Now, it is a well known fact that I possess an ability to interpret a piece of media as entirely heterosexual rivalling the fucking Hayes Code. However, with that said, this is complete classic doctor erasure. In no particular order:

The Second Doctor and Jamie definitely had something going on. Unfortunately, little evidence persists due to episode loss, but they reprise their roles together some twenty odd years later in the sixth doctor's era, so that's got staying power.

One of the most foundational events to the Fifth Doctor's character was him losing his good pal Adric, which quite apart from being one of the few proper companion deaths in the entire series was also one he is noteworthy for mourning to an extent normally reserved for like... Rose.

Throughout the entire classic era bar the fucking first doctor, he makes regular contact with a Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart, a relationship which runs deep enough that even the 12th Doctor is still doing stuff to honour his memory. Seeing the way the Doctor normally treats his earth friends, the fact he came back this many times is nothing short of remarkable. Guess who one of the only doctors to never revisit the Brigadier was? 9.

In addition, the Master got his start in the classic era, and there has been chemistry there since day dot. He was originally paired up against the Third Doctor, an incarnation so flamboyant that Ncuti fucking Gatwa cites him for outfit inspiration. He shows up again in the reboot era, of course, but do you want to know who one of the few doctors to never get a master story was? 9.

And finally, speaking of Nine, there's one more important data point to note:

5. Out of every doctor in the show so far, 9 is if anything the one who likes men the least, based on actions alone. He makes a point of taking the piss out of MIckey at every opportunity, he takes a male companion on only to ditch them an episode later, and speaking of ditching, also leaves Captain Jack Harkness behind on an exploding fucking space station while taking Rose with him. To be gay, the ninth Doctor would have to be able to like men in the first place, let alone love them.

To conclude, and with no offence meant to your friend: hah no.

dean winchester and autism because this man is autistic and i will not accept otherwise:

his reaction to sam giving him the giant slinky at the end of 7x14 'plucky pennywhistle's magical menagerie'

actually physically stimming when he enters the bunker with sam in 15x14 'last holiday' and sees the christmas decorations

the boxing episode, 11x15 'beyond the mat', where dean spends the entire episode fanboying and (for lack of a better word) plays in the boxing ring

wearing the same thing (flannel, jeans, in earlier seasons the leather jacket) almost all of the time while not in disguise to work cases

eating the same thing (cheeseburger with extra onions or pie) at almost everywhere they go, as often as he can (about dean winchester and food, i could talk about that for hours he has so many issues with it and it's all john winchester's fault)

his ability to recite movies line for line, and his tendency to communicate almost entirely through references and movie quotes, and expecting people to understand what he means

about references, he makes jokes and references when it's not appropriate, he doesn't understand that something isn't appropriate in a situation where it isn't specifically pointed out to him, and he generally has a pretty messed up sense of empathy and inability to 'read the room'

in 13x06 'tombstone' when they go into the motel and dean talks about the cowboys, identifying all of them and going into quite a bit of detail about a few of them, even though nobody asked him about it and he is absolutely infodumping. 'he really likes cowboys.' 'yes. yes, he does.'

his knowledge of cars, particularly baby, and how he takes her for a ride when he's sad because of the comfort she provides him. also about baby and comfort, the way he offers to let people drive baby when he realises that they're sad, thinking it'll make them feel better as she makes him happy and he doesn't understand how else to help

in 1x03 'dead in the water' he talks to lucas about how he didn't speak as a kid, he plays with the toy soldiers and it doesn't come across as playing with them to make lucas trust him, it actually comes across as him finding genuine enjoyment in it

in 1x15 'the benders' when he's talking to the kid who mentions godzilla, dean brightens immediately and goes off topic talking about his favourite godzilla film, and has to be reminded that he's working a case by sam

the entirety of 14x04 'mint condition', how dean gets to express his interests and be himself and how a lot of people have mentioned that he seems to be genuinely himself in that episode instead of the act he puts on

larping with charlie, no explanation needed

he shuts down when things go badly, often blasting music and ignoring everything and everyone around him

he always picks scissors when playing rock, paper, scissors, and it's actually something that comes up multiple times within the show - in 2x17 'heart', sam says, 'dean, always with the scissors,' and along the same lines, his excitement both times he actually wins the game

in 1x04 'phantom traveller', dean is terrified because of the plane and sam points out that he's humming metallica. he replies that it calms him down, and that just seems very autistic

There's one thing that is driving me crazy about My Love Mix-up Th.

