4, 10, and 17 for the fanfic writers ask!
Who is your least favorite character to write?
If, in the general sense, any character I struggle to get a handle on who they are. With Psych, I struggled writing Karen Vick as the most I knew of her is she was Chief of police and was married and had a daughter. But we never even learned the name of her husband and rarely saw Iris until one of the movies. In the MCU the characters I don't feel I really get in a deep sense are any of the Ant-Man characters. I also have a harder time with Thor and I blame that one the extremely inconsistent portrayal that changes with every movie (I blame the writers). Hawkeye is another one I don't like to write based on the MCU version - I DO enjoy the animated series version which it the CORRECT version and reference that when I include the character.
Now, all that said, I will sometimes use these characters to craft my own interpretation - simply due to the fact there isn't enough meta to contradict. So in that way it sometimes could be interesting.
Is there a character that you love in fiction, but if they were real you might punch them?
Tony Stark, Stephen Strange, Sherlock Holmes, Mycroft Holmes, Shawn Spencer, Henry Spencer, Loki...
What are your top 3 favorite tropes of all time?
Oh freaking.... always the impossible narrowing down!! Um...
Kidnapping with a dusting of torture and/or harassment. Don't know if it has a trope name but think Tony Stark in Afghanistan or Sherlock in Serbia
PTSD explored - again, there's a reason Iron Man 3 is my favorite - I just wished we'd gotten more of that.
Helplessness/ greatest fears - basically a typically brash and self confident character suddenly frozen when faced with a terror they can't handle - whether relating to something from their past or something their mind can't comprehend. Similar to PTSD except PTSD is what comes later whereas this one is the event that sets everything off. Tony Stark is yet again my favorite example such as in IM3 when he was vulnerable and about to be attacked by Killian and was frozen and unable to act to help himself.

this is your random reminder to CHECK IF YOU'RE STILL HAVING FUN
are you enjoying scrolling tumblr? watching youtube? reading that book? playing that game? drawing that art? doing that activity? if not,
YOU CAN STOP AND DO SOMETHING ELSE
you don't have to stick to something that you are doing for fun if it isn't fun for you anymore. You can come back! If you've loved it before you are likely to love it again! but you can stop!
Don't get stuck in a loop of doing something that you think should be fun when it isn't! You can put it down for a bit! Maybe that's the very thing that will make it fun again later!

The older I get the more I admire people who are earnestly, genuinely into whatever their thing is. I know it sounds like an annoying cliche but unless you're being cruel or hurtful there is really no need to be normal about things. The dude with the bad fake accent at the renaissance faire is having the time of his life. The people having photoshoots with their fashion dolls are loving it. The old lady with a yard unreasonably full of tacky ass lawn ornaments is having a blast, HOA be damned.
Don't waste your time being too cool to have fun, y'know?
