What is Insomnia?
Insomnia is a condition characterized by difficulty initiating or maintaining sleep. It can be short-term (acute), lasting a few days or weeks, or long-term (chronic), persisting for months or longer. Without proper treatment, insomnia can lead to daytime fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and long-term health problems such as cardiovascular issues and weakened immunity.
Symptoms of Insomnia
Common symptoms of insomnia include:
Difficulty falling asleep, even when tired
Waking up frequently during the night
Waking up too early and being unable to fall back asleep
Feeling tired or unrested after sleeping
Difficulty concentrating, memory problems, or irritability during the day
If these symptoms persist for more than a few weeks, itâs essential to consult a healthcare provider for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Causes of Insomnia
Insomnia can result from a variety of factors, including:
Stress and Anxiety â Worries about work, finances, or personal relationships can keep your mind active at night.
Medical Conditions â Chronic pain, respiratory issues, or conditions like asthma and arthritis can interfere with sleep.
Lifestyle Factors â Irregular sleep schedules, excessive caffeine intake, or late-night screen use can disrupt your bodyâs natural sleep rhythm.
Medications â Certain drugs, including antidepressants and stimulants, may cause sleep disturbances.
Environmental Factors â Noise, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, or disruptions in routine can affect sleep quality.
Understanding the underlying cause is crucial for effective treatment.

-Disclaimer- Despite the biblical inspiration (as I am a Christian witch), I have tried to make the ritual as inclusive as possible, so that it can be used by anyone.
âźÂ Milk & Honey âź
Milk and honey recalls the biblica image of a perfect land so fertile its green hills flow with honey dripping from its hives, like liquid gold in the sunlight. A spacious land covered with pink hawthorn, red cyclamen, and white rockrose. There are the flowers of its myriad wild fruits, and the warm valley air smelling of their nectar.
This ritual is therefore meant for: Peace, prosperity, success, fertility, thanksgiving.
Associations:Â It is a ritual linked to spring and the sun.
Colors: white, yellow, gold.
When: There is no fairer time than another to do it. Made in the hottest hours of the day, when the sun is at its peak it could be a little more powerful, but do it whenever you want or need it.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of honey (about 50g) - sweetness; representation of gold.
Half a cup of milk (about 125ml) - prosperity; success; protection; nourishment. If you don't like milk from an animal or are sensitive to dairy, you can use any other type of vegetable milk associated with your intentions (e.g. soy milk is great for job success).
Your favorite incense (if you do not have or cannot use incense, replace it with essential oil of your choice or olive oil).
A white candle on which you will engrave a symbol or seal that corresponds to your intentions.
A gold-colored candle (also yellow or white is fine) to clean the space, give more push and power.
How to cast:
After having dosed the two ingredients separately, mix them together in a container until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. If you prefer the mixture to remain denser, you can use yogurt.
When the mixture is ready, ignite the incense and pass the mixture into the smoke (if you donât have or cannot use incense, pour three drops of essential oil of your choice or olive oil into the mixture).
Say: I make this offering to (the earth, your divinity, the universe, ancestors, etc.). As tank for the many blessing I have received and those I shall some day receive. I know mote it be.
Light the candles (if you are doing this spell for a particular reason (you want work or school success, because you need economic peace, you want to thank your divinity for something in particular etc.) you can write your intention on a sheet of paper and burn it in the candle flame. It isnât necessary, but it can be useful to center your intentions).
Apply the compound obtained on the root and length of the hair accompanying the action with gentle massages. Continue to massage for a few minutes (the mask should be applied to dry hair before shampooing).
Leave on for about 15 minutes, covering your hair with a bathing cap or plastic bag.
While you wait, you can relax and meditate, write on your book of shadows, do other spells, sit in the sun, draw, or do your chores while listening to the music that you remember the spring / summer, the sun or your divinity etc. anything related to the sun, light or spring / summer is fine.
After the laying time, rinse the head thoroughly, taking care that all the product is removed, to avoid the appearance of unpleasant halos after drying. Then proceed to wash your hair with your usual shampoo.
When you are finished, blow out the candles and instead let the incense burn (let it consume itself).
WORNING!
If the scalp is irritated, avoid applying this hair mask by consulting a specialist doctor.
Check that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients (even if you use essential oils instead of incense).
If after applying the hair mask nourish a sense of irritation, rinse the head thoroughly and do the shampoo again.
OTHER USES: If you don't want to cast this spell / ritual as a hair mask, you can change the way you use it: you can then use it as a face / body mask or as a drink, keeping the rest of the ritual unchanged. Note: if you use it as a drink, donât use essential oils or olive oil inside. As said before, if you donât want or cannot use incense to purify the mixture, if you have to ingest it, use cinnamon or vanilla instead of incense.
If you use it for hair, know that:
Honey deeply moisturizes the hair, in fact it is the ideal ingredient for brittle and dry hair that needs nourishment from the roots to the ends, regaining softness and lightness even to the touch.
Honey strengthens the hair and thanks to its restorative properties it repairs the internal breakages of the hair. For this reason, the hair mask with honey and milk especially benefits hair that breaks, as it is weakened by the action of external agents such as the heat of the hair dryer and plates, the constant washing, the action of the sun.
In addition, honey restores the dull and dry hair to new shine and radiance, giving the face even more vigor.
Honey has a prolonged action over time so it is sufficient to apply this type of hair mask once a week.
If you use it as a face / body mask:
Both honey and milk possess antimicrobial and cleansing properties. These properties are enhanced when the two are taken together. Numerous cleansers are prepared using milk and honey, because the mixture gives the skin a healthy glow. One can also enjoy a milk and honey bath, by mixing them in equal quantities in the water. The combination is often used in popular spas throughout the world.
If you use it as a drink, know that:
Help the digestion
Honey has long been known as a source of prebiotics, which are nutrients that stimulate the growth and development of probiotics, which are beneficial bacteria that grow and develop in our intestines and digestive system.
Prebiotics have demonstrated a stimulatory effect on bifidobacteria, a type of probiotic that is found in milk. The carbohydrates and oligosaccharides in honey promote the healthy and proper function of these beneficial bacteria that are essential for the healthy maintenance and function of the GI tract. When the bacterial balance in the digestive tract is good, it eliminates a number of irritating conditions, including constipation, cramps, bloating, and it prevents the development of detrimental bacterial growth!
Help the resistance:
A glass of milk and honey every morning is known to improve a personâs stamina. While milk contains proteins, honey contains the necessary carbohydrates required for effective stimulus of the metabolism. Milk and honey provides a boost in strength to everyone, including children and the elderly. Animal proteins from milk are broken down by enzymes into their basic amino acids, and are then reformed to create usable proteins for humans. The excess material in this transformation is then oxidized as usable energy. Proteins are an essential part of the human diet, and honey helps to stimulate their metabolism!
Help  Bone Health:
As research on honey continues, it is gradually becoming clear that honey acts as a carrier and a transport of nutrients from food throughout the body. Specifically, honey has shown itself to be integral in the bodyâs uptake of calcium, of which milk is a rich source. Therefore, consuming honey and milk together will not only give your body the necessary nutrient (calcium) to benefit your bone health, but also the nutrient to maximize the absorption of it into your body. Proper calcium levels can prevent conditions like osteoporosis and inflammation of the joints as we age!
Help for Insomnia:
Honey and milk have both been traditionally used as remedies for insomnia and sleeplessness. Individually, they are both effective, but the effects are strengthened when taken together. Honey is one of the rare sugary foods that causes a controlled increase in the amount of insulin being secreted, which also promotes tryptophan to be released into the brain. Tryptophan is normally converted into serotonin, which induces a feeling of relaxation. Furthermore, serotonin is commonly converted to melatonin, a well-researched sleep aid. Through that rather confusing chemical pathway, honey and milk can be used to reduce sleeplessness!
Have Anti-Aging Properties:
The combination of milk and honey impacts not only the skin, but also the rest of the body, by making it agile and youthful. People in many ancient civilizations, including the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and Indians, drank milk and honey to preserve their youth. Since milk and honey can help to ensure long life, the combination was known as âthe elixir of life.â
The many antioxidant properties that occur when milk and honey are combined are the scientific explanation behind the anti-aging properties, because antioxidants attack the free radicals which so drastically affect the organ systems. They are also one of the primary causes behind skin degradation, wrinkles, blotches, and general failing health of your bodyâs largest organ, the skin!
It owns Antibacterial Properties:
Research has shown that milk and honey have a more pronounced effect on staphylococcus bacteria than milk or honey when taken alone. It is also believed that honey, added to warm milk, cures constipation, flatulence and intestine disorders. It is also good for treating respiratory disorders such as colds and coughs.
The benefits of honey and milk on the human body are so enormous that the phrase âland of milk and honeyâ meaning âa place which has plentyâ is commonly used. Jerusalem is referred to as the land of milk and honey in the Old Testament, so they probably enjoyed a wealth of health benefits back then!
  For all those interested:
The phrase âa land flowing [or âthat flowethâ] with milk and honeyâ appears 20 times in our King James Bibleâ
Exodus 3:8, Exodus 3:17, Exodus 13:5, Exodus 33:3, Leviticus 20:24, Numbers 13:27, Numbers 14:8, Numbers 16:13, Numbers 16:14, Deuteronomy 6:3, Deuteronomy 11:9, Deuteronomy 26:9, Deuteronomy 26:15, Deuteronomy 27:3, Deuteronomy 31:20, Joshua 5:6, Jeremiah 11:5, Jeremiah 32:22, Ezekiel 20:6, and Ezekiel 20:15.

Heliskiing Definition & Meaning
A in style product for groups up to four skiers or snowboarders who're eager for a full-day of skiing with a connoisseur picnic on the mountain. The Elite Charter supplies runs in a number of the most iconic terrain within the Southern Lakes region. Alpine Heliski has developed a comprehensive snow and avalanche administration system.
We had the best guides and simple transfers, and we liked each minute of the cherry blossom expertise. Stay in a secluded and modern styled Ryokan amongst the white birch trees of Hanazono Wood in Japanâs North Island. The Zaborin Ryokan was created to embody a recent expertise of Japanese traditions whilst providing a tranquil and distant Heli skiing setting for friends to meditate and reflect. Each guest house has genuine Japanese sleeping arrangements in addition to two non-public hot spring baths â one indoor and one open-air onsen for âforest bathingâ. Both are filled with therapeutic mineral waters from a private volcanic spring.
At the end of the day loosen up in post-colonial luxurious and splendour, and re-fuel with scrumptious home made curry whereas snow leopards and monkeys prowl outdoors. The snow is famously dry and powdery and because of the excessive altitude and the situation, there may be plenty of it. Expect glaciers, bowls and powder fields to play around in every day. For extra epic off-piste powder riding, head somewhat further down the valley to St Foy, which is a small resort with more freeride than pistes. Sign up for the To the Mountains e-newsletter to receive expert-curated offers, trip guides and snow information.
In latest months, Bold, available for constitution with Hill Robinson, has also been spotted braving the cool Canadian waters. Silvertip is an incredible Heli skiing lodge positioned on the shore of Quesnel Lake B.C. We jumped on the opportunity to visit Silvertip in March 2016 as part of its reopening.
Take a half-day or single day trip and keep in the popular resort of Baqueira âBeret for good quality but cheap dining and a vibrant ambiance. March is a good time to book as there has been plenty of snow all season, however it is slightly hotter and the days are longer . Scott Dunn Private is centered on a deep understanding of the value Heli skiing of personal travel and what which means to you. Global adventure specialist EYOS organises heli-skiing journeys to the unspoiled Antarctic wilderness. Carlos Miquel is an expert at crafting superyacht heli-skiing itineraries in the region, together with South American Superyacht Support .

