Half the fandom about Morpheus after s2 BTS dropped:
Tumblr media
Lmao
(Joking here. Everyone's got their own opinion, that's fine. Beholder's eyes, I guess, cause Tom/Morpheus looks hella attractive to me in in-scene and BTS clips from both seasons. Which isn't even supposed to be the goal as the panel above should prove. I never thought the goal was 'hot goth'. The goal is and has been 'WEIRD, unearthly, not-totally-human': aesthetically pleasing but unsettling. Do we want actors to starve and dehydrate to the point of looking unhealthy? No. Would Tom, as an individual deeply enthusiastic about and invested in portraying the character as accurate to canon ('rake-thin') as he can, go ahead and do it anyway, 'required' or not? Yeah, seems like it. He must be working with diet and physical training specialists, so I trust they know what they're doing better than I do.)

So I was rereading your lore on witches in your riddledeep au and um.
Tumblr media
Would this technically make Dev a witch??? lol. He also freebies a pizza across a digital title card that episode too.
😂 Y'know, it's funny you say that because for the past month, I've been wondering if anyone was going to ask me if Dale or Dev are witches. I don't know why I was wondering that, but it's been clinging to me. I couldn't think of a way to bring up "btw, they're not witches in my work" without it feeling weird.
My witch lore for context
Dale and Dev can specifically not be witches under my lore even if I wanted them to be, even if I were following a headcanon where the Dimmadomes get around the XYZ chromosome sterility through clones, because of something extremely specific that also exists in my lore that I cannot go back on.
Magic Colors
So, I have a whole magic system set up around the colors of magic. There are 6 possible colors in the OG series- 5 of which are represented on the Rainbow Bridge, 4 of which are represented on the Fairy Council, and 2 of which are extremely rare.
Tumblr media
I gave the Fairy Elder (namedropped in "Timmy's Secret Wish") yellow robes, thus tying the Fairy Council together.
Each magic color has a meaning associated with the mood or thought pattern behind magic use. I drew my original inspiration from the colors Timmy's brain turns when Poof's controlling his body in "He Poofs, He Scores."
For those interested, my Colors of Magic post (From May 2016, but has screenshots) & my worldbuilding sideblog's post on magic colors (Cleaned-up lore with no pictures). Short version below:
Red is an extremely uncommon magic color, though we see it when Foop is fighting Cosmo and Wanda in "Playdate of Doom" and when Wanda jumpstarts Timmy's heart in "Yoo-Doo." It's the color I associate with life and death magic. So, y'know... Foop is very okay.
There's also indigo (used by Juandissimo in "Fairy Fairy Quite Contrary"), which I consider a subset of blue.
Green is also extremely rare. Notably, it's the color Foop's magic slowly starts to turn throughout "Scary Godcouple"- He started off with blue, but sours to green in one of the only appearances we see of green in the entire series.
But you know what commonplace color we don't see?
Orange.
In my lore, orange-haired magic users (both Fae and genies) are the equivalent of shiny Pokémon. Even two orange magic-users don't normally have orange offspring- They produce yellows and reds.
And the thing is... I've already set up Happy Peppy Gary to be the only orange witch in my lore. In fact, I have a WIP multi-chapter 'fic about Gary getting discovered by H.P. and Anti-Cosmo, who lose their minds when they realize what he is (Pink and Gray).
Shout-out to one of my favorite dialogue exchanges I've ever written, from H.P. trying to sus Gary out as genie-descended:
H.P. brought his hand up to fiddle with his glasses. "Okay. Completely random get-to-know-you question. By any chance, are you afraid of small spaces?" "Deathly. Why?"
And Dale is Gary's age - in the same city where the Pixies dropped Gary and Betty after taking them in - which means if he WAS an orange witch, he would've been clocked so hard, so fast. Also, since I'm going the route of H.P. being Dale's godfather, there's no way he wouldn't have noticed even though Dale was MIA for years.
Fun Fact! Gary and Juandissimo are "related!" Juandissimo was finger-snapped into existence by Gary's ancestor, Crimsona. He's arguably a great-great-great-great uncle (5 generations up from Gary). In Cloudlands AU, Gary's middle name is actually Juandissimo! That's because Juandissimo's been assigned to godparent to this family several times (We met Gary's dad and grandmother, Quincy and Eunice, in Baby, You're a Rich Man; Sanderson matches Eunice's name to Juandissimo's in Chapter 10 while looking through godkid files).
