(all scenes are depicted as platonic)
So every Inktober I try to do something more challenging, and this year I thought I would make a short comic/fanfic. I think I got the idea for this one a year ago but I was already wrapped up with another Inktober. Eventually I solidified the idea by making my own prompt list some time ago.
This comic is split into three parts with 10 days focusing on each of them, 30 in total, everything is compiled here. I wanted to post them after October in case I wanted to change anything.
This first part takes place in the summit.
The comic is basically all improvised, that means no planning for the composition, plot, or sketching any drawings. The most planning I did was write a few scripts ahead of time within the month to save me some time but most of them would be changed last minute anyways.
As for the plot, I won't go too deep into it because I don't want to talk too much, so you'll just find commentary on the making of the comic and stuff.
This first part is a little gimmick-y compared to the next two, with new elements appearing almost every day. It’s because I relied a lot on the prompts (dog, milk, etc.) to keep things happening, eventually I move further away from them.
What is surprising to me is how much the art changes as the days go by especially within the span of one month. I did refine a few things to keep it more consistent but this is nearly indistinguishable from the original drawings.
I should also mention that my favourite aspect of this project was adding references to the game and subtle details (if you can find it all, awesome!!) This may have been done quickly but I like to have those things and put at least a bit of effort into the dialogue.
Part 2
Eventually I figured that drawing the same setting for 30 days straight would drive me insane, hence why this comic is split like it is. I’m glad I did because it makes the story a little more interesting, seeing the characters have different attitudes in different places and whatnot.
This one takes place in the cave directly after pt 1. Admittedly I do better drawing outdoor settings, it's what I'm used to, but the cave wasn't so bad to figure out.
I remember these two days I was streaming drawing the comic to my friends, so I kinda zoned out while we were talking lol
One of the prompts was about napping, so I made Dwarf sleep. I believe I was tired that day too and it was therapeutic to draw and include that. Also they look cute, I think.
18 & 19 have some of my favourite drawings in the comic. The campfire lighting is what we'd get if I had a bit more energy each day, and I like the perspective in the first panel of 19.
I find this last section interesting, because of all the 30 days, it’s the only one in Dwarf’s POV. I felt like it was fitting to do something like that at the time.
Part 3
Since we were approaching Halloween, I wanted to have a special part for it. It’s related to the other two parts but it takes place some time after. I’m really sorry it’s out of season, if it were up to me I would have had this post out earlier (thank my midterms for the delay)
Out of all the other parts this one is my favourite. Maybe because it’s more recent I’m inclined to think that way but it has some of my fave moments that I've written here.
Other than that I don't have much commentary for this part. More thoughts at the end!
I was caught up everyday atp, but I didn’t have much spare time to prepare for the ending (I wrote it the morning of that day). I think this is a decent conclusion though.
I intend on coming back to this story, maybe next year to make a continuation but we'll see what happens. There are definitely things that I want to come back to someday.
Thank you for making it this far btw. It's been an eventful month for me beyond this (Untitled) comic, but there wasn't a single aspect of this that I didn't enjoy doing. It's a silly project and I care about it.
Also, I'm not going to neglect the 31st of October! That day will get an illustration, where I will pick my favourite panel and redraw it. I want to take my time with this one so it's not out yet, but hopefully I can finish by Christmas.
#long post#stardew valley#sdv dwarf#krobus#sdv fanart#sdv#stardew valley dwarf#sdv krobus#stardew valley krobus#if you have thoughts on this comic feel free to share#i havent gone too into detail especially with the plot rn so i would love to discuss about it more if prompted

Is it less offensive to have my black sheriff be a scaredy-cat or trigger-happy?
joeyyygunslinger asked:
I’m conceptualizing a wild-west (I haven't and never will pick a state/year, it's just a generic wild-west setting) black comedy comic series. The main characters are a pair of sheriffs who work together more often than not, one Black and the other White. I want one to be fiery-tempered and trigger-happy (To the point where, in just about every other cover I’ve sketched so far, he has his gun out and is asking the other guy, “Can I shoot it?”), and the other an over-cautious scaredy-cat… And neither of these personalities seem to be a very PC one to give to a Black guy, so which one would be less offensive?
Technically, you can give the character whatever persona you see fit. From there, flesh them out to be more than the traits you mentioned. Show us why they’re the way they are and how they’re more than that. As often stated, it helps to have more characters of the identity if you’re unsure about stereotypes and characterization.
Objectively, a cautious, scared Black man character is less (potentially) stereotypical than one with a temper and trigger-happy. The former recalls Angry Black Person, Scary Black Man and Violent Men of Color tropes. One might argue the scaredy-cat Black man has notes of emasculation, but personally this kind of personality is way less encountered. Exploring a softer, cautious Black man character would be interesting to me (speaking as a Black woman. I’d love to hear from more Black men and people!).
Do not write from a place of fear
I do want to address your comments on being Politically Correct and less offensive. I’m not a fan of those words when it comes to representation. Maybe it’s the snide connotations of the word, often accompanied by a derisive attitude. Maybe it’s just me! But I just don’t love proper and preferred representation being equated to it.
I would like to take the more positive approach.
For one, being respectful and including proper representation vs deliberate or even thoughtless exclusion, should be the focus. Not which choice will step on fewer toes. Writing from a place of fear and extreme caution is stifling. It snuffs out your creativity and will have you questioning your every move. I get that it's natural to feel that way when exploring new territory, but we must learn to be courageous as writers and write against the fear. Your work will turn out much more fluent and natural when you do.
On the other hand, it’s definitely important to build enough knowledge and do the research so you'll have this confidence on hand while you write. This will help create a story with characters that are less like carefully curated caricatures meant to cause the least amount of offensive as possible.
While you should absolutely:
Be aware of stereotypes and what could be offensive as you build your characters and story.
Question your choices and trace the logic of why you made them.
You should also:
Focus on writing varied, complex people.
Let your knowledge guide and inspire you, do continuous research, but not let it fully stop all momentum.
Use the editing, sensitivity read process, and revisions to correct and adjust your work.