Chulilla - Montanejos - Sagunt
21.10.2018
Another trip! This time by car. Valencia -> Chulilla -> Montanejos -> Sagunt -> Valencia. Â
Why there? Because it was during these stupid rainy days in Valencia and on Sunday was supposed to be sunny on the west part so thatâs why there.
So, we took the car and we went to Chulilla. Most of the way is a highway so fast and easy, with reggaeton music on the radio ;)
Ok, ok. I didnât write what kind of place it is! Be careful. Sit and believe me.
MOUNTAINS!
Yes. I went hiking. HIKING. Incredible, no? And Iâm alive. Que bien! Probably Iâll never go there again, but for sure I recommend! It was amazing, but not my style of living ;) But for sure if you love mountains, hiking, climbing, you should go there! Iâm not specialist but it looks good.
Chulilla is very small town, when we arrived and when we were done there were only few people on the streets. But there is a hostel, so if you would like to explore routes for more than one day, you will have a place to sleep.Â
There is also a castle with looooong wall around.
The city has really crazy (dangerous), narrow, spiral streets. âAt the endâ of the city there is a car park, but you have to pay. On Sundays you can leave your car anywhere else (where is possible) for free. So we found another one of course.Â
Just behind the parking you walk a little bit and then you enter the park.
Itâs incredible! Better to not have any fear of heights, but if I survived - you can do it as well.
There is a river, if you didnât notice. The water may be really blue, but it was after rainy days and the sun was gone :( But still it was awesome!
The plan was to make a round route. First La ruta de los Pantaneros and from the lake just following yellow sign. So here on the map it is: dark and light green. In total around 13km, 5h more or less.
So we were walking, walking, was nice, awesome view, chilling... And then, STAIRS! Just down, to the river, perfect.
Bridge was nothing compare to those stairs.. But yeah, easy, come on.
And then another bridge which was much better, with awesome view, perfect for a break :D
Perfect breakfast doesnât exi...
And here you have some photos from down. âIâm just a little girl lost in the moment...â
And then just last minutes of this route, between some hight plants, close to the river.
Then finally we got first point - Pantano Loriguilla. This meant that now we can decide, come back the same way or just take the yellow route and make a circle. Unanimously circle. We came from the left side, from this jungle and we were supposed to go to the right, towards the hill.
Weather was crazy, was really light but cloudy at the same time. So pity that water wasnât that blue as we saw in google :(
Whatâs that? Itâs just a dam, you know, water, electricity, etc.
Yeah... it doesnât look special but it was nice in real, seriously! Be careful there. Itâs easy to loose the route. Always follow yellow sign. It means, donât go through this gate, itâs a wrong way!
The correct one is on the left side, small, inconspicuous path.
And here started true hiking... Up, up, up. Never ending story.
akuku.
And then we saw a sign that we can go to see PINTURAS. You know, some drawings on the rocks, prehistoric. Sounds interesting, no? So we went towards those rocks to finds those pinturas. Yeah...
Imagine, the map shows you that you are just next to, but just next to is huge rock. So how?
We heard voices of some people, but we couldnât find the path. Like we were in the corner of nothing. Then Ĺťelek found âstairsâ. You canât even imagine those super cool stairs. Never, never, never again. Why the hell I went there, I donât know, but Iâm glad that I survived. Look. There are stairs.
Move your imagination.
Yeah... such a nice view...
You know why I went up? Because on the map there was like: you go up, see pinturas and take another path to come back. ANOTHER. But in real, you have to go down, come back the same way! Nice to know. And look at these pictures, so cool, no? No. Without a notification Iâd not see them. How did someone notice them? And there were supposed to be 3, I saw only 2... #impossible. Hehe tell me what do you see? XDDDD tip: try to find âred stripsâ xDDDD
Climbing up was much easier compare to go down. In the middle I just sat and couldnât move. The only motivation to move was, I donât wanna stay there anymore. Step by step, like a monkey, I was moving cm by cm sitting. Itâs really steep...
And then to come back to yellow path, we had to climb again, to the other side. Just perfect. But climbing up is much easier than going down, so it was ok. And then the view was really nice, a lot of green around.
The âyellowâ point in the middle - pinturas.
Unforunately tumblr doesnât want to upload panoramic photos :(
So again never ending walking, without climbing, again chilling time in my life. And then you see the city, HOPE!Â
Crazy Chulilla, looks like is stuck to this mountain.
So here are more photos from the city, enjoy.
This building with yellow gate is a hostel.
We decided to go directly do Montanejos and eat there (we were super hungry but we thought that there we can find something interesting to eat). In the car I felt asleep like dead... Not only because I was tired ;) The roads were sooooo spiral! Headache appeared -.- So goodnight with salsa music on the radio. And this was wake-up-view:
Why Montanejos? Because it was on out way and we Karima said that itâs really nice. So why not. Montanejos is called by spanish - villa termal. There are dozen of springs so arabs chose that place to build thermal baths. And surroundings - so beautiful! Iâm from the south of Poland also Iâve spent some holidays in slovakia thermal places so this for me wasnât thermal xD Water was ok, But not 35 degrees... For me thermal is when is +30, when you can be there during the winter to warm up the body. This was more to refresh, when itâs too hot ;) Just next to the entrance there is a car park with a ticket machine. I asked 2 people, I man said - I didnât buy, I donât care, another - Itâs better to buy, there is a man checking, but it was like 1euro I think so ok.
So we wanted finally food! I was dying. And you know what? Everything was closed! EVERYTHING. Spanish time... nosz kuĹşwa nie poje se czĹowiek. So there are no photos from the city because I though only about food. DAME LA COMIDA! So we went to Sagunt with hope! Guess who was the driver this time ;) YES! ME! First time abroad, (probably) first time on the highway. Yeah :D Well done JB! First find a car park, second find food. 30min of walking to finish finally in the only open ârestaurantâ in the city - kebab. At least something. There was some city fiesta and was sunday and was not âdinner timeâ.
Why Sagunt? Again, was on our way and there is a beautiful castle. It was closed already but from down looked incredible. No photos - was dark already. After lovely kebab we went to the port to chill on the beach. And guess what... there were so many open places to eat! Agrrr So remember - the beach part is better! And the moon was amazing :D Tired as fuck we came back to Valencia. So hiking people - read it and enjoy your trips in Spain. Here you have a list of places for hiking (around Valencia):
Forat De Bernia
el Parque Nacional de Ordesa
la Font Roja
La Creueta y el puntal de Mateo
Sierra de EspadĂĄn
Alcoi - Venta de Sant Jordi
etc
I can recommend to go there with an organized trip, for example by:

The DIYs of Garage Door Repair
After a long day at the office and a hefty drive back home, all you can think of is a nice shower and a cup of coffee watching your favorite baseball game. You get home and hit the remote button to open the garage door so that you can park the car and get on with the evening already. Nothing happens, the garage door doesn't open. You click the button repeatedly in frustration, but to no avail. The last thing you want to deal with is a garage door repair Austin!
In such an instance, most people would call the repair guys right away or go get them. How about you take a look at the problem yourself, before you get a cab or run to the nearest dealer or repair shop. Maybe, it's not as big a problem as you think it is, and you can solve it all by yourself. Remember, you were provided with a handbook the day of your garage door installation, which has some troubleshooting guidelines. Of course, it is the first thing you should be looking at.
Let's see what else you can do when your system is acting up.
1. Remote failure is usually the most common cause of a door acting up. Always keep a spare unit with you, so that you can check if the problem lies within the remote or somewhere else.
2.In case your remote seems to be fine, check the sensors, which receive the signals from your remote. See that the sensors are not covered by dust or anything else because that can block the smooth transmission of signals.
3.Once you have checked the remote, see that the hinges and rollers on which the gate moves are properly lubricated. This is one of the major reasons, which make the things worse slowly and steadily, and in the end, you have to spend some bucks on garage door repairs Austin.
4.Also check if all the cables and wires are properly connected and there are no mismatched wires. A prime indicator of this problem is the jamming of the door in the middle or right next to the floor. The door would fluctuate and stop randomly in the middle of opening and closing.
5.The tracks on which your door slides open and shut are held in their place by brackets, which can get loose and cause improper shutting or closing of the door. You can easily fix the problem by slowly tightening the nuts and bolts.
6.There is a chance that the tracks are dented or bent out of shape, if your garage door is an old one and it's been a while since you had it checked by professionals. You can try putting them back in shape with a hammer. Make sure you don't hit too hard or you might break the whole thing itself.
7.If you are living at an excessively cold place, there is a chance that the door gets jammed. See the settings once again and see if adjusting the pressure can help.
8.The last thing that you could check is the torsion spring. The opening and closing of the garage door is controlled by this spring installed on top of the door. This is what pulls your heavy door and it is under immense amount of tension. Beware, this is the dangerous part and you should probably always call in the specialists, unless you have the expertise and tools yourself.
It is generally recommended that anything other than these problems is out of your unprofessional jurisdiction, and you have to call for professional garage door repair Austin. Also, check if the parts of your garage door are outdated. These parts have a working limit and they are supposed to be changed after a certain period of time. In case any of them has expired, you have to get new spare parts for your garage door from a renowned store or dealer, if you want to have a peaceful sleep being sure that nobody can sneak through your half open garage door.

Rheumatologist? What Diseases Do They Treat? | Springhill Primary Care
When dealing with complex joint pain, chronic inflammation, or autoimmune conditions, a rheumatologist can be your best ally in achieving relief and better health. But what exactly do rheumatologists treat? This comprehensive guide will help you understand their expertise, the diseases they manage, and why seeking care close to home in Spring Hill, Brooksville, Hudson, Homosassa, or Port Richey, FL, is essential.
What is a Rheumatologist?
A rheumatologist is a specialized doctor trained to diagnose and treat diseases affecting the joints, muscles, and bones, often involving the immune system. These conditions, collectively known as rheumatology diseases, can significantly impact your quality of life if left untreated.
Rheumatologists are experts in identifying the underlying causes of symptoms like persistent joint pain, swelling, and stiffness. They offer tailored rheumatology treatment plans designed to manage symptoms, prevent complications, and improve overall well-being.
Rheumatology Diseases: What Do Rheumatologists Treat?
Rheumatologists are equipped to treat a wide range of conditions, including:
1. Autoimmune Diseases
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA):Â A chronic inflammatory disorder where the immune system attacks joint tissues.
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (Lupus):Â A condition that can affect joints, skin, kidneys, and other organs.
Psoriatic Arthritis:Â An inflammatory arthritis linked to psoriasis, a skin condition.
2. Chronic Joint Disorders
Osteoarthritis:Â A degenerative joint disease caused by wear and tear on cartilage.
Gout:Â A painful type of arthritis caused by uric acid buildup in the joints.
3. Connective Tissue Diseases
Scleroderma:Â A condition causing hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues.
Vasculitis:Â Inflammation of blood vessels, potentially impacting organs.
4. Other Rheumatology Conditions Treated
Ankylosing Spondylitis:Â Arthritis affecting the spine and large joints.
Fibromyalgia:Â A condition characterized by widespread pain, fatigue, and sleep disturbances.
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis:Â Arthritis in children under 16.
Why Timely Rheumatology Treatment is Crucial
Many rheumatology diseases are progressive, meaning they can worsen over time without proper care. Early diagnosis and rheumatology treatment can:
Reduce pain and inflammation.
Prevent joint damage and organ complications.
Improve mobility and quality of life.
In Spring Hill and surrounding areas like Brooksville, Hudson, Homosassa, and Port Richey, FL, primary care centers often work closely with rheumatologists to ensure a seamless referral process for specialized care.
What to Expect During a Visit to a Rheumatologist
Your first visit to a rheumatologist typically includes:
Comprehensive Evaluation:Â A detailed medical history and physical examination.
