The Revised Demo for Heart of Flames has been added! For those that have played the game before you’ll notice that the Prologue and Chapter One are still largely the same, but I hope that you enjoy it all the same. Chapter Two will hopefully be added within the next week or two, as I work through various revisions for it, and then Chapter Three will finally be worked on once more.

For all the people that are new to HoF, I hope you enjoy the journey! I can’t wait to see where it takes you all.

Who were the matriarchs before irithiel? What were they like?

The list can get pretty long so I will go with the three that I think can be considered the most impactful-- not that they aren't all impactful.

Nieena-- The Mournful Queen: The First Matriarch of Haven; she is thought to have had the most triumphant and the most devastating reign out of all the Matriarch's. Sapphire blue eyes shimmering like the most precious of gems. While her inky black hair was seemingly woven from the very night sky itself. She was beloved by all of the people in Haven. Even though a dark cloud always seemed to hang over her head.

Sameyra-- The Crimson Knife: Sameyra was one of the Matriarch's that had to deal with some of the more brutal times. Though it wasn't brutal times within her own provinces; it was brutal times within the Patriarch's. Many of her Riders ended up losing their lives in order to help their allies. Her own life becoming forfeit in the end too.

Hevalia-- The Gentle One: Hevalia is one of the most renowned Matriarch's because of her gentle nature. There's a tale that she could stop even the most bloodthirsty of foes with a gentle smile and calming words. Not much else is known about Hevalia-- like how she died-- as she kept mainly within the walls of Haven.

Hello there I was thinking about hierarchy of the riders and I wanted to ask you, How high can we go in the hierarchy? I know that we obviously cant take iri's position but how high exactly can we go? Ps. I hope your grandfather's surgery goes well and everything works out for you and your family. Have a great day.

The Riders have various levels strewn within the main “floors”�� the penthouse obviously being Matriarch/Patriarch. I haven’t truly planned that far ahead when in regards to how far the MC will get… I just know what won’t happen.

I can see the MC getting fairly high up in rank within the Riders though.

Hi there! i hope you and your family are Doing well. So I had a kore question, do you think the fae can make a comeback? In numbers I mean. The lore so far has made it seem that the fae are a dying race close to extinction. Do you have any plans for that or anything? Have a wonderful day.

The Fae aren’t a dying race necessarily… they’re just few and far between. For spoiler reasons I can’t really divulge why exactly that is.

The Fae won’t be making a huge comeback though… as it’s not necessarily something that the existing Fae would want (when in context with other things) or what Gallinia needs. I’m sorry I can’t really get into more detail than that 😅.

I’m doing all right. My grandfather is having quadruple heart bypass surgery tomorrow… so I’m a little stressed but I’m doing my best. I hope that the same can be said for you too ❤️.

I know it’s been a bit since I’ve posted on this blog but I wanted to say that I’ve made some nice headway with the additions to chapters one and two. Plus I’m currently 10K into chapter three… which I hope you all enjoy when it finally gets further along.

I apologize for not being as active on here but I haven’t forgotten, or abandoned, HoF. I’m still working on it.

Hi~ I hope this question isn’t annoying to you and you don’t need to answer if you don’t want to. I just noticed the thread at the forum has been closed, may I ask why? 🥺 I hope you’re okay! 💞

I’m doing perfectly fine 😄. I asked one of the Mods to close it as I’m working on the rest of chapter two, and the revamping of chapter one, I didn’t want to have to worry about splitting my attention with them all. (Meaning the story, the forum, Tumblr, etc.) I have been fairly busy these past few weeks (my job, family, pets, friends, and other more annoying things I’ve had to take care of) but I promise I’m not abandoning HoF.

Sorry but why are we “filled with nausea” almost every 5 minutes? I was planing to play an aloof character but it’s really hard when every little thing we discover suddenly make us overwhelmed with nausea out of nowhere.

I really like where you’re going with the story but those reactions really...

Because those are the base reactions 😅. As I’ve said the passive/base are the only things added right now.

Some people just like the snarky individuals... as some of the things Aidan says I would not advise anyone else to say 😅. You might see a bit of yourself in him and that’s what connects you.

With dark brown hair that is cut to perfection– only the slightest hint of his natural curls appearing– to his sky blue eyes. President Anderson is exactly what America envisions as a leader. You were one of the only people to know what lurked beneath the surface. To see beneath the mask that the POTUS put on. 

