Nathan Johnson // Knives Out - OST From the very first note... (G minor, to be exact!) I just wanted to take a moment here to talk about this film, “Knives Out” because I feel quite strongly that if you’ve not seen it, it should absolutely be on your mandatory to-watch ASAP list. It was hands down my absolute favorite film of 2019. It’s very rare, I’ve found, when my favorite film and soundtrack of a year (2019) happens to be the same, but this is very much the case right here. This film score by Nathan Johnson is not only magnificent within the context of the film, in such a playful way that everything is so intentional, it heightens even the most simple of scenes, but played on its own it carry as equal amount of weight. From the very first track to the very end, I’ve listened to this OST multiple times in a row many times over now. It’s an absolute cinematic gem.
