— She's part of an species called "naiadians": fish/amphibian female creatures that in former timelines were Outworld's natives, but during Mortal Kombat 1 timeline they're experiments from Earthrealm.

— Pearl was part of those experiments until the scientific in charge of her kidnapped her to Outworld, where after being immorally experimented on, she was left alone to her luck in a world that she didn't knew at all. She did her best to survive until one day she got caught trying to steal food from the palace, Mileena took pity on her and asked Sindel to allow her to stay, and she did for a while...until an indicent happened, where a certain sorcerer tricked her into working for him while hiding his true kind of experiments from her. Once she found out, she was going to tell the Empress the truth, but Shang Tsung threatened into dragging her with him, and after all, who would believe in the filthy fish woman who appeared out of nowhere?

— She ran, so far where no one would ever find her...but luckily, after the events of Mortal Kombat 1 itself, she found a friend, Reptile/Syzoth, who gave her a temporal home for a while...until she heard of a certain colony of people with a disease known as tarkat.

— She was just curious at first, but decided to stay and help once she met Baraka, whom she felt deeply sympathetic for after knowing what he and his people went through. She managed to brighten their days by cooking and doing other labors for them, as well as singing with her chants to calm their pain symptoms, and taking care of the younger ones.

— She did lived her teenage years in México, so she knows spanish and english because the laboratory she was born in was probably from United States.

— She's great at dancing reggaeton.

— She once had daughters, she's still hoping they're somewhere where she can find them one day.

— She would wag her tail like a puppy if she's excited/too happy.

— Reptile/Syzoth considers her as some sort of sister.

— It took her a long while to even touch Baraka's hand, she's not afraid of getting infected at all, just a bit shy and afraid when it comes to love...until she gets confident, then she's VERY affectionate.

— Her voice sounds like Kimberly Brooks, specially Rosalind Starling (Lollipop Chainsaw) and Bab Juju (Skylanders).

— In spanish dub she would be voiced by Melissa Gedeón, and in japanese dub Mariya Ise.

Spyro: Alright, guess we're putting you down.

George: So how do you fix- W-what?!

Spyro: Gill, get Cali, we're putting him down.

Gill Grunt: Alright!

George: Gill, wait! Spyro, what's gotten into you?! What're you saying??

Spyro: George, what's gotten you so worked up?

George: What's gotten me-? You're gonna put down a teammate because he got stuck!

Spyro: ...Yeah.

George: Why?!

Spyro: Oh, George. I know all this might seem a little odd to you, but this is just basic procedure.

George: What do you mean "basic procedure"??

Spyro: Well, a Skylander's portal traveling is meant to be almost second nature, but if they get stuck during that process... we kill 'em.

George: You phrased that like- like it explained anything but it didn't.

Spyro: George, I know this seems harsh. It might even sound cruel! But it's just the way things have to be. Ghost Roaster understands that more than anybody, don't you, Ghost?

Ghost Roaster: (casually) Yep, just basic procedure.

George: Wait, you're actually okay with all of this?

Ghost Roaster: ...Yeah.

George: But- but you're gonna die!

Ghost Roaster: Yeah, but it's basic procedure.

Spyro: It's basic procedure.

George: (getting increasingly distressed) What the fuck...

Cali: Got here as soon as I could!

Spyro: Great! Did you bring the stick?

George: The stick?

Gill Grunt: For putting Ghost Roaster down!

George: Jesus Christ- or whatever you guys believe in- You guys are gonna beat him to death with a stick?!

Spyro: ...Basic procedure-

George: Stop talking about basic procedure! Don't you see how insane this all sounds?!! I mean, put aside the fact we're killing the guy, you guys have all kinds of weapons and tools and laser beams, and you guys are using a special stick?! A special stick?!!

Spyro: Yeesh, George, relax! We don't have some sort of "special stick" for things like this, that's barbaric!

Spyro: It's just gotta be a big one! Like this, here, see? (holds up comically large stick)

Ghost Roaster: Now that's a beating stick!

George: THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT ANY BETTER!

Spyro: Really, George, would you rather we use a small stick? That'd just be cruel.

Ghost Roaster: Dick.