First Lady Alcina Anderson (F): The doting wife to the POTUS. Alcina Anderson always kept her political mask in place. Never allowing her wide smile, or loving eyes, to fade for even a second. Even if she felt like lashing out with each moment that passed. With long black hair that fell in perfect waves passed her shoulder blades, that was always perfectly kept, and stunning emerald green eyes. Alcina was quite the sight to behold. If only people truly knew the mind that lay beneath the sparkling smile. 

Stephen Beckett (M): Your partner-in-crime. The man that stood by you as you struggled to open your company. That has never wavered even the slightest. Dark skin standing out against his kind honey-brown eyes. Light brown hair kept short as he never liked taking care of it when it was long. He’s the only one that knows your past– well all that you were willing to share with him. You just hope that he wouldn’t turn away from you when he learned the rest. 

Quinn Matthews (F/M): The top agent for the Secret Service. You had only met for brief instances when Christian had been first elected. You hadn’t even realized that you had made an impact on the stony agent. But every time you entered the room you could feel a cool grey gaze following your every movement. Some would say it was simply because it was in the job description… but something more seemed to lurk beneath the surface. You hadn’t even seen Quinn in anything else but the standard suit that all Secret Service Agents seemed to wear. Pale blond(e) hair never being out of place against alabaster skin. You always wondered if anything could crack that cold exterior.

I sort of am :)

I sometimes need to take a step back from fantasy (no matter how much I love it)... just to take a breather. So I've been working on a more modern-day story to pass the time as I figure out what's next for HoF. Here is a link to a post I've made about it.

It's more of a political-romance story than I think you're all used to with me... but it's still romance through and through. I wouldn't be me if it wasn't.

Hi! I just played your demo and I wanted to let you know that I absolutely loved it! The characters were amazing and I loved the pacing.

Aeleanor/Aeson: 

Aeleanor is 5��9" with tan skin and long silvery blonde hair that falls in gentle waves down to the middle of her back and bright gold eyes with violet flecks in them. She has a lithe build and high cheekbones, and full lips. Her wings are white with silver hues. She’s very sweet and kind but can be standoffish to those that she doesn’t know.

Aeson is 6’2" with tan skin and medium length silvery blonde hair and gold eyes with violet flecks. He has a muscular build and a chiseled face. His wings are white with a silver hue, and he can be pretty standoffish but is actually a very gentle soul.

Elaria/Ezra:

Elaria is 5’8” with platinum blonde hair down to her shoulder blades with sea green eyes. She has an icy exterior but once she trusts you she becomes a close confidant. She is the crown princess of Gallinia.

Ezra is 5’11” with platinum blonde hair styled in a side part with sea green eyes. He has an icy exterior but once he trusts you he becomes a close confidant. He is the crown prince of Gallinia.

Catherine/Caleb:

Catherine is 5’9” with long brown hair with golden highlights and hazel eyes. She has a happy-go-lucky personality and always wants to make other people smile. She is an older rider that trains you.

Lydia is 5’4” with long red hair and sparkling blue eyes. She is the biggest flirt in all of the Gallinia or, at least, that’s what people have told you. You’re not so sure at this point.

Samara/Silas:

Samara is 5’6” with curly raven black hair and honey brown eyes. She is a mischievous soul who always has a grin on her face. Just doing her best to make those around her feel special. 

Silas is 5’8” with raven black hair and honey brown eyes. He is a mischievous soul who always has a grin on his face. Just doing his best to make those around him feel special. 

Milena/Maven:

Milena is 6′0″ with ombre blonde hair. Falling in loose waves down to her shoulder blades. Her silver eyes standing out against the fairness of her skin. She’s not looking to make friends but she won’t turn you away if you need help. 

Maven is 6′1″ with ombre blond hair. Falling in slight waves to his ears. Silver eyes always watching the room he was in. Always prepared for what may come. The fairness of his skin causing them to shine even more. 

Natalia/Nikolas:

Natalia has raven black hair that falls to the middle of her back in. She has stunning emerald green eyes and a razor sharp smile. You can never truly know what she’s thinking and that’s exactly how she likes it. She’s 5’10".

