I am back with more skeleton themed projects

This is my first vest and I wanted something unique, so I made this skull using textile paint and added a ribbon which I laced through some safety pins (inspired by corset piercings)

While I was painting there was also a little moth on my window so in honour of that I also added a tiny moth next to the skull. They're friends :)

#my art #this is how I think theyd present themselves either in person or in headspace. the slouchers <3 #sifs outfit is simple; the boots i always give them (but with star laces for funsies); loose sweater; simple pants #the pants are Meant to be jeans but isat doesnt Specifically Have Jeans so. theyre just Pants.#the sweater is slightly looser bc sif doesnt seem like a Form Fitting Clothes kinda guy to me but hes Trying to be more open #on particularly good days theyll roll the sleeves up or wear a sleeveless one methinks #even if everyone Knows abt the self-harm scars its hard to Look at them.#i also associate them being more open with them not wearing an eyepatch. esp bc hes the only one of the three to go without it #for mal (or 'ami' as i like to call it) i wanted smth reminiscent of a mourning outfit bc mal du pays means homesickness #and i picked 'ami' as a nickname bc ami means friend :] at least according to my basic translator. i dont speak french <3 #ami's outfit being dark is also reminiscent of the inversion thing its got going on in canon.#ik the veil is starred in the original but i think ami would want the fewest reminders of home. on account of The Issues #(actually if i can come back to sifs laces sif also has issues with reminders of it bc of the memory loss but the shoelaces are His Choice—#—which gives them a form of control over it and they can keep it subtle or undo it if he wants. which makes it easier)#anyway. i put amis hair in an updo and smoothed the hat bc i think ami wants to be Unremarkable. so many buffyverse characters were written to be oneoffs but became vital characters for many years to come. it feels organic and helps the worldbuilding so much.

but not kendra. not kendra!!!!!!!!!! who is IMMEDIATELY so vibrant and fascinating, bubbly and headstrong and proud and judgmental, a huge bookworm who laughs about excessive footnotes, who stammers in front of boys, who loves crop tops and makeup and heavy jewelry. kendra who trades insults with buffy, then softly asks for her help. calls buffy weird for dating a vampire, mocks her for dying, then tells her she learned so much just from their short time together. kendra who was taken from her parents so young she doesn't remember them, who's never had friends, who isn't allowed to speak to boys or go to school or have a life.

of all characters who deserved to be written into the narrative, or be resurrected after they died, she makes the top of the list

#this show is already blindingly white and they really made it so much goddamn worse #i LOVE the buffy kendra duo so much #and for how much people bring up the accent biancas performance is so fucking good i don't get stuck on it. and she already had a #MUCH better handle on it by the next time she showed up on btvs. ya kno when she had actual time to work on it #anyway the only characters that this show introduces as a oneoff and turns into major recurring/regular characters are white #this show is forever obnoxiously white thats obvious #but they really never gave any nonwhite character a fucking chance like they did every white one that popped up #i'm even thinking about one of my favorite buffyverse villains ever mr trick #it's ABSURD he was killed off so fast #i love the buffyverse so much but my god the racism #(bringing me right back around to THATS NIKKI WOODS GODDAMN COAT YOU PIECE OF SHIT)#buffyverserewatch2k24

#alien stage oc: ava #alien stage oc: nero #ava #nero #oc #ocs #20241003 #so. i have a lot of thoughts about these #especially since i tweaked avas like three times #but i tried setting them according to the stats of the canon characters/what the aliens might rate them #esp the visual stat #looking at the characters sheets i think the aliens have a preference for ethereal looks (like luka and sua) but also like sharper looks #like ivan and hyuna (yes i think ivan leans into sharp)#till is more of the rough type so that's why i think his visual is rated lower #uh either way that's why ava's is so high and nero's is more on the middle (he had regular black hair before his season of alnst which gave #him less of a wild look so i rated him a bit higher than till)#ava is a tube baby so voice and talent are in her genes though mostly voice and visual were important for nova #talent would probably be higher if she didn't kill off 90% of her personality #she was not made for high effort dancing tho #NERO WAS THO LMAO #yeah uh ava's relevance/popularity/topic whatever the fuck it gets translated as is rather high since she's kind of the media's sweetheart #first love's smile and all that #nova put a lot of effort into her pblicity and it worked #nero's relevance is so high bc he's always up to sth and makes headlines everywhere he goes à la there's no such thing as bad publicity #i was struggling with mental strength bc on one hand he is fucked up (tm) but on the other hand he's not easily shaken????#like you could throw him in a pit of sharks and he'd make the best of it #let's just say mental strength must not equal mentally sound #his talent is on the average bc of this trait too like he's super versatile and spontaneous which makes him easy to put into different #situations that he might come out of successfully #uhhhhh yeah

so a bit of context in regards to my minecraft LoreTM: angels are things called out-of-bounders aka things that really shouldnt exist but for one reason or another do, other kinds of oobs are glitches (corrupted code come to life, ex: ashswag), homunculli (concentrated magic and code come together to create a living creature, often comes in the form of celestial bodies or similar due to higher chances of magic and code concentration in those areas, ex: zam), voidwalkers (eldritch creatures drenched in dark matter, pure magic concentration come to life, ex: half of what spoke is), and herobrines (corrupt duplicate player code come to life, usually takes form after a particularly code-stress heavy death, ex: herobrine) angels are the result of code corruption in pre-existing players and there's a 50% chance they turn nonexistent in the process with no way to get them back not even with respawn

ro used to be a regular human but all the wacky shit that happens in ls corrupted his code (unsure when yet) and he became an angel, it took around a week for ro to stop glitching out, needless to say mapicc was very relieved when his bestie didnt disappear into nonexistence

Also more context on this Au: this takes place years after the final (ik I said this already but shshs), where he had plenty of time to think somewhere inside what’s left of his mind, then one day he got freed by the one and only Cassidy✨ Magica was experimenting with magic portals to other worlds and wanted to get another magica involved to steal Scrooges dime, but something messed up causing Cassidy to appear and the portal to explode, causing Bradford to be free from her

so Cassidy is now lost with some vulture in a whole different universe with nothing except the stuff he has on him, fun! Oh and here’s something from somewhere else:

‘Cassidy has no idea who this funky looking bird man is, and after being trapped basically forever and having time to mull things over, he would want some sort of a second chance after he lost a lot, even if it’s a stranger from another world, actually that’s his best case scenario.’

I’m still surprised I thought this Au up at all with my somewhat limited knowledge of the 2017 show in general, I did eventually go looking through wikis to make sure things were not too out of place or out of character lol
