Thoughts While Watching Gilmore Girls, 3x9, A Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving, Part IV

I just realized the winter carnival episode is next and tbh I'm pretty stoked about that one.

Ugh, someone left Gilmores on my front porch. Fetch me my broom. Shoo! Shoo! At Thanksgiving number one, we find out Lane is spinning yet another tangled web of lies to ensnare Soggy Rygalski (my new pet name for him, don't ask). Mrs Kim thinks Soggy is actually in a Christian band that Lane discovered through church and not a sinful rock band. Mrs Kim serves Tofurky and I feel as if our little vegetarian diner rat would have enjoyed that.

Dang. When Rory sees how people like her mother and Luke and Mrs Kim treat their employees, it's no wonder she doesn't want to get a job! Bad dum tssssh. Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all night.

I know small business owners are hard working people who don't always have the luxury of shutting down and taking a break, but do you think he ever closes the diner? For anything? Christmas Day? Yeah, I'm sure ya'll can name a few times on the show where he closes up shop (would actually be interested to hear what they were). It wouldn't matter. He'd try to close on Christmas Day and the Gilmores would show up anyway and demand to be served instead of drinking eggnog in their own home. For Christmas, Lorelai should buy Luke a massage. Alarming to see Lorelai treat Jess this nicely because I worry she may be ill. Or possibly delirious from hunger (she didn't eat at Sookie's or Lane's, she threw out Mrs Kim's tofurky and just gawked at Sookie's house). It looks like Luke was nice enough to give Jess the day off, but Walmart (and its Hunger Games-style Black Friday festivities) may still be calling. Is this the first real, hot, home made, lovingly prepared holiday meal anyone had ever served him in his entire life? (I'll give partial credit to The Bracebridge Dinner). The next scene, a Friday (Thursday) Night Gilmores Showdown at the McMansion goes on for around 8 minutes which is going to feel like more than an hour in Salty Time. I'm going to wilt.

okay i know we are all excited about the actual short that just came out but let me ramble a bit about Red cause im getting emotional about this stick ... ( before my motivation to type all of this ends and i dont feel emotional anymore lol )

Red in season 3 went through so much istg ;; not only did he and Sec went through a very tense (and needed) fight which almost caused the end of their friendship (+ Sec was clearly in the winning side here, or Red was just really terrified of her at that moment given to how he tried to run away from her - of which i will probably talk about it in a later post maybe), but he was also really fucking tormented in monster school (i felt so bad for him in this episode i legit wanted to cry)

+ after all of this fiasco he really went ahead and carried this thing (of which, given to how he hit it on the ground and it made a soft thump, it must have been heavy asf) all the way to the other side and??? fucking smashed King's chin which made him fly to so fucking far ;; which means he literally used all of his strenght to carry this staff, and dropkick King with it, even if it was so hard he almost even dropped it at first

AND THEN HE JUST. PROCEEDS TO PASS OUT ON THE FLOOR CAUSE HES SO FRICKING TIRED AND EXHAUSTED AAWRGHWS

he lost a pet ... again. and because of his own fault aswell ! he knew the possible dangers of fusing the command block and the staff together , given how he almost got possessed alongside his friends the first time something like this happened , and yet ... he did it anyway . and beeper died as a consequence . i cant imagine how much guilt he must have felt .. (probably one of the main reasons why he didnt put up a fight when they put him in the timeout box)

thinking about this ; they are all really tragic characters tbh ,,, stepping away from the heavy angsty all of c!Alan's stickfigures go through , rygb goes through a lot of shit aswell , and tbh i just feel bad for all of them ; they are all such tragic characters that deserve a very well-needed break break/_ \

the ultimate compliment!! I'm pleased so far by the sapphic possibilities, although I've been too busy Playing Veilguard to Contemplate Veilguard, so I don't have much to report yet

Rana/Neve is occupying about 85% of my brain, partially because I literally can't believe that Rana is not just in the game at all, but a constant presence in Neve's story AND fairly well fleshed-out AND they're so gay about it!! It's like the game plagiarized the fanfic I was going to write to make Rana a main character. They have the tense aura of a pair that has had sex exactly once probably under iffy circumstances (after Brom's funeral? after the dragon attack? case gone awry and got sex pollen'd?) and doesn't know how to broach the topic again. This ship has the juice and the webbed site will never hear the end of it from me

I'm also very interested in Irelin/Bellara specifically because I feel like Irelin dumped Bellara and regrets it. AFAIK the game didn't explain why they broke up, but Bellara's line about how people she'd been with before don't like her rambling makes me think it was about Irelin. Bellara deserves better, however I am a noted fan of sapphic couples that shouldn't be together so needless to say this would not deter me. Irelin is also very hot so I'm certain she can be fixed

For companion/companion, Neve/Harding fell off for me a little bit (cockblocked by Rana tbh) and while I usually smash the no homo chains of so-called "sisterly" relationships, I do prefer Neve/Bellara as found sisters and can't really see them banging (unless they banged early on and feel weird about it later).

