Hot take?
I don’t want LadyNoir to be together romantically… not until after the reveal!
I’m sorry I just… I love them the most with a besties dynamic. And yes, this includes the flirting and stuff, bc to me, most of the time when LB would reciprocate it, it seemed like two friends flirting with each other for fun! And I adore that dynamic!
Now, after the reveal is a different story bc ofc I want them to be romantic partners!! But think about it, it would just never work without them revealing their identities first.
Also, the power imbalance would be too much for me. The way LB treats CN oftentimes (however unintentional) already rubs me the wrong way. And I just don’t feel that with Adrienette.

(Accidental 150 Follower Special) IOTA's Top 10 Worst Episodes of Miraculous Ladybug (Part 1)
If you saw one of my earlier posts, an anon asked what my favorite and least favorite episodes of Miraculous Ladybug were. So, I decided to make a little list explaining the best and worst this show has to offer.
A few quick ground rules here. I'm not going to list any episodes I had previously talked about in some of my other posts. This includes “Kung Food”, “Animaestro”, “Syren”, “Reflekdoll”, “Chameleon”, and most of the episodes relating to Chloe's “damnation arc” that Astruc planned since he first created the character (“Despair Bear”, “Queen Wasp”, “Malediktator” and “Battle of the Miraculous”). Also, I'm not counting the specials, mainly because aren't listed as episodes, and because I don't want to talk about them.
Other than that, anything goes, so let's get things started with the worst list.
These are the Top 10 Worst Episodes of Miraculous Ladybug (in my personal opinion because your opinion is also valid)
#10: Stormy Weather 2
“Stormy Weather” was the very first episode of the show, and it really made a good impression on new viewers. So naturally, when it was announced that Stormy Weather would return, fans were excited. Then when the episode aired, Hawkmoth gave her even more powers, including the power to create a volcano big enough to potentially knock the planet out of orbit when it erupts. So Ladybug and Cat Noir have no choice but to stop the villain once again.
What does this plot lead to?
youtube
Yep, this episode is nothing more than a clip show. I understand that clip shows and bottle episodes are a necessary evil, but why would you set up something this awesome with a fan-favorite Akuma like Stormy Weather, and then not even bother to show it?
This episode is yet another attempt at showing that the show totally has character development. The whole reason Aurore is Akumatized into Stormy Weather again is because Chloe says that people can't change because Astruc (who was one of the four people writing this episode) is determined to make you hate this teenage girl more than the main villain of the show.
So of course, everyone spends most of the episode talking about how much they've changed, which is represented through clips of past episodes that do a horrible job at actually conveying any development.
According to Marinette, Adrien has “become a friend she can talk to about anything, except when it comes to her feelings for him”. Ah yes, you can tell they're friends by the fact that they barely hang out together, much less share a conversation because the writers are going to drag out the whole “Marinette stammering in front of Adrien” until they get tired of it. So basically, never.
All Alya and Nino talk about is how Ladybug helped them become a couple, and become superheroes, even though neither of those are actually related to character development. Though that is a fitting metaphor for the way both of their personalities have basically devolved to “the couple”.
Chloe talks about how nicer she's gotten, while footage of her doing awful things is played. I wonder who wrote that part in...
Even Ladybug and Cat Noir talk about how much they've grown and how stronger they've gotten, as opposed to focusing on STOPPING ANOTHER ICE AGE FROM HAPPENING. How can Hawkmoth even think this will get him the Miraculous? Yeah, sure I guess he can get them from the frozen corpses of our heroes, but what then? He still doomed humanity, and I don't think he can reverse the damage like Ladybug.
Towards the end, the clip show becomes slightly interesting, as Adrien mentions an unsigned card he got for Valentine's Day in “Dark Cupid”, and how similar the handwriting looks to Marinette's.
Does this lead to Adrien figuring out Marinette has feelings for him? Is the sky bright red? Both of these questions have the same answer.
