my arm. I finally looked down, seeing a bloom of red appear under my dress shirt where a bullet had struck, away from the vest I wore to prevent this sort of thing. I took in a sharp breath of air, eyes widening as my breathing began to quicken. I rolled onto my back, only to be met with Spencerâs concerned and frightened expression above me. I heard ins and outs of his speech into his receiver, as I faded in and out of consciousness.Â
âYes! We have an agent down. We need medic, now!â He yelled. I watched him in fascination, his face currently seeming to be the only thing I could focus on besides the overwhelming burning that I felt. I heard him speak to me, calmly. âY/N? Stay with me, okay? You need to stay conscious. Okay?â He spoke to me calmly, but the waver in his voice was unmistakable. I found my eyelids growing heavier as I nodded.Â
It wasnât long until I came to, groggily opening my eyes to see Spencerâs concerned face looking back at me. I heard his voice, soft and distant.Â
â(Y/N)..?â Spencer said, cautiously.Â
âDr Reid?â was my response. I was still a bit dizzy, and a bit confused about my whereabouts.Â
âYou were shot.â He replied, immediately. âIn your arm.â He added, as if that wasnât already obvious.Â
I found myself chuckling, âYeah, I can tell.â I said, my eyes meeting his. His expression was a bit unreadable, a mix between sternness and apprehension. I watched him, as his gaze shifted and he bit his lip. âYou took it for me.â He said, suddenly. âThe bullet, I mean.â He continued. âIt wouldâve hit me if you hadnât gotten in the way.âÂ
âGotten in the way?â I questioned, raising an eyebrow.Â
âGotten in the way.â He repeated back to me, his face hard.Â
âAre you upset I took a bullet for you?â I said, furrowing my brows, my lips parting in shock. Was this guy serious?Â
âYes.â He said, his voice angry. âWhat were you thinking?â His voice wavered with anger and another emotion I couldnât quite discern in that moment.Â
âI wasnât thinking, I just-âÂ
âExactly.â He responded, harshly. âYou werenât thinking.â He said, his voice reaching a volume Iâd never heard before, granted, it was still collected, but Iâd never seen this side of him.Â
I contemplated how to respond to this, actually not being able to believe that he could be mad at me for something like this. Yes, it was brash but- he didnât get shot! Isnât that a plus? His voice broke my thoughts, now a bit more shaky, softer. âDo you have any idea what that would mean? If youâd been hurt worse, what that would mean for me?â He said, looking right at my face, into my eyes with a blaze. âWhat you mean to me?âÂ
I found myself unable to respond, still not being able to grapple with what he was saying. What he was implying. âSorry?â I asked, softly.Â
â(Y/N)..â He said, softly. His own expression mirrored my confusion mixed with longing Iâd never seen before on him. Especially when he looked at me. His hand brushed across my face, moving some hair that had drifted near my eye. I held my breath as he did so, watching as his tongue slipped out to wet his bottom lip, still watching intently. I felt my lips slightly part as he came closer, unsure what was going to happen in this moment, but regardless, my gaze was intently trained on his.Â
In a split second though, the sounds of the rest of the BAU filtered into the hospital room. They jumped away from each other, Spencer now 4 feet away from me. Emily came up to my bedside, looking at the wound.Â
The typical chastisement came, and the general choruses of appreciation that I was still alive. The diagnosis revealed that (Y/N) would be just fine, given I remembered to clean my wound liberally and change the bandages.
In about a week, I found myself discharged. I was given about 2 more weeks to rest at my apartment. I assumed the time would be enough to forget the strange moment Iâd had in the hospital room. At some points, if I tried hard enough, I could convince myself it hadnât happened at all. The tenderness in his eyes, the way his gaze drifted to my lips, so subtle it couldâve as easily been a figment of imagination. I shook my head, as if I could rid myself of all the feelings Iâd harbored about that specific moment. I made my way to the kitchen, grabbing a fresh-set of bandages to apply on the recovering wound, wincing as I peeled away the layers of gauze to reveal the injury. As I began to apply the anti-septic, I began to wrap the gauze, until I heard a knock at my apartment door.Â
I put down the gauze, looking through the peephole and being surprised to see the senior agent that had been haunting my thoughts for the past few weeks. I opened the door quickly, meeting his pensive gaze.Â
âCan I come in?â He said, quickly, almost if he didnât say the words fast enough, heâd bolt the other direction. I sensed the confusion about his own actions, and opened the door wider, allowing him to push past me into my apartment. He noticed the gauze, and the open wound, and raised an eyebrow.Â
âI was changing the gauze, sorry.â I said, explaining the sight on my kitchen table. He immediately took a step towards the table, picking up the bandages. âLet me help.â He said, quietly, motioning for me to sit down.Â
I found myself sitting, out of pure habit of obeying him, but still shook my head.Â
âDr Reid, no, itâs fine.â He quickly shook his head, mirroring my previous actions, already beginning to take my arm, his light touches on my bare skin shooting a shiver up my spine. This was noticeable to him, him immediately retracting his hand.Â
âSorry, did I hurt you?â He asked, softly.Â
I found myself shaking my head. âNo, no. Sorry. Just. Continue.â I said, trying to get the words out without looking at him. I suddenly remembered the strangeness of this situation, and forced myself to calm down as he began to carefully wrap the bandages around my injury, swallowing and looking up.Â
âDr Reid, why are you here?â I asked, carefully. I made sure that my tone was neutral, not trying to express displeasement, but still a bit confused about his intentions here.Â
âYou took a bullet for me.â He replied, simply, as if that explained why he was in my apartment, looming over me as he tenderly wrapped gauze over my arm, looking at me with the gentlest gaze Iâd ever seen on him. I sighed, locking eyes with him. âI know, but-â He interrupted. âNo, (Y/N), you donât know.âÂ
Immediately, the rage returned to my eyes, the months of dismissal Iâd faced from him flooding back in a moment, and those emotions came to full light in that moment. my brows furrowed, my face turning sour. âOh, I donât know, Spencer?â I said, sneering at him. âAm I too young, too stupid, too inexperienced for you?â I question, sarcastically. âAm I so dumb, that I wasnât aware of what I was doing when I stepped in front of you?!â I say, my voice practically yelling at him now.Â
âYes.â He whispered, dangerously close.Â
âExcuse me?âÂ
âYes. You werenât aware.â He says, repeats, softer this time. âItâs the only way any of this makes sense. That.. that you were so unaware, so blinded that you werenât thinking when you stepped in front of me.â He said, quietly, remaining just as close as before.Â
âI wasnât.â I said, firmly, my brows still furrowed but the tension slowly left my face, being replaced with a softness.Â
âWhy did you do it then?â He said, dropping his gaze as he began to focus more on the bandages. âI havenât been very forthcoming with you since youâve begun your time at the BAU.âÂ
âAh, so youâve noticed.â I said, trying to make humor of the situation, but it came out a bit more breathless and dry. I was aware of the intimacy of the situation, and it seemed my body was catching up. I could physically feel the way my cheeks were heating up, and how they were close enough that I could see every breath that exhaled from his lips. How, despite everything, I still desperately wanted to kiss him at that moment.Â
I couldnât be crazy, when he secured the bandages and slowly trailed his eyes over my figure, sitting in front of him. I saw the same desire I felt, reflected in his eyes, and I found myself biting my lip. What the fuck was going on?
âSo whyâd you do it?â He repeated, still looking at me.Â
âIt felt natural, I..â I trailed off, trying to find the words to explain what I had felt in that split-second, but instead went with the simplest retelling my brain could manage, considering how close he was. âI didnât want you to get hurt.â I said, looking at him. âI.. I care about you.âÂ
I felt stupidly vulnerable. His breath fanned over my face, and I bit my lip. I waited for him to say something, anything, staring anxiously at his face.Â
âIâm a good profiler, you know.â He says, softly.Â
IÂ chuckle a little at this, moving away so the tension can be relieved. âTrust me, Iâm reminded of that every day.â I said, feeling like the distance between them was now more manageable, allowing me to talk.
But in a moment, he closed that distance to its predecessor, just as close as they were a moment ago. âYou learn a lot about body language. Not just by learning to profile, but through years of experience. It just comes naturally, reading people. You canât really turn it off. Itâs like trying to forget how to breathe.â I hung onto his every word, and found my breath hitching when he directed his monologue to me.Â
He gently inquires, âDo you understand?âÂ
I nod, looking up at him, as he inches closer.Â
âSo I hope youâll understand and not take offense when I say Iâve been profiling you.â He pauses. âWould you like to know what Iâve found out?â He says, looking right into my eyes at this point.Â
My brain is screaming at me to say no, to not take the bait that he was dangling right in front of me, and to not cross that line tonight. Because, surely, thatâs where this was going. I had a sneaking suspicion that the man in front of me was going to ruin me, if I let him.Â
Instead, I ignore the instinct and intuition I normally rely on, and nod. âWhat did you find out, Dr Reid?â I responded, a bit shakier than I wanted to sound.Â
âYour pupils dilate when I come near you. Itâs an involuntary response, but I notice it every time. Iâve seen it in low and heavy lighting, the only commonality in both those situations being that we were in some proximity to each other.â His voice was low, and seductive, something Iâd never heard from him before.Â
âYour heart rate.â He murmurs, slowly picking up my wrist and pressing a thumb to the pulse point. âThis isnât exactly the best way to measure heart rate.â He explains, âMy thumb. It carries its own pulse that can make it hard to distinguish between mine and yours. But right now, (Y/N)?â He mumbles. âI can tell. Because your pulse is going crazy right now. Itâd be hard to miss.â He said, with a low chuckle.
And heâs right, I can feel my heart getting faster with every second he speaks to me, in that hushed tone that seems to be driving me crazy.Â
âItâs not just tonight. Iâve noticed it since the day you walked in.â He whispers, getting closer to my ear, his lips brushing against the shell of my ear. âSince you brought that terrible coffee, actually.âÂ
I pulled back, letting out a noise that was both composed of surprise and amusement. âOh come on, it was not that bad.âÂ
âIt was, but I can tell you tried.â He said, a small smirk playing on his face. âIt was cute.â He said, now taking the time to brush some hair out of my face. It all happened quickly, his gaze tender and soft, before he captured my lips in a swoon-worthy kiss, pressing himself against me. I quickly melted into the kiss, letting out a satisfied sigh as I gripped his forearm, before rising from the chair as he slowly guided me to my couch. I let out a nervous laugh as my knees hit the cushions, tumbling a bit as I fell onto the soft pillows. He immediately pulled back, breathless, looking at me worriedly.Â
âI didnât hurt you, did I?â He murmured softly, kissing me again, a bit more gentle so I could murmur a soft ânoâ against his lips.Â
âGood.â He growled, positioning himself above me on the couch, beginning to press hot kisses down my neck, eventually reaching my exposed sternum, and looking up at me through hooded lids for implicit consent to continue, to which I nodded, feverishly.Â
âPlease.â I whispered, hoarsely.Â
He took no time in obliging my request, rising a bit to remove the fabric of my shirt in one, clean swoop and continuing his assault on my chest, leaving open-mouthed kissed, eventually switching to nips and playful bites, as he sucked marks into the swell of my breasts, leaving me letting out delighted sighs and soft moans, which only seemed to encourage him to go lower. I arched my back, screwing my eyes shut, until he felt him stop, and come back to my neck.Â
He murmured against me, close to my ear. I could feel his lips slowly brush the sensitive skin between my ear and neck, barely giving me any real stimulation, but it was enough to drive me crazy anyway.Â
âKeep your eyes open, baby.â He whispers. âI want to see every part of your pretty face when I do this.â He says, returning lower again, leaving little kisses everywhere he could possibly go with his lips. I opened my eyes on command, watching as he went lower and lower, before finding the button on my jeans, slowly undoing them with nimble fingers and moving them off my legs. I could imagine them so vividly inside me, expertly guiding me to pleasure in a way that mine couldnât. But right now, if I wasnât fucked senseless by him right now, Iâd just about lose my mind.Â
âSpencer.â I whispered, breathlessly. âI need you.â I breathed out. âPlease.âÂ
âYou need me to do what?â He asked, smirking as he already began to undo his own belt.Â
âSpencer.â I repeated, firmly, not wanting to say the words.Â
âSay it.â He says, in a much more commanding tone.Â
âSpencer..â I repeat, breathing out again. âFuck. I need-â I waver on the words, biting my lip. âI need you to fuck me. Now.âÂ
His smirk turns into a grin of satisfaction and pride, capturing my lips in yet another passionate kiss. âMm. Wasnât so hard, was it?â He says, cockily. I whined against his lips, tacitly begging him to just get on with it and he chuckles, moving off of my mouth.Â
âAlright. I get it.â He says, moving his lips downwards again, his lips brushing against my underwear, as he began to remove that fabric as well. He nearly moaned when he saw just how wet I really was. It was a bit embarrassing, just from a few touches and words, but it was hard to care when I felt his tongue right on my core, beginning to lap at the hot flesh, reducing me to moans as I knotted my fingers into his hair, arching my back and bucking my hips to feel more of his ministrations. He seemed to understand, hooking his strong arms under my thighs, firmly planting me to the couch we were currently on, continuing. I could feel his moans against me, sending vibrations that only heightened my arousal in that moment. As if that was even possible.Â
And then it was, because I heard him murmur against me.âYou taste-â he paused, using his tongue to lap up more of my arousal. âSo fucking good.â He finished, beginning to now harshly flick at my clit, which caused an entirely new slew of sensations. I recognized my end was fast approaching, and I tugged on his hair, unable to form the words as the white-hot pleasure overtook me quickly, he seemed to understand this without a word, nursing me through my orgasm as my thighs shook around him and he held my hips down. Even then, he didnât stop, continuing to flick his tongue, lapping up my arousal until I had to physically push him away with a soft groan. âSpencer.. Itâs too much.â Even then, he continued, reducing me to nothing but moans, and I heard him whisper. âCome on. One more. Please.â The words unintentionally caused a flutter in my stomach, and in record time I was being pushed towards my second orgasm in a matter of 5 minutes.