Nikolas has short(ish) raven black hair and emerald green eyes. His smile can either reveal nothing or everything. You’ll just never know which. He’s 6’3".

Lauren:

Lauren is a healer in Haven and is one of the most renowned healers in all of Gallinia. However, she is indentured to the acting Matriarch which can cause problems. She is 5’6" with long dirty blonde hair and whiskey brown eyes. She’s a very cool and pragmatic, to some, but she cares with her entire heart.

Faolan:

Faolan is a wolf shifter. He has crimson red eyes and golden blonde hair. He’s 6’5" with a very muscular build. Though he’s very kind and gentle to those he trusts and who he sees as part of his pack. His wolf form is very muscular as well and has 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 fur with his crimson red eyes. It exudes strength and power. As it should as he is the 𝗮𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗮 of his pack.

Aidan:

Aidan is another Rider that you meet. He has beautiful blue-green eyes and is 6’2" with a muscular build. He’s very standoffish and rarely lets anything get passed his prickly exterior. His skin is sun-kissed from all his time outside during his training.

Irithiel:

The Matriarch has long, slightly curly, golden white hair. She has crystalline blue eyes that seem to stand out against the fairness of her skin. She has high cheekbones and a jawline that could cut diamonds. Her elven side coming out with the elegant features that go well with her lithe body. She’s very graceful and overall an elegant individual. Her full lips are usually pulled into a smile of some sort, but it’s her eyes you want to watch. For they’re truly the windows to her soul.

Elaria/Ezra: Archion. A white dragon with sparkling ice blue eyes.

Catherine/Caleb: Narith. A blue dragoness with glowing indigo eyes.

Matriarch- The leader of the Riders of the Western Provinces (the Patriarch is the leader of the Eastern Riders).

Fledgling Rider- The newest additions to Haven. You’re considered a Fledgling Rider for about two years. 

Haven- The home of the Riders in the Western Provinces. The greatest feat to ever cross the known world. Many have gone their entire lives without seeing the home of where the Riders originated. 

Sanctuary- The home of the Riders in the Eastern Provinces. Created many years after Haven was constructed. It’s beautiful and many would attest to that.

🗣️ For Elaria and Irithiel please.

What are the most painful words that can be said to your OC to utterly break them? What are the words that you could tell them to cheer them up? Maybe some advice to give them the boost they need!

Elaria: I think a phrase retaining to them never measuring up. That they'll fail the people of Gallinia. That they would never be anything compared to their ancestors... I could see that tearing her down. More than she would allow you to see but it would wound her.

To cheer her up? Bringing up Archion never fails to cheer her up. Or simply asking her about her hobbies helps too. Elaria is fairly easy to cheer up unless she's truly disheartened by something. Elaria listens to all advice, even if it doesn't necessarily match her, and files it away. She's always willing to grow and learn.

Irithiel: Anything to do with Alessia dying. Being told that her little girl was no longer with her. Gods help the messenger that delivered her that news. As Irithiel would be inconsolable... filled with rage and grief. A mixture that was not good for anyone.

Like Elaria or any of the other Riders, simply bringing up her dragon never fails to make her smile. Or bringing up Alessia. As Irithiel loves talking about her daughter. Or asking her about her day. Just genuine conversation never fails to brighten her day. The same can be said about advice. Irithiel, like Elaria, listens to all that she is given. Although she is a lot better at dissecting it. Morphing it into how it'll fit her. How it'll help her grow because of it.

Could we have 🤕 for L or N please?

L: When L was younger they used to climb the trees on their family's estate. They adored seeing the world stretch out before them when they were on top of a, particularly high tree. However, despite their mother's numerous warnings... or in spite of it... they kept climbing the trees. Even when they were aware of the weakness of said tree. So, it came as no surprise that on one fine day the branch they were holding snapped. Causing L to plummet a fair distance to the ground. They didn't receive a scar from the said drop but they did get one hell of a concussion. And every time that they fall now they get a lancing pain across their back-- where the branches of the tree struck them.

N: N has one from training. They hadn't been careful and allowed their opponent an opportunity to strike them. Unfortunately, the said opponent was fairly ruthless. Not abiding by the strict rules both of their trainers had set up. N was struck across the side and knocked to the ground. They were able to get back up and finish the fight-- this time not holding back-- but they'll forever be reminded of it by the thin scar that's on their left side.