Yeah, out of nowhere, Adrien just mentions Luka, who wasn't mentioned at all in this episode, and immediately thinks Marinette is in love with him. And that's how the episode ends.
I put this at the bottom of the list because I don't think it's completely fair to judge clip shows, but even some clip shows at least try to put in some effort and justify the clips, like what The Legend of Korra and some seasons of Power Rangers did. And the fact that the whole point of the episode is a poor excuse to claim that there's character development in the show only makes it even more infuriating.
Oh my God, this is only Number 10...
#9: Oblivio
While I already talked about “Cat Blanc”, this episode shares a similar theme as that episode: Giving viewers what they've wanted for three seasons, Marinette and Adrien finally learning each other's identity and starting a romantic relationship... only for the reset button to be once again slammed, making the entire episode pointless.
The only difference is that unlike in “Cat Blanc”, where there was an actual love confession that made sense, here, Marinette and Adrien find out the other's identity when they get their memories wiped by the Akuma of the week, Oblivio.
From then on, it's just fanservice. Instead of actually developing the relationship between Marinette and Adrien, the writers just decide to cram an entire episode worth of Adrienette content into a single episode just to tide fans over. Marinette and Adrien seriously fall in love despite only knowing each other for like, an hour at most. And the fact that the writers undo all the romantic progress of the episode makes it come across as pointless.
But the ending is what really cements this episode's spot on the list. As soon as Oblivio is defeated, Alya takes a picture of Ladybug and Cat Noir kissing without their consent and then rubs it in Ladybug's face.
Even though Ladybug doesn't know the circumstances (she has no memory of the events of the episode), this was still an invasion of her privacy, and she looks horrified by the picture that Alya is obviously going to post on her blog.
And of course, Cat Noir is more than happy to see it, ignoring how Ladybug feels and claims that they'd make a great couple. Because everyone knows good couples are formed by someone gaslighting the other into going out with them.
But wait, it gets better! In the next scene, we learn that Alya and Nino were akumatized into Oblivio... because they were caught in an embarrassing situation by their peers.
Alya: Remember when we visited Montparnasse Tower? Well, we went and hid to play Super Penguino, but Ms. Bustier caught us, and...
Nino: And you guys made fun of us for playing that game, saying it wasn't our age and all.
Alya: We were totally embarrassed at getting caught.
This was my thought process when I first heard Alya and Nino's explanation.
youtube
How can Alya claim to take a compromising picture of Ladybug, ignore how she feels, and not realize the similarity from when she and Nino were akumatized? This is what completely killed Alya for me in canon. This was the point where I couldn't care less if Marinette was friends with her or not. Sure, there are still fanfics, but those actually portray her with some kind of conscious. So to summarize, Fanon Alya is awesome, but I hope Canon Alya's 4G plan runs out.
This episode is just forgettable, but the ending made things worse. Apart from, I guess the action scenes and some funny jokes, this episode has no redeeming qualities. Like, literally the best thing to come from this episode was @miraculouscontent‘s LadyBugOut AU, as it actually addressed the hypocrisy of Alya's character, among other problematic aspects of the show.
#8: Oni-Chan
Just a heads up, most of the episodes on this list are from Season 3. Just want to give you an idea of what to expect.
This episode is about Lila tricking Adrien into helping with her homework, when she is only doing it to get closer to Adrien. Marinette tries to spy on the two and stop Lila from hurting Adrien... even though she knows Adrien is aware that Lila is a liar, and is visibly uncomfortable around her.
And because the episode spends so much time on Marinette following Adrien and Lila, the buildup to Kagami getting akumatized is incredibly rushed. Seriously, she gets a single line of dialogue before she gets akumatized, and the motive is ridiculous too. Lila sends a picture of her forcing a kiss on Adrien, and Kagami immediately bursts into tears at the sight of it.
But wait, it gets better! When Kagami is akumatized into Oni-Chan (the writers know that's a term used for males in Japan, right?), she turns into a psycho hellbent on killing Lila because “Adrien doesn't deserve her”. Most of her dialogue is her saying how much she loves Adrien, making her come across as, for lack of a better word, a yandere.
