Say hello to Kingdom of the Local Anthill!

Say hello as well to my first micronation oc post, hopefully of many hehe

Also if youre here from the poland tag, this is a polish micronation, so, feliks child feliks child

Sadly, i was only able to find information on this micronation through the microwiki page, since i couldnt find any other pages for it. Any help on finding out more would be very much appriciated!

So! About Pietr! Immediately i will say, i chose the name purely because it sounded nice, any input on better names would also very much be appriciated! But for this post, i'll be sticking with Pietr

Once again, since there isnt that much info i could find on the micronation, for his personality i kind of hima'd it (aka, just bullshitted it)

He's cheery, literally a one year old, as the micronation announced its independance only a little over a year ago, but he tries his hardest to seem older, and cant say his age without adding that technically the anthill has existed since the 1950s, so he'd be the oldest in the group (and then gets glared at by seborga)

He tries to be very formal in his way of speaking, but struggles a bit with that, as he tries to copy what the macronations around him say, and the main one is Feliks, so he's mistakingly integrated a lot of slang into his hyper-formal way of speaking. (Hutt River and Molossia help him with that)

He takes his role as a personification very seriously, so seriously that he often will point out if something around his house could hurt or bother the ants! He has made feliks "throw out" anything that has a scent that ants dont like (he still has everything, just doesnt use it in front of pietr) and acts offended and as if he dislikes the scent as well (he actually enjoys lots of the scents, but thinks he'd be bad at his job if he admitted it)

Of course, he will start telling ant facts to anyone that he sees, and talks a lot about them with the micronation group

In his little backpack (made by eduard, nobody can tell otherwise) he carries everything that his overly worried family makes him bring around: bandaids, disinfectant, a snack just in case, and of course, his Carpenter Ant Plushie(TM)

Onto how everyone around feels about him, his family loves him, he's the little baby, and they all try their best of raising him.

Feliks and Tolys are trying to parent, and doing fine somehow? They bring him everywhere, and listen to him ramble about ants for hours (Tolys asks enough questions to keep him going on and on)

Eduard is the cool older brother, he brings him places when tolys and feliks are busy, and makes him stuffed animals and wooden toys (i have a stupid little headcanon that eduard really likes sewing and just making stuff in general)

Raivis is,,,,trying? He's already friends with most of the micronations, so he often accompanies him to the meetings, but he doesnt really know how to act around him, so whenever they talk he doesnt really say much, and mostly listens. (Once again, i have a headcanon that raivis is trying to figure out how the aging process works, so he's probably waiting to see how quickly he ages and also praying that he doesnt become older than him one day)

His closest friends in the micronation group are probably Hutt River, as he looks to him for advice on how to be a proper prince, he would ask Seborga but my personal version of him is not the friendliest*, Republic of Toku, and Rose Island (other micronation ocs i might maybe talk about in the future, for now just know that one is a space nerd, and the other is a fish nerd)

*I have completely different characters for seborga and molossia, and might change hutt river a bit as well, i will make sure to share them in the future!

Outside of his family and the micronation group, he doesnt really know many other people, since he's just a toddler

i match you w adam dudley !! okay, okay, hear me out. adam is v harsh + an asshole at face value, but once you get to know him, he’s an absolute sweetie pie. he’s protective, he’s caring, still not super kind, but he shows it in his own ways. his potty mouth + closed mindedness only comes w his age of immaturity, but i can see him becoming way more intelligent + respectful as he ages. like fine wine, baby.

he’s not really one to get easily offended since he has a bit of a god complex so anyone’s insults will just kinda slide right off of him. he also really loves to tease + bully so he knows that if he dishes it, he’s gotta be able to take it, as well. you could probably make little quips at each other for an entire day without either of you actually hurting feelings + you’d just have a great time.

he is very touchy, though, and wouldn’t necessarily care if you hate being touched. if y’all are dating, hopefully you don’t mind it + actually crave it, but if he knows it’s something you hate, he’ll only do it to annoy you. he shows his affection by being annoying so take this a compliment 🙂

Idk if thats a genuine question or if your intentions just to caluminate🙄 i really don't get people that don't like something and instead of just minding their own damn business decide to go out of their way and try to make others miserble🤡

Anyways, for the possibility that the question is actually just of pure curiosity I'll answer it, might also help others who are wondering.

So, i believe anyone can read based on their own morals and comfort level - if the intentions of the reader are pure there isn't any harm being done. This means for example if a certain reader reads not because they are just curious but because they are madly in love (obsessed) with a certain idol and genuinely want to invade their privacy with their nasty energy to know if they're dating or not. And then interpret it in a twisted way cuz of their obsessiveness.

Another point being, when you read at home about your siblings, or a friend, or how ur crush feels about you etc - aren't you reading on someone without their "consent"? I doubt you go around to people asking them if you can read tarot about them and if you do sry but ur weird - this would cause them more discomfort if you just done ur reading in peace. And why is that?

Because energy is SMART!!!!!! Ive said it before and Ill say it again - YOU CANT ACCESS ENERGY THE OWNER DOESNT WANT YOU TO ACCESS!!!!!!!!!

Or maybe you could try, cuz you don't know any boundaries - that would be harassment of the individual then, yeah. But just tapping into energy thats already there is not any different than seeing. Like you deciding to put glasses on to read better or whatever. Feeling energy is an innate gift we all have and im doing nothing different than that, the tarot is just to help me focus on certain aspects as to not get overwhelmed. Its not some sort of witchcraft or something i have to force or go out of my way to do! Because it comes naturally, not only to me but to every person on earth. Its just in your hands how much u want to develop that sense.

And as for the idols, I've also said that before, but ill say it again if i must - I've noticed their energy being much much eager to talk than mundane people in my life. Why - i assume because they habe so little freedom and opportunity to actually express themselves and be true to themselves. Every individual craves to be authentic - and I've come to believe readings might even be in a way therapeutic for certain idols' energy (not the idol itself!!!! Their energy!) and at the end of the day they are public figures - they are bound to be in peoples thoughts, mouths and to incite curiosity and...other stuff. They are public! And they know what they chose. There's boundaries of course don't get me wrong - stuff like stalking, useless hate etc is just not ok for ANYONE!!! But some gossip, some readings, some thirsting etc - those are harmless and don't impact the idol in any way CUZ THEY DONT KNOW US!!! Not to mention i believe readings like that actually can really help with an idols image/treatment since those just humanize them and take people out of their delulu bubbles (hopefully) which makes for a much humaner treatment in my opinion.

So yeah i talked a lot about many different topics and to finish off and to answer the actual question - im not chronically online and i don't blindly follow what people yap about on the bandwagon. Im also really not into the whole "don't offend me cuz im a snowflake and will break down at the smallest inconvenience". So I'd tell you that i don't really know. I learned tarot long time ago, i still follow some quality people i resonate with and most importantly i follow my own heart and my own logic and my own morals. And what this or that community thinks isn't really my problem because i have a head on my shoulders and can decide for themselves. And if it actually was so frowned upon, then maybe there wouldn't have been so many tarot reader blogs and channels🤡

Chenford/Lucy analytic rant at 4 AM

Long rant, I apologise in advance if u disagree or dont care because u are so fanatically addicted to chenford u cant see the forest for the trees or are in such denial u refuse to aknowledge what is right in front of ur nose. Hope is good, I have it too, and I pray for them, and will wait and see, and give it the benefit of the doubt.

But I will not be silent, because it offends ur comfort show, which btw is also mine. I dare say I love chenford more than anyone and they are all I think about since finding the show 5 months ago after rewatching Dark Matter for the third time.

If u dont like 'negativity' which is how s6 actually went down, and prefer to remain in denial and not aknowledge what we have been shown in all of s6 so far, what Alexi has said in interviews, what Alexi has done in previous work that broke up Castle's beloved couple too, then just ignore it pls.

I grow tired of seing all ur twitter posts about wanting to block posts about anything negative about chenford and wanting to block those ppl. Do it! It doesnt make it less true, and we are hurting JUST AS MUCH as u are, probably more, because we see it and u prefer not to. Which will only lead to an even bigger heartbreak in the end, or worse. Aknowledge it, dont ignore it.

You might want to block all the posts and comments saying all the bad about what happened and what Alexi did to chenford, and us, and not want to hear anything opposing ur strong belief that because chenford sat in a car together or Tim tells Lucy he will be kind to her back which in ur eyes 500% mean THEY ARE SO BACK TOGETHER OMG OMG THEY ALMOST KISSED OMG OMG. Sry but I think a lot of us want to just do the same by now, because that shit hurts to see and its clear u dont get them from a mature and real point of view.(oh to be young and in love again)

Thats not what happened, and we are doing chenford, expecially Lucy, and dishonour by pretending otherwise, in the name of hope.

Hope is good, I have it too and hope Im wrong in some things, but s6 spoke a lot of truths, and everything I predicted has come true so far, in the show and behind the scenes that cant be ignored and deserve to be recognised so that Alexi hopefully fix it all in s7 and onwards, instead of repeating D.B and Weiss' GoT fuckup or continue with the woke hollywoods 'Hitchhikers guide how to create the biggest gasp and cause the most hurt, and most importantly Confusion and Inconsistancy'.

There are real ppl with feelings behind the screens, pls remember that. Goes for both sides!

I mean no hurt or disrespect to anyone, but dont invalidate mine, or half the fandoms ' feelings and views on what really happened and why its happening pls because u wish to not see what happened because it hurts.