I will continue to report and also I noticed there are only 36 F/F fics in the Veilguard category so hopefully I can unlock my brain and work to rectify that!!!

the princess, the prince, and the mermaid ~ the little mermaid (i was infected by the novel mermaid: a twist on the classic tail (heh) in my youth- christopher, lenia, and margrethe had a fascinating relationship i fell in love with. and now!!!!!!!! watching older adaptations of tlm, seeing the interactions between the three of them always intrigue me so hard. pre-disney the princess is allowed to be sweet and kind to the mermaid, if somewhat patronizing to the mute young girl. and when the mermaid fades away, her body in foam and her soul off to heaven, she lays a kiss on the grieving princess's head AND I DIE)

ADD IN BODYSWAP SHENANIGANS AND I LOSE MY MIND EVERY TIME.)

I like playing hsr-- as my irls say, im a bit of a grind/build player. I can attest to that, because no joke-- i spent an entire year just grinding and farming for materials for my characters. So you could say that im a bit well versed in how these characters work and run and tick. Of course, when you have two obsessions, its kind of inevitable that youd smash them together like dolls so--

OH-- quick note!! Ill be doing the 06 class first because im more familiar with them, and most of my info comes from my own experience playing, and Prydwen my beloved lmao

Gojo Satoru:

For Gojo—as a unit, i wanna say that hes either the strongest unit currently or some kind of nuts shielder. Its an either or because duh. Bruv is Quite Literally The Strongest and Quite Literally Untouchable.

If were going with the former, aka the strongest—id say that he would be what is currently considered the meta, which is Acheron. I dont have an Acheron, but my friend does and she lent me her account so i can build her Acheron and other units and LET ME TELL YOU. HOLY SHIT. Even unbuilt, Acheron hits like a motherfucker dawg. Its genuinely crazy. Her Technique as well (heh) also lets her oneshot almost anything which is also inline with how he works. Jeez, i should probably go back to building her account...

If were going with the latter, aka nuts shielder ala Infinity, i was thinking either Fu Xuan or Aventurine—but settled on Fu Xuan as it filled out more of what Gojo could do. While she does actually take damage, as she directs damage to herself, she heals it all back which honestly?? Amazing symbolism for Gojo tbh—considering the fact that hes the most important figure in Jujutsu society, everyone would be fucking gunning for him man. And he'd just as easily bounce back and brush it all off with a quick smile and Purple. And speaking of purple—esteemed colleague, that is Just Her Ultimate.

But yeah—Gojo would be either Acheron or Fu Xuan, depending on what aspect of him were focusing on.

Geto Suguru:

I'm gonna admit—this one was a little hard for me because who tf uses summons. And then it hit me.

Dear lord, my boy is just Topaz. Or Jing Yuan. LMAO—

Makes sense tho mechanically—Geto's technique is all about summoning curses to fight. Either for him or with him. Its just that the choice between Topaz and Jing Yuan capitalizes on what sort of fighting styles Geto wants to use. Topaz is more reliant on Numby doing damage, while Jing Yuan can do damage on his own without the help of Lightning Lord. This means then that Topaz is if Geto wants his curses to fight for him, and Jing Yuan is if he wants to fight with his curses.

Also the fact that I considered Sushang for him just because she summons a giant fucking chicken for her ult is. W o w .

Shoko Ieiri:

Dawg. To be honest with you. I think this is gonna be the hardest one for me to typecast unit wise. Because like—Shoko is a heal bot fr fr. And like—thats literally all the Abundance characters man. I CANT JUST SAY "shes every Abundance character" AND CALL IT A DAY. I mean I CAN but I WONT because I have STANDARDS. So I suppose I'll knock off the ones she can't possibly be unit wise.

Bailu is an Instant No. If she can bring people back from the dead Bailu style, JJK would be a WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY. and YEAH YEAH the Gojo/Yuuta thing is different—Gojo was already super dead, she just transferred Yuuta to Gojos body my guy. Not Gallagher, since w've never seen her in a combat situation and we have no idea what pure RCE can do to a curse—and before you say im wrong, nuh uh dawg—youre thinking about Reverse Cursed TECHNIQUE. I'm talking energy. The two are very different. Thats like saying putting the car in reverse is the same as using diesel instead of gas. Luocha is also a no go since, if she can just cast a Simple Domain that heals everyone in range, JJK would be a completely different story. And, as much as this pains me to say it—she cant be Huohuo either, because if her healing people would also replenish their CE, JJK would be a different story—at the very least with more people alive in it lmao

And so. This leaves us with our F2P basic units. Lynx and Natasha. Which... honestly? Its weirdly fitting and cathartic in a strange sort of way. Its guaranteed they'd be there to help because you receive them as units early on in the game—just as guaranteed that Shoko would be there to help and heal any and all sorcerers who come to her. All units need healing, in any way shape and form—without em making sure our teams our alive, we quite literally cannot get thru half the content of the game. I would know, that friend DID NOT build any of their sustains. Constantly fighting for my life until I built Gallagher lmao.