His mouth was clearly so much better at this than arguing.Â
I felt him lap up the last bit of my arousal, looking up at me with a glistening chin, and Iâd be lying if I didnât say it was the most erotic sight in the world at that moment. The man that had questioned me at every turn, now in between my legs. He gave a smirk, moving up and giving me a rough kiss, and I didnât hesitate to moan in his mouth when I could taste myself on his tongue. He smiled as he broke the kiss, caressing my cheek with one of his hands. His thumb moved along the smooth expanse of my cheeks.Â
âAre you okay?â He asks, gently, concern in his eyes.Â
I couldnât help but break out into a dazed smile, nodding, a thin cover of sheen over my body, where I was still breathing heavily. âYeah. Iâm good.âÂ
âGood.â He breathed out. âIâm not stopping.âÂ
âI donât want you to stop,â was my response, his shirt coming off before Iâd even finished my sentence.Â
I watched in fascination as he undid his belt, the very sound of it filling me with anticipation and desire. I could feel myself getting more aroused by the second, despite my previous two orgasms. I wanted him, I wanted this so badly.Â
I felt him position himself over me, and feeling the head of his arousal run through my folds. I let out a breathy groan, as I felt him push into me. He let out a moan of his own, shutting his eyes. âYou feel.. So fucking good.âÂ
I whimpered slightly as my body adjusted to him and his size. He was so big, and Iâd never felt full like this before. He noticed this and placed a gentle kiss against my lips, watching my face as it contorted in pleasure and pain. As the pain began to subside, I looked up at him nodding.Â
âMove, please.â I begged, the desperation evident in my voice.
He took no time in obeying my request, beginning to slowly thrust in and out of me. I moaned, feeling his cock stretch me and fill me up in a way I had never been full before. A pleasant sensation bloomed through my lower abdomen, and I could feel him bury his head into my shoulder as he pushed into me, my walls clenching on his length with every movement he gave. He pressed wet kisses into my neck, and I moaned happily at the feeling. In an instant, I could feel him fucking me desperately, placing both of his hands on either side of my face. I could feel my jaw drop, and no sound came out. I was being hurdled towards my third orgasm of the night and it was all at the behest of the man in front of me, plowing into me like it was his job.Â
I moaned loudly, my legs wrapping around his waist in an attempt to keep him buried in my deepest point, feeling my release creeping up on me.Â
âSp-Spencer..â I groaned, attempting to alert him of my impending orgasm, but he simply swooped down, kissing me roughly, which only caused me to moan into his mouth.Â
âI know, baby.â He whispered, in a deliciously dark tone. âCome for me, baby. Wanna feel you make a mess all over my cock.âÂ
It took no more provocation from there, as I felt my hips buck up once more and my thighs shake. I came with a loud moan of his name, my free hand gripping onto him and leaving scratches I knew wouldnât go away for a while.Â
My release seemed to spur him on, the wetness allowing him to fuck into me harder. I watched the man above me lose all control, and it was beautiful. He grunted a bit, and I could feel his hips stutter, chasing after his orgasm.Â
âPlease, Spencer.â I begged. âFill me up, I need to feel you come inside me.â I whispered.Â
It didnât take long after that, after a particularly hard thrust, a warmness filled me at my hilt and Spencer nearly collapsed over me. He gave me a kiss, murmuring into the skin of my neck. âSo perfect, so fucking perfect for me.âÂ
I smiled at the praise, biting my lip. I let my hand traverse over his back, drawing figures into the warm skin. I looked at the man laying on my sternum, looking absolutely fucked out despite being the one to give me three orgasms tonight. âPerfect, you say?â I teased.Â
He looked up at me, kissing my lips softly, before mumbling against them, âMm. Perfect.âÂ
I had a sneaking suspicion the next time we were at work, and heâd have something to say about my work, (because he always did), it wouldnât take long to have him whispering sweet nothings to me in an instant, just like he was now. At least I could do something right on the first try.

Steal Away - Malleus
Author Notes: I wrote this fic a little while back and its just been gathering dust in my documents until now. I guess you could say this fic is a bit of a callback to simpler times pre-Diasomnia chapter, though it doesn't have to be specifically set at that time. This fic was written while I listed to the song âSteal Awayâ by Robbie Dupree. As per usual, reader is gender neutral. I hope you enjoy!
Type: Gender neutral reader/ sfw/ fluff/
Word Count: 979
I slipped quietly out of the front door and onto the porch of Ramshackle Dorm. My eyes quickly finding the shadowy figure that had drawn me out of my warm bed and into the chilled night.
Most people would probably be distressed by seeing a tall, horned figure out in their front yard in the dead of night. But I wasnât concerned. After all, I happened to know the young man whose lilting humming currently filled the otherwise silent darkness quite well.
âHornton,â He turned at the sound of my voice, bright green eyes widening slightly as he spotted me before he relaxed once more.
âChild of man, I wasnât sure if I should expect you after you didnât come out to greet me last timeâŚ.â
And there it was. His signature pout. It was hard to believe that anyone could find this man terrifying when I was looking at him like this. Especially considering that he let me call him âHorntonâ of all things.
âSorry about that⌠I guess I mustâve been really tired the other day,â His expression softened as I explained my absence from whenever his last visit had been.
There was a slight smile on his face as he tilted his head, âIs your daily toiling so great that you fall into such a deep slumber when the evening comes?â
I laughed slightly at his odd way of phrasing before shaking my head, âWell, Crowley and school together do keep me pretty busy, but I think I was just sleeping really well.â
His smile turned amused as he continued to gaze at me, âAnd what of tonight? Does sleep evade you, Child of Man?â
I blinked up at him before shrugging, âMaybe a little? I just saw you and wasnât really that tired, so I came out to chat.âÂ
And it was true. Up until the moment Iâd seen Malleusâs glistening faerie lights, Iâd been curled up in bed listening to Grimâs soft snores, feeling totally incapable of falling asleep.
He hummed in response before turning to glance into the distance before looking back my way with a distinct frown, âIt seems I shall not be staying long this evening.â
His pout had returned, and it wasnât hard to guess why. Sebek and Silver were no doubt out looking for him, and that meant he would either be returning to Diasomnia or giving them slip yet again.
I reached out, patting his arm affectionately as I grinned at him, amused by his sulking, âHey, itâs okay. I doubt this will be your last evening escapade.â
His eyes widened in an almost comical fashion as he echoed me, âEscapade?â His gaze turned thoughtful, and he seemed to look past me, at some distant point of interest, before reaching a sudden decision.
A grin that I could only describe as evil crossed his pale face as he looked at me and held out a gloved hand, âA splendid idea, Child of man. Shall we steal away?â
I blinked up at him, startled and with widened eyes, before fumbling out a reply, âWha- What?â
He chuckled, a low sound that, accompanied by his gleaming, unnaturally green eyes, made him both appear and sound distinctly villainous.Â
Maybe I actually could understand why some of my classmates were wary of him. Just a littleâŚ
âAn escapade. Would you like to come with me?â His explanation confirmed my suspicions.Â
The great Malleus Draconia, heir to the throne of the Valley of Thorns, was asking me if I wanted to help him avoid his bodyguards and play hooky.
It was an impulsive decision, and I honestly wondered if Aceâs troublesome ways were beginning to influence me, but I found myself slipping my hand into his nonetheless, âJust for a bit, we donât want to worry them too much.â
His grin was now positively devious as his fingers curled around my hand as if he were claiming some sort of prize, âThey would be fine even if I stayed away all evening.â
I squeezed his hand slightly and grinned back at him as I teasingly scolded him, âBehave.â
He chuckled again before tugging me over towards him and wrapping an arm around me. I stumbled slightly but managed to catch myself against him before I looked up at him as the strangely firefly-like green lights began to float around us. A signal that he was just about to use his magic and teleport to some place.
In the distance, I could hear Sebek calling for his lord, but I ignored him in favor of questioning Malleus, âWhere to?â
His gaze met mine, and he squeezed me ever so slightly in a half-hug before turning his bright-eyed gaze towards the sky with a truly villainous grin, âWhere else? Into the night, of course.â
There was a floating sensation and flash, and then we were gone. Leaving the front yard of Ramshackle dorm empty as both knights came walking up. One, perfectly calm even as the other one agitatedly scanned the area.
âLORD MALLEUS?â Sebekâs yell shattered the silence of the night as Silver shook his head.
âIt looks like theyâve already left,â His voice was distinctly tired sounding as he trailed off in a yawn that had Sebek looking at him irritably.
âWho are they? The only person Iâm concerned with is Lord Malleus!â Silver sighed almost immediately at Sebekâs intonation before looking at him meaningfully.
âMalleus and Y/n. We should leave them be. Father said having friends was good for Malleus,â And with only those words, Silver turned and started to stroll away. Leaving a sputtering Sebek to follow him.
âBu- But⌠A HUMAN?â
âQuiet Sebek. You wonât want to wake the ghosts like you did last time,â Silver hardly even missed a beat as he continued on his way. Leaving you to spend time with Malleus for as long as your shared escapade lasted.

Hollowframe 57 + Umbra, my submission for the TennoCon 2024 Community Showcase!
Sorry that it took this long to post! This update is special for many reasons, and I'll go through them all here!
First up, Dante AND Jade!
This is the first time I've added two frames to the project at once, rushing to get both finished in time for Tennocon. In order to do so I had to skip making backgrounds for them, however I still plan on making them as soon as I'm able!
You can find more details about the delay and my change of plans regarding their solo compositions in the thread here
In addition to the two new frames, I also took the liberty to rework and tweak a bunch of the older designs that I felt weren't fitting the goal of the project well enough. It was nice drawing simpler designs again! (old on left, new on right)
Here's a timelapse of the changes made to the poster! Tumblr can only have one video per post, so you can find a twitter reply with videos for Dante and Jade here!