George: Guys, come on! Seriously, just- just come on! Listen, back on Earth, when someone has something wrong with them we don't just kill 'em, we help them! Now I'm sure if you guys just give me a chance, I can help Ghost Roaster, we don't have to kill him! You guys are always on about the sanctity of life and the importance of keeping people safe, why not this? Come on, what'dya say?

Spyro: ...But that's not procedure.

George: Oh, come on!

Gill Grunt: It's just not how things are done.

Cali: And I've already got the stick...

George: Holy shit, well what kind of procedure is this? How often has this happened??

Spyro: Hmmm, twice I think? Yeah, I think it was twice.

Gill Grunt: Three times technically, but it was with a lead pipe one time, which was controversial.

(The Doom Raiders teleport in on the Portal)

Golden Queen: (evil laughter) I was wondering where you fools were holed up!

Spyro: Golden Queen!

Golden Queen: Your day of reckoning has finally arrived! Now begins the end of the so-called Skylanders! Doom Raiders, attack!!

Dr. Krankcase: Here we goo-

Dr. Krankcase: (suddenly starts glitching out on the portal) Oh- oh no- oh-god oh shit-

Golden Queen: Oh, come on, is he stuck?! Oh yeah, he- he's stuck, definitely stuck...

Golden Queen: Alright, gotta kill him.

Ghost Roaster: Hey, that's a twofer!

Golden Queen: You guys got a stick?

Spyro: Yeah we've got it-

George: Spyro, are you serious?! They're the bad guys! Why the hell are you giving them the stick-

George: (pinching bridge of his nose) -it's the basic procedure...

Spyro: It's basic procedure.

Golden Queen: It's just basic procedure.

George: (leaving) Alright, fuck you guys. Bye. Later. I'm gone.

Everyone: ...

Dr. Krankcase: We’ve managed to avoid drowning-

Spyro: What's that?

Dr. Krankcase: Nothing.

Orion Crestguard’s life was one of honor and duty, serving as a guardian of the United Reef Kingdoms and the legendary Mace of the Tides. Born into one of the kingdom’s great noble families, Orion was a trusted companion to Prince Kettlestein Gray. The two grew up exploring the coral-laden expanses of the kingdom, forging a bond that ran as deep as the oceans they called home.

When Prince Kettlestein was abducted, Orion was devastated, mourning the loss of his friend along with the rest of the kingdom. Years later, when the prince mysteriously returned, the joy was palpable—but Orion couldn’t shake a gnawing unease. The Kettlestein he had known was vibrant and full of life, yet this new prince, though outwardly charismatic, felt artificial, like a puppet performing a well-rehearsed act.

Orion’s suspicions deepened when the Crestguard family awoke one night to find the Mace of the Tides missing. Following the trail of the thief, Orion confronted "Kettlestein" in a secluded part of the palace. Armed with an old training trident, Orion demanded answers. The confrontation quickly turned into a fight, and Orion realized the truth—this was not his prince. The mimic, Zap, fought with unnatural strength and precision. Despite his best efforts, Orion was outmatched, escaping only by sheer willpower and managing to reclaim the mace before fleeing.

Returning to warn the kingdom, Orion was horrified to discover he had been framed. The mimic spun a convincing story, casting Orion as the traitor who had stolen the kingdom’s most precious artifact. Branded a criminal, Orion had no choice but to flee into exile, carrying the Mace of the Tides with him.

Orion’s journey eventually led him to the Skylanders. There, to his shock and relief, he encountered the real Kettlestein, who had escaped Kaos’ clutches and was fighting alongside the heroic defenders of the Skylands. Their reunion was filled with bittersweet joy as the two old friends vowed to restore their kingdom and confront the mimic that threatened to unravel everything they held dear. Orion, armed with the Mace of the Tides and his unwavering loyalty, joined the Skylanders, determined to protect his friend, his kingdom, and the Skylands themselves.

Now this was a design I was actually dreading, I suck at drawing crabs. Like I do everything in my power to avoid it.

But hey! Orion doesn't look too bad compared to my earlier attempts. For Wham-Shell (that's who Orion is btw), I wanted to change up his appearance, make him look more like an actual crustacean. And I think I succeeded. I took some inspiration from other crab characters in the Skylander franchise, as well as a cute little photo I found of a crab's mouth... I am now scarred for life, so I hope it was worth it!