It does hurt, Im depressed and know what its like better than anyone and have been through a LOT in real life and have seen a lot of fandom couples get killed off or break apart. So I know what I see when I see it!

Every post I see about 'they are SO bk together omg they almost kissed, omg Tims 'kindness' line was sooo sweet and such a love declaration', I scroll past, fast. I dont want to see it, That is MY comfort zone u just stepped on, pls see both sides :)

Dont make public posts but then hate on any 'negative' comments u get, because u prefer to remain in ur happy place. All u do it hurt half the fandom that does not agree with u and split us up. This goes both ways, dont be mean just to be mean, let them be happy and positive unless its seomthing that really needs attention. Alr most dont bother anymore because u just dont seem to want to admit what u really saw and what Alexi's INTENTIONS were. Its very hurtful tbh and all it does is make ppl stop voicing their oppinions, both good and bad. Ofc downright rude and mean posts and comments should be removed, but pls dont make public posts if u dont want honest oppinions, or expect newcomers to know u dont want it if they dont know u.

You might feel hurt by our take on things, but we feel the same about urs. You might want to remain positive, great so do I, but I also guard my heart and I dont ignore what is obvious or stay silent so our side dont get heard too. By not voicing it and AKNOWLEDGING it, Alexi gets a free pass for future seasons repeat performance. And thats not ok!

It might be that Alexi do a 360 for the fun of it and fix it all in s7 and prove us 'nonbelievers' wrong, but what we saw in s6 was NOT what the denial and comfort zoners saw. Its just not. Perhaps on the surface but not beneath where it matters.

By ignoring what we saw in s6 u disrespect and devalue everything that came b4, as well as chenford.

We can be in our happy place and still pretend and hope for the best, but dont ignore it or say it didnt happen when it did. Its ok to want to be in ur happy place and keep our comfort show intact, I still am and have despite seing what is there for the eyes to behold. But by not aknowledging it and wanting to shut down every negative or opposing oppinion, u help ensure an even greater heartbreak later on if they choose to take that turn which is very likely. because u mislead and essentialy create false hope, when instead it should be rephrased into posible outcome instead of plausible deniability.

That doesnt mean u should hack down every denial post living in pretend land, dont be mean, let them have their happyplace and hope, I want it too, but dont make public posts saying 'omg almost kissed' and then get mad if we remind u that no, they really didnt. It doesnt work that way, it just makes it worse tbh.

My feelings based on all the various twitter and tumblr posts since the finale, from no particular individual but all chenford tags that I payed notice to and have seen others pay notice to who have stopped speaken up because u yell at us to shut up in 5 gifs daily.

Not validating our take and what really happened is the same as what Tim has been doing all s6, not validating and respecting Lucy.

Tim is no longer our Tim and has been disrespectful, careless, indifferent and and even mean to Lucy in s6. Something we NEVER would have seen in previous seasons. It is, as Northsky7 wrote, completely inconsistant and out of character for Tim what he has said and done in s6. NO his mental health and 'growth' excuse has nothing to do with this, its just how Alexi wanted to write it just because he can and think we want drama and that Lucy should be 'challenged', and to head us into a 'will they wont they' era of pining, which no chenford fan said they wanted After they got together, finally, after 5 years. That we miss the pining era doesnt = lets break them apart and start over lol. I mean..

I too dont give a fart about how much 'kindness' Tim will give her in s7 , if he cant mature, respect Lucy, truly apologise for the massive hurt he caused her cause without still having talked to her, it matters not. I will never like Tim the way I did b4 after what they made him do. I too have a very hard time picturing how they will make this right again, and shallow 'kindness' lines or Lucy saying 'water under the bridge lets move on' will NOT count. I will dislike him more and more for each episode of silence. I alr dislike Nyla, John and Angela more and more for each episode in s6, for being so uncharactaristically mean and indifferent and unsupportive to Lucy. Which still hasnt been aknowledged, and Lucy continues to be used as a doormat for the sake of Tims 'mental health growth'. Mel said somewhere that Lucy has other friends outside of work to lean on also in defense of this. Does she?? Because we havent seen them. We havent seen anyone support her and be there for her in the entire s6. If we dont SEE it, it didnt happen. Even what Grey said to her when they wrote together was just more icing on the cake tbh. He basically just said 'yeah go tell that to Tim instead wont u'. What?!? Again, was that it?? Thats not being supportive either, its a poorly written script line to further step on Lucy and not agree with and support her feelings. But the fandom loved it, sucked it up raw like it was mothers milk straight from the tit.

In all previous seasons the team has been there for each other, we have SEEN it, on work and off work.

We didnt see a single scene with anyone supporting, truly supporting, Lucy that season, just for the fun of it it seems, Alexi? Lets destroy the most emotianal and empathetic character in the show just to create tension and drama cause thats what the generic audience like to see? Said no one, ever.

Remember Nolan stopping by after Celina moved in? Again, 0 support from him, he basically just rolled his eyes and didnt seem to care. This was SO out of character for Nolan. In all previous seasons he would be there for her 100%, hug her, talk to her. And Angela calling her about Mad Dogs death? How Lucy said, in almost utter disbelief, that Angela was calling her. Her? Why on earth would Angela be calling Lucy, sure that makes sense, its not like they are friends and have gone out b4, so why on earth would Angela be calling Lucy?Making it sound like its not a normal thing to do ever. It just further isolate Lucy and they want us to see, to FEEL he pain and that she is alone, because thats what she is now.

I am close to the point of not caring about Nyla, John and Angela, almost hating them tbh, because we havent seen any aknowledgement of how and why they treated her like that, and it seems to just all be water under the bridge and she brushed it off and moved on. And I used to love them so much.

When she in no way should have brushed it off, it was mean, and downright cruel. But they want to dehumanise and desentisize Lucy because she cares too much, is too empathetic and is the shows real star, not Fillian, and that just wont do!

Remember Angela and Nylas fun phone scene? Where normally I would have laughed about it and felt good?

I didnt. All I did was say out loud 'are u kidding me'.

The elevator scene after Lucy and Tim hugs and they step out to be greeted by Angela and Nyla, who says they need her for a case. No asking, no 'can u pls help us' no it was a 'we are detectives now so we rule over u come here and do our bidding low human'.

Then when Lucy who gives it her all not just on working hours but also off, had set up numerous identities for UC work that took a long time, to use one for the op, this could have been a superb time for Nyla and Angela to aknowledge her good work and praise her, just a little bit. Just a tiny bit, we dont ask for much tbh!

The old Nyla pre s6 would have said something there.

But it was skipped over, like so many other important 'should have been' scenes and lines because the season was so short, and they instead wanted to focus on the most boring couple (sry but its true) Bailey and John and they very sudden and rushed kid sprout storyline that took up time that should have been spent on more important stuff, like sayd, perhaps a short scene of Tim talking to his therapist so we can SEE his process?

Alexi: And so I think we just need to keep challenging her and and navigating her profesional and personal life, while he what he does what hes got to do .

Okay? Why does she needs to be challenged exactly? Does it have to be done like it was done, tearing her down like that, and us with it? No, it really didnt. You can challenge her without destroying her entire character ffs.

Alexi: And then also just, how do they find their way back to each other

You tell me, I legit cant see it anymore unless u unfuck Tims charcter ASAP, and I mean in the first episode in s7, it doesnt have to take longer for Tim to apologize, show us he means it, show us therapy scene and then him falling to his fucking knees to beg for her forgiveness. Nothing less will suffice by now tbh!

Eric was right tho when he said Tim needs help, and his story needs more bkground, he absolutely does. But not this way, not while simultaniously destroying his character by making him inconsistant, disrespectfull, indifferent, and UNkind.

It was so very badly executed and poorly written, I just cant get over how anyone can think this was wholesome and done well. Sadly it dont seem like u can hire a new writer and Alexi runs the show, but I suppose we can hope the rest of the team listens and demands he steps up, and stop hurting his fanbase.

No personal hate, only professionally.

Instead they also toss in 15 new bad guys on a mission that made no sense, that I could not follow and did not give a flying squirrel about tbh. Because it didnt make sense, and because the time should have been spent on chenfords process instead. Even if I wasnt a chenford fan I would say the same.

Tims bday cart and the song fixed it a little, made him look like he felt bad. But I think mainly because the fandom called it out and wanted Kojo back and Lucys bday stuff. But it was so left and right, I got a whiplash from trying to keep up with their choices in each episode that keep contradicting what they have previous said, done and felt.

Even their dance scene early in after they made up and Lucy tells Tim she loves him, I didnt like it. Unpopular oppinion Im sure, but I didnt like it. It felt off.

It felt off, shallow, the editing was cut badly and didnt clip in well, and it just really felt superficial and not REAL, and was all so RUSHED, with the way they said it, and the lines they gave us.

Tim loves her, no doubt about it. But enough I wonder now too, because u just cant do what hes done, and still seem to be doing after they broke up without talking to her, tell her all she needs to know, let her help him and man up and actively seek therapy, and not just a second after Grey tells him he needs to fix it or he will be moved to another station. Tim needs to reliase he loves her and RESPECTS her, and fast, or they will loose half the fanbase and there will be no s8!

That therapy with London also doesnt really count, it made it look like a last minute forced descision from Tim because he was ordered to, when he in all ways should have sought that out himself by that point. Or we should have seen him 'break down' instead of just being indifferent?!?