This episode just destroys Kagami's character, making her as unlikable as Katie Killjoy in the process. If it wasn't for “Ikari Gozen” actually treating her like a human being (obviously Astruc's planned character development from the beginning), I'd completely hate her.
It also shows how much of an evil genius Lila is, as she has the brilliant idea to convince Oni-Chan to kill the only person capable of saving her from the Akuma's wrath. And this somehow gives Hawkmoth the idea to forge an alliance with Lila. It's also another reason why I believe in Darwinism.
This episode is low on the list because it does have a few redeeming qualities, like Lila facing consequences for lying, however brief they may be, and it has a great character moment with Adrien realizing on his own how terrible Lila really is, a far cry from what he was like in “Chameleon”.
Other than that, it's pretty bad, and still deserves a spot on this list.
#7: Antibug
HA! I said MOST of the episodes involving Chloe's “Damnation Arc” wouldn't be on this list, but not ALL OF THEM, so this one counts! Take that, convoluted rules I made up for some reason!
What was I talking about again? Oh right, “Antibug”. Oh crap, “Antibug”...
This is one of of several episodes in Miraculous Ladybug that really should have been a two-parter. It tries to be daring and includes two Akumas in one episode, but both of them are poorly executed.
An invisibly entity starts harassing Chloe, so Ladybug and Cat Noir start an investigation. It turns out to be Chloe's lackey Sabrina, who was akumatized after a falling out between the two. Well, I say “falling out” lightly, because what actually happened was that Chloe and Sabrina were cosplaying as Ladybug and Cat Noir, Chloe pretended to be the real deal while crashing an interview with Jagged Stone before Sabrina accidentally blew her cover, causing Chloe to be humiliated on TV and end her “friendship” with Sabrina.
Ladybug learns this from Chloe's butler, while Chloe never mentions the incident. So when Ladybug and Cat Noir engage the Akuma, Ladybug ignores Chloe's advice on where the corrupted object, naturally not trusting her judgment. And this is portrayed as a bad thing.
This episode is the start of a long-running trend in Miraculous Ladybug: Marinette needing to learn a lesson, while Adrien/Cat Noir is the one to help teach that lesson.
Chloe did nothing to help, only made things worse, and lied about why Sabrina got akumatized. It's kind of obvious why Ladybug wouldn't trust her word. The whole point of The Boy Who Cried Wolf wasn't to trust the liar after all.
But if that was all the episode did, it wouldn't be on the list, because now, the narrative wants to make the audience feel bad for Chloe before she gets akumatized into Antibug... who is just a lazy palette swap because new character models are expensive.
This part of the episode isn't nearly as bad as the first half, but like “Oni-Chan”, Chloe's akumatization is incredibly rushed, and we don't really get a chance to sympathize with her before she goes full Antibug.
Even Antibug herself isn't that interesting of a villain. The whole idea of an evil doppelganger is that they're a perfect match for the hero, but we only see Ladybug and Antibug fight for a few seconds, while Cat Noir does most of the fighting with her while Marinette's Kwami recharges. I like that Ladybug and Cat Noir show their teamwork to defeat Antibug, but I feel it would have been more interesting to see Ladybug and Antibug duke it out before Cat Noir helps turn the tide.
Again, this episode really needed to be a two-parter to better expand on the story presented here, because it had a really interesting premise. I'd personally read the version of “Antibug” in @justanotherpersonsuniverse‘s “The Adventures of Panthera Noire” (an AU fanfic where shy girl Juleka gets the Cat Miraculous instead of Adrien). Not only does it have two separate chapters for Vanisher and Antibug, it also does a good job of setting Chloe on an actual redemption arc, unlike Astruc's “damnation arc”.
#6: The Puppeteer 2
As much as I've ragged on Adrien/Cat Noir in some of my other posts (and will continue to do so in this list), that doesn't mean I think Marinette has problems too, and this episode is a prime example.