Anyways, in actual reference to the story, we wanted to make the Skylands seem a bit less... expansive. (Which doesn't make that much sense in hindsight.)

We wanted to make the world feel more lived in, where characters knew each other and met each other outside of just being Skylanders. Think of how League of Legends writes their characters, how they connect to each other as much as the world around them.

The games and show make the Skylanders seem like they can go anywhere and do whatever they want, but what if they couldn't. What if their were entire civilizations who despised them. Not every problem or mission can be completed with brute strength.

Sometimes you need to take care of things quietly and without notice.

That's what the United Reef Kingdoms serve as. A reminder that not everyone likes what you offer.

Cherri's TLDR: The United Reef Kingdoms are compromised and off limits to the Skylanders.

Another interpretation of mine on what really happened in Sonic & the black knight:

Instead of being clones of his friends, the characters and probably all the other inhabitants of that world are sosias (to who knows multiverse subject, varians) of the humans from Sonic X which I recognize it's pretty hated now and yes even I who enjoyed it in my childhood now see it more cringe considering the childish behaviour of all humans and the fact we don't see the rest of mobius in all series.

the blacksmith and Merlina were actually Ico & Yorda from the 1st game of a trilogy that was actually the end of the story.

Yorda has been corrupted by darkness due to her sorrow which I think I could relate to not seeing a friend or someone you love for a long time and she using 2 swords plus having a snake tail makes me think about the swashbucklers from Skylanders imaginators and so I could speculate her true identity isn't only the ethereal Yorda but also Aurora the light sensei, so after she and Ico happily reunite they unite in a way they didn't know well but felt to be blissful and eventually they have as child the portalmaster player who looks like the human boy from Animal crossing.

Can I ask about the cores for your swapforce idea?

absolutely!! they're much less of a priority since most of their changes are easy to cross add to my personal canon but here's a general list of things -ages stay pretty much the same between my canon and if i made swap force. they're not relevant and range between 15 - 19 for most of them so -obviously pronoun changes because most of the female swap force cores i don't really care for, sorry swap force fans lawl. a couple of the changes are grim creeper (they/she), slobber tooth (it/they :]), bumbleblast (they/them) and smolderdash (he/she). this is only important with how i refer to the characters -all of them are also from cloudbreak!! this comes from a misinterpretation i had when i initially read their bios. their process for being recruited marked the skylanders slowly exploring more into cloudbreak territory rather than sticking to the expansive world of skylands -redesigns apply, cause why not use the redesigns i made for my own canon for it :)

-the swap force cores i see being a much tighter core unit compared to previous sets of cores (giants don't have that much connection to eachother n ssa is like a crazy extended family kinda thing, i can't think of a better way to describe it), they also bickered the least out of any group of cores due to just having a pretty well meshing personalities -a lot of the swap force cores had a really big learning curve with actual combat, very much needing to be trained by past skylanders -they usually chill at woodburrow post swap force, being in skylands for a lot of them felt kinda weird n also had to adjust to the seasons being off

Skylanders Academy Quattor

Season 1 Episode 4 - Dream Girls

(Quattor is latin for four, I wanted to spice things up a bit)

-They definitely made SED Talk as a parody of TED Talks. They might be completely different, but I can't see this as a coincidence.

-Now, normally, making the twist obvious from the start is a bad move, but I think Dream Catcher being the obvious villain of the episode is a nice treat for those who played Trap Team. Like 'what is she doing here?! That's the bitch who made me deal with waves of enemies, only for her to flee to the next level!'

-Young, impressionable cadets... and Chill, who is, in fact, a Skylander, as shown in the first episode. Why is she being called a cadet? Did she demoted herself like Bad Breath did?

-Also, Chill being here with the Skylanders means the Snow Queen of the Ice Kingdom has been kidnapped by Cyclops and Chill has been either been ostracized or left out of shame for failing to protect her.

-Despite the amount of flyers Eruptor and Spyro had... not that many people showed up to the SED Talk. Guess they don't know that many people. Relatable.

-If I didn't know it was made of a gizzard suit, I would eat that bread for sure. It looks sooo good.

-Jet Vac is so dad in this episode. He spends most of it making cheesy lines, but what Stealth Elf is clearly distressed, he sits her down and tries to cheer her up. It's sweet.