Now to get sappy, cause this poster had two journeys through Tennocon! The first being that it got accepted into the community showcase, so here's pics of that! What an absolute honor omg
The second journey was my own personal print, which got signed by so many amazing and lovely people from DE!! I'm SO glad I got the poster printed for myself from Mercury Blueprinting the day of TennoVIP oh my lorrrrd
I might as well add that you can also find all this in my new ArtStation portfolio! Link to it here:
Aaand if you want to check out the Hollowframe Google Drive folder for free or more, it's now available on my new Ko-fi! Link to it here:
Previous Hollowframe update:
I think that's it! There's no way I would have ever guessed how far this project would go when I started it 3 years ago. Thank you guys so much for the support throughout the years, just absolute insanity and i'm losing my ability to word good i still cant get over iiiiiiiiiiiit
#god took long enough lol#glad to get it out#though still gotta do those backgrounds for dante and jade auggghhh#it's fine i just have to learn to start drawing again oml#warframe#warframe fanart#hollow knight#hollow knight fanart#my art#UpsideDownSmore's art#hollowframe#i forgot tags on the twitter thread uh oh

Curious Cat
⣠Summary: Perhaps being curious wasn't all that bad. âŁÂ ⣠Word Count: 1.48k ⣠Warnings: Slight Sub! Chris, fluff, smut, comfort, use of safeword, sex toys [vibrators], slight overstimulation, aftercare âŁÂ ⣠Female! Reader [No use of Y/N] | You/Your pronouns âŁÂ ⣠Additional Tags: Chan is referred to as Chris, Channie, Baby, and My Love, Reader is referred to as Baby, unedited ⣠Stray Kids Masterlist ⣠General Masterlist
Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back - and boy, was this cat satisfied.
Chris didn't intend on snooping around your room when you left to get snacks for your impending movie date, nor did he intend to find a few hidden objects in your sock drawer.
Who knew him wanting to coo over your cute Sanrio themed socks would've turned into him holding not one, but two of your sex toys?
"Alright, I think I have every- Why are you holding those?"
His head snapped in the direction of your voice, your hands holding two convenience store bags filled with the snacks you'd promised.
"I-I, um, I didn't mean to-"
"Are you trying to skip the movie and get to the good part of the night?"
The suggestiveness in your tone made his heart skip a beat - sure, he was ready for you no matter what, but he genuinely wasn't trying to come off as entirely horny, he was just curious.
"I wanna watch the movie, really, but..."
Looking down at the toys in his hands, he couldn't help the thoughts brewing in his head; how do you use them? Do you use them by themselves or do you watch the private videos you two have made while touching yourself? Do you use one or multiple in one night? Do they make you come just as hard as he does?
"I... I think I wanna know how these work."
"On me?" You mused, a sly smirk growing on your lips, "Or on you?"
Oh.
Was that even possible? Could your toys work the same on him as they do for you? Could they make him come just as hard as you do?
Chris was curious, some may say too curious for his own good, but he wouldn't let that deter him.
Which is how he found himself now; naked and writhing on your bed as you held a small blue vibrating toy to the leaky head of his cock, the two bunny shaped ears vibrating in a pattern that left him breathless.
The rabbit vibrator, you'd told him - it was your go to for nights where you just wanted to get off and go to bed.
It made his head spin just simply knowing that the toy currently on the flared tip of his dick was also used on your clit.
"How's it feel, baby?" You cooed, the only piece of clothing still on your body being a basic pair of cotton panties. "Feels good, right? I didn't even have to use too much lube with the way you're dripping right now."
He whined out a sound of agreement, too focused on the pulsing of the toy to pay you any mind.
"This next one is new, I haven't even used it on myself yet but that's okay - you can be my little test bunny, yeah?"
"Y-Yes, fuck yes, please." If one toy was able to make him feel this good, then whatever you had planned for him next was more than welcome.
The small, targeted vibrations of the rabbit left his cock, prompting him to open his eyes and look down at you in question before his gaze locked onto the next toy in your hand.
It was bigger, sort of shaped like a microphone, and was slightly intimidating based on the simpler, theme-less design.
"It's a Hitachi wand," you explained, turning it to give him a full view, "it's supposed to have more power than the rabbit, but since I haven't used it yet, I don't know how it's supposed to feel on me - so, make sure you tell me everything you feel, okay?"
Chris nodded, his dick throbbing in anticipation, "Okay, yeah, I will."
You took a moment to coat the soft bulbous tip with lube before turning it toward him; rubbing it along his shaft to give him a general idea of what it feels like while it's not running.
"Ready?"
"R-Ready."
The click of a button was all he could register before a strong wave of vibration forced a choked gasp from his plump lips.
He could feel it everywhere; from the tip of his cock to his abdomen - he could even feel the vibrations in the taughtness of his balls, it was insane.
If it weren't for the fact that you were sitting between his legs, he probably would've been folded like a chair from the pleasure.
"Channie? How's it feel, baby? What is it like?"
His hands fisted the sheets, chest heaving in uneven breaths as he tried his best to collect the brain cells to form words.
"I-It- oh fuck, fuck, it's so- it's everywhere, baby- oh my god don't stop, please don't stop!"
His stomach was coated in precum, his cock leaking in ways you haven't seen before - you were almost jealous it was being wasted on him instead of in you, but that would be fixed later on.
Pressing the vibration button, you kicked up the speed and pressed the toy against the underside of his cock, right against a vein you were graciously familiar with.
The sound he let out was crossed between a grunt and a gasp of air, eyes rolling to the back of his head, and before you knew it, thick ropes of white streaked across his chest and stomach.
It was like he was frozen in time, stuck between breaths and stomach contracting with each wave of cum leaving him, numb to everything but the constant vibrations now spreading throughout his body.
At the same time, you weren't fairing any better; watching in shocked amazement as your usually loud finishing boyfriend was resorted to nothing but choked breaths and twitching limbs. It wasn't until a certain gasped word forced it's way past his lips that you were brought back to reality.
"R-Red- Red-"
You turned the toy off immediately, tossing it behind you as your hands moved to hold his shaking ones, knuckles white from his grip on your sheets.
"Okay, Channie, it's okay - we're all done, yeah?" You could see the faint streak of tears shining down the sides of his face, watching as he tried nodding his head. "You're okay, baby, just take a deep breath with me - slowly, just breathe with me."
He took a shivering inhale, broken between soft hiccups, before sighing it out slowly, his body relaxing just a bit.
"Good boy, just a few more times for me, alright?"
With each breath taken, his body finally relaxed and the tension in his hands released enough for you to slip your hands into his palms, thumbs caressing his undoubtedly sore knuckles.
"You did great, Channie, such a great job - will you be okay if I leave to get a washcloth to clean you up? Do you want me to run a bath?"
Chris shook his head softly, squeezing your hands, "Just... Just a washcloth... A-And some water, please."
Nodding, you leaned down to press a kiss to his right hand, "Alright, baby, I'll be right back."
It only took a few minutes for you to return with the warm washcloth and a bottle of water, gently wiping up the mess of cum from his skin and lube from his softening dick, before helping him sit up to drink.
He finished the water bottle in record time, chugging it as if he just finished a set on stage before letting out a deep sigh, leaning his head against your headrest.
"That was..."
"Intense?"
"Amazing." He laughed lightly, "And intense too, yeah, but it was... I never felt anything like that before, but I feel like if I didn't tap out then, I would've passed out."
Small giggles bubbles from your mouth, shaking your head at his honesty, "Well thank you for letting me know - do you need me to do anything for you? More water? Food? Wanna talk it out some more? Where's your head at, my love?"
A small hum left him as he opened his eyes to gaze at you through a soft haze, "Food sounds great, and we can definitely talk about it more but not before you tell me how you're doing. I'm alright, really, just a little overstimulated - but what about you? I didn't mean to scare you with the safeword."
"You didn't scare me at all! I was just worried about you, trust me - I'm just glad you're okay." Scooting closer to him, you pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek, smiling as he press himself into you. "I'll order the food, you just focus on cooling down, yeah?"
He nodded before looking at you with puppy eyes, "Can we order a pizza?"
Rolling your eyes, you laughed, "Yes, we can order a pizza - find something to watch then we can talk about the toys some more."
With a hum of agreement, you set off to put your date night back on track.

Pairing(s): Rafe Cameron x fem!reader

Rating: Pure brutal angst
Warnings: fucking painful
__________________________
I think I may have made a small miscalculation.
My eyes trailed over the mass of muscle currently spread out on my bed.
Rafe Cameron.
Kook King, heir to Ward's real estate empire, and asshole extrodinare was sleeping soundly in my bed. It was almost laughable if I wasn't so fucking terrified.
The sunlight danced across his tan skin, the sheets bunched up at his hips leaving little to imagination. My breath caught as my eyes followed the small happy trail causing memories of last night to assualt me.
Sitting on the chaise lounge chair, I curl up against the pillows humming softly to myself. Bringing the mug up to my lips, I bite back a smile at the utter relaxtaion on his face.
When Rafe told me to pack a bag, my stomach flipped with nerves. Being the maid of the infamous Cameron family wasn't exactly ideal in the eyes of his family let alone being a pogue. So we kept our relationship a secret at his request. He had too much to lose if his family reacted poorly.
People wouldn't understand. Ward wouldn't understand. That's what he always told me.
Yet, as much as I tried to understand his reasoning, a small part of me ached at the thought of it being much simpler: I just wasn't enough.
It was exahusting to say the least. Always having to hide and watch as other women with more social status and money than me throw themselves at him. It didn't help that Rafe had a tendency to flirt back causing the green monster known as jealousy to rear its ugly head in my face.
So I stuck with what I knew how to do: clean.
And just as I begin to fall off the deep end, straight over a cliff into overthinking, Rafe always manages to pull me back out. This time he did it by offering a small getaway.
The Cameron's weren't set to use their beach house for another month or so, leaving this entire property for Rafe and I to simply enjoy each other's company. Something we rarely get to do.
There was no need to pretend here.
A groan pulled me out of my thoughts directing my eyes to the bed. A cool salty breeze swept in from the open balcony doors, the sounds of waves crashing agaisnt the shore soothed me.
Rafe peered at me from under his arm with a frown marring his features.
"What's with that face?"
"I don't like waking up alone." He complained, staring at me expectantly.
Giddiness singes every nerve in my body as I set down my mug and scurry over to the bed. The moment my knees hit the bed, strong arms envelope me and tug me into a warm prison.
"Mmmmh." Rafe hums, burying his face into the nape of my neck while his hand slowly tugs my leg over his hip. A small giggle slips from my lips at his softnessďżź.
"Are you laughing at me?" His voice rumbled with sleep.
"Yes, youâre a very simple man to please."
"I didn't have you, and now I do. There, it's simple."
My heart melted at his words. For someone who struggled wiht expressing how he felt, Rafe always managed to knock me on my ass.
"What did you wanna do today?" I asked, trailing my fingertips along his face, placing every freckle, every spot to memory.
Blue crytsalized eyes follow me every move. "You. In every room in this house. Then outside."
Blushing at his words, I huffed in fake annoyance and playfully shoved his face away from me. "Rafe, I'm being serious."
"I'm being dead serious, baby." He nipped at my fingers before rolling over onto his back, dragging me directly on top.
I rest my chin on the tops of my hands that laid on his chest and stare at the beautiful man below me. Rafe's fingers thread themselves into my hair brushing it softly, alomst lulling me to sleep.
I wanted to capture this moment forever. The sound of the seagulls chirping, the smell of the salty breeze, the warmth of his body under mine, and the utter adortion that dances in his eyes as he looks at me. It was intimate and real. And for a moment, I allowed myself to dream about the possibility of this becoming a reality.
The abilty to hold his hand in public and kiss his body in private. Being able to go on dates and be on his arm for events and dinners. Hanging out with his friends and his family because I knew what they meant to him. Being able to wake up in his bed rather than sneaking out in the middle of the night. I wanted it all.
Our picture perfect bubble. And consider me naive, but I thought this moment would last forever. But the thing about bubbles is they always pop in the end.
"Guess what?" Rafe asked, his cerulean orbs intense and sincere.
A beaming smile stretched across my lips at the familiar phrase he always used. "What?"
"I love-"
"I love you." I beat him to it, making him let out a deep bellyed laugh. I was memoriezed, enamoured by every little thing he did. I wanted to hear it again and again.
