Los mecanismos corporales son interesantes puntos de partida para desglosar sentimientos abstractos Como el miedo o el stress. Y aunque a veces quiero meterlos bajo la alfombra🍓 Sabemos que estan ahi esperando para volver a salir o habitar otro cuerpo. Son transpasables, contagiosos y hereditarios. Comence a tomar contacto con el mundo textil estando embarazada de #nino. Le hice una blusa bellisima imaginando como seria su cuerpo sostenido a upa como el mono que sostiene a kimba en el rey leon. Despues de costurada, entraba en un oso de peluche q tenia de niña y nunca entro en el gigante cuerpo de nino al nacer. Una vez nacido, luego de la felicidad y la sangre derramada, comence a sentir esa sed que tengo cuando quiero plasmar algo. Y ahi, revolviendo lo que habia comence a colorear costurando. Luego se transformo en bordado, pero en un comienzo fue tan aventurero para mi como parir en casa. Un parto te cambia la vida. En esas formas de nacer qe somos, aun ahora 7 años despues, en mi botiquin llevo hilos como motor de serenidad. Agua que calma la sed, Lentitud que serena el alma Color que lava el miedo Hoy pase un dia en salas de espera. Y vehiculos q tuve la suerte de no manejar y bordar cada momento. Le agradezco hoy, infinitamente a mi madre por elegirme y estar juntas. It’s in my genes to have a passion for fabrics, and all the beautiful sewing notions, vintage patterns and buttons. My sister and I treated my Grandma Vina’s button tin like treasure. On sunday’s I would draft ‘patterns on butchers paper, and would play in the sewing room and make dresses for my dolls while grandma cooked the traditional lamb roast. I’m still a slow stitch method sewer,making everything with the tiniest most obsessive stitches. ..Even curtains! Grandma taught me how to pull dresses apart and make a pattern onto newspaper.
