I feel like the reason why I'm usually not a fan of my own works and constantly needing to improve is because I naturally thrive off of messy, chaotic scribbly lines in my paintings but there's an annoyingly irritating paint bug in my head that insists that I need to "clean it up" to make my art look more "presentable".

Despite the cozy vibes, the dynamic light and atmosphere of the first painting, I prefer the methods I used for the second one. Yet I go for the first one's process, as it is the most effective way to render.

Truth be told, I don't like how smooth and clean these final products are, and every time, it feels like an obligation I have to maintain, and it is because I use this methods most while doing commissions. But the question is; how would I stop when it's been my method to use for years?

Anyways yeah my point is people can do whatever they want and ship whatever characters they feel like BUT please realize shipping an aro and/or ace character with someone is the same as shipping a gay character with a girl. Sure you can do it, but it's disrespectful, especially to those of us with such little rep in the first place.

like, i get that some people like female idol x male reader (even though the female to male irl reader's extremely disproportional), and that straight idols exist (im all for fantasizing with whatever safely), but OMG i want the female readers to, not only be mentioned, but have the same amount of impressions as the "male reader"

i think about the oak twins a lot..especially considering the whole twins ending the world together thing, i just think that its such an interesting concept and i love to play with that, twins and siblings in media are so fun

the fact they're considered "the same person twice" constantly, and the way that they put each other over themselves and others, the codependency and different ways they mirror and reflect each other in different ways...the fact that sparrow was able to argue with henry as lark in such a convincing way that no one suspected it could've been the other twin, how lark is convincing enough as sparrow that it takes noticing the tattoos for sparrows own son to realize he was talking to lark instead-

they're both the lord of chaos, we rarely get a scene where the other twin isn't at least present in the room, and if we do its because they've been forcibly separated from each other- they share initiatives, they're together when we see them in Neverwinter, the school dance, and Papa John's, they share a wife-

like they're so different in ways but also the same, and they know each other as well as they know themselves, and when there was no one else there for either twin they still had each other, they both now how fucked up and shitty they are, yet they stick together and work as one, they both take the blame constantly for each others actions, like how sparrow talks about how he released the doodler as well, even though that was lark, and lark takes responsibility for code purple as well,

i just love them a lot and they're such interesting characters with a cool ass dynamic,

i will never not feel so bad for ian because of how his parents treated him.

as far as we know, ian was the only one who was physically abused by frank throughout his childhood. frank hated ian the most because he “looked the most like his mother” (and the most like frank’s brother, clayton, ian’s actual dad clayton, but nobody actually ever says that) and ian thinking that he looks/acts like monica seriously effects him later on. frank treats him like absolute dog shit, and we hear ian say that when he was six frank locked him in the basement for days. one of the biggest things about shameless is the “cycle of abuse” and frank’s treatment of ian is ironic because from what we know, frank was the only one his parents ever abused (physically, at least).

and for monica, ian was his favorite. i don’t give a shit if fiona says that lip is her favorite, from monica’s first episode’s it’s been apparent that it’s ian. for example- not giving a shit about any of her children’s accomplishments until it comes to ian, and her eyes light up, or making lasagna “ian’s favorite” (it’s not). but being monica’s favorite isn’t actually a good thing. monica seriously abused ian, too, and people don’t always awknolege that. their relationship was built on manipulation, monica’s victim complex, and neglect. she did nothing but use and hurt him, and whether or not she really loved him doesn’t really matter because either way it just hurt him. and the saddest thing is no matter how far away he pushes her, he’s still attached and he still loves her. we don’t know what she truly put him through as a child, but we can assume that it was hell. from ian’s whole speech to her in 7x09 we can tell that he definitely needed her, but she was never there. this is also apparent in fiona’s monologue in 7x12.

also, in season 11 when debbie tells frank, “you ruined love for me!” that definitely also applies to what ian was saying in season 10 about having frank and monica as role models for love. they damaged him so fucking badly and even though he did get a happy ending, he got totally screwed over.

i get that people hate ian for saying that frank was worse than terry in hall of shame, and i made a whole post about that (here!), and although if we’re really thinking about it, yeah, terry was technically worse; ian still went through so much traumatic shit that needs to be taken into account.

