In that blurred state between awake and asleep, an unsettling jolt shakes you into consciousness, as if you were dangling on the edge of a cliff. Startled, you awaken on the couch, yawning and taking in the surrounding darkness. The paused Netflix series, interrupted by the persistent question, "Are you still watching?" lingers on the screen.
To be honest, you had long lost interest in the show, drifting away to find solace in the soothing embrace of slumber. Your weary mind, burdened by the irrevocable sorrow of losing your closest friend, sought refuge in the realm of dreams. As you glance around the dimly illuminated living room, you remind yourself to tidy up the scattered clothes strewn across the floor. Empty water bottles have accumulated like forgotten relics on any available surface, accompanied by a disheveled pile of unwashed dishes, a task that feels insurmountable in your current state of apathy.
It’s been exactly twenty four days, ten hours, and six minutes since you saw Chan die right in front of your eyes. Time becomes your tether, an illusion of control amidst the chaos that now engulfs you. In the prime of his youth, brimming with aspirations, Chan was snatched away too soon. The bond you forged in college carried you through the vibrant years of your twenties, but now, as you approach the threshold of thirty, he is painfully absent, no longer there to mock your aging despite being a mere year your junior.
Chan would give you endless advice about issues that now seemed to be so petty and irrelevant, and when texts weren’t enough at 12am, he would phone you to try to get you to relax and go to bed, promising to destroy you in a good ol’ game of mario kart the next day if you’d get some rest. He was wrong, you always dominated in mario kart, but the competitive shit talking would effectively distract you, which was the whole point. You’d hang up the phone feeling lighter somehow, as if he snatched the problems right from your shoulders and cast them into the skies.
In the realm of forbidden love, Chan possessed all the qualities that could make him the perfect boyfriend. But destiny had other plans, tying him to a five-year relationship while you were bound in a three-year commitment of your own. When your unfaithful partner betrayed you once more, Chan became your guiding light, reminding you of your worth just weeks before his tragic end. As friendship kindled into something more, an intense love grew within you, surpassing mere friendship. Respectful of his relationship, you kept your feelings in check, even though you didn't truly care for Chan's girlfriend. She transformed from a cheerleader to an OnlyFans personality, lacking the depth you believed Chan deserved. But who were you to decide his path? Despite their arguments, he found fragments of happiness with her... at least, when their love wasn't overshadowed by bitter fights every other week.
Tears welled up, spilling over your waterline, as thoughts of him consumed your mind once more. Desperate to escape the crushing weight of guilt that enveloped you, you sought distractions, attempting to forget that you blame yourself for his untimely departure. His family held you responsible too, believing that if only you hadn't taken those shortcuts through dimly lit alleys after your bowling night, the mugging would never have occurred. It was in that moment, face-to-face with a hooded figure, demanding your wallet, that Chan's selflessness emerged. Without hesitation, he confronted the assailant, triggering a violent response. The stranger swiftly plunged a blade into Chan's abdomen, tearing upward through his fragile organs before vanishing into the night.
As his lifeless body crumpled to the ground, blood staining his shirt and spreading with alarming speed, you were rendered utterly helpless, reduced to screams of despair. With trembling hands, you pressed against the wound, begging, pleading for him to stay, to hold on, your desperate pleas piercing the air as you cried out for help. A cook on a smoke break nearby heard your anguished cries and dialed for an ambulance. He handed you a grimy towel, urging you to apply more pressure, even as Chan slipped away, inch by agonizing inch.
"I... I think I'm... dying," he choked, blood seeping from the corners of his mouth, impeding his speech.
"No! You can't be dying! Don't you dare leave me, Chan! Don't you dare leave me like this!" you screamed, your voice strained and desperate.
He gasped, his lungs drowning in a sea of crimson. "I'm... sorry..."
Those were his last words before his body turned limp, the light extinguished from his eyes. You trembled uncontrollably, your body racked with violent sobs, cradling his lifeless form in your lap, willing him to awaken. It had to be a terrible nightmare, a cruel figment of your imagination. It couldn't be real...
Tears streaming down your face, you snatch a nearby mug and hurl it with all your might, watching it shatter against the wall. The sobs come pouring out, a torrent of frustration at the unfairness of life. How could it take away your best friend? You would have given the mugger everything you had, knowing that material possessions could be replaced, but not the irreplaceable bond you shared with Chan.
Without bothering to wipe your tear-stained cheeks, you rise unsteadily and stumble into the bathroom, flicking on the humming light above. The room comes alive, illuminating your trembling figure. In your hand, you clutch a bottle of newly prescribed psychiatric medication, its lid beckoning you to open it and plunge into a sea of pills. It's not the first, second, or even third time that you've contemplated consuming the entire bottle, escaping from this world altogether.
But then, as if echoing from the depths of your soul, you hear Chan's voice, a gentle reminder that pierces through the darkness.
‘Don’t be stupid, that won’t fix anything’
Taking a deep breath, you swallow the prescribed dose meant to help you weather the toughest storms. You tilt your head under the faucet, quenching your thirst as the water washes down the medication. With a swift motion, you turn off the tap and wipe your mouth with the side of your arm. Glancing briefly at your reflection in the mirror, you observe your disheveled appearance—a ponytail barely holding your hair in place, the emergence of weary bags under your eyes, a sight you've never witnessed before. The image worsens the pain within, reminding you of the toll this grief has taken. With a heavy heart, you exit the bathroom, your hand dragging along the light switch, plunging the room into darkness before retreating to the solace of your bedroom.
The bed lies in disarray, a nest of tangled sheets and blankets inviting you to seek solace within its embrace. Collapsing onto it, face first, you release a heavy sigh, shutting your eyes tightly, desperately wishing for a touch of magic to undo everything that has unfolded. Doubts persist, refusing to release their grip, leaving you questioning whether this reality is nothing more than a haunting nightmare or a cruel trance from which you are yet to awaken.
A tap at the window brushes against your senses, but you dismiss it as yet another figment of your restless imagination. The pills are beginning to take effect, gently lulling you into a peaceful slumber amidst the chaos of your bed. Another tap, insistent and persistent, echoes against the glass pane. Your mind races, reminding you that your apartment is situated on the fourth floor, rendering it impossible for anyone to be knocking on your window. Fear grips your heart, the notion of an intruder scaling your fire escape sending shivers down your spine. Instinctively, you lunge for your phone, intent on dialing emergency services.
"Don't do that!"
Time freezes as the unexpected voice reverberates through the room. Your finger hovers above the final digit of 9-1-1, your eyes darting up to the window. Darkness surrounds you, but the moon's radiant glow and the streetlights outside offer a faint illumination, revealing the silhouette standing before you, but the math still isn’t mathing for you yet.
“You’re not crazy, I promise.”
You feel yourself growing nauseated. What type of sick psychosis is this? Was someone playing a trick on you?
“Let me in.”
Surely that voice sounds just like Chan, hell, the silhouette is lit enough for you to see the outline of his face, but your brain still can’t make sense of it.
“Y/N let me in and I can explain, but it still won’t make any fucking sense. I didn’t have anywhere else to go just…please.”
His plea resonates deep within your being, compelling you to rush towards the window, swiftly unlatching it and pushing it open. Disbelief washes over you as you behold the figure before you. It's Chan, undoubtedly, from head to toe, but he's adorned in a suit that exudes an unmatched elegance, surpassing anything he ever wore in his human form.
"I must be going insane," you mutter, the words escaping your lips at last.
"No, you're not," he replies, his hands casually tucked into his pockets. Casting a glance around, he heaves a sigh. "Can I come in?"
Furrowing your brows, you find yourself utterly perplexed. “W-What the fuck is going on?”
"I can't enter unless you give me permission," he explains, his voice tinged with urgency. "And I can't explain it all out here. Just... tell me I can come in."
Your mouth opens, then closes. With guarded uncertainty, you finally utter the words that will forever alter the course of this enigmatic encounter. "You can come in."
"Finally," he murmurs, effortlessly climbing through your window. You watch in wide-eyed astonishment as he surveys your room. "Did a tornado sweep through here or something?"
Silence hangs heavy in the air as you remain rooted in place, your mouth slightly ajar. Chan settles on your bed, patting the space beside him. "Sorry, probably not the best timing for jokes right now."
"Are you some kind of ghost?" you stammer, desperately seeking an explanation for the inexplicable.
"You're incredibly stubborn, you know that?" he retorts, patting the bed insistently. "Just sit."
Reluctantly, you take a seat beside him, feeling a mix of curiosity and apprehension. He reaches out and clasps your hand in his own. It's chillingly cold, like grasping an ice pack pulled from the freezer. Startled, you snatch your hand back, inching away from him. “What the fuck is going on?”
"I'm still trying to figure that out," he admits, tilting his head slightly and hooking his index finger under his lower lip, revealing a lengthened fang that stands out amidst his otherwise perfect teeth.
"You've got to be kidding me, Chan," you exclaim, struggling to believe your eyes. "Are you... Are you a..." The word hangs on the tip of your tongue, too unbelievable to utter.
"A vampire?" he finishes your sentence, his voice tinged with a strange mix of resignation and disbelief. "I wouldn't believe it myself if I hadn't woken up in the crematorium, lying on an examination table."
He looks down at his hands, as if seeing them for the first time. “The mortician came in once he heard me freaking out. He was so calm, it was scary. He handed me these clothes, and told me I had a second chance.”
As you listen to his words, the medication begins to take effect, both soothing and disorienting you. Part of you believes that this must be a dream, a hallucination that will fade away upon waking. "Vampires... they're real?" you mumble, the words feeling unreal on your tongue.
"The mortician, the one who took care of me after... after that night, he turned me," Chan explains. "He told me there are others like us, vampires, including the lead cardiovascular surgeon at Greatview Hospital and many more scattered across the country."
You freeze, your eyes scanning his figure intently. "No," you utter, rising to your feet. "No, this can't be true." You repeat the words, trying to convince yourself that you're experiencing a psychotic episode, a figment of your traumatized mind. "I saw you die in my arms."
"I remember," Chan replies gently, his voice now softer and more reassuring. Your guard momentarily falters, accustomed to finding solace in his voice. “Look, I haven’t shown myself to anyone. Not my parents, friends, anybody. I didn’t know where to go, so I came here.”
“I still can’t believe this. I took my meds and I’m hallucinating.”
Chan raises an eyebrow at the mention of medication. “Meds? Since when are you on medication? For what?”
You stretch out your hands in front of you, gesturing dramatically towards the undead being standing before you. "I watched you die!"
"Can you please stop reminding me?" Chan pleads, sighing and rising from the bed. You instinctively take a step back, then another, and another. “I get it, this is really fucking weird, but I’m trying to figure it out too, and you’re the only one I can trust to help me sort through this. Please,” He walks towards you and you take another step back, and another, and another. Chan’s eyes were pleading, and even as a human, you had never seen him so desperate. It was pulling at you in ways you couldn’t understand. “Help me?”
Your back meets the wall, and you find yourself mere inches away from him, lost in his familiar comforting gaze. Perhaps it's the medication surging through your system or the undeniable connection you share, but your fear begins to dissipate, replaced by an inexplicable pull towards him.
"Okay," you whisper, surrendering to the magnetism drawing you closer.
In that instant, he closes the remaining distance, pressing his body against yours, and his lips meet yours in a kiss that defies all expectations. This is nothing like the countless times you've imagined your first kiss with Chan. Despite the unnatural circumstances surrounding him, he is here, in your room, kissing you with lips colder than anything you've ever experienced. Chan was cold like ski vacations that turn into arctic nights with blinding blizzards. He was cold like making snow angels in the remotest sundries of Antarctica. And yet, against your heated warmth, it melded and melted you into a dizziness that made you wonder how someone could kiss you like this. His scent evokes the desperate burning of cedar by humans seeking warmth to survive. He doesn't breathe, his stillness reminiscent of being stranded in the untouched frozen tundra. His taste is like the hidden depths of an iceberg lurking beneath the surface of the sea. Surely humans weren’t capable of such otherworldly capture of the senses in these inexplicable ways.
He lifts you effortlessly, your legs securely wrapping around his waist, as his hand finds support on the wall. With graceful precision, he lowers you down the wall, gently laying you on the floor, making you feel weightless like a delicate dove feather. His lips part slightly, revealing the tips of his sharp teeth just beneath his pale, plush upper lip. You're captivated by the deliberate way he undoes his watch, letting it fall with a thud on the carpet alongside his jacket. His focus on undressing himself is almost ritualistic, as he meticulously undoes each cuff of his sleeves. Was he always like this, or did the blood of his maker course through his veins, influencing his every move? The man above you existed twenty four days, twelve hours, and forty six minutes ago, yet he carries the essence of centuries within him.
“Have you drank blood yet?” you manage to breathe, your gaze fixed on his fingers skillfully unbuttoning his shirt. The question momentarily halts his actions, his eyes still locked on the task at hand. It's a brief pause, lasting only a second or two, before he resumes, his gaze now locked with yours.
“I haven’t bitten anyone.”
“That’s not what I asked.”
“That’s what you meant, though, right?”
He looks down again, pulling his shirt from his slacks, the last button falling and revealing his sculpted shoulders as he works on his belt. Your heart races in your chest, the earlier ease dissipating. How did he know? You and Chan shared a deep connection, but it's as if he just read your thoughts without even glancing at your face. As your eyes follow his gaze to the golden, slender belt buckle, you can't help but notice the undeniable hardness that tents the front of his pants.
"The mortician who turned me... he said I'm not ready," Chan reveals, swiftly removing his belt in one fluid motion. Feeling the electricity in the air, you take charge and unbutton his pants, stealing the spotlight for yourself. "Your heartbeat fills my ears, it's so loud. I've been trying to ignore it this whole time, but it's like a pulsating drumbeat," he admits, his relief palpable as his hardness finds release, causing his head to tilt back. It's not just the longing he has harbored for being this close to you, although that's a significant part—it's the way you look at him, the way your pulse quickens, the hitch in your breath—it all makes him crave you, body and soul. He wants to devour you, if he's being completely honest. So he counts the seconds it takes to undo his cuffs, the buttons lining his shirt, hoping to distract himself from the thirst welling up in his mouth that he keeps swallowing.
"A drumbeat," you echo, your voice trembling. "But don't you love music?"
"I do," he replies.
"I thought you couldn't live without music."
"I can't."
"Then... we're okay, right?" you inquire, your hand running along the length of his hardened desire, the cool fabric of his briefs the only barrier between you and its icy touch. Your gaze never wavers from his, a silent plea for reassurance. You want to see the Chan who died protecting you; the Chan who would vanquish this version of himself, even if it meant embarking on a fool's mission.
"You won't hurt me, will you?"
He may not require breath for survival, but the sensation of your touch makes his breath audible, escaping in short, jagged gasps that his teeth can barely contain. You can see it, and you can hear it—the rhythm of his breath intertwined with the flex of his firm muscles, like woven iron beneath his pale, milky skin.
"I could never hurt you," Chan professes, his words laden with sincerity, yet tinged with a sense of unease. He wonders if he can truly bear the weight of that promise, given his newfound struggle with self-control. He captures your lips once more, as you navigate his briefs in a hurried frenzy, responding to his kiss with a fiery intensity. You strive to avoid his fangs, the smooth ivory points that pose a dangerous threat against your swollen lips. Your breath becomes heavy against his mouth as you feel him pressing against your entrance, teasing you with deliberate strokes, spreading slickness and igniting electric shocks throughout your body. Each tiny quiver you make when he brushes past your sensitive clit only serves to undermine his initial plan of taking things slow. Plan A was to resist giving in to desire, but that failed, so Plan B was to proceed with caution. And yet, you were compelling him to venture further down the alphabet until he had exhausted all his options.
Curiosity overtakes you, and you tentatively reach up to touch the tip of his fang, a tad too eagerly, causing your finger to prick. Your reflex pulls away, but before you can retreat an inch, he thrusts inside you and firmly clasps your wrist, bringing it to his lips. It startles you; you've never seen him move so swiftly, almost as if he had teleported. There's no escaping his cold vice grip, and fear grips your heart. You want to protest, to plead for your life, but the words elude you when he fills you completely, his strokes caressing your most sensitive spots again and again. He takes your finger into his mouth, his tongue lapping at the wound, cleansing the blood. In that moment, you sense a shared eroticism, amplifying his pleasure in a primal manner.
He must be on Plan D or E by now, but all semblance of order dissipates when you moan his name and rake your nails down his chest. "Please, bite me. Pretty please? God, I just... I need to feel you—"
Chan's body hovers over yours, his cheek pressing against yours. “Stop begging me like that–”
"Or what?" you challenge, your back arching, breasts pressing into him as your bodies move in sync and he ruts into you. The pace slows, intensifying the sensation, pushing you closer to the edge. It's like a row of slot machines aligning at the casino, anticipation building, and you're on the verge of breaking, so close, incredibly close.
“Shi–you’re such a fucking brat–” Chan huffs against your neck, taking in your scent. It was like blueberries grown in the sunshine were in a basket underneath your skin. He knew exactly where each vessel ran. He could tell the difference between the pace of your veins and the race of your arteries. Each stroke inside you sets his fangs throbbing with need, and soft, guttural groans escape him as he tightens his grip on your hair, propelling both of you towards the precipice.
"Chan..." You try to utter his name, attempting to warn him, to give him a heads up, but words fail you. You're reduced to incoherent babbling, your body spasming and your toes curling. Chan curses into your skin as his sharp teeth break the surface, sinking into your shoulder. He can't halt the inevitable rush of his bite, but he steers clear of major arteries. Regrettably, the bite is deeper than intended, its edges jagged. Once he withdraws his fangs, you feel the warm flow of your own blood cascading down your shoulder. The area quickly goes numb, sending tingling shivers coursing through your body, catching you off guard and propelling you into another climax. It's an unexpected surge of pleasure, enveloping you completely. You've witnessed stars in moments of intimacy before, but now your vision becomes veiled in ethereal auras, akin to cumulus clouds bringing tempestuous weather directly into your bedroom.
Chan's mind goes blank, his instincts taking over as he sensually licks your breast, tracing a path up your collarbone, and back to the healing wound where his hunger led to the mingling of his own blood with yours. Within seconds of savoring your life force, he’s filling you up, his dick buried inside of you as he pulls your hips harder and lets out a broken moan of release. The pleasure tears him away from his consuming desire to drink from you, his hips jerking as he empties himself inside you.
Finally able to catch your breath, you realize he was like oxygen, taking you to another world, albeit a temporary escape. But now, the metallic scent of blood brings you back to reality, a reminder of the way he ravaged your shoulder earlier. The carpet beneath you is damp and sticky, soaked with spilled blood. However, as you touch the area, there's no evidence of the incident on your skin.
"I think it's gone," Chan helps you sit up on the floor, examining the spot on your upper back. True enough, it's smooth, the dried stain of blood serving as the only reminder. "I don't know how, but it's gone."
You touch the area in disbelief. "Wow, it's like it never happened," you say, struggling to recall the intensity of the bite. Concerned for Chan, you ask him if he's okay, considering the overwhelming experience you both just shared.
Chan's expression turns uneasy, his attention abruptly drawn to the window. Confusion and worry cloud his features. "I think... I think I have to go," he stammers, hastily retrieving his clothes and dressing himself as if compelled by an unseen force. He buckles his pants, hurriedly pulls on his shirt, and stumbles toward the window, his actions urgent. You panic and follow after him.
“What’s happening?!”
"I... I don't know. I think I have to go. I just..." Chan collapses to the ground, clutching his ears, crying out in pain as images of the crematorium flash through his mind's eye. "I'll come back another time," he manages to say, raising the window, and in an instant, he's out and down the fire escape, disappearing into the whispers of the city winds.

The Moon’s Shadow Part 1 (Changbin)
Summary: When an ancient vampire smells a delicious scent that calls to him he can’t stay away. He’s addicted. He’s obsessed. He wants her and only her.
Requested by: Me @therandompagesblog 💕
Trigger Warnings: Stalking, obsession, implied danger, emotional distress.
By the time I laid eyes on her, I was already too far gone. It was her scent. The way her blood called to me. It sang! It began like all things do, subtly. Her scent carried in the air, elusive yet intoxicating, pulling me toward her like a tether to my very being. For centuries, I had wandered through a world dulled by monotony, immune to the fleeting, colourful lives of mortals. But she—she was different. Her laugh. That laugh, ringing like chimes in the twilight, woke something in me I hadn't felt in centuries. Curiosity. Hunger. Obsession.
For weeks, I shadowed her. Days, of course, were impossible. The sun's cruel rays would reduce me to ash in moments, but the night. The night was mine. Beneath the moon's gaze, I trailed her footsteps, always in the shadows, always just out of reach. She worked late in the city, her long days bleeding into restless evenings. Her apartment was modest, a third-story walk-up in a quiet neighbourhood that clung to its sense of safety. But I could see through the cracks in her blinds, see how her evenings dissolved into books, steaming cups of tea, and nights spent writing furiously at her desk. I should've stayed away! But I couldn't. The more I watched her, the more I wanted to know her. To unravel every secret locked behind that sharp wit and soft gaze. Sometimes, I lingered outside her window just to hear her hum absentmindedly as she worked. I could hear the brush of her fingers against the paper, the scrape of her pen. Once, I even heard her mutter a curse when the ink ran dry, and I laughed—a low, quiet sound that startled even me. She didn't hear me, of course. She never did.
I followed her everywhere. To the corner café where she always ordered the same cup of coffee, bitter and black. To the bookstore where she lingered too long in the poetry section, fingers ghosting over leather-bound spines. To the park where she fed pigeons in the late hours of the evening, her breath misting in the chill air. The world melted away in those moments, and it was only her. Her warmth, her humanity, her heartbeat thrumming like a siren's call. Once, she dropped a book while leaving the café, and I caught myself reaching for it before stopping mid-step. I watched her glance around for a moment, puzzled, before picking it up herself and walking on. I told myself it was for her safety that I kept my distance. That I was protecting her from the monster I had become centuries ago. But the truth was far more selfish: I wasn't ready for her to see me. What if she recoiled? What if the awe I felt for her was nothing but disgust in her eyes? And yet, I wanted her to know me, even if only a sliver of the truth.
The hunger grew unbearable. It wasn't just blood I craved—though the thought of her pulse beneath my lips ignited a storm in me I could barely contain—it was everything. The way she moved, her voice, her scent. The hunger became a weight, suffocating and relentless, until I found myself perched at her fire escape one evening, just outside her window. She was there, of course, scribbling in her notebook, her brow furrowed in thought. A loose strand of hair fell over her face, and she tucked it behind her ear absentmindedly. I wanted to reach through the glass. To brush her hair back.To say her name. But I didn't. I couldn't. Instead, I whispered it under my breath, savouring the taste of it on my tongue like a forbidden prayer. "Y/N..." Her pen stilled. For a moment, I thought she heard me, but she simply sighed, setting the pen down and stretching her arms above her head. My fingers curled into fists, nails biting into my palms as I fought the urge to reach for her. Then, she stood, walking to the window. I froze, retreating further into the shadows as she glanced outside. She looked through me, her eyes scanning the empty street below before she sighed again and drew the curtains shut.
It was raining the night I made my decision. The storm had rolled in quickly, drenching the city in sheets of silver, and I found myself at her door, soaked but unbothered. I could hear her inside, pacing. Her heartbeat was erratic, quickened by some unseen worry. What was she afraid of? The thought sent a pang through me, sharper than any stake. I couldn't stand it anymore. The hiding, the distance—it was maddening. I raised my hand to knock but hesitated. Would she open the door? Would she slam it shut the moment she saw me? No. I had to see her. I had to know. My knuckles rapped against the wood, sharp and deliberate. Silence. Then, the sound of her footsteps approaching, hesitant but steady. The door creaked open, and there she was. My breath caught—or it would have, had I needed to breathe. She stared at me, her eyes wide with confusion, her lips parting as if to speak but no sound escaping. I drank in the sight of her, every detail more vivid than I'd ever imagined. And then, finally, she spoke. "Can I help you?" Her voice was softer than I'd expected, but it held a note of caution. I didn't respond immediately. How could I? What words could convey everything I'd felt, everything I wanted to say? So, I simply stared, hoping she would see me, truly see me, beyond the monster. But the monster was all I saw reflected in her eyes when realisation dawned. "You..." she whispered, her voice trembling. "You've been following me." It wasn't a question. I nodded, the weight of her words pressing down on me like a shroud. Her hand tightened on the doorknob, and I could see the fear blooming in her gaze. "I'm not here to hurt you," I said, my voice low, almost pleading. "Then why are you here?" she demanded her tone sharper now. The truth burned on the tip of my tongue, but I couldn't say it. Not yet. Instead, I stepped back, the rain washing over me as I retreated into the night. But I would return. She knew it. And so did I.

Eternal Hunt: Trailer
The screen fades in on a dark, cobbled street, shrouded in fog. A faint drizzle slicks the pavement. The camera pans down to reveal a young woman’s body—Y/N—lying lifeless, blood pooling around her neck.
