manchester evening news on an unlikely first public appearance of noel gallagher post-reunion: at a book launch speaking about hacienda days
Tumblr media
He spoke on a panel that included Manchester music star Peter Hook who co-owned the Hacienda with New Order and Factory Records, former Hac manager Ang Matthews, Flesh club night promoter Paul Cons, DJs Graeme Park and Greg Wilson and Noel's fellow club "punters" fashion designers Ian Griffiths and Angela Murray and performer David Hoyle. Stone Roses legend Mani had also been due to attend, but had to withdraw due to sickness…
The event on Wednesday night marked the official launch of the Hacienda Threads book which has been compiled by Rebecca Hook. It features previously unseen images of ravers at the Whitworth Street West club as well as memories by a host of punters and famous faces who partied there…
Noel also said of Oasis' performance at the Hacienda (in 1994): "I guess when the band formed it felt like a rite of passage, we played there on the way up like The Smiths. I saw Happy Mondays, New Order and the great Primal Scream there."
Talking about his earlier experiences as a clubber at the Hacienda, he said: "I was the right age, I was 21 in '89 at the time I lived in Whitworth Street so it was the nearest place to my flat. Even at the time we knew it was special."
He added: "'88 and '89 were the two best years of my life, living on Whitworth Street, no one knew who I was."
He paid tribute to Factory Records and the people who helped to build the Hacienda. He said: "The thing about Manchester is it’s just small enough and just big enough. The reason why it [Hacienda] happened is Factory Records.”
"Not many [record companies] have built something for the people of their city. Thank god there were all those people to do it."
Noel added: "People don’t know what they want until you give it to them. It takes a few visionaries to make it happen. There’s visionary people in this town and thank God they had the balls to do it."

Could you talk a little about your MCI from your Fnaf au?
This isn’t exactly what you asked, but here’s my timeline! It’s altered a bit over the years and characters have changed roles, but this is my little AU:
1983: Evan “Jack” Afton is bitten while Henry murders Charlie behind the pizzeria. Charlie mistakes her killer for William. Fredbear’s Family Diner closes and the springlock suits are moved to Freddy’s. Jack continues to haunt Michael and creates night terrors for him.
1984: Circus Baby’s Rental opens and Elizabeth “goes missing.” William, after losing his second kid, becomes consumed with finding Elizabeth and fails to notice Henry reprogramming the animatronics. Funtime animatronics steadily kidnap/kill kids from 1984~86.
1985: Official first Missing Children’s Incident™. Henry lures five kids (Gabriel, Jeremy, Susie, Fritz, and Cass) and stuffs their bodies in the suits. William is suspected but never convicted, Freddy’s is shut down.
Early 1986: William, suspecting foul play and feeling guilty, goes to the now closed Freddy’s location to search for clues. Charlie and Co, believing their killer to be William, scare him into the suit and he is springlocked. Using William as a scapegoat, Henry has the walls sealed up so that William can “remain at large” should the case be reopened. Becoming more paranoid that he will be found out, he hunts down Michael’s friends from the bite of ‘83 and hides their bodies in the not-yet-released toy animatronics.
1987: After the disappearance of his father, Michael finds William’s frantic theories over Elizabeth’s whereabouts and decides to go look for her. Scoopage occurs.
After discovering the truth of the incidents, the not-yet-rotting Michael takes a job at the new Freddy Fazbear’s under the guise of Jeremy Fitzgerald. (The dayshift guard, also named Jeremy, gets bit by Mangle) Michael comes back later as “Fritz Smith” and sneaks Charlie out with him.
~1988: Ennard (without Baby) sneaks into Michael’s apartment and asks to stay. Michael begrudgingly lets Ennard live in his closet.
~1991: Circus Baby finds Michael’s apartment and demands to stay. Michael and Ennard begrudgingly let her.
1993: Mike takes a job at the reopened Freddy’s. Finds out that his uncle (Phone Guy) died there not too long before him. Mike continues working there for a while until he gets fired for “tampering with the animatronics” and the place gets shut down. He sneaks Phone Guy’s ghost out with him and hides him in his apartment.