Mionn's art & writing ship trade event
(Click the art for better quality!)
I'm hosting an art & writing event centered around ships & duos (multifandom)!
🖤 REBLOGS ARE SUPER APPRECIATED
♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
I've recently reached 200 followers on this blog, 900 on my meme blog, and 100 on Instagram!! Honestly, I don't even know what to say... I feel so damn honored and am so grateful for the support!! 🖤🖤🙏
As a multi-milestone celebration as well as an event for the official Spade of Storms (Deuce x Allen) day, which is on the 27th of July, I decided to host a TRADE EVENT!!!
Basically, this event is going to be an open art/writing trade that's all about ships (or platonic duos).
The event starts on 7/23 (today) and lasts for rest of July as well as for the entirety of August. For every Allen x Deuce art/writing that I receive during this duration, you get one of your own ship from ANY FANDOM back!
♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
Why am I hosting this?
it's a way to thank everyone for three different follower milestones
a contest/DTIYS/raffle wouldn't promise that everyone gets something back, so I went for a trade event
the event allows me to post more about other canon TWST characters and draw them while not having to neglect Allen x Deuce
I wanna make new mutuals & friends, get to know more ships, and strengthen friendships with mutuals I already have!
Artfight is/was tons of fun, but I only do/did colored sketches there & ships are a tricky subject. Meanwhile, I'll do ANYTHING here!
♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
Basic information:
Make a drawing/writing/comic of Allen x Deuce. (Ideas can be found in this post's pink "starters for my ship" section.)
Post it on your blog, tag me in it, and refer to my event. (While posting is by far preferred — especially for bigger artworks and written stuff — you can also just DM it to me.)
In return, you'll receive a gift of the same type for your own ship from any fandom (OC x canon, canon x canon, OC x OC)! I'll DM you about the ship, so make sure that your DMs are open.
For example: If you submit a sketch, you'll get a sketch back. If you submit a fully shaded drawing, I'II make a fully shaded drawing for you, too. If you add a background, I'll (do my best to) do the same. If you write a drabble... You know the drill!
ANYONE can join, whether you follow me or not! However, new followers through the event are super appreciated!
EVENT TIME: July 23th (today) - August 31st
Anything submitted before or after this event duration will not receive anything back (unless we explicitly do a trade), but be held in high regard nonetheless!
♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
Rules:
The portrayal of Allen x Deuce must be shippy/romantic.
Please keep angst at a minimum unless it has a happy ending. Comfort is allowed.
Please DO NOT add your own OC or another canon character to the submission. Including them in the background as a wingman or something is alright, though. Additionally, any kind of romantic implications between Deuce and another character/OC are NOT allowed.
Please no NSFW. Harmless implications and slight spice are okay, but keep in mind that these characters are both minors.
AUs are very much allowed! All the previous rules apply here, too, and I'm willing to give an overview of some AUs via DMs.
Please no genderbending.
Please DO NOT draw Allen or Deuce as a standalone character. This is a SHIP event for a reason.
Please don't change their appearances too much, especially when it comes to the color schemes & body types.
Giving them different outfits — especially event outfits — is absolutely cool (yes, you can draw Allen in a skirt if you wanna), and changing their hairstyles is okay as long as they still look like themselves.
This is NOT A DTIYS event, so please DO NOT redraw one of my Allen x Deuce arts. Please come up with something original.
If you have any more questions, please DM me!
♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
What CAN you submit?
drawings // comics // writings // animatics
For drawings, anything from a quick sketch to an extremely detailed drawing with a background is allowed! You'll get something of the same quality back. The same also goes for writings/fanfics.
Animatics will receive a drawing in return.
What CAN'T be submitted?
Gacha videos // edits // memes
-> You can theoretically submit all of these and I'd appreciate them, but I wouldn't be able to give you anything back.
Memes refer to funny pictures that simply have Allen & Deuce's faces in them. DRAWN memes/meme redraws count as DRAWINGS.
♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
Starters for Allen x Deuce
Got no clue what to draw/write about?
Check out the few already existing Allen x Deuce posts on this blog for proper lore and facts.
Check @spade-of-storms for fun facts, shorter rambles and additional info.
In any case, you can't go wrong with simple fluffy, romantic scenarios! Dates, kisses, cuddles, whatever!
For information about Allen himself, please check my pinned post.
♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
Q&A:
I want to join the event, but I don't have any ship (OC x canon, canon x canon, OC x OC) you could draw/write about for me in return.
That's okay! In that case, I'll gladly draw/write about two separate characters or a platonic duo for you.
Can I do multiple submissions for this event?
Obviously, and every single one will be "revenged"!
Can I get something of another type/quality back? For example, can I get a fully shaded drawing for my sketch, or art for my drabble?
Unfortunately not, as I prefer to always give something of the same type back. There are only the following two exceptions that I AM willing to do:
you do a drabble/oneshot —> I do a sketch
you do any type of art —> I write a drabble/oneshot
Is there anything you refuse to draw/write about?
Deuce ships (other than Deuce x Allen). NSFW. Family x family. Minor x adult. Any ship considered to be problematic.
How do I tell you about the ship I want you to draw/write about for me?
I'll DM you after you post your event submissions.
Do you prefer to do OC x canon, canon x canon, or OC x OC?
I have a bias towards OC x canon and canon x canon ships. However, I'm willing to do any ship that's not problematic! In the case of OC x OC, I simply need you to provide information on two OCs instead of one only.
Will you do poly ships?
In order to keep things fair, no. But I could include the third party as a plush or chibi head.
I want to make Allen x Deuce content for you, but not receive anything in return.
That's also super appreciated anytime (and totally doesn't make me freak out /pos)! Simply share it as a gift and don't mention the event.
How long is it going to take you to finish your "revenge" on me?
It depends on the type of submission you make & what I'm giving you back. Some things can be done within a day while others may take much longer, but either way, you WILL get something of the SAME TYPE back & that's guaranteed.
♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
Personal notes:
My health isn't the best and I also have a job. Please be respectful and don't rush me nor get mad when I'm being slow.
Please do not start a discussion nor get mad at me if I refuse to draw/write about a ship I deem problematic & want you to pick another one instead. Preferably pick a ship that's by far NOT problematic from the beginning.
I'm unwilling to draw/write about any Deuce ships other than Deuce x Allen because I kin Deuce a ton and tend to feel uncomfortable with many of his ships, so please don't ask for any. I'm asking you to not start a discussion over this, either.
I won't post everything I make for the event on this blog. Sketches and writings will either be DMed to you or posted on one of my other blogs.
♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
That's it for now! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to DM me.
And again, thank you so much for 200 followers!
♤ Happy trading! ♤

