Will never stop thinking about how Leo, all alone in an endless void and being beaten again and again and again by the only other living thing around, still finds comfort in that space. The situation he was in was completely hopeless, and in any other circumstances he would not have escaped, at least not fast enough to save him from permanent (or even fatal) damage, be it physical or mental.

And yet, despite the bleakness of his situation, despite the agony and helplessness, all he needs is one glance at a crumbled photograph, one glance to remember his family, and that’s enough of a reason for him to smile.

Maybe that’s why his powers center around manipulating space - because no matter how much space is between them, no matter how dire his own situation may be, just the thought of his family, alive and okay, is enough to give Leo hope.

Currently considering how the first time Daniel is presumed dead Jack broke a window because of how helpless he felt. The way he remembered Daniel screaming for his help, not being able to do anything before it was too late. That really got to him. I think being helpless to the death in his life is a constant theme for Jack that he's always had to accept and sit with and try not to break windows over every day.

So I think it's really fitting and touching that when Daniel really died (ascended, but for all intents and purposes, was dying), when he was dying painfully, hopelessly, in front of all his loved ones- He asked Jack for help, he gave Jack the honor of helping him pass on, trusted him, gave him the opportunity to say goodbye that Jack never, Never seems to be allowed.

~ A familiar face ~ Been wanting to put my own interpretation of older Elizabeth down to paper and finally got around to do so. Personally headcanon that she wears wigs for her performances and while extravagant on stage she likes to have a more "homely" look when she's not in her role as the blue lady. A good way to keep her private and professional life separated. Also wanted to, first of all, draw the best girl actually smiling for once, we need more smiling Lizzy T3T. But of course also needed to add the second portrait for more angsty headcanons: I imagine that she has "episodes". They happen either close before or after one of the loops. Most of the time she becomes vacant, thousand yard stare, only making occasional noises. But she also has louder outbursts, usually alone in her home, shouting about things that no one else see and crying out names of people that no one around her seems to know. Slowly shaping the eepy girl with fics and art and I love it <3

Using his time with Jay and Chip asking questions, and offering answers in return, so they at least won’t be caught unprepared if he dies with all the things they wanted to say - and using the opportunity to ask them about the little things. Chip’s favorite flavor, Jay’s favorite animal, what they love and what he loves too. Laying on that table when they make it to Featherbrooke, May Ferrin talking to him like he’s not dying at all, trying to keep him awake, keep him comfortable, and all he can talk about is Chip and Jay. There was nothing more important than imparting their knowledge, no other final words he might have wanted to share, because they are what is most important to him. All the little things that make up who he loves. He thought he was going to die, was dying, and he talked about raspberries, purely for the fact that it’s Chip’s favorite flavor.