Marinette and Adrien go to a wax statue museum with their friends (and Manon), but because of a poor choice of words by Nino, Adrien thinks that Marinette hates him. So he does something that everyone loves, practical jokes.
Adrien seriously thinks that pranking Marinette will improve her opinion of him. Even the prank is ridiculous, pretending to be a wax statue to make her laugh. And it leads to... Oh God... This is easily the contender for one of the worst moments in the entire show. Marinette goes up to the statue and... gets close to it. Yes, we, the audience know that this isn't a statue, but putting that aside, just look at what Marinette does to the “statue” (AUTHOR’S NOTE: I made a gif from the episode, but it wouldn’t go through, so I recommend you check out the episode and watch the statue scene for yourself if you don’t value your sanity). Even Adrien, as dense as he can be, is a little unsettled by what Marinette does.
If the scene was about Marinette talking about her feelings for Adrien, I'd be more lenient on it, but this? This is just uncomfortable to watch.
Even the dialogue makes Marinette sound incredibly creepy.
Marinette: Wow... it looks so... real. The wax is nearly as hot as skin. It even smells exactly like him...! Oh, beautiful statue of Adrien, your wax is so soft! Your yak hair is silky. Your eyes are so green. Oh, shall I be a statue, too! Everything would be so much easier. Why haven't we been molded together in the plaster of destiny? Marble to marble, wax lips against wax lips, entwined for eternity...
I think Gilbert Gottfried said it best.
youtube
This scene alone put this episode on the list, and the Akuma doesn't make it better. I really liked “The Puppeteer”, and I thought her ability to control past Akuma victims was incredibly fun to watch. And when she returns to take control of the wax statues of past Akumas they... don't use their powers (with the exception), and serve as cannon fodder for Ladybug and Cat Noir to plow through, making the return of the villain very underwhelming.
Even the end where Adrien tells Marinette that he is in love with someone and only sees her as a friend. This should devastate Marinette, but in the next scene, thanks to some fortune cookie nonsense from Tikki, she's still unsure about her relationship with Adrien, and that's how the episode ends. Seriously. Because just need to keep the status quo consistent, right? It's not like Marinette doubting her crush on Adrien and worrying that she's just wasted her time would have been interesting to see, right? Play that happy ending theme already!
Of all the episodes on this list, this is the one I was dreading talking about the most because of some of the moments here. And yet, there are still episodes that are worse than this one...

According to production codes (confirmed by Astruc to be the order they created them in and best watch order) Party Crasher then Puppeteer 2 are the last 2 episodes before Chat Blanc, Felix, Ladybug, and the finale. What are your thoughts on that? Also, due to status quo, do you think there will be any romantic relationships with anyone regarding the mains anytime soon (by the end of next season)
I’m going to be honest with you, I haven’t been watching the new episodes, and I don’t really plan to until everything’s out, specifically because all the episodes have been airing out of order. I really don’t like the statue scene however, because you know… it was impossible not to get spoiled on that.
I really, really hate that Marinette is always the one to get majorly embarrassed when in regards to her crush. I keep hearing people excuse it by saying ‘We’ve all had embarrassing moments from teenaged crushes!’ and here’s the thing… that’s not my problem with it.
My problem is that Marinette is the ONLY ONE ever humiliated for having a crush.
Literally there is NEVER a Ladrien or Ladynoir moment where Adrien/Chat Noir severely humiliates himself in front of Ladybug as a result of his crush. Adrien almost never acts like a truly awkward and smitten teenager and that’s, in my opinion, completely unfair. (Any moments he DOES have where he’s being weird are pretty unmemorable, so no, they don’t count.)
The embarrassment Marinette is put through is legit severely traumatising. I’m speaking from experience, these are the types of incidents you will remember well into your adulthood, and no, it’s not always something to laugh about when you’re older.