-Cobalt the Brave, Sharon the Victorious, and Edwin the Meek at first but eventually Brave and Victorious are not real Skylanders. Not that you needed me to tell you that.

-Stealth Elf may be a fictional character of a fictional race, but I'm still going to comment on that there is no way she had enough brain power to deduce that Dream Catcher was behind the sheep phobia after having not slept for multiple days.

-I originally was going to question why Dream Catcher seemed to be a known villain despite having not joined the Doom Raiders yet, but she's actually already escaped from the Lucid Lockdown inside the Realm of Dreams... not that those words mean anything to me. Wait, go back, she's only fourteen?! She might be one of the youngest characters in the show!

-Dream Catcher mentions parents... Are they also both floating heads? If that's so, how did they have a kid? Am I thinking too hard on this? Probably.

-The conflict of this episode is so funny. I'm not saying I support giving people deep seated fears through constant nightmares, but if you're going to anyway, sheep are a great candidate.

-Remember when I mentioned in Skylanders Unite! that I'd be talking about Spyro knowing his name later? It's later! In this episode, Spyro tells the people that came to the SED Talk a story about how he got his name, and even mentioning someone named Gyra. Now, that is likely a reference to an American jazz fusion band called Spyro Gyra (yes I had to look that up, I hate jazz), but it's still odd to me that Spyro met someone before he was even born.

-Not going to question how Stealth Elf had this presentation ready when she probably came up with it about five seconds ago. Oh wait, I guess I am.

-I swear I heard Cy's voice cheering, but I couldn't spot him. Beep's gone delusional.

-There is no way attaching an iron ball to braces wouldn't rip them out, handcuffs or not. In fact, it might rip the teeth out, too!

watching blazar, hiropre, and kingoh at the same time is really something bc ill be like "wow i cant wait to find out what the ggf is hiding!! and i need to know what happened 300 years ago between skyland and the undergu empire to make princess ellelain pull some kind of marie ange shit" and theyre like "you thought? maybe we'll tell you next episode <3".

meanwhile every episode of kingoh is like "actually jeremie's mom tried to unite the bugnarok and his dad was a human from regular earth who was driven away by conflict there and this is all part of dugded's master plan to create conflict so people destroy themselves fighting each other" and im like Did I Ask?

Skylanders academy episodes that could of got alternate endings

Skylanders unite!: kaos could of won.

Dream girls: dream catcher could of never had been caught,stealth elf could of went to sleep too early on in the episode,it could of been another cadet,dream catcher could of turned the entire academy against stealth elf.

The hole truth: the doom raider's could of never escaped.

Space invaders: stealth elf could of actually died,it could of been someone else who got stuck in kaos's head.

Pop rocks:wolfgang could of won, glumshanks could of revealed Wolfgang's plan to food fight and trigger happy by either accident or on purpose which would of lead them to tell the core team,pop fizz could of been the evil one instead of wolfgang,pop fizz and wolf gang never parted ways.

Beard science: eon could of never found his beard.

The skylands are falling!: everyone could of died.

Assault on skylander academy:kaos choose his Mom's side and never went with the doom raiders,the doom raiders,kaos and kaossandra never gotten into the academy.

Spyromania: Spyro could of died aka no invincible scales,Spyro could of never questioned his abilities,Spyro could of had super speed aka dodged all of food fight's tomatoes or just any other type of ability for that matter.

I dream of ninjini: ninjini could of been stuck in her bottle.

Return to cynder: cynder could of got corrupted, the skylanders never offended cynder.

Elementary,my dear eruptor: eruptor could of died(I'm starting to see a pattern here)

Split decision: hex could of took over the academy,skull never got rid of his magical bond with hex,hex forgot to hug a cadet like wind up or food fight possiblely and they did something that changed the ending like telling master eon earlier.

The people vs.pop fizz: pop fizz could of stayed in cloud cracker prison.

Belly of the beast: they all could of died. Food fight could of died by the cadets having to use him to make the fire viper throw up due to the fire viper being a carnivore and food fight being well an ardichoke meaning that they sacrificed him(man I think that's the darkest alternate ending I came up with),food fight and wind up being the only survivers(they was in a place where they were safe once the fire viper woke up and food fight could of made the fire viper throw up by tossing enough tomatoes.king pen never got kidnapped.