Diagnostic Testing:Â Blood tests, imaging studies (like X-rays or MRIs), and specialized tests to pinpoint your condition.
Customized Treatment Plan:Â Based on your diagnosis, the rheumatologist will create a personalized plan, which may include medication, physical therapy, or lifestyle changes.

The Daily Tulip â News From Around The World
Wednesday 25th July 2018
Good Morning Gentle ReaderâŚ.  on this beautiful morning on the Costa del Sol, clear skies, and cool breeze blowing in from the Mediterranean, quite refreshing for a change⌠Bella say good morning, having drunk her water and now sleeping on my foot, and Iâm enjoying the just brewed coffee, so letâs have a look at what Iâve found so farâŚ
STRANDED BRIDE GETS POLICE CAR LIFT TO WEDDING IN BIBURY GLOSTERSHIRE ENGLANDâŚ. A bride was given a lift to her wedding in a police car after her wedding car broke down. The gift of "something borrowed and something blue" arrived in the shape of two Cirencester officers who came to the rescue and picked her up from home. PC Mark Weedon said: "When we first walked in to all the bridesmaids downstairs, we had the usual, 'are you strippers?' which we said we weren't." The driver was unable to contact the bride as the mobile signal was poor. The bridal car broke down in Crickley Hill, Birdlip, about 14 miles from the bride's home in Barnsley, near Cirencester, Gloucestershire. PC Weedon said: "The bride's mum came down and thought there was an issue with the cars parked outside, but once they realised we were police officers and not strippers and we were there because their's had broken down, the bride was cool as a cucumber. "She took it all in her stride, she had a smile on her face and she didn't seem fazed." PC Weedon and Sgt Andy Wood, stepped in to take the bridal party to Cripps Barn after being alerted about the situation from the local road policing unit which was dealing with the broken down car.
TANZANIA HUNT FOR TOP IVORY-SNIFFING DOGâŚ.Police officers in Tanzania are hunting for a talented sniffer dog who has been missing for two days. Hobby is able to catch smugglers at the busy port of Dar es Salaam by sniffing out guns, ivory and drugs. Home Affairs Minister Kangi Lugola gave the police a day to find the dog, but they have so far failed to do so. The minister said Hobby may have been deliberately taken away from the port, where there are only three other sniffer dogs now on duty. "What I have heard about these dogs is quite unpleasant. I'm told some are rented for other uses. I am really saddened by these reports because these dogs are police officers," The Citizen newspaper quoted the minister as saying. In 2016, the US gave Tanzania four dogs trained to detect illegal drugs and ivory at the country's main port and airport. It's unclear if Hobby was one of them.
ARCTIC WILD GOOSE CHASE THREATENS CHICKS AS TEMPERATURES RISEâŚ. Rising temperatures in the Arctic are encouraging Barnacle geese to speed up their migration journeys north every spring, says a new study. But their efforts to go faster are leaving them too drained to lay their eggs early when they arrive. This is bad news for the species as their chicks are hatched too late to take advantage of the best food, so fewer are surviving. The scientists involved say the birds will have to adapt and migrate earlier. Every spring these geese set out from their temperate wintering grounds in the North Sea, often stopping off in the Baltic to rest on their way to their breeding areas in the Russian Arctic. However climate change is seeing spring arrive earlier in the Arctic, something the geese are blissfully unaware of, until about half way through their journeys. "The greening of vegetation as they fly probably gives them information about the earlier spring - as they see things more green that's a cue for them to hurry up, that's what we think," author Bart Nolet from the Netherlands Institute of Ecology told BBC News. One possibility might be moonlight grazing. "They could be able to do that if they forage on moonlit nights as they sometimes do," said Prof Nolet. "They would then be able to fuel up earlier and depart earlier and that would solve the problem of arriving too late," he said. The study has been published in the journal, Current Biology.
MELANOMA BLOOD TEST: SCIENTISTS UNVEIL 'WORLD-FIRST' RESEARCHâŚ. Australian scientists say they have developed a blood test to detect melanoma in its early stages. The test, billed as a world first, is designed to make it easier to spot the skin cancer before it becomes fatal, according to researchers. Currently, doctors rely on skin examinations and biopsies to detect melanoma, which can spread quickly. Researchers say the blood test could provide more accurate results than the human eye, and save many lives. Developed by scientists at Edith Cowan University, the test picks up melanoma by recognising auto-antibodies produced by the body to combat the cancer's early growth. In a trial involving about 200 people - half of whom had the cancer - the test was successful in 81.5% of cases. It will now undergo clinical trials, to take place within three years, in a bid to improve its accuracy to 90%. Researchers hope it could be approved for use within five years. Malignant melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer, is mainly caused by exposure to UV radiation. It often starts with a change in a mole or a new growth on skin. While specialists are well-trained to spot melanoma, Prof Mel Ziman, head of the research team, said the blood test could hasten diagnosis. "Often in routine clinical practice, it can be a little difficult to tell an early stage melanoma from a mole," she told The Daily Tulip. "This blood test will fit in when the patient goes to the clinic to determine whether the lesion is a melanoma. The physician could do the test first before feeling like they have to do a biopsy." The study initially examined 1,627 functional proteins. After analysis, researchers identified 10 auto-antibodies that best indicated the presence of melanoma. Prof Ziman said detecting melanoma early was critical. "If we can remove the melanoma when it is less than 1mm thick, you have a 98-99% chance of survival," she said. "As soon as it spreads further into the skin, survival rates drop dramatically." In Australia, where incidence rates are highest, about 1,500 people die from melanoma each year. The research was published in the journal Oncotarget.
ARGENTINA ROCKER CRISTIAN PITY ĂLVAREZ ACCUSED OF MURDERâŚ. An Argentine rock star, Cristian "Pity" Ălvarez, has been charged with murdering a man outside a flat in Buenos Aires last week. According to the judge's report, the rocker shot the man four times after having a row with him. The victim, Cristian Diaz, has been described as an acquaintance of "Pity" Ălvarez. The lead singer with bands Viejas Locas and Intoxicados said he shot him in self-defence. "I killed him because it was either him or me. Any animal would do the same", "Pity" Ălvarez told reporters. After the fatal shooting, he fled and got rid of the gun, which was later found in a sewer. Cristian Ălvarez handed himself in to the police a few hours after the crime. His lawyer said he had had drug problems, but judge MartĂn Yadarola said he believed the musician knew what he was doing when he committed the crime. He ruled that he undergo a drug addiction programme, but ordered that he must remain under arrest. "Pity" Ălvarez left the band Viejas Locas in 2000 to found Intoxicados, but has since performed in both bands. They have released several successful albums in Argentina.

INGMAR BERGMANâS â FROM THE LIFE OF THE MARIONETTESâ âWeak people choose strange pathsâŚâ
Š 2020 by James Clark
The films of Ingmar Bergman have elicited from his loyalists a bemusing history. At the point where a consensus about the remarkableness of his skills and heart was at full tide, there also began to occur some battle fatigue in face of waves of other demanding presences of his. A pantheon readily arose, by way of influential critics who jumped to the idea that the mother lode had been reached and that the latter flood was secondary and not worth the strain. That Bergman began to produce films by way of television, also seemed a sign of losing it. (Also a sign of the viewersâ easily losing it, was the myopia about films predating 1957, regarded, if at all, as quirkily overreaching.)
For what it might have meant, the television series of Scenes from a Marriage (1973) became a last hiccup before finding other entertainments to go with popcorn. The soap opera (with a difference), in question, displays a couple of patricians and their on-again, off-again liaison, ad nauseam. But Bergman-being-Bergman, he inserts another couple, very different from the silver spoons. The protagonists host a dinner party for their friends, Peter and Katarina, who proceed to humiliate each other. After the hosts are rid of them, they stage a rededication to their superiority. âPeter and Katarina donât speak the same language. We speak the same languageâŚâ Peter and Katarina, played by different actors, in German rather than Swedish, resurface in the 1980 film, From the Life of the Marionettes, in order to elaborate what heterogeneity can look like and feel like. Peter, another silver spoon, manages to remain another Peter Pan. His malaise with a Katarina drawn from one of his staffers, drives him to butcher a prostitute, perform necrophilia upon her and end up in a mental hospital holding his teddy bear. His wife is left to be an adult. Few of the original loyalists would have seen this film. Too bad, because itâs easily as brilliant as Scenes from a Marriage and any of the other films thought to be great.
The immediate shock, so unlike Bergmanâs usual sophisticated procedure, signals, I think, a new form of traction bidding to surmount the dilemmas of a perverse planet. Doing something that new, the project would suggest, might occasion a rich departure.
Therefore the film today begins with the savagery meted to an anonymous  (but eventually named) young girl becoming, in a cowardâs eyes, an enemy army. The first we see of her is a close-up of her lips having been heavily covered with scarlet lipstick, along with a necklace of cheap tags, resembling a dog collar. (This imagery will pay dividends, later.)  Then the attacker whispers, âIâm tiredâŚâ  Long after the presentation of the hookerâs demise, weâre given a second look at the preamble to the horror. She tells him, âI donât smell anything anymore⌠When I was a kid, my mother would take me to see her parents in Denmark. I remember how the seasons smelled. Winter⌠winter smelled like snow, coal stoves and wet gloves. And summer smelled like seaweed and ant hills. Spring smelled like melting ice and snow in ditches⌠budding Easter catkins and rain. But the autumn was the most beautiful of allâŚâ She notices that Peterâs fallen asleep (that being a familiar âglitch,â when a heart was vividly at its best). She comes over and kisses his cheek. âI wasnât asleep,â the Lost Boy lies.
The violence at the shabby brothel speaks to a hatred of nature, in someone letting fear overtake a brave and confused hope. But, as with the victimâs word-choice of âcatkinsâ (a blossom resembling a spike), much thrilling dare and joy anoints her last moments. In his fatigue, she covers his face in a sort of benedictionâher grace engaging his errancy. On the other hand, her swatch of black hair cascading over his head discloses a monstrous figure. During the explosion of his attack, small features speak to the ways of primordial action whereby intensities entail a gentle gift. As she struggles to avoid being crushed, a wash cloth appears on a clothes line. Its contours describe a bear cub. She manages to run to the concernâs stage, a vision of blood red, where two paper palm trees on the wall fail to bring a cogent dance. With each tree, however, as so often maintained, a subterranean force is called upon. Here the crazed figures crash between the trees, describing, instead of a harmony, a horror. At this moment, the coloration subsides to black and white, where many thoughts and many feelings bid for truth.