Welcome to the Dream SMP Sixteenth Day Event!
This is an event designed to celebrate the Dream SMP's iconic 16th day of the month! Use a personalized prompt to create piece of art, writing, or something else that can be shared on the 16th!
Sign-up: CLOSED
This event is primarily focused on the DREAM SMP STORYLINE AND CHARACTERS, NOT the content creators. This is mainly because I don't know enough about the content creators to give prompts for them. However, if you can find a way to link the prompt you receive to the content creators instead of their characters, feel free to do so!
This event also TOLERATES ALL DREAM SMP CHARACTERS. Any negativity towards other participants is cause for a block. If you find that the content reblogged here makes you uncomfortable, you're very welcome to unfollow this event blog while still participating yourself!
How to participate:
Fill out the linked sign-up form to identify your Dream SMP interests. This information will determine what kind of prompt you get for creating your own work.
Approximately a week before the 16th, you'll get two asks from this blog in your inbox, each ask containing a brief prompt based on your interests. Choose one of the prompts. The reason there are two prompts is just to give you a choice in case you don't like one of them; you don't have to complete them both! If you strongly dislike both of your prompts, let me know so I can send more.
Use your choice of prompt to create a piece of art, writing, or something else—whatever you like! But remember, don't post it until the 16th of the month.
This is NOT a gift exchange, as all the prompts will come straight from me, the event-runner, NOT from other participants. This means that there is no expectation of quality, nor is there a minimum or maximum amount you can create. Works are only assumed to be small. You could write an entire novel or a single sentence; you could draw a 100-page comic or a 1-minute sketch; it's all welcome! You could even drop out at any time. Filling out the sign-up form only means that you will receive a prompt; it does not mean that you have to participate. This event is supposed to be as stress-free as possible.
On the 16th of the month, post your work! This could be as a direct response to the ask with your chosen prompt, or it could be a separate post. Either way, just remember to @ this blog and use the tag #sixteenthdayevent so I can reblog anything you create!
Event run by @elmhat.

HI I JUST SAW YOUR INCREDIBLE SHERLOCK AND CO COMIC YOU MADE AND I WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO TALK ABOUT THE PROCESS AND THE SYMBOLISM AND INTRICACIES AND EVERYTHING PLEASE ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
GOD THANK U ok if i actually talked about EVERYTHING i would be here forever and ever, there were things about the process where it kept surprising me and i kept adding stuff.
I talk about my general comic process here , it started out mostly the same for this one. Analysis of the script, sketches, panel and colour blocking
The scene from Mr Sherlock Holmes presented me with a unique challenge (for me) because...usually I pick scenes from the podcast that are instantly visually stimulating. This scene is NOT that. It's sort of unclear and confusing and even the emotive narrative is sort of hard to pick out. Those things I had to sort of decide for myself. It's hard to draw a whole scene like this without first deciding what the scene is about, what its purpose is. If you go back and listen to the episode along with the comic you'll notice all sorts of changes and tonal shifts - that's because of me and my decision making.
I decided that the direction I wanted to go in was to show John having his realization about himself, his podcast, and Sherlock, showing him getting pulled into, yes, Sherlock's world, but also the world of the podcast as an adaptation. I knew i could do this just with colour, but if you've seen my other comics, you know i almost always use colour to show shifts. I guess I had some insecurity about doing the same thing over and over again so I pushed myself to think of other ways I could accomplish it visual. Enter: rendering technique
I will say I didn't expect this effect to make John seem so SAD and MISERABLE, i only wanted to show him getting pulled in, but its effective for his emotions in this scene as well. Scanning drawings into the computer sort of flattens the paper texture, so I started adding photos of the pages of A Study in Scarlet to make him feel more paper-y. And then, of course, realised i could use that to further elaborate on John's inner thoughts, backgrounds, and motivations. People are welcome to interpreted that how they like and i've seen a number of variations, but to me it operates on sort of a meta level, showing the inevitability of what John is going through. He's a Watson, he's always going to follow Holmes, he's going to try and figure him out, and that's why you sort of see a back and forth between acd and pod Watson, highlighting the ways in which they are similar, and then, John breaks off and becomes his own character, still with those foundations but also entirely different.
there's one piece of text that i haven't seen anyone pick up on or mention and I'm starting to think it's gone unnoticed because it's in an unexpected spot. I won't mention what or where because it is, for now, a very indulgent little secret.
I notice a lot of people are getting a kick out of Sherlock playing with the speech bubbles, which I am so pleased by because I almost didn't do it! I thought i was maybe breaking something in the comic but it was so fun that i didn't care and I'm so glad it came across well. It operates on a lot of levels, it shows his thought process, it plays into that fourth-wall medium play i've got going on, and it feeds into the web metaphor as well as visually showing him roping John in.
on the topic of Sherlock, I feel a lot of people are rather focused on John, which is understandable (he's the main event) but Sherlock has a lot of details I love too.
For instance, him pushing his hair back and putting on a coat when the officer arrives, almost like he's shifted modes, and then his hair falling back down when he gets excited and John starts to understand.
I really love this moment of Sherlock seeing John's potential for interest in mysteries when he's trying to solve the matter of what Sherlock Does, and being surprised and flattered for a moment (until John messes it up again)
John copying Sherlock's pose <3
There's deliberate things in the character design as well, things like the fact that once John comes into colour, it reveals that he's actually wearing more colour than anyone else in the scene, and the fact that the grey in John's hair only appears post-greyscale. Things you are welcome to read into. And there are, of course, the socks, which I've seen people pick up on.
Those are the main things for now so i might leave it there, but thank you so much for your ask and i'd be pleased to elaborate further on absolutely anything!
#sherlock & co#sherlock and co#thankuuuu i lvoe yapppingggg#seeing people pick it apart has been so satisfying and validating im so pleased with how it turned out and how people are reacting to it