Then in the car in the finale, after everything they have been through together, after he hurt her like that and knows she wants to talk about it, after he has been to therapy with London and hopefully grown up a little bit more and since he says she did help him realise some things, the one line he can give her when she asks him if he told her anything about Lucy, is that shes a 'freak in the sheets'. I mean, what?!? Did he seriously just further prove he hasnt learned anything after the breakup, still cant be honest with her and tell her maybe something like 'yeah that u are amazing and have been trying to help me and blablabla', AND again just seem to joke around the serious issue and seeming indifferent, again, and just calls her a 'freak in the sheets' ?!?

I wanted to SLAP him for that. And I love Tim, and Lucy, so that was just a slap in my own face instead tbh! :( Not only does that sexualise her and all of the above I just wrote, but its so out of character and RUDE considering their situation and feelings. Just to please the fanfiction fandom with that line? For all the E and M rated fics? Thats not what we want! Sure it would have been a nice bonus but not as the main story line. We want Tim to grow some balls and TALK TO HER, not further invalidate her feelings by continuing to ignore them and give her a bullcrab line about 'kindness'.

And Lucy saying 'u dont have to do this', eh what, excuse me?? Yes he does? Yes he fucking so does? All is by gones now or what? Its ok what he did? No its fucking not grr. Dont disregard him needed to talk to her and explain himself just because time has passed omg, that wont work in the long run. Arent Lucy a psych major, with 2 therapists for parents?? It hasnt come in handy so far.

This show can do 20 seasons easily! Its better than all the other similar shows, has only great memorable and fun characters and, despite the really poor writing which is full of plotholes and flawed timelines, it has good stories and archways too, that is when they dont push some big conspiracy plot thats rushed through in 2 episodes with so many new characters we have no clue is, then to end.

But it needs less plotholes and they need to make baylan more interesting and fix chenford. And for gods sake stop posing Nolan as a superhero so much, its too much and overly done by now its getting annoying to watch and ruins his character!

Like that finale where he toppled some FBI dude over and ran off, with none of said FBI dudes tried to stop him, despite being in clear violation of 911 laws and putting everything at risk and proving he hasnt learned anything in the past years about recklessness? Bro… Pls.. Stop.

I legit skipped that part, I facepalmed myself in real life and zipped ahead, it was annoying to watch, then it made me sad because how the writers keep ruining it all.

And give Bailey less screentime, even Luna barely has any and she is far better overall?Also isnt she a firefighter? Which morphed into her being some top emergency ambulance doctor out on every single scene more or less? Huh?

And yes the writing IS bad, its very poor writing. But we still love it, for the most part and will continue to watch because its great in so many ways, its my favourite show in a long time.

The first 2 seasons were amazing, the best!

Season 3 was a huge woke propeganda focussed bs, but chenford was great at least.

From there is went downhill, but still with so many great scenes and chenford ofc. But overall, it gets worse and worse and s6 I pretend never existed. I dont even go bk and rewatch the episodes, hardly even the chenford ones cause it was so broken and uncharactaristic. It just hurts to watch.

But we only continue to watch if they correct course, stop creating death and gore (GoT reference), confusion and drama for the sake of death and gore, confusion and drama. We also dont like the term 'shock effect' very much, its a rude word. We also dont want u to depict real relationships that struggle, used as excuse to create whatever the fuck s6 was. Or anything else so its politically corrrect and woke enough, keep that shit out of our comfort shows.

I have so much more but Im on my way to bed and just wanted this off my chest.

Sry for ranting at 4 AM but half the fandom is hurting, maybe worse, and nothing, NOTHING Alexi or the rest of the cast has said so far has made >me< feel any sense of relief and real hope for chenford so far. Especially not Alexis seemingly careless take on what we want and how he completely torn down the best characters in the show.

I say careless because thats what they are. Remember the pregnancy test image they chose to release for promo pic? Or the scene where Tim 'proposed' and didnt seem to see what he did there that hurt Lucy as well? How can Tim be so careless there as well, it didnt make sense for him. But they chose to do this to fool us with false hope, knowing full well how it turned out.I t was a hurtfull mockery when u look back on it tbh.

I want a s7 too, as many as they will give us as long as chenford is there. But NOT if its gonna be another mocking bullying shitfest like s6 was with deteriorating writing, then I rather go without and remember the first 5 seasons and go to fancfiction from there.

PS Nyla has information on her computer stored for 5 years that could lock Monica up for good. Just, u know, saying, in case the writers forgot..

definitely uncomfortable to have a chunk of screentime devoted to lesbophobic comedy in a show with a very big lesbian audience, even if the point was to criticize it and demonstrate deborah's beliefs which we were already aware of.

howeverrrrrrr the sexuality conversation she had with ava and the fact that we're actually getting screentime devoted to deborah's views and societal conditioning about these things makes me hopeful about where it might go regarding her own sexuality and general development.

if we continue getting to go down that route then the cringe i felt this episode was a bearable step toward it; esp because honestly most of the discomfort was me cringing at deborah bombing on stage than being offended by the jokes.

and i think the kind they intentionally used the kind of jokes they did (rooted more in assuming heterosexuality & general misogyny, even with the direct lesbian stereotyping) to be able to walk that line. they've gotta stay true to where deborah's at, which they do in all other areas, but also not alienate the reigning demographic of their audience.

it's easier to watch deborah being a horrific person when that awfulness isn't being directed toward you, the target audience, but despite how uncomfortable it was to watch (mainly because of the cringe!) i think the writers made it bearable enough, especially if it's a step toward a bigger payoff.

Breaking news: local artist finally finishes another fic he started and actually tried his best ( also breaking news: i actually write fics, i just dont finish many of them :') )

Anyways here is a little thing i wrote ( quite badly but i tried ) about the Idea of "Dream is small but he still get to keep his memories"

Pain, thats all Dream felt for a moment, he twisted and shifted, trying to make the pain go away, even If It was for a while, It was also really dark too, he has no Idea what Night made him drink, but he doesnt feel good.

He felt panic as he noticed his conscience slipping away, as he panicked around, he felt a huge pain going through his entire body as he fainted.

…

After moments, he woke up again, as he slowly got up, he kept hissing at the pain that still jolted through his entire body:

-"Ugh, this sucks" thought the little guardian, "I wonder what Night gave me", as he thought, he opened his eyes slowly and blinked a few times before brushing his hands on his face to try and stir himself more awake, but he swears his hands felt...different.

As he opened his eyes, he took a glimpse at his hands, his tiny gloved hands looked smaller than usual, he turned around slowly to find his oversized clothes laying around him, and the clothes he was wearing weirdly looked like the clothes he wore when he was younger, as the realization crept in, Dream slowly realized what just happened, as panic began to grow inside him, he nervously touched his own hand and face while searching for a mirror.

It didnt take long before he found a small, partially broken mirror laying around the room he was in:

-"...It's becoming increasily obvious...I can deny It no longer…"

And, with a tired and defeated breath, Dream spurted out:

-"I am small"

Dream sat back while crossing his arms, how on earth would he even survive here with this size? he needed to come up with a solution fast, before anyone dangerous come-

*click*

Dream's eyes widen at the sound of the door being opened, as he panicked inside, he quickly jumped somewhere to hide, and for now, he needed to be careful to not be spotted.

-"Ugh, now to see how Dream is-"

Night paused, looking at the clothes laying around, It was silent, too silent, he walked over and grabbed a fistfull of Dream's present cape as he began searching for any trace of Dream, but his expression slowly began changing from a calm and neutral face to a worried and panicked one, he moved on from the clothes and began to search around the room, Dream cant be dead right? It was only a magic repressor he gave him after all.

Dream quietly watched from afar, and with a determined face, began to crept closer to Nightmare, ready to jump out and hopefully succeed to escape, a moment passed before Night got a surprise attack from a screaming skeleton toddler, he climbed Night in a rush while he was trying to get Dream out with force, and eventually, the guardian was caught by one of Nightmare's tentacles, as the cyan eye began analizing him, Dream tried to angrily break out of the tentacle's grasp, constantly trying to bite and punch It, It was quickly getting tiring.

Night watched the toddler scream and struggle silently, his face with an serious expression, Dream quickly looked at him angrily and tiredly as he spoke out:

-"Night...I will..ugh...I will break free, let...let me go"

Night listened silently and looked to the side like he was thinking, and with a wide grin, Night answered Dream's request:

-"...no"

Dream gave a tired sigh at the response as the silence between them remained, well, until a particular oreo came in the room in a rush:

-"Night are you ok? I heard screaming-"

Cross paused and stared at the scene, Night holding a toddler that looked like Dream on his tentacles and the toddler looking defeated and tired, It also looked so dirty too, Cross looked at Night silently and confused, Night sighed as he started:

-"Cross, believe It or not, this is Dream...yeah, i know its confusing, and i dont exactly know what happened to him, but trust me, its him"

The toddler tiredly looked up at the ex-royal guard, and shot him a tired but "ready-to-attack" glare, he knew he couldnt actually do much, but he could at least try.

Cross quickly spoke up:

-"...ok? Soooo you have no Idea what happened to him and he is just a toddler now", Night nodded calmly as the toddler looked seriously to the side, at this point, Dream just wanted to sleep, or at least take a nap, and the tentacle had a really tight grip so struggling was quite Impossible.

Night glared at Dream and gently approached him with a wide grin on his face, as Dream looked at him motherfuckerly:

-"awwww, the little kid right here wants to take a nap?" Said Night mockingly.

"No, i dont, let me go Night" spat Dream rudely.