Though not over the hill like Peter, Katarina has a tiger by the tail which she manages quite badly. Firing up his indiscretion, the body of the work consists of several vignettes regarding his policy of refusal to grow up, and particularly refusing to touch the phenomenon of death. Two weeks before decimating a large percentage of the poetry of Munich, Peter Pan sees fit to pay a visit to a family friend by the name of  Mogens Jensen, a professor of psychiatry. (At another instalment, twenty hours after the murder, that academic was quick to insist, to some kind of tribunal, that, âTo be honest, I am deeply shocked. Iâve known Peter Egermann for twenty years. He is an amiable, talented, conscientious man whom everyone likes, as far as I know. Heâs happily married to a hardworking career woman. He has a large circle of friends and leads a comfortable, rather modest life. A charming mother, Cordelia Egermann, the actress. His father died a while ago. His family is wealthy. His brother is a consul [in Bergman's film, Dreams [1955], a wealthy  man seeking a miracle is also a consul]. His sister is married to a businessman.â/ âNo hereditary depression in his family?â/ âNot that I know of⌠â [all speaking the same language, until Katarina crashed the party]. âPeter and Katarina never consulted you?â/ âIt was never serious. Nothing Valium couldnât cureâŚâ [This interplay includes the doctorâs large collection of African sculptures, seemingly the antithesis of classical rational logic.]) Peter admits, âThere have been many long nights and too much drinking, recently. Besides, I am very aware of the fact that time is passing.â/ âFear of death?â the specialist asks. Peter very ill at ease, without mentioning his fear, claims that what precisely bothers him is that he wants to kill his wife. âIâve been carrying that idea around with me for two years.â The Valium expert, expert at circumventing death, listens to Peterâs assurances that, though both have been unfaithful, âWeâre great in bedâ [sounding like Johan and Marianne, in Scenes from a Marriage]. Then he reproves the conscientious man for asking, âI want you to tell me my hormones are responsible for my urge to kill herâŚâ/ âWhy did you come to me? You donât believe in your own agony. You donât believe in the existence of the soulâŚâ [serious matters, but bemusingly pursued]. Peter, far gone in a relapse of bourgeois snottiness, canât imagine what the family friend could be fussing about. Jensen continues, âOf course Iâm angry. Because you have so little respect for your fearâ [a paramount fear which the scientist wonât touch].  Concluding their conversation with Peterâs, âMaybe you should prescribe something for me,â the delinquent only pretends to leave the office, and, âletting himself out,â lurks in the darkened foyer, his advantageous cleverness leading him to expect the doctor to speak to Katarina. Heâs wearing a woolen scarf, woolens being a flash point of the Anna of the film, The Passion of Anna (1969), who can only tolerate a mundane life and will attack at any chance to butcher carnal unruliness. On one occasion, she expresses her dislike by butchering a herd of sheep. Just before the exit, a Peter, who could feel heâd made an ass of himself, trots out a little homage to Katarina. âIâve always loved to watch my wife, even when we hated each other. Or when she was revoltingly drunk⌠Iâve always loved the way she moves.â (Cut to her in their bathroom.) âShe watches me in the mirror. She is lost in her own thoughts and she breathes heavily. Iâm standing behind her, and Iâm holding the razor in my right hand. She watches me the whole time. And now she really sees me. An imperceptible smile hovers around her lips. Now the knife slowly moves toward her throat. I can feel her slight agitation, a slight pulse at the throatâŚâ (She smiles in seeing the now-constant clash this way.)
While standing in the dark, Peter lines up within a lamp alight on the wall and a pronounced part of that wall. Nothing happens. Katarina, rushing to what Jensen might enlighten her, stages an opening gambit far from impressive, to wit, âHave you got anything drinkable around here?â Completing the triad, the doctor proposes her coming to Tunisia with him, on business, for six weeks. She tries for the high road with, âWhy hasnât a clever man like you realized that I love Peter?â Cut to Peter, superimposed upon three windows, the depths of which might as well be in Tunisia. Giving us a sense of the priorities of that haute couture business she runs as a sidebar for Peter, Katarina exudes studious bourgeois unflappableness. The healer perseveres, âI think itâd be a lot of fun to have an affair with youâŚâ Showing more urgency than the first responder, she snipes, âI didnât come here to sleep with you, but to talk about Peter⌠Besides, I have my periodâŚâ Neither coitus in the office nor the possibility of someone getting hurt attains to seriousness. But the surroundings themselves lift this misadventure. There are two identical table lamps and one of the pedantâs wild creatures in between. Far, unfortunately, an impressive array. The lady with unstable cares pronounces, âIf Peterâs really sick, he needs me.â In that frame of melting solicitude, the caregiver declares, âI donât know, Kat⌠ My intuition wonât let go of thisâŚâ/ âI also have an intuition,â she chides. Asking her what her intuition reveals, he receives a feeble strain of one-upmanship: [My intuition discloses] âthat consciously or unconsciously youâre trying to figure out Peterâs and my relationship.â Despite this self-aggrandizement, she also reveals that the ârelationshipâ is veering out of control. It veers promptly in her ârelationshipâ of the world of classical reasoning, being so cavalierly wielded. âIâve always been afraid of youâŚâ This window of her intuitionâ curdles to the cartoonish. âPeterâs a part of me. Donât you understand that? I carry him inside of me, no matter where I go. Heâs inside me [that intuition of kinship being a vastly complex system, not amenable to whimsy].  Iâve never felt that with anyone else⌠If we had kids, itâd be different. Heâs my child, Iâm hisâŚâ (In the film, Dreams, a fashion careerist hears from a married lover of herâs that he has reached a state of affairs where he is as weak as a toy, âa worn-out teddy bear.â The connections between these two films will blossom throughout.) âNo, thatâs not true. We didnât want to be clever or mature. Thatâs why we fight and hit each other and cry. We donât want to grow up. But we share the same blood circulation. Our nerves have grown together in some strange, uncanny way. Can you understand that?â Her so seemingly passionate about their closeness of sensibility is far more hope than substance. In fact, her bidding, in painful truth, to be not of the same language as  Peter, carries a danger she underestimates. Her final words with Jensen here, therefore, measure her cowardly incompetence. âWhenever Peterâs not feeling well, the same happens to me. I want to run home to Peter and hold him and say, âNow, from now on, Iâll understand everything you say or think⌠everything you feelâŚâ I want to hold him fast until he finds me. Why the hell donât we see each other, although we live together?â
The next step involves her mother-in-law, a week after the murder, receiving a police investigator at her estate. âPeter was the child Iâd always wanted. We were so happy. He had a wonderful childhood. Maybe it was too sheltered⌠He was a fearful child. He was afraid of the dark. He always wanted the light in the hall to be left on. He was afraid of all sorts of things: dogs, horses, large birds. He was like me. I was also sensitive and somewhat sickly. He was very close to his sister⌠Theyâd play with dolls and put on puppet shows. He was a quick learner at school [not, you can bet, a quick learner at what they donât teach in school]. He always got the highest grades. When he was twenty, he met a nice girl [you can bet a patrician, like him]. They got engaged and planned to get married after finishing college. And then he met Katarina and fell madly in love with her. Katarina had a lot of control over him. She had the say. What Peterâs parents said or thought wasnât important anymore⌠I donât understand anything⌠Iâve had a good and happy life. Peter came to see me a few days ago. He had a list of things that needed to be dealt with, pertaining to his fixing up an old house for them.â (A rare lingering bit of rebellion. She noted that the roof is badly insulated. In The Passion of Anna [1969], a weak-willed man addresses his rotting roof. Disaster follows. But here, not a complete massacre occurs; therefore, weâre enmeshed into a very complex dynasty, a life of marionettes that, rarely, beats the odds.) Onscreen, many candles surround the old lady. A surfeit of candles. Three lamp lightsâtwo, rigidly, side-by-side: another, way off beam. He stands behind her, being eclipsed by his mother, with only his arms and hands seen at her head (a configuration resembling his threatening knife upon Katarina; and also resembling the precious fashion designer, in Dreams).
The episode, âFive Days before the Catastrophe,â tests the catastrophic errancy of a woman struggling to navigate a true magic which her vision fails her. The odd couple find themselves at variance, unable to sleep, and they come to the dining room table to table their agendas. He begins a cognac, while raggedly choosing to cover up with a bedsheet. Then he opines that the meal they had that night at another coupleâs place was âhorrible.â She chooses whiskey. âThat relaxes me. And itâs healthy.â He argues, âDonât drink so muchâŚâ/ âIâll drink as much as I want, my darling. I never go overboardâŚâ That goads him to remark, âYou were pretty insufferable last night.â Her rebound is, âDonât I know it⌠I was like that on purpose. Thatâs the way it is. On purpose[making sure she was at an advantage; that being the bane of any hope for that disinterestedness she needs to practice on the way to creativity]. I enjoy embarrassing Martin⌠He always tries to fondle me in secret. So I get tipsy and fondle him. Openly. Thatâs a subtle way of getting back at someone, Little Peter.â Subtle! The pressure requires real subtlety. And the pressure for us is to realize that Katarina has embarrassed herself. We wonât get much subtlety from her. But this film has challenged the viewer to provide the vast subtlety she lusts for and fumbles. He, from his sterile decorum, complains, âYouâre starting to get loud and nonsensical.â Her, âThatâs your opinion⌠Everyone else thinks Iâm terribly nice,â would be a prelude to hating herself when alone and sober. More empty loudness from her, pertains to an argument about his mother, cropping up the following day. When he reminds her that she promised to be present for a discussion of the quirky house, she sneers, âI donât have the time. Your business friends consider it an honor to eat that grub your awful old mother prepares⌠Sheâs a rotten old monument to your [deceased] fatherâs imperium of oppressionâŚâ (Though Peter laughs at that, that we  know now heâs been contemplating her murder for two years, there has to be some quiet rancor.) The tenor of their conflict reaches an unexpected turn for Katarina. âNow Iâll tell you what I actually didnât intend to tell you. No, itâs nothing special, just a feeling⌠It happened early yesterday morning. I was in the bathroom drying myself with a freshly washed, rough towel that smelled good. Suddenly, I had an insight, or what itâs called⌠I saw all these familiar things around me and knew that they soon wouldnât belong to me anymore. That everything would be taken away from me. None of these things around me would belong to me anymore⌠That feeling was gone after a minute or two, but last night it came backâŚâÂ
Peter ignores this (as he ignored, by sleeping through the prostituteâs insight, she being light years more significant than he). What he doesnât ignore, however, is the mention, by Katarina, that his friend, Harry, had set up a tennis workout early in the morning. On hearing the reminder, Peter informs her that his friendâs tennis elbow was acting up and that therefore the game was off. This brought to mind (despite her having so recently come close to cogency) a recurrent annoyance about Harryâs smoking habits, which reach 70 cigarettes a day. Her gambit of attending to some form of vitality (which does not touch her alcohol habit) becomes a case of her (ragged) concern for a peculiar sensual force. There is another Harry, the protagonist of the film, Summer with Monika, who, after disastrously attaching himself to a poisonous girl, runs her out of his life. This figure makes plenty of sense here, inasmuch that Katarina is on the hook to ditch a dead-end sensibility. That other Harry becomes adept in work and wider responsibility. But Katarinaâs wider responsibility is as hard as it gets. Next morning the rush-hour traffic powers past their flat. Two streams of vehicles, headed in opposite directions, presenting much statement but no links. There are contrasting lights in the German darkness, depending on the direction. At work Peter dictates to a secretary, âWe have two alternatives.â Not three. Later he notes, âThe problem is that a completely new point was raisedâŚâ In an ironic conclusion to this very long instance of pedantry, rounding off a punishing display of mutual disarray, we have Katarina rehearsing the models for her imminent fashion show. The effete impact being a paragon of how not to deliver well.