Marinette’s crush was outed on live television to the entirety of Paris without her consent, for example. That is not something you forget about. That’s going to be something so mortifying that she’ll have anxiety-induced dreams about it for years. That’s going to be something that she’ll remember right before going to bed, and it’ll still be so humiliating that it’ll keep her up at night dwelling on it. (How the FUCK was she not the one to get akumatised?)
Furthermore, any and all attempts Marinette makes in making her feelings known always come back to bite her in the ass. It’s exhausting to watch, and I can only imagine how exhausting it would be to live with. I can’t find myself rooting for it anymore. I sincerely just want her to give up on him at this point.
Also… you know what really bothers me?
Chat Noir is implied to be able to confess to Ladybug without anything seriously straining their friendship, even if she were to reject him. Which she did. With the way the writers keep avoiding Marinette the chance to confess, it seems to imply to me that her and Adrien’s friendship is, in comparison, really fragile. That if she were to confess, it would crumble. That’s… unbalanced. And makes no sense because they keep going back and forth between ‘Marinette has perfectly fine moments around Adrien without any stuttering and they’re super great, close friends!’ and ‘Marinette is entirely incapable of forming complete sentences around Adrien and cannot be in the same room with him at all!’
What the fuck?
I’m getting sick of this. Everyone keeps saying Adrienette is endgame, but here’s the truth for you guys: It’s Not. You know what is endgame? Ladynoir. Because with the way things are going, it’s entirely obvious that Marinette is not even on Adrien’s romantic radar. But you know what, Chat Noir is on Marinette’s. She’s already openly admitted that if it weren’t for Adrien, she may have really considered Chat Noir. We’re shown time and time again that Ladybug does, indeed, have a soft spot for Chat Noir.
But for some reason, Adrien can’t do the same for Marinette. This isn’t about loyalty to one’s crush, because you know, Adrien’s been flat out rejected twice now and has even attempted to date another girl. No, this is what they’re telling us: Adrien isn’t interested in Marinette at all. She is LITERALLY the girl behind the mask, the very woman he said that he’d love, but he doesn’t feel anything romantic for her. Clearly he thinks she has all the good qualities that Ladybug has! After all, he compliments her all the time and has even called her an everyday Ladybug! But, no, he still doesn’t like her. Why is that?
Honestly, at this point the only conclusion I can come to is that there’s just something inherently about Marinette that he just doesn’t like. He’s already shown that he’s capable of looking towards other girls, so I don’t want to hear the ‘loyalty to Ladybug’ excuse. The fact of the matter is that there’s something about Marinette that rules her out as a romantic interest to him.
Which, uh, is bad. At this point, the only way I can see them getting together is either is Ladybug finally decides to return Chat Noir’s affections, or an identity reveal happens. (And sorry guys, I can NEVER see Marinette using Ladybug to date a civilian, so I don’t see Ladrien happening either.)
I’m gonna be honest with you, as much as I like Ladynoir, I’m going to be upset if this is how it happens. That Adrien is rewarded for continuously attempting to capture Ladybug’s heart despite her repetitively telling him no. Like, did you guys see what happened with Oblivio? He got them both into serious shit because he was busy lounging around trying to flirt while Ladybug was doing all the work. Like, I’m not messing with you, he got them both hit by a memory wipe akuma because of his bullshit.
Unless Adrien learns about the concept of ‘time and place,’ and unless Adrien learns to respect boundaries and take a solid ‘no’ for an answer, I’m going to be FURIOUS if this is how Ladynoir happens.
And if they get together because of an identity reveal… No. I’m not going to be happy. Y’all can say whatever you like, but unless Adrien acknowledges that he COULD at least see Marinette in a romantic light, their relationship after an identity reveal would essentially boil down to this: Adrien’s only dating Marinette because she’s Ladybug. Before he had discovered her being Ladybug, he wouldn’t have even considered it, not for a moment.
You can understand why that really upsets me, right?
(I have SO MUCH MORE to say about this, but I’m gonna wrap this up.)