Voiceover (Y/N’s voice, low and resolute):
“They say the moment you die, your life flashes before your eyes. For me, it was different. My life didn’t end that night... it began.”
The camera slowly pans up, showing her motionless face, pale against the crimson spreading around her. Then—snap. Her eyes fly open, glowing blood-red. Thunder crashes.
Cue the rising hum of tense music. The screen cuts to black, then flickers to life with quick flashes of present-day Y/N: pulling on leather boots, strapping on SOG Fling throwing knives, holstering guns at her sides. She throws on a long, crimson leather coat. Her eyes gleam with determination.
Voiceover (Y/N):
“For over a century, I’ve hunted the monster who made me.”
The music builds into a pounding rhythm. Y/N runs through a shadowy alley, the rain falling in slow motion as she leaps into a crowd of Dominic’s enforcers. The scene explodes into action—she moves with supernatural speed and precision, knives flashing, bodies falling around her. A gunshot echoes as she fires without hesitation. The rain splatters her crimson coat, but she doesn’t stop.
Dominic Laurent (voiceover, mocking):
“You’ve been chasing me for a long time. Do you really think you can stop me, little seamstress?”
The camera cuts to Dominic’s menacing face, cloaked in shadows, his sinister grin framed by dim, golden light. The scene switches to the detectives: Chan barking orders, Hyunjin weaving through a crowd in disguise, Han working furiously at a laptop, Changbin slamming an enforcer against a wall.
Chan (to Y/N, in a dimly lit room):
“Who are you? And why do I feel like you’ve been keeping secrets?”
Y/N leans against the wall, her voice cold and measured.
“Because I have. But if you want to survive, you’ll follow my lead.”
*Scenes flash in quick succession:
* Y/N fighting alongside the detectives, the tension between her and Chan palpable.
* Felix’s face streaked with blood, smiling grimly as he reloads his gun.
* I.N and Seungmin standing over a map, arguing over their next move.
* Dominic watching everything from a skyscraper, his sinister laugh reverberating through the screen.*
Dominic (voiceover):
“You don’t even know what you are, do you?”
The music crescendos. Y/N stands on a rooftop, the wind whipping through her hair as she looks down at the city, her fists clenched. Her voice returns, quiet but firm.
“This isn’t just revenge anymore. It’s war.”
The screen cuts to her charging into a room filled with Dominic’s men, the detectives bursting in behind her. Explosions. Gunfire. Fangs flashing. A fleeting moment of eye contact between her and Chan, charged with unspoken emotion.
Final shot: Y/N facing Dominic in the shadows, her voice steady.
“I will end you.”
The screen cuts to black as the title card fades in:
Eternal Hunt

“Okay… okaaaay.” You slur, stopping dead in your tracks, outside what you can only assume is a beautiful house but you're so drunk your head is spinning, your eyes are squinting and you can't focus. “I need to know.” You mumble, holding up one finger to Chan.
You can see him trying to not crack a smile at your obvious drunkenness.
“What do you need to know?” He asks, cocking his beautiful head to the side.
“First…off.” You hiccup. “How come all of you look like pale Greek gods?” You whine. “Second of all, why did you help me? With… asshat back there?” You almost incoherently mumble. It takes Chan and Jeongin a second to understand what you just said, and before he can answer you're swaying, your eyes are closed and you're pretty close to being passed out. Chan motions for Jeongin, who comes and throws you over his shoulder to bring you inside.
“... we helped you, because you needed us to help you.” Chan whispers from behind a chuckling Jeongin. They bring you into the house, Jeongin laying you down onto the couch gently, covering you with a blanket as 6 other men emerge from other parts of the house.
“There's a human in our house.” Seungmin mumbles.
“Correction, she's our human.” Hyunjin smiles, admiring your peaceful looking face.
“I really don't think this is going to go as smoothly as you all think it will.” Minho murmurs. “It's not going to be that easy.”
“No, it won't. But whatever happens, we're there for her.” Chan announces. “It's not like we have anything but time. She'll come around eventually once we tell her everything.”
“You think she will? Even when we tell her we've been waiting for her for over a century?” Seungmin scoffs. “She's going to run for the fucking hills.”
“Do you want her to run? Or do you want her to be here with us?” Han asks. “Cause I personally want her to be here.”
“Of course I want her here.” Seungmin begins. “But I just know how this is going to play out. Not to mention, that stupid fucking boyfriend of hers, you think he's gonna let her go that easily?”
“I wouldn't worry about him.” Jeongin laughs. “I can't see her going back to him.”
“I don't know man, humans and their emotions… They crave familiarity, comfort and shit. She's not done with him. Not yet. She will be though. But it has to be her decision.” Minho pipes up.
The 8 men stand around your sleeping frame, wondering how in the world you were going to be okay with them and what they were.
You let out a big yawn, stretching your arms as you try to remember last night's events as you slowly wake up. You roll over onto your side, hearing the faint sound of a TV in the background, that's weird, you didn't have a TV in your room. And you were sure you didn't end up back at your apartment after that shit with Mark. You need to open your eyes but to be completely honest, you're a little scared too. You open one eye, seeing an unfamiliar living room. You look around with one eye, before feeling like you weren't alone. You dart up on the couch you were sleeping on, seeing the handsome men from earlier in the week. They were all scattered on the couch, trying to not be obvious at looking at you but most of them were failing.
“Um.” You begin, your voice is hoarse.
“Don't panic.” Chan smiles, getting onto the floor, in front of you. “You got into it pretty bad with your ex last night. You were really drunk, we brought you back here to keep you safe.” He explains. Flashes of your fight with Mark pop into your head. You nod, it made sense.
“I had nowhere to go.” You whisper.
“Yes that's right.” Chan agrees.
“So you brought me home… like an abandoned puppy.” You murmur.
“You could say that.” One smiles.
“Seungmin.” Chan snaps.
“You all know me.” You say, looking around the room. “But I don't know you.”
“Let's change that. I'm Chan, that's Hyunjin.” He says, pointing to the man he was with when he caught you. “Seungmin.” The man who pulled you back from getting hit. “Jeongin.” You knew from your class. “Felix.” The man in the bathroom. “Han and Minho.” The ones you ran into, literally. “And finally, Changbin.” he says, pointing to the last man.
“The one who made me a terrible coffee.” You say. Everyone erupts in laughter.
“Hey! I'm still learning! I also may have given you decaf.” He pouts.
“You've worked at coffee shops for years, you've never improved.” Hyunjin laughs.
“Well.” You say clearing your throat. “This has been informative… Thank you for last night. I really appreciate it, but I think I should be going home.”
“You're going back to him?” Jeongin asks.
“I don't…um, I mean yeah?” You whisper. “He's my boyfriend.”
“He cheated on you.” Jeongin reminds you.
“Relationships take work… You know? Ups and downs and shit. I shouldn't be talking about this with strangers. Fuck. I should be talking to him.” You mumble. “I need to go.” You whisper.
“Already?” Han asks, pouting slightly.
“He'll um… be wondering where I am.” You say. You look around the room and they all look disappointed in your decision to leave. While you appreciated the help, your relationship was in the trenches and being in a house alone with 8 hot as fuck men, wasnt doing anyone any favors.
“Guys, relax. We'll see you around campus. And if you need help… or a place to stay, let any of us know.” Chan smiles. “Minho can take you home.”
“Oh no, that's okay, really, I don't know how far I am from my place and I don't want to inconvenience anyone. You've done so much already. ”
“I'll take you. Let's go.” Minho says, grabbing keys from his pocket, heading towards the front door. You quickly get up and follow him, turning around to see the 7 men still sitting there watching you leave, almost like they were pleading with their eyes for you to stay.
But as it turned out you were only 5 blocks from your apartment and you got there too quickly. You weren't ready to face Mark and you had no idea what this morning was going to bring.
The second you opened the door, Mark was there, tears stains left on his cheeks, down on his knees as he cried, begging and pleading for you to give him another chance. There was something about seeing a grown man on his knees, crying and begging after being caught that just felt…right.
“Get up.” You scoff. “That's so embarrassing for you.” You murmur, walking around him and into the apartment.
You were raging. Seeing him made it all that much worse, especially down on the floor, and honestly made you question how in love with him you were… if you even were still.
“Y/n.” He begins, scrambling from his knees. “Please forgive me. Please, I'm begging you, I'm so sorry about everything. My attitude, the cheating, everything. Every single thing I've done in the last little while.” He huffs. Part of it feels genuine, but part of it feels almost forced, like there's an ulterior motive for his apology. “Please don't leave me. Please. I love you so much. I can't lose you!” He whines.
“You didn't love me that much when you had that girl in our bed, did you?” You laugh.
“It was a mistake! A stupid, stupid mistake. I love you and I'll change… for you!” He pleads.
No.
You loved him.
Don't.
You did love him.
Don't do it.
You loved him once.
Your inner voice was screaming at you to turn around and walk away, literally sleep on the street if you needed to but don't stay with him.
“Mark…” you pause. “This is out. I'm all out of fucks to give. You fuck it up this time and I'm fucking done.” You murmur.
Where the fuck was your backbone?
“Thank you baby, thank you. You won't regret it!” He smiles, wiping away his tears, wrapping his arms around you.
You knew you would regret it, but whether that was in an hour, a day or a year was yet to be seen.
“Good morning, beautiful.” You hear from beside you. You glance over to see Hyunjin standing there, a small smile on his face as he waits for the light with you.
“Good morning.” You murmur, your stomach fluttering and your heart racing. You could feel the redness creeping across your face. The walk signal begins flashing, Hyunjin reaches over, grabbing your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. “Seungmin told me about the first time you met.” He whispers. “Don't worry, I'll keep you safe.” He finishes, pulling you along the cross walk with him. Mark never did things like this, if you were walking with him, he'd be laughing and joking about the time you almost got hit by a car.
You're so flustered you can't respond to him. All you could focus on was the jolt of electricity that was flowing through your body, only that you'd never experienced before with anyone else. Once you're safely across the street, Hyunjin lets go of your hand, giving you a big grin, before taking off in the opposite direction of you.
You walk towards your class, glancing around the campus, when your eyes lock with Chan. He's leaning against a pillar, flipping through a notebook, and you almost start drooling. You watch him as you keep walking, the smile on his face never faltering as you walk past. He smiles at you, giving you a little wave before sneaking in a wink that makes your red face continue.
You got to class a little earlier than last time, praying there was more of a seat selection than there was last time. You open the door, it was almost empty. You smile walking in, picking a seat in the middle so you weren't too close but also not too far away. You unpack your backpack, setting up your desk when you hear the door open. Your head shoots up, seeing Jeongin walking in. Your heart starts racing as he sees you, flashing a gorgeous smile towards you. He walks up, sitting beside you again and this time you don't mind, but Jeongin sitting next to you made for a tough class. He couldn't not touch you. He had to have either his leg touching yours, or his arm touching yours, making you feel the jolts of electricity, just like you had felt with Hyunjin earlier in the morning.
Jeongin left class abruptly, while you took your time gathering your things. You weren't sure how many more interactions you could handle today. You walked out of the classroom, where you see one of Mark's best friends, San standing off to the side, twiddling his fingers. You watched him spot you, he takes a deep breath before he starts walking towards you. Suddenly his eyes go wide, he turns around and walks away from you. You're confused for a moment until you feel someone beside you.
“How was class?” Felix asks, a sultry smile on his face.
“I'm not sure.” You sigh, you barely remember a single sentence your professor said. Jeongin's cool body and the feeling of him beside you was extremely distracting.
“Jeongin?” He laughs.
“How'd you know?” You ask.
“It's the pull.” He murmurs. you wanted to ask him what that meant but he continued. “Ah, look at the time.” He laughs. “I have class. See you later.” He yells, rushing off.
You really didn't want to go to your last class but you did and when it was done you went home to collapse in bed. It was only Monday and Mark had sent you a text that he was out with the boys. So you knew you wouldn't see him for at least four days, if not more, that's if he was really with them. You didn't trust him, you didn't know if he was with them or the girl but you couldn't ask him. If you even joked a little about it he got so upset. That was a red flag and you knew it was, but you couldn't bring yourself to actually leave him because trust could regrow… right?
The next morning it was quiet. As you waited at the light, there was no one waiting there with you. As you walked through the campus for your early morning class you were alone and it felt weird. You walked to the coffee shop, desperately needing caffeine before your day truly started. You walked into the coffee shop, seeing Changbin behind the counter. You were going to keep it simple for him today, you did wonder how he kept his job if he couldn't make any coffee correctly.
“Hey, you.” He smiles. “What can I get you?”
“Can I get an iced latte… caramel.” You smile.
“Of course!” He says, turning around to make your drink. You didn't have much faith in him but you were hoping for the best.
Hey baby.” You hear from behind you. Your heart sinks. You turn around, seeing Mark standing there with San, who was avoiding eye contact.
“Mark? What are you doing here?” You ask.
“I have class, too.” He says, walking towards you.
“One beautiful latte, for a beautiful girl.” Changbin announces, sliding a hot drink towards you with a smile, until he sees Mark. His smile drops, glaring at the man standing with you.
“Why are you calling my girlfriend beautiful?” Mark asks. He looks between you and Changbin. “Are you fucking the coffee man?” He scoffs.
“Oh fuck off, Mark. I'm not the fucking cheater here.” You spit, rolling your eyes. “Thanks, Changbin.” You say. He can see the sadness in your face and he can hear it in your voice. He watches you walk away, your mood completely ruined.
“Stay away from her.” Mark snaps at Changbin, who just smiles.
“Why? Are you scared she's going to leave you?” Changbin asks. “Because I'll let you in on a little secret.” He whispers, leaning closer to Mark. “She will leave you, because you fucking suck.”
“Shut the fuck up.” Mark scoffs. “She'll never leave me. Give me a coffee.” He demands.
“Sorry, all out of coffee for douchebags.” Changbin laughs. “Next!”
You just went through the motions of the day, your mind replaying the entire interaction from the morning over and over again. How could Mark think that you were cheating on him? You had never given him the slightest reason to doubt you. He was insecure. You knew that but he'd never accused you before, so why now? You shuffled through campus, ready to go home and hoped Mark wouldn't be there.
“Why so glum?” You hear from beside you. You look over and see Seungmin, shuffling his feet with you. “Is it about the whole thing this morning?” He asks.
You stopped in your tracks, looking at Seungmin. “How did you hear about that?”
“Changbin.” Seungmin says, shrugs his shoulders.
“You're all a bunch of gossips, aren't you?” You ask, glaring at him, making him laugh.
“Yeah.” He chuckles. “Sometimes.”
You keep walking, Seungmin continues to walk with you. “You shouldn't trust Mark, you know.” He mentions.
“Yeah, well he hasn't earned that back, not even close.” You mumble.
“Take care of yourself, okay?” He says. You turn to say something but he's gone. It feels like he was never even there. You go home to your empty apartment, thankful for the quiet you get that evening.
You cried yourself to sleep that night.
The next morning, you head to class, and all throughout the day you have no interactions with any of the men that have mysteriously come into your life. When you walked out of your last class, you're met with pouring rain. The sky was almost black, the wind slowly picking up. It made the knots in your stomach worse. All day you'd felt like something was wrong but you couldn't put your finger on it. You step out from under the shelter, deciding to brave the rain and walk home. You'd only make it a few steps before your arm is yanked. You turn around, seeing San, soaking wet, breathing heavily.
“What are you doing?” You yell.
“I have to tell you something!” He says back. “Mark…” He pauses.
“Is he okay?” You ask, worried for a second that something happened to him.
“He's fine but y/n… you need to know. He never stopped seeing Chae. He's still fucking around on you with her.” San admits.
You drop your hand to your side, it feels like your throat is beginning to close.
How could you have been so stupid to think that Mark was serious enough to stop cheating? Of course he was. You can feel the tears welling in your eyes as you sniffle. You're ready to collapse to the ground, hoping the earth would swallow you up and make you disappear.
“I'm sorry y/n… I really am.” San says, awkwardly putting his arm around you. You stand there, partially embraced by San as your head just spins 100 miles a minute. He says something to you that you don't really hear before walking away from you.
You feel your knees get weak, you're going to drop but before you can, you feel an arm tightly wrap around your shoulders, keeping you up right.
“I got you.” The voice murmurs. You look over to see Minho beside you, Han grabbing onto your other side, both men guiding you to Minho's car. They were both completely unbothered by the rain, whereas you were shivering like you were in the middle of a Canadian winter.
Minho opens the back passenger side door for you, letting you slide in before he rushes towards the driver's side and Han gets into the front. Minho starts the car and blasting the heat in the back pointing all the heaters towards you. You could feel the tears coming on but you didn't want to cry. Mark wasn't worth it to cry. He showed you who he was, all throughout the last 2 years and you just took it, you put up with it and gave him chance after chance. So now that he's fucked up again, it shouldn't hurt anymore. But it did, and you didn't know how to make it stop hurting.
Minho watched the road intensely for the short drive to the house. Neither of them spoke, thankfully. You couldn't do it right now. You were thankful he wasn't taking you back to your apartment because honestly, how do you tell someone you just met for the third time, that you can't go home because your boyfriend cheated on you, just like he did the second time you met. You felt so fucking stupid. The car pulls into the semi familiar driveway, turning off and the three of you sit there in silence. Not once did either ask you what was wrong, what happened or why you were so upset, but at the same time it was almost like they knew.
Of course they knew, they probably would have been able to spot what was going to happen next from a mile away.
“Do you want to sit in here or go inside?” Minho asks, breaking the silence. They both glanced back at you.
You weren't sure. You should probably go in, but you felt it to be a little strange. Going back into their house a few days later. You could just feel the “I told you so.” From Jeongin already.
You should have listened to the strangers. Before you can answer his question, the front door swings open, a pissed off looking Hyunjin stomps out onto the front porch. You watch as he and Chan argue, both of them looking like they were going to rip each other's throats out. For some reason, you felt compelled to get out of the car, like you needed to get in-between the two of them, so that's what you did. You left the car door open as you rushed up the steps, moving between the two fuming men.
“What the hell, you guys?” You snap.
Both their faces immediately soften as they look at you and your red, puffy face.
“Us? Why are you back? What happened?” Chan asks, grabbing onto your arm. His hand was like ice, it sent a chill down your spine.
“She just about collapsed in the rain.” Minho pipes up, closing your door for you. “We don't know why.” He murmurs, looking between Chan and Hyunjin.
“Come on, let's get you inside.” Chan murmurs, guiding you in. “We'll finish this later.” He says to Hyunjin, who follows closely behind you.
An hour, some hot coffee not made by Changbin, warm towels and blankets and some laughs later, you're dry with 8 men sitting around you, all of them desperate to ask you what happened but all of them waiting until you're ready to tell them.
“I guess you wanna know what happened?” You ask.
“Who? Us? Nah, if you're not ready.” Han smiles.
“Yeah actually, that's what we've all been waiting for. Spill it, L/N.” Seungmin says.
“One of Mark's friends… he uh, he told me Mark is still cheating on me.” You murmur.
“Are you surprised?” Minho asks. He seemed genuinely curious.
“I mean a little? He begged me like a little bitch to not leave him..” you mumble.
“I'm so glad I didn't serve him coffee.” Changbun murmurs under his breath.
“I'm sorry y/n.” Chan says. “What's your plan now?”
“Plan? I don't have a plan to be honest. I don't know what to do.” You sigh.
“You can stay here until you decide what you want to do.” Jeongin smiles.
“Yeah, as long as you need.” Hyunjin agrees.
“I have nothing. None of my stuff. Ugh. I can go back for a few days. When he hangs out with his friends he's gone for days at a time.” You mention.
“Well here, take my number, call me when he comes back and we'll come over and help you get your stuff out.” Chan says, putting his hand out for your phone. You give it to him, just in time for Han to mention something fun.
“You can come to the party!” Han smiles.
“Party?” You ask.
“Yeah, we're having a party on Saturday.” Felix confirms.
“A party sounds fun.” You say. “A good distraction.” And that's just what you needed. Was a night away from real life, something to take your mind off of the issues in your life.
But nothing ever works out quite the way you hope it will, does it?

He’s never been in love, he’s sure of it. He’s seen what love is and how people act when they’ve found someone capable of being loved. This was not that, it was never that. It’s something much more– in fact, calling it love would be an insult to each other’s very existence. What he feels is so far beyond, that he’s not entirely sure he’s even truly been alive until you.
Like most vampires, Jisung longed to find his mate. Unlike most, he didn’t bother searching. Instead, he sat and waited, the logic being that if both of you were searching then you’d be chasing each other in circles, it was better to stay put. And hell– it worked.
The day you found him was like his heart was beating for the first time in forever. Jisung wished it could’ve been under better circumstances, meaning he wished he wasn’t hunched over like an animal and covered in blood. It wasn’t even the good kind of blood, that of an alcoholic he found passed out behind a bar. The ring on the man’s finger told him everything he needed to know and decided that this would be dinner.
Jisung could smell you before he could see you, your scent alone making him pull away from his meal to see the figure standing at the end of the alley– the light at the end of his cold, dark tunnel. Your hand was on your hip and a tilt of your head, already preparing to start scolding him on his eating habits. The thud of the drained body onto the pavement, less than a second to stand in front of you, the putrid stench of the tainted blood across his lips mixed with his saliva, you were sold.
“You’re making a mess,” you had told him, the faintest hint of a smirk playing on the corners of your lips.
“Then help me clean it up.” He’d thought it was charming at the time.
“Do I look like your maid?” You’d said as you raised your hand to his cheek, barely grazing his skin and his head leaning into it. The blood smelled nowhere near appetizing, sort of revolting, but you pressed your thumb to his bottom lip anyways, collecting some before gently pushing it forward without any necessary force. Jisung had let you in with no fight and fought the urge to moan at the weight of your finger on his tongue.
When you pulled away, his teeth lightly scraping your skin in resistance, “no… but you actually kinda look like everything I’ve been waiting for.”
“Still can’t believe that line actually worked on you,” he reminisced on the moment, lying comfortably still beneath you.
Not that he could see, you rolled your eyes, “didn’t have much of a choice, did I?”
Jisung laughed his ever so melodic laugh and held you tighter to his chest, “sorry, I don’t make the rules. You should consult with whoever wrote the vampire handbook.”
You sat up then, straddling either side of his slim waist and palms firmly planted on his chest. Jisung readjusted the pillow under his head and kept his hands there, gazing up at you with the fondest of eyes. It always mesmerized you how prettily they sparkled even in the dimmest light. “Your hair’s getting longer,” not thinking about it, you reach to brush the strand back from his face, tugging at the roots.
“That’s not what you wanna talk about.” Jisung’s hands reassuringly caressed your thighs.
“I always wanna talk about you.”
“And I love that. But ask me what you wanna ask me.”
Playing with his hair a little while longer, you let the courage build up to what it was you truly wanted to say. He let you use him like a stress ball, kneading and toying while taking all of the affection gratefully. “Do you ever wonder where we came from?”
“I don't remember the name of the hospital I was born at, but it was in Incheon–”
“You know that’s not what I mean.” His cheeky smile fell just a little as he relaxed further into your touch. All of his features softened as he read what he could from your troubled expression.
Jisung sighed, “I do wonder. I wonder what I would’ve looked like with gray hair, sulk for a little, then I thank whoever created us for letting me live long enough to find you.”
“I found you, remember?” You squished his cheeks in both your hands.
“And it took you long enough,” he replied with puckered lips. It was cute, you indulged him and softly met his skin with a gentle touch. How warm he was, only due to the ascending sun beaming through the window to heat his otherwise cold skin. Jisung sighed, holding you in place by the back of your neck to feel your contrast in temperature.
A slight twitch beneath your groin made you smile into the kiss, “I didn’t even do anything,” you tease against his lips.
“Do you have to?” Jisung giggled, playfully rolling you over to hover above your body.
He pulled away and did nothing but stare. Deeply, longingly, so full of sentiment that he was sure even the richest, sweetest blood in the world couldn’t make him feel this type of euphoria. You let go of his hair to trace a finger across his cheek, then thumb at his bottom lip the same way you did the first time you’d met. No intention other than to feel close to him, you dip your thumb into his mouth and swipe it over his tongue. Jisung closed his lips around the digit and watched the way your eyes darkened, though not necessarily with the lust he’s used to. There was something else you wanted to talk about, hoping to find it on the tip of his tongue.
Jisung hummed with encouragement, he knew you were doing this to keep him from speaking so you could voice your mind freely. “It’ll be one of us, sooner or later.”
Ah, that’s what this is.
“A hunter, a vengeful witch, some freak accident knowing you–”
“With’es ‘re ec’thinct,” he mumbled.
Pressing harder onto his tongue, “you don’t know that.” Jisung watched your eyebrows knit together for a split second before speaking again. “I’m just– I don’t know what I’d do… if I lost you.”
Slowly, he took your hand from his mouth and threaded it through his hair again, “they’d have to pry my undead body from yours arms if they plan to take me from you.” Jisung could see the anguish in your eyes at the mere thought of him being gone as he rolled you over, unable to fight the sadness from taking over.