2017: Michael takes a job at Fazbear Fright under the name Eggs and “meets” Springtrap. Neither recognize each other and form a friendship. This culminates in the two of them burning the place down and Michael sneaking William back to his apartment, where Phone Guy reveals both of their identities to each other.
2019: Michael, in an attempt to lure Henry and kill him, franchises a Freddy’s location and steadily sneaks his animatronic family members in. It’s the most successful Freddy establishment and becomes incredibly popular. When Henry tries to burn the place down, the Afton family captures him and forces him to burn in the restaurant with them. Despite everything, everyone but Henry survives. Henry’s soul escapes into the computer.
2020: Realizing they now have to live “normal lives” in the aftermath of the fire, Michael and William retrofit illusion discs so the whole family can pose as living people.
2023: After developing into a malicious computer virus, Henry/Glitchtrap poses as a Fazbear Entertainment email address and commissions a VR studio to make the FNAF series. On top of using this to possess the beta testers, he uses this to spin the narrative that William was the murderer and that he was the hero that stopped him. Michael joins the VR team as “Iggy Wilson” in order to stop Henry.
I don’t really have anything for Security Breach. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

top five very specific game consoles
rubs my hands together like an evil fly. these are in no specific order i love them all equally. Below the cut because its long
vectrex console set (released november 1982) vector display based console with a built in CRT TV. early models were said to be very obnoxiously loud due to poor tube grounding. only had 28 games made for it. was killed decisively by the crash of 83 and later the advent of the gameboy.
Tumblr media
2. super a'can (released october 1995) released only in taiwan and china and only has 12 games confirmed to have been released for it. based off of the motorola 9000 chip used for the sega genesis. the company that made it (funtech) lost over 6 million dollars because this was released around the same time as the playstation and n64. funtech had all development and production materials destroyed and the remaining consoles were sold for scrap parts.
Tumblr media
3. terebikko / see n say videophone (1988 JP, 1989 US)
Tumblr media
well obviously its shaped like a phone. how it was SUPPOSED to work was that you connect it to your TV's audio jack and throughout the interactive video you would receive "phone calls" from characters onscreen who would react differently and steer the game in different directions based on if you gave good or bad answers. fairly advanced for the time! only 25 games were ever released for it though
4. watara supervision (released 1992)
Tumblr media
look at this freak. it sucks. BUT it had tilt controls which is more than could be said for the gameboy. could only play monochrome games from ROM and was a commercial failure due to having barely any games.
5. cybiko (released 2000)
Tumblr media
a combination PDA and handheld console. could play games from PC download and had 430 games released (all of them free). the cybiko xtreme (a less colorful revision that failed to address several problems with the original) released and then 9/11 happened.
HONORABLE MENTION: vtech creativision (1982)
Tumblr media
this thing is called Dick Smith Wizzard in australia and new zealand.

FML! Just seen the announcement for Victorious festival. Their commitee needs to give it's head a clear out.
How on God's green earth have they placed Tomlinson so high on the bill. If I was Jess Glynne or Maximo Park I'd be giving them my slot back.
I know Razorlight are billed as "special afternoon guests" but no way should he be higher than Johnny Borrell or Paul Smith and so close to Snow Patrol and Norman Cook.
FUMING!!!!! A brilliant festival spoilt by that RAT.
It's no big deal. He's only fourth on the bill and the festival hasn't sold out, not even on Friday when he's playing, despite tickets only being £83. It's not popular like Glastonbury and Reading. There are no massive names.

At the time the song was written, Robert Smith was very interested in the work of Australian author Patrick White.
According to a number of his fans, Smith was inspired to write "The Love Cats" after reading White's novel The Vivisector (1970), although this claim is difficult to verify. In the novel, the protagonist, Hurtle, is appalled when his lover's husband drowns a sack of stray cats. White draws a parallel between the way in which the cats are discarded, and the treatment of certain characters in the book; by extension, the cats symbolise the most innocent and vulnerable members of society, and the casual cruelty with which they sometimes meet their fate.