"Not happening little pal, you're staying here until i decide what to do with you" grinned Night maliciously

Dream stayed silent at Night's response, but still kept glaring angrily at Night.

-"anyways, perhaps we should introduce our new pal here to the rest of the team since It might take a while for us to decide what to do, shall we?"

-"yeah, sure"

As Night walked towards the door, Dream looked at Cross with such a serious look that surprised Cross a little, he didnt expect the toddler to suddenly look at him while he follows Night, Cross glared at Dream back, but this only seemed to make Dream look offended, they both kept "fighting" with shooting each other daring and sometimes offensive looks.

-"stop hitting me!"

Cross was having a hard time with bathing Dream, it seems that the little guy wouldnt give up so soon, It would be a miracle If he even behaved a little, but everytime Cross tried, Dream kept hitting him as hard as he can, and he also seemed very panicked whenever Cross succesfully held him, and then resorted to squirming and throwing water at him, honestly, Cross just wishes this would end soon.

-"I will not stop fighting!, leave me alone at once foul wench!"

Cross looked at him silently as Dream looked back with equal seriousness, they both stayed in silence until Cross handed him the soap and the sponge, as Cross tiredly got up to leave, Dream whispered at him silently:

-"......thank you"

Cross looked back at him with a questioning look, as Dream seemed to ignore the glare, he silently looked away as he left the bathroom, but not before whispering back:

-"......yeah...no problem"

Cross was eating his dinner happily, well, until Night requested him to call Dream for dinner, since he didnt come down from his room for a while, Cross lazily walked towards the room Dream was given, and then knocked on the door a few times:

-"Dream? You there buddy? Come eat dinner, hope you like soup"

The bedroom stayed silent, Cross knocked a few more times:

-"ok buddy listen, im not joking, Night is telling me to come and get you to get down for dinner"

A faint shuffling was heard from inside the bedroom, Cross waited a while before deciding to turn around the doorknob and opening the door.

All he saw was a little toddler cuddling to the blanket It was given, It looked rather happy and comfy there, but It quickly opened his eyes to stare at Cross, and in turn, shift to sit on the comfy bed he was on:

-"ah, you have returned, welcome back" greeted Dream tiredly.

Cross stared at him confused, why would he even greet him after all of the chaos that happened today, perhaps he was so tired that he gave up on the thought of attacking him? Well, If thats the case, then at least he wont have to deal with a angry Dream.

Cross approached Dream slowly and quite cautiously, as Dream looked at him boredly, the blanket he was holding was quite fluffy though.

-"um, ok so, Night told me to get you to come down for dinner, now answer me, do you like soup?"

-"...hmmmm yeah sure, soup is nice"

-"uh right"

The silence was quite awkward, Dream seemed like he calmed down, but there was still a bit of cautiousness in him, seems like they werent getting his trust so soon.

-"...so, will you come down?"

Dream looks down, thinking carefully and silently before a grumbling sound coming from his stomach (???) broke the silence, Dream got spooked by the sudden sound and made a scared squeak because of It.

As Dream took some time to calm down from the sudden spook, he slowly stared at Cross:

-"...fine, I'll come down"

-"good, follow me, or dont, its your choice"

As Cross made his way to the door, Dream quickly got down from the bed and let go of the blanket he was holding at the entire conversation, following after Cross silently.

Okay but I have this thing in my head, sort of a personal headcanon, that Will and Hotch are close. Not like brothers but also much closer then the show ever says. It’s Hotch and Will setting up play dates for the boys, doing soccer days together and when the team go on a night out and Will comes, they have no issue sitting together for ages and chatting about shit, from work, to the boys.

I do think Hotch sat Will down when he moved to DC to kinda do a “talk” with him. Like, hey both your hours are gonna be shit and you’re both gonna be tired and frustrated some days and that’s okay. But Henry comes first above EVERYTHING.

In fact, Hotch is secretly against JJ becoming a profiler, knowing how much doing that specific job will change her and her relationships to others, and he remembers her years ago saying she could never be a profiler. And it’s like, watching his little sister change into someone he can’t really recognise anymore. Over time she’s become so judgemental and such a good liar and keeps so much shit from the team that he’s not surprised when Will calls him asking about JJ because she won’t be honest with her own husband.

And Hotch will be honest to him, saying that shit has been going on but he doesn’t know what’s going on with JJ specifically, and he always offers to talk to JJ and order her to take time off.

Will knows Hotch loves JJ and Henry like a brother and uncle, and he’s always in his corner when he realises JJ isn’t all that she seems.

(Yes could I write a whole essay about JJ and my issues with her? Yes.)

i love this akjsdhglaj i love the idea of hotch sitting will down for a talk and wills a little freaked out thinking it’s gonna be the “don’t hurt her or i’ll teach you what hurt is” talk but its the fucking opposite: he talks ab how their job sucks ass and to prepare for disappointments. thats so funny akjsdhlgfakj i especially love will being the one to really take initiative to connect with hotch and arrange kid stuff for henry and jack.

but honestly i think it would be kinda fun if hotch kept his distance from will at first. he’s still so hurt by jj keeping all this from him that he’s scared to do anything that’ll only add to her discomfort. he doesnt want her to think she cant trust him with info ab her personal life, so he tries hard not to cross any boundaries that she could perceive in a negative light. so he stays away from will.

will meanwhile hasn’t interacted with hotch to understand why he’s so standoffish, so he’s worried that maybe he did something to offend him or that hotch doesn’t approve of their relationship or smth… espec when jj tells him how she cant get time off, and whatever else she blames on hotch so she doesnt have to be honest with him.. it just doesn’t seem like either of them are off to a particularly good start

so it’s like a slowburn thing ajslhdgg like the more they interact the more will realizes that hotch is actually a sweet guy.. especially when will sees the way hotch interacts w jack and henry. will puts more effort into getting to know him and hopefully get him past whatever’s holding him back. hotch does eventually begin lowering his defenses—will’s disarming that way—and they form a friendship that isn’t reliant on their mutual connection with jj.

either way i love this concept.. i get the not-quite-brothers thing, but its not like hotch has the closest relationship with his actual brother anyway, so i imagine will just happening to fill a certain void in hotch’s life.. giving will advice on what to expect from a baby, will calling hotch to come help when neither of them can get henry settled, just checking in on each other in general and seeing how jj’s doing… casual things that aren’t the most intimate or anything, but neither of them really have anyone to have this kind of chill but supportive relationship with

You would've been happy to enjoy the moment with your brother and his little... friends. But you could see the tension on Scaramouche's face, even as a kitsune. As the older sibling, you also had the responsibility to beat the shit out of anyone who hurt him. But Childe was strong, and you instead had to settle with being a sassy bitch instead. "Where did your luck run out? Mother or father...? Of maybe neither, sometimes the unlucky ones just grow a bit too tall on there own."

Confusion tainted the boys face as he opened his mouth to respond. Scaramouche on the other hand seemed to lighten up a little bit, just a little bit. Signora looked slightly offended.

But you didnt stop there.

"Some people look good tall," you replied to Childe's asking stare. "But you have a baby face, doesnt help that you're named after a literal 'kid.' Seems like the gods might've spilled a bit too much height when creating you. And when I say a little, I mean a lot." You angled your head to look at Signora, "You on the other hand have the perfect form and face for it." There was annoyance on Childe's face when you turned back to him. "I guess not everyone can be lucky."

Scaramouche rolled on his side, burying his head in the towel to snicker in the odd way that foxes did it. As the older sibling, you'd done your job. Hopefully Childe didnt grab you both by the tail now.

An Essay On Alloaro's

Before I begin this stupidly long post, I want to add a disclaimer. This post is going to talk specifically about alloaro issues in the community, and only those issues. Everyone one in the aspec community faces issues that deserve to be talked about. That being said, there is a trend in the community to focus on issues skewing more towards asexuals and aroaces. So this post is for those who are rarely talked about. Alloaro's.

With that out of the way, lets begin. The aspec community encompasses two seperate communities of identity. The Acespec Community, asexuals and their spectrum. The Arospec Community, aromantics and their spectrum. However their is this common practice of using aspec in reference to only the Acespec community which is problematic in a few ways. This discourse has been coming up again recently with people claiming that aromantics are included under asexual using aspec to refer to asexuals. This is aromantic erasure, but it also has a heavy impact on a smaller community within the Arospec Community. One thats often forgotten about and the topic of this post.

The discourse around aromantics being under the asexual identity is extremely alloarophobic. It erases us as an identity as it implies that to be aromantic you have to be asexual or be irreversibly linked to asexuality. Its gotten to the point where "Not all aro's are ace" isn't enough to drown out the arguments, which in all honesty it never was enough. Discourse has turned into antagonism against a small community that barely ever gets its voice heard.

If you've made it this far, wonderful. Now, I'm going to break down issues we face inside and outside the aspec community and hopefully how to fix them.

Lack Of Informative Alloaro Centered Content

Its seen all the time. Aspec and LGBT positivity and informational posts simply forgetting the existence of aromantic identities or even worse, when alloaro representation ends at "Not all aro's are ace". To be clear, we have terminology that can be used beyond a single sentence of representation. Terminology that can helo those who may be questioning their orientation and are unable to even find posts about being allosexual and aromantic. How can we fix this? Simple. Acknowledge our terminology. Instead of saying a single line about us, mention us as who we are. Allosexual Aromantics.

