So I know everyone likes Shen jiu coming back at some point post canon and everyone has a lot of thoughts about how he would react/care about/be furious his life and body were stolen from him.

Allow me to open your eyes to a new possibility!

What if the system/gods offered him a way to fix his cultivation, to finally be rewarded for all his hard work. He would have to start life over again from a child but could remember his experiences and life.

Only catch is that he would be vulnerable around people he doesn’t trust. If the other peak lords knew about this they would want to coddle him and taunt him and hold this over him forever (since they will all ascend together, they really would have forever to hold this over him for)

So he asks the gods if there could be a decoy in place so none of them realize he’s gone. He can (have a healthy childhood and work through some things) grow up off the mountain and then just reappear on mountain and reclaim his position when he’s ready!

Shen Jiu is the reason Shen Yuan had the opportunity to get so close to the protagonist, and the world rewards him for it.

What I’m saying is, what if a freshly adult Shen Jiu shows up at the sect having fixed his cultivation and is at the level he was before the qi deviation that changed his life. His mental health is miles better than it was due to being the darling only son of parents who loved him. He realizes what he feels for yqy isn’t just familial because he doesn’t feel that way towards his parents from this incarnation.

So Shen Jiu shows up and explains super casually that he got a boon from the gods to be able to fix his cultivation and he doesn’t know how the stand in has been doing but he’s back for his job.

So I decided to re-listen to TMA to prepare myself for TMAGP and stumbled upon a beauty of a time-travel-fix-it-fic and the imagery and writing brain blasted me.

The fic is Jon goes back and gets a semi happy ending (as a treat) and I swear it’s my new favorite both for the dialogue and setup!

Anyway I threw my phone reading the below bit and I had to share the exert and a fan drawing both for my own sanity and to inflict others of course.

Both of them stared at each other for a while, Michael was frozen in shock and Jon from bewilderment, until Jon eventually managed to gather his words.

She definitely tried to gross out Odysseus in a dumb "You think you can handle me, idiot? >:) " way. (She's stubborn and in denial at first. When she realizes she actually likes him, she's a mess.) And while eating raw fish is normal for naiad-born in Sparta, when she learned Odysseus wasn't used to naiads in daily life, she just really went wild with it.

He's just staring at her kind of expressionless and she thinks "Ha, see? You don't really like me."

But he's just like

"You like carp? Cuz if you do, we got plenty on Ithaca! Many more fish too! And if we don't, I'll get you some!"

And she's annoyed because her plan didn't work. Girlie is self-sabotaging even though she thinks he's neat.

Bart and Tim go to visit Kon at the same time but he’s not home so they just hang out together instead and Kon comes home to find them on his gaming system and his snack stash empty

has definitely happened at least once. depending on how snacky he's feeling he either goes "ughghhhh guys seriously :/" or just goes wow my besties :] and lays on top of both of them. if that makes one or both of them lose whatever level of the game they're on, all the better.

bonus (has definitely happened more than once): bart and kon both go to visit tim at the same time, but tim isn't home, so kon raids his kitchen to make cookies for when he gets back, but bart eats all of them before then just so he can look at tim and go "kon made you a cookie, but i eated it."

anyway despite my gripes about how everyone just treated kione like shit and how she deserves better, and also how i’m kinda sad and feel like we were cheated out of a proper goodbye for caitlin after NINE YEARS, that was another really pleasant, fun episode. the villains for this season are EXACTLY what i like from meta of the week/rogue type eps, they’re fun and campy and have silly little colourful outfits and they give us an excuse to do fun things with CGI and also to demonstrate that as powerful as barry is, he can still be humbled and get his butt kicked but then things all turn out well in the end, and you know what? if every single remaining episode ends with the team dancing and drinking cocktails and having a nice time, i will be delighted because these first two episodes have been SO fun