“I’d rather die first.” As if all the air was stolen from his lungs, Jisung felt his paperweight heart squeeze like you’d stuck your hand in his chest in a lame attempt to resuscitate it. “I don’t want to know what it’s like to live without you.”
For the first time since you’d found him, he was at a loss for words– because he understood. He understood the hurt behind the fake scenario he knew was playing out in your head, as he felt the same way. He trailed the hand keeping yours in his hair down, brushing away the locks that covered your neck. As he dipped down to nibble at the supple skin, Jisung felt the wetness that fell. He kissed that away, too, all the way back up to your lips. There was no rush in the kiss, no urgency or carnality that usually fueled him. Rather, he wanted to revel in the electricity that never seemed to dim, letting it flow throughout his entire body and burned it into his memory. God, he loves your lips.
He mindlessly swiped away the remaining tears, a gentle reminder that he was here, and by no means other than an act of whatever god is out there, was he going to leave.
You, to put it simply, wanted to crawl into his ribcage and wear him like a shield. You wanted to be so close to him that your bodies fused and became one, never separating. Even the clothes you wore now felt like too much of a barrier, all but tearing his shirt by the back of the neck and tossing it aside. You couldn’t be mad when he did the same to you, then with your panties and his shorts until there was nothing but skin keeping your still hearts apart.
Jisung wanted so badly to worship you when he felt your hips bucking up into his thigh with a slick coating. And although you would never deny him the pleasure of sending you to see god herself with just his mouth, that wasn’t what you needed right now. Quick work of his fingers, you were whining and clawing from his scalp down his back, there would’ve been marks if that was possible. A pop of his fingers into his mouth, moaning at the taste, you wrapped your legs around his waist to move him along. He was trying to draw it out, make you slow down and appreciate the moment. Though they weren’t fleeting– thanks, immortality– they were precious, every single one. The many, many times he’s had you like this are all his favorites, genuinely unable to choose just one.
“Be with me,” he murmured, eyes locked on yours and unmoving. You pouted, chest hiccuping with need. “Just be with me right now.” As much as you wanted him, you knew what he meant.
To be loved is to be seen, to be understood, to be known and heard and changed. “I’m here,” barely a hair’s breadth of a whisper.
“You are, my loveliest. And I am, too.” Jisung kissed you again, a little more heat behind it now as he reached between your bodies to finally connect.
The first push of him past your entrance is always relieving, yet spiraling as it makes you want more in an instant. Deep groans emit from both of you into the kiss, though Jisung doesn’t move once fully inside. He lets the warmth of your cunt radiate throughout his body and then some. “You’re here,” he mumbles once, and then again as his lips fall to your cheek. He doesn’t say it for himself, but for your sake. It’s grounding, the simple words, like because it’s coming from his mouth that it makes it true.
And when his teeth rakes over where your pulse should be, your body tenses up with a shiver.
Oh, fuck being in the moment– you are the moment, and he’s inside you. There’s quite literally not a single thing that could compare.
Jisung sinks his canines into your neck, trying to keep from baring his fangs with excitement. “If you don’t move right now–”
You don’t get to finish threatening him before his hips are slowly pulling back and pushing in, slick sounding from your bodies with each slide. Your arms are wrapped tight over his shoulders, pressing him chest to chest as he attempts to keep himself in check by treating your neck like a chew toy. Not that you mind, the pain mixed with the pleasure is a gentle reminder that he’s the only one that could ever hurt you, the power he has over you.
He’s not timid, nor is he rough, though thrusting as though he wants to feel himself in your stomach. And he does, it drives him insane, taking a second from your throat to glare down at where he’s poking through your belly with each glide. It makes his eyes roll back and momentarily stutter. You use it to your advantage, throwing him to the side and frantically mounting him again.
The quick slide of your pussy down onto him had Jisung involuntarily bucking upwards, seeing the head of his cock so subtly bulge again. He almost came on the spot, if he’s being honest with himself. But you didn’t give him the chance to so much as catch his metaphorical breath when you began to grind yourself forward and back, swiveling your hips with a new kind of heat.
In a way, Jisung was a little embarrassed that you overpowered him so easily, though not at all surprised. You took from him what he refused to give you, and it turned him on beyond belief. But it also made him want to prove himself that much more– not that he necessarily needed to. The grip he had on your hips now, you knew what he wanted to do.
“Don’t you fucking dare,” you warned, and an audible whimper left him. You couldn’t help a laugh because he was so damn cute looking at you like you’d hung the stars for him. Without the human feature of exhaustion, you went to town on top of him, moving your hips in circles for a bit before ultimately leaning forward and slicking your hips up and down. Jisung met your lips halfway to tangle his fingers in your hair and hold you captive. That was, until he thought it was time for a position change.
Although you were physically stronger than him, you were at your weakest when he was kissing you, too in love with the feeling to focus clearly. Jisung caught you off guard, flipping your bodies again and tossing you into the pillows with a yelp. “Quit fucking around,” his timbre dropped, towering over you again with a sharper aura.
Jisung handled you into a position he knew you couldn’t get out of, on your side with your leg hitched in the air by his hold. He didn’t wait to plunge back into your wet cunt, picking up speed as he decided to instead press your top leg into the bed and expose you even more. You could do nothing but claw at his arms and chest, crying out as he hit deeper parts of you.
“You were so assertive before, baby. What happened?” He teased with a smirk. “You get a kiss and a dick in you and forget how to act.”
He wasn’t totally wrong, but you couldn’t use your brain even if you tried. Not that he was doing anything particularly special in terms of how he was fucking you– though it was still good as hell– you weren’t in the right state of mind since before you started. You were silently needy; physically, emotionally, mentally on every plane of existence, unable to put it into words. When domination fails, you succumb to being fucked the princess you are.
Jisung pressed his pelvis hard into your ass, kissing you gently whilst pinning your arms above your head. “Don’t you feel that, lovely?” His free hand trickled to your belly, pressing and nudging himself deeper into you. The whimper that escaped was enough for him to keep talking. “I don’t think we could be any closer,” he slid his hand higher to wrap around your throat, “don’t you feel me here, too? Is that why you can’t speak?” Your attempt to nod was endearing, kissing you again as he squeezed.
“Oh, I love when you’re in love. You do love me, right?” You nodded weakly. “No, no. You’re going to say, ‘I love you.’ Okay?”
Jisung pinched your cheeks together in his palm, lips puckering when you tried to speak, “love you so much, Sungie.” That answer appeased him, kissing you abruptly before shoving your face into the pillows.
“Yeah, you fuckin’ do.”
He leaned back, putting all his weight on his palms that caged your upper body against the mattress. Jisung kept one knee pinning your top leg to the bed and snapped his hips faster, harder, his version of mercy being that your hands were now free to grab him however you pleased. Did you ever need to, with the way you were almost being tossed up the bed from the force. His cock hit places that never failed to make you squeal and drool in ecstasy.
Prodding at a rather tender spot inside you, your walls clenched extra tightly around him, making Jisung’s upper body strength crumble. “Ah– fuck, fucking love you, too. Love you so much. Love this pussy,” his teeth found a home against your neck again, this time unable to fight the urge to sink his fangs into the flesh.
If you weren’t close before, you sure as hell were now. He scraped the sharpness over your delicate skin, letting goosebumps rise and your moans grow louder until you were begging for him to sink them into you. To claim you in a way that was reserved for only the most devoted of your species.
“Do it,” you pleaded with tears in your eyes, “for forever.”
Your reminder of how permanent this action was excited him, made him more desperate and more carnal than ever before. Drinking your blood was a sacred act that binds you together, the red string becoming a red knot made of a supernaturally unbreakable force. He dies, you die, and vice versa. Just the way you both wanted.
“Can’t live without you,” your voice, broken but truthful, he couldn’t deny you any longer.
“Won’t live without you,” Jisung corrected, and let himself divulge in the red taste of you.
Is this what heaven feels like? Warmth, safety, ardor, you felt every part of your being sync with his as your head began to feel light, body being overcome with a tidal wave of euphoria. The blinding white light behind your eyes faded, then there was Jisung. In every corner of your mind, every fiber of your body, he was there. What seemed like a vision of his hands reaching out for yours, tangled in the notorious red string. It was quiet, but something urged you to reach out to him and intertwine. You couldn’t see his face, but you knew it was him. So wonderfully strange, everything that was once a burden became insignificant as soon as your hands connected. What was once two separate beings became one, tied by the wrist.
Your eyes finally opened after what seemed like centuries. He was already looking down at you with pure adoration, stroking your cheek softly, just as out of false breath as you were. “I didn’t think you could be any more beautiful. I’m so glad to be wrong.”
“Why didn’t we ever do that before?” Jisung kissed your forehead, falling to the side without pulling out as he pondered your question.
“Honestly, I thought it was a load of shit– the whole soul-binding thing,” he held you tight against his chest, tucking your head under his chin as he massaged around the tender mark on your neck.
“So you felt it.”
“Fuck, did I feel it? I swear I saw us from some fuckin’ omniscient point of view. And can I say, we should do porn ‘cus we look good as hell.”
“Wait, what?” He had an entirely different experience, still supernatural, nonetheless. “You actually– what?”
“I’m serious,” Jisung peered down at you, not a single joking tone. “Like, time stopped. Or froze, I don’t know. It was a weird limbo thing, I don’t remember a lot of it. I bit you, then there we were… y’know. And there was something tied around my hands. I wasn’t really thinking– or my hands were moving by themselves. A– and you were there. I mean, I couldn’t see you, but I knew it was you.”
His words left you stunned, so different yet the same. You wished you could’ve seen what he did, but the indescribable sensation of his soul finding yours is irreplaceable. That’s how you explained it to him. Jisung was always bringing up how you’d first met, and you’d always say that you found him first. Except, he stayed still, waiting for you to make your way to his side of the circle.
The after effects of the intense moment left you mentally tired. Although you can’t sleep, you can close your eyes and let the comfort of Jisung’s arms soothe your lethargic mind. “Won’t live without you,” voice muffled by the skin of his chest.
“Well, now you really can’t, my loveliest.”

Shakespeare's Apprentice
Vampire!Hyunjin x human!reader
Warnings: One swear (kind of), vampires
"Soo.." I bit my lip nervously.
"What do vampires do exactly?" I asked, unconsciously bringing some of my hair over my shoulder.
"Stay out of sight, but you can see how that's going." Hyunjin chuckled, resting his head on his arm, turning to face me.
"Do you sleep?" He shook his head.
"Can you eat human food or-?" His lip curled up at that.
"We can, but it's not good." My jaw dropped.
"So, all of the times I cooked for you-" He perked up.
"Now, that was good. It reminded me of when I was human, your soup tastes like my mom's did." He smiled softly.
"Do you miss her?"
"Every single day. I stayed with her until her dying breath, she was a bit curious on why I hadn't aged, but..She never cared much about it." He chuckled a bit.
"Was it hard?" He shrugged.
"I think what helped was the fact she was my mom. I would hate myself for the rest of my life if I hurt her," He tilted his head to look at you, "or you." My heart fluttered and he smiled.
"Is it hard being around me?" I asked, turning to face him, although it was a bit difficult, due to us being in the car.
"Not at all. You're a breath of fresh air." I blinked, surprised at that.
"You're my mate, which means your blood has no appeal to me, only you do." I frowned.
"So, you wouldn't like me if I wasn't your- mate?" He shook his head.
"It's not that simple. A mate is..someone that we're tied to. It's someone that we protect, and that was..made for us? But not in a weird way..It's like..You know what a soulmate is, yes?" I nodded.
"It's like that."
"So we're soulmates?" He nodded at my question.
"Is it weird?" He asked, a bit self-conscious at the new ground he was treading.
"..Well, I mean, you are kind of a vampire, so besides the obvious, not really." He chuckled at my answer.
"'Kind of a vampire?'" I rolled my eyes at his teasing, gaining confidence.
"You know what I mean." He nodded, smiling.
"Your smile's pretty." I said without thinking.
"You're pretty." He replied, reaching out slowly, as if not to scare me, and grabbed my hand, holding it in his. I noted the temperature difference, but it somehow didn't bother me as much as I thought it might.
"Am I cold?" He asked.
"Yeah, but it's nice."
"You're really warm." He said.
"..Can I ask more questions?"
"Can I keep holding your hand?" I nodded.
"Then yes."
.
"What about kids?" I asked.
"I don't really know, I guess it's not impossible? But I'm not exactly an expert on the subject."
"How old were you when you were turned?"
"18."
"Do you know any other vampires?" He nodded.
"I have a coven."
"A 'coven?'" I tilt my head.
"We're basically a band of vampires." He explained in simple terms.
"Oh, right, duh, 'Twilight.' And a 'band?' Ooh, i'll buy tickets." He snorts at my lame joke.
"I'll get you a backstage pass." I smile.
.
"So, what do you do? I mean..I hope you don't do what the Cullens did." He groaned.
"Heck no, I think we'd kill ourselves doing that. I paint, and sell them online. Chris, our 'sire' or 'leader,' whatever he is, he produces along with Bin and Jisung, all online. Minho sells recipes and Felix does the same, but he's also a masked gamer on Twitch and YouTube. Seungmin is a masked singer, along with Jeongin, but both of them kind of dabble in their interests." I nod, entranced as he talks, and i think he notices based off his smirk.
"Don't make me wipe that smirk off." I warn.
"Don't threaten me with a good time." He teases back, smiling softly as he looked into my eyes. "They're gorgeous," he continues, "your eyes, I mean. The rest of you is beautiful too, but your eyes make me feel like i'm somewhere else..Like i'm," he struggled to find the words, "human."
"Ok, Shakespeare, don't go all poet on me." He laughed, leaning in.
"Forgive me, my love, I must have forgotten how small-minded you are."
"Oh really? I'll show you small minded." He laughed again as I struggled to open the car door.
"You may want to try unlocking it."
"I was testing you."
"Ah, of course." He didn't call out my lie as we both got out of the car from where we were parked in the riverfront parking lot.
"Is this how you change me, drown me and then sink your teeth in me." His eyes widen at my joke.
"I would never! But yes, drowning is typically the way we go." He said, obviously joking and making me roll my eyes. "One of these days, they'll get stuck up there."
"Damn, okay mom." He huffs, smiling, but it soon disappears as he looks up to the sky.
"What is it?"
"It's going to rain soon, we should head back, I'll drive you home."
"....Or..." He turns to me, his brow furrowing.
"What?" He asks as the first few drops fall onto the smooth rocks under our feet.
"..Well, and call me crazy if you must, but uh..We could dance." His face softens for a split second before he smirks.
"Who's Shakespeare now?"
"Uh, still you, babygirl. I'm just super-uber romantic." He smiles, walking to me and taking my hand in his, laying it gently on his shoulder, taking my other hand and interlacing it with his.
"Luckily, i am too." He smiles, and I swear my heart stops as he leans down, pressing our foreheads together.
"I'm glad I met you, Hyunjin." I say as we sway to the music that can only be heard in our hearts.
"I'm eternally blessed that you've chosen to grace me with your beauty."
"Someone call up Italy, cause I got Shakespeare right here."
"I take it back." He says, before kissing me softly.

Enemies to Lovers AU - Vampire Hunter! Bang Chan/Vampire Fem! Reader
"Stay," Chan said, holding up the holster. You held your win glass, "As you wish, hunter," you said, setting the glass down. Chan released the trigger, "You lured me on purpose. Why?" he asked, clutching the handle. You gave him a side, "I made a promise you see," you said, luring him close. Chan gulped, unknowingly inching himself forward, "What promise?" he asked, furrowing his eyes brows. A subtle smile etched your lips, "To my first love," you said, looking at him. You chuckled, "When you lived as long as me, hunter. You crave for things other than blood," you said, eyeing his wary expression. Chan clenched his jaw, "What's the fucking promise?" he grit, his voice wobbling at the end.
You held the holster away from your head, "Christopher, no matter what form you're in. You soul never changes," you said, hurt evident on your expression. Chan's breath hitched when you gripped the holster enough to bend the metal. You stood up, forcing him into a defensive stance. "I don't want to hurt you, my darling. I never did. But every single timeline we meet, you're always driven to kill me," you said, cornering him against the wall. Chan hesitated to pull out his daggers, "Stay back! Vampires falling for a human is unheard off," he exclaimed, his eyes filled with unknown hurt and fear. You held his cheek, "You felt it haven't you? When we met in that forest. I know you felt it, because I did," you said, hoping he wasn't in denial.
Chan's gaze wavered, "That twinge was from you?" he asked, his vulnerability apparent in his behavior. You shook your head, "I have no role in fate, Christopher. Please don't deny me this time. I can't live another decade hurting," you said, your eyes boreing into his. Chan exhaled a shaky sigh, "If I give in. What then?" he asked, gripping his thighs to ground himself. You gave him a solemn smile, "Then I get to love you as much as I possibly can. I get to pour every feeling I have harbored. Christopher, I craved you for decades. This obessession wouldn't fade out that easily," you said, your pressing your forehead with his. Chan felt himself get hypnotized by your words, "I'll give in. But if y-," he said, before you pulled him for a bruising kiss. Chan's lips synced with yours, he groaned into the kiss not liking the submission you placed him in. He pulled away and pinned you against the wall, "Relax, you've been waiting long enough," Chan whispered, kissing you long and deep. Tears streamed down your cheeks at the relief blooming in your chest. Chan deepened the kiss, his tongue mingling with yours.
NSFW BELOW CUT
'Dear Lord, when I get to heaven, please let me bring my man,' you thought, spreading apart your legs just for his satisfaction. Chan grabbed your ankle, and he pampered kisses down your calves, "Poor thing, you've waited so so long to be touched, haven't you? You've been neglected, and it's all my fault," he murmured, sucking hickeys towards your upper thigh. You arched your back, sensitive to every single graze and nip he made, "Please, Chris. I need you. Been needing you," you sniffled, eyeing him with your half lidded eyes. Chan's breath grew heavier, "I know, darling. I can feel myself throbbing for you," he chuckled, his hand pumping his girthy hot shaft. You gulped at the sight, your cunt clenching around the warm air surround the both of you. Chan tapped his cock head against your clit, "You're practically a virgin aren't you? So fucking drippy," he cursed, easing his finger in. Your walls fluttered, "Hah, hah," you gasped, remembering how good it was being pleasured by another. Chan grit his teeth, the veins on his jaw protrubed at the sight of your pliant body. You whined when he eased another finger up your pulsing cunt, "Chris, hah," you whimpered, clentching hard around his fingers. Chan curled them against your sensitive gland, "I'm here, darling. I'm never leaving you. Never again," he said, pumping his fingers in tandem with his thumb rubbing circles against your puffy clit until you came.

"My Soulmate"
SKZ -> Hyunjin x fem!reader
genre: slight angst, crack, vampire/soulmate AU wc: ~2,200 cw: none
summary: being kidnapped and brought to your vampire soulmate is something you never knew you needed... until now.
A/N: Hello again! Life's been crazy, and I've actually had this written since forever ago, so I decided to go ahead and edit and post it! Hope you enjoy :)
Alsoooo, I survived the Ticketmaster war and was able to snag some SKZ tickets to the Chicago show!!!
Happy Scrolling! | Masterlist
"Please be careful. That area is so sketchy, especially at night. Infested with those dastardly vampires, I'll tell ya."
"Mom, I'm fine. The bus station is only a mile down the road, and I'm almost there," you speak into the phone.
Your mom gives a disappointed sigh from the other end. "Sweetie, I've heard so many stories of girls going missing on that street. I really wish you would've listened to me and taken a different way home."
"I've always taken this way home from work; why are you so worried about it now?" The more you speak with your mom, the more paranoid you become. All the shadows out of the corner of your eye appear as humans, lurking behind buildings and in alleyways.
"Because a girl was killed just last week walking around down there, not to mention she was by herself. Just like you!" she screeches over the line. You have to pull the phone away from your head to protect your poor eardrums. "It was a gang that took them! What was their name again? Stray dogs? Stray... Stay? I can't remember."
"It's Stray Kids, mom. I'm sure they're not even around these parts anymore now that the cops are looking for them."
Too focused on your surroundings rather than the ground beneath you, you trip and fall over a large lip in the sidewalk. Your body hits the ground, and you immediately clutch your knee. Your legs are littered with scrapes and scratches, but your knee in particular has blood dripping down it. Pieces of dirt cover your skin, unpleasantly sticking to your wound and the oozing blood.
You startle from the sudden cold breeze you feel over your shoulder. You turn abruptly, hissing when your leg rubs against the ground. Another gust of wind brushes past your front, and you're quick to twist around again. Your heartrate picks up at the eeriness of the situation, your hands turning clammy.
Suddenly, a being materializes in front of you. A scream catches in your throat when another appears next to him. Both are dressed in normal clothing, albeit entirely black in appearance, the only color emitting from the two beings in front of you coming from their pale skin. It's almost sparkling under the glow from the streetlights.
They stand and stare for a moment, and the silence is palpable. As you make eye contact with them, you take notice of their eye color- a deep, fiery red. You feel as though you’re in a hypnotic state as you continue to stare into their eyes. Your surroundings become blurred the longer you look, and you begin to feel dizzy as the world around you begins to spin.
You can faintly hear your mom screaming at you through your phone, calling out for you with panic in her voice, but you can't seem to look away from the boys in front of you.
The dizzier you feel, the calmer you become. It's a weird sensation, feeling all your anxiety and fear just slipping from you. The last thing you see is the muscular man in front of you approaching before you close your eyes from the exhaustion. It came out of nowhere, but it's all-consuming as all thoughts leave your head, and you're left their laying limp and vulnerable.
~ ~ ~
Your eyes feel heavy as you open them, and the bright lights are blinding as they invade your vision. Reaching up to rub your eyes, you quickly realize that your arms are tied behind your back. Becoming aware of your surroundings, you feel the cool plastic chair beneath you. Looking down, you see the zip ties around each of your ankles, anchoring you to the chair.
You appear to be tied up in a cell of some sort. Black, solid bars seal you off from the outside of the room. The cell is small, only about 8 ft by 8 ft if you had to guess. The floor is nothing special, just some concrete. While you can't see much from where your seated in the corner, the room around you seems empty and cold. A desk sits in the middle with a few stacks of paper on top.
Your eyes tear up at your predicament as the memories of the men dressed in all black come back to you. Question upon question spring into your head; where'd they come from? Where'd they bring you? What do they want from you?
Your worries seem to multiply by the second, and you are filled with dread as you consider the possibilities.
You know you must look amess as sweat starts to pool on your forehead, not only from the temperature of the room but also the imminent danger present upon you. Tears stream freely down your cheeks as you desperately pull at the zip ties holding you hostage.
A door creaks open while in the middle of your struggle, and you freeze. Voices fill the open space, and your mouth runs dry at the thought of meeting your captor.
"I told you, we won't be getting our next shipment of blood for another couple weeks. You're just gonna have to hold off-" the voice cuts off as the man walks around the corner. He makes eye contact with you. He shares the same eye color as the men that took you, but you know from the facial features that this isn't the same one.
The man heaves a sigh, his eyes never leaving yours. "I've gotta call you back," he says before hanging up the phone. Without uttering another word, the man walks back out of the room, leaving you alone with your thoughts once again.
It feels as if hours have gone by the next time you hear the door open. This time, cries of pain fill the silent void. You become alert at that, straightening up in your seat. Curiosity fills your gaze as you’re welcomed with the man from earlier, this time accompanied by two more.
The two men are being dragged by their ears, which appears uncomfortable if the sounds of pain are anything to go by.
The man from earlier releases them once they are standing right outside your cell.
"Explain yourselves," he says, crossing his arms over his chest.
Both men start talking over each other immediately, making it impossible to understand either one. "One at a time you pabos!" he interrupts them, creating an uncomfortable silence.
The buff one, which you now recall as one of the accomplices to your kidnapping, gestures roughly to the other man. Taking this as his cue to explain, he begins, "We swear she's the right one this time!" His words are rushed as he gestures towards you.
"You're kidding," the man in charge says, bringing his fingers to grasp at the bridge of his nose. "We've already been over this. You two can't keep kidnapping women from off the streets just because you believe them to be Hyunjin's soulmate."
Your heart races as your brought into the discussion. Soulmate?
You've heard of soulmates, but only ever in fiction, like books and movies. From what you've read, vampires are the only beings who can initiate the soulmate bond. Thereafter, the human can feel the bond, as well.
Suddenly, the pieces fall perfectly into place as you consider all the factors. Materializing out of nowhere, the red eyes, the hypnosis. These guys are vampires. How you didn't put it together sooner, you're not sure.
The bravery you're hit with is astounding, and you can't hold yourself back from interrupting the conversation. "Who are you guys and what do you want from me?" The man's rambling stops as all three look to you.
"Hi..." the man rambling starts, "I'm Jisung, and this is Lee Know and Changbin. We've brought you here because we believe you're our friend's soulmate."
"Please just let me go. I promise not to tell anyone about this!" you plead. You don't know what being the soulmate of a vampire entails, but you surely don't want to find out.
