man i think i need to seek out arabic-speaking areas of the internet to have maybe a reasonable chance to practice at least my reading and writing. :/

#i honestly should find someone through italki or wherever and pay them and be done with it #the organic opportunities to practice spoken arabic are so far between as to be basically nonexistent where i live #(however there are definitely pockets of a lot of speakers in areas farther away)#there are also a surprising amount of my-age-or-younger adults that speak arabic that work at a couple specific gas stations near me #not going to subject them to my verbal butchery of the language though lmaoooo but it is fun to listen in when i'm waiting in line #i'm sooo out of practice #and i was uuuuhhhh profoundly unhealthy when i was in college so i don't have many remaining contacts #tried one of those reddit language swap things but ended up chickening out #probably won't do that again #prattling about the self

I can't believe all the stars aligned for this to have all been on stages I could actually see in the last two months?? (for real, I would never go to that many shows in a row if I had the choice of the schedule, I'm too much of a sleepy boi)
