I just think El ending the narrative single is extremely important, and a common anti mlvn thing people bring up is how El and Mike don’t have any common interests. Neither do El and Dustin be frrr. Even though we haven’t seen much of them, Dustin and Suzie work because he admires her nerdy science/computer skills and it’s something they can bond over. El hasn’t shown much interest in any of that stuff so far. If I say I don’t like mlvn partially because it restricts El’s development and they’re not compatible romantically, I can’t turn around and say she should be with another guy with whom she has no common interests