But yeah—unit wise, it does fit. They both mainly are there to give healing and basic support to the units, without drastically buffing them or debuffing their opponents. Theyre just there to make sure the team is alive, and honestly? 🫡 you go babe. heres a free cigarette, on me.

Nanami Kento:

Immediately I knew what the fuck I wanted him to be. Break effect character. Aka, current meta. So, obviously he'd be Boothill and Robin right?? Well—not exactly...

He'd deffo be Boothill thats for sure, but not so much Robin. Nanami's powerset is pretty simple—he focuses on a target and then, depending on his goal and/or amount of cursed energy, proceeds to put a weak point on them of which to hit. He can't be Robin because of how she works—she needs to transform via Ult to deal that optimal break damage and strike weak points despite whatever shes facing not having a fire element weakness. Whereas Nanami can just hit, without needing to transform into something else or needing a cursed tool or something.

For a little bit there, I considered Xueyi but ulimately said no because of her follow up and her being able to attack multiple enemies at once. While yes, I can flavor the follow up as a black flash or something (even though i really shouldn't since black flashes are based off luck and "being in the zone"), the multiple targets thing I really couldn't ignore because we've never seen him attack multiple targets at once—the closest thing we have is him being fast enough and strong enough to one shot curses back to back.

I was left with Sushang and Luka at this point, and ended up with Sushang. I was already settled with Sushang, when I remembered that Luka existed lmao—but decided to give him a shot anyways. I shouldn't have given him that shot because he doesn't fit Nanami as a unit. He's a Nihility "charge" unit—charge in the sense of, he needs to build up a certain stack to properly break and deal damage. When you relate that to Nanami, it doesn't work. Like I said, Nanami is simple and straight-forward, no muss and no fuss. There's a lot of mussing and fussing around with Luka that doesn't mesh well, along with the whole debuff thing Nihility has going—Nanami doesn't do that kind of DOT damage in the series, and doesn't deal too much of a handicap that I could consider it.

Nanami being Boothill and Sushang makes sense to me too. Nanami is a relatively fast person, being able to kind of run on water, fend off dozens of curses at the same time whilst taking minimal damage, and keep up with a Mahito that transformed himself into being really fast, and hits hard—both with the boost and assistance of his technique and without it. Like—he canonically killed Haruta 6 times. Were it not for his Luck Technique, his skull would've been pulverized by the first punch.

Boothill and Sushang's entire deal is to hit hard and hit fast—or at the very least, stay ahead of their opponents in the turn order via Break—Weakness, Super, or otherwise. Boothill's mechanics are a little more complicated than Sushang's but they're relatively simple and tracks with how Nanami works—he can force element weakness (Nanami's CT), hits really good and really hard to those he's focused on/appiled weakness on (nanami's CT again), and is able to clear out multiple enemies at once/inquick succession despite being a single target focus due to how strong and fast he is (nanami's CT and fighting style in general). Sushang's mechanics are much more barebones—she hits hard and she hits fast, which is basically the essence of Nanami in battle.

Haibara Yuu:

Motherfucker dude, this one is EASY—my boy is OBVIOUSLY Pompom. BUT NO WAIT IM BEING FR THO—we barely see him in both the manga and the anime, and I even looked up whether or not he's a playable unit in JJK Cursed Clash or JJK Phantom Parade. He's not there dawg. He's literally just the mascot—😭😭😭 UGYFHBKSFSBHVDVKFHKSD

And as much as I'd love to make assumptions abt his technique and how he works—aka theorize abt the meaning of his name, make educated guesses with the short screentime he had, I don't think I can make a good guess or assumption on how he works.

- would probably die the first time he smoked pot, no matter what he smoked it from he will most likely pass out and not wake up for a good few hours

- cannot figure out a pipe like at all he just can't seem to hold it the right way or how long he's supposed to hold his thumb and then inhale he just cannot do it

- his favorite method is probably a bong like power, the bigger the better for him, he probably threw up the first time though from accidentally hitting it too hard 💀

- denji is okay with joints or blunts, but if you ask him to light it he will say he's worried of burning his face off with a lighter that close (fair tbh) so you always have to do it unfortunately

18. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

Yes. Yes. Yes.