Opening my mouth, "No take backs-"
A knock on the door interrupts me.
That's when our bubble pops.
"Rafe? Open up." Sarah Cameron's voice fillters in from the other side of the door.
My eyes dart to Rafe, only for his face to be painted with sheer panic. In seconds, I'm shoved off the side of the bed and fall onto the floor in a heap of sheets.
My mind took a moment to catch up with my body. But when it did, the flood of emotions that crashed into me were nothing short of excruciating. An immediate lump formed in my throat at his actions as I try to make quick excuses for him but nothing came to mind.
"Just stay down, please." The sound of his request has me closing my eyes, his words hitting me deep, knifelike in the size of the wounds that they left.
I nodded softly. I remain still on my side on the cold floor as I numbly stare at the wall.
"Sarah, what the fuck are you doing here? I had the beach house for the weekend." His words were low and sharp, nothing like how he spoke to me mere seconds ago.
"Chill out. My friends and I wanted to get away a little, plus I figured you were already here, so. "
"You brought those fucking pogues here?"
I hear her scoff. "Your friends are worse."
"Just make sure they don't steal anything. I know it's hard for them considering they wouldn't see this type of money in a life time." His words were cruel, twisting the knife deeper into my chest.
I couldn't help but wonder if there was a double meaning behind his words. I was a pogue, just like Sarah's friends, and it would take me years to afford even a fraction of what's in this beach house.
Was that how he saw me? Was this the reason why we couldn't be public?
"Have you seen her? She wasn't at the house when I left." Sarah's question drew me back to the present.
I held my breath as I waited for him to answer about my whereabouts. I couldn't take another hit.
"I know you have about two brain cells, but please tell me why you would think I know where the help is?"
All my breath left my body and I fought the urge to scream. A heavy weight sat on my chest as I blankly stared at the floor, my eyeballs burning in absolute mortification.
"God, you're such an asshole."
"I aim to please. Now leave me alone." With that, Rafe slammed the door shut but I refused to move a muscle.
Instead, I tried to focus on my breath. It was the only thing that would keep me from having a panic attack. I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs but it's like my body forgot how to breathe.
Tears finally began to fall silently as I gasped for breath, clutching the sheet closer to my chest. Humilation pricked my very being as his words play on repeat in my mind.
Rafe was the best part of my day. He made me want things I didn't even know I wanted. And yet, this was how he viewed me. So small and insiginifcant.
Footsteps move in my direction but I paid them no mind. Moving was impossible, so I just stayed in the spot where Rafe thought I belongedâ on the cold hard floor.
"I know how it looks, just give me a chance to explain." I felt him kneel beside me, his hand reaching to cup my face. I jerked my face away from him and return my attention to the wall.
"Can you please get off the floor?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"This is where you wanted me, right?" The words left a stale taste in my mouth.
My heart pounded in my throat as a hot flush filled my cheeks.
"Look at me." He demanded.
I couldn't. It hurt too much.
"Baby, please. Look at me." He touched my chin and I felt my body shudder.
"Don't touch me." The words tore out of my chest as I wrenched myself away from him.
Rafe's eyes tracked my movement and his face became very still as if contemplating his next move.
The level of betrayal I felt must have been painted on my face, because his expression shifted to one of regret.
"I made a mistake-"
"Stop." I snapped, lifting my hand to cut him off. "Get out. I need to change and leave before Sarah see's me."
"I drove you, where are you going to go when you don't have a car?"
My eyes narrow at his tone. Once again he was painting me as this helpless girl that was nothing without him.
"I have two legs that work perfetly fine."
Rafe crossed his bulging arms against his toned chest. "You're not leaving until we talk."
A fake laugh ďżźpast my lips. "We're done, there's nothing left to talk about."
He let out a growl of frustation. "We're not breaking up."
Was he delusional?
"This is me breaking up with you. We are done, Rafe."
Rafe's icey blue eyes narrowed into slits. "Stop trying to break up with me."
"You threw me off the bed!" I shouted, my hands pointing to the floor where I laid moments ago, the shame still fresh as an open wound.
"You threw me off the bed." I repeated softer, my voice breaking at the end. "The bed, Rafe. Just so Sarah didn't see you with me."
"I shouldn't have done that-"
"It happened. It's done. Just let me leave."
Protecting what little self respect I had left was my only goal. No matter how much I loved him, it wasn't worth this constant stream of self doubt and humiliation that seemed to follow us like a plague.
Rafe stared at me for a moment before he jumped into action. Heading towards my suitcase, I watch frozen as he goes through my clothes, picking an outfit for me.
Taking several strides to me, Rafe shoved the clothes into my arms, his breath heavy. "Put these on."
"Rafe, what the hell are you doing-"
"I made a mistake. One that I'm going to fix right now. So stop fighting with me and put these on."
Unease filled me chest as my eyes dart to the clothes.
"How?"
"No more hiding. You and me, okay?"
I stared into his hopeful gaze, looking for even a flash of insincerity or deceit, but only found sheer determination. "Rafe, you can get out of this. I'm giving you an out-"
He shakes his head roughly, strands of golden hair falling on his forehead. "I don't want an out, I want you. So put the clothes on so I can go tell the world I love you."
I snorted, "Seems a bit melodramatic. Let's start small, yeah?"
Pushing his hair back, a sexy smile pulled at his lips. "Small."
I made my decision. Turning around, I grabbed the clothes and began to dress.
I wiped my sweaty hands against my mini white sundress as nerves begin to prick every bit of my skin. Rafe stood in front of me, his glacial eyes soft, with his hand held out for mine. "Ready, baby?"
Hope inflated my lungs as I placed my trembling hand in his, the cool feel of his rings brining a familiar type of comfort.
Rafe leads us out of the room and towards the staircase where voices floated up from downstairs. I was nervous. Extremely nervous. He was going to do it. Rafe was going to introduce me as his girlfriend to his sister and her friends, no less.
The sound of our footsteps echoed against the giant house causing the voices to slowly die away.
Coming into view, Sarah and the pogues are all perched in the living room wearing beach attire. An open bottle of tequila and shot glasses are spread along the table.
All eyes zone in on us before they zoom in on our clased hands. Sarah's eyes widened and I fought the urge to pull my hand from Rafe's grasp. As if sensing my thoughts, Rafe squeezed my hand reassuringly and moved me slightly in front of him.
He cleard his throat. "I uh-"
His eyes shot to mine. I let my fingers brush against his arm in encouragement, a proud smile gracing my lips.
This was the first step in the right direction. Once we told Sarah, it would be easier with each passing person.
Butterflies swarmed my stomach like a zoo. I knew how hard this was for him, but he was still doing this for me, for us. Rafe was finally making us a priority. The unattainble future now felt like it was within my reach.
"Sarah, there's something I want to tell you. I've um-well I've been seeing-"
The front door slammed.
"Looks like we're missing all the fun." Ward Cameron walked in, hand in hand with Rose. A loose linen shirt with thin pants dress his body with a hat and an expensive pair of sungalsses cover his face.
I felt Rafe's grip slowly loosen on my hand. Panic clawed at my throat as I turn my head to look at him. Rafe stared directly ahead with his jaw clenched. He refused to even look at me.
In a last ditch effort to cling onto the invisible string that held us together, I tightened my grip on his hand but Rafe jerked his hand away.
I felt the pressure in my chest finally pop and the string that once tethered us together finally tear. Dread sat in my stomach like lead and bile traveled up my throat.
He made his decision and once again, it wasn't me.
Heat rushed up my neck as I left my arms hang limply at my side. I didn't know what to do, I couldn't think. My shoulders slumped as I bit down on my tongue hard enought to draw blood.
It kept me from screaming.
"Rafe, thank god you brought the help. Though it looks like she hasn't been doing much cleaning." Rose tsked as she looked at the littered table in distaste. "Honey, be a dear and make us new drinks. Then when you have a minute, our bags are out front. Go ahead and put them in our room."
With a wave of a hand she dismissed me, as her and Ward walk passed me with no other acknowlegment.
My mouth went dry as I clenched my shaky shands together. I could feel Sarah's gaze drilling into the side of my head, but I couldn't look at her. Instead, I once again looked at the bane of my existance. The source of this crippling pain the crushes every inch of my soul.
"Rafe..." My voice trembled as I begged him, pleaded, for him to look at me. Just once.
I wanted him to see my face. He refused, the only hint of his turmoil was the bob of his adam's apple.
Swallowing my pride, I put my head down and do what I do best: clean.
____________________
I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me alive. I spent the rest of the day doing every little thing Rose asked. I kept my head down and said not one word.
Rafe made my place in his life very clear so I was going to be exactly what he wanted me to be. The perfect little maid.
The entire Cameron family sat at the table for dinner, John B included, as I gently set each of their plates down in front of them. I held my breath once I reached Rafe, knowing that one hint of his expensive musky cologne would send me into a fit of tears.
"Thank you." The timber of his voice caused me to close my eyes briefly in pain.
A familiar touch to my wrist made me jerk away and clear my throat. I continue serving dinner, forcing myself to ignore the gravity that's pulling me towards him.
"That'll be all, you can go relax for a bit. We'll need you back to clean up, of course."
"Of course." My smile was brittle. I allowed myself only a glance. Rafe glared down at his plate, hands clenched into fists at his side.
My feet moved on their own accord and soon I found myself outside, standing beside the pool that overlooked the shore. Taking in gulps of air, I placed my head in my hands.
Starting over was never something I planned. Once I met Rafe, everything else shifted into perspective. All I ever thought about was moving forward with him and starting a life together. One that he would be proud of. One where I didn't have to hide.
"I'm sorry." The words came from behind me and burned a whole straight through my chest.
I choked back on my tears that threatened to drown me and stare down at the rag in my hands.
"Baby." He moved closer now, his heat pressing into my side.
A small shake of my head was all I could muster. The armour I placed around my delicate heart was getting weaker with each passing second.
"I said, I'm sorry." His hand reaches for my waist, turning me to face my destruction.
A light blue linen shirt paired with white six inch seamed shorts don his body. A large gold watch decorated his wrist to match the shiny gold necklace that rested on his chest.
Looking down at myself, a simple tee and leggings, the contrast was so striking it was laughable. In what world had I fooled myself into thinking Rafe Cameron was mine.
Deciding to proctect my sanity, I moved back towards the house with every intention of cleaning up before grabbing my bag and leaving when Rafe blocked my escape.
"Did you hear me? I'm so fucking sorry, for all of it."
"I heard you." Indifference lacing every word.
Rafe gowled, running his hands through his hair in frustation at my lack of emotion. "Stop acting like you don't care and just talk to me."
"I don't care what your family thinks of me and I don't care what you think of me. I dont care anymore, Rafe."
Rafe gripped my chin and his irate gaze burned me. "Tell me what to do to fix it."
There was nothing left of me for him to fix.
The sound of Ward calling out my name is enough to distract Rafe. Pulling my face from his grasp, I promplty turned around and headed towards the house.
"Stop fucking walking." He barked out harshly.
Ignoring his words, I continue to head in the direction of the house. Only a few more hours and I can leave with my head held high despite the gaping hole in my chest.
"I swear to God, stop walking." I could hear his footsteps behind me causing a rush of adrenaline to spread like wildfire through my veins.
"Last time I checked, you work for my family. My last name is fucking Cameron so if I tell you to stop walking, you stop fucking walking." The words are cruel and dark and they have their desired effect because I stop immediately in my tracks.
My eyes began to burn as I pivoted on my heel and slwoly turned to face him. His gaze hardened and I can see him contemplating something before a vicious smirk decorates the face I love.
A glass tumblr was in his hand and I watched in absolute shock as he tilted the cup, spilling the dark liquid onto the floor. The rag in my hand suddenly weighed eight tons as I realized his intent.
"Clean it up."
My blood turned ice cold and a sound a disbelief left my lips.
"I said, Clean. It. Up." He gestured to the floor.
I searched his eyes for anything, for everything, but there's nothing there. Looking back down at the mess, I nodded my head and slowly dropped to my knees.