In conclusion, I sincerely hope that they don’t get together by this season. Or, at least, not unless some of the upcoming episodes have Adrien and Marinette go through some serious development. AKA, Adrien accepting Ladybug’s responses, and Marinette, if not outright letting go, calming down her crush enough that it no longer results in her dignity getting sacrificed.
…
(Also, I DEMAND we have scenes where Adrien embarrasses the FUCK out of himself in front of Ladybug, now. Both as his civilian self and as his superhero self. It’s EQUALITY! HUMILIATE THE RICH BOY, YOU COWARDS.)
(Like I said, I wouldn’t have so much of a problem with Marinette getting humiliated all the time if it weren’t for the fact that she’s the only one to ever be humiliated so severely at all. She’s not the only awkward teenager in the show.)

Preparing for Alya’s Birthday
---
Early Saturday morning, there was a knock on the bakery door. The bakery opened a little later on the weekends, but Marinette was up for a special occasion. Her parents would be waking shortly to help, as well.
Marinette went over to the door and quickly opened it, grabbing the wrist of the person outside and dragging him in. "I hope no one was watching because that entire thing looked...very weird from an outside perspective," Adrien commented.
"It's the weekend. Most of Paris isn't awake yet," She reasoned. "Thanks for coming so early. I let my parents sleep in because you were able to come over," She told him. "We have a lot to get together, and Nino will be calling me soon to reassure his side of the plan. This is going to be Alya's best birthday ever."
Adrien smiled as he followed Marinette into the kitchen. "How did your video with Chat Noir go?" He asked. It was only two days ago they recorded, and she has not released the video yet. In reality, Adrien was genuinely curious about how she thought it went, as he had so much fun with it.
Marinette shrugged. "It was awesome. We've come across each other every once in a while, and sometimes he stops by when I'm on my balcony, and he happens to be out, so we've talked. It was like just shooting a video with a friend. But..." Marinette sighed. "I'm debating if I should even release it."
"What? Why?" Adrien gasped. Was she really that disappointed with him and the video?
"Don't get me wrong; the video was amazing. I'm just worried about the fans," She told him. "You know what it was like when we became closer friends, and you started appearing in my videos. Every video, even if you aren't in it, has comments about how we should be together. I can't post a tweet or a photo on Instagram without people talking about Adrienette," Marinette said. "I don't want Chat Noir to have to go through that. He already deals with it with Ladybug, and I'm afraid the comments could get personal, trying to figure out who he is, and just never-ending shipping," Marinette rambled as she moved boxes around.
Adrien stared at her, trying to comprehend everything she said. "Do you...do you know who he is?"
She shook her head. "No, but I'd like to say we're friends. I don't want to put him through all the stress-"
"You've said yourself he's a fan. Alya said he was really excited to do the video and work with you, right? If he were so worried about the fans, he wouldn't do anything public. He wouldn't stop to talk to citizens, let alone do a video with you. But he does both; I don't think it's anything you should be worried about," Adrien put his hand on her shoulder, a comforting smile.
Marinette nodded slowly. "You're right. I'm just stressing with everything on my plate right now. Plus, I probably should post the video. I don't want to disappoint him! He said he was going to have a viewing with Ladybug," She giggled.
Adrien laughed along, opening a box Marinette handed him. Though he was hiding it on the inside, he couldn't remember telling Marinette or Alya he was going to watch the video with Ladybug as soon as it came out. He brushed it off, though, as he has also been super busy and had a lot on his mind. "Sounds like you've got your answer, then," Adrien told her.
"Thank you, Adrien," She said. "Now, we need to pull out every piece of party supplies and decorations we can find. We're decorating the whole bakery- inside and out," Marinette directed. "So let's get digging!" She said and started pulling out a few streamers and unopened packs of napkins.
Adrien started looking through the box and saw Marinette's camera sitting on the table a few feet away. "Hey, Mari, were you going to record today?" He called over to her.
She sighed in thought. "I was planning to, but I don't know. I keep going back and forth- maybe this is something we need to enjoy ourselves," She began rambling again. "What do you think?"