welt x reader, 1.6k
note: 🤪 im like not even caught up but i love this gilf tew much okay bye. My first reader fic on da blog, blease be nice 2 me <3
content notes: ❗️❗️🔞🔞🔞❗️❗️ explicit smut here, minors do NOT interact!!! Reader is gender neutral, no specific references to pronouns/body type/genitalia for reader, brief oral sex, penetrative sex, reader calls welt “mr yang” a lot 🥴
The Astral Express is quiet. You've finally returned after another long and difficult journey on another strange, new planet. Everyone else has retired to their own rooms for a well deserved rest, but you still wander the halls. Mr. Yang had stayed behind for this assignment and to say that you felt his absence was an understatement.
You had lasted all of five minutes in your own bed before throwing off the covers and deciding to seek him out. Without the exhaustion of adventure weighing him down, he's likely still awake, perhaps poring over a newspaper from your latest excursion. You make sure to bring one back for him if he's not there; he says it's so he can get a better idea of what effect the Stellaron's had on the planet, but you see how quickly he turns to the comic strips. You'll catch him doodling the characters later, sometimes changing their features, doing two and three different sketches that he thinks you won't see.
You're only half right. You find him almost exactly as you'd imagined when you slip into his room, except his brows are furrowed. He's tapping a pencil against the paper.
“Need any help, Mr. Yang?”
He looks at you briefly before returning to his crossword puzzle. "Evening. And yes."
You smile and saunter towards him, crawling onto the bed eagerly. He opens his arms without prompting, allowing you to settle into his lap with your back to his chest. He has most of it filled out already, with only the bottom left grid glaringly empty. Mr. Yang is one of the smartest people, which is why you like to tease him when he has to ask you for help with these things, but he's also the most mature, which accounts for the good natured chuckle you typically get in response.
"What's the clue?"
"Eight letters. 'Hot term for a recent admirer.'"
You make a show of scrunching up your face and delicately take the pencil from him. Your handwriting isn't quite as neat as his, but finds a certain charm in it.
Welt hums appreciatively. "'New flame.' I think you could be right."
You beam. "Bested by the newcomer, Mr. Yang. You'll have to ask me to explain strange things out in the wild next time we leave the Express."
He chuckles. He thinks it's cute when you try to tease him like this; you're all bark and no bite, really. You fold as soon as he gets his hands on you.
Like right now, as his fingers ghost over your thigh. You lean into it as much as you can, but he's so good at holding back. It's the sweet sting of having someone like Welt for a lover: a wealth of experience to keep you satisfied for hours on end, but the patience and precision needed to keep you just on edge until he thinks you're ready.
"Did you need something?" He says it so casually, like he doesn't know your skin is burning underneath him.
You turn your head to look at him. It's there again, that little bit of sharpness in his gaze that seems to go right through you. He's already thinking about all the ways he can unmake you.
"Just you," you say, waiting the precious few moments it takes for the spark to ignite.
Welt kisses you, softly at first. His hands roam over your thighs, just ghosting underneath your sleep shorts. You whine the third time he does it, unable to handle the loss of his touch. He pulls away.
“Patience.”
You pout. He notices everything. “I’m not impatient.”
He humphs in disbelief. “Don’t make a sound until I tell you to.”
Any other night, you might protest his rigidity. Be the brat he likes you to be, until you’re a sobbing mess in hands, begging him to just fuck you and stop teasing. Tonight, however, you’re inclined towards obedience. You hush up and wait the agonizing few moments that he waits, watching for any sign of defiance. Satisfied, he kisses you again, hungrier this time, sliding his tongue over yours. You hold back a moan when he digs his fingers into your thighs.
Welt pushes you down. He trails his lips down your body, over your chest, your sensitive nipples. He halts just below your belly button, kissing the skin lightly while he pulls down your shorts. You shiver once your exposed to the cool air.
Anticipation burns inside you when he pulls your leg up and over his shoulder. He slowly teases your entrance with his tongue, giving it slow, featherlight licks that he soon follows up with a finger.
“Mr. Yang,” you say, unable to resist calling out as he speeds up.
He doesn’t respond, choosing to punish you instead by letting up. He knows it’s agony, feeling his warm breath on you where you need him most.
It’s too much. You give up on obedience and let desperation take hold as you grab at welt’s shoulders and pull him in to kiss you. Your taste lingers on his tongue. “Mr. Yang, please…“
Welt palms at your ass. It’s a nice reminder that he’s far more affected by you than he typically comes off. Although his words are often measured and his tone even, the way he touches you is nothing short of ravenous.
“Tell me what you need, sweetheart.”
You’re on the brink of tears now. Your legs are locked around his hips, his fingers are rubbing and pinching your nipple. He knows, but he likes to make you say it. “Mr. Yang, please, please,”
He doesn’t budge. You reach for the drawstring on his pants yourself, but he grabs your hand and brings it to his mouth instead. “You can speak, can’t you? Use your words.”
You watch as he pulls your finger into his mouth, sucking on it lightly. He’ll keep going, ignoring your pleas while he toys with you long past the rising of the sun. He’s done it before.
You draw a shaky breath.
“Mr. Yang, I need you inside me.”
You wait for his response. He almost looks bored, that half-awake look he gets when he’s quizzing you on the values of each Aeon with hands roaming across your chest.
He kisses your palm. “Keep going.”
“Welt,” his given name falls from your lips, a strained whisper that sets Welt on edge, “please fuck me, I can’t take it anymore, please.“
Welt lets go of your hand. He disentangles himself from you fully, ignoring your desperate whines. You hear his pants fall to the floor and then he’s hovering over you again, sliding a hand under your shoulder.
“Turn around.”
You hear him, but you’re too distracted by the sight of his weeping cock to really pay attention. He sighs and gently lifts you, maneuvering you so you’re on your hands and knees with your back to him.
Tears of relief fall down your face when Welt drapes himself over your back. You feel him lining himself up with your entrance. You shudder when he finally enters you. His grip on your waist tightens. He lets his cock stay sheathed in you for an agonizing moment before he pulls out and starts to set a rhythm. The slow friction stirs something in Welt; he lets go of your waist and covers your hand with his own. He curses above you and moves in closer, his breath warm against the shell of your ear.
“I want to hear you. Please,” Welt gasps. It makes your heart skip.
You call out to him, moaning his name in a quiet voice that gets louder and louder as his thrusts quicken. Your words become more frantic, endless declarations of how much you need him interrupted by broken sobs of pleasure. Welt speaks your name, too, in between ragged breaths and the rapid stuttering of his hips, curses falling from his lips in a constant prayer.
“Mr. Yang,” you say, because you know how his breathing stops when you call him that, just like the first time it did when he had you on your knees in his bedroom, “Mr. Yang, I love you.”
Welt’s final thread of composure snaps. He hooks his arm around your throat and buried his face in your neck. His hips slap against you harder than before, but he still has the presence of mind to reach down and tease you one last time to put you over the edge. Waves of ecstasy roll through as you give one final, strangled shout.
Welt follows soon after, his thrusts becoming increasingly erratic until he buries himself to the hilt and groans deep into your skin. You both slump forward, breathing heavily. He kisses your neck sloppily before finally pulling out with a sigh. He pulls you once to get you to clean up, but you don’t budge, a telltale look of bliss on your face. He gives up and leaves you, returning with clean cloths to wipe you down. You watch him from the corner of your eye as he flips you onto your back and takes care of you.
“Thanks, Welt.”
He smiles softly, but doesn’t look at you, focused on his task. He climbs back into the bed once he’s done, flat on his back. You lean over and rest your head on his chest.
Exhaustion weighs you down suddenly. Even though you left the mission early to see Welt, the trip back to the express hadn’t been easy. It feels like you’ll drift off into sleep as soon as you close your eyes. So you do, but not before reaching up to kiss Welt just under his chin.