Anyway, I COULD have witch genes passed down through Dev's mom's side of the family (Leadlys in my headcanon), but that comes with its own issues: if Leadly had XYZ chromosomes, he can't have Hadley, and I'm not going back on that. I could make his wife a witch, but that STILL has issues.
In my 'fics I play Ed Leadly as a guy who's looking for magical creatures (hence him being willing to drop 17 million dollars on someone else's dog in "Dog Gone"). I have literally shown him onscreen holding a witch-detecting compass that points to Gary (in "Opportunity"). There is no way he would not have clocked his ex as a witch, sldkfj...
Closing Comments
Dale and Dev are some of the only characters in my universe who are absolutely confirmed to not be witches, despite how much I have actually wondered if it would be fun to portray them as such.
I don't have a lore reason for the visual gags in that episode- I sadly have to clock it up to random cartoon silliness akin to Jenkins exploding into pieces when Jasmine sings in "Fly" (or Hazel also falling apart or exploding when people expressed crushes on her in "Multiverse of Jenkins").
In my lore, I actually do have Gary set up to be able to pass his witch powers to people he kisses (Because I thought it would be funny if that's why Betty is taller in some scenes than others; yes, I am that pedantic and it makes Betty's "But I don't like you like that" line exponentially funnier), but I've established that only genie-descended witches can pass powers... That doesn't make sense for Dev in this episode either.
Technically all the fluids can pass magic, so a blood transfusion would make Dev "a permanent false witch" if I wanted to do that, but I'm not gonna bother when again, we have people exploding in this show as a gag. Cursed gags I cannot touch with lore 😔
If anyone else makes the Dimmadomes witches, I'd be totally down to read that. I think it would be extremely funny if Dale Dimm was also a witch despite sentencing Alden Bitterroot to 350+ years of clawing his way out of Dimmsdale's well for witch crimes, but my AUs have pretty firmly locked Dale and Dev out of that option.
Riddleverse Design Facts
Here's another fun fact for any new followers who don't know I do this: I draw witches with spirals in their hair! Pics under the cut due to length:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Crocker has his in the back and Kevin has his on top!
You could TOTALLY make an argument that Leadly's spiral is in his mustache
Tumblr media
Also, it's a very good thing I do this- I joked in the past that Gary and Dev look eerily similar (even sharing lots of body language), so it's nice to have things like freckles and a hair spiral I can fall back on.
I'm VERY happy with my adult Dev design, but I definitely kept freckles and hair spirals away from him, haha. Sneak peek of him next to his mom:
Tumblr media
Note- Spiral headcanon excludes H.P., who has a unique family cowlick I gave him before doing this for witches. Poof doesn't count either since he's under Fae Get Alphabet Hair rules:
Tumblr media
Whistle and Anti-Whistle [Soren] (at the bottom) are some of my favorite designs... I can't get over his upside-down W hair sldkfj.
Tumblr media
But Wanda and Anti-Wanda having completely different Ws is another favorite thing. I'm especially proud of Dusty's little D tuft.
I'm not sure why Smoky ended up with what looks like an F (unless it's a T since he was Talon before Talon was Talon), but I remember doing a lot of designs for him. Sometimes I don't commit to alphabet hair if letters are hard (Soren's top zigzag is meant to be an S, which is a very hard letter to incorporate, and I think I didn't want Smoky and Soren to have the same one). I've been wanting to redesign Smoky a bit, so I'll probably fix it then.
Goldie's is subtle and you can see it better in some drawings than others, but she has M hair because her full name is Marigold :)
Tumblr media
I should probably re-add her middle tuft to her official sideblog art, whoops.
Also, if this is how someone is finding out Poof and Foop literally were designed with alphabet hair, I have wonderful news for you. Fun fact, the "Anti-Poof" storyboard portrays Foop with a square spiral instead! It was the final detail of his design.

First art post of 2025 and with a two-year-old story!
