Like hang that thing across a few branches with some clothes wrapped in bedroll and you get a cosy little fort which sky has only 1 rule.

When inside naps are not to be disturbed.

Okay so I named this sideblog "plutos-THOUGHTS-and-sketches" so it's time to take up my promise on that

This is gonna be my ancestors, elders, and a little bit of skid, spirits (I'll elaborate on them in another post) and some miscellaneous hcs that should line up together and i hope that it doesn't interfere with any lore. Buckle up this is gonna be a long one

So! Let's start off with ancestors. What are they?

I like to think that they used to be skids but then willingly gave away their light. They're just tired of existing for eternity, you know? So they dropped their eternality (they could still be killed but then would be reborn- like through eden! But there weren't any widespread methods of doing that before and they still got reborn :( ) and became a mortal species we now know as ancestors. They. Well. Reproduced. And forgot their roots. They forgot why they always feel like they're missing a major part of them (their light), and they didn't understand why light healed them and made them feel euphoric. (Note that only some light can properly heal them. Like. They're basically humans. Fire WILL burn. But, say, a manta's light will feel caressing.)

So what's up with Elders, then?

Basically! They're normal ancestors. Except, with a twist: they didn't give away ALL of their light. Only some of it, really. But it's a permanent move anyways. They continue to have limited lifespans, but they're much, much longer than normal ancestors. And some of their skid physiology (is that the right term?) kicks in, letting them grow and grow for as long as they aren't dead. (They can't be reborn, though.) (And does that mean that skids before used to be giant? Yes. Does that also mean that skids who don't eden run get to be taller? Also yes.) so they just get to be the cool guys, who remain to be above the rest, containing the knowledge and power and potential.

And now I'll elaborate a bit on some of the specifics about all of this. Healing is basically relighting another skid, and there is a whole, high paying, high status job that's basically having the right type of light that can heal others instead of burning them. (Without it, all krill attacks would have been lethal. Even then, it's expensive as hell.)

Ancestors have the lifespan of a normal human and elders are basically five times that. Magic (spells) exist and they can only be cast by the most talented, the most full of light ancestors. This means that basically all elders can do spells if they put their mind to it.

Anyways about the thing where i said they always feel like they're missing a part of themselves. So they die, wake up (I'll elaborate on that more in another post that will include my spirit hcs) and go like "wow i feel great" because eden basically inserted some light into them

They all have normal names, but the Elders that we know don't share theirs anymore with normal ancestors because of an.... Event. (This is bordering on my au stuff so we'll skip over that. Let your imagination go wild) Which means that if a skid (i hc that all skids know elder names (search sky cotl elder names if you don't know them, they have names)) suddenly calls one by their name ancestors would be confused and Elders would be flashbanged and wary

Masks are a traditional thing! Some people replace them with face markings instead and some don't wear anything at all (but those are few), which means that some cultures that are disconnected from the norm don't wear masks (like the nine colored deer spirits. Take a look. Feudal lord is the only one with an actual mask and even then you can't convince me that it isn't just giant eyebrows)

Eden exploded (shattering) from darkness corruption overload. How that happened is up to you but I hc that Resh is a skid and was tired of seeing everyone dying so he researched and came up with that solution to make everyone immortal

Random Lu Headcanons

Four has an unhealthy amount of socks. Fuzzy socks, themed socks, etc.

Wild bakes a lot when he’s stressed.

Twilight is actually really funny but not intentionally. He’ll add a random comment into a conversation with his thick country twang with plenty of sass and it’s HILARIOUS.

On the other hand, Sky will say the most UNHINGED thing you’ve ever heard of in the cheeriest, friendliest voice. “Did you know that swans mate for life and when their loved one dies, they usually die of grief? How tragic! ☺️☺️”

Time is a picky eater. He also might have a slight obsession with milk-based desserts (tres leches perhaps?)

Legend and Wild hum a lot when they’re relaxed/doing tedious activities like cooking or chores.

Hyrule can jump the highest (without magic abilities)

Warriors shaves even though he can’t grow a real beard to save his life. Legend makes fun of him for it even tho he can’t grow a beard either.

Sky will bonk chain members in the head with his scarab. It is inevitable. The bonk comes for all.

Sky can't pilot it well enough to directly pickpocket, but it can often be seen with legend's hat in its jaws. Not for long though as sheerow has given legend more than enough practice at wrangling his possessions back from airborne bastards.