The recording session took place in Paris at Studio Des Dames after the band had played a one-off concert in the west of France, in Brittany, in the commune of Saint-Jacut-les-Pins in August 1983. The band recorded other songs there also in jazz rock style, “Speak My Language" and "Mr. Pink Eyes": both ended up on the b-side of the 12-inch vinyl. A fourth track ("A Hand Inside My Mouth (Des Dames Studio Demo 8/83)") also recorded in the same session, surfaced in 2006 on The Top deluxe CD reissue.

The actor Brigit Forsyth, who has died aged 83, made her name as Thelma in the BBC television series Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? One critic described Thelma as so prim that she could turn the lifting of a lace curtain into an art form.
Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais’s creation, which ran from 1973 to 1974, was the sequel to the popular 1960s sitcom The Likely Lads, which starred Rodney Bewes and James Bolam as Bob Ferris and Terry Collier, two single north-east England factory workers who share a flat and the same interests – women, drink and football.
Thelma Chambers was brought in as a girlfriend for the upwardly mobile Bob, now in the white-collar class with a house, car and annual holiday on the Costa Brava, scoffed at by Terry, who clings on to his working-class roots. Thelma and Bob were married halfway through the two series of the show.
“Up until then, I had done a lot of drama on telly,” said Forsyth. “If I wasn’t being murdered, I was murdering somebody or I was a disturbed art teacher. I was playing quite a lot of deranged people, so comedy was a nice change.”
She created laughs again with the sitcom Sharon and Elsie (1984-85), in which she co-starred as the middle-class Elsie Beecroft alongside Janette Beverley as the more down-to-earth Sharon Wilkes, two employees in a greetings card manufacturing company.
But Forsyth’s own favourite television part was Francine Pratt in Playing the Field (1998-2002), the on- and off-pitch women’s football drama created by Kay Mellor. Her character, who hates the game, is married to the Castlefield Blues’ sponsor, played by Ricky Tomlinson, and keeps him happy in return for designer clothes and other luxuries.
“I have never played awful glamour before,” she said. “I had a blond wig, six-inch heels, makeup and my bosom hitched up high.”
Forsyth was born in Malton, North Yorkshire, to Scottish parents, Anne (nee Forsyth), an artist, and Frank Connell, an architect and town planner, and brought up in Edinburgh. She was mesmerised by Stanley Baxter’s performances as a pantomime dame at the city’s King’s theatre and, aged 18, landed her own first lead role, as Sarat Carn, on her way to the gallows, in Charlotte Hastings’s play Bonaventure with the Makars amateur drama group.
But when she left St George’s school, Edinburgh, her parents insisted she learn a skill, so she trained as a secretary. After a couple of jobs, she headed for London and Rada (1958-60), where she won the Emile Littler prize.
She began her professional career back in Edinburgh with the Gateway theatre company (1960-61) before moving on to the Theatre Royal, Lincoln (1961-62) and the Arthur Brough Players in Folkestone (1962). With other actors already named Brigit McConnell and Bridget O’Connell, she changed her professional name to Forsyth on her return to Lincoln in 1962.
At the Edinburgh festival three years later, she played one of the witches in a headline-making production of Macbeth. “That show caused an absolute uproar because they wanted the witches to have the bodies of young girls and the faces of old women, and they wanted us to have our top half naked,” Forsyth recalled. “But the Earl of Harewood, who was running the EIF at the time, said ‘No’. So they put nipple caps on us, which looked absolutely disgusting – and they used to drop off each night. It was absolutely hysterical.”
Later, in the West End, Forsyth played Annie in The Norman Conquests (Globe, now Gielgud, and Apollo theatres, 1974-76) and Dusa in the feminist play Dusa, Fish, Stas and Vi (Mayfair theatre, 1976-77). She put her TV breakthrough down to cutting her hair short. “It proved a tremendously lucky omen,” she said.
That break came with Adam Smith (1972), in which she played the younger daughter of the title character, a Scottish minister (Andrew Keir). The director, Brian Mills, then worked with Forsyth on the psychological thriller Holly (1972), when she took the part of a young art teacher kidnapped by a mentally unstable student. Forsyth and Mills married in 1976.
Television roles kept on coming. She was Veronica, one of the product-promotion team, in The Glamour Girls (1980-82), Harriet in the inter-generational sitcom Tom, Dick and Harriet (1982-83), and Helen Yeldham, a hotelier, in the 1989 series of Boon.