I usually retitle a fic or chapter at least once. I used to sit and agonize over the coolest title and just could NOT move on until I've done it, but now I just relax because I know I can update it. Generally what it's named in my Scrivener project is just some sort of placeholder or feeling. My usual vibe is "lyrics from a song which vibes" (yes. it is often the mountain goats... but not always! sometimes it's brown bird.) or "common phrase, but changed slightly" or "technical in-joke". Whatever I find most amusing.

Recently posted a fic called "done dying" which was originally titled "anthem for the already defeated" both of them from song titles (the first is actually "When I Was Done Dying"). I wrote all of the "the binds that tie" (playing with "the ties that bind") before settling on the title, but in my drafts it was always 'sudo chown -R vim:vim .' (now the chapter title). I like to have my cake and eat it too whenever possible. For stuff I can't come up with names for I've started titling them 'scrap: brief summary' or something I think is grandiose or funny so I can stop obsessing over it and start writing lol.

74. You’ve posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you’d written it?

Gosh. I've been thinking about this lately, and I do think I have a distinctive style but it's hard to describe because it's just.. the way I write? I know I have a problem repeating adjectives like 'just' 'some' 'only' a lot, so that's one give away. My habit of just smash-cutting into the middle of a scene without much setup is probably another. My habit of using repetitive sentence construction to hammer in a point. My habit of writing too much damn banter.

26. Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

Tbh the damn things overlap was created to be each damn thing overlapping the next, a huge mess, very little time to breathe (condensing the canon timeline down to about two weeks of Valentine going through main storyline stuff. ~a week of which is actually in the the fic!) I wanted to write a story where you feel relieved when characters get to sit down or take a nap, and I think I've succeeded thus far.

Honorable mention to when her edges soften, where Johnny and Valentine hit the town and each other. Straight from "I'm not gonna fuck you" to competitively tracking the number of orgasms they've both had in the past 3 hours while fucking in alleyways and cars. That might qualify as a sort of wild ride. :3

We do indeed take asks for advice! We're just really bad at answering them in timely manner, eheh.

I must admit I'm a little confused, because you seem to switch between the possibility of me being wrong about plurality and me being wrong about your plurality, but I shall answer both! (No offense taken to either question, if that was a concern.)

When we first discovered our system, we had a lot of the same fears; probably our biggest one was that we were just making up conversations in our head. It wasn't so much that we feared we were faking as we were worried about being wrong, so we get where you're coming from with usual "you're not faking" sentiments not helping. So what did we do?

We made what we call a proof book!

It doesn't have to be an actual book. A proof book is simply a record, mental, physical, or digital, of signs and symptoms that support your hypothesis of being a system (or, tbh, anything else you're questioning). While all the internal communication/hearing voices signs were dismissible as our imagination, we could not so easily dismiss evidence* such as not feeling in control of our body (depersonalization), uncontrollable accents, or the people around us noticing changes in our personality. Whenever we started doubting ourselves, we'd ask if the doubts had any good arguments, and, if so, we'd compare the arguments to what was written in our proof book. After all, people don't really talk about it, but sometimes the doubts have a point! It's not so easy to dismiss doubts that have a point – but at the same time, it's hard for doubts to adapt their argument against one piece of evidence to a book of evidence.

*now that we think about it, the name "evidence book" might have been better, but that doesn't roll off the tongue as easily.

We still have doubts, occasionally. But between the proof book growing as we do and our lived experience where living as a system has been better for us than living as a singlet with system suspicions, it's a lot easier to combat those fears.

If you're questioning being a system but have some doubts, you can also make a proof book! And in the end, if you find out it's all better evidence for something else that's not plurality, then hey! Look at you, already ready with a proof book to smash any doubts you have about that thing fitting you.

As for the people who come to us in asks, you're right that we can't tell for certain. But tbh, us knowing for certain the details of other people's lives isn't a concern. We're a mentally ill adult with worries like "what jobs are available in our area" and "what if I'm secretly a horrible person"; we don't really like to spend too much time worrying about doubting other people. Believing people at their word about something that doesn't really affect our life too much... it kind of just helps with the whole "leading a happy and healthy life" goal we have, y'know? Rather than scour asks looking for any sign of bad intentions, getting ourselves worked up, and possibly setting off a chain reaction of discourse and offense if we see faking where there isn't any, we just answer an ask and go on with our day. If someone who sends in an ask is faking, that's not our problem. If someone who sends in an ask ends up being wrong about their plurality, that's also not our problem. Our problem is the sheer amount of unanswered asks in our inbox. Of course, we'll do our best to give advice if they come to us looking for it [about their situations], but we're not in the habit of fact checking the lives of our askers. Just brings us down and makes us more fearful and untrusting of other people.

