Sometimes I wonder if the Poldark writers just realized that their antagonist was so much more interesting than their protagonist and felt like they had to ruin his character because of it.

Kinda obsessed with headcanon, where Damian and Jason just randomly (out of nowhere, completely unprompted) start to referring to their shared past in the League in the middle of the family conversations, while everyone just stare at them in concern
Like
Jason, staring at Dick, trying to put Tim's shoulder back: huh, do you remember that one time-
Damian, instantly: when grandfather's shoulder relocated by itself, but instead of properly putting in on its place, he killed himself and mother threw him in the Lazarus Pit?
Jason, cackling: it was hilarious
Damian, no less amused: right?
Bruce, sitting behind them: (concerned sips of tea)
Or, it is not necessarily funny, but it just cute (or sad) details, regarding each other that others are confused about.
Jason, who accidentally fell asleep in the Batcave: (instinctively cards through his hair as he naps)
Tim, teasing: ladies and gentlemen, the criminal lord of the year--
Damian: Drake, bluntly, that's not funny. Back when he was out of the Pit, this was the only thing that could help him to calm down.
Dick, knowing that this is because Bruce constantly stroked Robin!Jason's hair, when he saw nightmares, with eyes full of tears: oh
Jason on the random Friday night, trying to be less awkward about staying with Bruce in one room: actually, Damian's first word was my name
Bruce: really?
Jason: he had, uh, problems with saying his first word. People around him were constantly speaking on both language at the same time, and, I guess, he couldn't figure out what to say. Then, Ra's said that if his heir doesn't get his word in the next two weeks, he will throw him in the Lazarus Pit (as a joke), but I wasn't sure if it was a joke (Talia said later it was), and I panicked, and since Talia wasn't around, I just kept repeating him her name, or just word Mother, but he just, uh, wouldn't say anything - kept blinking and staring at me like a little idiot. And then on a random night, he just grabbed me by the hair, and said, Jason. Food. And he kinda spoke properly since then. Like in full sentences and stuff. I think he just didn't want to speak with us, actually--
Bruce, getting grey hair out of nowhere: RA'S SAID WHAT--
And sometimes they just speak in Arabic, and Damian keeps bullying Jason that his skills are getting rustier.