I'd like to join the kind words dogpile that seems to be happening and thus! I've been following your art stuff for a long time and have always gotten HUGE enjoyment out of it. I've loved every moment of your hanamusa comics from the get-go!
I love that weight gain is shown as a sign not just of health but of HEALING with Jessie's character, something not just to be accepted but actively celebrated. Because she is safer, stabler, better cared for. I love equally that James and Meowth are a part of that, both as Jessie's friends, for her recovery, and for their own separate paths forward. It's all just a wonderful cartoon villain redemption story, right up my alley.
Additionally, within the past year, year and a half range, I've slowly started drawing again. For most of my life I drew for at least a while every single day. I was never not dreaming up stories and there's still nothing I love more than sharing the little worlds inside my head, but things were pretty rough and unstable for my family for a couple of years and its impact on my mental and physical health led to my ceasing to draw almost entirely for those couple of years.
Having the energy and luxury to pursue art again has been a healing step and I'm slowly getting back into a groove of trying to sketch a bit daily. I'm having to relearn a lot of things that used to feel almost as natural as breathing, so it's often as draining and frustrating as it is cathartic and fun.
It's been so long since I did much of anything with my own ideas and stories that I often feel tapped out on creative fuel, but following the hanamusa arc and seeing how much joy other people take in it- and most importantly that you take in it and in sharing it- have helped revive a lot of love and inspiration for my own takes on the Ketchum family and my still intense and deep love of the anime series. My portrayals and such are wildly different from the adventure of hanamusa, but I love them both and have been grateful for the courage and persistence the presence of your art and writing have lent me. So you have my sincere thanks for simply Being, and for sharing of yourself and your ideas!
I know you doubtlessly get a LOT of messages every single day, so I hope you'll not feel a need to reply to this one because there is no need at all. If and when you have a chance to read this, I do hope it brightens your day a bit, like jessie. ash and delia always brighten mine. Be well, and I hope this coming year will be full of positive experiences for you!
aw thank you, i really appreciate it! (and thank you to everyone else who's been sending nice asks)
it makes me happy to hear you've been able to start drawing again! drawing and sharing my art makes me feel so at peace and happy and i only hope it makes anyone else who does art feel the same
best of luck with all your art making endeavors!

The Curious Case of Hetalia's Scotland
I will never get over what I like to call "The Curious Case of Hetalia's Scotland." Not only because I find it funny, but because to me, this is something that demonstrates the pure power of fandom and fanon.
Because for the longest time, we didn't really have Scotland in the series. Like, we knew he was technically a canon character, seeing as he was mentioned by England a time or two before, but we had no design or skits of him at the time. Not to mention those comments were only made in the comics, which many fans didn't read, seeing as many of us only stuck to the anime for the longest time (which is me, I am many fans. I am still trying to find the courage to read the manga aside from little panels I find online).
And so, what did the Hetalia fandom do? Well, the fandom did what the fandom does best... Taking matters into their own hands and creating their own design for the character/country.
I'm not gonna put an actual picture of the fanon design here because I don't want to repost anyone's art without their permission, but if you look up "hetalia scotland" on google, and then click on "images", you'll get the picture of what I'm thinking of. A tall guy with pale skin, bright green eyes, fiery red hair, and wearing a cobalt-blue suit with two white sashes across the front. A man who literally just looks like a human personification of the Scottish flag.
Now, I have no idea who came up with the fanon design for Scotland. I've looked, and I genuinely cannot find out who the first person was who drew him. But regardless, this is the design that the fandom largely latched onto. So much so to the point where you had people making fanart, fanfics, and even cosplays of this character. People even collectively decided on his personality, interests, what his relationships with other the characters were like, etc. (This can all be found on the fan character wiki). It even got to a point where I, as well as many others, genuinely started to believe that this was the canon design/version of the character for the longest time. Primarily because we just didn't know any better.
In short, the fanon version of aph Scotland spread far and wide throughout the fandom, and everyone seemed to just largely accept him, even to the point of believing he was canon.
And then one day, Himaruya drops this sketch.
He posted this and said that the characters here were Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. However, he didn't say who was who, so we were left to guess which character was which at the time. We were getting closer to a canon Scotland but were still unsure which one he was. And even then, you had people who still clung to the fanon version.
And the later, Himaruya formally introduced Scotland in the comics and even released this piece of official, beautiful art.
Fully illustrated designs of all of the UK brothers. England, Northern Ireland, Wales... And Scotland.
This was it. We, as the fandom, finally had our canonical version of Scotland, as well as the rest of the UK brothers. But let's be real here, when it came to fanon-created characters, the fans largely latched onto Scotland.
And what did a large chunk of the fandom do?
That's right. I dunno about everyone else in the fandom, but in the fan spaces I was in, you had a large chunk of people who took one look at the canon design and thought to themselves, "Yeaaah no. We like our version better."
And I just... This is still so funny and wild to me.
Imagine waiting years to get a character design, and when the design finally comes out, you have since become so married to a fanon design, that when you look at the canon design, you go, "No thanks."
It seems like people have become much more accepting of the canonical design of aph Scotland over time (and I'm happy for that), but even so, the sheer reach and influence that the fanon design of Scotland had is nothing short of amazing to me.
Anyway, there you go, that's my ramble for the day.