"Oh, we can never let you go," the man in charge, Lee Know, answers. "You've seen us, experienced our presence. You either have to stay with us, or... well, we kill you. You can thank these idiots for that," he gestures to Jisung and Changbin. Jisung brings his hand up to the back of his neck, rubbing it awkwardly.
You let out a sob at the ultimatum. You don't want to stay here forever. You want to go home, shower, and complain to your mom about work. You want to call your best friend and talk to her about the cute guy that you saw. The thought of never being able to do those things again envelopes you with sorrow, and more prominently, fear.
"Please don't cry," Jisung says, his hands coming up around the bars of the cell. "We would never want Hyunjin's soulmate to be sad."
"Jisung, we don't even know if this is his soulmate," Changbin says, his gaze piercing the side of your face.
"I'll prove it to you," he says before running out of the room, the door slamming behind him.
"I swear, I will kill both of you if this isn't the right girl. You said that the time before this was the last, and I'm getting tired of hiding dead bodies," Lee Know tells Changbin.
The hair on the back of your neck stands up, and you suddenly really hope you are this guy's soulmate. While this doesn't sound like the greatest of situations, at least if you live you'll get a chance to escape.
Changbin and Lee Know talk amongst themselves, and your anxiety starts to build once more.
~ ~ ~
It feels as if hours have gone by the time there's movement outside your cell again. Changbin and Lee Know, having gotten tired of standing, had taken a seat on the couch towards the back of the room, busying themselves on their phones.
You're still stuck in the same position. You've been wriggling your hands around, but you've realized there's no use in trying to escape. The two men would surely notice if the zip ties came undone, and even if they didn't, you're still stuck in this cell. You don't know what lies outside this room, but you're scared to find out.
You finally hear the door swing open, and you recognize Jisung's voice, this time accompanied by another stranger. The two come into view, and your breath hitches in your throat when your eyes meet the man Jisung brought with him.
He is easily the most beautiful man you've ever seen. His eyes meet yours, and you're immediately captivated, unable to look away. It's a strange feeling, but you suddenly feel all the worry and fear being washed from you, leaving you with a feeling of peace and serenity. It's almost like you've known this man for years, the way he brought you immediate comfort in this unfamiliar place.
"My soulmate," he whispers, and at this point you can only assume this is the 'Hyunjin' they were talking about.
In the blink of an eye, he materializes in front of you, now inside the cell. He quickly brings his hands towards you, and you feel no fear. The dread that once filled your body is no more as you allow him to carefully undo the zip ties from around your wrists and ankles.
Tears still slip down your cheeks, but the emotional pain you once felt is no more. You're overcome with unfamiliar emotions, and the tears don't stop.
You feel as if you recognize Hyunjin from your dreams. Always the hero, saving you from whatever dangers are out there for waiting for you.
Once the zip ties are off, you immediately rise to your feet and reach out to hold him. He embraces you even tighter, his arms wrapping firmly around your exhausted figure.
"This is such a strange feeling, but I feel at peace now," you whisper to him, your head resting on his shoulder.
"It's because we're together. The soulmate bond, I initiated it, and you've accepted it," he whispers back. "We can be together now."
"Have I seen you before?" you ask, taking a step back to admire his beautiful features.
"Maybe in your dreams. I've visited you there before. I've known what you looked like for a long time. That's how these guys found you," he says, gesturing behind him to Jisung and Changbin.
"Yea, and it only took us two tries! Do you know how vague of a description I had to go off of?" Jisung complains.
"Because I didn't expect you to go out and try to find her!" Hyunjin exclaims, exasperated.
"Well, I figured since your birthday was coming up, I could do something nice for you. And it only costed us one casualty!"
"Which I'm still dealing with, by the way," Lee Know says.
"Yea, yea. I just had a gut feeling about it this time."

You’d barely looked at the text when there was a knock at your door. You hummed as you stood up. He was standing there, staring into the peephole of the door with bright red eyes.
You unlocked the door and swung it open.
He stood there, his eyelids heavy, his mouth half-open, his fangs peeking out from behind his lip. “Please let me in.” He practically whined.
You caressed his cheek, and his whine grew more desperate.
“Come inside, baby.”
He stepped into your apartment, and you locked the door behind him.
“Needy little vampire.” You whispered, brushing a piece of hair back from his face.
He didn’t need air, but a breath caught in his open mouth anyway, His eyes, still so red, gazed up into yours.
He didn’t say anything. He didn’t need to.
“Bedroom.” You patted his face. “Clothes off.”
He shut his mouth, his eyes still impossibly wide. “Can I—”
“I’ll think about it.” You raised your eyebrows. “I told you bedroom, and I told you clothes off.”
He nodded, obediently taking his shirt off as he walked towards the bedroom, exposing his muscled back and quite frankly unfairly big arms. You hummed in appreciation.
He lay facedown on the bed and wiggled off his pants, pushing his ass in the air.
“Fuck, baby, so good for me, such a little slut.” You crooned, reaching for your strap on in the drawer.
He looked over his shoulder. “Are you—” He cut himself off with a whimper.
“Aww.” You said as you tighten the straps around your waist. “Stopping yourself, such a good boy.” You could’ve punished him for his slip up, but it’s so much fun to reward him, to fuck him senseless and then ride him till he’s begging to bite you.
He swallowed audibly, and you knew his fangs were out. He was turned on, he was painfully turned on, and he wanted not only to cum but to drink.
You were gonna let him, but not before some fun.
You reached for your lube, dripping some directly over his hole. You carefully slid one finger in. He clenched around you, whining.
“Does my slut like that?”
“Mhm.” He managed to get out.
You moved your finger a bit before removing it and going back with two. “You’re just sucking me in, aren’t you, baby?”
You added a third finger, and Changbin starts practically shaking, his arms strong enough to hold him but the sensation so powerful it overrode all that.
Changbin was submissive, but you’d never guess it from how he looked. He was big, strong; he looked every bit someone who’d manhandle you in bed, throw you around and fuck you. A vampire who’d bite you with a hard control.
But since that first time Changbin had asked you to fuck him, you hadn’t been able to see him as anything other than a needy mess. And he bit you with the desperation and fervor of a disciple worshipping their god.
You loved fucking him.
You didn’t love him. You just fucked him through his heats, let him bite you. That’s as far as it went.
Never mind that you’d begun hanging out with your mutual friends more just to see him. Or that you’d showed up at his place one night drunk out of your mind to fall asleep on his couch, because you felt safe there. Or that he’d showed up at your place drunk out of his mind to sleep on your couch because his friends had ditched him and your address was the only one he could remember.
You loved fucking him. You didn’t love him.
A confused, pathetic moan interrupted your thoughts. He was looking over his shoulder, whining as your fingers idly circled his rim.
“Oh.” You simpered. “You want me to fuck you.”
“Yeah.” He whined.
“Can’t just leave my little vampire needy like this.” You lubed up your strap, holding it to his hole. “Can I?”
You slowly began to push into him, stopping after a few seconds to let him adjust. “Should I stop here?”
“No, no!” He cried, pushing his face into the pillow, trying to quiet himself.
“Aww, don’t muffle yourself, baby. I want to hear you.” You pushed another inch inside him, wrenching a noise out of his throat.
“Okay.” He whispered.
“That’s a good boy.” You thrust the entire remaining length deep inside him, and he groaned, his back arching as he pushed up onto you.
“Fuck, fuck… fuck.” He panted as you readjusted.
You waited.
He whined. “Can you…”
“Can I…” You mocked, jerking your hips just a bit. “Use your words.”
“Can you fuck me?”
“You’re gonna have to ask prettier than that, baby. I know you can do it.”
“Please?” He said breathily.
You moved your hips a little. “More.”
“Please. Please, please fuck me.” He pushed his hips back, trying to get deeper on your cock. “Please, need it, need— ngh!”
You began to fuck him hard and fast, pushing your hips into his at a few different angles before a strangled cry informed you you’d hit what you were looking for.
You throbbed as you fucked him, the stimulation on your clit and pussy turning you on, but not as much as the sounds you got out of Changbin.
He was perfect, your perfect good boy.
Your hand found his back, tacky from sweat, and pushed it into the sheets. He moaned, arching even further into you.
“Fuck, good boy, good boy.” You pulled out of his ass, ignoring the wiggle of his hips as he chased you, and took off the strap-on. You rolled him onto his back and pushed it back inside him, not even bothering to detach the straps.
He moaned obscenely. “Need you to— need you on my— need your—”
“So fucking needy.” You groaned as you positioned yourself over his cock. “You’re gonna stay there, stuffed full, while I ride you, and then you’re gonna bite me.”
His pupils were huge in his red irises as he nodded. “Yes, yes, yes, please.”
You sank down on his cock, letting out a small noise of pleasure. He really did have a nice cock.
And a nice face, and a nice personality…
You were not catching feelings for him. No fucking way.
You started bouncing up and down on his cock, ignoring both the dull ache in your legs and your racing thoughts.
It didn’t take long for that strategy to work. You were the dominant in this situation, and both of you knew that, but you began to beg. “Changbin, God, need to cum on your cock.”
“Please cum.” His hands found your hips, gently holding them. “Please cum, I wanna cum, too, in you, while I bite you, while I drink—”
You leaned over him, tilting your head to expose your neck, your artery, your rushing pulse.
“Bite me when I cum.”
“Yes.” He whispered.
You rode him a little harder, watching his abs tighten as both of you came closer to your release.
“Changbin… now, bite me now!” You moaned, your hole clenching around him as you came.
His fangs dug into your neck, and you moaned even louder, rode him even harder, your eyes fluttering shut as your hands searched for anything to hold onto, settling on Changbin’s huge arms.
It hurt, but it felt so good, so intimate, so close, the two of you joined in multiple ways.
He came, too, his warmth filling you up, his jaw closing harder on your neck, pushing his fangs still deeper, drinking still harder.
You gave yourself completely over to him, moaning as he drank his fill from your neck. You felt lightheaded, and you couldn’t tell if it was from your release or the blood loss. Probably a bit of both.
He carefully pulled away from your neck, the motion jostling his cock inside you. One of his thumbs brushed over the twin holes he’d made on your neck, and he leaned forward again to lick a thick stripe over them.
You could get used to the feeling of his tongue, you thought.
You leaned in to kiss him.
That wasn’t something you’d done before. In all your hooking up, you’d never kissed Changbin.
But here he was, full up with a strap on, you wrapped around his cock, his mouth full of your blood, kissing you.
Kissing you.
This was a bad, bad idea. You shouldn’t fall for one of your friends, much less if he’s a vampire. Much less when you’ve been hooking up with him through his heats for the past few months.
But for as wrong as it was, his lips felt so good.
You pulled away. “Can we try this?”
Changbin blinked, his eyes gone more brown now. “Hm?”
“Can we try, uh, us. Can we go on a date or something?”
He blushed, your blood filling his cheeks. Somehow, knowing that made it more attractive. “Yeah, I’d really like that, y/n.”
You gave a small laugh. “Good… are you still….”
He nodded, looking away. “As you, um, as you know, the heats last… some time.”
“I do.” You kissed him again, hard. “And I’m always happy to help, no matter how long that may be.”

The Final Chapter (Part Deux)
“Don’t peek!”
“I’m not peeking, I promise.”
“I don’t believe you.”
You press your fingers together firmly resting them against Chan’s eyes as you guide him past the large cardboard boxes that were stacked alongside the walls, a few sit on the floor in the middle of the bedroom. You’re penguin waddling behind him and end up almost tripping.
“Hey! You’re supposed to have hybrid coordination here!” You chide as he laughs.
“I’m a hybrid, I’m not Superman!”
You make a face, even though he can’t see it.
“What’s Superman got to do with your garbage coordination when your eyes are covered?”
Although Chan’s placement is perfect for the surprise, right in front of the bathroom sink and facing the mirror; he can’t help the dismay at your question and he grasps your wrist, slowly removing your hands as he turns to face you.
“You don’t know Superman has x-ray vision?” He almost looks hilariously disgusted with you.
“Syu-puh-man yourself into the mirror and look at all my hard work!” You mock as you spin him by his shoulders to the sink.
“Are you making fun of my acc--” Chan finally faces the mirror, but pauses instantaneously, barely recognizing the beast reflected in front of him. He hadn’t had such dark hair in ages.
“Do you love it?” You say with a wide grin.
“Little witch I--” he runs his fingers through the deep brown, black hair. It was textured in its naturally wavy state after being freshly washed and towel dried.
“It's been so long... I love it.” He shakes his shaggy hair out, his bangs falling perfectly on his forehead. He looks so innocent and unsuspecting like this, especially with his new color. “Do you know how difficult it was to keep that blue? God...” he scoffs, and you giggle as he wraps his arms around you. He’s wearing dark pajama pants, and you’re comfortable in an oversized gray tee and an extra pair of his sweatpants.
“Well, you’re welcome.” You smile as his embrace tightens and he kisses your lips once, twice, before nuzzling his nose into the fine hairs that had escaped the front of your scarf, right by your ear. His breath tickles your jaw and neck.
“God I’m so glad you’re back.” he murmurs into your skin.
You can hear the pain in his voice. The whole lot of you were traumatized from the entire ordeal. Others carried this weight near-seamlessly; Hyunjin being at the top of that list if it were to be listed from best to worst at displaying a false mask of composure and balance.
It had been a little over a week since you and Jisung made it back from purgatory. Other than the gaps in knowledge that Hyunjin had about modern living, he appeared to be coping alright. He remained to himself, or in Felix’s study.
The next best person at hiding their trauma was, you guessed it, Felix.
He isolated himself, so he only truly had to keep his cool for brief moments in the company of others. You two had a few private conversations over the last few days. Sometimes, you’d notice his eyes glass over as he would disassociate. When asked about it, he would firmly insist he was alright and just dealing with the emotional aftermath of the incident, in such a self-aware way, that it would easily ward off any further intrusive questions.
Chan was where the scale began to tilt. Not only was he coping with the situation in his own, unique manner---he was also coping with the fact that he was going to be a father, in the most impossible of ways, and he was feeling all sorts of emotions he hadn’t felt in an extremely long time; and quite a few he had never felt at all prior to now.
It was Chan who pioneered the decision for them to move out of the estate they had been on for hundreds and hundreds of years. Through an old mutual supernatural friend of he and Jisung, they had secured a home on several acres about 4 hours away. Chan agreed to it right away, without even viewing it. He simply wanted to uproot the household and mask their whereabouts as swiftly as he could.
As far as he was concerned, you all could collectively figure out a forever home after the child arrived. The safety of all was his top priority.
He kept his ability to bring the spirits of others up, but he barely honored his daytime deaths, instead opting to stay up and vigilant. The events were trying on his psyche, and sometimes he would break, at night. You’d hear him crying, softly; sometimes you would feel what felt like a kick in your stomach (though according to mortal fetal development cycles, you were far too early to be experiencing such phenomena). It would wake you from your slumber and you’d sluggishly crawl across the bed to where he sat on the edge. You would wrap your arms around him, and hug him tightly, kissing the back of his head as he cried. Oftentimes you would cry too, but you would bite back your sobs, your nose pressed against his silken hair as you’d grip him tighter still.
Not only was Jisung’s ability to conjure severely affected by crossing the lines between the dead and the living an added time—he was experiencing a strange bout of dizzy and fainting spells that Felix was still trying to get to the bottom of. Until he was back to his full health, Chan didn’t feel comfortable allowing him to be alone at his home. Without the level of conjure he held prior, Felix also noted that the protection around the perimeter of his home might have new vulnerabilities.
Jisung refused to leave the guest room unless it was necessary. He felt extremely vulnerable the way he currently was and busied himself sick trying to find a solution alongside Felix.
You hadn’t escaped psychologically Scot free yourself. You suffered from nightmares of an unknown origin that you were trying to keep under wraps from the others. When Chan would ask why some days you would wake up in fear, nearly springing from the sheets, you simply blamed it on PTSD; which was half true.
The other half of the truth was that in the nightmares, you couldn’t see much, it was as if you had been blindfolded. You always heard the same two muffled voices, but it never became clear enough to decipher. What was ingrained deep within you from the visions was the fear and hopelessness that you felt. It was as if everyone had abandoned you, all at once. The darkness was overwhelming and began to make you feel so trapped you’d grow sick to your stomach, oftentimes, the nausea carrying over into your waking life.
Today was no exception. At the break of Dawn, you feel yourself growing groggy. You had been more tired than usual, but of course, this was how things went for pregnant women, right? It didn’t feel misaligned, the symptoms you carried. You fall asleep, feeling the peace of your body being put to rest. Yet what feels like only mere moments later, you blink your eyes open and see darkness.
You feel the rough fabric that’s tied tightly over your eyes. Your heart rate quickens, and you strain to hear the exchange of voices happening right in front of you.
‘...onl...ay’
‘br...a...store....power’
You capture a full word for the first time since your nightmares began.
Power
---
You end up getting a bit more rest than you had expected, which was a welcome recharge to your system. You don’t mention the context of your nightmares, or the full word you managed to catch last night. It would only make Chan more protective, Felix more curious, Hyunjin more stressed, and Jisung more terrified. You could tell everyone, hell even yourself included, were waiting for the other shoe to drop. Chan had told you in the entirety of his life, he’s never felt safe, things have never been normal. Ever.
So, for now, you keep your mouth shut and enjoy the cool, night breeze on your face as you have your passenger side window rolled down. You smell the Northeastern Atlantic Ocean shores, only yards away, the moonlight reflecting off the moving water. As Chan drives further, the tree line gives you brief glimpses of the ocean, but it’s clear, you’re heading far in the opposite direction of it. The forestry thickens and you soon smell damp moss and rotting wood more than the coastal sealine.
Hyunjin is sitting in the backseat, also staring out the window, his facial expression blank. He couldn’t shake off the feeling of being trapped in a world he didn’t understand.
“So, this is it? This is where we’re going to live?” Hyunjin asks, with a hint of sarcasm.
Felix, who’s sitting alongside Hyunjin in the roomy SUV, speaks up. “It’s a roof over our heads. It’s a start.” He replies coolly.
“We’ll make it work, Hyunjin.” Chan says, glancing in the rearview mirror at his fire-haired brother. “We always do.”
“We’re a family. We’ll figure it out, together.” You add softly.
Hyunjin doesn’t reply, but the tension in his shoulders relaxes slightly. You all drive in silence for a while, each lost in your own thoughts.
Finally, Chan breaks the silence as the car slows down on the dirt road. “We’ve been through a lot, but we’re all here now. We’re going to make a new life for ourselves. We don’t really have a choice but to move forward now. “
“Anyway then, here we are.” Chan twists the keys in the ignition and the low rumbling of the engine stops. It’s so silent, you could hear a pin drop at least a mile away. You lean forward, glimpsing the large, Victorian style dwellings. Your eyes are immediately drawn to the thick vines that seem to be growing out of every crevice. The moonlight casts an eerie glow on the overgrown plants, making the house seem almost...alive.
You can feel the discomfort in the car as Chan, who was driving, and Jisung, who’s in the backseat, exchange a look of concern. You can see the dust on the windows and the cobwebs in the corners of the house.
As you step out the car with everyone else, you can’t shake off the feeling of unease. The house seems ancient, and it’s clear that it hasn’t been lived in for a long time; but Chan and Jisung’s friend had assured them that it’s a safe location, and you trust them.
You try to put your feelings aside and focus on the task at hand, but as you walk up the creaky front steps, you can’t help but wonder what kind of secrets this old house holds. Chan wriggles the knob, expecting it to open, but to no avail.
“Hold on.” Jisung emerges, wrapping his slender fingers around the rusted knob. Without turning, you can hear the locks inside of the door turn slowly, as if there was someone on the other side. The way it opens, dust falling from the frame, you begin to second guess this decision to yourself once more.
“There’s no way you sprung me to live like this...” Hyunjin says, walking inside and glancing at the peeling paint on the walls. The rooms are large and empty, with no furniture anywhere. The floors are wooden, and a dark, cocoa color.
“Brother, we’ve lived in worse.” Chan says, his hands in his pockets as he walks forward, looking up and surveying the large chandelier that hovers in the foyer. He looks down at the rug underneath his feet and taps the spot with his toe.
“This is a recipe for a D-List horror movie accident just waiting to happen.” He notes as you join him underneath, slipping your arms around his waist, squeezing the fabric of his fleece jacket between your fingers as you also look up at the chandelier.
“It's almost a full moon.” You say with a grin, kissing him and moving on to explore the rest of the house yourself.
“Yeah?” Chan follows behind you, now that you’ve piqued his interest.
“Yeah, you get really paranoid about things the closer it gets, I’ve noticed....” Your voice trails off as you run your hand over an old hallway display cabinet. Dust clings effortlessly to your fingers, and you brush them against one another to scatter it away.
“You don’t think there’s any way Edith could like...come back, for me...or the baby, or anything, right?” You blurt.
Chan’s brow furrows. “No. We sealed her soul in purgatory, little witch why—does this have to do with your nightmares?” Chan’s gears begin to shift as he puts two and two together.
“No! I--” You look around before lowering your voice, “No, I’m just still afraid. Can you blame me? I barely got out alive, and now I have to keep myself and this...thing alive--”
“This thing? That’s my child that’s...our child.” Chan’s voice softens. He realizes his fuse is shorter around the Full Moon and tries to maintain control. He normally doesn’t let it slip, but he was feeling out of sorts the last few days. “You let me worry about keeping you, and our child, alive.”
You’re a little taken aback at his tone, but you blame it on the oncoming Full Moon. The last one didn’t go as well as it should have, and after everything, his body and emotions were tense. He seems to notice the shift in your demeanor and runs his fingers through his dark hair, now styled back slick and straight. He sighs as he places both hands firmly on your upper arms.
“All of this, its gonna take some getting used to for me, for you, for everyone here. She could be a vampire, a witch, a wolf, or all three. My father was a hybrid, and I came out as a wolf. There’s no rhyme or reason to this it's just...a wildcard, really. It’s a wildcard. I feel like I’ve been given a second chance to get it right this time.”
You can feel the neediness in his voice, you see his eyes, begging, pleading for you to understand him, to validate his reasoning, experience and existence.
Your big, bad wolf.
“Did you say...she?” You tease.
He’s caught off guard as you laugh at his expression.
“Did I? I said she? Did I really?” He asks in disbelief. “I didn’t even notice.”
“Do you want a little girl? Do you think you can handle that?” You say with a cheeky grin.
“No, absolutely not! That’s why I can’t believe I said it!” He touches his lips and looks at his fingers, as if the answer would be splayed on the tips.
“Hey lovebirds, it’d be nice to have some hybrid strength for some of these boxes, yeah?” Jisung slaps the doorframe that he’s looking out from behind as he hoists his box higher against his body to get a better grip. He takes it into the living room and sets it among the other boxes that Felix and Hyunjin had managed to use their unnatural speed to build up.
They didn’t bring everything from the old house, only enough to be able to live comfortably for a little while. The family estate was in their name and would always stand where it was built; but that area couldn’t be considered secure. People over the centuries had been guests, although there had been no disturbances, folks in certain circles close enough knew where they laid themselves to rest.
You were barely pregnant, and certainly felt strong enough to help. Your speed wasn’t up to par like theirs, nor was your coordination, but you had little boosts every now and again. You glance into the trailer attached to Chan’s truck. Figuring out that you could carry a box or two, you grasp one and make your way back up the creaky stairs and into your new home.
Chan’s about to approach you, to chastise you for doing too much, when Felix stops his brother, arm across his chest.
“Let her do something for herself, you can’t control everything, brother.” The white-haired vampire murmurs in an intimate tone. “You’ll drive yourself mad trying and drive her away in the process.”
Chan takes a few steps back, watching as you set the box down in the middle of the room and stand up, feeling more winded than you usually were. You shake it off and head back outside to join the others.
“I can’t escape the notion that something isn’t right, brother.”
Chan crosses his arms across his chest, the sleeves of his deep navy fleece jacket rolled up to his elbows as he stands beside Felix, near the staircase in the foyer. Hyunjin zips back and forth so fast, only the sound of his rustling clothing and dropping boxes can be heard. Jisung is struggling to carry heavier boxes, to get you to not worry about them. You find yourself stumbling along Jisung, trying to capture the other end of the boxes that were too heavy for him alone to conquer.
Felix watches everyone too, his arm resting against the wooden, curled start of the banister.
He wants desperately to disagree; but the brothers knew how their undead lives worked. Now they had a pregnant witch descendant of one of the most powerful clans in the world in their midst.
Felix chews the inside of his lower lip as his brain begins spinning the webs it always spun when it came to strategizing. He answers his brother, barely above a whisper.
“It’s not.”
Chan glances over his shoulder at his younger, pureblooded vampire brother. “Has something been ailing you?”
“The bloodlust.” Felix never takes his eyes off you all milling about, despite Chan boring holes into the side of his skull. “Normally I keep myself well fed, the blood of a witch, the blood of your little witch, it’s tempting but...” Felix’s gaze breaks as he glances down at the floor. His index and thumb rub against one another anxiously.
“The reason Hyunjin and I have stayed out of the way isn’t because of what happened. Well maybe, possibly for him but the bloodlust, it just feels almost out of my--”
“Shit!”