Tears blurred my vision as I scrubbed the floor clean, wanting nothing more than to disappear. Our fate was finally sealed in that moment.
Leaning back on the heels of my feet, I swallowed. Tears clung to my lashes but the damage was already done. The trails the tears left in their wake burned into my skin as a reminder of his cruelty.
His cold mask finally cracked at the sight of my tears. Rafe took a step in my direction but something in my face made him halt.
âIs there anything else I can do for you, Mr. Cameron?â I averted my eyes from his.
A harsh noise escaped his lips then he reached out and grabbed my shoulders. I closed my eyes at the heat of his touch and my lips began to quiver.
âI just wanted you to talk to meâŚ.â Rafe spoke softly, his words pained.
I wiped my tears harshly and forced myself to look at him for the last time. His hard glacial eyes study my face.
The memory from this morning continued to fade out of my reach. Pain filled me as I realized that was the last time we would ever be together.
âAm I free to go, Mr. Cameron?â
His face crumbled. For a second, one second, a twisted sense of happiness hit me at the sight of his pain. Rafe did this to us. Not his family, not his friends, but him.
Rafeâs face became very still. He nodded slightly and relief filled me. I stared into his eyes, hoping he could see all the love I had been so willing to shower him with, but it was now too late.
Giving him my back, I allowed the dirty rag in my hand drop. 20 more steps. Thatâs all that stood between me and the next chapter of my story. One that didnât include him.
Each step seemed to get heavier the farther I walked away from Rafe. I was wrapped around a haze of heartbreak that almost made my movements mechanical.
I entered the house, numb to the bone, and gathered all my things. Everything around me was out of focus as I dragged my suitcase towards the front door.
I could see Rose from the corner of my eye, her mouth moving, but the ringing in my ears only seemed to get louder. Pushing past her, I headed straight for the door and forced myself not to look back.
Everything was different now. In a way, so was I.
One foot in front of the other, I walked down the drive way. The ringing in my ears and the adrenaline that pumped through my veins was suddenly dulled at the sound of the door slamming open behind me.
Loud footsteps echoed behind me before my arms are grabbed and Iâm forced to turn around.
Rafeâs eyes were wild with panic as he panted in front of me. His entire appearance was disheveled with his hair sticking out in all directions.
âDonât go.â
I was so close to being out of his grasp and being free of this agony that gripped me so tightly it made it hard to breathe.
âYou were never mine. Were you?â The question slipped past my lips before I knew it.
âI love you. I do, please just come back inside and Iâll do what you want. Iâll tell Ward and Rose right now.â His blue eyes held so much hope, but it wasnât enough. The magic was all gone, replaced with this cruel torment.
âI was yours, in every way possible. But, it didnât matter what I did. I still wasnât enough for you. Iâm never going to be good enough, am I?â My voice cracked, but the words were out along with the realization of how painfully accurate they were.
Warm hands cradled my face pulling me towards his. Rafe rested his forehead on mine, his eyes boring into mine. I could feel the slight tremble in his hands.
âThatâs not true. You know thatâs not true.â
âHow could I possibly know that? You never do anything that says otherwise.â
âI love a man who canât even hold my hand in public.â He couldnât hold me gaze, instead he turned it to the floor with his jaw clenched.
âYou knew who I was when we started this. You knew what came with being with a Cameron. Our situation is much more complicated than youâre making it fucking seem. So I didnât hold your hand, now youâre going to leave me?â
His logic was horribly flawed.
âOur situation is not complicated. All you had to do was love me the way I loved you.â
âWhether you like it or not, youâre a fucking maid,â Rafe said through gritted teeth,â The maid to my family, no less, and you expect to be welcomed in with open arms? This isnât a fairytale, wake up.â
âThen what was the point of all of this? Of me loving you and you loving me, if it was never going to go anywhere.â
âThe point was that we were together and we were happy.â Rafe let out a frustrated noise and shook his head. But it was clear, he wasnât getting it. I knew nothing Iâd say would ever get through to him.
âWere we? Together, I mean. Because I was always at your beck and call. Literally and figuratively. Where were you for my college graduation? Where were you when my dad died? Iâll tell you where you were,â I pressed my finger into his chest, âYou. Werenât. There. Instead, you chose to love me from afar because you care more about the opinion of sheep than you do me.â
I couldnât stop talking. It was as though a wall cracked and suddenly every emotion I held in was flooding through.
âLook at me.â I shouted, grabbing his chin and forcing him to stare. âI want you to look me in the fucking eye. Look at the damage you caused. You did this to us. â
âStop being cruel.â
âCruel? You threw your drink on the floor and made me clean it up. Did seeing me on my knees make you feel big and strong?â
He tilted his head, his expression darkening. âEnough. Come back inside, now.â
âI wanted everything for you.â I laughed at how incredibly stupid and blind I had been. âAnd you canât even hold my fucking hand.â
Raceâs eyes softened marginally. âTell me what to do. How can I fix this?â
My stomach tightened. Steeling myself, I swallowed the lump in my throat and pushed out the next words. âYou canât.â
âI can, but youâre not give me a fucking chance here.â His words came out as a plea.
âBeing with you was a choice I made every day. One that you clearly couldnât make, so Iâm making it for you. Weâre done.
His jaw ticked. âTry and fucking leave me.â
I wanted nothing more than to run back into his arms and comfort him, despite it all. But I knew, if I was going to survive this at all, I couldnât be with him.
âIâm always running behind you, trying to keep up. Trying to be everything you want and everything you need, but Iâm all out of breath. I have nothing left to give you. But itâs still more than you ever gave me.â With those being my parting words, I clutched onto the handle of my suitcase in a death grip and force myself to walk away from him.
My shoulders jump at the sound of something shattering behind me.
âI love you.â Rafe screamed at the top of his lungs from behind me. His voice was brutal and laced with pain.
Not enough.

Fuck Everything, But Mostly Fuck You - Part 2
Previous Part, Next Part
Summary: You have never, EVER, in a million years hated anyone the way you hated Felix fucking Catton. But silver linings exist in the sticky toffee pudding Mrs. Gavey made for you.
Warnings- MDNI 18+, Sex, Felix is Felix (a ho), Reader finally eating some good fucking food, Michael is Michael, Farleigh is Farleigh, Oliver is Oliver (a creep), alternating POVs between characters, and author has spent too much time researching Oxford crap for this mess for a crack fic to be a crack fic
Author's Note: BRUH??? HOW DID I GET SO MANY NOTES IN PART 1??? Everyone has been so wonderful and supportive. I received so many questions and comments, which have all been great! Thank you for reading this story, and I hope that this part lives up the first one. Also, this is technically a Christmas fic bc it just fits with the story's timeline. I would like to thank Grammarly for catching all my grammatical errors đĽ˛, @ethereal-athalia for enabling my crazy ideas đĽ°, and @valeskafics for providing me Saltburn smut when I catch myself thirsting đ
Christmas Eve - Saltburn 2006
âOh! Oh â y-yes, yes, yes! FUCK!â
Fucking the girl underneath so hard to the point where she likely saw stars. Meanwhile, Felix was trying to finish as soon as possible.
âSo big! God, youâre so fucking big â FUCK!â
He brought her to his room and in his bed because he thought her hair just barely matched yours, and if he didnât think too much about it â her voice sounded a bit like yours too.
But he made a mistake.
The girl â whatever her name was â sounded nothing like you. Her hair was nowhere near as pretty and shiny as yours, and her nails were fucking long and sharp that they were digging for his blood. Her makeup too â fucking hell, it was like she trying out for the opera with how much she caked onto herself.
Every time Felix saw you â whether in the library or under a tree â your nails were trimmed short. And from what he remembered, you didnât plaster yourself in cheap cosmetics.
No, you never needed to. Your style of choice was simpler and more elegant than most girls he knew, including his sister, Venetia. Granted, he loved his sister to bits and pieces, but the girl loved her spray tan in the winter.
But worst of all â she didnât have your eyes. Her gaze was too mindless and soft, a mix of adoration and unparalleled lust. Your eyes held vivacious rage and
âFelix?â Whatâs-Her-Face asked. âYou okay?â
Fuck, he was getting soft.
Closing his eyes, Felix knew the only way he would get to finish was to think of you. He thought about the last time he saw you. He remembered how hard the wind blew and how cold it was that night. He felt himself harden at the memory of how alive your eyes were right before and after you broke his nose. His back still had the welts from the blows of your notebook. Every time he saw them in the mirror, he would lovingly stroke each bruise because they were the only evidence that you were real.
That you werenât just a figment of his imagination.
Letting his mind run wild, Felix imagined you here instead of this imposter. Heâd imagine you on top â no way a woman like you would let anyone be on top, not even him. Fuck, youâd be the most wild thing ever to exist, heâs sure heâd let you do anything to him.
His heart, his soul â whether you cared for him or wished to crush him under your shoe â everything of his would be yours.
He wondered if you were the type to be into using a riding crop.
Regaining his vigor with his eyes still closed, he imagined you riding him until oblivion. Your breasts would fit perfectly in his hands as you would still be bouncing on his cock. Your head would be thrown back, and his eyes would roll to the back of his head at the feeling of your pussy tightening.
Oh God, he was going to blow.
Quickening his pace, the girl that wasnât you was full-on howling in unbridled pleasure. When she climaxed, he could finally let go and come. Ropes of his cum spilled into the condom as he shouted out your name.
Falling to his side, he hadnât bothered to check if Lady Not You remained in the sheets. It didnât matter if she did; Felix was too exhausted to care. Finally feeling like he could rest, he fell into a dream about the day he felt his life truly begin â the day he met you.
First Week of Oxford University Michaelmas Term of 2006
Felix remembered the first time he saw you â it was after the first week since the term began. He and his mates were fucking around in Radcliffe, and the old bag running the desk was having a cow with them. He was bored out of his mind when all of a sudden â he spotted you on the upper level. You wore dark wash blue straight-leg jeans with rolled-up cuffs and white high-top Converse sneakers. It looked like your shirt must have been at least a decade old, given how the black-dyed cotton was faded to dark gray, and the paint looked cracked and chipped. Your thick locks were gathered in a loose but simple braid. Unlike everyone else, your eyes werenât focused on him â but on the structure and life around him.
He had to know more.
Slipping a tenner to one of his friends to cause a distraction, he used the diversion to make his way to your spot on the second floor. Having a closer view, you were the most vividly gorgeous creature he had ever laid his eyes upon. He was worried that his movement toward you would alert you of his presence, and you would only scurry off â and away from him. But judging by the slight bobbing of your head, you wouldnât be able to hear him since you were listening to whatever was playing through your earbuds.
All the better for him to keep observing you.
As he inched closer, his eyes caught the tiny wisps of your hair that werenât contained by your messy braid, creating a lovely frame of your face while also bringing out the shine in your eyes. You had a simple gold chain around your neck with a circular locket hanging. From the side, Felix could faintly distinguish the words âBon Joviâ in blue cracked paint and â1989â underneath a skull wearing red aviators.
He didnât know who the fuck Bon Jovi was, but clearly, he was someone pretty fucking important to you.
But what captured Felixâs interest was how engrossed you were with the scene unfolding underneath you. Your eyes very rarely broke away from the view â only to quickly glance at the hardcover sketchbook you balanced on the white-painted railing. Whenever you glanced down at your sketch, Felix could see how long and thick your eyelashes were. Each time you blinked, it was like his mind broke down the movement of your eyelids frame by frame as if he were editing a Garry Marshall film. He wished he could be your cheek at that moment. If only to feel the gentle flutter of your lashesâ touch. Deep in your concentration, your lips were slightly pursed in a way that brought out their luscious fullness.
He couldnât help but imagine how they would look around his cock. If he came inside your mouth, he was sure that some of his spunk would leak past your lips before you tried your best to swallow it down.
He was so lost in the fantasy of you and him that he hadnât realized you had been calling out to him. Breaking out of his reverie, he looked down to see you right before him. And you looked downright pissed at him.
âHey! HEY!â you exclaimed while waving your hand to his face to catch his attention.
You were American. How adorable.