Hi! I made an account just so I could follow your work. Your art is brilliant and honestly and inspiration to where I want to be. I’m an older artist who has all the anxiety when it comes to improving my process. I’m trying to get into digital portraits and I have so many ideas in my head, but it’s frustrating because I’m not where I want to be to make this happen. What are some tricks that help you/software do you use? Of course, you don’t have to share anything that makes you uncomfortable. I currently have procreate and an iPad, but I feel a little lost. Wondering if I need a different writing tablet and photoshop. Not sure. I just eventually want to find that 3D, but also artistic look you are able to achieve.
hey there! thank you so much!!
ultimately, I will sound like a broken record but I always recommend you sign up for local figure drawing or painting classes. have people pose for you at home and sketch with charcoal and paper. go to the zoo and sit down in front on an exhibit for an hour and try to draw the animals in front of you as fast as you can and fill a couple of pages, move on to a new exhibit and do it again!
nothing is more powerful of a tool to learn than whatever writing utensil you have in your purse and the back of a napkin when you see something you'd like to capture. I've spent quite frankly my entire rememberable life doing this. I used to spend every single day in middle school/high school/my brief failed stint in community college with a pack of cheap sharpies and a beat up binder full of old worksheets and homework to draw on the backs of.
drawing/painting from life will teach you better than anything.
I use a very outdated version of Photoshop, and only got a "nice" tablet in the past 7 months.
Also, a huge tip to you and anyone else reading this: do NOT get too focused on a "style" that you want. Obsessing over that just ruined me for years and years. I wanted so, so, so badly to be the next Matsuri Hino when I was a kid. I copied her work religiously and it NEVER looked right. Frustrated me to no end. And you know why my stuff never looked like hers? Because I'm not her! You can't force your art to come out any way that isn't natural, and the sooner you can accept the art your hand wants to create, the happier you'll be and the easier art will get for you.
The past couple of years before I started diving into this more realism based work, I was just shoving myself through trying to make what art I envied of others. Very stylized/textured watercolor comic book style stuff. And I just was NOT getting any better at it. I have always been more inclined toward realism work, but I've hated it and yearned for stylized work. Yoshitaka Amano? God, I just drooled over that artstyle and beat myself up for never being able to capture it in studies or otherwise.
I finally essentially restructured my entire career around making the art that makes me happy instead of what I "wanted" it to look like. I was extremely depressed, my life was falling apart, and I still needed to make art to survive but I couldn't "art" if I was depressed and hated doing it, so I just had to step back and stop worrying so much about what I thought I wanted to make, and started making what felt most natural.
there's no easy way, and art can be a soul destroying path at times, truly. your software and hardware should come very last place compared to practicing from life (it doesn't matter if you want to paint cartoony stuff of realistic stuff, always start from life). naturally you will find what makes your heart sing the most.
I get a lot of messages from people telling me similar stuff "oh your art is EXACTLY what I want to do!" but I promise you that kind of thought process is chasing a dragon that is likely to harm or drag your creative process down. art style is such a deeply personal thing, so of COURSE it's important to find inspiration, but the second looking at someone else's artwork stops inspiring you and starts frustrating you, put it away.
There are some artists who I love, that I do not check up on often because their artwork ignites, like, serious bitter jealousy in me. It's the truth. I get so mad at myself for not being more like them, and it's such a poison. I think more artists should be transparent about this feeling because I KNOW the art community has a lot of jealousy and ugliness in it.
A fact of being an artist is that you will never be completely happy with a piece you make. You are always going to see the flaws, and that doesn't change whether you'd been drawing for 2 months or 20 years. Occasionally, you will get one piece that you are like "how did I make that???" and then get frustrated that you can't recreate it lol! It's a tough beast.
It's just really important to step back and work on yourself and where you are at, because at the end of the day, the way your soul wants to express artwork might be WILDLY different from what your brain wants, and it can be really detrimental to let those two go to war.
I hope this helps. I'm very passionate about this, and when I started out I ALWAYS ignored the artists who gave the same exact tips as above. I thought they were so annoying and unhelpful, but now I /get it/.

how does Hearse come up with wot to draw?? how can i get more creative TToTT
TOUGH QUESTION how do i explain the way i functioned for longer than i remember myself qwq
if we are talking. about the sheer volume of things you make. TO BE HONEST I AM DRAWING FOR MYSELF because it's generally easier for me to just make what i want to see. for example i want to see art and comic with han brothers - i plan out things, talking them over with friends until there is enough meat on the bones for me to make it happen. and who cares if it's Super Unique (even to my own gallery) - if i want it, i should make it. i want a lot of things. so i draw a lot of things.
other part is just talking about whatever i guess. :D i have - well, not a lot of, but - some thoughts on, for example, creation of art, connection. remembering names of people who'd leave sooner or later. watching someone leave etc etc. and they happen to work for certain characters. to me all the black and white comics, for example, feel the same - all mourning, grief and loneliness, but you ask about being creative so clearly you shouldn't trust yourself if you start feeling the same! :D
if we are talking technical part, i make sketches or write things down whenever i have A Thought? they all go to the future folder, from which i then either pick something to finish or discard/repurpose for something else. i draw almost every day but that's because i can physically and have time for it, i love every part of the process and made it a habit since high school, i don't think i ever spent more than few days in a row not drawing. but that might not be an option for everyone, which is honestly fine. you probably should not compare yourself to tumblr user hehearse, 28, unemployed NDNFHFJF
tldr. write down or draw things that come to mind for future use. drag your own thoughts out and find where they fit. and make whatever you yourself want to see because you'll get addicted. who else could make something perfect for you if not you yourself ^^
#hm.... my answer might work for big lyrical sets of pictures which#might not be the go to for the majority of people. ops?#but honestly. the answer is i am haunted by visions and cannot stop thinking about The Characters#speaking of drawing for future reference#the parody of an embrace thingy i did draw half blind and half asleep#and then decided i don't even need to finish it#so. a perfect crime if i may ^^#anyway. sorry if that answer did not help#i can't even say i consider myself creative#just productive. quantity over quality and all that MDNDJDK

Do you have any tips or tricks on how to start a comic like this? Or even just how you got started?? I've had my own au for years that I so badly wanna put out into the world but I've been struggling with finding a good way to start it!!!!
Hm!! Ok!! This is a tough question with many different answers even just from me. I'll do my best to answer tho!! 😮
The main bit of advice I want to give, and which I think is vital to anyone creating anything:
☆ Know yourself.
When looking up advice for creating, people love to tell you that by doing things a specific way is the best and only way to go. Often advice of this sort has solid points, you should plan ahead, you should have easy character designs, buut... You don't have to.
I do not work well with outlines or scripts. I dislike sketching. You'd think that'd make being a long form comic artist impossible for me, but nope.
I know theres things I cannot do, so I've put all my practise to what I can do. My lineart style allows me to almost skip sketching completely, my scripts are more of an A to B structure than law. I improv 90% of the time when making pages. It's kinda like dnd with myself.
I would absolutely not reccomend what I'm doing to others, but I know it works for me. People can tell me I'm doing it wrong but its either wrong or no comic at all, SO. Suck it. 👍
Er. Rambling now.
My point is, figure out what you can and cant do, and do your best to give yourself the ideal work enviorment and process.
☆ Deal with being overwhelmed
Making just a few panels and suddenly realising its gonna take years to get anywhere is SO demoralising. It's gonna happen and its gonna happen again, and again, and—
But continuing with the earlier advice, you gotta ask yourself what would help you. Are you willing to sacrifice quality? Do you just need a break? Maybe you're like me and like to include smth you love in every update so you'll have something to get excited about making.
That feeling of overwhelm is trying to tell you something, so figure out what that is so it wont end the project for you.
☆ Start it
You wont like what you make when starting. I've never heard of an artist who has.
I'm not saying start this instant, not everyone is as into improv and flailing around as me. But I will say you'll never feel ready. Figure out the minimun of what you need to start and do it. Show friends first if youre afraid to post.
Also where to start? Well sure there's lots of good advice online about that, but you can also just doodle random stuff until you feel like diving deeper. That's what LV started with, just Twi and Wild hanging out with animals and some headcanons. It may not be the most tightly written work but theres beauty in the humanity of a mess.
☆ Extras
A "failed project" or "forgotten WIP" is only a failure if you let yourself feel that way. Yea it can be a hauntingly strong feeling thats hard to deal with... But it can be beaten. WIPS are proof you tried and not everyone can say they have.
Lv is far from done and I have no intention of dropping it, but because the journey has been so nice I'd satisfied even if I had to call it here. Its smth that helps me with the overwhelm... What I've made is beautiful even now.
Comparing yourself to others is gonna rip your heart out. I love that theres other links meet aus out there and hope the best for those artists but I caNNot follow any of them or I'll crumble to dust.
So Uhm.
Basically. Have fun and be yourself. 👍
Ps. Readability is basically the most important thing for a comic artist to pay attention to, that and not destroying yourself with details and rendering. 🙌 Good luck out there!
#Ask#I love discussing stuff like that but it always ends up so rambly and long ahsjjdjr#I hope I said at least smth slightly concrete