Little rant abt Grian in my au below ^^

Also I’ve been trying a new way too like texture my art, it’s literally only a small change but just a heads up ya know?

(Sorry for making the beginning ‘A’s’ capitalized in Avian it’s just so I can see it better) ((My reading is kinda odd ok and my eyes go blurry way too easily so the ‘A’s’ are like a weird bookmark for me ok-))

In my au the term Avian is like a loose term for all bird like creatures (so feathers, wings, bird legs, etc) some of the basic terms to spilt the Avian’s up are omnivores, herbivores, and carnivores (little dino coded silly’s) omnivores make up majority of avians with carnivore Avians being rarest. Then there’s also more specific terms to do with wing patterns, birth area, actual species and cultures that I haven’t decided on names and some ideas for just yet but will eventually.

Now some silly facts about Avians, shiny obsessed with jewelry, craftsman ship, just anything shiny and steal-able. Avians nest a lot but not for things like mating or whatever, it’s actually comforting and relaxing for them to have some sort of nest esc things they might put some of their stuff they collected within the nest. Their just trinket obsessed silly’s. Now not every Avian does this constantly or even does it all it really depends on species and personal preferences.

Grian is one who loves this and frequently takes friends clothes to add onto to his nest to protect his little trinkets.

HLVRAI fandom try not to kill an already small/dying fanbase challenge failed.

I've never written a fanfic in my life and here I am working on two (2)!!!!! frenrey ones. Trying to do my absolute best with writing all characters involved and I keep seeing posts just absolutely shitting on people who "mischaracterize" the characters in fanfics/fanart by doing "x, y, z, etc." with a lot of people agreeing and complaining about it and like...I don't even want to write anymore bc y'all just suck the fun and joy out of it.

Not to mention the amount of toxic posts about how if you "do/don't draw a HLVRAI character x, y, z way then it's wrong and blah blah blah". Got me fucked up and making me confirm that the decision to never post any of my art (bc I know it's not great but I'm trying my best just like everyone else here is!!!!), is the right way to go.

This fandom is barely alive as it is and y'all have the gall to go and shit on content creators for not doing it "correctly" or 100% accurate to the source videos??? Take a minute to think about how maybe the creator is new to writing/drawing for the fandom or that the way they do something is to make THEMSELVES happy and they want to share it with the rest of the fandom in hopes that someone else will like it too?

The bad lot of you never fucking learned the basic rule of "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" or to idk...have some common decency?

Maybe just ignore or block something you don't like and go about your day like a normal adult?? Crazy concept I know but it works and you guys should try it sometime instead of hating on people who are literally providing free content and taking time out of their life to produce it bc its fun and makes them happy.

I'd say I'm sorry for the rant but I'm not. Some of you need a reality check about learning how to treat others even if you don't agree with the way they do something, or just need to learn to grow up and ignore shit you don't like. It's not hard at all and it'll make your life so much better I promise.

Does anyone actually know how to properly communicate and make conversation with people? Cause I'd absolutely love to talk to someone abt bugsnax (maybe even my au or someone's else's, but nobody asks abt that) but I'm afraid that I will seem not very intelligent and word things oddly. As well as get characters wrong.

It does get lonely when nobody really wishes to communicate with you or when you're too afraid to talk abt smth you really want to. I really want to seem like I'm a cool artist in the bugsnax fandom who's very knowledgeable and has an awesome AU that I've worked a really long time on, like one of the big dogs! But its real hard when nobody wants to talk to you or when you're too anxious to add yourself into a conversation. But that's probably my fault I suppose as I'm not good with talking/speaking, as well as not being very good at writing and making comics like all the other artists.