Our Representation Being Flooded Over

I want you to imagine for a second you are in the shoes of a questioning alloaro. You've struggled with your aromanticism and don't know if thats even who are, or if you're just a "late bloomer". So, you turn to the aromantic community to try and learn about others experiences. Thats when a knot forms in your throat. As far as you can tell, almost all of the most shared, acknowledged, and featured content around the community is either blatantly asexual or aroace. You know for a fact you aren't asexual, and now you've found yourself reinforcing the idea that you can't be aromantic because of that. Just imagine that for a second. This is something tons of alloaro's have gone through before discovering that such a line of thinking is false.

How many times have you seen posts talking about how the aromantic tags get flooded with purely asexual content? Or that other aromantic identities are forgotten over the vast majority of the community favoring aroaces? This is a massive issue, and it just reinforces the idea that aromanticism and asexuality are connected or are requirements for eachother. Alloaro content and posts get burried under a slew of aroace and asexual content. Content that sometimes doesn't even get tagged as aroace, but just aromantic, making it nearly impossible to filter out for alloaros who want the allosexual part of their identity acknowledged. A passage from @aroworlds "Allosexual Aromantic Erasure: A Guide" says it best.

"Aro-aces deserve the right to see aro-ace content in aromantic spaces, but we need to address this imbalance in terms of what content dominates and how it impacts allo-aro participation in our shared community. Only then can we renegotiate a relationship that doesn’t tend to allo-aro erasure."

How can we fix it? Simple.

If your content doesnt substantially mention aromantics (more then just a sentence tacked on at the end), do not tag it aromantic. And for gods sake, NEVER tag purely asexual content as alloaro.

If your content is aroace, tag it aroace or include asexual in your tags. This allows alloaro's who want to see more representation of their allosexual identity to blacklist the term asexual in their feed. It also helps differentiate the content from being seen as aromantic and nothing else.

A Refusal To Acknowledge Or Talk About Alloaro Experiences

I've said it before and I will say it again. The alloaro experience is fundamentally different then that of aroaces, asexuals, and other identities in the Aspec community. ALL EXPERIENCES IN THE ASPEC COMMUNITY are different and simply assuming that since you've mentioned aroaces or aromantics means that you covered everything is erasure. The way we experience our aromanticism is changed due to our allosexual identities. In the aspec community, it's almost more accepted to be aroace then it is to be alloaro. In spaces for aspec discussion alloaro's often have to filter out their allosexual experiences in fear of offending or making someone who isn't allosexual uncomfortable. Rarely do you ever see a space for alloaro discussion and as a result our struggles often go unheard or even ignored by the community.

Lets take a moment to mention what we face, so that we can at least get the acknowledgement we deserve.

The coding of sexual attraction and sexual acts being inherently romantic

The vilification of sexual acts without reciprocal romantic attraction

The assumption that FWB is societal representation of alloaro's

The unspoken community caution around talking about sexual attraction or sexual experiences in the aspec community, even when tagged as aromantic or given proper warning to asexual members

Being labeled as predatory by society and even within LGBT spaces and communities

A lack of even the slightest education on how to go about sexual encounters without romantic intent in a healthy manner

The flooding of sex negative content in the aromantic tag (along with simply asexual content as a whole)

And much more I could mention but the list would drag on forever. How can we fix this? Simple.

Create more spaces for alloaro discussions and boost content that shares our struggles. Never assume you've covered our experiences because you've mentioned aroaces. Never assume you've covered our experiences because you've mentioned aromantics without specifically talking about alloaro's. Help change the atmosphere of the aspec community to make it more acceptable to talk about sexual experiences in aromantic spaces because they are not the same as asexual spaces.

Closing Statement

There is alot more I could talk about in this essay but its gotten to a length in which I doubt anyone would actually read further so I'm going to wrap things up. All aspec issues and experiences deserve to be discussed, bo matter what identity it centers around. However, that means they deserve to be discussed equally. Whether intentioned or not, refusing to acknowledge the differences in alloaro experiences is erasure, and it harms us as community. We need to elevate the voices of those who go talked over or unheard in our community. We need to stop the harmful ideas that come about when a community for all aspec identities is dominated by the views, opinions, and experiences of one side. The Aspec community is for Asexuals and Aromantics. Two separate identities with their own struggles, experiences, needs, and lives. If we can acknowledge that, and stop lumping ourselves together as if the other side doesn't exist, we can come together as a community.

Everyone deserves a voice, so lets give them one. One we're willing to hear out.

I have to admit. He’s cute, but he’s so irritating. Is it the fact that he’s so undeniably cute? Yes. No, yes but Peter is such a know it all, or at least I think so.

For some reason, it didn’t stop me from hanging out with him and his friends for the past couple of months. After picking up some school lunch, I grab a seat in front of Peter and Ned.

“Hey Y/n,” Ned smiles. “Hi Ned! Hi Peter,” I greet back, looking over at Peter. He didn’t seem to notice, his eyes too focused on Liz.

“Why do you even hang out with them Y/n, they’re losers,” I hear MJ pipe up. Ned, Peter and I all turn our heads to her.

“True-” I stifle a laugh.

“Then why are you sitting here with us?” Peter retorts.

“Because she’s cool, and doesn’t drool over seniors like, someone,” I cough, smirking at him. He rolls his eyes and glares at me.

“She’s not wrong,” Ned murmurs.

“Dude!” Peter huffs, making me giggle. He smiles slightly and slumps on the palm of his hand, looking away.

“Pete, could you come over after school? I need help with chem, and I know you need help with English,” I poke him with a fork causing him to swat me away.

“Yeah whatever, I think that’s just an excuse to get me to come over,” he teases.

“Shut up!” I groan. Ned and MJ share a suspicious glance. “What?” I ask cluelessly.

“Nothing,” they both say quietly.

After a long dreadful day of school, Peter and I met up at the front of the school, by the gates.

“Hey Penis Parker,” I smirk, holding onto my backpack straps.

He lets out a long sigh, “Not you too, Y/n. C’mon,” he huffs.

“I’m just messing with you Pete,” I bump into him, beginning to walk ahead.

He follows, catching up easily, “Right. Anyways, have you heard about the new vigilante in town?”

I tense at the subject, “Uhm yeah, that speedy girl?”

“Yup. What do you think about her?”

“Uh, I don’t know. All I know is that she’s probably better than Spider-Man.”

He looks at me offended, “Who’s to say? Spider-Man is like, super-human, he has a bunch of powers-”

“Don’t get your panties all in a twist, I’m just saying,” I laugh, “Sheesh didn’t think you were such a big fan of Spider-Man.”

“U-uh why wouldn’t I be, he’s s-super cool.” “Said every teenager ever, I like this new girl. She’s kind of refreshing y’know?”

“Meh,” Peter shrugs, and I scoff shoving him aside.

We eventually head to my apartment and study together. I messed around while Peter tried to help me with homework, but he ended up getting distracted anyways.

I let out a long groan, “Shut up! You’ve been talking about chemistry for the past 30 minutes and I didn’t understand one thing that came out of your mouth.”

Peter’s mouth drops. He throws one of my pillows at me, “You asked me to come over!”

“I know, because I’m lonely.”

“Sure.”

“You’re right, I just needed you to do my homework.”

“I hate you.”

“I love you too,” I flash him a cheeky smile, causing him to roll his eyes. I glance over at the clock, “Hey uh, I think you should head out soon. My dad’s coming back from work soon and you know how he is with boys.”

“Yeah yeah, don’t miss me too much,” he gets up, gathering his things.

“Reverse card!” “See you,” he chuckles and walks off.

“Bye Penis Parker!” I yell, making sure he left. As soon as he closed the front door, I rush into my closet to get out my suit.

After putting it on and tidying up room, I head out my window and jump out to the fire escape.

I decide to scan the city, running and jumping from building to building. It seemed quiet so I sat down on the ledge of some random building.

I hear a quiet thud next to me. I glance over at the figure, who I made out to be Spider-Man. “Ah, well if it isn’t the infamous Spider-Man.”

“Thought I’d check out who the new girl in town is,” he chuckles. His voice seemed higher than I expected it to be, it almost sounds familiar. Weird. Could it be? No way, that’s impossible.

“You care about me? I’m touched,” I place a hand on my heart. I hear him stifle a laugh and shake his head.

He went quiet for a second and stood up from his crouching position, “There’s something going on by 5th street in some warehouse,” he says.

“Guess we should head over-”

“We? I don’t know about that new girl, this is my neighborhood,” he jumps off the ledge, swinging from building to building.

The fuck, who does this guy think he is!?

I rush downstairs and speed off to 5th street, managing to get there before he did. “Yes, we,” I cross my arms looking up at Spider-Man who arrived shortly after me.

He scoffs, “So you’re fast. Hopefully you can catch up, sweetheart,” he swings up to the roof of a warehouse.

I quickly follow, managing to find a way inside and on to the rooftop. I run over to where Spider-Man is crouched down behind a large air vent. I poke my head out to see a poor lady tied to a chair, with a bunch of men surronding her.

“Some kind of intense hostage situation,” he whispers.

“You’re an intense hostage situation,” I murmur.

“What? Shut up!” he whispers. “Oh my god, I think that’s the mayor.”

He jumps up from the vent, placing his hands on his hips. “Hey uh, guys I don’t think you should be treating a lady- especially our mayor like that,” he says, changing the pitch of his voice. I scrunch up my nose at his awkwardness.

“What the fuck, who called him-!” I hear a rough voice yell out, followed by a series of gunshots and screaming.