You wince, ripping back your hand from the edge of the box where you had just accidentally sliced the side of your palm with the box cutter. The box cutter clatters to the ground as you grip your wrist, sucking in air through your teeth. You’re pinned suddenly to the ground and look up to see Hyunjin’s eyes, an emblazoned amber, his sclera an ugly shade of blood red as he breathes heavily.
There’s no time to embody enough strength to let out a terrifying scream, as Hyunjin's body is violently propelled across the room and Chan is kneeling beside you, breaking the skin on his wrist and lifting your head enough to feed you his blood. You drink, chest still heaving with adrenaline as you observe Felix, holding Hyunjin up by his fingers tightly enclosed around his throat as the youngest brother thrashes against the wall. The wound on the side of your palm closes itself up as you close your eyes from the sights of it all and continue drinking.
Jisung’s hand lay against Hyunjin’s forehead like a priest performing an exorcism. With nothing but pure, ancient magick, Jisung sends a voltage-like stream of energy through Hyunjin that immobilizes and renders him unconscious; and afterwards, he crumples to the ground, powerless. Felix flits away in the blink of an eye, Hyunjin over his shoulder.
As Chan is overseeing everything and allowing you to heal, he suddenly feels a sharp stab from your mouth.
“Hey, hold on a sec...” He coaxes you from the blood spilling from his wrist, and he looks closer at your teeth, covered in blood and saliva, as you breathe heavily from the consumption of power. The tips of your canines were thinner, with a sharper tip. You had felt overwhelmingly in need of his blood for a while now, and you didn’t know what cravings you were dealing with until you had tasted it like this once more. You were dizzy with how good it felt. It soothed a need inside of you.
“Your teeth, little witch--” Chan says in disbelief and concern as he glances over to Jisung, still unconscious on the floor. In a split-second decision, Chan crawls quickly over to Jisung, placing his head into his lap and re-opening his wrist wound to feed Jisung and hopefully bring him back. You’re busy licking the blood from off your lips and fingers as you quietly watch them. You feel feral, but not in a good way. You feel impulsive, and your emotions are now rising to an uncomfortable place.
Jisung stirs awake groggily, coughing and spitting the excess blood on the floor as he pushes himself up to sit and look around, regaining his breath once more.
“Shit how long was I out for?” he asks Chan as he’s helped back up to his feet.
“A minute, maybe two at most.”
“What the hell was that? That wasn’t normal bloodlust, veins were popping out of his skull, he was being consumed by something else entirely.”
It's just like Jisung getting back to normal immediately after falling unconscious.
“It could be because of the baby, or how long he’s been in purgatory Jisung, I don’t know.” Chan drops his hands to his side in confused exasperation as he kneels next to you, helping you to your feet. Your carnal desires had weakened just a bit now that the aftershocks were settling in. You feel the fuzziness in your brain returning to clarity once more.
Felix is coming back down the stairs, and the four of you gather in the living room. He wipes blood from his fingers with his handkerchief as if it were a kitchen condiment.
“Little Witch, I need you to be honest with me, yeah?” Felix asks, looking directly into your eyes. “Have you experienced anything strange, or off since you’ve been back? Any foreboding feeling, visions, nightmares, hallucinations, cravings?”
You instinctively want to start out by lying, but with Felix’s ability to sense the shifts in your circulatory system; and Chan’s capability to literally smell your fear, you answer honestly.
“I’ve been having trouble controlling my powers and experiencing intense mood swings,” you admit, wringing your hands nervously. “I keep dreaming about being held hostage and hearing voices, last night they said ‘Power’. And to top it off, I’ve been having these cravings, like...I need to consume something that I know I shouldn’t.”
Chan doesn’t add that he witnessed fang like projections from your canines earlier. He decides to leave the others in the dark about it. You’re grateful, unaware of what it could mean for you.
Felix and the others exchange a look of concern, knowing the implications of what you just revealed. They were all well-aware of the dangers that came with pregnancy for a witch, especially when the witch in question was carrying a child of an unknown species.
“We need to keep a close eye on you, Little Witch,” Chan says firmly, his arm coming behind your waist from the side to pull you in. “We need to make sure that you and the baby are safe.”
“I don’t feel safe in an unprotected house, no matter what Minho told us.” Jisung says as he walks around the perimeter of the living room, observing the cracks in the walls, little scratches here and there.
Minho...
That was the first time you’ve ever heard that name before.
“He’s all the way in Russia, I don’t even know why you involved him in our mess.” Felix retorts. He’s now extremely cautious about what family friends they decide to include so closely into their lives. Anyone who joined them were at risk of death in any number of gruesome ways with the danger they attracted.
“You know the Lee family has safeguard housing up and down the East Coast, who else could deliver us enchanted real estate in a week’s time? Besides,”
Chan looks around, “Now nobody in America knows where we live.”
-----
The night before the Full Moon, the night of the Waxing Gibbous moon, progresses, and Jisung is busy using as much of his power reserve as possible to help with protection incantations and conjure to at the very least, make you all undetectable for a solid 3 weeks. With some rest, he could add catch-em's throughout the woods, to signal if anyone was encroaching upon them, and trap them until someone could investigate.
Three weeks would allow the brothers the time to procure a witch of substantial power to drain for the purposes of Felix and Hyunjin helping Jisung to finish the task. You didn’t allow yourself to use unnecessary magick until you could figure out what was going on with your body.
The energy of tomorrow’s Full Moon hangs heavily in the air, which was causing your powers to become increasingly volatile.
It turns out that you weren’t the only one becoming volatile.
The next night, you experienced not one nightmare.
Nothing.
In fact, you sleep quite well, the best you have had in ages. The large, four post bed in the room you and Chan chose is old, with its elaborate gold metal headframe but didn’t have a foul smell and had been covered with plastic. When you further examined the 6, close to 7-bedroom house, you discovered some rooms were furnished, and others left bare.
The loud bangs and clattering were what startled you awoke, followed by muffled voices yelling argumentatively. This house isn't as modernized as the former. The thick, heavy curtains that blocked out sunlight did the same for the moon and stars, unless you physically drew them back. The old place had fancy electronic drapes that rose and fell at the precise moment of sunrise and sunset.
You reach out and turn the bedside lamp on, rubbing your eyes as you stumble over to the curtains and draw them. The moon hangs high in the sky, big and full. You ran to the top of the stairs, clenching your robe closed, as you had little time to get yourself together.
Underneath the central chandelier in the foyer was the large wolf with fur blacker than souls that stir in the dead of night. Scraps of fabric were strewn on the floor, along with quite a fair amount of blood spattered along the walls and carpet. The wolf crouches down, readying for a predatory launch.
“Chan!” You shriek impulsively, covering your mouth when his yellow eyes snap at you, standing atop the staircase. He growls, a snarl from deep inside of his chest, and then he blows air from his nose, almost like a sneeze, backing up two paces with a whine before he’s off, out the broken front door at a speed far faster than an average wolf could manage, and into the night.
You run down the stairs and out onto the porch, but to no avail, he’s already out of your sight. The sounds of coughing and boards falling and creaking are what alert you to Hyunjin as he climbs out of the hole in the front porch, shaking the crumbled dirt and dust from his crimson locks and brushing his plum-colored button up, tucked into his black slacks.
“Well, that was a very rude way to say ‘no’.” he tilts his head to the right ever so slightly, and you wince from the crack that results from the realignment of his spine. “I guess I forgot how strong he was.” he murmurs to himself as he adjusts the cuffs of his sleeve around his wrist.
“Hyunjin, what the fuck happened to you last night? You nearly killed me, and the baby!” Your anger explodes in that moment, but didn’t you have every reason to? If bringing Hyunjin back means you were in more danger than before then maybe you were the only one capable of doing something about it...
You stop in your tracks from approaching him and physically shake your head to get rid of those awful thoughts.
You didn’t mean that.
Why did that even come up intrusively into your mind?
“You’re feeling it too, aren’t you, pretty witch?” Hyunjin hasn’t flinched from his spot, simply placing his hand into his pocket. He looks amused. “I’ve never seen you so fired up like this before. I kind of like it on you--”
You take in your breath and hold it to stop yourself from saying something impulsive.
“Hyunjin, think about what Chan can do to you, and magnify it by 300, I will wear your fucking insides as mardi gras beads if you don’t tell me what the fuck is going on—right—now.”
“You don’t have to sweet talk me that like to get information out of me, besides, I don’t know what the fuck is going on, alright? Christophe seemed to have transformed against his will and now he’s God knows where in this area none of us know anything about.” Hyunjin says crossly with his unique sarcasm.
“And I didn’t attack you on purpose, alright?” his demeanor shifts as he glances away, and you sense a little...worry? Sadness?
“I keep having these fucking...flashbacks of being sealed away. Those first few hundred years...I fought every, single moment I breathed. I – I bled out so many times, and would black out, only to come back impossibly weaker—forced to fight again, and again--”
“Hyunjin, I--”
You wordlessly bring him into a hug and his body stiffens at first, he doesn’t reciprocate.
“Pretty witch I can’t--”
His hands come up to embrace you in return.
“Pretty w-witch--”
His hands are quivering on your back, and you feel wetness seeping into your shoulder that makes you pull back and see the saliva dripping down his jaw, his fangs full and bright, needle sharp, just like Felix’s as he fixes his stare blankly ahead at nothing, his body beginning to slowly rock. He looks like he’s fighting a possession.
“Run.”
You take off down the porch stairs and into the woods.
You glance back as you run, the robe catching on the tree and ripping from your body. You manage not to stumble, but as you’re not paying attention, the remains of a hollow dead tree strike a gash in your shin that makes you cry out, hunched over, trying to keep some distance between you and whatever these wild creatures that you knew as close friends, family even, had become. This wasn’t them. You had to be hallucinating. You were in some nightmare. You stand to your feet again and come face to face with Felix’s hungry eyes.
“Are we playing a game, little witch?” he asks in a lively manner, with a disarming show of his teeth in an innocent grin.
“I win.”
Felix’s lips close, then turning into a smile that reaches his eyes, before he grips you up, his lips pressing against your neck, your pulse racing as you squirm against him, trying to manifest your strengths, your capabilities, your power.
“You smell like pure moonlight.” He says after taking a big whiff of your skin before you feel needlepoint fangs puncture your artery while you feel an icy heat emerge from your fingertips and onto his thigh that you were gripping behind your body. Felix yelps in pain, mutters mumbled profanity, and you hear the breeze through the branches as he disappears into the night.
You’re gripping your neck as its spurting blood all over the ground beneath you and you fall to your knees. You want to be strong; you want to cry out for help, but you blackout from the blood loss and pain from the venom, your body hitting the forest floor.
-------
“--manifesting differently in all of us--”
“-- dead!”
“--sealed her soul, you didn’t--”
You groan as you groggily open your eyes to see yourself back in the four-post bed of your room.
“She’s awake.” Chan exclaims at your bedside. You tilt your head to look at him and then sit up a little more.
He’s all human. All there. He’s cleaned up and well-dressed, which was a stark contrast to the beast you laid eyes on before you passed out.
You passed out.
You touch the side of your neck, but feel the skin totally healed. You move your head back and forth and feel no pain before you spot Felix sitting at the foot of your bed. Jisung is seated at an old desk to the right. Hyunjin is leaning against the window, staring up at the moon that continued its cycle regardless of what happened down here. It's a waning gibbous; at least the energy of the full moon had passed. You feel calmer, and the energy between the boys is subdued.
“Good, you’re awake.” Felix says as he lifts his head to look at you.
“First of all, about last night—I lost control of myself in ways I haven’t felt in hundreds of years. I can only remember what even happened through Jisung bringing my memories back. The last thing I remembered was Jisung and I in the woods, figuring out the lay of the land, and then, I smelled blood...I didn’t just, smell blood, I heard voices in my head. Collective voices like a swarm of bees, all telling me to follow it. The entire time I was fighting impulse and I couldn’t stop myself. I remember feeling a stabbing pain in my leg, and I tasted your blood on my lips and ran as far as I could with what little control I had.”
You listen to him, remembering what you could of the chilling events that occurred last night. The way he smiled at you, so friendly, so unassumingly, he could’ve taken candy from a baby with no consequence. This was only moments before he ripped a hole in your carotid artery.
“I’m sorry.” He murmurs.
“At least I gave her a warning.” Hyunjin shrugs as he continues to watch the trees blow in the wind.
“You call telling her to run headfirst into her death a warning?!” Chan snaps as he stands up, the chair he’s in scraping back against the floor with the haste of his aggressive movement.
You remember the conversation you had with Hyunjin last night before he told you to run, and you tug at Chan’s hand, shaking your head, signaling for him to stand down. He sighs as he reaches between his legs to pull the chair back and sits back down.
“How are you feeling? Is anything different?” Chan asks.
He wants to know about the baby.
“I’ve never been pregnant before but, I feel okay—a little tired but, nothing too crazy.” You grunt as you push yourself all the way up. “I guess this is what you meant by us never being safe, huh?”
Chan exchanges a glance with Felix, who stands to his feet.
“I don’t think there was a way to prevent this from happening, I don’t even know how it all works yet....”
You cling to each word as Felix speaks.
“I have a theory that Edith had a counterspell on her earthly remains. If they were ever to be destroyed, a curse is set loose to reign hellfire on those responsible, bringing out the worst in all of us. I don’t feel it at all today, neither do any of the rest of us. It must somehow work with the Full Moon.”
“Meaning its wolf-based?”
“There are other important things that happen during the Full Moon that don’t involve us.”
“I knew it! I knew she wasn’t gone!” You shove the blankets off of you as you stand up in anger, interrupting their discussion. You look at Chan. “You told me she was gone, you told me there was no way she could come back--”
“She is gone, and she won’t come back.” Hyunjin’s voice cuts between the room’s tension.
“If we can break the curse.”
End.

[A/n: Please read the prologue first it will make more sense lol]
Waking up the next morning feels like hell. Everything hurts from the bruises on your neck to the throbbing pain coming from your core, you’re not even sure if you can get up, your lower half especially hurting, and the feeling in your legs is numb but the ache that is settled in your bones reminds you of the pain you endured last night, all of this makes you think how you may need to call out of work but you know you can’t because you need the money if you’re ever going to even get close to escaping this hell hole.
You know that even if you do manage to get the money to leave Sungwoo would come up with some outrageous reason why you can’t, like the time he threatened to kill himself if you left just as he’s done many times before, and if he doesn’t try to guilt you then you know that he may try to hurt you or blackmail. You still remember what he did to you one of the last few times you've told him you were going to leave, he blackmailed you with nudes and videos he'd taken while he took advantage of you, you’re aware he has many of both your least favorite pictures he has of you are the ones where he's written degrading words across your body and the ones where he has you tied up in rough, scratchy ropes, but you hated the videos he has more than any photos he may have, many of said videos are close-ups on where he shoved his dick into you or where you’re sobbing and he believed your tears were ones of pleasure. When you told him you didn’t care and that he could go ahead and post them he stormed off to his room before returning and swinging a metal bat at your legs fracturing them, you vividly remember the guttural cries that left your throat as he repeatedly brought the bat down on you, you remember trying to crawl away from him using your forearms to drag yourself away and you recall the evil grin on his face when he dragged you back by the ankles turning you over so you were on your back and gripping onto the roots of your hair making your scalp burn in pain, “Sorry but you aren’t going anywhere.” You remember him spitting out at you before he quite literally spat on your face, tearing off your clothes unbuckling his belt and pulling down his jeans. You remember how after he was done he left you there in the entryway leaking his unwanted cum, legs broken, and bruises littered all over your body. Even just thinking back on that memory makes you feel ghost pains of what happened that day, you also remember how he never even bothered to bring you to the hospital so you ended up healing incorrectly.
After finally getting off of your bed you slowly make your way to your dresser to pull out some clothes for work, you want to make sure you cover your bruises well enough, you struggle getting dressed thanks to the bruises on your ribs and the persistent ache of your body, you carefully sift through your dresser and pull out a cream turtle-neck sweater, you slip your arms through the sleeves and pull it over your head albeit slowly and painfully, afterwards you open another drawer and grab out a black pencil skirt, this time you struggle much more to slip it on you can’t bend without feeling immense pressure all over your body but after a few moments you manage to slip it on, lastly you grab a pair of black tights and you have to sit down before you can put those on, once you’ve managed to fully cloth yourself you walk out of your room as quietly as possible so you don’t catch the attention Sungwoo, unfortunately for you he was waiting outside your room for you when you opened the door. You stand there stiff as you can praying he ignores you but that is far from what happens because he looks up from scrolling on his phone and stares at your stiff figure, he smiles at you in an unsettling way, slipping his phone into his pocket and approaching you, you stay perfectly still as he stands in front of you, “Good morning [Y/n].” He says his hand moving up towards your hair and stroking it, “Good morning Sungwoo.” You reply holding your breath as he threads his fingers through your hair, “You look nice.” He says a bite to his tone as he eyes you up and down, his tone and stare make you stiffen up even more, “I-it’s just my outfit for work.” You stutter out, he hums his fingers moving to the top of your head before tangling them into a tight grip making you wince, “Do me a favor [Y/n],” He drawls out, “Make sure to stay out late tonight, I’ll be bringing my girlfriend over tonight and I don’t need you here to ruin it.” He glares at you, his grip out your hair lifting your head and forcing you to look into his eyes, “Okay, I’ll ask to work overtime tonight.” You whisper, dropping your gaze to the ground. “Good girl.” He says finally letting go of your hair, you both stand there staring at the ground and he looks at you with a glint in his eyes, “Don’t you need to finish getting ready, wouldn’t want to be late again.” He says condescendingly, “Now go on.” He says smacking your check lightly but hard enough to sting before walking off. You stay there for a few more seconds trying to get yourself to move and when you finally feel like you can you dart towards the bathroom.
When you finally get there you make sure to lock the door and lean against it trying to stop yourself from hyperventilating, you screw your eyes tightly closed and clench and unclench your fists all while doing breathing exercises to try and calm yourself down, you can feel warm, salty tears escaping from your eyes and traveling down your cheeks, once you’ve calmed down enough you turn towards the mirror and gaze into your reflection. You take notice of your tangled hair, bloodshot eyes, and the bruises that peek through the top of your turtle-neck. You sigh at your reflection and begin to heat up your curling iron and pull out your make-up bag, you begin with color correcting the bruising on your skin using various products to cover it up, you cover them all from your forehead to your neck making sure none of them are too visible, you know there is no way you’ll be able to perfectly cover them but you'll at least be satisfied if you can make them less noticeable. Once you’ve completed your makeup look you begin to separate your hair in two layers before curling the bottom layer and then moving on to the top layer.
You once again stare at your reflection, you can see how visibly tired you are, and the eyebags are still rather noticeable as well as your sunken face but at the very least you couldn’t see the bruises. After you’re finished getting ready you make your way to the front door continuing to try and avoid any more run-ins with Sungwoo for the morning but of course, you see him sitting at the dining room table in the dark staring intently at his bright phone, you try to sneak past him and to the door but h speaks up before you can grab your shoes from the rack, “Don’t forget what I said [Y/n] and don’t even think about trying to run away since you’ll be out late, you know what will happen if you do.” He says lifting his head to you with a sadistic grin on his face that makes you feel sick, “I won’t..” You manage to choke out trying your best to avoid looking at him, “Good girl.” He purrs out making you feel nauseous.
Finally being out of that apartment feels like a breath of fresh air, Sungwoo has made it very clear that you are not allowed out unless it’s for work or he’s with you, but that routine feels incredibly suffocating as if you are chained to him but you’re too afraid to free yourself so you can’t help but be a caged bird.
You don’t have a car, so you usually take the train to get to work, but the walk to the station isn’t a short one. You look up to the sky and see it’s cloudy, you didn’t check the weather for the day but seeing as how it's beginning to approach winter that means there is a good chance it will be cold today, you feel the breeze push past you blowing your hair in different directions, you sigh and you can see your breathe as if it were smoke float up. Continuing on your walk you pass by many people, you see families walking with their young kids probably on their way to drop them off at school, you also see an older couple who are sitting on a wooden bench close to some shops as they are bundled up holding each other's hands, your heart clenches and you can’t help but wish that was you, and the one that tugs at your heart the most a girl around your age who is holding on tightly to who you can only assume is her boyfriend based on the way she is clinging to him as they giggle together at some private joke, god how you want that, to be genuinely treasured by someone, but you’re happy for all of those people because it means they won’t end up like you, a bird in a cage who longs to be set free. Finally reaching the train station you scan your travel pass and the gates open for you to pass through, you walk towards the train you take and wait for it to arrive as it’s running a bit behind today, while you wait you pull out your phone checking your notifications but as always there are none, ever since moving in with Sungwoo he made you delete everyone from your contact except for him and there was no number spared you weren’t even allowed to keep you family’s contacts or keep in touch with any friends that weren’t him, the only number allowed other than his was the floral shop you worked at but even that he monitors, he’s completely isolated you from everyone even going as far as to make it so your phones were connected and if you ever wanted to download any apps he would have to give permission. Boarding your train with many other passengers you quickly try and snag a seat but you are unsuccessful, you decide to hang onto the ceiling rails but you immediately sense the feeling of a pair of eyes on you making you uncomfortable, you carefully shift your eyes around the train cart trying to figure out who it is but you can’t seem to find this person until you hear the sound of a shuttering camera coming from behind you and you instantly spin around to find that sitting behind you is an old man who is staring very intently at his phone, “Excuse me sir-” You try to confront him and he glares up at you grunting “What.”, “Uhm, did you take a picture of me?” You attempt to ask but he cuts you off with a scoff, “Why would I do that, I can’t believe you’d say that!” he outrages, “I-I’m very sorry sir but I thought I heard your phone go off.” You try and reason but he begins yelling again catching the attention of other passengers on board, “Please, all you sluts are the same, you’re so desperate for male attention you go around accusing people of peeping on you when you’re a whore!” He shouts at you standing up from his seat, he’s a short, skinny old man whose hair is bald at the top, everyone on board is staring at the two of you and you begin to shrink in on yourself, “I’m very sorry sir that wasn’t what I was implying at all I was just-” You again try to apologize but he shouts once more, “No, I won’t hear your excuses you just want attention that you don’t care who it's from you slut!” He shames you, you aren’t sure how you should even react right now so you bow your head to the man before moving far away from him towards the back of the cart.
As the train finally comes to a stop you can still feel people's eyes on you even after the incident that took place earlier has ended and you can hear the murmurs and whispers directed at you as people begin to stand up and pass you to get to the doors, you keep your head facing the floor as they all walk past you, you finally exit after everyone has left, simply because you couldn’t deal with everyone’s eyes on you as you walked past them. After exiting the station it was another 15 minutes to the Flower shop. You moved in with Sungwoo after high school and he didn’t want you to go to college back then you listened because you believed he liked you back and just didn’t know how to show it but now you know better and that he couldn’t care less about you and he only keeps you for his own entertainment, so when you decided you wanted to get a job just so you’d be able to leave the house more often it took you many failed interviews to finally land this job and you’ve been working here for many years lasting longer than most of the other employees since once they got better education they chose to leave while you stayed, you’ve never made friends with any of the people you’ve worked with, much to scared of what would happen if you did. You thought about this the entire way to the store and when you reached it you began to unlock the doors and turn on the neon ‘Open’ sign and do all of your other usual opening routines. The store’s name is ‘Velvet Petal’, not your idea but the owner is a sweet old lady who opened this store as a family business originally but when all her children moved away she began hiring and kept the original charm of when she first opened it. Today it’s only you and a few of your male coworkers you aren’t fond of because they aren’t good with flowers or customers especially if they’re women because they always try and flirt with them so you eventually have to step in to assist them having to do all the work.