No, it's not that. not that either. not gonna talk about that now. ok. so there are several things but I just wanted to mention a different thing.

What is with the sound? Like I know I'm watching a thai bl, I expect the sound effects and the music and all that. But my ears could not rest for a second. There is no silence. Even when there's suppose to be.

There's a scene where Atom feels awkward because it's too quiet. That would be a great moment to have some silence. You know? for us to understand the mood of the character? so we connect to the scene? But not only is there a tune going on, supposedly to indicate to us that this is 'a moment' that they're having but there's also this static underneath. I actually went to look at other shows from gmmtv on yt to figure out if this was always a thing and it's not.

In this show there's always music, SFXs or dialogue happening, and sometimes all at the same time. And it is not mixed well. The levels are all over the place. It's not pleasant.

I don't wanna pile on but I also wanna mention that the visuals are also not good. The colouring is flat as hell and the lighting is so unpleasant. It's too bright when it's daytime, and the light is always so white. It's not well balanced at all. Like who thought this was a good shot?

Every time they are in a classroom, or inside the school, I feel the need to reach for my sunglasses. And then they go outside and the white is just everywhere. And yes, I know I can adjust the brightness, and the sound too obviously, but I keep my screen at the same comfortable level during the day time, and it's never been a problem with other shows.

In this AU, Caine is a human who works as a bartender, and also often hosts the bar's open mic nights. While clearing out his Dad's stuff after his untimely death, Caine finds an old computer with an unfinished version of an MMO his dad was working on. It never went public, but somehow, there are 6 players online. Those players are the circus members, who are stuck within the game.

I hope artists that participated in shortbox comics fair make their stuff available elsewhere now that it is over. I didn't have the disposable income to be spending that kinda money on digital downloads of short comics which will probably take me <20 minutes to finish. I originally thought it would be like a digital convention where you pay a single fee for access and was disappointed to learn that it is actually just a limited time digital storefront where you pay like $5-$15 to read each short comic, most of the ones I was interested in being more on the $15 CAD side of things. Not unreasonable price at all for the work that went into them, I'm sure, just not what I expected from something with "fair" in the name and which I saw described as a "convention".

Oof ep 18-19 was a bit of a mess for me but the latter half of 19 was wild in a good way.

I really wish the show had the space (and maybe the intention?) to slow-burn its way through the plot because transitions/interludes/passage of time are not really its strong suits and it makes the overall story incredibly bumpy. At the same time I think I prefer binge-ing the episodes so maybe the wait and the smaller doses also contribute to the choppiness I'm feeling (in addition to the missing—what word am I looking for, cartilage?—between scenes).

Also this is trivial but ZYC's costume changes give me a lot of whiplash personally lmao. I lowkey wish there was a bit more rhyme and reason for when he's suddenly in a different (incredibly intricate and gorgeous) outfit or his hair or silhouette is drastically different. Even just a "he's fussy about his appearance/never wears the same thing the same way twice" would be nice for me given everyone else's costume changes are a bit more subtle.

Anyway, crazy things are happening and I do not know how I feel about them!! There's a fair amount I'm looking forward to and a lot that I'm not passing judgment on yet because this show, like MJTY, withholds a lot of information. But I'm pretty uncertain whether what I want to eventually see will pay off enough or whether it'll just go by way too quickly or heavy-handedly for me—but I guess that's what fanfiction is for (-:

im excited for sxs gens but im really unhappy with the state of the pre order stuff tbh. digital players (but not switch players for some reason) getting to play it 3 whole days in advance while people who would rather have a physical copy or wanted the switch version have to wait and get spoiled on everything ? a bunch of bonuses like character skins and an art book and an entire new level being locked behind the digital deluxe edition and inaccessible to people wanting physical copies? i might be wrong but i think geralds diary might be a physical only bonus so youd have to choose between it and all that other stuff unless you feel like dropping a bunch of money on 2 copies which definitely wouldnt be worth it. this whole thing sucks so bad i would be fine with games i like never coming with pre order bonuses ever again if stuff like this would stop happening forever