Spider-Man yelps and manages to fling some guns aside, causing two men to gang up on him, “Hey, new girl a little help!” he yells out. There another two men next to the mayor, with large guns in their hands.

“On it!” I call back, rushing over to the two men circling them. “Hi there,” I grin, place my hands on their guns surging a large amount of eletricity to them, knocking them out.

I help the mayor out, making sure she wasn’t injured or anything. “Karen, call the police and give them our location,” I hear Spider-Man mumble quickly, grunting as he knocks out the two men he was dealing with.

The mayor who was still in complete shock began to ramble, “T-thank you Spider-Man. T-thank you?” she looks over at me.

“Uhm, Velocity?” I rub my arm as Spider-Man watches in amusement.

“Thank you both really-” she sniffs. Suddenly, the roof top door slams open and a bunch of big bulky men come out with these weird looking weapons.

“Heads up, Spidey!” I yell, as one of the men shoot their weird looking gun that emitted some type of green energy.

I grab the Mayor and speed down to the front of the building, where a bunch of police cars pulled up.

Shocked from the momentum, she falls to her knees. “I’m so sorry, but I had to get you out of there. Stay safe!” I rush back to the rooftop.

I notice Spider-Man struggling to get this one guy off of him, “Pretty boy, to your right!” I yell. I run over to one of the weapons and toss it to him.

He quickly webs it and slings it against the guy, knocking him out, “Pretty boy?” he scoffs.

“Yeah, that’s what you sound like!” I grunt, punching a guy who was coming to my left with a surge of electricity.

“So you’d be an annoying girl?” he smirks, also fighting off someone who rushed towards him.

“I’d be honored,” I scoff. “Holy shit!” I let out a yelp as I felt myself being lifted in the air by one of the weapons.

I hear a quick thwip and suddenly I was back on my feet, with Spider-Man’s arm around my waist, “My hero-” I gasp dramatically.

“Cute,” he rolls his eyes. He pushes me towards another guy who was trying to get their weird gun to work.

I frown instantly, and circle around him grabbing the gun before he could do anything. I fling it against him, and press my hand harshly on the gun, causing eletricity to rush all over him.

He knocks out, and I turn around, seeing Spider-Man fling against the air vent. I inhale sharply and rush towards the guy, knocking him off his feet causing him to let go of the weapon.

I kick it away, the guy gets back up and attempts to punch at me. I easily dodge his attacks and punch him with eletricity.

“Oh my god, I did it- I mean we did it! We-” I look over at Spidey who was slump on the ground. “Shit,” I speed over to his side, propping his head up onto my lap. “Pretty boy, you still there?”

I notice his mask was slightly cut open, blood seeping out from the side of his head. I knew that he had the mask on for a reason, but he could be dying. It’s not like I would out him to anyone. I understand why he would keep his identity a secret, it’s what I do as well.

I inhale deeply, pulling off his mask. I let out a gasp, “Peter!?”

it’s the episode 8 review!!! how many episodes is this show supposed to even be?

the stages from the episode feel like such a grab bag.... i still don’t understand why they didn’t put all the skill stages together, and then did the normal two episodes of the third round. i guess it makes sense that they didn’t want to have six stages in one episode and then three in the other two, but eh.

feeling kinda average on these as a whole, there’s a lot of good elements going on here but probably because of my own preferences (i don’t listen to ballads or blackpink) none of them really hit all the buttons. hopefully this will be a shorter review because i'm only going to do a quick rundown of the vocal stages; i dont really have that much to say about them because they are (intentionally) not very stage picture focused. i'll do the normal stage breakdowns for the other two though, even though i won’t rank them because we still need to see the other four!

vocal stages

sf9 + tbz + ikon

not much to say here other than wow, that’s RED. glad to see some more specific use of spotlighting and i always love when they light things on fire. i do wish they had fill lit with a brighter amber so we could actually get a bit more detail on their faces, especially because there’s six of them. i appreciated the simple blocking and only using one of the ‘stages,’ this stage didn’t need to be anything complicated and it wasn’t. i don’t love spinning camera shots because they make me a bit ill, and i'll forgive the constant cutting because it's a vocal stage and there isn’t any other real movement that we should be paying attention to. not my favourite of the two, i found it visually a bit too repetitive and complex at the same time. always love a crushed velvet suit though, so bonus points for that.

atz + skz + btob

i was braced for the worst and i dont know what kind of miracle happened but it was listenable! like i said, not a ballad fan but i could listen to eunkwang all day. i love a good plinth for a ballad stage, they’re one of my favourite devices in kpop design and i especially love it with a good groundlevel fog. glad they kept it black and white for the first half of the stage, it was in line with the blooming flower projections, and it made a very clear colour arc. they kept the visuals clean and simple with very little blocking at all, a very smart choice for this stage. not sure why they decided it would be the chanel time stage, which i disapprove of because i don’t like chanel, but i do love eunkwang’s shirt with the cameo buttons and the massive turnback cuffs, very 17th and also 19th century. i know they never do it because they dont read on stage normally but yes absolutely more thin chain pendant chokers on men, thank you! i also liked that there was emphasis on a more traditional lighting scheme, there weren't any crazy concert effects, just some good directional beam spotlights and the rear stacks in the climax.

costume

the first look for them is definitely my fabourite of theirs so far. there’s enough variation in the jackets that the base layer of tshirt and jeans don’t look too repetitive. and i do love a good statement jacket. my favourite is probably donghyuk’s because i'm a sucker for fringe always.

i don’t like the backup dancers costumes, but given the way i’ve reacted to every other all black outfit for this entire show i don’t think anyone was surprised about that. these ones particularly irk me because they’re very matte; there's pretty much no texture or pattern differentials to define the shape of the limb, which makes them disappear when theyre all grouped together (mostly on the women). i think they probably were intending to make a statement/emphasis on the hands because of the sleeve cutoff point, but there were so many arm movements that were just totally missed because the costumes were just black voids. most egregious parts are here, with the female dancers up center. i can barely tell what the movements are unless i’m paying specific attention to them because there's so many black shapes. maybe it was the point for it to be an indiscernable writhing mass, but it wasn’t my vibe.

don’t love this styling on lisa. i hate peeptoe shoes in general but peeptoe boots are the worst offenders. they make you look like you have duck feet, no matter who you are. especially with a flat cutout like that. a universally unflattering shoe, and i would know, i worked in a shoe store for two years. this whole look is just pg-13 rihanna cfda awards 2014 and really nobody should try to run up against rihanna.

also i have to mention this because it’s actually really bothering me, but lisa’s backup dancers are serving very allgemeine ss looks and i do not like it. generally when we see ‘military’ uniforms in kpop theyre usually modelled off older styles (pre wwii) of western uniforms that usually aren’t in circulation, and they’re usually non-matching and embellished in ways that are deliberately not military. i know logically that it's a budget constraint+they’re backup dancers+current trend thing but the clean lines with only button detailing and the all black and that specific harness shape? it hit my brain the wrong way. i mean, technically those uniforms are designer because hugo boss did them, but the uh..... girlboss move didn’t land for me.

this is my PERSONAL OPINION please for the love of all that is holy do not come yelling at me about this. it’s all under a cut, you chose to read the post.

set

very glad to see some busy kitschy sets! this is a massive build, since there’s essentially three full sets here: the temple, the jungle, and the first tiny room. and all of them are very heavily decorated.

the starting room is just five walls on casters (wheels), that have been set into place with the cameraman and ikon inside at the start, and then once they exit the walls can be easily struck and rolled off set. simple, smart, and convenient!

i missed it the first couple times around but glitching out the projections in the temple for a split second was a neat little trick.

the silver and polygonal nature of the tiger/panther/cat(?) head is a bit disconnected from the gold and the aesthetic of the rest of the stage for me. the difference between the original room set and the jungle tracks, but the cat head isnt able to make the same leap for me. i'm also not a fan of mixing metals so maybe that’s why.

the tiger/panther/cat(?) head is a fun physical transitional device; i'm a big fan of tunnels and small transitory spaces like that and if they’re well dressed like this one they do so much for establishing place and mood.

i'm very sure i’ve seen this style of polygonal animal head with laser eyes before....i cannot for the life of me remember where or for what. i know wang yibo did a panther stage for sdc3 that had a human formation panther with green laser eyes, i wonder if i'm just crossing wires.