Sheep-ball dreams: dream catcher was catched by stealth elf before she hit the ground meaning she never snapped out of her amnesia and lived happily ever after with the skylanders and cadets(I wished that happened even a little bit). Dream catcher was faking the whole thing.

Touch of evil: Spyro never turned into dark Spyro,cynder never went after Spyro,cynder never got captured and made it back to the academy with the core team.

Power struggle: kaossandra ditched the skylanders.

A traiter among us(oh God please no): eruptor never had a grudge against kaossandra and therefore never needed to get captured by trolls.

In like flynn: the skylanders could of been trapped forever.pop fizz could of got sacrificed.(why is acadmey so extreme?)

Road rage: kaossandra could of killed stealth elf. Stealth elf wore the cursed bracelet instead. Stealth elf gave the cursed bracelet to either eruptor,dark Spyro or even possiblely food fight?(though that last person is very unlikely yet here we are and it would change the episode very much.)

Weekend at eon's(can we just put in f in the chat for poor food fight not really even appearing in the episode where he should of at least got a line): FOOD FIGHT ACTUALLY PLAY A PART IN THE STORY-no really im serious that would actually change a whole lot of things,food fight never missed,food fight killed master eon rather by accident or possibly *evil smirk* on purpose.

Three sides to every story: master eon actually did get zapped.

Days of future crash: glumshanks won,dark Spyro encountered the alternate versions of the cadets that may or may not have been driven crazy by that timeline's events.

Off to the races: dark Spyro killed stealth elf,dark Spyro never got caught.

Split: Hugo never came to rescue the skylanders.

The final to skylanders academy as a whole.

Kettlestein "Kettle" Gray, once the beloved prince of the United Reef Kingdoms, lived in harmony with the vast oceans and vibrant reefs of his kingdom. As the heir to the throne, Kettle was poised to lead his people with a bright future ahead. His joyous spirit and adventurous nature made him a symbol of hope, loved by all who knew him.

But Kaos, the dark sorcerer with a hunger for power, saw Kettle as more than just a prince—he saw him as a tool to fuel his own twisted ambitions. In a bold and cruel move, Kaos kidnapped Kettle and subjected him to horrific experiments. The sorcerer sought to turn Kettle into a mindless puppet, using dark magic to drain the prince of his essence and replace him with a false version—one that would obey only Kaos.

From this dark transformation, Kaos created a mimic of Kettle, calling it "Zap." This mimic was imbued with electric powers, a twisted mirror image of Kettle’s own abilities, but devoid of his true spirit. The mimic was a weapon, an artificial creation that Kaos could command at will, and it now serves as one of his dangerous pawns—continuing to threaten the Skylands.

Though Kaos succeeded in creating this puppet, Kettle was not entirely lost. Weakened but still alive, he managed to escape from Kaos’ grasp. In his flight, he stole an experimental electric harness—one of Kaos’ earliest prototypes—and used it to survive, desperately trying to find his way back to the Skylanders. There, he hoped to warn them of the threat his twisted mimic posed and stop Kaos’ scheme.

While Kettle returned to the Skylands with his cheerful and playful demeanor intact, the scars of his experience lingered. His trauma, buried beneath his joyful exterior, left him wary of trusting others fully. But his mission remained clear: stop Kaos, free his kingdom, and confront the mimic that bore his likeness but none of his soul. And though the false Kettle, Zap, remains a weapon in Kaos’ arsenal, Kettle knows he must face his doppelgänger—not just to save his home, but to reclaim his true identity.

I just want to say if it wasn't already clear, Gold's story is designed as a more mature version of the Skylanders/Spyro the Dragon franchise. We both wanted to make Kaos seem more threatening than the games actually made him, as well as modifying the stories of many of the Skylanders to connect back to him. Giving them a more personal motivation for defending the Skylands.

So, yeah. Kaos is actually somewhat competent in this story

So now we've introduced the haunting idea of the United Reef Kingdoms as a puppet state controlled by Kaos using a fake version of Zap. Its only a little terrifying to think about.

(And if you're wondering, this is the mimic you fight in the first Skylander game while looking for the eternal water source.)

We're sorry Zap fans for giving your boy trauma, but what can you expect from war? Nothing good ever comes from it.