Hello my pal Spooksier, hope you’re having a good day. I absolutely love your work, and I have a question.
I’d like to start making comics, but I’m only experienced with illustration, and when I try to map and sketch, everything is much smaller and turns out terribly. Do you have any advice?
Thank you very much for drawing my blorbos in such excellent fashion, and have a wonderful day.
don't treat comic compositions like illustrations you'll drive yourself bonkers insane!! i tend to treat comic compositions like storyboards where im trying to get the most amount of information with the least amount of lines, so instead of trying to make every panel feel like a complete illustration, treat it like a frame of an animation! all sequential work is the same. (plus, being more lax in your comic panels only makes pages where you do go hard (in an illustration way) all the more cooler)
for an example here's a page from pandorica with its thumbnails
and here's what my usual illustration thumbnails look like
really different!
the hardest lesson ive had to learn about comics as an illustrator is to chill the hell out and let the medium work for me, comics are not illustrations and illustrations are not comics BUT (!!) you can mash them together in really fun ways
tl;dr: when thumbnailing comics, 1) take it easy 2) have fun and 3) remember you're making something that'll be read sequentially and not just a single-page illustration, save up your great illustration skills for big impact moments!
#ask!#(thank u btw!)#but honestly a lot of comics work is trial and error and finding what works best for ~you~ and ~your work~

TWST Process!
So I got a comment this morning asking if my Ignihyde piece was a Memoji---a thing I immediately had to google to even know what that means lol I'm not mad, no shade to OP but it really threw me for loop to be asked if my art is a customizable avatar.
I know this blog is mostly my fun little sketches or side projects but I am a professional artist! Even if this is a silly little side project to keep my brain from falling it the abyss, it's still my art I drew with my own hands and it's important to me for people to know that!
Process breakdowns below the cut! it's not very detailed but figured i'd be fun to show a peak behind the curtain!
First things first! I do all of these in Proceate on my iPad! These are very casual and just for me to have fun--I'm very burnt out after my associate art direction job on Hit Monkey so I'm just trying to give myself a tiny piece of joy so I can get myself back to drawing my web comic and merch for cons/my store.
I draw each dorm in their own file just to keep things from getting too cluttered. The group shots I do separately in another file. So I'll finish them, flatten them and paste them into another file to size them up together/add backgrounds/effects. I included screenshots to show the breakdown of the original drawings along with the group shot. Nothing too fancy. Also forgive all the unnamed layers x_x I am usually incredibly organized but typing on my iPad annoys me so I tend to not name Procreate layers. You can see where I thought about it by naming ONE layer.
Here is the timelapse for The Ignihyde boys! You'll notice I keep Ace+Deuce in the file--I use them as a base reference for the stylization. I stylize everyone a bit differently but I try to maintain some consistency. I also reuse some bits of their palette as a piece of that consistency. You can also see me go 'oh yeah Ortho's hip thing goes all the way around so we should see it behind him........oh no. nvm that looks bad.' lol
What was most important for me to sell with these two was the difference of their personalities. I was aiming for that 'Someone will die' 'of fun!!' vibe haha So I wanted Idia very compact and to himself while Ortho is energetic and friendly. I also wanted to bring some design elements of Hades face to Idia's face. His bangs cover it up but I gave him a long nose that starts right from his brow the way they stylize them in the movie. I also gave them more color to their skintone but kept Idia more ashen/desaturated--I liked the idea of him looking kinda grey to match Hades instead of just pale.
Here's the non-default brushes I use--Jingsketch brushes are available here and the free comic brushes I got from Di Brushes. I'm usually a default brush kinda person but Procreate's default textured stuff wasn't really doing it for me anymore. I really like using stuff that looks more like pencil or pastel. I've also been addicted to adding noise a lot to my pieces. I know that's not the most original thing in the world but idk, it looks cool. My group shots always get a layer of noise.
But yeah, that's it! These are purposely kept pretty simple so I can knock each one out in about two hours or so. More detailed dorm outfits obviously take longer--I hand drew all the patterns on the Pomefiore kids like a mad man. Every time I erased the edges, I went 'I should probably copy and paste this' and then never did. I love making things harder for myself lmao
See y'all in Diasomnia! (I also have plans to draw my MC and Grim so Diasomnia won't be goodbye~)