Small habits

The laboratory was immersed in a deafening silence interrupted only by the continuous rustling of pages and the rhythmic noise of the pen scratching against the paper. Viktor was bent over a series of formulas, his eye alert and focused with his hair disheveled from the long day. Every now and then, in a completely unconscious gesture, a hand would leave the pen to curl a lock of hair between the fingers, before returning to writing. He was aware that he hadn't always had this habit of playing with his own hair. It was a gesture that he had acquired, almost without realizing it, during the long afternoons spent with you, in his laboratory, while you were both immersed in your own research. You, with your light smile and eyes always looking for hidden details, often noticed details about Viktor that not even he himself perceived. You had the habit of reaching out for his hair, absentmindedly playing with a lock as you reflected on a calculation or a formula that you couldn't figure out. Viktor was aware that you didn't do it with the intention of distracting him, but rather that it was an involuntary gesture, your way of calm down, to find a thread between your thoughts and arrive at the solution to the problem. Yet, every time he felt your fingers in his hair, he couldn't help the smile that grew on his face. That small gesture had become a source of calm and comfort for him. Over time, without realizing it, he had begun to replicate that gesture when he found himself alone. Now, in the quiet of the laboratory, while the dim light of the lamp reflected on the sheet full of calculations, Viktor continued to play with a lock of his hair.

Viktor Hospital Headcanons

One of the main reasons he and his parents made the decision to try and “sneak” him into the academy and Piltover in general is because of the medical advancements that Piltover had made that they didn’t really share with the undercity.

Viktor does not have a PCP (primary care provider) he just shows to their version of an ER when he has an issue, gets temporary treatment, and leaves. Because of this the ER physician has a general idea of what’s going on with him, but the ER isn’t really the place to plan out long-term health goals. 

Has left AMA for various reasons multiple times. (Health insurance doesn’t exist in Piltover. Because I imagine they got at least one thing right.)

He’s never rude to his care team, but he’s tired of this routine and he’ll ask for them to just skip needless pleasantries. 

He tries really hard not to regularly ask for any kind of pain medication and be labeled as an addict or drug seeker. He’ll be in 8/10 pain and simply sit there and disassociate because he’s got thirty minutes left until his next dose is due, and if he asks for it early he’ll only look bad.  

If anyone visits him they are appalled that he does this. He doesn’t stop. 

Jayce is the kind of person that just finds where the blankets and sheets are kept, and will just get it all himself instead of asking someone.

Viktor has only been hospitalized a few times, and they were all for planned surgeries. Everything else has been an ER visit. Never exceeding 36 hours.

He doesn’t like people visiting him because it’s either not a big deal to him. Or he looks and feels like shit. 

He feels like Jayce worries/pities him. Caitlyn only shows up when Jayce is busy and he doesn’t know her that well. Mel has visited him once and it was clear she was there more out of obligation than worry (Not that he minded. She gave him a great Get Well Soon basket). Heimerdinger has visited multiple times and just talks about the marvels of medicine (He’s the one Viktor wishes would never visit.)

Sky is the only person he actually finds himself looking forward to seeing. She talks about work for most of her visit, and doesn’t comment on him being in a hospital at all.

Have I mentioned Viktor and Sky are best friends and I will spread this gospel.

Alright I get the blanket fort out of the sailcloth, but have uou considered the ghost costume out of the sail cloth? not even cutting any eye holes but using fancy sunglasses and using Fi or another Link as a guide

Honestly yes. Using Fi as a guide would also give the added effect of a slight glow under the sail cloth

Some LU Headcanons (part 2)

Legend is shorter than Hyrule. Hyrule never lets this go. ("I'm older!" "I'm taller!")

Wind hates wearing anything but sandals. Similarly, Twilight only wears boots and refuses to wear any other kind of shoe.

Time and Wild hate nights with the full moon. Both of them don't really sleep on those nights, so they keep watch together.

Wild constantly takes pictures and writes down their mini-adventures with the chain, because he never wants to forget a single thing again.

Sky is the best caretaker but the WORST patient. He gets super clingy and needy and refuses to cooperate unless he is bribed by pumpkin soup.

Twilight has a lot of facial hair, but it's all gray. Wild and Four find this hilarious, and eventually everyone teases him about it ("Aw Rancher, it's werewolf again!")

Four has the worst taste in music.

Time, Sky and Legend are the best singers (in that order).

Wild has the biggest appetite, but Hyrule and Twilight will eat literally anything offered to him.