âIf you could stop staring at me like a fucking serial killer, I think your âmatesâ are trying to get your attention.â
You pointed your finger at his group of friends still on the first floor. It seemed that they successfully drove away the grounds' warden. The old bat was now fixated on putting away all the returned or misplaced books on the shelves.
Must have been Farleighâs idea.
Anyway, back to you.
âYeah, sorry about that. Hey, can I get your ââ but you were gone by the time he turned back to you.
Instead, he found himself alone on the second floor. He quickly glanced around to see if you had just moved to a different area. But you were gone. Racing the stairwell, hoping to catch up to you, he found that you had already walked too far for him to call you out without seeming completely desperate.
Except that he was.
He watched you walk away â shoulders back, posture straight, and head held high â and thought at how utterly unfair it was to him that you walked away from him so beautifully without giving him your number, or at least your name.
Felix woke up in a dark room; he was confused as to why the maids hadnât drawn curtains â until he realized that Mum had likely sent them for their holiday after the party was finished.
It's too bad that he wasnât there to see everyone out like a good son. But he wouldnât beat himself over about it too much â chances were that his parents were also hungover off their asses too. He didnât even want to imagine Vâs state right now.
Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, Felix dug into his closet to find whatever someone wore the morning after fucking a completely faceless stranger to scratch an itch meant for someone else. In the corner of his eye, he caught sight of a little note on his nightstand. Swiftly plucking it with two fingers, he could barely make out the words written in swirly cursive.
My nameâs Cassie. Just thought you should know for next time. Call me: XXXX-XXXXXXX đ
Felix scoffed before tossing the dingy paper to the floor â destined to be forgotten before the next hour came â before locking himself in the bathroom to take a piss and wash off the smell of booze and cigs off his skin.
By the time he was finished, it was probably close to noon. He would have made his way down to the kitchens to fix something up â but he was immediately met with Farleigh as soon as he stepped out of the doorway. Bastard startled him up so bad that he practically jumped a foot off the ground.
âFucking â really, Farleigh?â he asked. âPractically gave me a heart attack first thing in the morning.â
âItâs almost one so that ship has sailed.â He quipped back. âAunt Elspeth and Uncle James were quite distraught when their golden son wasnât seen by any of the guests when the party ended. It wasn't good when the Carltonsâ daughter was gone for almost an hour. But at least she returned to her loving parentsâ arms by the time it was to go home.â
Farleigh shot his cousin a curious look.
âYou wouldnât happen to know anything about that, would you? Iâm pretty sure her name was Cassandra.â
Felix just shrugged.
âDonât know about any Cassandras. Fucked a Cassie last night, though.â
Farleigh snorted a laugh as they went to the kitchens to see if any food was prepared.
âMerry Christmas, indeed.â
A few minutes of companionable silence passed before Felix asked his cousin something important.
âHey, do you think sheâs thinking about me?â
âCassie or Cassandra? Because the answerâs probably yes anyway.â
âNo, not them. Y/N, Y/N L/N.â
Farleigh immediately stopped. He genuinely wondered how Felix managed to get into Oxford sometimes. Sure, he was a legacy kid, but the line had to be drawn somewhere.
âYou really think,â he slowly began, âthat the girl who dragged you out of the library in front of everyone, broke your nose, beat you bruised with only her flimsy-ass notebook â because you ruined her painting â would be thinking about you?â
Judging by the look in his cousinâs eyes, yes. Sighing at the incredulity of it all, Farleigh could only shake his head before finding something to eat and drink away the migraine he could feel was coming.
Watching his cousin walk away from him, Felix knew he thought he was fighting a losing battle. But he wasnât too worried. Everything would change during the upcoming term. Oxford was its own world â broken away from everything else. All that mattered to anyone in Oxford was this world's history, present, and future. And now â as it was made clear now to Felix â you were also part of that world. He would get to find you again and make sure to bring you to the point where you would look for him the way he would look for you.
Still, a selfish part of Felix hoped that you were even just the slightest bit miserable being away from him as he was being away from you.
Manchester, December 2006
You were having the time of your life.
Michael invited you to his home in Manchester for Christmas to spend the holidays with his family. You refused, at first, the idea of being a burden to your best friend during a time when it should be spent with family. Michael liked to put up a big front, but you knew that he was just as â if not more â excited to spend Christmas with his folks than you were before the âincident.â
But he insisted, and you could not have been more grateful for the invitation. But you wish you were a tad bit more graceful with your reaction when he first brought it up.
Oxford Dining Hall December 2006
You were angrily shoveling pasta into your mouth at the time. Sadly, the appallingly bland marinara sauce paired with the overcooked spaghetti and dry meatballs was the university's most flavorful dish.
âCome home with me.â He told you one evening during dinner time at the dining hall.
Caught off guard, you half-choked on the mountain of overcooked noodles in your mouth. Immediately, you reached for your glass of water to wash it down and to prevent a truly horrifically dull death.
âWhat?â you croaked out.
âCome with me to my house for Christmas.â He clarified, utterly unfazed by your near death. âCome on, youâve been complaining to me all week about not being able to fly back for the holidays. And no one should have to spend Christmas eating whatever slop theyâll end up serving.â
âMichael,â you began, âI am not going to impose on your family like that. And you seemed to have forgotten one key detail: I canât leave until I re-do the painting.â
âSo, come over after you finish,â he reasoned, âI know you remember what to do, and that already cuts the time you originally spent on it in half. You wonât need a whole month to do it again, so come over when you finish. Plus, you donât have your other classes to worry about.â
You knew that he was right â he was right about a lot of things â but the offer still made you uncomfortable. Scholarship student or not, you were no oneâs charity case. If there was one thing you hated more than being underestimated, it was being pitied by people who didnât know you. That wasnât the case with Michael, but the feeling made you feel small.
You hated feeling small.
âThat doesnât change the fact that I would be imposing on your family. Your momâs a nurse, right? Sheâs probably been looking forward to your homecoming for ages now. Informing her that she should be expecting a complete stranger, who would be staying for two weeks, would be a huge burden on her. She shouldnât have that kind of stress burdening her during the holidays.â
He rolled his eyes at your concern.
âDonât be a drama queen. I already have one in my life, and Iâm genetically attached to her. And youâre hardly a stranger. Mumâs always asking when you would be visiting anyway. Sheâs worried if youâre eating enough or getting enough sleep. Sheâs a bit looney like that.â
You shot your friend a glare. He was trying way too hard to keep a cool, nonchalant façade. Michael Gavey was a total sucker for his family but in the sweetest way. During the long study sessions that stretched into the night, Michaelâs defenses were lowered, and you could get more information about his life and home. Â
His mom was a Manchester Royal Infirmary nurse practitioner, while his dad was an accountant at Pearl Lemon. They met at a coffee shop. He was working as a barista to pay off his student loans, and she was a nurse just starting her residency. He wowed her with his terrible jokes, and she charmed him with her infectious smile, and the rest was history. Three years into their marriage, baby Mikey was born, with the addition of his baby sister Lilypad a decade later.
When you remained silent, Michael knew your stubbornness would give him endless headaches. But you were his best friend, the only person he saw worth befriending in the infinite sea of prats and slags that overpopulated their university. You laughed at his shitty jokes, and he snorted at yours. You would try to trip him up with out-of-pocket sums; heâd laugh when he answered them before your calculator. You had his back when some rugby bloke pushed him around, and he had yours when some fake tanned bitch called you a tramp.
âLook, I canât promise itâll be anything like your home. I know you miss your mumâs cooking and your dadâs drunk stories. But my parents already made me promise that I would get you to visit because itâs Christmas and no one should be alone and youâre going to die without me here and blah blah blah. Just say youâll come? Lilâ will murder me if you donât come. Sheâs been dying to hear all about the Great Apple and Broadway.â
ââŚItâs actually called the Big Apple.â
Your comment brought a loud and rather unattractive snort to leave his mouth. And the chuckle that came after brought a small and tentative smile on you.
âLook, are you coming or not?â
You had to admit, the invitation sounded welcoming. You were dying to put faces on the people that made Michael Gavey, well, Michael Gavey. He rarely talked about his family, but his tone was warm and soft when he did. It was such a sweet contrast to the snarky little shit you were used to, and so temptation won in the end.
ââŚFine.â You agreed after dragging out the tension. âBut I am bringing presents for all your family members, and you have to help me. And any funds that were spent on me are going to be paid back before summer. Got it?â
A true, genuine smile crept across Michaelâs face.
âI wouldnât have it any other way.â
ââŚWill I be seeing any baby pictures of you?â
âDonât push it.â
You werenât sure what exactly to expect from Michaelâs family â maybe they were wonderful, or maybe the idea of an American that hailed from a city with some of the highest crime rates in the US gave them hives â but you were sure that you wouldnât be alone if Michael were with you. Safe to say, your expectations were set way too low.
His dad's arms immediately enveloped Michael after you two exited at your stop and the station. You had always assumed most British father figures to be a bit cold and distant, but it seemed that stereotype didnât apply to his dad. You went in for a handshake but were also caught in a warm hug. You introduced yourself while expressing your gratitude to him and his wifeâs generosity.
âOh no, please,â he insisted, âplease call me Greg. Mr. Gavey was my fatherâs name, and I donât think Iâve grown that many wrinkles yet.â
When you arrived at his home, it was a medium-sized red brick building in the suburbs. After entering the door and Greg announcing your arrival, quick footsteps ran down the stairs, and a young girl with golden honey curls in pajamas and a pink tutu ran to Michael.
âMIKEY!â she exclaimed. âYOUâRE HOME! Did you miss me? Why did it take you so long? You said your tests were done by the third. Itâs the fifteenth today!â
âLily, Lily,â Michael breathily laughed, âcalm down. Of course, I missed you. But I had to wait for my friend because sheâs hopeless with directions.â
âThat is not true!â you blurted. âItâs not my fault I come from a grid system!â
âAnyway, this is my very good friend, Y/N L/N. Y/N L/N, this is my little sister, Lily.â
Lily turned to you with a big smile and curtsied like a perfect ballerina.
âHello! My name is Lily! Iâm eight, but Iâll be nine in April!â
You almost squealed at how adorable the sight was. You crouched down and mirrored her smile.
âItâs so nice to meet you, Lily! Iâm Y/N, and Iâm turning nineteen this coming b/m! Your brother here told me so much about you.â
âHe did?â she asked with wide eyes.
âHe did! He told you how smart you are in math and that youâre an amazing ballerina.â
Lily shyly looked down as a massively cute blush bloomed on her cheeks.
âI wanna be good at sums like Mikey. That way, I can help Daddy with his work like Mikey did when he was my age.â
âOk!â interjected âMikey,â cheeks equally flushed at the slipped detail from his baby sister. âTime to find Mum. She in the kitchen?â
âYep! Sheâs making roast chicken and mash with peas!â She turned to you. âIs Y/N allergic to anything?â
âNope!â you replied, âOnly dust, but Iâm pretty sure that wonât be in the dishes.â
Meeting Michaelâs mom â who was absolutely gorgeous, by the way â was another huge highlight of the break so far. Hearing you three entering the kitchen, she immediately turned off the stove and dashed over to hug you and her son.
âOh, Y/N!â she warmly greeted you. âIâm so happy that you were able to come. Michael has told me so much about you. Have you adjusted well in Oxford? The time difference isnât putting too much strain on you, is it? You both look so skinny â are they feeding you at all at that school?â
âCareful, Mum. You might scare her off.â
You shot him a mocking glare before answering his mother.
âDonât be mean! And I think Iâve adjusted well enough to the university. Jet lag wasnât too much of an issue because my parents made sure I moved into my dorm early and adjusted to the time zone changes before classes started. The food they serve at the dining halls doesnât compare to homecooked meals, so I havenât had much of an appetite. But after walking into the kitchen, I think Iâll be able to regain it once I have your cooking!â
âOh, you are so sweet! Iâll let you get settled. Greg and I cleaned up the guest room for you. Itâs next to Lilypadâs room. Sheâs excited to hear any stories you have about New York. Itâs just on the second floor at the end of the hall.â
Walking back to the entrance to grab your bags, you were just in earshot of Michael and his momâs conversation.