There were also appearances in soap opera: as GP Judith Vincent in The Practice (1985-86); Babs Fanshawe, Ken Barlow’s escort agency date who dies of a heart attack, in a 1998 Coronation Street episode; Delphine LaClair, a sales rep for a French company interested in buying Rodney Blackstock’s vineyards, for two short runs in Emmerdale (2005 and 2006); Cressida, mother of the millionaire Nate Tenbury-Newent, in Hollyoaks in 2013; and three roles in Doctors between 2000 and 2012.
Forsyth also played the miserable Madge, who frustrates her sister Mavis’s attempts at a relationship with Granville, in the sitcom sequel Still Open All Hours (2013-19).
A cellist from the age of nine, Forsyth starred as the real-life virtuoso Beatrice Harrison in a 2004 tour of The Cello and the Nightingale. Also on tour, she was a remarkably believable Queen Elizabeth II in A Question of Attribution (2000) and played Marie in Calendar Girls (2008). “I’m Mrs Frosty-Knickers, the one who doesn’t approve of it all.”
In 2017, she played a terminally ill musician in the stage comedy Killing Time, written by her daughter, Zoe Mills, who acted alongside her. At the time, Forsyth revealed that her maternal grandfather, a GP in Yorkshire, had helped dying patients to end their lives. Declaring herself a supporter of euthanasia, she said: “He bumped off probably loads of people with doses of morphine.”
In 1999, Forsyth separated from her husband, but they remained friends until his death in 2006. She is survived by their children, Ben and Zoe.

📩 Simblr question of the day: You can answer one or both parts of this question!
1️⃣ Part one: If you make Story posts, what do you do for scenes? Do you build them yourself, do you download lots from the gallery or do you download them from someone online?
2️⃣ Part two: If you make Gameplay/Legacy posts, what do you do for a house? Do you build it yourself, download a home from the gallery or do you download them from someone online? Additionally, do you build onto that home or demolish it and rebuild the house when needed? (E.G When another child enters the picture or someone moves in)
❎ If you do none of those for either half, what do you do? Do you use someone else's save file? (WIndbrook by Folking, Willow Creek + Magnolia Promenade by Theneighborhoodsave, Silent Pines by Silentpinessave... etc)
( freely share this SQOTD around, anon or not, and use the hashtag " SQOTD " ~ 💛 )
Thanks for thinking of me, @melsie-sims! I think my posts count as 'Gameplay', with maybe a bit of 'Story' thrown in?
My 'hood is pretty large, and I play each family in (not very strict) rotation, so I've needed a lot of housing for my Sims!
Some homes I've built myself from scratch: the Crawfords' beach house; Cassandra's Victorian semi; Marmaduke and Henrietta's townhouse; the retirement community; the Bennets' Victorian villa; Erasmus and Edward's, and Clara and Daniel's, compact residences; or the studio apartments for recent graduates).
I love building, but find it very time consuming, as I'm such a perfectionist and everything has to be just so! So, I'm always happy to find - preferably - CC-free/low-CC lots that fit my general aesthetic (compact, with a more European feel), which I can then customise as required.
Hence, I'm using quite a few residential lots that I've downloaded, many from my favourite builders @kayleigh-83 (Eleanor and Esther's chalet, apartments for new graduates), @deedee-sims (the family homes of the Eltons, Martins, Morlands, Wickhams and Willoughbys, Anna and Bennet's townhouse, Miles and Robert's bungalow, Jasper and Georgiana's house) and @honeywell-mts (most of the original family homes, including those of the Bertrams, Bingleys, Churchills, Darcys, Dashwoods, Knightleys, Smiths, Steeles, Tilneys and Wentworths).
I almost always make some modifications though, from simple switches of walls/floors/windows/doors/fences, right up to tweaking the footprint or completely revamping the internal floor plan, to better suit the family I have in mind. I'd say the split is about 50/50, between residential lots I've built myself (I'm just not using many of these yet), and those I've downloaded and modified. I don't use any money cheats, so if my Sims don't have the funds to decorate, furnish or expand, then the house stays as it is and they have to make do - hence my Sims' homes can look quite bare! As they go through life, and accumulate some savings, I start personalising their homes. But, I try to avoid completely remodelling the structure of a house while Sims are living in it, as I like to have a 'clean' copy of every lot (stored in the catalog), so that I can easily replace them if they become glitched, without having to rebuild from scratch. More often, I will just move a family to a more suitable home, if their circumstances change.