Twilight and Wild have very unnaturally blue eyes (inspired by that one dialogue line in Twilight Princess and bc Wild was resurrected by the Sheikah stuff). So at nighttime, they both look like this:

Linked Universe Headcanons: What I think each of their roles would be in a boy band

I'm surprised how popular my prev one was! I was chatting to a non fan friend and she was curious what they would be like in a band, and asked me who the rapper would be...I reckon WILD hahah

Anyways...

Time: Not an active member but used to be a solo artist back in the day, he doesn't like being in the limelight as much and mentors/manages the rest of them. Still has that suave quality, a total heart throb and occasionally hosts a one off concert only available to the VIPS. He was the IT boy back in the day.

Warriors: Leader of the band and all rounder. He's a complete heartbreaker, can sing, and dance every style and fans go crazy over him. Very charismatic and flirty, knows how to make a fan feel special at a meet and greet and always takes a photo with them.

Twilight: I think lead guitarist, can sing beautifully and has one of the most charming voices, also very yeehaw and country when he goes on solo tour dates or drops his album. He's dripping with quiet confidence and doesn't share too much about his private life to fans, likes to keep a boundary between his private and professional life but will always be kind of them and never deny a photo or autograph

Sky: Has a beautiful voice, more shy and s o f t, he's one of the more quieter members and doesn't like being on camera as much but doesn't hate it either. Has that sweet prince charming vibe that everyone loves, would probably be a part time model on top of his band duties. Can play the guitar and bass

Wild: Absolute hardcore. He's def the main rapper and won't pass up the chance to drop any bars. He'll def go on rap battle tv shows and break EVERYONE. Mans got flow and swag, especially after getting a full arm of tattoos. What's the backstory behind them? He'll change it everytime he's on an interview. Absolute coolest dude on earth, fans LOVE him and how chill he is but you don't want to get on this guy's bad side or you'll be on his diss track list. Even the others are slightly scared of him. Always on social media posting selfies and updates, or threatening other artists that come for him or his band. Likes to film the other members to until Time tells him to cut it out and touch grass

Legend: I can see him having a lot of range in his voice, very powerful and can sing ballads. One of the lead singers and occasionally helps with writing songs. He CAN dance if he puts his heart and soul into it. He loves writing poetry and secretly writes love songs for himself based on a special girl, but he'll tear them up before anyone sees them. Would Probably records an incredible, heartfelt song he wrote and composed himself on his instagram then delete it after 5 hours beccause he'll be like, why the hell did I just do that? Fans would cry, wishing he would post more gems like that. Hates to be in the front but also fairly confident in his skills. Fans adore him because you can just see he's actually a big softie on the inside despite that tough exterior he puts up. Secretly jealous of Wild's rap ability, can't rap to save his life but maybe, one day.

Hyrule:

One of the lead singers, has the most melodic voice and can absolutely stun a crowd with his angelic vocals. Like Legend, also is one of the members with the most range. You know when you see someone in person and their just glowing? Yea, that's him. Sweetest celeb ever, everyone that's worked with him only has good things to say about this guy. Definitely has the most potential to go solo as well with his incredible piano skills. Can also play almost every other instrument, an absolute talent in everything. He also sponsors charities every now and then and interacts with fans on social media. Can do contemporary dance

Wind/Four: Tbh I think they would be good in broad way, both are great singers and still very much fanboys to the others. Their working their way, still in training. Can definitely see Wind going big on broadway and theatre and specialising in tap dance

they will get back together eventually, I’m still figuring out when exactly but there is a chance they might be with someone else at some point If I decide to have them get back together a lot more later on

Hi!! Abyss crew love time. I just spotted something GREAT, and now own a new hc. Anyways.

Look! At! This!!!! They all have a Gem (yeah I know it's probably darkstone but still. I'm calling them gems)!!! Of course, this can be interpreted in a few ways, but as the person I am I can only see it in one way: acknowledgement that you're part of the crew- part of the family. They deserve that!!!

Anyways. Since Boatswain has the most gems, I think that they're the ones who make them. That headcannon kinda fell down to "they are longtime friends with Commodore, who trusts their judgement with distribution of the gems and safekeeping of loot" because why not!! And! They could also be the first mate of the crew! Among other things!!!

And of fucking course this means I'm finding a nice spot for my own skykid to wear a gem lmao. (I say, as I modify how her wristband looks like)