My favorite parts of all this, in ascending order:
3. The "researcher" leaping to the confusion conclusion that if Columbus had Jewish DNA, he must have been practicing Judaism in secret, since Jews were banned from Spain... AND THEREFORE, couldn't have been from Genoa, because Jews were also banned there!!
MY GUY. If you can be secretly Jewish in one place, you can be secretly Jewish in another.
2. The number of actual researchers he worked with, who he provides as proof that he definitely got real scientists to check this, who are on record as saying this guy has nothing.
By the time the bones were exhumed in 2003, it was not possible to extract DNA from the bones, Botella explains, adding that he stopped collaborating with the team responsible for the investigation after his initial involvement, not wishing to participate further.
Lorente then said that he was going to analyze the DNA of the three alleged members of the Columbus family with the help of prestigious geneticists, such as Ángel Carracedo from the University of Santiago de Compostela; and Mark Stoneking, from the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, in Leipzig, Germany, one of the world’s most prestigious centers for the analysis of ancient DNA. Carracedo recalls that the DNA that reached him was tremendously degraded, and he too distanced himself from the project. Moreover, he refuses to comment on Lorente’s new results until there is a serious scientific study published in a specialized journal.
The response of the Max Planck Institute geneticist to questions from EL PAÍS were similar: “I am sorry, my group stopped working on this in 2005 and I have not heard anything about the most recent results,” said Stoneking.
1. The fact that Spain wants to claim genocidal rapist Christopher Columbus on the basis that in 1492, it forced 300,000 Jews to either leave or convert, and about 300 of them sailed to Genoa and had to beg to be allowed to stay long enough to fix their trashed ships, whereupon most of them fucking died on the piers when winter hit.
(In total contradiction of the so-called researcher's claim, I just found this contemporary account from an Italian Jew in 1495....)
When the edict of expulsion became known in the other countries, vessels came from Genoa to the Spanish harbors to carry away the Jews. The crews of these vessels, too, acted maliciously and meanly toward the Jews, robbed them, and delivered some of them to the famous pirate of that time who was called the Corsair of Genoa. To those who escaped and arrived at Genoa the people of the city showed themselves merciless, and oppressed and robbed them, and the cruelty of their wicked hearts went so far that they took the infants from the mothers' breasts.
If Columbus HAD been Jewish, AND had been a decent human being who didn't kidnap people into sexual slavery and force them to convert to Christianity, which by the way doesn't sound very crypto-Jewish, SPAIN STILL WOULDN'T GET TO CLAIM HIM.
The PRESUMPTION. The UNMITIGATED GALL. The absolute CHUTZPAH of BOASTING ABOUT SUCH A THING, AND THEN BASING IT UPON YOUR ETHNIC CLEANSING OF THE JEWS.
Honestly, if I weren't positive it was gonna be weaponized to Prove Jews Love Genocide, I would say they can have him.
They can have him.
But only if they admit he wasn't Jewish.
a lot bugs me about the "christopher colombus was secretly jewish" thing thats been making the news.
primarily the timing of it: in a time where antisemitism is rising, where many are considering jews to be (primarily white and european) colonizers, here is one of the most famous colonizers of all, christopher colombus, a secret (always secret; those sneaks) jew!
but besides that, there's something very obvious to anyone that knows judaism: dna doesn't make someone jewish. the primary 'evidence' for colombus being jewish is dna (which, while it is most likely his, it may not be). every article's quotation is this:
"And both in the Y chromosome (male) and in the mitochondrial DNA (transmitted by the mother) of Hernando there are traits compatible with Jewish origin."
"traits compatible with jewish origin". its a very vague term. it doesn't really impart a solid understanding that colombus is jewish; and him being jewish, from what i can tell, also contradicts past understanding of his origin (genoa) as well as his actions (forced conversion of native americans, a deep connection and religiosity based in christianity).
even if this dna evidence is correct, however, him having jewish heritage does not make him jewish. saying that he is jewish based solely on dna reflects a blood-based understanding of jewish identity that echoes back to antisemitic purges like the holocaust. saying that he, a deeply catholic / christian person, is jewish erases colombus' actual faith, and states that personal choice / conversion / professed beliefs are inferior to having jewish blood.
the fun part is, this isn't even a new antisemitic lie / exaggeration. even back in 2012, cnn has been trying to claim that colombus was jewish. his colonization of america was actually all part of his plan to get money to take back jerusalem. it also includes other arguments, like that him leaving money to charitable causes in his will is a sign of judaism.
there's also a paper that discusses this, and how its much, much older than even 2012. i havent verified it, but it may be useful reading for some; it also mentions that the theory gained popularity in the 1930s as the 'jewish question' "was very much on the public mind".

Wait, the tsun event has a whole bit dedicated to Malleus bragging about what kitchen appliances he knows how to use? Twst EN just got the milk culinary crucible, which means at the same time Malleus is showing off, the entirety of the EN players are learning Leona doesn't know how to use a microwave. The timing really just makes it feel like Malleus is flexing on Leona XD
it's in Mal's card story rather than in the event proper, but yep! after teaching his tsum proper microwave usage, he takes it on a tour and very proudly shows off his extensive knowledge of household appliances. (except when he thinks his tsum fell into the washing machine and doesn't know how to unlock the lid, so he just. explodes it instead. hashtag just diasomnia things. 🤷)
I do think he and Leona should get into a fight about who has done a better job of learning how to use kitchen tools! Leona has the advantage of having grown up in the modern world, but Malleus has the motivation to actually do literally anything. who will win

eddie: would you rather be a ghost or a zombie?
steve: neither
eddie: that's not an option
steve: why not?
eddie: because i said so
steve: oh, so now you're suddenly on board with conformity?
eddie: what are you talking about
steve: you're trying to push me into these boxes, denying my freedom to be who i want to be
eddie: why are you like this
steve: this is literally what bie-erasure is like, eddie
eddie: how is it that everytime we talk about this shit with robin you're dead silent, but you're suddenly an activist when it's time to annoy me?
steve, at night, right as eddie is about to fall asleep: i'd choose ghost, by the way
eddie: *springs up and tickles him until he's literally in tears*
