There was both a book and a movie about the abduction experience.
From the essay:
Travis Walton’s 1975 abduction in Arizona’s Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest is a well-known UFO case. After a beam struck him, Walton woke up on an examination table surrounded by non-human beings. Despite controversy and doubt, UFO experts find the account consistent with other abductions, making it a significant study in UFO phenomena.

The Abduction of Europa
Artist: Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn (Dutch, 1606-1669)
Date: 1632
Medium: Oil on single oak panel
Collection: J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, CA, United States
Description
In the Metamorphoses , the ancient Roman poet Ovid told a story about the god Jupiter, who disguised himself as a white bull in order to seduce the princess Europa away from her companions and carry her across the sea to the distant land that would bear her name.
During his long career Rembrandt rarely painted mythological subjects. Here he conveys a narrative story through dramatic gesture and visual effects. Bewildered, Europa grasps the bull's horn, digs her fingers into his neck, and turns back to look at her companions on the water's edge. One young woman falls to the ground and raises her arms in alarm, dropping the flower garland intended for the bull's neck into her lap, while her friend clasps her hands in consternation and watches helplessly. The carriage driver above rises to his feet and stares at the departing princess in horror. In the background, a city shrouded in mist extends along the horizon, perhaps serving as an allusion to the ancient city of Tyre as well as to contemporary Amsterdam. The dark thicket of trees to the right contrasts with the pink and blue regions of the sea and sky. Sunlight breaks through the clouds and reflects off the water, but the sky behind the trees is dark and foreboding.
A master of visual effects, Rembrandt took pleasure in describing the varied textures of sumptuous costumes and glittering gold highlights on the carriage and dresses.

so
funny story (and a kinda long one)
I installed the new update as soon as I saw it, went into the game and the first thing I noticed, is that they stole the candles in the middle of this small pond
weird, but it's not about that
so I changed my outfit (since I was still wearing one of the "somewhat fancy" ones that I wanted to wear tomorrow to the festival), went to Aviary, to check what's new, lit the white candle to make this my new home,
and then went to take some pics, because Aviary looked pretty in the new lighting (at least I think it was new). and as I was doing that, a moth came up to me, did the point emote and then sorta abducted me – added me to friends, took my hand and started flying around and spam honking. I just kinda followed along, because at first I assumed they either wanted to show me something or just wanted some company
at one point they jumped into the fireplace and started doing the "follow me" emote. dunno what they were trying to do, but it was kinda funny
there was also another player who spam honked with us for a little bit, but they didn't add either of us to friends
then, after about 10 minutes of red moth dragging me around and still occasionally spam honking (with me being mostly confused, because I didn't know if they were trying to tell me something or if they were just goofing around), they eventually left the game
so I was like "well, that was weird", quickly sent them a heart, cause why not, and then remembered that I didn't check if there was anything new at the boat in original home
I flew towards the home portal, with Aviary turning quite foggy, which I thought was kinda nice,
but after I sat down at the home portal, I realized the fog wasn't just cool lil' thing. it was an omen. a bad omen...
because the portal wasn't working
for me and for 2 other players also sitting there
I tried standing up and sitting down again, stepping away and also sitting down again, closing the game and coming back – nothing. also for some reason random shared memories were playing without me tapping on them. they were just kinda... there (dunno if I was the schizophrenic one or the game)
usually I wouldn't care, since I remember it happening before, but this time was different, since I already set Aviary as my default home. and while you can get to the village through a portal at home, you can't do the reverse and get home through a portal in Aviary since there is none
and then, as I was about to post "guys what do I do if I trapped myself in the Aviary💀" here, the game suddenly woke up from its slumber and the home portal worked. after I got back, I instantly switched original home back to being the default one and now I will never walk near that white candle ever again
now that I think about it, perhaps that moth, that dragged me around Aviary, also trapped themselves in Aviary and thought that maybe I knew a way out. although probably not, because I think if that was the case, then they would bring me to a bench and outright told me that was the issue (we did pass a few benches, but they only lit a candle on one of them and never sat down on said bench)
TL;DR: went to check Aviary after new update, got abducted by a moth and then almost got trapped in the village by Hopeful Stewart
so yeah, overall it was pretty good, love the new white candle👍

If you talk to Thaffe after the events of Mount Gulg, he says, "Thancred told us what happened. Are you all right?" and I just........
#twine boys#thaffe#listen. listen. he's so sweet#like yes thancred absolutely gives magnus and the boys a very simplified version of events#leaving out that the wol is being corrupted by the lightwardens' aether#but what they do know is the wol fought vauthry. collapsed. the sky changed back.#the exharch has been abducted. the warrior of darkness is in rough shape.#and thaffe's first concern isn't 'hey can you tell us more about what happened'#which would be fair! this has to be scary! the sky's changed back!#no. his first concern is 'are you okay?'#magnus also gets me right in the heart; he's like 'should you even be up right now???'#(jeryk is jeryk about it; just 'oh i was hoping we could show you the lanterns on the tracks are working. :c maybe later.'#which is sweet in its own way! he told the wod about hoping the lanterns could be useful if the night ever returned to amh araeng.#i love them all so much.#i should be sleeping right now but i'm having emotions instead

FIRE IN THE SKY (1993)
I'm not ganna lie. I was kinda bored throughout most of the film.the opening scene was exciting, and I was eager to find out the story those 6 men had to share. however, it was pretty mid tier and not really scary at all. I think the only scene where I was mildly interested was the alien examination scene. The closing of the movie was kinda cute, but again, it was mostly dull. I wasn't expecting much, but I was still let down.

Are We Alone in the Universe?
The question of whether or not we are alone in the universe is one that has fascinated scientists and the general public for decades. With advancements in technology and the discoveries of new planets, the possibility of finding extraterrestrial life has become more real than ever. But just how likely is it that we will find evidence of alien life?
One of the most compelling arguments for the existence of extraterrestrial life is the sheer vastness of the universe. It is estimated that there are over 100 billion planets in the Milky Way galaxy alone, with billions of galaxies in the observable universe. Given these numbers, it seems highly unlikely that we are the only form of intelligent life in the entire universe.
Another argument for the existence of alien life is the fact that we have discovered thousands of exoplanets, or planets that orbit stars outside of our solar system. Many of these exoplanets are located in the "habitable zone," meaning they are in the right distance from their star to potentially support liquid water, and therefore, life. The discovery of exoplanets has led many scientists to believe that it is only a matter of time before we find evidence of alien life.
Despite these arguments, the search for extraterrestrial life has so far been unsuccessful. The famous "Wow! Signal," a radio signal that many believed was a message from an alien civilization, turned out to be a natural phenomenon. The search for microbial life on Mars, a planet that has long been considered a prime candidate for the existence of life, has also come up empty.
Despite these setbacks, scientists continue to search for evidence of alien life through various means such as listening for radio signals from other civilizations, studying exoplanets, and searching for microbial life on other planets. With the launch of new telescopes such as the James Webb Space Telescope, scientists will have the ability to study exoplanets in more detail than ever before, increasing the chances of finding evidence of alien life.