Lavender grew up with the deep fear of monkeys(not primates, like chimps) due to an incident that took place when she was eight years of age. During a family visit to a traveling menagerie, Lavender was bitten by a sick macaque and got extremely ill as a result. Of course, Lavender's parents and twin brother were infuriated by this occurring due to negligence by an attendant. So as a result, this landed Lavender in the hospital for a solid month, as the infection from the macaque bite tended to make the poor girl fluctuate from feeling well enough to take on her daily allotment of lessons, to feeling so sick she couldn't concentrate.
During this one-month stay, she had a near-perpetual streak of nightmares about rabid monkeys jumping to bite her more, so these lessons and frequent visits from family were what temporarily led her away from these nightmares, which Lavender still remembers today.
She grew up with this fear of monkeys deeply ingrained in her, because of an incident that could have easily been noted and contained, had it not been for a negligent animal attendant. Fortunately, her family got their much-needed compensation from the attendant and the owner of the menagerie.

RAT WARS preorder arrived. This is pretty much the only album I’ve been listening to since December. Every time I try to shift to another album or band, I just end up coming back to this beast.
#sorry this isn’t like a professional pic or anything 🤷🏻‍♂️#I know I personally like when people post in depth photos of their cool records but I just don’t got those skills or patience baby squirrel#I’m not exaggerating about only listening to this. I’m so bad about listening to music that I find one band I like and that’s it.#’I’m tired of this album’ I’ve been saying constantly for months and yet it’s 99% of what I listen to#it’s just… so good.#I WILL SAY… I miss their noisier roots. I miss the wild drums.#I wish it was heavier too. or chuggier. or something I don’t know. I love it but I want MORE of everything#also.. one last baby complaint. this took FOREVER to arrive#I completely understand tho. they sold a ton of copies and it takes awhile to finish production and shipping and whatnot.#but it waaaas a little disconcerting when everyone started getting preorders & copies from stores weeks before mine arrived#but that’s just whining. good things are worth the wait.#this is THE album that makes me want to make music. one of those albums where youre like ‘I bet this would be fun to emulate.’ Respectfully#I got the smoky gray one because it seemed to fit the monochrome theme but I’ll be honest. all those red copies made me envious#color coordination is a curse#I think this is also the first CD I’ve bought in years. needed it for redundancy. ya know. car rides. uploading to computer. etc.#anyway. none of this is important.#…this is a good album!#okay I love you goodbye forever#rat wars#mine

Great Smoky Mountain National Park: Visitor Center
Did you know that the Great Smoky Mountain National Park is a World Heritage Site? These beautiful mountains, known as the Great Smokies, are located in both North Carolina and Tennessee, a part of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and a segment of the Appalachians.  This land, measuring nearly half a million acres, became a national park in 1940 and a UNESCO Heritage Site in 1983. BABY FEVER
Sevika x f!reader
Synopsis: Ever since you and Sevika had gone to the market and saw a small little bundle of joy, a tiny child, Sevika has been experiencing baby fever, but tried to hide as much as you tried to hide the fact you were pregnant.
Request: Anon 🤍
Tumblr media
The bustling Undercity market was alive with energy, a chorus of voices rising and falling like a symphony Sevika had learned to navigate with ease. Stalls lined the cobblestone streets, hawking wares ranging from fresh produce to mechanical trinkets that sparked faintly in the dim light. You had begged her to accompany you here, and though Sevika wasn’t one to enjoy the chaos, she couldn’t deny you anything.
As you weaved through the crowd, her larger frame provided a shield against the jostling bodies. You stopped at a fruit stall, inspecting the goods and chatting with the vendor. Sevika stood close behind, her attention elsewhere—until she heard your soft, delighted laugh.
“Look at that baby, Sev!”
She followed your gaze and saw her: a chubby, gurgling baby nestled in her mother’s arms. The child cooed, her tiny hands reaching for her mother’s hair, and Sevika’s heart stuttered in her chest.
“She’s adorable,” you said, your voice tinged with that warm tone Sevika loved so much. You turned back to the vendor, but Sevika lingered, watching the baby with an intensity she couldn’t quite explain.
The rest of the day passed like any other, but something shifted in Sevika. She couldn’t stop thinking about the baby, the way you had looked at her with such soft admiration.
Tumblr media
The change started subtly. Sevika wasn’t the kind of woman to wear her emotions on her sleeve, but she found herself lingering in certain moments more than usual. It began with your kitten, Smoky, a mischievous ball of gray fluff you’d taken in months ago.
