#sky: prince of eden

One hundered years ago, there was a prince.

This prince did not start as a prince, though. He was once a being of light, like everyone else. But he was tempted by the darkness of Eden's Storm, and he did not resist the temptation that It offerered him.

Come to me, the Storm told him, and I will make you a prince above all princes. Your darkness is stronger than their light, and who are they to say you should push it aside? All are fated to die in my darkness, so why should you not live in it instead?

And so the child of light fell and became a prince, one who rules over Eden's darkness, from that darkness, to this very day.

But the Elders knew that this was not what we are meant to be. So they took up their arms, and they used their mighty powers to keep the prince of Eden from leaving the realm he had condemned himself to. This power would not hold forever, though, and the prince knew it. He swore an oath as the Storm's winds carried him to Its heart, promising he would return with others who had fallen to Eden's darkness and-

"Ringer, we're not young skykids anymore," Mayhem (a bored listener) interrupted. "Plus, I think you've told us this one a hundered times by now."

Ringer (the one who was speaking) opened his eyes. "It's still a story worth repeating."

"Why? It's a legend that the Elders wrote so that parents could have something to scare children into going to bed." Mayhem rolled his eyes and smiled. "I've talked to the Valley twins. They've confirmed it."

"You know they probably said that just to feed your ego, right?" a girl piped in.

"Sesha, I'm offended," Mayhem said. Doubly so because you're my sister."

"Can you two please knock it off?" another girl said, brushing her hair off of her mask. "Your ego can wait, Mayhem. I, for one, actually like hearing Ringer recite old stories, and want to hear him finish."

Mayhem rolled his eyes again but said nothing.

Ringer smiled thankfully at the girl before continuing.

The prince swore an oath as the Storm's winds carried him to Its heart, promising he would return with others who had fallen to Eden's darkness and release Eden from Its natural barriers, bringing darkness to all the realms with his army of Storm-sickened soldiers. He promised to defeat the Elders, one by one, until there was nothing left but darkness and Eden's harsh rule.

Even though he was confined to Eden's boundaries, the prince was determined to fulfil his vow. Using what powers the Storm had given him, he inflicted Its darkness into the hearts of other beings of light, filling them with his twisted will and desire to destroy the light the world holds so dear.

Until that dark day draws near, nobody will know when the prince will come. If he is merciful, he will warn us somehow. If not, the only warning we can expect is-

"Hate to interrupt you again, Ringer, but I just-"

Sesha sighed. "Honestly, Mayhem, could you really not wait thirty more seconds for Ringer to finish, or did you have to make it about you again and-"

"Like I was saying, I just saw something weird growing on the wall over there." Mayhem stood up, brushing the grass from his cape. "It looks like a weird plant. Here, I can show you."

"Weird plant?" Ringer opened his eyes again. "Maybe it's just something from the Forest that sprouted up?"

"No, there's something off about this. Trust me."

This old Resh cutscene is so silly I can't stop laughing. Resh really saw a random sky kid passed out on the floor, saw their candle, went "Are you going to eat that?", did not wait for an answer, and just fucked off into the distance. To say I am cackling is not to say anything- and the distant thunder just makes it all so serious and for what JHDGJEDGHGHED

You can see that his cutscene was only at the testing stages and very unfinished, probably from the time TGC was still figuring out the story, considering how clanky and minimal the animation as well as resh's model is

Anyway, this is the last bit of hacked content for now, until our lords and saviors Sky hackers will feed us lore crumbs hidden in those sweet sweet files again.

When I played Sky for the first time I gotta say... the Little Prince dying brutally in Eden was NOT on my bucket list.

Sky's a coward. They said sorry no friends for you. Everyone's gotta be dead. No alive people allowed!!! To which I say BOOOOO!!!

Can you explain alefs lore?

au lore? or the possible lore coming in Two Embers (which i hope it gives some clear answers…)?

But regarding my au Alef, here’s a short gist:

Child of The Megabird (In my au, two people have that title of “Megabird”, a goddess and her daughter. Alef is the child of the latter.)

Not a skykid. Not a human (like the ancestors) either.

After descending from Orbit, Alef was raised by a couple of villagers in Isle of Dawn. Ushering Stargazer was his mother figure.

Took part in The Trials in the Cave of Prophecies.

Like most interpretations of Resh, was crowned King and led The Kingdom.

My Alef is also Resh. Two halves of a whole.

The Kingdom’s fall was caused by a darkstone outbreak, further worsened when Eden exploded. Resh was left behind in Eden’s ruins after it exploded.

Resh still remains in Eden, trapped. Can’t really escape due to being affected by darkstone and the Gate leading to it being locked by magic.

first tho. the picrews. alas i lost my acc or else i'd actually make them in-game

in order: ismyth/myth, xelvin/mayhem, sesha, colmcille/ringer, vega, zumi (vega and zumi were designed by my sister)

now to give quick descriptions, because this is a crazy cast

myth: you will learn more about him later. right now i am not going to say anything about him >:)

mayhem: aggressive, competitive, kind of the asshole of the group. also the oldest (18). sure he's friendly but only as much as he needs to be. this doesn't keep him from being protective of the people he knows, though. he's a bit dumb but only because he chooses not to think (he's smart he just chooses to never use his brain)

sesha: mayhem's younger sister. the caring one of the group, and also the mediator/sort of mom figure. wants to do the passage rites once she's a bit older. the thinker of the group, since mayhem chooses not to

ringer: the most gentle person in the universe. has a pet butterfly named viv. despite only being twelve, he's incredibly well-read in mythology and lore, since he lives in the vault as an orphan. got his nickname because he goes through all the realms and rings the bells every day

vega: a distant cousin of mayhem and sesha. she was born with a weak immune system, causing her to get sick easily. because of this, she's not allowed to go to eden or the wasteland. very much an empath

zumi: chaotic nine-year-old that the gang encounter in the prarie. she's just a little chaos gremlin. and she's very attached to mayhem. has a pet crab named mr. cuddles who she REFUSES to part with no matter what