OH nevermind it’s because it looks like the witcher medallion. wires were definitely crossed.

lighting

using purple/teal lighting for the jungle was a smart choice because purple is the direct compliment to the gold and also is much more flattering on humans than green. green is one of the colours that humans can see the most variations in, so when something is green when it's not supposed to be (like human skin), we register that very quickly and associate it with unease and sickness. you know how old fluorescent lights have that greenish tinge that kinda makes you feel ill? it's your cone cells and your brain recognizing that you’re looking at things that are not supposed to be green.

very clean colour arc, i love to see it.

sound

it’s.....fine? i don’t listen to blackpink and have no opinions on their music other than it's not my type. i dont really know what the thematic connection to the visuals is, which is not strictly necessary in a lot of cases, but i don’t particularly care for the conflation of ‘savage’ and a (presumably) precolonial religion that’s assembled from stereotypes of real colonized cultures. you can come at me about how ‘it's not that deep’ all you want but i am here specifically doing an in depth analysis, and i gotta point it out. i'm not here to pass judgement on you if you didn’t realize or don’t care or whatever, i'm just saying that it's important to consume content with a critical eye. what you do with that information is your own personal choice, but you should be aware of it at least.

staging

they took a big risk eating popcorn right before singing, and we definitely got some residual mouth noises of them trying to clean out their teeth. eating on stage is difficult in general because you have to make sure it's not going to dry out the performers mouths, because they dont have access to water and it takes WAY longer to chew and swallow something than you would expect. there’s a LOT of testing that goes into making stage food and guaranteed it’s not made out of what it looks like or what its supposed to be; i worked on a production of amadeus were we did literal weeks of testing amalgams of different desserts to make sure that salieri could actually eat the ones onstage without totally drying him out, because fun fact about that show, salieri doesnt leave stage like, at all, so there was no way to get him water. poor bloke.

i thought the blocking of this was really smart. the long take from the ‘normal’ room and transition into the jungle was super slick, even if that weird circle the camera did while pointed up at the ceiling was unnecessary and pointless.

bobby’s ‘acting’ was extremely funny and that’s the only way people are allowed to act surprised now. edvard munsch scream style only.

the pacing is a bit off and this time it wasn’t mnet’s editing that fucked it up. as fun as it is to have a feature, clearly she wasn’t allowed within proximity of the rest of them for covid or other yg related reasons, but it made for some extremely long transitions, especially the one out of her verse. it kills the momentum of the stage in that beat, even though they manage to pick it up after.

this is a very simple little narrative arc that’s easy to follow and doesn’t require any extra explaining. which is exactly the kind of arc that groups should be doing at this stage in the game. this is a good formic step up for ikon!

i thought the turning off of the monitor at the end was fun and a good callback to them watching the videos at the beginning of the stage. a nice clean way to make it circular.

skz

costume

FINALLY something different on the skz boys! these were mostly fun eboy looks for them, and i like it on the basis that it's not the same as the last set of costumes.

bang chan out there with his thigh OUT and a (fake) bridge piercing? LOVE to see it. great work.

(copy-paste every thing i’ve said about backup dancers wearing all black)

the backup dancers that were dressed as bystanders/extras were great! they should have kept that with all of them because it would have given a little more shape to the choreography and establishing what function the backup dancers were supposed to have.

set

that is meant to be a giant rice cooker on stage, right? i think so because it's a god’s menu mashup? if that's not a rice cooker i have NO idea what its supposed to be

there’s only two large setpieces here, which was a smart way to go. i LOVE the subway car doubling as the truck, even if the truck itself makes no narrative sense. what a fun way to double the use of a single big piece. you’ll be able to see the way it moves in the full cam but it splits down the centre and there entrance doors at the back with attached stairs that bang chan and the dancers use to climb up.

lighting

not a whole lot happening here. i like the cool white leds in the subway car and the contrast with the more warm tones of the outside, which is good atmospheric establishment, but i can't discern a visible arc.

not a fan of these projections; they’re in line with what we’ve seen from skz so far, which is: extremely literal. i dont think they’re that distracting, but they’re not to my personal taste. they really should have kept the comic panel theme that they did for changbin’s first verse, because that was inventive and fun to watch! and a great atmospheric indicator! i would love to see a bit more experimental projection use but it's hard when they don’t have a lot of time to build these stages and the lighting team is definitely working remotely.

sound

i love that they made the choice to do some actual talking, it’s a good gimmick and it works for the deadpool/comic book/fourth wall break theme, but australian accents take me the fuck out i am so sorry i cannot listen to either felix or bang chan speak english without laughing uncontrollably.

i don’t like this arrangement but i'm not surprised about that, given my predilections. i'm also tired of skz shouting STRAY KIDS in every performance they do. i know on music shows it's probably more relevant and yea producers tags are a thing but we’ve been watching this show for nearly two months at this point. we know who you are, you can stop yelling. be more creative with it!

staging

my biggest issue with this stage is that it doesn’t have a payoff. there is an arc here: they’re stealing the truck, but why are they stealing the truck? who are they stealing it from? who are they fighting against? it's kind of important in a stage where the theme is stealing and fighting someone that you tell us who that is. in both of ateez’s previous stages were they were both stealing (rhythm ta) and fighting (wonderland), they made sure to show us who the villain was. there needs to be tension for a big blowup climax to actually pay off. whether it be against a a balloon arm kraken or a fascist government. this stage could have reached that next step if they’d just done a little bit more exposition.

there were a lot of fun choreo moments here, and this is probably my favourite choreo of theirs so far. i thought the whole first bit in the subway car was excellent and a very fun play on those viral videos that we used to see roll around every so often of dancers doing routines in subway cars.

did it need the guns? not in the slightest. more on this point later. i could talk more about weapons and weight here, but i’ve done that several times already.

like with the tbz game of thrones stages, theyre relying a little too much on the audience's preconceptions of the source material in order to carry the theme. the guns are there because deadpool likes guns, but they don’t actually use the guns for anything? the most we get of the stealing segment is felix and the safe, which admittedly is a great bit with him leaping over and under the ‘laser’ lines (theyre likely led strips). because comic books are by nature procedural and deeply tied to narrative, it's unsatisfying when there’s no tension and no payoff.

HOW did we manage to get two stages that are blackpink covers with remote/tv static gimmick and durags? i know the slot machine of kpop tropes is not very big but surely the probability of hitting triple sevens on this one was pretty low. i’m pretty meh on both of these stages overall. skz was unsatisfying but i loved the choreo in the subway bit so that bumped it up a little ahead of ikon’s in my personal preferences, but i'm reserving my actual rankings for next week. assuming we get the other four stages next week and they dont do something stupid and only show two. which they very well might. i’ve stopped trying to understand why mnet does things the way that they do.

Previous Chapter 05

Beginning Chapter 01

Another week, another party. Well it hasn’t exactly been a week, and also this wasn’t just a party, it was a kegger at the bone yard. Pogue turf.

You haven’t told anyone about your encourter with Ward at the party, and you figured Rafe would keep his mouth shut, in an effort to please his father. There was something that made you uneasy at the thought of Sarah, and John B’s recent behavior was getting you annoyed.

“John B, find someone in your own league,” you scolded, you were sitting next to JJ and Kie, as you watched John B staring at Sarah Cameron. She was with her boyfriend Topper, and his frosted tips.

John B stuttered, “I- I don’t know what you are talking about,”

“Oh please John B, you are totally eye fucking her,” JJ adds.

You tense at his bluntness.

“I wouldn’t mess around with her if I were you. She-she’s like a spitting cobra! First she blinds you-”

Pope interrupts,”This is not a good analogy,”

John B mutters something and heads of to help pass out beers at the keg.

“Everything okay Y/n?” Kie asks you, you had zoned out in thought, if John B got close with Sarah she could tell him everything. But really, what did she even know. Just the fact that she could have heard your entire conversation with Ward, the fact that Ward hugged you, and then lied about it? Yeah, not a big deal at all.

“Yeah...um..I just need a beer,” you mumble and then get up to follow John B.

“She totally has a huge crush on John B,” Kie concludes.

JJ practically chokes on his beer, “Huh what?! No way,”

“She got all tense when he was focused on Sarah, and believe me, Y/n doesnt really drink, unless she’s upset or something,”

JJ looked down at his beer, he didn’t know why he cared about what you may or may not feel about his best friend. But his smile sprung back when a cute touron said hi.

The whole night you tried to stop staring at Sarah. She hasn’t even noticed you, but you were sure if she did it would spark a conversation between her and John B.

You wandered alone towards the ocean, not wanting to fall down the rabbit hole of beer and touron hookups.

You sat down on the beach edge, letting the waves creep up but not touch your sandals.

“Hey Y/n, don’t freak out. I just want to talk,” someone says, but it’s muffled to you. So you ignore it.

He taps you on the shoulder, snapping you out of your daze.

“I just want to say I wasn’t cool with what Rafe did,” Topper says, it was almost like an apology. Almost.

You ignore him, pulling your knees into your chest.

“Are you um,” he clears his throat, “are you okay?”

“Fine,” you reply, you weren’t exactly sure what impression Topper was under, but you didn’t feel like talking to him.

“I don’t want to sound like a dick. But, you know, Rafe is my friend, and my girlfriend’s brother...”

He was rambling.

“...and anyway I just want to make sure you won’t say anything,” Topper finishes.

“Excuse me?” you ask, insulted that he thought you were a snitch but also at how petty he was.

“I mean, there are serious charges and we wouldn’t want this to cause a scene,”

“Okay, fuck you, Topper,” you roll your eyes, attempting to leave, until Topper steps infront of you, blocking your way.

“C’mon Y/n, don’t be like this,”

“Topper get out of my way,”

Suddenly he pulls something from his pocket, it looks like an 100 dollar bill, your eyes widen, you’ve only really seen bills as high as $20.

“Wait-“

“Take this,” he offers, holding your hand and placing the money neatly folded inside.

“Topper I don’t want this...”

Topper moves closer and make sure you are sharing full eye contact, he opens his mouth to say something when a winery girl voice interrupts us.

“Topper?” Sarah asks. Your stomach feels like it’s dropping. Instantly, nerves are all you feel.

“Oh hey Sarah,” Topper pauses, gesturing for you to leave, you comply and turn the other way, waking past Sarah, but not making eye contact.

“Why were you talking with her?” You hear Sarah ask. Topper better have a good lie.

“I was asking her what her dirty pogue friends were doing at Rafe’s party last night,” Topper explains.