“Sev, you’re spoiling her,” you teased one evening as Sevika sat on the couch, Smoky sprawled across her chest. She was gently stroking the kitten’s fur, her usual gruff expression softened into something unreadable.
“She likes it,” Sevika grunted, though her voice lacked its usual edge.
You tilted your head, watching her closely. Smoky purred loudly, oblivious to the unspoken shift between you and Sevika.
Then came the way she watched you, specifically your stomach. At first, you thought you were imagining it, but the lingering glances became impossible to ignore. She’d sit at the kitchen table, her eyes following you as you moved around the room, her gaze always flicking down to your midsection.
“Everything okay?” you asked one day, catching her in the act.
“Yeah,” she said quickly, looking away. “Just zoning out.”
Her tone was casual, but the faint blush dusting her cheeks told a different story.
Sevika also started spending more time near the market, a place she typically avoided unless absolutely necessary. She claimed it was for “supplies,” but you knew better. She’d linger by the square, watching the children playing with sticks and scraps, their laughter echoing through the streets.
Tumblr media
What Sevika didn’t know was that you had a secret of your own. For weeks, you had been debating how to tell her, nervous and excited all at once. You were only a few months along, but the thought of becoming parents had filled you with a joy you couldn’t contain.
You noticed little changes in your body, like the way your clothes fit differently, the occasional bout of nausea that left you gripping the sink. Sevika, even as observant as she was, hadn’t seemed to catch on yet.
One afternoon, as you folded laundry in the bedroom, you found yourself holding one of Sevika’s shirts, her scent faint but familiar. You pressed it to your chest, imagining her holding your child, her strong arms cradling the tiny life you’d created together.
The thought had nearly brought tears to form in your eyes, and you knew it was time.
Tumblr media
One evening, as you sat together in your small home, you decided it was time. Sevika was at the table, sharpening her prosthetic arm with practiced ease. Smoky was curled up in her usual spot by the fireplace.
“Sevika?” you called softly.
“Hm?” She didn’t look up, but her focus wavered, the sharpening tool pausing mid-stroke.
“I have something to tell you.”
Her brow furrowed, and she set the tool down, turning her full attention to you. “What’s up?”
You took a deep breath, your hands trembling slightly as you forced the words out of your mouth, “I’m pregnant.”
For a moment, Sevika didn’t move. Her expression was unreadable, her dark eyes fixed on you as if trying to process your words. Then, slowly, her lips parted.
“You’re serious?” Her voice was quiet, almost disbelieving.
You nodded, a smile breaking across your face. “I found out a few weeks ago. I was waiting for the right time to tell you.”
Sevika stood abruptly, her chair scraping against the floor. She crossed the room in two long strides and pulled you into her arms, holding you tightly.
“You’re amazing,” she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. “You’re so damn amazing.”
You laughed, tears welling in your eyes as you clung to her. “I was worried you’d be scared.”
“Scared?” She pulled back just enough to look at you, her hand resting gently on your stomach as tears began to form in her own eyes. “No. I’ve been thinking about this for weeks, since that day at the market. I just didn’t know how to bring it up.”
“You had baby fever?” you teased, your grin widening.
“Shut up,” Sevika muttered, though the corner of her mouth twitched into a smirk. “Fuck, baby, we are gonna be parents.”
Tumblr media
Months passed in a blur of preparations and quiet excitement. Sevika was by your side through everything, her rough exterior melting away in private moments. She’d talk to your growing belly, her voice soft and full of wonder, and she never missed a single appointment.
When the day finally came, it was nothing short of chaos. The birth was long and grueling, but Sevika was there every step of the way, her strong hand gripping yours as you brought your child into the world.
“She’s beautiful,” Sevika whispered, her voice trembling as she cradled your newborn daughter in her arms. The baby yawned, her tiny fingers curling around Sevika’s prosthetic thumb, the sight nearly causing her to cry again.
You leaned against Sevika, exhausted but filled with a profound sense of love. “She looks like you.”
Sevika chuckled softly, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “Lucky kid.”
As you both sat there, your little family finally complete, Sevika realized she had never been happier.
Tumblr media
A/N: I’m sorry this is so short, but I absolutely loved writing this cute, fluffy request.