Our major protagonist makes good on her threat to be missing in action at Mamaâs soiree. At a bar (where she drinks heavily and shoos Peter along to thrill to something she too should care about), one of her colleagues, the major designer of her concern, spirits her away to his art deco gem of a flat (showing two diamond-shaped lamps vertically positioned in the dazzling darkness along with one rounded lamp too far-off be a player), for the sake of lifting her spirits, and becoming, as far as his lights allow, a genuine friend. Tim, the first responder, had mooted, âI have a wonderful idea. Come to my place for a few hours. You can take a nice long bath. Iâll make us a salad.â In face of this handsome proposal, she corrosively claims, âIâm fine where I am.â In standing up she collapses upon his chest. âI feel so bad.â/ âI suddenly had the feeling that you were terribly unhappy,â he perseveres. (She covers one eye with her hand.) Once to Timâs tidy home, he shifts the subject to that Martin she felt she had to outsmart with âsubtlety.â âWe were very attached to each other. But as you know, fidelity doesnât exist. Not true fidelity.â (Tim is shown by a full-length mirror. A twosome.) âWhen youâre gay, you canât be faithful.â Pulling himself back to the subject of conviviality, Tim states, âYou have to cry if you feel like it.â Then back to political advantage: âMost gay men like women. Not because weâre particularly feminine, but because weâre more in touch with our feelings. I didnât come up with that. Martin said that. But it could be true.â (One light is on behind her.)Â
Tim emotes, âSplits! Itâs immeasurable grief⌠Maybe it isnât grief at all, but some sort of madness.â (She in the way of a lamp with two lights.) She contributes, not entirely candid, âPeople like me have never given the soul much thought. Then the soul starts acting up, and youâre helpless. You know?â Tim says, âI understand.â She continues, âPerhaps a few tears are shed at first. A strange kind of crying which then turns into a terrible howl of grief and hopelessness. Then it turns into a blind roar⌠a roar⌠a roarâŚâ (Cut to Tim, nonplussed. Is Katarina caught up in Timâs sentimental menu?) The designer avers, âEverybody breaks down once in a while⌠Iâm pathologically addicted to intimacy!â (Two diamond lights between them.) Then Tim speaks at length about about the horror of getting old.âTwo incompatible people⌠Sometimes I think they all stem from one and the same origin.â  He concludes this rampage of intimacy by asking Katarina to lay her hand against his cheek. She does. But when he asksââCan you feel that my hand is me? That itâs me?ââshe shakes her head. (Katarina joining a host of dullards ignoring whatâs up. Can she rally? Thatâs the heart of the saga.)
Three days after the murder, Tim, the apostle of intimacy, is summoned by the police due to his being instrumental in Peterâs meeting the victim. After a lot of flim-flam at the expense of a one-track-minded functionary, he declaresâwhat happened to intimacy and more in touch with our feelings?â âI  liked the idea that Peter was cheating on her with a prostitute. But thatâs only part of the truth. Weak people choose strange paths. I gradually focused on taking Peter from his wife and making him mine. I saw the coldness in his marriage⌠I knew  I could save him⌠People like me have a feeling for such things.â
A somewhat less predatory scene pertains to a letter from Peter to Mogens, which never becomes sent. It functions as a glimpse of the influence of Katarina. And it confirms that that toss away platitude, âWeak people choose strange paths,â is studded with deadly practices. Peter premises is cri de coeur, by declaring (Tim-like), âWhat Iâm going to describe isnât a dream in the usual sense.â (Itâs, in fact, more a dream like the fervid dreams of the film, Dreams.) âAlthough I experienced this under the influence of pills and alcohol, the experience seemed more real and horrible than the reality of  everyday life.â Cloaked in a calming fog, there were him and Katarina seen in bed from the vantage point of the ceiling. The documentor struggles to describe the fabric of this action: more than âsensual;â not only âerotic;â âa direct link between my lower body and the intense, sweet-smelling moisture of a woman.â (Katarinaâs hair tumbling as she sleeps.) Then a moment showing them nude from a long distance, with over-exposed visuality, insinuating a snowscape. In the vein of âmore in touch with our feelings,â Peter gushes, âI moved over a glittering, spacious surface with my eyes closed. And all was very quiet. My contentment was complete. I had a strange urge to tell a funny story.â (Can Katarinaâs heights get past the funny story stage?) âThere was a little eye on every finger.â (In Dreams, one eye upon a raincoat suffices; here the push to be âbigâ collapses the traces of remarkable initiative.) He moves to touch one of her nipples. Then he rattles off a formula, where only the deftness of motion can prevail: âIf you are death, then I welcome you, dear death. If you are life, then I welcome you, dear life.â Amidst such sophomoric efforts, he does break from tradition to realize, âthat it was dangerous to become afraid.â Back to his cruising speed, he imagines consistently to be unable to penetrate her. âI fell into a rage. I withdrew to stop myself from killing her.â Her vigorous countering of his aggressiveness, leaving him holding his head, produces a long glare of intransigence between them. This is followed by her gently soothing his wounds. âIt is difficult to describe that particular moment. The very air I was in was transformed⌠We entered a sudden spirituality without reservations.â That her range puts his to shame culminates in his fantasy of having killed her âin some cruel way.â The missal describing a weakling. No wonder it was never sent.
The episode, âTwo Days before the Catastrophe,â brings the letter to solid action. It begins with Katarina frantically trying to reach Professor Jensen, because Peter is up on their roof contemplating jumping to his death. True to form, the psychiatric flop is not available. Her backup choice is one of his cronies, namely, Arthur, a name (in the form of King Arthur) redolent of maintaining good breeding. (In The Passion of Anna, a weak-willed artisan on a broken roof ends up like a figure in the works of Samuel Beckett. From here on in, itâs about whether Katarina can fare better than that.) Arthur tries to rally the on-again but largely off-again rebel with, âItâs respectable to want to jump, but inhuman to torment oneâs fellow man.â He adds, âSomeone will see you and alert the police⌠Canât I at least get your fur coat?â/ âThat would be nice of you,â the not quite desperate enough malcontent replies. (Weak people choose strange paths.) Heâs back before Arthur can carry the furs. Katarina attempts to calm the country club regular, but at this stage he shows no interest in their constellation. She drops that hot potato and hopes to find more success with the paragon of easy chivalry. âPoor Martha (Arthurâs wife), weâve disturbed her.â/ âNot at all,â he tells her. âShe had an early operation at the childrenâs clinic.â In the Swedish Bergman film, Dreams, a woman, named Marta, uses a trump card of children to fend off the protagonist fashion entrepreneur, Susanne, intent  on a weak paramour. Marta is a pretty smart cookie, but not as bright and brave as she thinks. On the subject of hard knocks, Peter, attempting to look somewhat less weak, kicks Katarina backwards from her position of sitting on the carpet by the chair he occupied after doing without his furs. Arthur does nothing noble here. âCome sit with me,â is his policy of law and order. An embarrassed lady of the house chirps, âIâm fine on the floorâŚâ Then both of them begin to glare at each other. She plunges on with, âWe had a drink with Johan and Marianne. Then we all went out to that new Italian restaurant near the theatre.â (She drinks. Arthur smokes. Far less overt is her uphill climb to bring her seldom uncanniness to a full fruition and a hope for beating back a horde of cowards, along lines of surpassing those who kick, while keeping in play those who meant something, being held in reserve.) Arthur asks her, âWhatâs that on your neck?â This brings instant communication from Peter, âHer necklace broke⌠I got caught in it, and then it broke.â (Peter got caught in Katarinaâs audacity. And then it broke.) Arthur remarks, âMake sure it doesnât get infected.â Peter the Weak blurts out, âOh, Katarina says she wants to leave me.  I say great. What a godsend. Then she says she canât live without me. I say I can live better without her. She says Iâm importantâŚâ (Katarina lies back on the floor.) As the transaction spins crazily, Katarina loses her temper, as she has done may times. But, while she has an end-game, he has nothing.
During the rest of the humiliation from out of that overt consideration of suicide, the conflict and its results do nothing but confirm that their life together is no more. She snipes, âShut up, Peter, youâve had your performance.â But now Peterâterrified in face of his wifeâs reckless and valid cares (and occupying  the model of that Anna, the little pedant and coward, emerging from the film, The Passion of Anna)âopts for an eleventh hour return to full bourgeois appetites, including a final âperformanceâ to recompense his treason against his clan. How far apart are they? One indicator says a lot, though no one notices. As Katarina lies back on the carpet, pondering her future as a solo act, we see her from upside down and particularly the collar of her shirt. Two button holes and a button: the two of them no longer in business, but, for her, filling little needs could go far. That she is far from steady enough to see her way through this snake pit may be transparent in the following communication later in the conversation. âPoor Peter, I feel so damn sorry for you.â (That is precisely what the protagonist, Susanne, in Dreams, has to endure, from a prim, nihilist Marta, who believes that no couples ever become magic. That, in the cyclone going on at this point, Katarina becomes a stiff, is food for thought. She set this doomed, underground adventure by way of a degree in charisma. Weâd like to discover if she can reinvent (and then some) a new and wider fruition. Out of the pointlessness of tons of clashing verbiage, there is one kernel of might from her: âWe accepted the rules  [of skepticism] but had no knack for the game [the play and its good-naturedness].â
In the episode, âThree Weeks after the Catastrophe,â we find some signs that Katarina is beginning to find a knack. Paying a visit to her grieving mother-in-law, our protagonist counsels lightening up, going on a visit to Paris where the grieving one has a sister. As to being possibly needed by the butcher now ensconced in an institution for the hopeless, the daughter-in-law relates, âI went to see him yesterday. He didnât seem to be all there⌠ Heâs getting injections to stave off distress.â So prostrated is the mother with the shock, Katarina (surely feeling some irony, which now, though, for her, might have an impact for some good, for some people) suggests Professor Jensen to lighten her load. The offer is accepted. Despite Katarinaâs history of hating that lady, she now declares, âI can come to see you every dayâŚâ This gambit is promptly shot down by the hostâs digging into their troubled relationship. âYou think itâs all my faultâŚâ (But Katarina has begun to leave such sterile warfare, while needing to stand up to a history of panzer violence.) The mistress of the mansion argues, âYouâve always been very critical of Peterâs and my relationship.â Having to retort, âYou were critical of our marriage,â would simply not be what was on her mind. A better manoeuver, though, wouldâin face of the woman with no future (like her son), dictating, âI gave birth to him and raised him. Heâs a part of my life. You donât have any children. You donât understand a motherâs feelingsâŚâââYouâre right. I donât understand.â Pleased to feel on top, the maternal one speaks through a dynasty. âI didnât want to hurt you.â The guest in the leopard-skin coat, assures the old lady, âYou didnât hurt me.â Pouring on that favorite insult by those smelling a kill, âI feel so sorry for you,â is met by Katarinaâs, âI donât believe that⌠Iâve been here for half an hour. All youâve talk about is your feelingsâŚâPerhaps her parting words forever (but not necessarily), the solo pours out her heart to someone who wouldnât give a shit. âFull of astonishment, I look back on our lives⌠on our former reality, and think, âWas it all a dream?â It was a game. Lord knows what the hell we were doing. This is true reality, and its unbearable.â(It could be that being in the presence of Peterâs mother has somewhat rattled the soloist.) True reality is not unbearable to the strong, and Katarina knows it. She also knows that being a soloist is madness. Her being felt on the spot to match the matronâs emotions swings her into a line sheâd find ludicrous when composed. âA strange, hard surface. But under the surface Iâm crying. Iâm crying for myself because I can no longer be the way I was⌠I cry for Peter. Iâve never been able to put myself in other peopleâs shoes⌠But suddenly I think I know what Peter is feeling and thinkingâŚ.â And even in such a maudlin funk, her better self returns. âBut the [exponentially] worst part of it is⌠that poor woman. I tell myself she was only frightened for a moment⌠That doesnât help.â Just before Peter presumes to make his piddling statement for the sake of the âbetters,â he learns that the woman knowing catkins is also a Katarina. The guest that day to the mother-in-law was very significantly on a track to touch those worth touching. To more fully disclose Katarinaâs distinction in leaving that fortress of enmity, we look back to Peterâs doggerel where his wife (the only thinker that long family tree had ever enclosed) had had her creative heartiness cribbed and twisted into a cheap stunt. âThere was a little eye on every finger.â What had the unsteady thinker wasted, on a worthless associate, was her hard won realization that her gentle and powerful proof against inertia  not only opens and drives the fireworks of the cosmos itself, but being gifted by a vast menu of carnal initiatives, by way of which to be truly blessed, truly loved. (The outset of the film, Dreams, with its producing a large set of red lips, like those of Katarinaâs, also traces a word for the wise: âOne has to say no at some point.â)
An Epilogue showing Peterâs cell returns coloration. It has nothing to do with him (the exponent of, âno way outâ and solitary chess, recalling the cowardly patrician in The Seventh Seal), but that Katarina is in the building, perhaps for the last time.