Currently, there are no customers in the store and you’re working on some floral arrangement orders that were placed earlier this week, you’ve been working so hard that you begin to sweat a bit and wipe at your neck not realizing that the make-up you used to cover the bruises and hickeys had smudged and revealed the reddish-purple skin underneath, “Damn [Y/n], I didn’t realize you were into this kinda thing.” One of your male coworkers Minjun purrs trailing a cold finger up your neck making you tense up, “What are you talking about Minjun…” You mutter out still focusing on the flowers in front of you, “Oh you know, just the fact you’re a whore who enjoys being marked up.” He says as if it were the most casual thing in the world, at this you stop what you were doing to spin around and face the smirking boy who is looking at you with lidded eyes, you make sure to keep as much distance as you can from him but it's hard to do when he’s pressing himself up against you, “Minjun please move away from me.” You plead incredibly uncomfortable with the position you’re in. That feeling becomes even worse when your two other coworkers enter the room and grin wildly at the sight in front of them, “Wow, [Y/n] such a dirty girl doing this kinda thing with Junnie in the store where a customer could walk in.” Dowon says a filthy smirk on his face as he eyes you up and down, “Nah man, I think she’s hoping a customer will walk in and see her being a slut for us.” The other boy, Seongho says as he approaches you and Minjun, “No I don’t want that, and I don’t want this!” You begin to panic trying to think of a way you can get away from the three men who are closing in on you, you try and squish yourself further back against the table slowly moving your hand around it to try and feel for anything you can use to help defend yourself with, but you’re saved when the store bell rings and you quickly squeeze yourself from the unsafe moment and over to the customer to try and get away from them, “Hello ma’am how can I help you,” You say trying to keep your heart rate steady and keep yourself from shaking, “Oh I’m just looking for a little something to help brighten my house, I was thinking some roses would look great in my kitchen.” She explains, “I see, well we have a vast selection here at ‘Velvet Petal’ so I’m sure we can find you something you’ll love.” You spout trying to keep your voice steady and put on your best ‘customer service’ face and voice. After helping the woman you tell Minjun, Dowon, and Seongho that they can clock out for the day this seems to satisfy them and they quickly leave you alone at the store much to your relief, once they’ve left you feel you can breathe again and your heartbeat slowly returns to normal knowing you won’t be put in a situation like that for the rest of work. Since Sungwoo told you to work late tonight you decided to catch up on a few custom orders you’ve gotten this week and lock up before heading to the back area where you keep the floral arranging area, you work on one of your favorite orders of this week which is for a brides bouquet. After finishing a few more arrangements you check the time and groan when you discover it’s only 6 pm, you decide to clean up around the store hoping it will help pass more time. Luckily for you, it seems to work as the time is currently 8 pm, so you close the door of the shop and start making your way down the dark streets that are only illuminated by the moon’s shine.
There is nobody down the street except for you.
An unsettling feelings begin to pool at the bottom of your stomach. You feel as if there are many pairs of eyes on you.
You pick up the pace beginning to speed walk,
You hear the sound of footsteps coming from somewhere behind you, you try and subtly turn your head but you are unable to see anything down the pitch-black street, you try to pull your phone from out of your pockets but find that it's not there, you begin to panic even more looking ahead of you to try and find anyone there who might be able to help you but you find nothing, the familiar street shops are now closed and there is no light in sight.
Your breathing becomes heavier as you begin to hear even more pairs of footsteps begin to follow you.
You think that you may be able to lose them if you swerve through different alleyways so that's what you do you make your way down different turns and cuts to try and lose the people following you but it doesn't work so when you pass the next alley you quickly turn into it to hide.
You duck down behind a dumpster and pray whoever it is that is following you won’t look there.
The sound of footsteps echo through the dingy alleyway.
You cover your nose and mouth with your hand doing your best to stay quiet, your eyes are beginning to blur with tears, and you are shaking, you make sure you stay silent as many pairs of feet pass your hiding spot.
Things are being thrown around, there are loud thuds and the sound of metal crashing against the concrete echoes off the brick walls of the dark and filthy alleyway.
You flinch at the loud sounds pressing your hand harshly against your mouth to muffle your yelp.
A gruff voice yells, “Fuck where’d she go!” And is followed by the sound of a can being kicked,
The can rolls towards you and your eyes widen “No, no, no…” You whimper to yourself trying to scoot away from it deeper into the middle of the large dumpster.
The alleyway goes silent.
You are breathing heavier and your eyes burn at the feeling of your unshed tears.
The three men nod to each other, one of them making their way to the dumpster covered in filth, as another makes their way to the other side of it.
You hear their footsteps echoing off the walls as they get closer and closer to where you’re hiding.
“Come out, Come out wherever ya are~”
You hear the deep voice of a man say from the left of the dumpster, you whimper trying to keep your voice down, on the other side someone bangs on the side making you jump, you hear a raspy chuckle coming from your left and you can see the man's worn down shoes.
“Don’t worry doll, we ain't gonna hurt ya.”
You hear the same voice speak up.
“Yeah, we jus’ wanna play with ya!”
You can hear the man to your left side say in a croaky, dry voice, you curl into yourself covering your ears and squeezing your eyes shut tightly, “Please, leave me alone..” You whisper to yourself in a shaky voice. But the dumpster is moved away from you revealing your hiding spot.
“There ya are pretty.”
One of the men says quickly grabbing onto your forearm, you yelp at the sudden movement and try to pry his hands off of you, “Please leave me alone!” You scream at the three men but they simply chuckle at your outrage.
“Don't worry sweet thing we ain’t gonna hurt ya, we’re jus’ gonna make ya feel real good~”
The man in the center speaks up as he approaches you, He gets closer and closer to you until he’s standing inches from you and you can smell the alcohol on his breath.
You rack your brain trying to figure out an escape route and as hard as you can you swing your leg up between his legs and nail him right in the balls, the man shrivels up and groans as he grips between his legs, you next turn your body and pry the man's hands off of you before dashing out of the alleyway.
“Don’t just stand there like a bunch a idiots go catch her!” You hear the man you kicked yell at the other two.
You sprint as fast as you can past the run-down apartment buildings, you can hear the two other men running after you their footsteps heavy and echoing, you manage to make it to an open convenience store and quickly make your way into it, “Please sir I need your help!” Your words are rushed and you’re wheezing from the run, the man looks panicked and confused, “Miss are you alright?” He asks, “No, please there are three men who dragged me down an alley I managed to escape, please help me!” You beg the man, tears streaming down your face, “Okay come this way I’ll help you.” He makes his way from behind the counter and brings you over to an employees-only break room, “You can hide in here for now and I’ll call you a cab okay miss?” “Yes sir, thank you so much for your help!” You hiccup wiping your tears away roughly, the old man pats your back before he makes his way back to the front of the store.
You hear the door to the store beep and some muffled voices but you’re sure it’s the men who are after you, you can hear some loud shouting before the store bell rings again and you pray that they’ve left.
The old man comes back in and informs you that the cab is here for you and that the men left. “Thank you so much, sir.” You bow deeply to the man but he simply waves you off, “Don’t worry about it, I only did the right thing to do.” You smile at the man's generosity before bowing once more as he walks you out of the store to see you off.
The ride back to your apartment is a long and silent one, you find your phone buried in your bag, you check it and begin to panic when you see the time is nearing midnight, you had no clue those men had been chasing you for so long but you don’t care since you’re safe from them, but you know you won’t be safe when you return to the apartment, you dread what Sungwoo’s may think happened, ‘Does he think I ran away?’,
‘Will he worry when he knows what happened, will he even care?’, ‘Will he hurt me because I’m coming home late?’
You begin to overthink what may happen upon your return home.
When you finally make it back to the apartment building you take your time choosing to climb the stairs even if your body screams at you for doing so simply because it means you can put off the inevitable.
You stand outside the door trying to calm yourself down before finally pulling out your keys and unlocking the door, low and behold Sungwoo is waiting for you at the kitchen island his fingers interlaced as he glares at you, “Where were you?” He interrogates, “Y-you told me to work late tonight so I did.” You stutter, he hums before standing up and taking slow and heavy steps toward where you stand in the foyer, he stands a few inches away from you now, his gaze is cold and you can feel the rage roll off of him in waves, “You smell like alcohol and trash.” He states and you gulp, “I-I was being chased on my way home from work by three drunken men.” You say truthfully but Sungwoo simply scoffs at you, “Oh yea, 'cause I totally believe that,” He rolls his eyes, “I bet you were whoring yourself out.” He accuses you, a hand making its way to your face as his fingers dig into your skin while he strokes you, “You’re such a slut that you’d go around offering yourself to men on the street huh?” He muses, “N-no that's not what happened I promise.” You plead but he ignores you, so you switch tactics, “Besides why would I do that when I have you?” You make your best puppy eyes at him trying to play innocent hoping it’ll work, “Awe you’re so cute,” You feel a sting on the left side of your cheek, “To think that would work on me, it might’ve if you’d been home sooner but its past midnight [Y/n] so don’t play dumb with me.” He glares his hand digging into your scalp as he pulls on your hair, “Not to mention the state you’re in, you’re covered in filth and your hair is a mess.” he sneers at you, he begins pulling you deeper into the house by your hair, you can feel the itching pain of it and the sting of your cheek as he drags you into your room.
He throws you onto the floor making you drop down with a thud, you watch in horror as he begins to unbuckle his belt but instead of taking off his pants he folds the belt in half, “Take off your clothes.” He glares down at you as if you were dirt on his shoe, you quickly do as he says and strip yourself naked, you know what’s about to happen so you close your eyes tightly and position yourself onto your hands and knees like you know he wants you. “Good girl.” He says before he swings the leather belt down onto your back making you scream out in pain, after only the first swing your eyes well up with tears and your throat stings after the sharp yell,
“This.” Slap “ Is.” Slap ”What.” Slap ”You.” Slap “Deserve.” Slap “For.” Slap ”Being.” Slap “A.” Slap “Slut”
He whips the belt down onto you after each word he speaks, you scream and cry as you begin to feel welts and cuts appearing on the red, irritated skin. “I think you need a harsher punishment to remind you who you belong to.” He speaks his face twisted into a sadistic grin, he drops the belt to the floor and walks away you know not to move and just let yourself sob, you have no idea what he plans to do but you know it can’t be good if he’s left the room.
When he returns he kneels behind you, “Be a good girl and stay still, this will hurt less if you do.” He says in a sadistic voice and it scares you because you have no idea what he’s planning to do.
Your resounding screams are blood-curdling.
You feel the sharp blade of a knife dig into your skin making weird turns that deepen as the knife twists and turns in your back.
The blade only lifts for a second before it starts carving into you again, you can feel warm blood drip from your open wounds, he’s digging it in deep and you know it will eventually lead to a gnarly scar once it's healed.
Your screams of “Stop!” and “No!” bounce off the wall of your room as you sob into your arms as he continues carving into you. “Shut up and stop squirming or I’ll have to redo it.” He says gritting his teeth as he makes more jagged cuts into your back as you scream in pain. Once he’s finally finished he closes his blade and dips his finger into your pooling blood and writes on your back with it. You’re full-on sobbing after he’s done taking shallow breaths in and out, you can’t seem to stop hyperventilating and your vision begins to blur as you lose consciousness.
When you wake next it’s 4 in the morning and your back is burning at the open wounds and welts that litter your skin, you carefully lift yourself off of the cold, wooden ground grateful that no substances are leaking from your legs proving Sungwoo didn’t do anything to you while you were unconscious so you can make your way to the bathroom, you don’t bother putting on clothes but you do grab a fresh pair of pajamas so you can clean yourself of the dried blood and grim that covers your entire body. You slowly make your way to the bathroom, every step feeling like agony you feel the stinging of your cheek and the burn of the welts and cuts not to mention the headache that was caused by your hair being pulled. You finally reach the bathroom quickly flicking the lights on and locking the door behind you, you stare into the mirror seeing your hair is once again a tangled rat's nest and that your cheek is a burning red where the shape of a hand-print takes place. You eventually get the courage to turn around and see the damage on your back and you’re horrified at what you see.
In crooked, jagged letters the word ‘SUNGWOO’ Is etched into your skin.
Your eyes begin to tear up at the condition your back is in, not only do you have his name in horrific letters carved onto you but you are covered in cuts and welts left from the belt as well as a bruise in the shape of the buckle on you, you can see that written in your dried blood are the words ‘This slut belongs to’ as they lead down the carved out name of Sungwoo.
You begin to gag at the state of your back and quickly make your way to the toilet to throw up, your eyes sting with tears and you slump down to the ground and begin to cry shaking violently not being able to erase the image from your mind. You eventually manage to pull yourself off the floor and turn on the shower to a luke-warm temperature since you don’t want to irritate your skin even more than it is, you step into the shower and gently wash your body, scrubbing harder at areas that need it, you also wash your filthy, knotted hair and leave the conditioner in to soak while you focus on washing away the blood on you back being careful not to irritate it, you make sure not to use soap on that area and only wash it with water, you’ll make sure to take the time to disinfect in once you get out.
After you’re clean you slip on your pajamas making sure they’re loose fitting so they won’t rub onto you, you quietly make your way to your room and pull out a first aid kit and some rubbing alcohol to help clean yourself up more, you slowly slip off your shirt and put some of the rubbing alcohol onto a cotton ball before delicately swiping it over some of the smaller cuts before moving onto the words writing on you, it was difficult to maneuver your arms to your back but you managed to do a decent job at disinfecting yourself.
You decide to go out for a walk to try and keep your head straight so you slip on a hoodie and as quietly as you can you tiptoe your way out of the apartment, it’s still dark out and there are no stars out due to the cloudy night sky, you make your way to a playground near the apartment and stare blankly up at the sky, you feel void of any emotions and your head is finally clear of all your dreadful thoughts, there’s no more thoughts of Sungwoo, no more pain, no more wishing for everything to end, you feels as if you’re just a drift in the night sky. You’re sat on one of the swings, but you aren’t swinging through the air, no, you’re just sitting there the wind blowing through your hair occasionally causing you to rock a bit but for the most part you sit there staring at the sky. Everything is silent, you don’t hear anything, and even the sound of crickets chirping is absent.
“You shouldn’t be out alone at night.”
You whip your head around behind you to where you hear a voice but no one is there.
“It’s dangerous for you to be out this late.”
You hear the voice once more but this time in front of you and you spin around once more only to see no one once again, “Who’s there!” You shout into the darkness but the only answer you receive is the whisper of wind blowing past you, “I’m losing my mind.” You whisper to yourself, but you swear you hear a deep chuckle coming from the playground so you turn your head to strain your eyes to see if anyone is there, in the shadows of the night is the silhouette of a man.
You stiffen up in your position and clench your hands ignoring the pinch of the swing chains as they dig into your palms uncomfortably, “Who are you?” You demand, “What do you want from me!” Once again the figure chuckles, “I give you good advice and this is the thanks I get?” The man asks in a teasing voice, and when he receives no answer he hums, “You can think of me as a friend, and as for what I want from you it's easy,” He says, “We want to help you.” The man states casually, you can see his silhouette’s shoulders shrug, “We?” You narrow your eyes at the man, you slowly stand up from the swing and begin to back up in case he tries to approach you but you end up backing into something making you go stiff once more, you quickly realize you’ve run into a person as their cold hands wrap around your shoulders.
“That's right, we only want to help.”
The person behind you whispers into your ear, his voice is deep and has an accent to it, the heat of their breath on the shell of your ear making you shiver.
You keep your eyes on the person by the playground when you see 6 more figures manifest from out of the shadows.
“I don’t know what you mean by helping me, but I don’t want your help, please leave me alone..” You choke out praying they don’t try to do anything to you.
“Don’t worry we won’t hurt you or try anything funny.” A different voice speaks up and you can only assume it’s the figure on the top of the playground's roof, “H-how do I know I can trust you not to do anything?” You stutter in response, The figure behind you hums “I suppose you can’t, but we want to help you with getting rid of that pesky parasite.” You flinch as his deep voice penetrates your ears “P-parasite? What are you talking about?” You whimper out,
“I think you know what we’re talking about.”
One of the shadows speaks up.
“You reek of the smell of blood, and you look terrified.” Another voice speaks up, “I smell like what?” You ask confused, but the group ignores your question “Not to mention you’ve got bruises all over and you look tired but not the sleep-deprived kind of tired, your face is sunken in and you look like you cry a lot.” but this observation makes you even more confused, “How do you know about my bruises?” You breathe out, “We can see the hand-shaped ones across your throat, you’re clearly a victim of such a nasty parasite.” The man behind you speaks up, and out of reflex, you move your hand up to brush your fingers over the dark bruise “A-are you talking about Sungwoo?” You whisper out, You see their silhouettes nod.
“We can help you if you’d like. We can kill Park Sungwoo.”

Happy Lee Know Day 🩸
© Jeri Rose | INPRNT
[Image Description]
Digital Realism painting of Lee Know from Stray Kids as a vampire, blood dripping from his mouth, running down his chin and neck. Lee Know is resting his back up against a tree, his glowing red eyes looking towards the sky. He's painted from a side profile, his lips slightly parted with his sharp tooth on show. Lee Know has a labret piercing, septum ring and a gold snake that wraps around his pointed ear. On the shown side of his face, three (3) newer scars go from his forehead to his cheek, and under that, 2 older, healed scars go over his jaw line. His long, dark blue hair waves and wisps around his face behind two small bite marks peak out on his neck. Lee Know's cheeks are blushed with light purple, star feckles decorate them, along with light opaque stars that go down his neck, in purple and blue. Lee Know wears a black and grey shirt, covered in blood stains and splatter. The woods around him is still and foggy, a full moon shines behind the fog that wraps itself around the trees behind him. A gold wisp enters from the left side, wraps itself around Lee Know and the trees and exits on the right side. The image under the cut is the same image without the blood.

Disclaimer: the story represented in this work does not represent Stray Kids in any way; anything described in this story and all actions performed by the characters are purely fictional, this was created just for good fun.
Ever since Minho was turned, he’d had trouble dealing with his feedings.
For long periods of time, he’d settled on a vegetarian diet, hunting deer, or moose, or any possible animal he could find in the woods. Every couple of centuries, though, he’d be lucky enough to find someone fucked up in the head enough to let him feed off of them. It was something he tended to avoid, because he’d inevitably grow attached, and getting attached to someone that aged and eventually died was something that took an immense toll on the tiny bit of humanity that was left in him.
Sometimes, though, it was unavoidable. Or, at least, it felt like it to him.
The first time you crossed his path was during the very early morning, way before the sun rose in the horizon. Minho had just fed, he’d had so much the poor cow didn’t even make it. He was seemingly satisfied enough to go on for a few days without any more of his crimson sustenance, but the second you walked past him, his mouth went dry.
What an intoxicating scent, you had… Enough to cloud his reason completely, enough to make him turn around and walk after you–discreetly, of course. If years and years living in hiding had taught him anything, it was the art of discretion.
Minho knew it was wrong. That what he was doing was beyond creepy and immoral, but he needed to know who you were, he just did. So he followed you until you made it to a building, a new bakery that had settled in town just last week.
Soon after, the smell of baked goods started to emanate from the building’s chimney. It was pleasant, but nothing compared to the smell of you.
Minho left the place shortly after that, right before the sun started to show his head in the sky, and, as he walked the familiar paths to his manor in the outskirts of the town, he figured it was time for him to open himself up again. Now, it was just a matter of courting you, in hopes that you’d give him the time of day.
Trying to get someone’s attention while being a creature of the night wasn’t exactly easy. That was something Minho quickly came to find out after he turned. Which was why, the only times he was able to see you was either in the early morning when you went to your bakery and started preparing your goods, or in the late evening when you finally closed shop and made your way home.
The first time he tried to approach you, a friend of yours suddenly came out of nowhere, and Minho, admittedly, felt a bit shy, so he decided to try some other time. He’d lived for centuries, he was stronger, more dexterous than any human, and somehow he still felt uncomfortable around strangers sometimes. He often called this curse of introversion the remnants of his humanity.
He continued to try, though. He was persistent, but each attempt always failed. To this day, he found it both amusing and mortifying that the evening he finally got to meet you, to actually speak to you, was also the one he made a fool of himself. What was all vampiric dexterity worth for if he was still able to trip over his feet and fall face first to the ground?
Thankfully for him, you had quite the sense of humour, and his mishap simply made you laugh and offer your hand to help him to his feet. Your reaction made it so Minho didn’t feel half as embarrassed as he usually would, so it was easy for him to recover and start chatting you up.
After getting acquainted with you, Minho reached the same dilemma he always had in situations like these… He wanted you. Not only that delicious nectar that flowed through your veins, but also everything that laid under your clothes, and, most of all, your company.
He knew he had to reveal his true self to you, and if you wanted him back, vampirism and all, it’d all be smooth and dandy. However, if you didn’t, he’d have to make a choice… Respect your decision and leave you alone forever, or do as many of his peers did, to give into his instincts, drink you up, erase your memory, and carry on with his life as if nothing had happened.
When he had been recently turned, Minho didn’t even entertain the possibility of taking someone’s blood without their consent, but, after having lived as long as he had, morality was a concept that seemed to shift and drift into a muddier construct. He’d always thought that, if he ever did something like that, then that’d be the moment he’d known that tiny bit of humanity in him had left him completely.
Luckily, when he did gather the courage to tell you the truth, even if you had been a bit shaken at first, you clearly liked him enough not to care about it. If anything, you were immensely curious about it all. ‘How old are you then?’, ‘Were things as bad back then as they said?’, ‘Did it hurt?’, ‘Does it hurt now?’
Minho answered any and every question you had for him, as honestly as he couldalthough, ometimes, he believed that if he was too honest or too straightforward he’d scare you off. ‘I’m really old’, ‘They were even worse’, ‘It did hurt. A lot…’, ‘It does not hurt as much anymore. Only when I am hit by sunlight or when I have not fed in a long time…’
When you inquired about his feedings, he simply told you of his vegetarian diet. He didn’t want to go too deep into it. You didn’t need to know which animals he drank from, nor how his vegetarian diet made it so he had to feed at least once a week, as opposed to how human blood would keep him satisfied for a whole month.
He decided not to ask you to let him feed off of you just yet… Just like it happened when he wanted to tell you about his vampirism, he was also apprehensive of asking you to become his main source of sustenance.
After all, to Minho, not only did it feel like a major commitment, but, also, you could very well push him away due to the proposition, and he honestly wouldn’t blame you if you did. Although, losing you now was something he couldn’t afford. He was too used to walking you to your bakery in the very early morning, to spending evenings talking with you…
Regardless of his very obvious attraction, he genuinely enjoyed your company, and this was probably the most understood he’d felt after a long, long time. And also, to him, it felt like you were enjoying his company, too.
The first time Minho kissed you, it had been a spur of the moment thing. He was notorious for overthinking these things, for wanting the situation to be absolutely perfect, but you just smelt so good, and you looked so cute, and your heart was beating so fast in your chest there was no way he could’ve stopped the words from coming out of his mouth.
‘I really want to kiss you…’
Lame, basic, completely void of flourish or romanticism… But your heartbeat still quickened, he could hear your blood rushing through your veins, all the way to the utmost sensitive areas of your body. For a brief moment, he wished you could feel that reaction in him, too. He was certainly feeling it–or, at least, something akin to it, even when his body had long since been incapable of showing it.
‘Are you sure? I am no longer chaste…’
How ludicrous. As if something as trivial as that mattered to him. He’d lived for so long, he’d realised chastity was on its own a ridiculous concept. Almost no one was chaste after reaching a certain age, either because of the thoughts in their heads or the actual physical implications of the fact. Which was exactly what he told you.
If Minho’d had a working heart, he was sure it would’ve leaped out of his chest the second you pulled him to you for a kiss.
Your lips were soft, warm, they had a faint taste of strawberry–surely from one of your jam-filled pastries–and an undeniable taste of you. As he kissed you, as he held you close to him by the waist, Minho realised he was cursed now.
There was no way he wouldn’t be bound to you after this, after savouring the feeling of your warmth against his body, of your soft flesh under his hands… Things escalated further than he had ever expected that night, but he wasn’t going to complain, not when the sight of you, vulnerable, completely bare on his bed, was everything he could’ve ever dreamt of.
Minho knew then that he was ready to spend the next handful of decades with you, for as long as your mortal life lasted, or for as long as you wanted him to.
The first time you brought up the topic of feeding to him, Minho almost didn’t believe his ears.
‘Have you ever thought of feeding off of me, my love? Of drinking me up?’
It was not only the two questions themselves, but also the way you’d asked them, and your overall body language as you did, that made him think he was delirious. You didn’t sound scared, nor disgusted. If anything, there was a lingering curiosity in your tone, and, most importantly, a dangerous tint of sultriness, maybe even arousal, that hung to your every word.
‘Of course I have, my dear. More times than I could ever count…’
Minho had no reservations when he answered your queries. How could he, when you had shown him nothing but acceptance and love throughout these past handful of months? When you seemed to have absolutely no qualms when it came to his monstrous ways?
‘Would you like to do it?’
If he had the ability to, he was sure he would’ve fainted right then and there.
Of course he would like to do it. Scratch that, he would love to do it. There was barely anything he wanted more than to taste the scarlet liquid running through your veins, to have the undeniable taste of your humanity on his tongue.
What was seemingly an innocent walk along the stream in the forest had just turned into, quite possibly, one of the most satisfying feeds he’d had in centuries.
Minho sat on the ground, under one of the many trees that seemed to provide you two with an odd sense of privacy. Odd, because you were pretty much still in an open space.
Interestingly enough, even when Minho was a monster, he was still just as part of nature as you were, and, that night, all that booming life surrounding you in the forest simply protected you both; it let nature take its course.
With you straddling his lap, with one of his hands on the small of your back, and the other on the side of your neck, Minho pressed his lips to your pulse point, almost salivating at the minute thumps of your heart against his skin. You shivered in his hold, keeping your hands on his shoulders to maintain your posture.
“Do not make any sudden movements, darling. I do not want to hurt you…” He mumbled against the fragile skin, humming in satisfaction once you nodded. “If it becomes too much, say it. Or squeeze me if talking is too difficult, alright?”
You hummed, nodding again. Minho seriously hoped he’d be able to stop if you showed any signs of discomfort. He hadn’t had human blood in so long he wasn’t really sure how he’d react. Killing you was a very real possibility, he’d told you already, but you still wanted to go through with this. Being honest, he was just a weak man, incapable of passing up the opportunity when it was so boldly presented to him, even when it could possibly take your life.
