I stumbled upon Selden Innovation Corridor shortly after moving to the neighborhood, a wonderful example of re-imagining an existing space and turning into a place for people. 

This is still one of my favorite examples of placemaking in Detroit! You can find it at Selden between Second and Third.

More belated pics of my birthday haul last week. This was from my most longstanding friend the wonderful @albieandsage. The Shruti bag is the most beautiful softest bluey-grey velvet, and such pretty silvery gold leather on the star and zip. I've been dying to try the Smith & Co Rose lip balm and it's lovely - a delicate rose scent, which is beautifully hydrating. The formula is between a gloss (it isn't shiny shiny) and a balm.