people who are theatre people probably knew abt this already, but it was news to me:
A Doll's House was based on the life of Laura Kieler (maiden name Laura Smith Petersen), a good friend of Ibsen. Much that happened between Nora and Torvald happened to Laura and her husband, Victor. Similar to the events in the play, Laura signed an illegal loan to save her husband's life – in this case, to find a cure for his tuberculosis. She wrote to Ibsen, asking for his recommendation of her work to his publisher, thinking that the sales of her book would repay her debt. At his refusal, she forged a check for the money. At this point she was found out. In real life, when Victor discovered about Laura's secret loan, he divorced her and had her committed to an asylum. Two years later, she returned to her husband and children at his urging, and she went on to become a well-known Danish author, living to the age of 83. Ibsen wrote A Doll's House when Laura Kieler had been committed to the asylum. The fate of this friend of the family shook him deeply, perhaps also because Laura had asked him to intervene at a crucial point in the scandal, which he did not feel able or willing to do. Instead, he turned this life situation into an aesthetically shaped, successful drama. In the play, Nora leaves Torvald with head held high, though facing an uncertain future given the limitations single women faced in the society of the time. Kieler eventually rebounded from the shame of the scandal and had her own successful writing career while remaining discontented with sole recognition as "Ibsen's Nora" years afterwards. (from the Wikipedia article on the play)

FNAF 4 Lore in Somebody’s Interpretation:
In the Nightmares, we aren't playing as the Crying Child as the minigames take place at least a decade before the nightmares since the minigames happen in 1983 while the nightmares take place at least in 1993. FNAF 4's bite is the Bite of '83, not the Bite of '87. Besides Scitt confirming this, we also know this because of the Fredbear and Friends Easter Egg that straight up gives us the year.
The location in the minigame is Fredbear's Family Diner but due to the show and the merchandise in these minigames Freddy's must also be open at this time which makes Fredbear's the sister location with the springlock failures mentioned in the FNAF 3 tapes since those tapes were recorded at the first Freddy's. This makes it likely that the Bite of '83 isn't a new event but instead the springlock failure mentioned in FNAF 3 which caused the springlock suits to be retired, and probably Fredbear's closing, leading to William using the Spring Bonnie suit at Freddy's to lure Susie to the Safe Room leading to the MCI mentioned in the FNAF 1 newspapers which led to Freddy's closure in 1985.
The main gameplay is a Nightmare but not Crying Child's nightmares, instead, they are FoxyBro's nightmares, the brother that bullied CC all throughout FNAF 4 until accidentally killing him in the Bite of '83. The reason the hospital equipment is in his nightmares is because he remembers being at the hospital looking over his dying younger brother. And we know these nightmares take place at least a decade after FNAF 4 because we hear a reversed version of the FNAF 1 Phone Call, a Phone Call made a week before Mike's shift in November of 1993. So, the earliest these nightmares happen must be 1993 further proving we can't be the Crying Child since he would've died a decade ago.
This also means that FoxyBro would have to have heard the Phone Call for it to be in his nightmares meaning FoxyBro must be Mike since those recordings were specifically for the guard after Phone Guy who happened to be Mike Schmidt meaning FoxyBro is Mike Schmidt. This also means that FoxyBro is Fritz Smith in FNAF 2 since he gets fired for the same reason that Mike gets fired in FNAF 1 and it's heavily implied he's the same guard in FNAF 3 that attempts to end it all by burning down Fazbear's Fright. Since Fritz Smith is at least 18 in 1987, he would have to be at least 13, so, that he could be Fritz in FNAF 2 which further proves this can't be Crying Child having these nightmares since he's definitely not a teen but since FoxyBro is taller than the other kids yet shorter than the adults it's easy to say he's probably a teen.