So he delayed no further. He located the safest area he could on your neck, one where not too many important veins resided, and after a couple of tentative licks on your skin, his fangs enlarged. He lightly dragged them over your throat, letting you feel not only their presence, but also their sharpness.
“Take a deep breath. Do not move too much”, his voice was barely a whisper, but he knew you heard him clear as day.
As soon as you took that deep breath he’d asked you for, his teeth sank on your flesh, piercing the skin like it was a knife cutting room temperature butter. You didn’t move, but the moan that came out of your mouth was more than indication enough that you’d felt it all.
When your taste flooded his mouth, Minho couldn’t help but moan as well. It was all so much better than he had imagined. His whole body trembled, he felt as if he was burning up from the inside out in the best way possible, and he just closed his eyes to enjoy the taste of you.
What an absolutely delectable taste… So much so he had to remind himself to stop before it was too late. He was sure he had drank a bit too much for comfort, but you didn’t protest, you didn’t move one centimetre out of place, you just let him take as much as his heart desired, either because you trusted him that much, or because you had your own personal gains from this exchange–after all, no one just simply offered themselves to a vampire unless they had their own carnal reasons for it.
After soothing the pair of puncture wounds with his tongue, Minho finally pulled away from your neck to look you in the eyes. What he found was your blown pupils, your lips slightly parted as you took in ragged breaths, and even though his fangs were still very much at their full length, you immediately cupped his cheeks and pulled him in for a heated kiss.
It was messy, desperate, he was sure there was still some of your blood on his mouth that was now smearing all over yours, and he had to be careful not to hurt you with his teeth, but you didn’t seem to mind or care at all. You just kissed him like you needed him to breathe, and he let you indulge, mostly because he himself wanted nothing more than to have you as close as he possibly could.
Minho was constantly grateful that you’d crossed his path all those months ago, that you decided to move to this specific town in the first place. Not only did you let him drink your blood, but you also brought an irreplaceable spark to his lacklustre immortal life.
He tried not to think too much of the future, of the moment you’d inevitably pass away. There was no point in grieving this far ahead, he needed to remind himself that, yes, it would happen, but there were hopefully still many years before it did.
Enjoying the present was of the utmost importance. Especially when the present was you on his bed, with your legs over his shoulders and his mouth attached to your plump, warm centre.
All the sighs, and moans, and deep breaths, always reminded him you were here, you were his, and that you trusted him. You trusted him enough to bare yourself to him, to move in with him to his previously lonely manor in the outskirts of town, and to let him feed once a month from any area of your body he wanted to.
Feeding off of a human’s neck was usually the most traditional way, but when Minho found a suitable partner, he always liked to get creative. He’d admit there were spots he usually preferred, that he enjoyed much, much more than the neck. The softer the area was, the better. It was always much tastier, especially so once pleasure was coursing through his partner’s veins.
Thankfully for him, you had plenty of those softer, squishier areas, and you also had no reservations when he wanted to sink his teeth in them. He was trying his best not to get ahead of himself. Getting his fangs to their full length when he had his mouth between your legs was incredibly inconvenient, he genuinely didn’t want to hurt you, and he was certain that the sharp tip of his teeth would damage such a sensitive area of your body.
With a hand on your belly, and the other on your thigh, Minho let himself enjoy the taste of your arousal on his tongue. Your grip on his hair was tight, but you made no move to push him away; if anything, you were pulling him further into you, as much as he could be, keeping him there for as long as he’d let you.
Licking his way up to your clit, he sucked the sensitive nub into his mouth, parting his lips enough to flick it with his tongue. The moan of his name that spilled from your lips made his head spin. Your legs trembled with his motions, especially so when he finally brought his hand from your thigh close to your core to spread your juices with two of his digits.
Minho teased you for a bit, dipping just the tip of his fingers into you only to remove them a second after, increasing the pressure and pace of his tongue. At least, he tried to tease you… It was hard to do so when you begged so sweetly from him. Never in his long life had he enjoyed the sound of the word ‘Please’ coming out of someone else’s mouth as much as he did now, even more so when you called him your love, your darling, your heart.
My, my, my… Every time you addressed him as such he couldn’t help but feel the tiniest bit human again. If he had a working heart, he was sure he’d feel it swell in his chest. Yours, yours, yours… He was yours. For as long as you lived, he’d be yours.
When Minho finally stuffed those two digits within your warmth, the sight of your head falling back against the pillows was enough to let him know it was time. He was thirsty, and he was ready to give in to his primal needs.
He removed his mouth from your skin, but he kept massaging that sweet spot within your walls that had your toes curling with need. “Going to do it now, my love. Hm?”
You nodded. “Please, darling…”
Minho hummed, giving your clit one more affectionate kiss before he replaced his mouth with his thumb. If he could die, you’d be the death of him for sure.
He kept rubbing precise circles on the apex of your thighs, dragging his fingers within your clamping walls. At least, as precisely as he could while he attached his mouth to your soft tummy. Already, his fangs made an appearance, it didn’t take much for them to whenever he knew he was about to puncture your skin. It was second nature at this point.
Sometimes, Minho liked to start with your belly. Yes, start. He’d developed a bit more self control since he started to feed off of you, so he used that to his advantage, to feed off of as many parts of your body as he could.
When his teeth sunk on your flesh, you exhaled a shaky breath. Oh, how sweet you tasted whenever his fingers were on you like this. He could not only smell your arousal, but also taste it on his tongue when he started to drink you up. It was intoxicating, fulfilling, it was absolutely everything to him.
Before he could get carried away, Minho pulled away from your tummy, swiftly reattaching his lips to one of your thighs instead. He repeated the motions, puncturing your skin, drinking your essence, soothing the wounds with his tongue only to move along to the next area.
By the time he was full, you were trembling, whining, begging for your release. So he cleaned the remnants of your blood with the back of his hand before his lips found their way between your legs once again. Minho tried his best to will his fangs to decrease in size, at least enough for his own comfort. At this point, he was absolutely sure you wouldn’t mind, if anything, it’d probably turn you own, but he still wanted to be careful.
As soon as he started to suck on your swollen nub, as soon as the pace of his fingers increased, unintelligible noises of pleasure fell from your mouth. It didn’t take long for you to finally find your release, swearing and saying his name time and time again. Minho loved to feel your warmth around his fingers, especially as it spasmed with the aftershocks of your orgasm. Somehow, it always made him feel even fuller than when he fed.
When he was sure you’d enjoyed as much of your pleasure as you could, he finally removed his fingers, and he simply kissed his way up your body, until his lips finally found yours. You sighed, a content sigh that had him feeling tingly all over, just as you hugged him close to you and pressed tired kisses on his lips.
“Feeling fine, my dear?” Minho mumbled between kisses, relishing the fast pace of your heart against his chest.
“Mm… Just a bit lightheaded”, you mumbled back, dragging your fingers through his hair, making him shiver.
After a few minutes of kissing, of reassuring words against the other’s skin, Minho pulled himself away from your tight hug so he could fetch you some food. It was important for you to replenish your body, the healthier you were, the more he’d be able to feed, but most importantly, the longer you’d live.
As he fed you your meal, as he engaged in conversation with you, Minho reminded himself once again how important it was to live in the present, to not worry about the impending future of your relationship. You were on his bed, laughing, smiling, joking about how he’d almost made you a colander tonight, telling him story after story of odd encounters you had with your customers, and, for now, that was more than enough for him.

Part One | Part Two
The two days that you spent at the SKZ house, as they called it, were… interesting to say the least. You woke up on the earlier side to make sure you had enough time to get to class, and each day they were all awake, watching TV, working out, doing homework. You'd offer to make them breakfast as you made your own, but they all claimed to have eaten just after they woke up. There were no dishes in the sink, the same amount of food in the fridge. Not to mention their beds were always made up the same every morning. You'd never met college guys who were so… put together. It was throwing you off a little.
“So.” Sam smiles. “These guys you stayed with for a couple nights… any chance you're going to move on from Mark?” She asks.
You can't help it, but you roll your eyes at her question. You still weren't sure what you were going to do about him. You hadn't confronted him, fuck, tou hadn't even spoken to him since San dropped that ball on you the other day. While there was an attraction to, well, let's be honest, all of them, you technically, were still Mark's girlfriend, so the chance of you doing anything was even lower than zero. You weren't a cheater, you never understood the desire to hurt the person you're supposed to love most in this world but that's more than you can say for Mark.
“I mean, yeah they're all extremely attractive.” You laugh. “But I'm still with Mark, and until I figure out what I'm going to be doing, I won't be doing anything with them.” You murmur.
“Them!?” Sam gasps. “You wanna fuck them all.” She laughs. “I always knew you were fucking kinky.”
“Sam!” You laugh. “Jesus christ.”
The two of you laugh, finishing up your makeup, before getting dressed and heading out. Sam had wanted to get ready at the house with the boys, but with all the testosterone radiating in that house, you needed out for a few hours. Luckily for the both of you, Sam's parents were out of the evening so you had the house to yourselves.
“Come on, some shots before we go.” She says, walking into the kitchen. She grabs two shots glasses, pouring you each a shot of vodka.
“We cannot show up sober. A few shots each should do the trick.” She laughs.
You don't say anything, instead welcome the liquid burning your throat as you take shot after shot, desperately hoping for it to erase all your problems for at least one night. Once you were feeling tipsy enough, you and Sam got into your Uber, heading over to the boy's house. When you pull up, the party is already in full swing. There are people out in the front yard drinking, the front door is wide open, welcoming anyone and everyone to join.
“Wow.” Sam gasps. “This looks crazy!”
You laugh, grabbing her hand, pulling her towards the front door. The moment you stepped foot into the house, it was like all 8 of them knew you were there. Very quickly and one by one, they came up to you, giving you a hug to say hi and saying hi to Sam. By the time Minho, who was the last one to come up to you, said hi, Sam had smacked you so many times you thought you'd have a bruise in the shape of her hand on your arm for sure.
“Let's get a drink.” You murmur, pulling her towards the kitchen, not letting her say what you knew she desperately wanted too.
“They're all so fucking hot.” She yells into your ear as you're pouring you both drinks. You laugh as your stomach twists with anxiety. Yes they were, and you were definitely having troubles with that. As the two of you take a couple sips of your drinks, you begin to hear what sounds like a commotion in the living room.
“I know she's here, and I dont fucking appreciate you forcing her to live here! I'm her fucking boyfriend… me!” You hear.
Your stomach drops.
“Mark.” You whisper.
“Don't go out there. Just stay here. Maybe he'll leave.” Sam says. At this point the music had been turned way down, and everyone was crowding around all 8 men and Mark. You knew he wouldn't leave. He was too fucking stubborn. You pushed your way through the crowd of people until you stood beside Hyunjin, who glanced over at you, worriedly.
“What the fuck, y/n.” Mark snaps, motioning to the men. “So what, you're just out here being a whore now?” He asks.
Hyunjin steps forward, but Jeongin pulls him back. “Excuse me?” You ask. “No, I just figured we were done since you can't keep your dick in your pants.” You snap back.
“What the hell are you even talking about?” Mark groans, rolling his eyes.
“San told me, don't play fucking dumb.” You spit. “You never stopped seeing Chae, even after begging, and crying on your knees for me to stay.” You yell.
You wanted to laugh along with those laughing in the crowd, while Mark looked embarrassed.
“Why would I still see her if I told you I only wanted you?” He asks.
“Why would San lie about that? He's your best friend.” You say.
“Yeah, my best friend who's… in…love with you!” Mark mutters.
“What?” You respond. There was no way. Absolutely no way. You'd never gotten those vibes from San, not in the two years that you had been with Mark.
“Why else would he say that?” Mark asks. “Think about it.”
“I am thinking about it, and you're full of shit.” You laugh. “There's no way that San feels like that.”
“I don't feel like what?” San asks, pushing his way through the crowd.
“Mark here says that you lied about Chae, because you're in love with me.” You say. The alcohol you had drank was making you more courageous than you'd ever been in your life. Sober you would never.
“What the fuck?” San laughs. “No offense, y/n but I have a girlfriend that I love very much.” He says. “And Mark's known about her since we started dating, a year and a half ago.”
You turn your head, glaring at Mark, who in turn is glaring at San.
“Interesting.” You mutter, rolling your eyes.
“Whatever, this isn't a conversation that should happen around others.” Mark scoffs. He grabs your wrist, yanking you towards him. “C'mon, let's go home.” He says.
“You know what, Mark?” You begin. “No.” You say, trying to free your wrist from his grasp.
“Y/n, now is not the time.” He snaps, looking around the room.
“I'm done. We're done. I don't trust you anymore. You've done nothing but lie to me. It's over.” You yell, pulling as hard as you can to free yourself.
“What's going on?” You hear from behind you, a familiar voice echoing through the almost silent room.
“Mark, you're hurting me!” You whine. Your wrist is beginning to throb and ache as you try to free yourself.
“Let her go.” You hear the same voice. Suddenly, Chan is beside you, his hand on top of Mark's. Chan didn't look like he was putting in any effort, but Mark's gave away how much pain he was in. Chan rips Mark's hand from around your wrist, pushing him back. Mark falls down to the floor.
“You're sleeping with him aren't you? Fucking whore.” Mark screams. Chan chuckles, taking two steps towards Mark, punching him in the face. You can hear the thump from his body dropping to the floor followed by the cries as he holds his face.
“We're not done! You won't find anyone like me! You're mine!” Mark screams.
Chan turns around to face you, and you weren't sure if it was because he saved you, or you were drunk, maybe a bit of both. But you walked up to him, grabbed his face, and quickly pressed your lips to his. Chan wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you in closer. You can hear Mark swearing as San pulls him out the front door.
You break away from the kiss. You can't look Chan in the eyes. You turn away, your eyes now searching for Sam, and when you find her, her eyes are wide with a giant smile on her face. You push through the crowd, leaving Chan standing there as you grab her arm, dragging her into the kitchen. You open a bottle of something, you don't even care what it is. You put the bottle to your lips, chugging it, ignoring the burning sensation in your throat.
“Bitch.” Sam gasps as you put the bottle back down onto the counter, breathing heavily.
“Did I just do that?” You ask, staring at your best friend.
“Yeah.” She laughs. “Yes you did.”
“Oh my god.” You groan, drinking a little more.
“Okay, alright.” She laughs, taking the bottle from your hand. “Let's not black out.” She murmurs. It was too late. You were already gone.
The next morning, you wake up with the worst headache in the world. Sleeping on the couch for the last few days definitely did not help your body when it desperately needed to recover. You were sore, stiff and felt like you'd been run over by a truck. And then you remembered ending things with Mark.
“Fuck.” You gasp, dropping your head into your hands.
“Everything okay, beautiful?” Hyunjin asks, walking into the living room, plopping down onto the couch beside you.
“I broke up with Mark.” You murmur.
“It's about time, y/n.” Jeongin chimes in.
“Yeah, honestly. He's fucking awful, and that's coming from me.” Seungmin chuckles.
“Yeah, no, I know he was. But I just… I don't know what to do now.” You say. “All my stuff is there… and I have nowhere to go.”
“The fuck are we then? Did we become temporary housing and no one told me?” Minho asks. “You've been here for days, y/n. Let's just go get your stuff and make it official.” Changbin smiles.
“That's really sweet you guys… but.” You trail off.
“But what? You can't live with 8 guys?” Felix laughs.
“I can't sleep on this fucking couch anymore.” You fake cry. “My back… it hurts so bad.”
Everyone laughs.
“Well, it's a good thing there's a bedroom ready for you then.” Chan smiles.
You hadn't seen him since you kissed him. That you remembered very, very vividly, and you couldn't help but feel embarrassed. In what world would any of these gods like men, actually like you?
“Wait.” You pause, thinking about what Chan said. “A bedroom?” You ask.
“Of course.” He smiles. “You think we'd ask you to move in here and make you sleep on the couch?” Han laughs. “I mean… Seungmin or Minho might but not the rest of us.”
“You're not wrong.” Seungmin smiles.
“Wow.” You laugh. “Thank you guys.”
“Let’s not get all sappy here.” Minho mumbles. “Can we go get your stuff now?”
“Yeah.” You smile.
The nine of you get ready to head over to your old shared apartment with Mark, unsure of what was going to happen.
You stood outside the door, the number 7 on the door looked different, even though it had only been a few days. You took a deep breath, glancing over at the 8 men that were waiting a little down the hall. You had told them that you needed to do this part by yourself. You were worried that if he opened the door and all of them were standing there, he might end up in a fit of rage. Though, you should have known better that he would end up in one regardless. You knocked on the door, putting your hands behind your back as you waited for him to answer. The door was pulled open, and Mark looked shocked to see you, before a smug ‘I knew she would be back’ look spread across his face.
“Y/N.” He breathes. You put your hand up to stop him from saying whatever he wanted to next.
“I'm just here to grab my stuff.” You explain, avoiding any eye contact with him. He doesn't move out of your way. You want to go inside and start packing the things that belong to you but he stands there still staring.
“Y/N.” He says in a low tone. “Don't be like that, baby.” He smiles. “C'mon. You know you wanna come back home.”
“Actually, what I'd like, is for you to get the fuck out of my way so I can get my stuff and go.” You say, giving Mark your best, annoyed smile.
“And if I don't?” He asks. “If I don't get out of your way? Then what? You gonna punch me like your little boyfriend did?” He mocks.
“No.” You sigh. “But they might hit you.” You say, motioning down the hallway. Mark peeks his head around the door frame, seeing 8 angry and annoyed looking men leaning against the wall.
“You’re such a bitch.” He mumbles, stepping out of your way. You smile, waving to the guys to come with you inside.
You walk past Mark, and can hear him grumbling as each man steps inside. They're all taller, more muscular, better looking, smarter, and funnier than Mark was, and he knew it too.
“Lets get this done, and get the fuck out of here.” You say, everyone scatters to tackle a room. It took the nine of you 4.5 hours, and a trillion questions about what was yours, for you all to finally finish. Mark didn't help at all, and that wasn't a surprise. He didn't want you to leave or leave him, and he was sure to continuously let you know throughout the afternoon.
“Y/N, wait.” Mark says, as you follow the guys out of the apartment. You don't wait, until he grabs your wrist again.
“Let go.” You spit. “This didn't end well for you the last time and it won't end well this time either.”
“Just wait a fucking minute.” He grumbles. “Don't go. Stay with me. Please.”
“No.” You deadpan. “I have no interest in being lied to or cheated on any longer. I hope I never see you again.”
You rip your wrist from his grip, walking down the hall.
“I'll have you again! You'll see! You'll be back when they inevitably kick your ass out!” He screams.
If only he knew how that would never happen.
“Ready?” Changbin asks, grinning from ear to ear. His hand was on the door knob for your room, and honestly you were so excited.
“Yes! Please open it.” You say, nearly falling over from excitement. He turns the knob, opening the door and your jaw is almost on the floor. It was exactly your style, a nice queen bed sitting in the middle of the room that was painted your favorite color. Everything matched, every single part of the room was your exact vibe and you were eternally grateful.
You had put a lot of your stuff in storage, since they had all told you that you wouldn't need a lot of it. To be honest you thought they were full of shit, but here they were, definitely not full of shit.
“We'll let you get settled.” Chan smiles, ushering the men to leave you be.
“Thank you guys. Really. I love it.” You smile.
It felt weird. To have people who truly cared for you like they did. You were worried that they would turn on you, because that seems to be the trend for people in your life. Your mom, dad, Mark, past friends. There was always something that made them leave you. You already felt a strong bond with all 8 of them, so you hoped nothing like that would happen but honestly, you can never truly prepare for the future.
That night, you sat outside on the front porch by yourself, wrapped in one of your new blankets from your new room. It was almost entirely pitch black out, almost silent except for the sounds of cars passing and the faint sounds of people walking by. The only light you had was the cherry from your roach, each time you took a puff, as well as the stars that scattered throughout the sky. The moon was high, shining down on the trees. It was a truly beautiful night.
You felt so relieved and free tonight. Mark hated when you smoked weed, so you weren't ever able to. But now with him out of the picture, you were excited to be able to partake in your favorite way to relax and unwind. You inhaled a long puff, slowly blowing it back out, enjoying the way it was making you feel. You weren’t very high, but it was enough. You lean your head back, closing your eyes, taking a breath when you hear a noise. A grunt, maybe. Your eyes shoot open, you see Jeongin walking towards the front steps of the house. As he walks closer, you see him more clearly under the front door light. There's blood dripping down his face. Your stomach sinks. He looks mad. You stand up, dropping your blanket on the porch, rushing towards him.
“Hey, Jeongin.” You start, popping up in front of him.
His eyes. They're red.
“Are you okay?” You ask, motioning towards the blood. He doesn't respond. He doesn't move. It doesn't even look like he's breathing. You can feel the tension surrounding you and him. It was making your stomach churn.
He stares at you, it almost feels like his eyes are burning through your skin.
Your eyes close.
When they open, the sun is shining through your window. You're laying in your bed, your blanket, that you dropped covering you.
What the fuck happened last night?

🧛♂️ VAMPIRE! STRAY KIDS SERIES
Chris // Changbin // Jisung // Hyunjin // Seungmin // Minho // Felix
«I dare you to,» your friend pondered, before mumbling suggestively, «spend a night all alone at the haunted Manor.»
«What?!» you shrieked in disbelief as a chill ran down your spine at the mere mention of said house. The Forest Manor was a house surrounded in mystery; it didn’t look decadent, so it definitely had owners who looked after it, the gothic architecture gave it a mysterious and almost inaccessible aura and on top of this, the cases where people - blinded by courage, tried to enter the huge mansion were definitely not rare.
However, no one of them ever returned and so, through the years, numerous legends had been told: the most popular being about dangerous and thirsty vampires living in Forest Manor.
«You can refuse, if you want,» another one of your friends smirked mischievously, «but you will be called “coward” for the rest of your life.» they laughed, and your blood boiled.
If this was going to be your punishment for saying you believed in the existence of supernatural being, then you were going to accept it; screw your friends and their obnoxious and close mindset.
«Okay.» you simply said, clenching your fists together, trying to avoid acknowledging the fact that honestly, you were scared.
With your hands tightly gripping your skirt as your life depended on it, you walked through the most external part of the forest, ignoring the faint and frequent howls you heard not too distant from where you were, inevitably giving you chills.
“Why can’t I shut up,” you thought, trying to keep your breath even; walking alone in the dark through the forest was a terrifying experience, especially because - probably due to your fear, you had the feeling you heard steps every now and then. “I’m going to die in here, I know it.” you were about to trip in your dress, which unconventionally got stuck into a bundle of tree roots, and as you exasperatedly sighed at your own clumsiness and kneeled to untangle it, you could have sworn you heard someone chuckle just next to you.
Needless to say, you couldn’t see anything in the dark, and you finally regretted not to have brought a torch with you; it would have made you an easy target, but at least you could have been able to see something instead of letting your imagination run wild.
Probably, you spent hours wandering in the forest following the almost forgotten path that connected your village to the haunted Manor, but when you got there, no legend nor rumour could have prepared you for its singular beauty.
Rather than being centuries old, it seemed like it was merely a couple of years old, and you wondered whether you had walked on the wrong path; you carefully stepped out of the forest, and the threatening and dangerous aura made you froze in your tracks for a moment, almost making you feel like you were suffocating. You tensed up, feeling observed once again, your eyes rapidly scanning the iron gate and the stone wall running all around the house.
The Manor looked much bigger than you initially thought, and you wondered how many people could live in it; it was definitely too big for only one person. There was no sign of life inside; the lights were off, and the only source of light - beside the two small torches next to the iron gate, was the faint moonlight.
“I wonder, am I allowed to step closer?” you thought, and immediately, the threatening aura from the house seemed to vanish in thin air as soon as you took another step closer to the gate; you furrowed your brows, confused at what just happened. The feeling of being watched remained, but the tension and fear that you were feeling now were completely coming from your own soul; the Manor was now emitting an almost welcoming aura.
It was when you were about to touch the Manor’s gate that you stopped; what if someone really lived there? You could not trespass someone’s property like that, it wouldn’t be polite burst into someone’s house just because of a stupid bet.
With a sigh, you held your hand in mid-air, gradually retreating it until it was clutched against your chest once again; you made up your mind, you’d just climb on a tree and sleep there to be safe from the wolves, only to return in the morning and lie to your friends.
«Aw, leaving so soon?» someone near you chuckled, and you jolted your head towards your left in fear, not expecting for anyone to be there. A boy was looking at you with an amused smile and glimmering bright red eyes; he was sitting on the top of the stone wall, it being not too tall meant that the stranger was definitely a little bit too close to you.
«I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to disturb you.» you politely bowed your head, nervousness momentarily paralyzing your body, and the stranger hummed, crossing his legs and partially balancing his weight on his left hand, so that he was leaning towards you.
