what if sanemi was never not angry, but he repressed it because he had his family to take care of and he had to keep them afloat. then they died and he clings onto his anger because that’s the only way he can function, until he meets masachika. masachika becomes an almost distraction, keeping him busy and, somehow, in some way, making him happy. and then he dies too, and all the hatred and fury that’s been simmering in sanemi for so long sort of just bubbles over, boiling and overflowing. so that anger is his only personality, and it’s all he can do to hold onto it and feed it and allow it to control him. he doesn’t know what to do without it. without his seemingly never ending pit of rage, he’s lost and helpless and just… a shell of the person he wished he hadn’t become.

BUT STILL), but yes there's two sources even: he talks about it basically at the start of the sixth episode of his podcast, as well as in his book (in the chapter titled 'pregnant musings from an infertile man'. lol) :3