All that really matters is if we feel we did alright when answering their ask, which we really can't do if we just accuse them as faking. You see, even if one of our askers is faking, one of our followers may have a similar question or real experience close to what they made up, and those people may want to hear our response. In those cases, it's better to show compassion and interest for the sake of your audience, wouldn't you agree? By assuming honesty even when what's being said is strange, we create a better environment on this blog for not just ourselves, and not just our askers, but also the rest of our followers. And that's really all we want! We don't like suspecting people and people don't like being suspected – by trusting people on their problems and experiences, even if they sound strange or "faked", we're being kind. (Or at least, we're being open-minded, which is something we strive to achieve.) And kindness is often passed on, even if not by the person receiving it; if we take people by their word, no matter how strange, we inspire others to do the same, which amounts to a more accepting community. Which, personally, I think is much better than a community that accuses others of faking on a whim.

Never thought I'd say this line that's beginning to sound cliché on the internet, but we have bigger things to worry about than if any random ask in our inbox is from a faker.

Loved Writing the Most: Old Tricks, Same Treats is my pride and joy. Sure, it's my most popular work, but it means a whole lot to me to make a story with my favorite character with my favorite trope and make it come out in the way I actually envisioned! Like I think about it all the time; how it makes me proud that I made that piece and how I wish to make a series for it when I get the time.

Others Loved; I Didn't: mmmmm I'mma be real with you; none really come to mind. but, if I had to really pick, maybe Gotta Have "U" in Sugar??? idk, at the time of writing it, I thought it was a pretty good concept. But now, it was my first long fic and tbh, I think I could do a better job structuring the story or actually have Toji be, well, Toji. i don't know....maybe a concept I can pick up again? who knows.

Most Fun to Write: Omgggg I'd give that to Sink Your Teeth to Drink!! that was my second time writing for Choso (sadddd i love him sm) and it was with a prompt that fit him so well!! I tried to make it as cute and funny as possible, but also hot and steamy, ya know. omg, I just realized I never proofread that one.....might have to fix that ngl, hehe.

Most Proud Of: I'd give that to SMASH or SLASH[er]!! tbh. It was the first fic I got to make after my one or two-month hiatus from fanfic writing. And not only was it my first time writing a threesome fic (holy shit!!), but I believe this was a pivotal point for me in terms and a foundation for how I write fics as of now. I owe this fic a lot for my growth, so I'm still kinda psyched about writing it myself.

Wished Had More Recognition: I'd say I Can Drink Your Sorrow for this one. It was my first time writing a full fic for Gojo, so I kinda get how it didn't get traction. However, I did put a lot of heavy emotion into the story and tried to make it not about the smut. It's a pretty mild yet messy story, esp at the end.

Happiest: Bear Mine is probabaly it, bc 1) i'd love to have babies with toji lmfaooo, 2) I love having the opportunity to explore toji's vulnerable side when I can. Whenever I go back and read this, I can't stop fighting the smile as I read! Like yes, Toji having happiness in his life which he deserves!?? Sign me up!! and tbh, a close second would be this fic as well...

Saddest: I Can Drink Your Sorrow; again, has a lot of heavy emotion because I wanted the reader to actually feel the goat from Gojo's perspective and what he was doing. I guess I wouldn't say it's "sad," but the way he beats himself up over what he did (which is valid) is a bit heart-wrenching.

Comedic: lol i think that one goes to Seven Hellish Minutes of Heaven; idkkkk i guess it's bc i modleled from conversations with my friends to make the bickering and insults between reader and Gojo seem more realistic, but funny at the same time, ya know? I think writing for him is where I find it easiest to come up with comedy dialogue, so (as of recent) I'd say this is my most funniest.

It is insanely long, 20 minutes...but i think i covered everything...or at least i hope so. Hopefully this will clear out some of the confusion regarding Anne Boleyn's true looks.

Tbh researching thre records was very frustrating to me, took me several weeks...and especially frustrating was realising that so many people haven't researched what she wore on the most important day of her life...(spoiler!).

I was sick for 6 weeks towards end of year...the covid is nasty b...even when it is milder form, it keeps coming back...over and over again... But i am finally healthy again...so expect some new posts soon.

Regarding some of my artwork(if we can call it that) used in video, i dont mind if you use it. Although i am not entirely sure how it is with copyrights of the most happy medal, so beware there.

This one is based upon it:

the stripy fabric on gable hood has truly intricate pattern in the medal, but the bodice was smashed pretty bad, as was jewelry...and face of course...thus we cannot tell exact shape of them, nor of that decorative line on her chest...what that was supposed to look like. i expect something similiar to embroidery on Jane Seymour.

B pendant/necklace portrait:

the necklace is obviously ment to be from pearls...i made it in just grey lines...but what surprised me is that i am not sure if the side lines/necklace is truly the golden chain as in most versions...or if it is another line of pearls...

and i took creative liberties with the pendant(there was literal gemstone in that place), other possibility would be to have chest brooch with large pearl...but normally those have pearls hanging down from it, not on top...i am not sure if some chest brooch was there or not.

also many lines were smudged and hard to tell apart(bilements on french hood), and i suspect that since the necklace is quite regular on left side...that it is ment to be also on right side, that the damage caused the irregularity.