«Someone dared you to come here, am I right?» he said, his head tilted on his side and his hair delicately falling on his face; from his annoyed - yet somehow amused, tone of voice, he was clearly used to this. A rush of embarrassment washed over you, realizing that you shouldn’t have accepted the bet in the first place.
«I’m sorry, I will be going.» you hastily said, turning around and starting to take your leave.
«The worst thing I could do is send a young lady back home in the middle of the night - while the wolves are on a hunt.» his voice made you stop in your tracks and you curiously looked at him. «And the house seemed to have accepted your presence already.» the stranger said while quickly glancing behind his shoulders; you furrowed your brows, before jolting forwards as you saw the boy purposely letting himself fall behind the wall.
Strangely enough, you didn’t hear any sound, meaning that the boy didn’t fall and hurt himself; in less than a second, he was standing in front of the now slightly opened gate with an unbothered expression and his clothes neatly in perfect order, utterly confusing you.
«Would you like to come in?» he offered you his gloved hand, and you were sure that as soon as your gaze locked with his from up close, your heart skipped a beat.
The boy - which introduced himself as Chris, was exceptionally handsome to the point that he almost looked inhuman; his pale complexion made him look ethereal, and his natural plump and rosy lips made him look like he just walked out one of the fairy-tale books you used to read when you were younger.
His eyes, however, were a bright crimson red, and the more you looked at him, the more you felt hypnotized with a weird feeling of recalling those warm, big eyes; it was definitely almost if-
«Have we already met before?» you mumbled more to yourself, but Chris heard you nonetheless; his eyes widened for a moment, before his expression turned incredibly soft for a few seconds.
«I’m afraid not,» he shook his head; you nodded at him, feeling silly because, if you ever met someone as handsome, you would have remembered for sure, «at least, not in this lifetime.» you thought you heard Chris mumble, but something in his sudden nostalgic expression made you refrain from asking further.
A sudden close howl interrupted the silence of the night, startling you and making you instinctively take a step towards Chris as if you were unconsciously looking for protection; you gently placed your hand in his and he smiled, leading you inside.
If you believed that the Manor looked huge from the outside, you were in for a big surprise; Chris led you through so many countless halls that at some point, you believed that the house was under a spell making it appear smaller on the outside.
Despite the fact that it was your first night visiting the Manor, you couldn’t help but feel a wave of nostalgic familiarity as you passed through a certain hall, which Chris simply skipped instead of leading you in it.
«Where does it lead?» you politely asked him, your gaze locking with a dark mahogany door.
«My personal chambers.» Chris simply explained, before starting to walk away; you nodded, not wanting to result too nosy since you were allowed to spend the night in a safe place instead of the woods.
However, the fact that Chris purposely avoided taking you there made you furrow your brows as a countless questions formed into your head; there were other people living with him, but he didn’t skip the hallways leading to their chambers, so why did he purposely avoid his?
«Don’t think too much about it,» Chris chuckled from next to you, successfully interrupting your thoughts, «maybe, one day, I’ll let you in.» you immediately adverted his gaze from his, suddenly finding his suggestion not so chaste and innocent, anymore.
Chris eventually led you to his study room, where he used to spend his time reading and researching about the most various things and so, that’s how you spent most of your night: sitting on two expensive armchairs next to each other while talking.
Something you couldn’t wrap your head on was the fact that Chris seemed so familiar, to you: the way he talked, the way he would gently lead you anywhere you wanted him to without ever letting go of your hand, the way he looked at you.
It was almost as if you knew him, but Chris had already said you never met before that night, so you decided that you probably should have stopped thinking about it.
Another thing that made you feel strange was the fact that you were indeed staying in a Manor supposedly inhabited by vampires, but you didn’t feel anything besides tranquillity and occasional nervousness, but the latter was completely because of Chris’ presence. From the moment he told you that you would have been safe, you believed him, and never doubted it ever again for the rest of the night.
The door of Chris’ studio opened without notice, slightly startling you, and a tall boy with blonde hair reaching his shoulders suddenly bursted in, looking distressed and definitely on a hurry; his eyes were a bright crimson red as well.
«Chris,» the boy said, apparently, he still didn’t took notice about the fact that you were in the room as well, «where are the necromancers? I have an issue afoot.»
«Hyunjin.» Chris simply answered, his stern tone completely different from the one he had been using with you; your eyes were still locked on Hyunjin, which immediately looked at you with wide eyes before his features eventually illuminated in a nice, friendly smile.
«Oh! You’re finally back!» he said, waving a hand towards you, which weakly waved at him as well, even if you were confused at his words.
«I’ll go ask Han, I bet he knows.» and with that, he left with the same hurry he invaded your small comfortable bubble.
Finally glancing at Chris, you couldn’t help but giggle about the fact that he was staring at the now closed door with an exasperated expression while he kept rubbing his temples.
«So, do necromancers exist as well?» you asked him, momentarily forgetting about the fact that Hyunjin just acted like you knew each other.
«As well?» Chris looked back at you, with a confused frown, and for an unknown reason, you decided to confess; after all, you were not the first one visiting the Forest Manor because of a bet, right?
«I said that I believed that supernatural beings exist,» you admitted, your gaze drifting to the numerous shelves filled with books adorning the walls, «my friends dared me to spend the night here, since rumours say it’s inherited by vampires.»
«And you believe in it?» Chris asked you with a gentle tone; you knew that, differently from your friends, he didn’t ask about it with the intention to judge you for your beliefs, and you also knew that common human people didn’t normally have bright red eyes. You shrugged, and Chris accepted your silent vague answer; despite the fact that he had so many things to tell you, he knew that it was still too early for that.
Eventually, somewhere during your talk, you drifted off to sleep, the vague feeling of a warm blanket being draped over you making you wake up for a second; you thought that your mind also registered the fact that Chris kissed the top of your head, but you weren’t sure.
«You’re alive?!» was the first thing you heard from your friends as soon as they saw you walk back into the village completely unharmed; you scoffed at them, before they started asking you a countless numbers of questions.
Of course, you didn’t say anything about Chris or your night, but simply said that a family lived there and gladly hosted you from the night.
Since the first night you’ve been at the Forest Manor, your visits became pretty much frequent; if at first you went there during the night, you eventually ended up visiting during various times of the day. Needless to say, you did it in order to see Chris, which was absolutely happy anytime he saw you walking out the forest and towards the Manor.
Two months later, you were absolutely sure that you developed a crush for Chris; he was gentle, caring, mature, funny. Chris was definitely everything you were looking for in a man, and definitely no one in your village had ever made your heart race as he could. Sometimes, you had the feelings that your crush was reciprocated, but Chris kept acting neutral about it, still leading you around the Manor while politely holding your hand and, sometimes, not leaving it as soon as you reached your destination.
By now, you’ve met every one of the boys living with him, and the fact that every single one of them acted like Hyunjin when he first saw you, confused you to no end.
However, they never explained what they meant with their «We’ve missed you!» or «Chris is finally in a good mood now that you’re back.», and eventually, you dropped the topic.
Even if you wanted to know, you knew it was better not to be too insistent about it; despite the fact that they never confirmed it, you were almost completely sure that they were vampires, and even if they somehow considered you a friend, you knew better than to get on their nerves.
Strong arms partially held you up and you were instantly pulled towards a boy’s chest, which was holding you like you were made of crystal about to shatter in million pieces; you felt so weak that you couldn’t hold your head up, and the sound of the boy’s choked pleads interrupted by loud sobs made your heart clench in sorrow.
You knew you were dreaming, but even so, you couldn’t move as you pleased, you couldn’t do anything; it almost felt like you were remembering something from someone else’s life.
«Please,» the boy spoke, his voice sounding dangerously like Chris’, «I can’t lose you again.» even if you felt weaker each passing second, the only thing you wanted to do was to reach out and comfort the boy, which continued to cry while holding you up.
Eventually, he re-arranged your position, holding your head up in the crook of his neck as he held your body close like it was the last time. The feeling of his cold and gentle hands sliding from your cheek to your hair were the only thing you could feel, since the “you” in your dream still had her eyes closed.
«I’ll come back,» you heard yourself say, «I always do.» you felt hurt at your own words, knowing that any kind of pain the boy was going through, he didn’t deserve it; finally, you opened your eyes, looking up to see Chris’ shaking frame, his tears falling on your face as he repeatedly shook his head.
The crimson gentle eyes you were used to see were now wide and filled with desperation, and out the corner of your eye, you saw yourself weakly trying to lift your hand in order to wipe away his tears; however, you were too weak, and your hand fell back on your lap without managing to touch Chris’ ethereal features.
«Don’t go, not again.» he pleaded, «Not this time, not again.» he kept repeating, and as if you felt the “you” in your dream slowly dying, you felt yourself waking up in your own reality.
To say that you spent the whole day feeling distressed was an understatement; no matter what you did, you kept having strange glimpses of memories involving Chris that were definitely not yours. Or, were they?
Slowly, you spent your day re-arranging together the pieces you got: Chris seemed incredibly familiar and he acted as if he had known you for a while, his friends talked to you as if they had been waiting for you, you were the only human that was allowed to visit the Manor anytime she wanted, and now, you kept having random flashbacks about Chris. You were sure you were about to have a headache from thinking so hard, but you needed answers.
Contrarily to the other times you went to see Chris, this time you didn’t pay attention to your dress; you acted on instinct, your feet leading you towards the Manor, where you eventually found Chris sitting on top of the stone wall, exactly like the first night you met.
As soon as your eyes met, you were certain about your theory: Chris was your soulmate.
«How many times did you have to go through that?» you asked weakly, standing few steps away from him; Chris furrowed your brows in confusion, before his eyes eventually widened; in a blink of an eye, he was in front of you, his gloved hand ghosting over the outline of your jaw.
«I’m pretty old, by now I think I’ve lost count.» he admitted with a smile, and you felt your heart clench at his words; you felt angry at yourself – actually at your past selves, for being so selfish.
«I’m so sorry,» you mumbled weakly, before throwing yourself into Chris’ strong arms, the sensation foreign but yet so familiar; his arms circled your helpless frame, pulling your body close to his, «I’ve always been selfish, I’m sorry.» you were crying, your tears falling on Chris’ expensive shirt and your shoulders shaking.
«I always let you choose, and I always will.» he gently confessed, caressing your back and trying to help you calm down, «If you were to choose your human life again, I’ll wait for you and find you again.» despite the fact that in this life, you’ve known Chris for a little less than three months, you’ve never felt so loved.
That night, was the first time Chris let you into his bedroom, and you understood the reason why he never let you in the same moment he closed the door behind you; a wave of memories washed over you, consecutive fragments of moments spent with Chris. You felt your knees go weak, you were sure you would have fallen due to the intensity of it all, if it weren’t for Chris wrapping his arms around your waist.
Chris was sitting on the bed now, his back resting against few pillow pressed against the headboard; you were sitting next to him but partially sideways, so that you could constantly look at him, your legs were thrown over his lap.
During all the time you spent at the Manor, both you and Chris kept a reasonable distance between the two of you, but since you somehow regained your memories, you wanted to keep him as close as possible. For the first time since you met, Chris had took off his leather gloves, his touch was as cold as ice and left shivers along your skin.
«I missed it.» he murmured, his eyes focused on the trail of goosebumps on your arms erupting anytime he ran his fingertips on your skin.
That night, Chris confessed everything to you; he was a vampire, and – confirming your theory, the two of you were soulmates. Somehow, he always managed to find you and every time, you always managed to fall in love with him; however, in the end, you’d always choose your human life, trusting the fact that you’d meet again.
Hesitantly, Chris answered to your question about the longest time he had to wait for you, saying that he was about to go crazy.
«Two hundred years are pretty long, I thought you wouldn’t reincarnate anymore, that I had lost you for good,» Chris’ gaze was unfocused, before he eventually erupted into a smile, «but then you walked out of the woods because of a bet.» you held his hands in a tight grip, aware that you couldn’t even imagine how much he had suffered because of your selfishness.
«You don’t deserve a soulmate like me.» you confessed, but he shook his head.
«What kind of soulmate would I be if I choose for you?» somewhere, deep in your soul, Chris’ words made you realize that maybe, this time you weren’t so afraid of living for eternity anymore.
«I’ve seen so many versions of you during the centuries,» he chuckled, distracting you from your thoughts, «It was like… seeing your adolescence’s stages.» you covered your face in embarrassment, asking him which one was the worst. «Oh, the vampire hunter definitely gave me a hard time.» Chris admitted with a sigh, recalling the time he had to physically fight you in order to defend himself.
«Did I hurt you?» you immediately asked, scooping closer to his frame, eager to listen to the things that you did in your previous lives.
Chris simply shook his head, looking at you with malice, «You got your memories back just in time.»
«During a fight? And how could that happen?» you scoffed, not believing to Chris’ words until you took notice of the emotions his eyes held; with extremely slow movements, he lifted his hand to your chin, his eyes repeatedly shifting from your eyes to your lips as he started inching closer. Judging by his sudden smug smile, you were sure that Chris could hear your heartbeat hammering in your chest, and you inched closer as well, meeting his lips halfway.
As you felt Chris’ full lips on yours, your head started to spin; you definitely couldn’t imagine that a wave of such intense emotion would fall over you as soon as you kissed him.
To you, his lips tasted like home, the familiar sense of security and love that had irremediably made you fall in love with him all over again, life after life.
To Chris, your lips tasted like a bittersweet déjà-vu; he’s had countless of first kisses with you, and he inevitably fell in love with each single different reincarnation of you, but still, you always ended up slipping away from his grasp.
Chris’ hand moved on your nape in a swift, gentle movement, tilting your head just to deepen the kiss, as if he could kiss his own desperation away; he knew how the story would have gone, but nonetheless, he loved you enough to wait for you for eternity, if he needed.
Weakly gripping on the collar of his shirt, you sighed into the kiss, pulling Chris even further into you; even if you didn’t want to mention it, you kept having small flashes about your past lives, and so you wanted to keep on kissing him, just to know more about what you could not remember.
A hiss escaped your mouth as Chris unintentionally grazed your inner lip with one of his fangs, and you parted from him, finally taking him his appearance: not only Chris’ eyes seemed to glow a deeper shade of red now that he smelled a little droplet of blood, but also, his lips were slightly parted and his fangs were exposed.
However, the thing that completely felt your heart sink in your stomach, was the fact that Chris had signs of dried tears on his cheeks. Instantly, you reached out to gently cup his face, not caring about the fact that you were bleeding and he could have killed you, and Chris simply tightly closed his eyes.
«I’m sorry,» he sighed, «I thought you wouldn’t come back.» you hugged him without thinking, your eyes blankly staring at the wall.
You didn’t see Chris for the next week, since you were forced to stay in bed due to a sudden high fever. Strangely enough, anytime you slept, your dreams were composed by a strange mixture composed of memories about your past lives and memories about your present life, to the point where you couldn’t tell what was the truth and what was caused by your fever.
Forced to stay at home, you definitely had enough time to think about what were your intentions, and day after day, you managed to realize what you really wanted to do and so, on a Thursday morning, despite your fever wasn’t completely gone, you quickly washed up and dressed yourself, heading towards the Forest Manor.
«Where is Chris?» you asked Seungmin, which eyes immediately widened over the book he was busy reading.
«Uh,» he said, his gaze nervously shifting towards Minho, sitting next to him on the leather couch.
«There’s a new restaurant in town,» Minho said, covering up for Seungmin’s lack of explanation, «He and the others went there.» With a scoff, you put your hands on your hips, rage and jealousy bubbling up inside you.
«I came here with a fever telling him I was ready to stay and he goes around feeding on other girls?»
«Girls?» Seungmin questioned, furrowing his brows.
«You’re staying?!» Minho exclaimed at the same time, excitement evident in his voice; you plopped yourself on the leather chair in front of the two vampires, which were looking at you with two different emotions plastered on his face.
«I made up my mind.» you told Minho, which eagerly nodded, whispering a soft «I’m happy, then.»
«Isn’t he feeding from… the ones who works… you know…» you tried to be as eloquent as you could with a simple hand gesture. Of course, you were thinking about the worst option: brothels.
Deep inside, you knew that Chris would never do this to you, but in that very moment, your fever suggested you that it was the most plausible excuse. Seungmin eventually interrupted your thoughts with his contagious laugh, and Minho snorted.
«I can promise you he’s not. He’s the shame of our family,» he said, shaking his head, «He feeds from animals.»
«Oh!» you replied immediately, your cheeks heating up in embarrassment. «Of course, animals have blood as well… I'm… an idiot.» you muttered to yourself, but they heard you nonetheless, and did their best to chuckle without sounding too disrespectful. Despite that, you decided to wait for his return.
«Oi, we’re home-oh, hi!» Chris said, entering the living room, and your eyes locked with his lips, still faintly tainted red.
«Yeah, we’re going out.» both Minho and Seungmin said, walking towards the other boys now standing behind Chris. Hyunjin and Changbin looked at each other with furrowed brows, while Han and Jeongin were already on their way to come and sit next to you, happy about your presence in the Manor, claiming that everything was more enjoyable anytime you were around.
«But we just came back?» Felix questioned, and Minho quickly grabbed his forearm, not bothering to repeat himself.
«You’re gonna be alone until tomorrow night.» Seungmin winked at you, before patting Chris’ on his shoulder and exiting the room along with the others.
Despite the awkwardness of the situation, you couldn’t bring yourself to meet Chris’ gaze, nor to bring up your decision.
The awkward nervousness you felt, eventually, completely disappeared as you and Chris changed for the night and laid together on his bed.
It wasn’t the first time you spent at the Manor, but now that you made up your mind, it definitely felt way more intimate. Chris was sitting on the bed, balancing himself with his left hand lazily spread out behind him, while his right hand was draped around your waist, pulling your chest flush to his; you were straddling him, the thin fabric of your night dress not leaving much to the imagination, its fabric pooled around your thighs and your arms gently cupping Chris’ cheeks.
«I need you, I-» Chris mumbled against your throat; despite his skin was cold, his kisses made you feel like you were burning up. His voice was extremely hoarse, and you deduced it was from his hunger. «I need your blood,» he said, his hand tightly gripping your waist with a strained whine, «I need you.» his voice was low, and his arms were holding your body impossibly close to his.
Despite the fact that you were sitting on top of Chris and he was occasionally glancing at you with eyes full of desire, you didn’t have the slightest trace of control over the situation.
With a breathless whimper, Chris’ hand slid inside your nightgown, tightly gripping on your thigh as you completely sat on his lap in a silent answer; now that you were completely pressed against his body, you could feel that he was already hard. You knew Chris loved you, you knew Chris desired you, but still, knowing that only you could reduce him in that state made you feel incredibly powerful; knotting your hand in his hair, you connected your lips at the same time you hesitantly grinded on him, swallowing with your mouth the surprised moan that escaped your lover’s lips.
Chris eagerly returned the kiss with fervour, and it quickly turned into a passionate make out session, your body shaking lightly anytime you felt Chris’ fangs graze on your skin.
«I want to be yours, Chris,» you murmured against his lips, as he effortlessly rolled you on the bed, so that he was on top of you.
«You already are,» he murmured back, tilting his head just enough to deepen your steamy kiss, his tongue making you momentarily forget about what you wanted to say.
«No, yours… yours.» you whimpered, unsure whether what you were saying had any sense, but, in the moment you felt Chris’ knee spreading your thighs and his full lips closing on your lower lip just to pull on it as his head drew back, you swore you were about to lose all the traces of sanity you had.
The thing was: earlier, you didn’t have enough courage to confess him that you wanted him to turn you, but somehow, the feeling of Chris’ erection pressed against your inner thigh made you think that it was definitely the best moment in the world to ask your boyfriend - which happened to be a vampire, to turn you into one as well.
It was like you could hear the imaginary gears inside Chris’ head spinning as he gradually slowed down the pace of his kisses. What were movements purely driven by lust were now once again gentle, unsure and tender movements.
«What are you asking about, exactly?» Chris asked, kiss lips in moving on the side of your neck; you took a big sigh, circling his waist with your arms.
«I want to stay with you,» you confessed, unsure on which words you should use, for eternity.»
Chris’ body tensed up, and he slowly pulled away from you in order to sit back up, balancing himself on his ankles, he run a hand through his already messy hair, before eventually caressing your thighs in a loving manner.
«Are you sure about what you’re asking?» Chris mumbled, his red crimson eyes burning into yours, and immediately you nodded, sitting up as well.
«I spent a lot of time thinking about it. I’ve been selfish, and yet, you still waited for me.» you explained, holding his gaze, «I don’t want you to suffer again, and I don’t want to be parted from you again.» Chris attentively listened to you, before eventually, his serious expression turned into a soft one, a gentle smile adorning his full lips.
«If that’s what you want,» Chris gently pushed on your shoulder, not enough to hurt but enough to make you fall back on the mattress, «Enjoy your last night as a human.» he gave you a sly smile, before ripping the fabric of your nightdress.
«What a show off.» your laugh was cut off by a surprised moan, as Chris’ lips closed around your nipple.
Chris spent the night worshipping your body; he made sure to kiss almost every millimetre on your skin, mumbling praises and confessions of love every now and then. You didn’t know how much time he spent with his head between your legs, but you were certain about the fact that you already came twice and your legs were shaking.
The feeling of his fingers and tongue working together to lead you towards another orgasm made you squirm both in anticipation and both in a slight different need. As much as you loved the feeling of Chris’ tongue repeatedly teasing your wetness, you kept growing impatient with the desire of feeling him buried inside you. Chris’ lips harshly sucked on your clit as his fingers curled inside you, and another orgasm washed over you unexpectedly, your legs tensing up before weakly falling back on the bed.
«Can you come again?» Chris husky voice mumbled, kissing your now sweaty body all the way back to your lips; completely aware about the fact that you probably created a small pool of wetness under your lower half, you nodded, running your thumb over Chris’ plump lips and smearing the remaining proofs about the fact that you came not one, not two, but three times thanks to his tongue.
With a smile, Chris tilted his head enough to suck your thumb into his mouth, his tongue swirling around the digit as he aligned himself with your entrance before bottoming out with a single thrust. Chris head fell in the crook of your shoulder, and you were thankful your thumb wasn’t in his mouth anymore because you felt his jaw clench at the point it sounded almost painful.
«I missed you so much,» you heard him murmur on your skin, and you gently caressed his hair, kissing his temple as a doubt made its way in your head.
«Did you ever-»
«Don’t even think about finishing that sentence,» Chris cut your words, lifting his head up just enough to look at you in the eyes, «I could never lay with anyone else,» he mumbled, shaking his head, «I would never.»
Even if you already knew the answer to your silent doubt, hearing those words from him made you feel incredibly better, and incredibly loved. Chris had started moving his hips in a slow pace by now, clearly holding back and being too concerned trying not to hurt you by being too rough.
«Show me how much you missed me, then.» you said, lifting your hips to change the angle of his thrusts just to make him reach a little deeper than before, action which earned you a choked whimper from Chris.
«Good luck.» Chris scoffed, his crimson eyes burning into yours as he was re-adjusting his position; from the moment he started moving again, you completely lost the ability to think due to how good you were feeling.
The fact that vampires were faster than human beings definitely came in hand; Chris’ movements were passionate, his fingers were alternating between stimulating your clit and your breasts, and his lips continuously made sure to leave an intricate pattern of kisses along the expanse of skin within his reach.
Needless to say, you quickly approached your orgasm, and as Chris felt you clench around him and gradually tensing up, he slowed his pace, but kept stimulating your clit with his fingers, just to bite on the side of your neck as you finally came with a loud moan.
The sensation of an orgasm was per se intense, but the bite of a vampire, somehow, prolonged the sensation as long as they fed from you; you were gripping Chris’ back, your nails sinking into his skin and drawing deep red lines, before eventually, you lost consciousness because your neck was burning.
The first thing you noticed when you woke up, was Chris sitting on the bed next to you, quietly reading a book; you groaned, rolling on your side.
Despite your throat was burning as if you’ve never drank anything in your life, you also felt like your senses were heightened; you could hear what the boys were talking about from different part of the house, the sensation unusual but definitely something you could get used to.
With a quick movement, you swatted the book away from Chris’ hand, not caring about it flying on the floor, and placed your head on his thighs.
«Good morning, sunshine.» Chris chuckled at the fact that the first thing you did as soon as you woke up as a vampire, was cuddling on his side; his hand brushed your hair, and you hummed.
«Thirsty,» you croaked, ignoring the stinging sensation you felt in your lungs. Minho walked in the room few moments later, since he clearly heard what you said; he stopped on the doorway, holding to large glasses filled with blood in his hands.
«Oh my God,» he sighed, «You look dead.»
«Yeah?» you retorted, quickly sitting up in anticipation of finally drinking something, «Go look yourself in the mirror.»
«I fucking hate you.» Minho laughed, incredulous, and you could hear the others – which were curious about when you would wake up but they didn’t want to disturb you too much, laughing as well.
The moment when Chris held you tight to his body without having to measure his strength in fear to hurt you, you knew you made the right choice.
«I’m sorry it took me so much.» you confessed, eager to learn everything about your new life and eager about spending it with Chris.
«It was worth it.» you heard him whisper, followed by a content, soft sigh.
