“What can you tell me about it?” Asking open-ended questions had been a hard lesson to learn since she’d had few people to practice on, those who had ferried over to the island for their jobs. Once a person got started on anything they thought was interesting, whole hours would fly by, speckled with information Seren wouldn’t have been able to figure out otherwise.

A whine, and he's quick to place his hand on his overly affectionate brother's face, pushing him away soon after. Did he seriously have to be so clingly? After spending a few hours in the Dalmasca Estersand, fighting cactite and even a wolf, the last thing he wanted was to be showered with affection. Nothing against Hinata, he was just irritated and felt gross.

"It's not much... But I figured we could use the wolf pelt for something. Or maybe just even turn it into leather."

He rubs the cheek where Hinata had pecked it, the needle from the cactite which he pulled out still stung. Yuuta really should have been more careful than let himself get overwhelmed like that, but at least it wasn't the wolves that gave him injuries.

"Stiilll... I got us some good gil. Maybe we can get something nice for dinner? We have enough to maybe eat out tonight, right?"

Hinata gave a muffled kind of sound as Yuuta pushed him away and his arms flailed up and down without finding purchase for a moment and he stepped back reluctantly, a pronounced pout on his lips. He puffed his cheeks up, resembling a chubby Moogle more than anything. 

“It’s a great haul, but... You’re hurt! And what’s more, you could have run into the saurian, ever think of that? That’s dangerous!” Hinata really disliked how he was prone to imagine the worst case scenario ever when it came to Yuuta, but he was simply very easy to worry about, and if he wandered off alone, how was he supposed to look out for him properly? 

“If we make it into leather, we could make ourselves some new sandals and maybe some new clothes as well...”

Hinata wished he knew healing magic, because Yuuta’s cheek really looked sore. Magic was rare to begin with so that was like wishing for the sun, he knew that. He sighed and finally smiled, hands on his hips.

“Well, okay, as long as we don’t spend it all. So, nothing fancy. It’s your hard-earned gil, Yuuta-kun. You’ve got to put some of it aside. There’s a day tomorrow as well and the day after that, and the one after that!” But something nice to eat for once...? That sounded wonderful. Yuuta might have hunted today, but Hinata had been working a bit as well, and he could use the pick-me-up.

doing the skypirate raids again and leofard is definitely my favourite raid character. he's a pirate. he goes to flying demon ships for the lulz. he's got a giant portrait of his mum in his room/office. in ew he calls you master/mistress in public. what a guy