But what absolutely needs to be repeat again...we have yet to find original inspiration for that ring...we have missing Tudor original...and we should be on lookout for it. And since the ring is too damn tiny for most people to realise what is even there...i created this, so you would have better visual clue.

Dynamight came crashing through the ER doors with a scowl on his face. The nurses at the front desk sat back in their chairs when his fiery eyes fixated on them.

"Where is she?" he demanded loudly. "Fucking speak!"

He rolled his eyes and slammed his fist down on the desk, splintering the wood beneath. "(F/n L/n), dumbass! Ain't many other people I'd fucking be here for!"

Moments later, Katsuki was lumbering through the pulmonary ward of the hospital, his shoulders flexing as his gauntlets swung at his sides, gritting his teeth and growling at anyone who stood between him and the door of your hospital room.

One nurse started to ask for his identification until another nurse put their hand on her shoulder and shook their head no.

He'd talked the talk and walked the walk but when he turned the door handle to enter your room, he did so with such a careful, fluid motion so as not to wake you if you were sleeping.

He held onto the door as it closed behind him, letting it latch with a quiet click before turning it loose. He took one graceful stride after another, his heavy boots hitting the tiled floor like feathers as he moved in closer to your motionless body.

Katsuki Bakugou was a hard man, tough as nails and always ready to take on whatever threat or villain or challenge life could possibly throw at him head first. What he wasn't prepared for was some nameless, faceless enemy that had taken up residence in your body. Probably tiny - microscopic, even - and hiding in places he could never see. He felt helpless. He could hear your labored breaths even as he remembered his promise to himself going into this: that he wouldn't fucking cry. But he stood corrected, one tear...then another falling onto the clean, white sheet next to the tube that had been medically inserted into your lung to keep it inflated.

He took your limp hand into his - hard, rough, calloused, and shaking - and kissed your forehead. "I don't know what the fuck this is, baby, but once I find out I'm gonna kick it in it's tiny, shitty balls and make it wish it never found you."

You'd yelled at him to leave, tears streaming down your face, angry that he had led you on only for him to act like he felt nothing for you.

He thought about how little he cared about your smile. How few shits he gave about all the times you'd run your fingers through his thick, unruly blond hair. He rolled his amber eyes at the idea that his heart especially ached on the nights and days you didn't spend together. The great explosion user gripped the steering wheel harder, the leather protesting and smoking underneath his sparking death grip.

You'd cried and told him that he was too scared to be loved. He had scoffed and told you he wasn't scared of shit.

But now he was scared shitless.

Scared that he might lose you forever.

He white-knuckled the steering wheel, strategically yanking it around while pulling on the hand brake before speeding off in the direction from whence he'd come.

You rolled your eyes, opened your front door, and sighed. "What is it, Bakugou?"

"Wow. So we’re not even on a first name basis anymore?"

You crossed your arms and tapped your foot. “You’ve got about 5 seconds to tell me what it is you’re here for then I’m closing this door.”

Hurt flashed across his features before his game face returned. “Come on, quit acting like you don’t care anymore. I know you still love m- hey!”

You’d started to shut the door in his face, but he stopped it with the toe of his boot, his ash blond bangs obscuring his eyes. “I miss you, damn it," he grumbled. "Need to talk to you.”

You kept one hand on the open door and propped the other on your jutted hip. “Too bad, I don’t wanna talk to you anymore.”

“You don’t mean that.”

“Yes, Bakugou, I do. Now just-“ The edges of your eyes burned with the threat of tears. You fought the urge to throw yourself into his arms, which would be a hell of a lot easier if he wasn’t standing right in front of you. He smelled so good. His scent had all but worn off of your sheets and pillows. “Just go.”

“We can get through this, (Y/n). We've fought and won tougher battles than this together.”

“Stop.”

“It doesn’t have to be like this.”

“Yes, it does. I can’t do this anymore, Katsuki, please.” Your bottom lip quivered.

“Hey…” He reached for you, but you pulled away.

“No, Katsuki. I don't wanna fight with you anymore! I can’t handle-" Your voice cracked as the first tears fell. "All I’ve ever wanted to do is just love you, but it feels like that’s never been enough for you!”

“(Y/n)…” He reached for you again and this time you let him pull you into him. You really were too tired to fight with your lover anymore, and he felt like home. "It's more than enough, babe. It's the only thing I need. Always has been." He held your sobbing form in his arms.

Your weak fist landed against his hard chest. "I'm so mad at you, but I love you so fucking much and I hate you for it, Katsuki," you whined.