"I think you should. Maybe for your second channel, though," Adrien turned to her. "I mean, she does so much behind the camera for you, maybe this is a chance to celebrate her on camera," He suggested.
Marinette perked up. "You know, that's an excellent idea."
Adrien snatched the camera off the table. "I'll start!" He pressed the record button with a huge smile on his face, mentally switching into English. "Hey! I'm Adrien!" He copied Marinette's introduction as she rolled her eyes in the background. "Today is Alya's birthday. So, Marinette and I are awake before most of Paris to prepare for her day. She's turning 18, and this is our last big thing before we're back at school after the spring break," He explained.
Marinette cleared her throat to remind him that she is also there. "Oh, yeah, Marinette's here," He pointed the camera to her.
Marinette shook her head. "I think you covered it all," She said, giving him a pat on the back. "Good job."
"So what I'm hearing is it's my channel now," Adrien winked.
"Yeah, right!" Marinette shouted, jumping up to grab the camera.
Adrien laughed and held the camera as high as he could. It was clear Marinette couldn't reach it, as Adrien is so much taller than Marinette. He was nonstop laughing as she continued to try to get her camera back. "Adrien, I could take you down right now," She told him. "Small, but mighty."
"I do not doubt that, Mari," Adrien stopped laughing and handed her back the camera, but there was still a big smile on her face.
"What are you two doing?" Sabine chuckled as she walked down the stairs behind them. "You're going to wake up the whole street."
Marinette cringed. "Sorry, mom. Guess we were just having too much fun getting things together."
Sabine nodded. "Well, your father is going to start the cake soon, and you know he needs the space if we're going to pull off what you want for Alya. So grab the boxes and head out front?" She told them. Marinette shut off the camera and her and Adrien picked up boxes and walked out of the kitchen.
"We do tend to get a little distracted when there's a camera around," Marinette told Adrien.
"It's instinct. A fashion model, and a Youtuber: we're natural camera addicts!" Adrien laughed. "Oh my gosh, you guys have Ladybug and Chat Noir party supplies?"
Marinette stood next to him as he pulled the supplies out of the box. "Of course. You remember who we're throwing the party for, right?"
Adrien nodded at the plates, napkins, and pack of balloons he pulled out. "I didn't realize they had party supplies for Ladybug and Chat Noir," He said. "But it's kind of awesome."
"Yeah, you know they're everywhere. I also got red and black banners, green and black cups, and cupcake toppers to stick in the cake with Ladybug on it. Like I said, best birthday ever," Marinette said with pride. It had always been a little weird to have her best friend idolize her superhero form, but she knew Alya was a genuine fan of the heroes of Paris. Marinette knew that, and it was proven even more when Alya gave up her temporary Miraculous, when she really didn't want to. But she couldn't let Ladybug down.
Adrien grabbed the camera again and started recording. "Did you guys know that they sell Ladybug and Chat Noir party decor? Crazy!" Adrien showed the camera. In the background, Marinette was standing on a chair to hang streamers and a banner- the words HAPPY BIRTHDAY sitting on the table next to her.
Her phone rang at full blast, and Marinette screamed in shock. "Mari!" Adrien shouted, setting down the camera and running over to her and she almost fell off the chair. She put her arms out to the side to try to catch her balance and the chair only wobbled. After being so clumsy, and learning the fast reflexes of a superhero, she had gotten good at catching herself. "Good catch," He complimented her.
Marinette nodded her head and pulled her phone out of her pocket. "Oh, it's Nino," She paused and answered it. "Hey, Nino. You heading to Alya's?"
"Yeah, what time do you want us to come to the bakery?" Nino asked, and Marinette put him on speaker.
"Everyone will be here around eleven, so maybe eleven-thirty? We'll have everything set up by then, and all the food and desserts will be ready," Marinette told him.
"Maybe!" Adrien added. "We keep getting distracted with vlogging," He told Nino.