âMichael! Why didnât you tell me she was so beautiful! I thought she was a model from Vogue when she first walked in! Are you sure nothingâs going on between you two? Should I expect any grandchildren in the near future?â
âMum!â he loudly groaned as you softly chortled.
Christmas with the Gaveys was so much fun. You played a dozen board games. Michael was a beast in Poker and Uno while you cleared the board with Scrabble and Black Jacks. Mrs. Gavey was a fantastic cook â you couldnât remember the last time you had any meal that had more than salt as a seasoning since coming to England. You tried sticky toffee pudding for the first time â you almost cried at that first bite. Everyone was so warm to each other and showered one another with so much love. Most of the neighbors watched Michael grow up, and many shared his childhood stories. It reminded you a lot of the Christmases at your parentsâ apartment back in Queens.
The community and camaraderie- it was like you were back at home with your family. Your mom would pick up a roast duck from Peking Duck Sandwich Stall in Flushing while you and your dad would go to Eileenâs to wait in line to pick up your favorite cheesecake. The building would have a huge potluck on Christmas Eve, and everyone would bring a dish. Your neighbor, Mrs. Wong, would bring out everything necessary to make her famous dumplings. Everything was made from scratch. You and the kids of the building would learn how to wrap the fillings in the wrappers while the adults made the wrappers and fillings. You would play White Elephant with the other kids on Christmas Day, which usually ended in a fistfight.
You still missed home. You missed your parents and cat. You missed making cookies with your parents because Christmas was the only time when both of them had time off from work. While his school was still on break, you and your dad would take advantage of your momâs employee benefits and watch a bunch of live Broadway shows.
When your parents skyped you, you cried after seeing their faces for the first time in so long. School was so stressful, and you were starting to regret traveling so far when you could have easily gone to a school so much closer to home. You tried your best to reschedule your flight, but round-trip flights were expensive, and they increased exponentially during the holidays.
You cried for an hour after seeing the prices online.
But thanks to Michael, you felt so much less alone than you would have if you had stayed at Oxford for the entire break. You introduced him to your parents during the call, and they loved him. It was such a massive relief that they liked your friend, especially because of how much his friendship meant to you. When he left the room, your parents basically forced you to ensure he would come with you to stay with you when you returned for the summer. They were shocked when you told them he had never had fresh jianbing or a decent slice of pizza. After the call, you were confident they were making a list of every store and stall you and Michael would visit during his visit.
Classic Queensâ family behavior â showing love by forcing food down your throat whether you like it or not.
At the moment, you were at the window in your room and looking at the moon. It was about three in the morning, and the rest of the household was asleep.
Well â everyone except one.
Michael had crept in about half an hour ago, and the two of you were just looking at the stars. You hadnât expected to see so many â you could only see the lights from planes and aircraft at night back home. There wasnât any talking, only comforting silence. The scene outside your window with the fresh snow on top of the rooftops and ground. Each house had a slight outline of their Christmas tree lights shining from their lower windows.
Your fingers itched for your pencil and sketchbook to immortalize it.
Ever so softly, Michael broke the silence while looking at you.
âSo,â he began, âhow would you rate your first English Christmas in the Gavey Household?â
You looked back at him with the biggest smile that Michael had ever seen on you.
âTen out of ten. Would pay to see lightsaber reenactment again.â
If there was a God out there, you prayed for the coming term to be as wonderful as this holiday had been for you.
Suburban Prescot, Liverpool December 2006
In a well-established suburban home in Prescot, a short boy with crystal blue eyes and inky black hair locked himself in his room. The noise and babble from downstairs gave him a headache. He hated his parents. He hated his sisters. He hated being invisible and being from nowhere.
He had to get out of here.
In his backpack, a photo of a specific heir of a manor was safely tucked in the bottom. The new term was going to be different for him. He would make sure of it.

You know, after seeing your evil Ford au, I wonder what would happen if evil! Ford, met cannon! Ford. I feel like Cannon! Ford would hate him because he's just an example of what would happen if he haven't learned his lesson on perfection and how it's impossible to reach and how he doesn't need to impress people to be happy. I wonder what evil! Ford would think of his original counter part..would he be a little regretful? Since his cannon counterpart got more happiness than him? It's honestly intriguing to think about.
That's actually part of why I made Evil Ford: I was thinking about a dimension of lost Fords (like the dimension of lost Mabels in Don't Dimension It) and asked myself, which Ford alternate would Canon Ford most hate to meet?
So yeah you're right, Canon Ford would HATE Evil Fordâbut not for thematic "you haven't learned the moral lesson about perfection & family" reasons. That's how audiences think about characters, it's not how people think about other people. When's the last time you hated somebody in real life because they missed the point of their own narrative arcârather than because, say, they're rude to cashiers?
No, the reason Canon Ford hates Evil Ford is much simpler.
Similarly, meeting Canon Ford wouldn't make Evil Ford feel regretful because Evil Ford still thinks he made the right decision. What does he care if Canon Ford is "happier" if he only found contentment byâwhatâgiving up on his high ambitions and settling for being a washed-up burnt-out ex-academic with no memorable achievements to his name? Evil Ford would rather die as a miserable overachiever than live as a peaceful slacker.
And he didn't spend thirty years on a completely different life path from Canon Ford without developing a totally different perspective.
Note: when Canon Ford found out Bill lied about the portal and declared he'd stop Bill no matter what, Evil Ford thinks that's Ford betraying Bill, not the other way around.
Also note: Evil Ford thinks Canon Ford is only motivated by anger over being deceivedânot concern for the safety of the whole planet. Like yeah sure, he's HEARD that excuse; but that's what he thinks it is: an excuse. If he'd decided not to forgive Bill, he probably would've used the same excuse himself. A convenient, heroic-sounding moral justification for a thirty year vengence questâbut he doesn't really care that much about who's running the Earth, why would his alternate self?
(And really, Canon Ford? Thirty years? Thirty years?? You never found anything more productive to do with all that time than stalk your former mentor because you're MAD about ONE LIE?? If Canon Ford had said he thought killing Bill would net him more interdimensional fame and praise than he'd ever have as his underling, then Evil Ford could understand THATâhe himself has had misgivings about the fact that he's signed up to spend all eternity playing second bananaâbut as it is, though...)
Also also note: Evil Ford never reconciled with Fiddleford because he never acknowledged Fidds was "right" about Bill. He spent two-thirds of his life estranged from his brother. He moved across the country from his family. He made no friends in Gravity Falls, and likely no other college friends than Fidds. But he spent over half his life working with, dreaming with, living with Bill Cipher.
Evil Ford is evil; but he's not heartless.
Bill's the muse that gave him the blueprints he needed for his greatest invention and for the culmination of his life's work as a scientist and explorer. Bill's a near-god who hailed Ford as the greatest genius of his century, the man who's going to change the world, and via divine weirdness intervention he personally made sure that prophecy come true. Bill's the guy whoâafter Ford's embarrassing failure of a portal accidentâwelcomed Ford into his gang with open arms and the assurance that all his hard work wouldn't be for naught. He's Ford's longest-lasting friendship, his partner in crime and in science and in just about everything else by now, the person he trusts to puppet his body.
Is that a very skewed perspective on Bill? God, yeah. But it's Evil Ford's perspective.
If someone told you that all your suffering is due to the one person you trust most in all the world and the one person outside your family you care about the mostâsomeone you've known for over thirty yearsâand your life would be so much better if you'd ditched this person the very first time you didn't get alongâand that ditching them would have been the moral actionâand that, in fact, you should have dedicated your life to killing this person...
Would you regret your life? Would you envy the life of the man who told you all this?
Or would you despise him?
How much more would you despise him if you knew he was youâhad lived the same life as youâand that he had killed the most important person in your world?
Oh, Evil Ford resents the hell out of Canon Ford. Who are youâyou slacker, you betrayerâto say you're "happier" than your counterpart? How do you deserve that "happy" ending? How is that fair?
Evil Ford only has one regret: not locking up his entire family before Weirdmageddon, where they'd all be safe... and where Bill would be safe from them.

replacements for a few LMS mods
If you think you saw this post yesterday, yes you did- then I made a couple edits and realized I should have done it under a readmore in case people reblogged it... So here we go again! These are the possible replacements I found for the littlemssam mods I was using, in case they help anyone else.
Caveats: - Often not a 1:1 replacement. - I only went looking for replacements for mods I was actually using, so this only covers a fraction of her catalog. - Most of these modders still use Curseforge, they're just not exclusive to it.
Additionally, if anyone knows of a replacement for any of the following: Go For A Walk, Improved Meditation Stool, Improved Practical Spells (the improvements to the spells themselves,) No Random Job Offers (I know BosseladyTV has one, but it's CF exclusive,) Purchased Items Delivered By Mail, Release All The Ghosts, or Tea For Children, please drop me an ask! I only request no Curseforge exclusives and no Zer0.
On to the list:
Allow Stoves in University Housing -> Zerbu, No University Housing Restrictions
Auto Employees -> Kuttoe's "X Everywhere" mods, Zerbu's Spawn Refresh
Auto-Light Fireplaces Only When Cold -> Bienchen, fireplaceautonomytweak
Buy Treats via PC -> Bienchen, buypettreat
Calendar Tweaks -> Kuttoe, Less Frequent Prom (caveat: takes time to start working, especially if you're using a longer season setting)
Cookbooks -> ClaudiaSharon, Cook Experimental/Cultural/Jungle Food Without Tasting It First
Immortality Potion Fix -> Kuttoe, Potions Rework (only a half replacement- removes the VFX, but doesn't lock aging like the Scarlet/LMS mod)
Kids Can Walk Dogs -> ChippedSim, Paws & Claws (A Sim's Best Friend module)
More Away Actions -> Bienchen, awayactions (is actually included in the LMS mod)
No Burning Sun in Forgotten Hollow -> TwistedMexi, Daywalkers + Underworlds (caveat: per TMex's comment on the latter, the eternal night is only cosmetic and still requires Daywalkers for vampires to come out at "daytime". Also, Daywalkers affects all worlds. Still interested in a mod closer to LMS's if one exists!)
No Insects Herbalism -> Simularity, Improved Herbalism Potions & Features
No Shoe Sign Animation -> Lotharihoe, Shoe Sign Animation Tweaks (doesn't remove the animation entirely but does stop it from interrupting walking)
No Sick, Dirty, Sad and Hungry Pets -> Bienchen, catanddogsanity
Pregnancy Overhaul ("sims can do more" part) -> Bienchen, pregnantsimscandomore
Pregnancy Overhaul (belly sizes) -> t0nischwartz, No Bump or sonozakisisterssims4, "The belly in pregnancy depends on the number of babies" (the former is simpler but has no equivalent to the "larger belly" option, the latter has a bit more going on but has direct equivalents to LMS's sizes, so take your pick!)
Sleep All Night and Sleep In -> Midnitetech- Stay Asleep, Mokunoid- Better Sleep Autonomy or Lot 51- Sunrise depending on desired depth/customization
Social Activities -> adeepindigo, Youth, Friends and Family Activities
Small GF Reactions Overhaul -> Bienchen, lesscelebreact
Small Laundry Overhaul -> Bienchen's laundry mods cover some (but not all- anyone have something to make it cost money on community lots?) of it, along with Lotharihoe's No Autonomously Set Laundry Down to replace the "auto put away laundry" part.
Spar With For Everyone -> Bienchen, sparwithfornonmilitary
Toddler Ask For Food No Junk -> Bienchen, healthyhighchair (not quite the same thing but it solves the "why do they always give the kid chips" issue at least)
WEE: Working Elevators Everywhere -> Ravasheen, Uplifting Elevators (space and wall height permitting, it's also possible to make no-CC elevators with the RoM debug portals!)
