I'm still so upset over Lance's "Calm, just how a like it" ending. BITCH WHEN. HOW. WHERE.
This is the man who fought to get out of being a cargo pilot. Has always felt confirmed in his lion. Has never once been genuinely "I want out". YOU CANNOT TELL ME. THIS MAN-
I get it. War changes you. But!!! If your genuinely committing with Allurance (bleh), THAT MAN. WOULD WANT TO BE IN THE STARS. NOT STARTING AT THE FUCKING ALTEAN FLOWERS. Lance is a devoted simp, through and through. He would be flying through the stars, basking in the glory of what Allura sacrificed for. What she became. Taking in everything she is and was. NOT BEING A FUCKING FARMER GGVHJNTUGH.
They did him so dirty overall it's terrible.

yknow i was gonna make a post about how happy I was to see the show acknowledge adhd/dyslexia/learning disability stuff and the way they handled and showed Percy's experience with that system, and how it influenced his reactions to things. But i'm honestly glad I didn't because WOW the show completely ditched all of that immediately. There was set-up for a really interesting arc about the demigods = neurodivergence metaphor and "You are singular" (pun off of "half-blood"/"demigod" and a very direct rejection of the "puzzle" metaphor for things like autism) and a very quick acknowledgement in like episode 2 of an off-hand "oh yeah all demigods are like that (adhd/dyslexic)" and then. nothing. absolutely nothing.
heck, they even changed the design of the zoo van (in the books very explicitly a black van with white text, which Percy notes specifically because white-on-black text is more dyslexia-friendly) which is a personal affront to me because That's My Dyslexia-Friendly Van, How Dare You.
i know some people have argued that maybe Annabeth pausing in the store was supposed to be her having a dyslexia moment, but if it was then we would have gotten the Dyslexia Effect™ on the text (and dont tell me they didn't have the budget for it cause HAVE YOU SEEN THEIR BUDGET FOR THE SHOW? They clearly haven't been using all of that). It's almost definitely supposed to show that Annabeth hasn't been in mortal spaces in a very long time and is, yknow, a kid, being indecisive of which snacks to buy.
i have said it before and i'll say it again: the core of PJO is disability. You can never remove that, or else it is no longer PJO. The heart of the series will always be a story made for an ADHD/dyslexic kid to help them learn about and be interested in mythology, and if you stray from that it's going to be very noticeable very fast. Almost every character in PJO has a learning disability. The entire series is framed as a way to introduce kids to mythology in a fun way and emphasize those themes of mythology being important even in modern day with how it still affects our lives, to ask you to look at what lessons we can still learn from these myths and how they apply to modern lives, and that you can be a hero not despite your disability, but alongside it. That is the core of PJO, always and forever. And the show failed that.

so on the subject of the "Crowley is secretly Revaan/Laverne/Levin/please Twst give us his name" theory, I think my feelings are best summed up as "I don't really buy it, but it's funny". like, in all seriousness, I'm not opposed to it; I have enjoyed the writing in Twst so far and I'm willing to trust that whatever happens will, you know, make sense and not be terrible. but I'm just not really convinced by the current evidence! maybe that'll change once we learn more, we'll see!
with that said, may I propose a few alternate theories about the possible Crowley/Revaan connection:

For a series who’s media/pop culture obsession centered so heavily around the supposed ‘love triangle’ aspect- the hunger games movies really cut out most of the books’ actual love story
Like I feel like they cut out almost all of the important moments of katniss and peeta falling in love from the books and *for what*?? (like we could’ve gotten them being all oblivious/crushing on each other before the first arena, all that time in the cave, ofc all those moments in d12 before the quarter quell announcement, their picnic on the roof before the quarter quell, THE BOOK, I could go on)
Bc the hunger games *is* (among other things ofc) a love story- so why not emphasize it in the movies?? I mean they clearly wanted to bank on the romance element why not do it right

I'll be honest for Sam who really wanted the horrors to be real to laugh so hysterically at Gwen when she confessed.... I was ready to stuff him in a locker cuz bruh, she is clearly not in a good space rn YOU CAN LITERALLY TELL BY LOOKING AT HER and then that's your reaction?? Not even a "is this a metaphor for something Gwen? are you trying to tell us something through code Gwen?" My guy Sam u gonna have a sad and horrible fate because you are like that guy who wanted to hunt Bigfoot so badly but forgot to add bears into the equation and when you made contact thinking it's the Revelation of the Year you just got eaten by a hungry bear.
Anyways Gwen is officially my baby now,my sweet pea, my pineapple ring, I am offering my squishmellow strawberry to build plot armor for her.
But for real tho, he is there hoping and trying to get to the bottom of something and when the plot literally gives it to him he is like lol good joke .... And then he has THE AUDACITY to turn to Alice and say oh but maybe it's a supernatural serial killer and u really need to explore this idea like i am getting such hard urge to sit him in front of a microsoft powerpoint presentation about sweep at your own house first before you complain about the dirt at your neighbors or something