As this saga has unfolded, weâve come to a unique need to add to Katarinaâs struggle. Bergmanâs exceptional skill about problematic drama eschews attending to further steps along this endeavor. The hundreds of montages accompanying the narratives were not only about the âmoodâ of the stories, but the actions of the viewers. The placements about the mundane, the ecstatic and their harmonics are not precious museum-pieces; but a way of life hugely dissimilar from the dynasties which have commanded fealty for, in one case 4000 years, and, in another, 2500 years. That they are massively wanting is one thing. That their homicidal proclivities exude a pall upon the land may be well seen by the formerâs incompetence and arrogance to the point of a world-wide collapse, without so much as an apology. That is the reality which Katarina and we must deal with at a level of difficulty so extreme as to seem, âno way out.â But along with the Byzantine history, there is a stunningly underused resource to foster a âknackâ in return. The likes of Katarina, who finds snippets of magical dynamics setting her apart, can, if alert enough, become buoyed by an agency recommending action for the sake of interplays that have no end of joys, but very much end of sentient life. This planet of toxic dynasties, so effective in paralyzing the full range of creativity (delivering a world of marionettes), is far from the only place graced with a creative knack.

Angel!Reader x Sans
(Spoiler! Ending has been written!) For @alextris - and their much appreciated patience
All your life you were used to the stares and whispers from other people. Â In a group setting, it was always you who stuck out like a sore thumb. Â You could never fit in. Â But you were used to that, used to being unique and special. It was in genes to standout, be different. Â Your mother never said who your father was, nor did you ask. Â He was the one person who was never in your life. Â And, even at a very young age, you were grateful for not having one extra person in your life. Â You had more than enough attention to last a lifetime. Â Even before you were born, doctors and scientists had followed you and your mother around, watching the both of you carefully, eyeing the tests and images with a critical eye. Â âThere had to be a mistake,â they would say. Â âIt just isnât possible for this. Â Perhaps the CT Scanner was acting up, maybe the X-Ray Machine had encountered some interference.â Â Test after test was done with the same result. Â Specialist after specialist. Â Hospital after hospital, clinic after clinic. Â Doctor after doctor. Â There was always something prodding, something watching, something, or someone, there. Â There were whispers and hushed tones, the nods and gestures.
Like you said, you were used to them by now. Â You knew that you would never fit in, never pass for a human.
Your wings made sure of that.
Yes, wings. Wings like the wings of birds, coated in the softest of feathers. Â Feathers pure white, whiter than freshly fallen snow.
They sprouted from the back of your shoulders, connected to your shoulder blades by tendons and muscles. Â You could move them, rustle them, extend them, even on the rare occasions fly with them. Move them like they were natural. Like they were supposed to be on the back of any human.
On first glance, people had often mistaken you for an angel. Â A fair maiden with wings, one who was supposed to bring good luck and peace. One who was in Godâs good graces, all innocent and pure. Â Not that you could blame them. Â All things considered, you did resemble the fair guardians and messengers of God, of the bible.
When you were out with your boyfriend, the whispers and stares would multiply. Â People openly staring at the sight before the two of you, manners forgotten. Â You and your boyfriend paid them no mind though. Â He too was as unique as you.
Picture this, a beautiful angel, one with wings as white as snow, holding hands with a skeleton.
It was something that the townspeople had never imagined, never before fathomed. Â But the two of you were used to stares. Â You let them stare at you while the two of you enjoyed your own little world.
A gorgeous, innocent and pure angel, holding hands with a skeleton⌠it was completely absurd.
Especially since Sans knew that it couldnât be further from the truth.
* * * * *
You could still remember the first time that you and your skeleton boyfriend met. Â It had been a clear, warm night, the skies alive with the twinkling of stars. Â It was one of the nights that you couldnât sleep. Â Your wings had the tendency to follow the same cycle as birds and, every so often, you would go through a molt. Â The old and worn feathers would slowly shed, making way for the new feathers underneath the old. Â During this time your wings would be itchy and uncomfortable, driving you insane as the new feathers slowly pushed through and firmed. Sometimes you were lucky enough to be able to ignore it, but this night was one of those nights where sleep would be impossible.
Your wings would itch and tingle just as you would start to drift off. Â You tossed and turned but, no matter what position you attempted, you could feel the prickle of feathers. Â No position gave you the relief that you sought. Â You had tried to distract yourself with your favourite scandalous, romantic novel, but even that had backfired. Â There was a tingling between your thighs. Â You groaned as your hand traveled under your covers, rubbing at your labia. Â Your teasing touches helped to alleviate the need in your loins, but nothing to help the itch in your wings.
Giving up on sleep, you silently opened your window, looking up at the stars. Â You couldnât remember the last time that you had seen so many on such a clear night. Â The air was warm and crisp, spring slowly maturing to summer. Â The skies were completely clear and moon shining bright like a beacon. Â Almost calling you to them.
It would be the perfect night for stargazing.
Silently, mindful of your mother and her boyfriend sleeping in the next room over, you spread your wings, letting the breeze ruffle your feathers. Â Already you could tell that you had made the right decision. Â The wind blowing throw the old and new feathers, whispering against the skin under them, felt amazing. Â Carefully, quietly, you gave a deep downward stroke, effortlessly soaring into the open sky. Â
It wasnât very often that you chose to fly on your own. Â Usually you preferred the more conservative methods of travel, walking, or driving. Â Using your wings made you tired, like you were drawing on more than your normal muscles and energy to move. Â But when you did choose to fly, it was worth it. Â Your wings made you feel weightless and free, like nothing could touch you. That the world and its problems were far, far away.
Another advantage to your wings is that you were able to get to any place you wanted faster. Within minutes you were gracefully landing on a hill in your favourite clearing. Â You could already feel the slight effects of your flight, a slight stiffening in your shoulders and back, but it was worth it. Â Already you felt freer here than you had at the stuffy house. Â The air was clean, unpolluted by the nearby city, even scented with the faint smell of wildflowers. Â You settled on the hill as you prepared for a long night of starwatching. Â The familiar constellations were high and bright in the sky, their legends tickling your ears. Â
There was a delicate cough from behind you.  âYou know⌠I was⌠I was trying to think of a good opening line, but then I decided that I would just wing it.â
Despite the corniness of the joke, you snorted, smiling as you turned around to see the visitor.
A small, slightly stocky, skeleton stood behind you, hands shoved into the pockets of a blue hoodie. You remembered seeing him around town, usually accompanied by another taller skeleton in tiny shorts, or a motherly looking goat woman. Â You had spoken before, several times in fact. Â Always quick with a pun or joke, yet he seemed to be more intelligent than he let on.
âThat was good,â you told him as he settled close by you. Â Not close enough to touch, but far enough to not be rude. Â You eyed him carefully. Â Despite the low temperature he seemed to be sweating in his hoodie. His cheeks were flushed and he was antsy, shifting from one side to another. Â If you didnât know any better, it would seem like he was coming down off of a drug trip or similar.
He gave a small bark of a laugh. Â âAlways good to have an audience that appreciates my jokes. Â Some of them fly over peopleâs heads.â He gave another wink causing you to laugh and shake your head. Â âIâm Sans,â he introduced himself. Â âSans the skeleton.â
âItâs nice to meet you Sans. IâmâŚâ you took his hand and shook it, pausing when you felt the heat radiating off of him.  âAre you ok? It seems like you have quite the fever.â
He hastily shoved his hand back in his pocket. Â âIâm fine.â he hastily assured you. Â âJust something that all us monsters go through every once in a while.â
âIâm not following.â
The skeleton twitched in his seat, his eye lights not looking at you.  âWell⌠I suppose us monsters are a lot like animals.  Every so often we go through a heat period andâŚâ he clamped his jaw shut.  âIâm not sure why I am telling you this.â
The skeleton looked like he was in pain almost. Â âPerhaps because I look like an angel? Â One that is supposed to be able to solve everyoneâs problems?â
Sans smiled at that. âIf thatâs the case then Iâm nothing but a fat, fluffy chicken.â He said to your amusement.
You were smiling more here than you had in days you realized. Â âSo, what normally cures your heat session?â you asked him. âWater? Â Some food? Â The stars?â
âWas hoping that the stars would provide me a distraction at least,â he admitted, looking up to the heavens. Â The little pinpricks of his eyes were tracing imaginary lines of the stars, following the shape of the constellations above.
You smiled at him before looking up at the stars as well. Â âNot answering the question.â You noted.
His cheek bones and skull were turning bright blue. Â He muttered something, not facing you.
âWhat?â
âItâs⌠itâs like with animals.  It wears off on its own.â
âI doubt that is what you tried to say the first time.â Â You countered back.
The eye lights faded away completely.  You had the feeling that you had him backed into the corner.  His voice was quiet, sounding like he was being choked with his own words.  âUsually a good fucking or masturbation helps kill it faster.  ButâŚâ
Curious now, you looked at him, gently touching his arm. Â âBut?â you prodded.
âBut I canât get off on my own this time.â he finally admitted to you. Â âI try and try but nothing. Â Feels like Iâve been edging myself all night. Â Hurts like hell now. Â So thought I would come up here, see the stars, maybe some stargazing will help cool me off. Â But even that has run afowl.â He admitted, winking at you before looking back at the stars.
Giving a quick laugh at his pun, you looked at him with a curved smile. Â âI like you. Â Youâre something else, Sans. Â Refreshing.â You knew that you were nowhere as innocent as you portrayed. Â The lingering feel of your own need still haunted you, echoing with his own. Â And he was a very interesting man, or monster.
Sans had made some sort of disagreeing sound at your comment. Â âIf you think Iâm neat, you should meet my brother, Papyrus. Â Now he is the coolest skeleton that you would ever meat.â
His words rolled off you like water. Â The more he sat beside you, the more aware you were of his scent. Â It was unlike any other cologne that you had smelt before. It was sweet yet spicy and warm, the smell of cloves mixed with apples and roses.
And it was affecting you in other areas as well.
You wanted to melt into the scent, have it sing through your body. Run your hands up and down his body, feeling the curves of his bones, or if perhaps magic had formed some sort of invisible, fake body. Â Rubbing your thighs together, you considered your options. Â You could leave Sans to his own devices and fly home, alone, letting yourself be cooped up until the sun rose. Â Or you could help him.
Looking him over again, you could see that his sweat was the same colour of his hoodie. Perhaps it was an intentional fashion choice on his part? Â Or was it perhaps pure coincidence? Â Not to mention the generous bulge in his shorts that was a faint blue as well.
You were curious about this skeleton man, you had to admit. Â Very curious. Â There was just something about him that drew you to him. Â You wanted to find out more about him and his bones. Besides you had your own needs to attend to. Â The two of you could help one another perhaps. Â How long it had been since you had released some much needed tension? Â No answer came. Â âDid you hear the joke about the egg that got laid?â you asked him as you moved closer to him.
His eye lights flickered to you. Â âNo?â he asked.
âWell then, I guess we should get cracking.â You winked at him, pulling him in for a deep, demanding kiss.
The skeleton made an odd noise â something mixed between a groan and a squeal. Â It sounded like the skeleton was fighting with himself. Â Like Sans was trying hard not to give in to his own desires. Â However, in the end, his arousal won out. Â His hands wrapped around your waist, pulling you even closer to him. You could feel his skeleton fingers digging into your flesh before they dipped under the hem of your shirt. Â The bones were surprisingly warm like those made of flesh. Â They slowly travelled up your back, feeling the curve of your spine, the warmth of your flesh.