Wellness Treat Fix -> Bienchen, petanxiousbufffix
Also, while I wasn't using either of them myself, Meet&Mingle can replace SimDa Dating App, and Lovestruck adds a "canon" dating app (though given EA's complete lack of attention to QA etc. I wouldn't recommend paying for it.)
edit 6/26/24: added Sunrise, petanxiousbufffix, pregnantsimscandomore
edit 6/27/24: added No Bump, moved into a new post.
edit 6/29/24: added Daywalkers, No University Housing Restrictions (ty @northernnightsky!) and the sonozakisisters bump mod
edit 7/2/24: added Underworlds (ty anon), Paws & Claws, and a link to the tutorial I followed for no-CC elevators
edit 8/22/24: added Spawn Refresh

Ranking Housewarden's Shoes [Twst]
âĄď¸This is purelly based on aesthetics and if I would use them.
âĄď¸Only dorm and school uniform shoes.
âĄď¸Warning: Leona's feet.
[Overblot Shoes Ranked]
Riddleâs dorm uniform shoes: I know I made fun of them, but I'd still wear these boots even if my feet hurt at the end of the day. They look so pretty, with the golden details and the hearts on them â chef's kiss.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
2. Malleusâs dorm uniform shoes: Absolutely! These boots look so edgy and prettyâsimpler than Riddle's boots, so they're lower on the list but perfect. I can totally see myself wearing these.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
3. Idiaâs dorm uniform shoes: These boots look so pretty! If they were pink, I'd wear them religiously EVERY SINGLE DAY.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
4.Leonaâs dorm uniform shoes: They look pretty simple, seem comfortable, and like they would fit with pretty much any outfit.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
5.Malleusâs school uniform shoes: The classic shoes! I have a similar pair, so of course, I need to place these high. They can be used with so many outfits.â
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
6. Riddleâs school uniform shoes: They look weird in the image, but I can totally see what they were trying to do. They look really pretty, I like that they are also red. They are only lower than Malleusâs because they would fit with fewer outfits.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
7. Idiaâs school uniform shoes: They look kinda basic, and I feel like if they were black/grey, they would fit Idiaâs style more. Either way, I would use them.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
8. Vilâs school uniform shoes: Now, I would not use them, but they do look pretty.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
9. Azulâs school uniform shoes: They look so boring... Why brown? Azul, explain yourself. This is some old man category shoes.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
10. Leonaâs school uniform shoes: This is a crime against humanity. This is would be my overblot reason.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
11. Vilâs dorm uniform shoes: I'm so disappointed with Vilâs shoes. This man lives for fashion! What is this?? Where is the glitter? Where are the girly pop shoes? Not even a minor slay.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
12. Azulâs dorm uniform shoes: What.are.those.sock? These look so weird. I think itâs the socks.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
13. Kalimâs dorm uniform shoes: Kalim my love. No.
ââââ ââ
ââ
â ââââ
14.Kalimâs school uniform shoes: The definition of 'What are those?' Kalim, I love you so much. His school uniform is so cute, and his leg bracelet is everything, but those shoes?? Kalim, those shoes??? No.

Three years!
Hello, everyone and happy Jimlingss anniversary! Woohoo! It has been three years since my official retirement and eight years since Iâve began this blog. Thatâs absolutely crazy since it all feels like yesterday. Time flies when youâre having fun.
First and foremost, thank you to all who still send me messages and give me feedback on my stories! I do check back once in a while and read everything, so nothing goes unnoticed. Your kind words always make me miss the simpler days of writing. :â) It really gets me nostalgic.
Second, here is my yearly update!
Iâve finished my second year of law school! I finished off this year with a bang and did quite well, if I do say so myself. Thereâs one more year left to go and thatâs insane since I remember the first day so vividly. Iâm a bit sad for it to be all over â I never thought Iâd ever feel this way. But Iâve made so many friends and created so many memories. When itâs all over, everyone will be going their own path. Luckily, Iâm sure weâll remain connected and be close friends no matter what.
I donât think Iâve had such a positive experience quite like this in all my years of schooling. Iâve always been the type to just scurry on home, never liked what I was studying, and never had too many friends. So this change has been unexpected yet very welcome.
In terms of career, Iâve been working this summer and I have something lined up for when Iâm finished school! So soon Iâll be racking in the dough, wooooooo!! Letâs get it!
My family is also doing well â and I feel very fortunate for that.Â
Third, and most important, I am happy to announce that I have a boy I absolutely adore! Weâve officially been dating for four months? That seems so short on paper, but weâve known each other for close to two years! Iâm living out one of my friends to lovers fics, I swear (lol).
Heâs been a close friend since the start of law school and somewhere along the line I gradually caught feelings (of course I did lmao). I was sure rejection was on the horizon and I wanted to preserve our dear friendship, so I was trying to get over it for months by myself. This included online dating and going on a string of dates (hahaha). I ended up cracking and calling him on the phone one night, but then aborted mission. Thanks to the advice of a friend, I stopped avoiding him and being an embarrassment, and I finally confronted him. He said we should give it a shot, and here we are!
He has brown, curly hair that reminds me of a poodle. And he made me realize why love is so loved â why itâs so revered â talked about â imprinted in each otherâs minds. Everywhere. Iâve written countless love stories but never truly experienced the feeling before, and yet, heâs made the heart of my stories come to life. Heâs let me live them in real time.Â
I really hope it works out! LOL
Anyway, Iâm always happy to do these updates and for all those who may be just a bit curious enough about me to check in. Although this is a very positive update (and I hope it continues to be), my life isnât without its ups and downs either. It just seems to be in a general upwards trajectory.Â
Thank you to everyone who still remembers me, and who may still read my stories! I definitely havenât forgotten about you all, so I hope you havenât forgotten me either.
Hereâs to another year! See you again!
#I also just got two wisdom teeth removed so thatâs been not fun lol#working is mehhhh#donât think corporate life is for me but weâll see#the money is indeed alluring lol#in terms of writing i still do a bit through school for fun#I still want to write a book someday!!!#writing is still my passion#Iâm also traveling to Europe this August with my family#thatâll be fun#Jin is finished in the army?? Letâs goooo#anyway see you guys real soon!#I shall return again#Jimlingss

Hey how do you cook chicken so often. It's always a huge fucking hassle to me to prep and cook chicken and it's so expensive I usually don't bother. Is there some trick you know for making it easy?
the answer's a lot more simple than ya think. i just have a huge bag of chicken breasts in the freezer. dont remember PRECISELY how much it was, pretty sure under $25 for 10 pounds at costco, and it'll last you several weeks when cooking for one.
the only real "prep" for making it easier is, when i don't have any chicken thawed in the fridge, i take some out of the freezer and put it into a plastic bag in the fridge. then, by the next day, ive got chicken that can be cooked and eaten up in 10 minutes. while still raw, it'll stay good for 2 days refrigerated, and up to 4 if you're stupid.
the breasts are actually a little bigger than i'd like when cooking just for myself, so while they're still frozen i find their middle and split them in half on the hard corner of my kitchen counter.
before seasoning, pat down the breast with a paper towel to get excess moisture off. it'll cook more evenly and make seasoning stick easier. i only use salt and pepper before cooking because im lazy and spiceless (poor), but you can definitely use herbs and whatnot when cooking. also smash down some of the thicker bits of the meat with the bottom of a cup or a mallet if you've got one. as long as the breast isn't thicker than, say, the width of your index finger, it'll cook through very easily, mostly in its own juices. otherwise you'll have a harder time cooking it evenly, though it can still be done. it just takes longer and might not look as nice.
pan-frying is as easy as putting in a splash of olive oil (not a ton, just enough for the breast to rest in), and cooking for 5 to 7 minutes on both sides, depending on how brown you want it. this is on medium-high heat, so i set my stove's little heat dial to 6 or 7.
for reference, the meal i made today (chicken breast, hashbrown, fried kale) was prepared in about 15ish minutes, including prepping the chicken and getting it on the pan, which was done first cuz it takes the longest to cook. the hashbrowns cooked on the far side of the pan away from the chicken, and the kale in my air fryer for 3 minutes. the chicken came off the pan first, and i let it rest for a few minutes while i let the hashbrowns finish cooking.
it sounds like a lotta work, but sincerely the most tedious thing about cooking with chicken is thawing it out, so having a few single-person servings of chicken in the fridge makes the whole process much simpler.
make sure that you're wiping down surfaces and utensils that the chicken touches while still raw, and try not to let any of the other foods at all. salmonella is easily avoidable, but still no joke.

helloo! okay this might be a long request so buckle up. idea for spencer based off of my day; let it be know that i relate to spence, even if I have a "low" iq, what i mean is, I ramble. and watching people shut down spencer when he's about to rant always made me sad (obviously). but i realized it's because that happens to me. I'm a very geeky person so i get passionate and i understand why people would shut me down (still hurts tho). but today one of my friends asked a question it was about simpler animals and what the difference was. me loving animals and knowing the answer, well I spoke up but immediately got talked over about something not relevant. my real idea is, what if spencer had someone that rambled with him and appreciated his rants. like i think it'd be cute and they don't have to rant about the same thing, just both like in the corner talking absurdly fast together. and the team probably rolling their eyes. maybe??? (sorry if it was to personal) hope you have a great dayyy!!
Hiii lovely, ty for the requestđ!! Hope this is okay, warnings: fluff, like one pet name (0.6k)
Sometimes Hotch kind of regrets hiring you (not really, you're a great addition to the team and everybody loves you), but when he sees you and Spencer together, the thought crosses his mind.
What he really does regret, is putting your desk and Spencer's desk next to each other. Big, big, big mistake.
You and Spencer are hunched over something at your desk, talking very quickly, as you two often do. Hotch finds your conversations, against his better judgement, cute. But not when he's trying to start a meeting and you two can't seem to notice.
He and the team see this on a regular basis, it's nothing new, that you and Spencer talk and talk about something, anything, completely in your own world.
Your conversations are still the same just like the first time, you and Spencer met. Maybe they got even worse. You two can ramble on and on for hours like it's nothing.
And you love it. You love talking to Spencer. The topic of your conversation is never a problem, you can talk about anything and nothing at the same time.
Just the fact, that you can talk to each other without being talked over, interrupted or hushed down is everything to you and to him.
Spencer feels the same. He loves talking to you. Your sweet, sweet voice makes it even better. He loves even just listening to you talk, it's maybe his favourite thing in the world.
Especially, when you two talk about the most silly, random stuff, while lying in the bed late at night. Chuckling and rambling without a care in the world. Maybe he loves it so much, because the team doesn't know about it. It's like something sacred between just you and him.
That's definitely his happy place, just you two having a quiet conversations with sleepy voices.
"Spence, have you read this book before?" you ask, pointing at the book lying on your desk.
"Oh," Spencer's face lights up with recognition," I have. It's really good, right?"
"I don't know, I haven't started it yet. I want to, but I can't bring myself to read it after a day full of work," you say to Spencer.
"I-I could read it to you?" he hesitantly offers.
"Spence, it's almost 800 pages long...." you chuckle at his offer.
"I don't mind," he quickly responds.
You think about it, but not for too long. You don't really need convincing, not when it comes to Spencer.
"Well, okay then. But only if you really want to," you give him a smile.
"I want to," he reassures you," and i do have some suggestions...."
"Like what?"
"Like books, that are similar to this. If you like this one, I could lend them to you-" Spencer's fast rambling gets interrupted, but not by you, never by you.
"Yo, lovebirds, we'd be very happy to let you talk about whatever nonsense you're talking about, but we all want to have this meeting over with. So if you'd be so kind to join us, that'd be nice," Derek basically yells at you from the conference room's doorway, making everybody in the room look at you and Spencer.
Your cheeks go a bit pink at Derek's words, you haven't realised that they were waiting on you and Spencer.
"Relax Derek, we're coming," Spencer says back loudly, " come on sweetheart, let's go there before they get mad at us," Spencer tells you, rolling his eyes over Derek's words.
"We'll talk about the book more later, yeah?" Spencer promises.
"Later?"
"I could come over tonight?" Spencer unsurely proposes.
"That'd be great, I'd love that," you'd never pass an opportunity to spend time with Spencer and getting to listen to him talk.
Somebody would maybe find reading to each other boring, but you and Spencer would never. It's like your love language.