So, Mike accidentally kills his younger brother in 1983 setting him on a path for redemption that leads him to uncovering what his father, William, has done leading to him burning down Fazbear's Fright with his father inside to stop him once and for all.
In the minigames, we see a sister's room showing that Crying Child and FoxyBro have a sister. FNAF SL shows this sister is the girl that possesses Baby and FFPS gives us the name of this girl, Elizabeth. The fact that this room is empty and we never see Elizabeth throughout the minigames, we can safely assume she's already dead.
In FNAF 3, we hear that the springlock suits were removed after the springlock incident and that after that the MCI happened. This means the Crying Child didn't see the MCI. The only possible deaths prior to this that he could've seen is Charlie's death and Elizabeth's death but he seems to be specifically scared of Fredbear in these minigames who wasn't involved in either of those deaths, nor was he involved in the MCI since William used Spring Bonnie, not Fredbear, meaning the MCI interpretation still doesn't work. However, Scott gave us a clue during MatPat's livestream back when FNAF World was still being teased stating that "What is seen in the shadows is easily misunderstood in the mind of a child." This implies that the child misunderstood something he saw in the dark. In the same minigame where it's revealed the the child saw something that makes him scared of Fredbear, we get an easter egg of William putting an employee in a Spring Bonnie suit, although to a child, it could've been viewed Spring Bonnie eating someone. Perhaps he saw someone get suited up in the Fredbeat suit and thought they were getting eaten by Fredbear, and perhaps he though the eyes being visible from the mouth proved that Fredbear swallowed someone whole. It's also possible that he could've seen a springlock failure that involved Fredbear which led to his fear of Fredbear.
Another question is who is speaking through the Fredbear Plush in the final minigame. In the first few minigames, the Fredbear Plush seems to be someone separate from the final speaker with SL implying it was William talking through the plushies that are actually cameras monitoring what he's doing. But in the final minigame where the child is in a coma, the Plush changes text color as if someone completely separate was speaking. This voice is likely The Puppet who always takes care of the children in this series.

Ex-Prizes sung by Henry Emily, Evan A./Gregory, Mrs. Afton/Ballora, Fritz Smith, Elizabeth A./Vanny, Michael A./Rockstar Freddy
This is a parody of Ex-Wives, that follows six main people that were directly affected by William Afton's killings. It follows the same theories of Rockstar Freddy, Vanessa/Vanny, and Gregory being the three Afton children; along with Ballora being Mrs. Afton. I may make parodies of all the songs (minus Haus of Holbein). But we'll see. Please enjoy!
[Henry Emily]
Betrayed.
[Evan A./Gregory]
Destroyed.
[Mrs. Afton/Ballora]
Died.
[Fritz Smith]
Betrayed.
[Elizabeth A./Vanny]
Destroyed.
[Michael A./Rockstar Freddy]
Survived.
[Henry Emily (spoken)]
And tonight, we are…
[All (sung)]
Live!
[Henry Emily]
Listen up, let me tell you a story!
[Evan A./Gregory]
A story that you’ve think you’ve heard before
[Mrs. Afton/Ballora]
We know you know our names
And our games, and our faces
[Jeremy]
Know all about the glories
And the disgraces
[Elizabeth A./Vanny]
I’m done, cos all this time
I’ve been just one prize in a stupid crime
[Michael A./Rockstar Freddy]
So I picked up a pen, and a microphone
[All]
History’s about to get overthrown
[Henry Emily]
Betrayed.
[Evan A./Gregory]
Destroyed.
[Mrs. Afton/Ballora]
Died.
[Fritz Smith]
Betrayed.
[Elizabeth A./Vanny]
Destroyed.
[Michael A./Rockstar Freddy]
Survived.
[All]
But just for you tonight
We’re betrayed, destroyed, live!