Sarah doesn’t seem convinced, “are you lying to me?”

“No, no baby. I love you, I wouldn’t lie, especially over a pogue,”

You leave it at that and head to the keg, near there JJ , John B, and Kie are laughing about something, you were glad they didn’t seen you talking to Topper. And that John B had hopefully moved on from Sarah, after all she had a boyfriend.

“Finally my bae is back,” Kie smiles, John B extends a beer cup out to you, to which you reluctantly accept.

“Let’s play a game!”

Kie had asked you truth or dare, you chose truth.

“Do you have a crush on John B?” Kie asked, smirking and acting all giddy.

John B coughed.

“No. No offense John B,” you respond honestly.

“None taken,” he says, “no pogue-on-pogue macking.”

You nod in response, and Kie huffs.

“Pope truth or dare?” You question.

“Truth,” he replies, JJ mutters something like ‘pussy’ under his breath.

“Would you rather take JJ’s gun, or get your scholarship,”

“Scholarship. At this point there’s no stopping him from doing something stupid with that,” Pope replies.

JJ smirks at gives him a high five. Pope slaps him away.

“Okay Y/n, truth or dare!?” John B asked you.

You smirked at him, you had already said truth 2 times and you were feeling buzzed, “Dare.”

John B smiled, “I dare you to switch clothes with JJ,”

You feel like your eyes were going to jump out of their sockets, but you tried to play it cool, sure it was just a fun idea, but your body wasn’t ready to be on display. The paint hadn’t dried. And by that, I mean the bruises hadn’t faded.

“You can pass, but then you’ll have to tell us your deepest darkest secret,”

You could just make something up, but you didn’t want to lie more than you had to.

“Fine,” you shrug, grabbing JJs hand and pulling him past a bush or something.

“Do they mean..like..underwear and shit?” JJ asks, already pulling off his ash blue t-shirt.

“Um I don’t know,” you answer, pulling off your shorts and scolding JJ if he faced you.

He threw you his shorts and you handed him yours.

“I need your shirt,” JJ states.

“Um...But you’ll stretch it out,” you whine, hoping to get him off your track.

“Nuh uh, you got a view of this,” he gestures to himself.

You gulp down.

“I-um okay,” you fumble with the fabric of his shirt. It smelled like him.

You turn so your back is facing him, you faintly remember checking if there were any bruises on your back. You hadn’t been home in a few days and the ones on your back should be faded.

You pull from the bottom, and let the fabric slide up your figure.

You were wearing a string bikini under it. It was tied into a perfect bow.

JJ couldn’t take his eyes off this new view of your silloette he didn’t want to offend you, but his heart was thumping so hard against his chest.

But then, he saw it. Something he never expected to be littered on your perfect body.

But his view was obstructed when you pulled on his shirt. It dropped perfectly. He should have been amused by the dare, but he was just concerned.

You walked passed him with confidence, bumping your shoulder with his.

But he couldn’t comprehend, maybe he was being too worried for nothing.

Before you could leave, JJ grabbed your upper arm.

You regretted it instantly, “ow,” you whimpered.

“Y/n- wait did I hurt you? What’s going on? You have a huge mark on your back...”

“I just...” you sighed deeply, “please don’t tell the others.”

JJ was intrigued but concerned, “someone hurt you?”

“No,” she responded, “Rafe just grabbed my arm really hard, it left a bruise. I’m sorry,”

“Don’t be sorry Y/n,” JJ stated, “what about the one on your back, it looked like it was an old one,”

“Um...” you paused, searching for another lie, “I think it was from surfing,”

JJ nodded, “you know you can talk to me if-“

“If what?” You challenged.

JJ scoffed. You could tell you hit a nerve, he was implying that someone was hurting you. JJ would know all about that, he just confided in you about problems with his dad, and you were acting completely annoying.

JJ left, he turned to go back to the group.

“Shit!” You muttered, running your hands through your hair. You were frustrated. You weren’t used to people caring.

You contemplated just ditching the bone yard, but Jj had your clothes. And that was your favorite long sleeve.

You ran after JJ and joined the others, tension palpable between you and JJ.

You felt completely empty, maybe you deserved it tonight.

When the stars began to appear in the sky, the group gathered and headed into the van.

You sat next to John B in the front seat, flicking JJs silver lighter on and off.

“You spending the night?” John B asks you.

You comtemplated it for a minute, knowing JJ was already suspicious, you told John B to drop you off on your street.

“Bye guys,” you wave and exit his car, Pope hops out of the car and takes your shot gun position.

It was late, around 11:00pm. You tried to be slow when entering the house, but your father was already sitting on the porch. Waiting for you.

When he saw you, you felt your muscles tense. A physical response, or was it emotional, there was no denying the immense fear you felt at the sight of this man. Who was suppose to love you.

“Look who decided to show up. Figured you would come crawling back. You had me worried sick you know that? God damn, how am I suppose to control a daughter like you,”

“I’m sorry,” your mind was racing, “can I...go to bed?” You asked cautiously.

He didn’t look frustrated like he usually would when you asked for something, but when you approached the door, he grabbed both of your shoulders aggressively.

You were good at concealing your pain, “please.”

“What were you doing?” He shakes his head in disappointment.

You don’t answer him, you lip was shaking so you bit it down.

“Tell me! NOW!” He screamed.

“I was-I w- I was working,” you said. Thinking quickly when you remembered the money Topper gave you. Dad would be so happy.

“What do you have to show for it? Ruined clothes that I fuckin paid for?!” He was drunk, he must not have noticed the fact that this was JJ’s shirt.

“I um I have money. You can have it,” you say, shuffling around in your pockets.

A glint shines in his eyes.

You continue to look, and then it hits you like a ton of bricks, your money was in the pocket of your shorts, the ones JJ was wearing.

You snapped awake to pounding on your door. Okay, it wasn’t pounding. It was very gentle. Too gentle.

You forced yourself up from the couch, pushing against it with your arm, not too fast or you would get a head rush and see black in your vision.

You moved towards the direction of the door and opened it messily.

You didn’t show your face, only opened it a crack, you were smarter than that, and besides, your face was bruised.

“Hi...um Miss? I’m just here becuase I heard some noises going on in here last night. It sounded like someone was hurt? Would you like me to call the police-“ the lady was older, but not elderly, she was your neighbor you recognized.

“No! Um don’t worry. My brother and I were just arguing, he was mad I started dating his friend. Crazy right? Anyway I really should get going, I have work today, a new job actually,” you explained, making sure that details add to lies, make them more believable.

“Ohh alrighty then,”

“Thankyou for stopping by,” you reply cheerfully, before nearly collapsing when she left.

Damn that took energy, I need food.

You knew better than to waste time looking through the kitchen, there would be nothing.

So you put on some makeup and rode your bike to the Wreak. Your first day at work.

After you finished, Kie (and her father) rewarded you and the pogues with free food.

JJ locked eyes with you from across the table.

“Y/n, when I was changing out of your clothes yesterday...this fell out,” he pulls your 2 $100 bills from Topper.

You felt nervous, but as always you were ready for a coverup.

“Shitt,”

“Don’t worry Kie, dinners on Y/n,” Pope smiles, Kie slaps him.

“That’s my paycheck, from work, it’s my one week earnings,” you explain.

“Wait really? That’s nothing, if you add it up per hour-“

“No, stop stop, its too early for that,” JJ cuts Pope off, its true, you didn’t want to be exposed by Popes nerd calculations.

“But the country club pays in checks, you get a certificate and everything,” Kie adds.

“Where did you get that money then? Because-“

“Guys! Chill, I would offer it to you to shut you up but I already promised my dad. And besides, it’s not like I did anything bad for the money, just forget about it,” you plead.

They soon drop it.

“What the fuck?”

“Are you fucking serious, John B?” Kie agrees.

“Look! I like her, but we’re NOT macking,” John B declares.

“He’s totally macking Sarah Cameron,” JJ mutters to Pope.

“Dude! She’s a kook! What about Pogue life, bro?”

“Yeah plus she’s also a spoiled bitch who can’t be apart of any team, let alone this one,” Kie adds.

“Kie I get why you hate her, but Y/n? I thought you would give her a chance?” John B asks, you gulp down. The Cameron’s always seemed to find a way to make you kneel before them.

“Okay, she’s coming here-“

“Fucking shit,” you mutter.

“-Just to meet you guys! Please give her a chance. She’s not like Topper and-,”

“She’s not like them, she’s dating them,”

“She’s gonna break up with him,”

“Oh wow,”

“Shut up! Just shut up!” John B orders, he hears something rustling in the bushes.

“Hi guys,” Sarah Cameron greets us.

Kie and Sarah get in a fight, I’ve never heard anyone call Kie a ‘shit taking bitch’ before. The boys were all fine with her, but still remained on yours and Kie’s side if you decided to hate her again.

Sarah asked you to talk with her, alone. You wanted to ask JJ to come with, but you didn’t know exactly where you stood.

“So..um...I’m not judging you or anything, but what’s going on with you and my dad? And it could be nothing, but I saw him, he talked to you like you were his daughter,” Sarah begins.

“Sarah, I promise, I was just talking to him. I don’t need any more older men in my life, trust me,”

“But then what about Topper? Why were you guys alone for that time at the beach, and why was he offering you hush money?”

“How did you know it was hush money?” You asked.

“I know my boyfriend,” Sarah says.

“Sarah? Can you please break up with him. I mean you can’t do that to him, and to John B,”

“You’re right,”