I wanna get to know more about cod but idk where to start.
When I was younger I new of cod,but I wasn’t really into it.As I never had a console, (I was a wii kid 😭) my parents wouldn’t allow me to play those types of games.
but now that I’m older I joined the fandom a bit late and I wanna know where to start like what comics? I need to read, what game I should play first or watch a gameplay of etc
hi anon! thank you so much for asking :) it is a little daunting when you first look at it (especially with so many games, there's over 20+). i would recommend playing these/watching the gameplay in this order and i included some of the extra content where it fits with the games. the wiki is also a great source for information. here's a little timeline for you! this is primarily focusing on the cod: modern warfare series.
so what most people want to know is where to start if you're interested in the modern warfare story (with price, gaz. ghost, and simon). call of duty is separated into 4 different arcs: world war ii, modern warfare, black ops, and standalone games. as such it doesn't matter what order you play the overall games but within each category, they are mostly released with extra content in order
the initial games (2007-2011) what started it all for the reboots! the story has all the familiar faces but a different story! this includes soap and price having a stronger dynamic (as oppose to the reboot's Price/Gaz and Soap/Ghost). the timeline of the characters are also different compared to the reboot as you'll see throughout the games (this includes major events and character deaths). we follow Captain Price and his Taskforce 141 as they fight through various enemies and try to save the world. there is also more of an emphasis on joint missions (and playable characters) from the US military and federal agencies. there are also more playable characters (Sgt. Paul Jackson, Sgt. Gary "Roach" Sanderson, PFC Joseph Allen and James Ramirez, Yuri, SSG Derek "Frost" Westbrook, and Sgt. Marcus Burns). overall summaries: suggestive gaming | the leaderboard (timeline) price and soap's story: inkslasher
Soap's Journal from the Hardened Edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - 2011 part of the collector's edition for MW3, this 80+ page book details soap's pov for various events happening prior to the first game and through the last game. this includes military sketches, diagrams, and written entries from soap. soap's journal
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - 2007 gameplay: gamingabsolute | gamer's little playground (only cutscenes)
Modern Warfare 2: Ghost - 2009 my post summary | the comic simon's story explained: inkslasher
Modern Warfare 2 - 2009 shameless promo here but this is my favorite game in the whole series! gameplay: mkiceandfire | gamer's little playground (only cutscenes)
Modern Warfare 3 - 2011 gameplay: nrmwalkthroughhd | gamer's little playground (only cutscenes)
the reboot (2019-2023) while sharing the same name/characterization as some of the characters in the initial series (including Price, Soap, Gaz, Ghost, Nikolai, Makarov, and General Shepherd), this story line is different from the initial series. instead of having many separate missions, it primarily follows Cpt. Price's Taskforce 141 and their allies, Laswell + Alex from the CIA, Urzik's rebel leader Farah Karim, Colonel Alejandro Vargas and SGM Rodlfo "Rudy" Parra, Nikolai, and PMC Commander Graves. the dynamics have changed in the game with the games focusing on Price and Gaz (+ Alex, Laswell, and Farah), then Soap and Ghost (+ Los Vaqueros and Graves).
Modern Warfare - 2019 gameplay: tmartn2 | shirrako (only cutscenes) summary: suggestive gaming | gamespot
Warzone - 2019 this six season battle royale style video game includes many of the characters from the main game. there are also various stories at align with the narratives in Modern Warfare, Black Ops, and Vanguard. summary: inkslasher

As someone who’s thinking about creating a webcomic (largely for myself but may potentially make it public), can you provide advice on outlining and panelling? Those are the things I think I’d need some of the most help with other than backgrounds which… I can figure that out myself. Probably.
Good question! I've answered a similar one about paneling in depth here.
Outlining/storyboarding is a different animal, and depends strongly on your personal writing style and how your brain works.
There are a few ways you're "supposed" to write/outline comics, but pretty much all of them start as a script, similar to a screenplay. You note down character dialogue, the panel it takes place in, what the character is doing at the time.
You describe the panel like a shot in a movie - establishing shot, long shot, close up - and contain within that panel the script for what you'll put in the word bubbles. You might also include a thumbnail for what the page layout you're envisioning would look like.
This is because most comics are made by teams of more than one person, and the person who writes the plot/dialogue is not the person who does the layout and sketches - and usually that's not the same person who does the inking, the coloring or the lettering. So each stage of the process needs to be clearly laid out.
This is not how things work for comics made by a single person, and this is also not how my brain works in specific. If I try to write a script first, the characters inevitably end up being incredibly wordy and go off on philosophical tangents, and the dialogue doesn't fit right on the panels. And once I start drawing the actions I've choreographed, half the time I'll only get a few panels in before a character wants to do something unexpected but much more interesting that completely derails all my best-laid plans. None of my scripts ever survived contact with the page.
Fortunately, because I make art digitally, I can do things like "write all the dialogue straight onto the blank page" and then move/edit the text however I want. So the process I've developed that works for me specifically involves me storyboarding out the dialogue and paneling straight on the page rather than starting with a screenplay or script.
That's not to say it goes straight from my brain onto the page. If I'm stuck on a scene I'll usually crack open a little notes file and write out things like "what just happened, what is this character feeling, what do they want to do next" or just spitball possible dialogue options or write out a little mini-timeline of events in linear order. This gives me a guideline to reference when I sit down to storyboard, and it can help me work through a little knot of writer's block. Even then, the dialogue I hash out there isn't going to be as well-paced or as good as what I end up putting on the final page. It's a first draft of a scene - translating it onto the page, it'll play out differently.
This works well for my storytelling approach, which is flexible and character-driven. I like to give myself a lot of options - a toolbox to play with - and that means my outlines are often very loose, and can change a lot before I put them on the page. But this is a strategy I developed for myself through trial and error - it's not going to work for everybody.
I recommend you start off by reading a wide array of comics with an eye for how they were laid out and scripted, and test a few methods for yourself to see what works best for you. And also read Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics, it's an incredibly valuable crash course!

Hi:) I notice that you occasionally write something like "please pretend I don't exist" in your posts. Do...do my reblogs bother you? I can understand if yes, some people can be uncomfortable interacting with big blogs. I'd love to reblog all your beautiful art, but I won't if you don't like it. No pressure, feel free to ignore me if you want
NOOO I'm just worried that I'm bothering YOU!! All the comics and stuff are inspired by YOU, oh my god, even the plot (not designs ;O;) of my comic is made to fit your story and be like a fan offshoot of an even earlier episodes of your story!! I'm worried that you might not like that I'm doing something of my own based on your story! Because almost EVERYTHING I do here is inspired by you and I don’t even send quick sketches and stuff, because it would be terrible tag tag tag, you just can get 10 mentions per day, if I'll go out in my spare time!!! MY SLEEPLESS NIGHTS AND ANIMATICS WERE BORN THANKS TO YOU, I CAN DRAW ALL DAY WITHOUT FEELING TIRED THANKS TO YOU, I RECENTLY STARTED TO THINK WHERE I'D BE HAPPY TO WORK IN THE FUTURE THANKS TO YOU, YOU'RE THE GREATEST INSPIRATION I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!!! YOU JUST HAVE NO IDEA HOW HOW MUCH I WANT TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOU but god I HATE DISTURBING people??! ALL YOUR REBLOGS SEND ME TO THE SEVENTH HEAVEN FROM HAPPINESS!!! GOD DO YOU KNOW WHAT A SMILE I HAD WHEN YOU MADE THE LAST NUCLEAR BOMB REBLOG TO ANIMATIC??? SENSEI, PLEASE DON'T ABANDON ME I'M SORRY I'M REALLY CRYING RIGHT NOW I DIDN'T KNOW THAT YOU'LL UNDERSTAND ME LIKE THIS, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHERE THIS IS GOING TO GO!! And if I can disturb you without being worried to be clingy, then you will have to be afraid!!!!!!!
