This morning's surface map indicates that a low-pressure system has moved across the Great Lakes in the form of a clipper, resulting in rain and snow showers across the Appalachians and into the Northeast. Following closely behind is a second clipper, which is expected to bring more precipitation to the Great Lakes and northeastern regions. In contrast, areas south of the clippers can expect milder weather, providing a welcome respite from the wintry conditions that have persisted over the past few months. Overall, this winter has been notably cold across the country, particularly in the eastern regions. In fact, temperatures have been colder than they have been in many years. This winter has been a challenging one for many, with the persistent cold weather making daily life more difficult. However, the changing weather patterns offer hope for a more pleasant transition into spring. #WinterWeather #GreatLakes #ClipperSystem #NortheastWeather #ColdTemperatures #WinterStorms #Appalachians #MilderWeather #HopeForSpring #WeatherPatterns #SnowShowers #RainAndSnow #EasternRegions #ChallengingWinter #WeatherUpdate 🌨️❄️

Slava's SnowShow @ Harold Pinter Theatre │★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Slava's SnowShow has been delighting audiences around the world since 1993 with its perfect mixture of wit and special effects delighting all ages. It last graced a London stage in 2017 at the Southbank centre where 8 year old me was left completely transfixed by its creativity and strokes of genius! I was so excited to see Slava had decided to steer his show back to London. But did it disappoint a second time?
One thing that is not talked about enough with Slava's SnowShow is the delightful soundtrack. As soon as it began playing I suddenly remembered it's jubilant motifs, and the more I listen the more I have to applaud how perfectly it accompanies the performance (sound is credited to Roman Dubinnikov and Slava himself).
We begin with a large red pulsing light as the lights go down, and then are greeted by 74 year old Slava slowly dragging a rope onto the stage, the lights are low and the audience actually find themselves feeling very sorry for Mr Slava in his yellow attire and red scarf. However with one tug of the rope another clown is pulled on stage and the clowning truly begins! The cast are all insanely talented at what they do, with their over exaggerated gestures and their precise knowledge of what an audience likes to see. It is bonkers and fun, with no sort of storyline but more a set of sketches one after another, set in the midst of a snowy fantastical location.
From the opening scene on it is non-stop laughter, with some gasps for the incredible stage effects that we witness. The scene where we see one of the yellow clowns (Slava's protege in the show it seems) playing with a ball and a stick is just simply captivating. It is what makes SnowShow so good; the act of doing something basic but making it so remarkably impressive!
Normally a curtain will fall for the interval, but not for Slava. Instead a large cobweb is dragged from the stage to cover the entire audience! It is thrillingly exciting as you pass the cobweb to the person behind you and we are all encased!
The interval is always fun (Top tip: stay in your seats! forget that ice cream) as the clowns climb their way over the chairs to (normally) chuck water at you or place you on the stage and chase you about (as one unfortunate lady experienced).
The second half is another whirlwind tour of various skits, with a load of superbly conducted audience participation by the friendly clowns. How on earth 10 minutes of the clowns just playing with the audience can be so captivating and hilarious is beyond me, but it is and I love it. As Slava returns to the stage we hear the sound has changed and there is a slight whistling in the air, Slava quickly starts pulling the curtains around as "O Fortuna" begins to play and suddenly we are in a snowstorm! The whole audience puts their hands in the air as snow fills the entire theatre. It is the most amazing moment I have experienced in a theatre and I laugh as even the adults look completely taken aback by what is happening. It isn't finished though as the clowns come to be greeted by a speedy standing ovation as they dispatch large balloons that are pushed around the by the audience and more bubbles and snow fill the Harold Pinter Theatre.
I see the clowns smiling and looking at the chaos and storm of fun they have created in the theatre as they stay out for a good 20 minutes to just enjoy it!
MY VERDICT:
Slava's SnowShow is an international success that has been created by an absolute mastermind in the art of clowning, there is no critique to this phenomenal show. I urge you to see it before it closes (there are still plenty of tickets available) as it truly is just a wonderful experience.
My standout performer was everybody, yes even the audience and their participation!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Slava's SnowShow plays at Harold Pinter Theatre in London until the 12th January as part of it's UK Tour!