You pressed closer to him, your own hands finding the zipper on his jacket and pulling it open. The skeleton had nothing on underneath. No shirt, not even an undershirt. The bones of his rib cage were glowing a bright blue, little droplets of sweat slowly beading on them, tracing the curves of his bones. Â Fascinated, you drew back away from the kiss, running your hands on the strong curves of the ribs. Â They even felt like real bones. Â Sturdy and strong, they even had the markings of the thin grow patterns that natural bone developed. There was a large scar across Sansâ sternum that drew your attention. That was definitely not caused by the growth of the bones. Â It was strangely unnatural, even for a monster. Â The rest of his bones were white, glowing with a soft blue light, the same colour that matched his eyes. Â But the mark on his sternum was dark, glowing like the dying embers of a fire. Captivated, you placed a gentle hand on it.
Sans gave a guttural sounding groan before gripping your wrist tightly.  âCareful,â he told you, âmy bones and⌠well that⌠they are a little sensitive.â
âIâll be gentle,â you assured him, not daring to move your hand until he released it. Â Giving you the go ahead. Â Carefully you felt along the scar, moving slowly and gently. The wound itself was deep and jagged. Whatever had caused this wound was not natural. Â Yet, despite its violent appearance, it seemed like it was pleasurable for him when you touched it. Â His bones shivered under your touch, his eyes half lidded. Â You had somehow moved into his lap without noticing, pressing ever closer to him.
His own hands were wandering over you. Â No curve was left untouched, not one freckle left unnoticed, not one dimple undiscovered. It was like he was slowly mapping out your body. Â Getting to know it and you. Â His hands found your breasts and gently squeezed them, feeling their weight. Â His fingers sought out your nipples and slowly thumbed them, feeling them harden under his ministrations. âHow was I so lucky to run into you in the park?â he whispered, drawing your shirt over your head. The fabric momentarily caught on your wings but he gently pulled it free. Â Exposing your breasts to him.
You giggled softly to yourself at his words. Â âThe stars align every so often.â You told him simply. Â Sitting up, you slowly slid your pants over your hips, wiggling them as the fabric moved over them. Â Putting on a show for him. Â Feeling brave, you seized one of his hands and led it to your folds. Â âDid you ever imagine that you would finger an angel?â
His boney fingers were gentle (and warm thankfully) as they collected your fluid on them. Â Sans was silent for a moment as he seemed to weigh your words. Â There was a low chuckle as the skeleton looked up, a grin on his teeth. âProbably as much as you ever imagined getting boned by a skeleton.â He told you, carefully slipping a single phalange into your core. Â Your slick acted as lube, allowing his finger to slide into you without resistance.
Biting back a groan, you rocked your hips, encouraging him deeper. Â Sans pumped the single finger, feeling how your channel clenched tight around it and, when you loosened, he pushed in a second. Â And then a third. Â Stretching you out, slowly, carefully, even as his thumb brushed against your clit. Â The combination felt like nothing that you had ever done to yourself, or any of your other partners had done to you. Â It felt, as clique as it was, it felt different. Â A different right. Â Perfect. It made you whither in pleasure, gripping tight to his jacket to stabilize yourself. Â Panting, you kissed him again, making him swallow your noises of pleasure. Â Your wings slowly unfurled and wrapped around the two of you.
The skeleton broke the kiss, leaning back to take all of you in. Â His free hand reached up, following the curves of your wing, delicately stroking the feathers as he explored it. It caused another shiver to rock through your body. Â You hadnât known that your wings could be so sensitive as well. Â âBy the stars, you are beautiful.â He whispered as his attention again returned to you.
You blushed at his words. Â They sounded so sincere, so full of admiration. Â âYou have a way with that tongue of yours,â you said to him.
âI can do even more with it.â he quickly retorted. Â âWanna see?â There was a dim glow of magic in his jaw, a long tongue licking at his teeth. Â The blue was the same colour as his eye lights you noticed. Â âIâd be more than happy to give you a sneak peek on just what else it can do.â Â He was a cocky son of a bitch but you couldnât help yourself. Â You had to admit that you were entranced by him. Â All of him. Â Body, tongue, words and spirit. Â That didnât kill the need that you were feeling deep inside of you. Just by the mere sight of his tongue. You couldnât move your eyes from the glowing appendage. Â Slowly you nodded, completely memorized. Â Seizing you about the waist he gently pushed you to the ground, making sure that your wings were fine, before seizing your thighs and pulling them around his neck.
His tongue was warm and wet, much like a normal humanâs, you noted to yourself as he licked up your folds. Â After that, the comparisons ended. Â His tongue was narrower at the tip, letting him dive into your core easily, flicking deep inside of you, reaching places that you didnât even know of. Your nerves were tingling, drowning in extreme pleasure. Â His hands held you tight, keeping you open and spread for his enjoyment. By the stars above, you didnât know how badly you had needed this. Â Your hands seized his skull, holding him to your core, but there was no need. Â Sans was not leaving his spot. Â He was like a dog with a bone. Â He lapped at your juices, pressing the tongue deep inside of you, before twisting it. Letting it trace all the ridges inside of you.
You screamed as his tongue found that one spot deep inside of you that made you see stars. He paused for a moment, making sure that you were alright before giving a smirk and continuing. Â This time with more gusto.
âSans!â you cried out, your nails digging into his skull. Â Your legs trembled around his neck, tightening around him. Â Your back arched, wings fluttered, but he kept going.
âIâve always wanted to taste an angelâs juices,â Sans growled against you. Â His tongue deep inside of you, attacking that same spot inside of you, the one that made you see stars, a thumb beginning to rub your sensitive clit in time with his tongue.
With that added stimulation, it didnât take much to push you over the edge. Â You gave another scream, your pussy clenching tight around his tongue. Â To your embarrassment, you felt yourself squirt, making an even bigger mess than before.
Sans didnât mind at all. Â His tongue withdrew from your hole, slowly lapping over your folds, cleaning you off.
Savouring every drop.
âThat was perfect, my angel,â he told you, lifting his skull from your thighs. Â You could see that there was still some of your cream on his teeth. Â It wouldnât remain there for long. Â As you watched he slowly licked them clean, winking at you. Â âI rather enjoyed your sounds and taste. Â Perhaps I should call you my chicken instead, because you are-â
âIf you say I am finger-licking good, I will kick you in the skull and go home.â You warned him, your own face glowing bright red.
He gave another low, seductive chuckle, removing your legs from his shoulders and wrapping them around his waist instead. Â âIâm sorry, angel. Â I wonât say it.â he promised you. Â He slowly kissed up your body, his eyes on you. Â He gave a gentle nip to your neck, growling softly. Â The heat had decreased slightly, you noticed, but he was still hot. âYou are perfect,â he breathed to your ear. Â âAbsolutely perfect. Delicious and gorgeous and completely perfect.â
âYouâre just saying that to get into my pants,â you replied to him, your breath catching in your throat nonetheless. Â The skeleton had a skilled tongue â in more than one way.
Sans gave an amused chuckle into your neck. Â He was doing his best to desperately kiss and nip all the skin that he could. Â âWell considering that your pants are off already, I would say that Iâm halfway there, my angel.â Â His teeth just sank into your flesh, bruising and marking it. Marking you as his.
His angel.
And somehow those words just felt right.
You could feel that there was something brushing against your lips.  Something long and thick and very, very hard.  Slowly moving through your folds, gathering your moisture on it.  Looking down, you gulped.  Gone was the question on how skeletons mated. âHoly shitâŚ.â you murmured, looking down.  Sansâ cock was the same shade of blue as his tongue, though you supposed that you should have suspected that.  It was lined with small barbs, much like your favourite dildo back at the house.
He groaned as he humped through your folds, teasing your clit with it.  âWhat⌠ha⌠what do you think, my angel?  Do you think that it would please you?â he asked you. There was a small whine to his voice as he asked you, his need finally beginning to seep through.
âI think it would,â you panted back, hands gripping tight to his shoulder blades, your legs wrapping around his pelvis tighter. Â You pulled him in for a deep, needy kiss, taking the time to really taste him. Â He still tasted faintly of you and your juices, but there was an underlying current of something else. Â Something almost sweet and ketchup-y? How odd. Â You decided that you would ask him about that later. Â For now, your mind was dominated by other thoughts as he pressed you into the ground. Â And his body obviously desired yours. Â His cock was pressing against your thigh, warm and thick and willing. Â But still, he hesitated, not pushing into you. Perhaps he was having second thoughts. âWhy are you holding back?â
Sans paused, looking over you.  âYour wings⌠would they be ok like this?  Bird wings are so fragile.  I wonât hurt them will I?â
It took a second before you understood. Â Here you were, pinned to the ground, wings in the dirt and mud. âThey will be fine,â you assured him, touching his cheek. Â He was still so hot to the touch. Â âThey are much more durable than a normal birdâs wing. Â They arenât hair though, so donât pull on them. I admit that I do like kinky things, some kinky things, but I cannot have you pulling on my wings.â
Understanding, Sans nodded in agreement, pressing tight to you in a deep kiss. Â âNo pulling on those beautiful wings, my angel,â he promised you.
Perhaps at any other time you would have been touched that he was so careful, so concerned. But his heat was beginning to affect you too. Â Making you needy and wet and wanting, inpatient for him to begin.
âCome now, Sans. Itâs time for you to worship your angel.â
The skeleton groaned loudly, recapturing your mouth with his, kissing you silent as he began to push deep inside of you. Â As he stretched you out you were grateful that he took the time to prepare you for him. He was so thick, it felt like he was stretching you to your absolute limits. Â And still he continued to push in. It burned slightly but it was nothing that you couldnât handle.
You truly were a needy angel.
When at last it seemed like you couldnât take another inch of him, that he had filled you completely and fully, at last he paused. Â You took a shuddering breath, feeling your body adjust to his girth and his length. Â He completely filled you.
At least you were having the same affect on him.  Sans groaned, resting his skull in between your neck and shoulder, shuddering so hard that you could hear the rattle of his bones.  âStars,â he croaked.  âIâm sorry babe.  I⌠youâre so wet and slick.  So perfect. Almost like you were made just for me. I just pressed myself inside of you and I almost came.â He groaned again, giving your neck a gentle bite.  There was barely any pressure to his bite, his teeth just pressing to your skin. His hands settled to your sides, fully pinning you underneath him, but careful not to pull or press on your feathers. Still he stilled.
âWhat are you waiting for?â you asked him, feeling desperate. Â You tightened your thighs around him, encouraging him. Â âCome on and start moving already. Â I need you too. Â I need thisâ
This was all the invitation that Sans needed. Â With a small groan, he began to move. Â Pressing in and pulling out, slowly, carefully. Â Slowly at first, allowing himself to adjust to you and your tight channel. He stretched you out in the most delicious of ways, his thick head rubbing against the walls of your slick pussy. Â Your walls clenched desperately around him, seeking to pull him in deeper. He seemed to be under the same spell as you. Â Pressing in as deep as he could and loathing to pull away.
But by God, those barbs of his! Â They werenât hard as you had originally thought, but soft and fleshy, moving with the curves and tightness of your body. Â They didnât hurt when they pressed in. Rather the opposite. Â They added an added stimulation that had been missing from your life. Â They rubbed against nerves that you didnât know existed, playing with them and encouraging them to sing in ecstasy. Â You kissed his neck, tasting his vertebrae. Â Even his sweat didnât taste like normal salty sweat. There was a sweetness to it, and a sensation that made your tongue tingle. Â Sex with normal guys was officially ruined, you quickly realized. You could never go back to it. You would be always looking for more.
âGod youâre perfect,â he whispered to your ear.  âYour pussy is swallowing me whole, taking my cock so well.  And I slide like butter!  My heat must be working on you too. How⌠how odd⌠How did I get so lucky to come across you tonight?  I⌠So lucky⌠You drive me crazyâŚ. Y-your voice, your body, hell, even⌠even your wings. Everything about you is beautiful and perfect.â  His voice was thick and husky, whispering to your ears.  Groaning, you encouraged him on.  Slipping your hands around him, you pressed yourself closer to him.