Welcome to the show, to the histo-remix
Switching up the flow as we add the prefix
Everybody knows that we used to be six prizes
Raising up the roof til we hit the ceiling
Get ready for the truth that’ll be revealing
Everybody knows that we used to be six prizes
But now we’re ex-prizes
[Henry Emily]
All you ever see and play against
[Evan A./Gregory]
Is Mr. Afton and the way it ended
[Mrs. Afton/Ballora]
But a bucket doesn’t beat, a giant flame
[Fritz Smith]
You’re gonna find out how we got apprehended
[Elizabeth A./Vanny]
Tonight we gonna do ourselves justice
Cos we’re taking you to court
[Michael A./Rockstar Freddy]
Every Afton might has it’s bite
And you’re gonna feel live it, this time
[Henry Emily]
Betrayed.
[Evan A./Gregory]
Destroyed.
[Mrs. Afton/Ballora]
Died.
[Jeremy]
Betrayed.
[Elizabeth A./Vanny]
Destroyed.
[Michael A./Rockstar Freddy]
Survived.
[All]
But just for you tonight
We’re betrayed, destroyed, live!
Welcome to the show, to the histo-remix
Switching up the flow as we add the prefix
Everybody knows that we used to be six prizes
Dancing to the beat, til the break of daylight, say
When we’re done, then we’ll start again like it’s the 1980’s
Everybody knows that we used to be six prizes
But now we’re ex-prizes
Betrayed
[Henry Emily]
My name’s Henry Emily
Was his business partner since ‘83
This business gave us some royalties
And my loyalty, is to my family
So if you try to kill them
You won’t try that again
[All]
Destroyed
[Evan A./Gregory]
I’m Evan Afton
And i’m up next, see
I caused father to go crazy
Yeah, I’m that precious
Why did I lose my head?
Well my eyes may be green
But my tears are red
[All]
Died
[Mrs. Afton/Ballora]
Mrs. Afton, the only one he never loved
[All, spoken]
Not true
[Mrs. Afton/Ballora, sung]
When my youngest nearly lost his life, I died
But I’m not what I seem, or am I?
Spin with me and you’ll get the case cracking
[All]
Betrayed
[Fritz Smith]
Ich Bin Fritz Smith
[All]
Ja?
[Fritz Smith]
When he read my applicant he was like-
[All]
Ja!
[Fritz Smith]
But apparently I somehow messed with them
Funny how we all theorized that
But never William’s suspicious shi-
[Elizabeth A./Vanny]
Shut your lips, I’m the Afton
Who lost her life
[All]
Destroyed
[Elizabeth A./Vanny]
For my constant planning outside the threads
Lock up your robots, reset your passwords
Elizabeth-A is here and the fun’s begin
[All]
Survived
[Michael A./Rockstar Freddy]
Five down, I’m the final prize
I saw him to the end of his life
I’m the survivor- Michael A.
I bet you wanna know how I got this way
I said, I bet you wanna know how we got this way
Hey!
[All]
Do you wanna know he got this way?
Then welcome to the show, to the histo-remix
Switching up the flow as we add the prefix
Everybody knows that we used to be six prizes
Get your hands up, get this party jumpin’
You want a grand prize? Well there’s have a dozen
Everybody knows that we used to be six prizes
But now we’re ex-prizes
One, two, three, four, five
Six

THE FINAL DAYS OF A BAY AREA HARDCORE BAND -- WELCOME TO 1984.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on SF hardcore/Berkeley anarcho punk band CRUCIFIX, playing one of their final live performances; before their breakup in the same year c. late '83-1984. Venue and photographer unknown.
Their final line-up was 3/4 the "Dehumanization" one, with Sothira Pheng (vocals), Drew Bernstein✝ (guitar), Matt Borruso (bass), and Chris Smith (drums).
OVERVIEW: "Perhaps one of the most prevalent points of inspiration for the early punk and hardcore movement was George Orwell's eternally-relevant novel: "1984." The influence of this ominous book was so deeply woven into the ethos of punk that even pioneers like Crass viewed the impending year as the ultimate end, structuring their entire career around it.
In the United States, 1984 welcomed the second presidential election Ronald Reagan, and with it came the slow spike in radical right wing religious fanaticism, systematic neglect of disparaged communities, not to mention the looming threat of nuclear annihilation.
1984 would also mark the end of San Francisco's iconic political group CRUCIFIX. Negative Insight is proud to share this set of previously unpublished photos of a small gig and afterparty from 1983-1984. These photos provide an intimate look into the final days of the band."