Secret Santa
Here's my Secret Santa snippet for @snowshower, from the prompt:
"A reformed who typically is alone for holidays and doesn't normally get invited to stuff gets invited by the hero for a small get together."
I hope you like it! 🙂
Villain sighed, turning off her television and closing her eyes. The constant christmas carols just reminded her of last christmas, and the christmas before, and the one before that. Sitting at home, all alone, doing nothing.
She had ‘retired’ about a year ago, when Hero and their annoying (yet endearing) friends had shown her the error of her ways, blah blah blah. She no longer robbed banks, or held people hostage. Just worked a boring nine to five selling packaged sandwiches at a convenience store. She was just about to get up and grab something to eat, probably a sandwich, when the doorbell rang.
“Hey, it’s me, Hero! Can I come in?”
She sighed, opening the door. “Yeah, sure, why not?”
Hero walked in, still wearing her costume, swishing her cape as she went to sit down and make herself comfortable.
“So... what do you want?” Villain raised an eyebrow.
“Just wanna chat, that’s all.”
“Somehow, I doubt that. But sure, go ahead.”
“Well... some friends and I are having a little get together for Christmas, and we were hoping you’d join us?”
Villain paused. “Me? ...Why me?”
“Why not you?”
“You know what I’ve done, right? Kidnapped you, kidnapped others, stolen jewels-”
“Yes, and you made up for that. You brought the jewels back, publicly apologized, you’ve spent your fair share of time in the agency’s cells.”
“So why not just leave me alone then?!”
“If that’s what you want, then... I suppose there will he more of Other Hero’s famous Christmas cake for me, hmm?”
“...Where is this stupid party.”
Hero smiled, standing back up. “It’s at my place on Christmas day, starting at 1pm. Don’t be late, my dear Villain~”
Villain watched as she walked out of the door, and sighed. Her villainy days were over, but she’d be damned if she wasn’t going to steal a gingerbread cookie or two...

The frigid temperatures that have gripped the region are expected to ease up in the coming days. This morning, temperatures in the plains plummeted to between minus 20 and minus 30 degrees, which is unusually cold for this time of year. This Arctic blast was caused by a highly negative Arctic Oscillation, which funneled cold air into the plains and beyond, resulting in single-digit and below-zero temperatures in the Great Lakes and Northeast regions. Fortunately, the good news is that the bone-chilling cold is expected to subside as we approach the weekend, potentially marking the end of this extreme cold spell for the winter season. Snow showers are forecasted to move across the Appalachians, Mid-Atlantic states, and parts of the Northeast today, with the Appalachians expected to receive a couple of inches of snow, while areas further east may see just a light dusting. There is a possibility that a coastal trough could bring additional snowfall to New York City, northern New Jersey, and the Poconos this evening, with accumulations ranging from one to two inches. Despite the snow showers, the cold temperatures will keep the snow light and powdery, making it easier to clear from roads and walkways. Looking ahead, a clipper system is expected to move across the Great Lakes and into the northeastern part of the country on Sunday, bringing with it another round of snowfall totaling one to three inches. This system is typical for this time of year and is likely to produce light, powdery snowfall in the region. #FrigidTemperatures #ArcticBlast #WinterWeather #ColdFront #SnowShowers #GreatLakes #NortheastWeather #BoneChillingCold #PowderySnow #WinterStorm #TemperatureDrop #WeatherUpdate #SnowAccumulation #ClipperSystem #WeatherForecast ❄️☃️

diff anon here but i would loveeeee to hear more about Bunny’s lore (if/when you have time of course) and their relationship with Logan hehe…. also kinda off topic but their design is so beautiful props to you 🐇🫶🏽
Hi anon!!! Sorry for such a late response, I would love to yap some more!
Bunny and Logan meet when he first is brought to the mansion alongside Rogue. At that point, Bunny had been fairly integrated into society (in terms of the mansion, Bunny doesn't go out much) and they had been put in charge of showing Logan around the grounds after he woke up. Logan was taken aback by Bunny's appearance at first, but the more time that passed he started developing an embarrassing little crush on his new friend.
Bunny on the other hand was very hesitant around Logan. After years of being held by men in the same plaid and jean clothes, they were understandably nervous around him. It took some time but Bunny eventually came to trust Logan and it was only a matter of time before Logan's feelings were reciprocated!
Logan and Bunny danced around their feelings for months. Field trips with the Outdoor Survival students were often chaperoned by Logan, late nights were spent in diners near the edge of town and morning walks were blanketed in Logans comfortable presence. It was after an encounter with one of the men involved with Bunnys capture that Logan confessed his own history and his feelings for them.
Little fun tangent! One of the first times Bunny and Logan were alone with each other was at a small lake a distance into the surrounding woods. It was then that Bunny found out Logan couldn't swim, and was actually afraid of deep water. Bunny, being a naturally gifted swimmer due to their mutation (snowshow hares love swimming and are actually proficient at it!), spent nealry an hour easing Logan into the shallow murky water until he finally sat on a rock and watched Bunny as they floated on the shimmering surface. That was the first time he had seen their tail, and to say he blushed would be an understatement.