He pressed his lips into your hair. "That's okay, you can hate me...as long as you never stop loving me."

"I'm fucking serious!"

He pulled back to look at you. "What? You think I'm not? Hah? You're my entire fucking world, (Y/n)! If you leave my life, I swear to god I'll blow up a star and create a new world with you in it just so I can be with you again."

You sniffed. "Katsuki..."

He put his hand in your hair. "Baby, I start shit with you because I love you."

You hid your wet face against his arm and chuckled. "That doesn't even make sense."

"I know, but it's fucking true. I just don't know how else to express how passionate I am with you sometimes. I'm an idiot, alright? Ya happy now?"

"No."

The up-and-coming pro hero squeezed you tight. "When's the last time you ate? I can feel your fucking ribs."

Your voice was muffled by the material of his shirt, now damp with your tears. "Yesterday."

He kissed your forehead. "Come on, let me make you something to eat."

He felt skinnier too. "When's the last time you ate?" you said, sniffling and looking up at him with red, puffy eyes.

"Tuesday", he mumbled. Today was Thursday.

You make a very good point and upon second though I genuinely feel bad for skimming over that when I found this old post way back in my blog.

I did dig up what episode it was to see how accurate the notes were, this was episode 20 of season 2, and while it's been a while since I watched this show I don't recall multiple years passing between the first and second season, so he and Joan likely had only been living together for a year at this point, and while they click pretty well from the start, this very much is within the part of the show where Joan and Sherlock are still leaning how to live together and thus they aren't perfectly in sync...but tbh even when they are they both tend to be overdramatic and blunt in weird ways with each other, so all that to say this really isn't too far outside their normal.

Elementary goes in hard on Sherlock struggling with addiction(this show is actually one of the most profoundly compassionate and heartbreakingly accurate depictions of addiction I have ever seen on mainstream TV). Joan lives with him because she's supposed to be helping him recover as a sort of live-in support/accountability partner, and you can understand someone like Sherlock not being super jazzed about that, and that on top of her bluntness adds some interesting tension to their relationship. However, this Sherlock is MUCH closer to his book counterpart in terms of being a decent person, and while he still does struggle to maintain relationships and interact appropriately with people, he is FAR from the kind of person who would intentionally try to exert power over someone through violence and intimidation. Yes, he fucked up and shouldn't have done this, but Joan was never in amy danger here, and the plot of the episode, which was omitted from this post, drives home that this wasn't about her at all.

In this episode Sherlock is grieving the death of a dear friend, and the subplot is about how badly he's handling it. This friend was a fellow recovering addict who was several decades clean, and Sherlock, who has so far struggled to even make it very long at all, saw him not only as a cherished friend, but a sort of beacon, showing him that recovery was not only possible, but worth it. That would be enough to put anyone in crisis mode, but to top it off before this friend died he relapsed, which has essentially destroyed Sherlock's belief that he will ever truly leave his addiction behind him. So he's both processing extreme grief, but is untethered from one of his core driving motivations to heal. Taking that into consideration it's a miracle Sherlock is functioning AT ALL imo, and the A plot being about a potential Anthrax outbreak def is just adding stress on top of stress.

Idk who the plate belongs to, at this point Joan has been living there long enough that her belongings are mixed in with Sherlock's, but he throws the plate not to hurt Joan or exert power over her through intimidation, but because he's in the middle of a severe mental health crisis. THAT DOESNT MAKE IT OKAY, but it is important to keep the actual thought process behind the action in mind. Also, iirc Joan had been pushing him to open up a bit as she noticed he'd clearly not been handling this news well and was hiding things from her, which OF COURSE doesn't mean she deserves to be treated poorly, but it does prove that she was extremely comfortable in the situation. She was 100% confident that she could push Sherlock without her being harmed.

The passive aggressive dish smash on her part is part of her pushing him, she's not showing him that he's being a big baby, she's making it clear that this sort of behavior isn't a good outlet for his feelings, and also giving him the push he needs to realize that he has been treating her poorly(not physically, just being a lot more abrasive than he needs to be and blowing off her attempts to offer him support) throughout the episode. It is CRUCIAL to be aware of the fact that immediately after this he apologizes to her.

I do feel like BBC Sherlock maybe got so popular people kinda got a bit of cultural amnesia and started to project his truly unacceptable and not-book accurate asshole-ishness onto all other versions of the character. Yes, Elementary's Sherlock is still rude and abrasive, but he is not an abusive person. This is not a power play, he is not breaking something of Joan's to intimidate or control her. He cares deeply for Joan even after a single year, and this lapse in behavior is due to a devastating turn of events paired with an extremely high-stakes case that he struggles to process. And Joan herself is aware that she's not in any danger, because she while she doesn't know everything about Sherlock, she knows him well enough by now to be certain that even at one of the lowest emotional points in his life she can push him and be blunt and he still would never hurt her.