Encouraged by your movements, he rocked his hips into you, harder, faster. Sinking deep into you. His mouth buried into your neck, groaning and kissing. Â You could hear the deep wet sounds that your body made as he moved.
 * * * * *
âErm. Babe? Â You still there? Â Your mind is flying away from me.â Sansâ deep voice whispered to you as he interlocked his fingers with yours. Â Blinking, you woke from your thoughts, turning to look at him. Â His skull was tilted quizzically at you, his eye lights open and calm. Â Oh right. You were settled beside him in one of the nearby diners that populated your small town. Papyrus and Undyne were seated across from the two of you, the both of them talking about some anime or the like that they had been watching together. Â Probably trying to incorporate the fighting styles or signature moves of the characters to their impressive battle feats. âCome on, babe. Â Iâm beginning to feel a little bonely without you.â
You gave a little giggle, ignoring how Papyrus groaned at your âencouragementâ of your boyfriendâs puns. Â He chose not to say anything more though. Â Sans had changed a lot from the sweaty, awkward skeleton he was when you first met. Â Although not as confident as the other two, he could hold his own conversation with other humans without breaking into an uncomfortable pun-fest.
âWhat were you thinking about?â Sans asked you quietly when Papyrus and Undyne returned to their anime conversation.  His eye lights were soft when they looked at you, warm and full of love? Appreciation?  SomethingâŚ
âI was thinking about the first time we officially met.â You told him truthfully.  âHow the stars in the sky twinkled down at us, how the wind felt blowing through my wingsâŚâ
Sans snorted at that, shaking his head as if in disbelief. Â âIf you were only thinking about the first time then I better up my game. Canât have you getting bored of me. Have to make sure that our other times are just as memorable.â
Squeezing his hand, you kissed his cheek gently, enjoying the way that his cheeks still flushed with that slight blue as you did. Â Knowing how much he liked to be held and hold you, you extended your wings around him, embracing him in them, muffling the outside noises. Â It was like the two of you were in your own world. Â âI could never be bored of you. Â Because, tibia honest my love, my mind is never far from you.â
âNow youâre just ribbing meâŚâ
âHey now. An angel can never lie.  I was just thinking of that first night.  The two of us on the hill⌠how you said that I was finger-licking good.â
There was a loud groan from the opposite side of the table.  âHUMAN⌠I HAD HOPED THAT I WOULD NEVER HEAR SUCH INFORMATION REGARDING THE EXPLOITS THAT YOU AND MY BROTHER HAVEâŚâ
âOh come on, bro. Donât tell me that youâre harping on us.â
âSANS I SWEAR TO ASGORE. IF YOU DO NOT SHUT UP I WILL TAKE AWAY YOUR KETCHUP PRIVILEGES FOR A WEEK. NO, A MONTH!â

Fibromyalgia Complications Patients Should be Wary Of
Coping with the symptoms of fibromyalgia can be a struggle for some patients. Aside from having to live with pain and discomfort, those who have this condition are also at risk of developing certain complications. According to our pain management doctor in Spring Hill, fibromyalgia patients tend to feel more pain and muscle aches than normal. While this is not a progressive disease, the fact that there is no cure makes this illness more complicated. Here are some fibromyalgia complications you should be wary of:
1. Increased Risk of Rheumatic ConditionsÂ
Fibromyalgia patients are at risk of developing rheumatic conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and systemic lupus erythematosus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). They often experience joint pain and stiffness, leg muscle weakness, muscle spasms, or inflammation of the limbs, hands or feet.  As a result, patients with fibromyalgia may lose their ability to walk faster or their capacity to maintain balance while standing as their gait changes, according to a study published in Frontiers in Human Science. They may also have difficulty moving about due to pain and stiffness.
2. More HospitalizationÂ
Some 32 percent of fibromyalgia patients have had multiple hospitalizations in a year while 72.6 percent had to see their doctor frequently, according to the National Health Interview Survey. This is because fibromyalgia can bring about related diseases, aside from rheumatic conditions: Sleep problemsHeadaches and migrainesFatigue and tirednessWidespread pain and stiffness Digestive problems like bloating, abdominal pain or irritable bowel syndromeTemporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ) To prevent numerous hospital visits, our pain management doctor in Spring Hill recommends physical activity and moderate exercises like walking or swimming. It might also help to enlist the help of a physical therapist for a specialized program designed, not only for better mobility but also to teach the patient self-management mechanisms.
3. Depression
According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, 20 percent of patients dealing with this chronic condition develop depression. Experts say that the stress of dealing with fibromyalgia can lead to social isolation and withdrawal. Since fibromyalgia can also interfere with activities, it can cause great change in a person's lifestyle. It can make a patient feel even worse, angry, distracted, and irritable. People suffering from this condition may also have a lower quality of life compared to other individuals with chronic health problems. Their disability can greatly impact their mental health. Doctors for pain management in Spring Hill advise patients to openly discuss their emotional struggles with a professional as severe cases could trigger suicidal thoughts.Â

Worldâs First Look: Accademia del Caffè Espresso By La Marzocco
High above the city of Florence, in the hills that roll gently into mountains and valleys along the Via Bolognese, a new must-visit experience has emerged for coffee lovers this world over. This is Accademia del Caffè Espresso, presented by La Marzocco and housed inside the original La Marzocco workshop headquarters, circa 1959, reimagined today as a global education and innovation center dedicated to specialty coffee.
âThis place is like my third daughterâ, says Marta Kokosar, General Manager at Accademia del Caffè Espresso who has personally overseen the concept and creation of this project over the last half-decade, working closely with LM CEO Guido Bernardinelli, who assumed the role in 2018. Kokosar and her team showed off the space to a small, invite-only group of key partners, international press, and local media across a three day period immediatley following HOST 2019 in Milan. Sprudge co-founders Jordan Michelman and Zachary Carlsen were part of this intimate group.
Marta Kokosar
The overall effect of Accademia is somewhere between an interactive coffee art project, a fully-functioning coffee-themed events center, and an interactive Smithsonean museum. Itâs engaging and fun, full of little details that stick with you long after the visit. There are lecture rooms and cupping, roasting, and coffee brewing facilities, and a coffee and business book library personally donated by Bernardinelli from his collection acquired across a life spent traveling in the coffee business. What you wonât find is an overwhelming amount of La Marzocco branding; the companyâs stated goal is for Accademia to function as open center for innovation and inspiration beyond any one specific brand.
Guido Bernardinelli
Guests walking the tour are first greeted by a brand history, offset by one of the original La Marzocco workbenches that once occupied this factory space. Accademia sprawls across the 2500 square meter â 4000 square meter total original La Marzocco production factory, a arched bow truss building from 1959 that now enjoys protected architectural status under Italian law.
From here thereâs a bit of wonder: a massive, interactive Charles Morgan sculpture that functions like a Rube Goldberg device, built entirely from spare La Marzocco espresso machine parts; an interactive hologram depicting La Marzocco product elements in three dimensions; and my personal favorite part of the musuem, a fully functioning original âBambi Barâ from the early 1970s, seving espresso, amari and Italian candies just as it might have 50 years ago. The bar was sourced in original condition from a nearby town here in Tuscany, and across it comes two unique espresso blendsâone a modern take on Italian espresso, the other a purposively retro interpretation of the mid-century Italian tradition, comprised of 60% arabica and 40% robusta. âYouâre going to want some sugar,â the barista tells me, and I dutifully oblige. âNo, a little more.â
Coffee blends modeled after 1950s Italian espresso.
Charles Morgan sculpture.
As you move through the space, past the mid-century âRocketâ pinball machine (the Brothers Bambis once had a stake in the local pinball business), guests are greeted by an expansive timline with more than a hundred unique entries, trailing the intertwining narratives of the twentieth century, coffee history, and the La Marzocco story as it weaves from Bambi family business to international company. The timeline is unexpectedly personalâphotos of the 1966 Florence flood are offset with photos of the Babmi brothers helping friends and clients rebuild. Thereâs an entry for Italyâs victory over Germany at the 1970 World Cup, as well as notices for the launch of La Marzocco in Seattle by Kent Bakke, La Marzoccoâs sponsorship of the first-ever World Barista Championship in 2001, and the creation of Songwa Estates in 2007.
More details abound: a gorgeous Alfa Romeo van converted into a traveling showroom in the 1960s by Giuseppe Bambi, and outfitted with vintage equipment like the âDisco Volanteâ grinder (1960) and the âRondineâ single group lever machine (1953); a gorgeous floor to ceiling coffee genus mural created in collaboration with Cafe Imports, alongside soil samples, coffee shrubs and processing models; an enormous video display board showing off social media interactions and posts from visiting guests.
The central interior of the great space is dominated by a grand green house filled with forestry meant to evoke a coffee farm, including full-grown red and yellow caturra shrubs, banana and taro trees, and shade plants. The greenhouse is almost more like a biosphere, controlled internally by a complex temperature, humidity, and irrigation regulatory systemâwhen a guest steps inside for a wander and a selfie, a member of the Accademia team hits the âmistâ function.
All around you one catches glimpses of the lush, rolling Tuscan hillside, anchoring the Accademia experience to a sense of place. Astonishingly enough, despite all the detail, just Marta Kokosar and her team estimate that just 70% of the space is complete as of this previewâmuch more content and points of interaction will come in the coming months, as the space prepares to accept daily guests in Spring 2020. This includes the addition of a custom workshop in Accademiaâs basement, overseen by long-serving La Marzocco artisans, many of whom have been with the company for decades, starting as teenagers.
Guests and newcomers are immersed in coffee history and culture, but for La Marzocco staff this place is rich with an additional dimension of meeting. Towards the end of our visit we chatted with Chris Salierno, La Marzoccoâs Marketing Director, and ask him about his personal favorite part of the space. We talk about the Morgan sculpture, the biosphere, the gorgeous cupping rooms with their expansive views, but then a grin comes across his face. âCome here, Iâll show you my real favorite place.â
Chris Salierno
Down a back hallway and a short stairwell, we come to a non-descript landing framed by a vast, lush, green hillside view. There are a few massive plants hanging out on the corner of the terrace, but otherwise the space is blank, dominated by the view. âThis is a special place for me,â says Salierno. âUpstairs where the cupping rooms are now, these were our officesâPiero had the big space on the end, I had a little marketing space down the way. But this here,â he says, gesturing to the landing around us, âThis used to be where the tour would end. Everyone would meet here in the old days.â
Salierno went on, smiling. âI remember the first day I met Piero Bambi, when I had just been hired. I couldnât sleep the night beforeâI knew in 15 seconds he would decide whether or not he liked me. And when I met him right here on this landing, he greeted me with a huge smile, and a box of pastries and a bottle of prosecco. And so this is my favorite space.â
Except this remembrance is not in the past tense. Piero Bambi, age 85, attended opening day at Accademia, bringing the transition full circle, from a workshop and factory overseen by a small group of Florentine espresso craftsmen to global hub for the international La Marzocco brand and its next generation of builders and innovators. This project is far from finished; the innovation continues.
Accademia del Caffè Espressoâs General Manager is Marta Kokosar; the projectâs Content Curator is Eleonora Angela Maria Ignazzi; Silvia Bartoloni is the Alliance Coordinator; Massimo Battaglia is Head of Education; Gianni Tratzi serves as Espresso Specialist; and Stefano Della Pietra is the Head of Custom & Innovation Workshop.
Public appointments at Accademia del Caffè Espresso are available beginning Spring 2020. More innovation is available at Accademia del Caffè Espressoâs official website, and on Instagram.Â
Original feature and photos by Jordan Michelman and Zachary Carlsen, co-founders at Sprudge Media Network.Â