So yeah, it is pretty crappy to strip this of it's full context to paint the man as the obvious abuser purposefully intimidating a woman who decides to stand up for herself bcs #feminism rather than a moment where a recovering addict is crumbling under heaps of unbearable stress that make him act in ways he typically wouldn't BUT ARE STILL NOT OKAY and as a result his close, trusted friend that he sees as an equal(if not better) shows him that bottling up his feelings isn't helping and throwing shit is irrational/won't fix the problem in the one way she knows will actually cut through the stress and get through to him.

Edit: I want to make it abundantly clear that I do not think it was okay for Sherlock to do this I just wanted to illustrate WHY he did it and agree with the above comment about how his actions can be unacceptable and irrational without being abusive or threatening.

final countdown: day 12

so i skipped a day bc i wasnt feeling good yesterday. coming back, i didnt want to go hard, just worked on the little things and im pretty happy with most of the format i done on twitch so far. it's starting to all come together.

i said it before i tend to set high expectations and goals for myself. it usually go something like this want a twitch landing page -> look at reference aka the actual twitch landing page -> looks fucking hard to replicate -> groans and say it's impossible, do not want to do it-> request denies -> tries to figure how this fucking thing work to meet my visions -> a lot of bumps and groans but eventually comes up with solution -> figures out many of the parts but a few tricky things idk how to do but it's a big part of the fic -> this is my roadblock which i keep hitting against the wall over and over again till i find the best tool to smash through -> eventually my persistent pays off and problem is semi-fixed and i get what i want like 95% of it.

that's a pretty good percentage so i cant complaint. i cant like make AN EXACT replica of twitter/twitch/tumblr because i HAVE NO CODING SKILL to do that but make it come close as possible with WHAT I KNOW. this got me this far so it's what work for me. i do not recommend for anyone else. if you ever look at my htlm/css it's a fucking mess but idk how to fix or make it cleaner/simpler bc i literality do no have the actual coding knowledge to it. the entire fic is made out of tables, color fonts, screenshot image and free graphics lol. it's very hazaredly made but it works.

anyway, i was working on something benign and probably forgetful. i wanted the streamer's avatars to show up under each of their video stream on the landing page and i couldnt get it quite right but i figured how to resolved it and that what i was working on.

im not sure what i plan to do after this. theres not many social media sites for me to do tbh lol. so i probably wont do anymore formating when i can just copy & paste the reference into the next part so thats one of the thing once you have all the coding set you can just c&p to the next part and just rewrite the text. less work, yet i kinda ok maybe miss just formating and figuring how coding works. it's fucking challenge and make me want to smash my head but the thrill of solving a problem is so satisfying.

In the book, Terry divided bits of him and Neil up carefully to make hilariously balanced characters who were perfectly mismatched to each other.

Crowley pretends he doesn't care, because that's his job, and it's also how he survives. But he actually cares about stuff a lot, so much that he gets all anxious and flaily about it.

Aziraphale's job is to care. But most of the time, he doesn't. And it's not out of judgement! He's just lazy and self-indulgent, which I 200% think is less of a character flaw than, like, something that can happen to keep you from achieving your larger goals sometimes.

And Aziraphale doesn't have any Larger Goals, because there's only one Larger Goal as far as he's concerned, and it's not his goal, and he honestly isn't even sure what the End Goal Is, so like... ??? What's he supposed to do, ultimately?

Just his best, when he can, but also as little of consequence as possible except what he's told and what seems completely harmless. Like enjoying a spot of barbecue.

It’s so funny trying to figure out Aziraphale because what I see is half of his character being righteous and good, and then another 30 percent is being a really indulgent older gay man who is nice but definitely judgmental of people he doesn’t like, and then another 15 percent is this horny soft dom who is orchestrating incredibly complicated situations to turn on his bitchy little sub, and then the other 5 percent is a frenzied uncontrollable side that comes out when he’s under extreme duress and has no problem burning everything down if he must.

I love the final battle between Randall&Feather/Ragazzo, how it's all about Ragazzo keeping his walls up until they finally manage to connect together. It was heartbreaking to see Ferdinand come and betray him like this, and the reveals of just All The Abuses just made it so much worse. I think like. him betraying Ragazzo is expected in a sense, we don't trust Ferdinand here. But the way he did it, and the way Ragazzo answered to the Horrors just by saying he wishes Ferdinand had pat him on the head and told him he did good? I'm going to kill Ferdinand myself with my own bare hands.

TIKOH ABSOLUTE ICON. We love one revengeful Erune who totally deserves to maim and kill that man.

HELL YeAH! you still have the "Observation" bonus story that serves as an epilogue with some more lore and plot there though ;D
