Hey everyone! I’ve been working on this Skullgirls fanfiction for four years and I thought I’d finally share it and make more Skullgirls content! Skullgirls has been a big influence in my life for almost half a decade, yet it’s been a more personal interest of mine. Now, I want to fully share that love with the world! It’s on Chapter 11 currently and I’ll try to post updates here as well!  Hope we get to know each other more in the future!

Here’s a quick summary for those interested:

“Marie Korbel, the current Skullgirl, has regained control of the Skull Heart and reunites with best friend, Patricia, now known as Peacock. But New Meridian still thinks the Skullgirl is evil. To make matters worse, the Medici have been committing more crimes than they ever have. Even with a new group of outcasts, one she can deem as friends, allies, and even family, will Marie make her wish come true, while making New Meridian understand that she is not evil? Or will she and her team fail, causing chaos to rise in New Meridian?”

For those who don't know, Lab Zero Games the developers for SkullGirls started an Indigogo to continue adding more characters to the game, A lot of them planned well ahead for the game and even have their own list of gameplay inspirations. For the moment a lot of them can be seen in the background of certain stages as well as cutscenes during story modes, and you can unlock their concept art and fan art in the gallery. Anyways, here are some of the many characters who could have the potential to make it as DLC:

Feng, Beatrix, Regina, Hubrecht, and Taliesin are all from the circus which Cerebella is from (She's close friends with Feng)

Adam, Molly, Roxie, and Panzerfaust are members of the Black Egrets who serve under Parasoul (and her little sister Umbrella)

Leduc and Hive are Agents from Lab 8, the same place that also helped Peacock and Big Band.

Andy Anvil is one of Peacock's gang members who also helps her during matches. He can also be seen during Double's blockbuster move, and he apparently has a rivalry with Beowulf.

Aeon and Venus are suppose to be this universe's Master Hand & Crazy Hand.

And we have Mrs. Victoria who is Filia's school teacher, she can be seen in the tutorial stage and is also seen in Double's blockbuster.

I suppose I should also mention Minette and Brain Drain, even though I recently found out they are coming to the mobile game. Overall I do hope they are able to continue adding more characters in the future, I love this game so I definitely would like to play more of it.

PART 41

Big Band's POV

(some time later, at Anti-Skullgirl Lab 8...)

"So, can you explain again, Ileum? And in English, please?" Leduc asked Ileum after she checked Heartmay's health condition. She also did some blood tests after I told her about those ghosts.

We were in the main room of the Lab. The others were resting in their rooms. Perhaps.

"The Terrazine couldn't be infused with her blood cells. Not so... Perfectly." Ileum partially answered.

"How so? Leduc asked again.

"You see," Ileum continued. "the Terrazine can not be infused with another liquid substance if there isn't any electric shock strong enough to infuse them both in short time. From our research, the blood is the most uncommon substance for the Terrazine to infuse with."

"Is there any electric shock strong enough to infuse the blood with the Terrazine?" I asked.

"Yes. But you won't like it, Ben.."

"And that is..."

"The lightning."

That hit me hard. I didn't know how to react. I started to wonder how the kid survived a lightning strike.. if the lightning hit her..

Suddenly I remembered the moment when she got struck by that lightning.

"So..." Hive started. "You're sayin' that Midnight was hit by a lightning in the past?"

"Yes. How she survived the lightning... Maybe the Terrazine prevented her death. I'm not sure yet."

"How's the kid now?" I asked.

"Her wounds healed faster than I expected, so she is alright. Why do you ask, Ben?"

"I want to see her. If I can, of course."

"You may see her, Ben. But I have to warn you that she may not be in a good mood."

"Don't worry. I'll be careful. I'll just talk with her. That's it."

I left the others and I went to Heartmay's room. On my way, I thought about the lightning that hit her. I couldn't believe that she survived one lightning strike. But, from what I could see, it wasn't the first time she avoided Death.

When I reached her room, I knocked the door gently. No answer. I waited a few seconds, then I knocked again a bit louder.

"Come in, Big B."

I was surprised. How did she knew that it was me?

I entered the room, closing the door behind me. The kid was sitting on the window sill watching over her Parasite.

"You want to talk, right?" she asked whispering, then she looked at me.

"Yup."

"Fine, but not here. I don't want to accidentally wake Dagron. He's still weak after that battle."

"You got it, kid. Let's talk in the kitchen."

"Sounds good to me, Big B." Heartmay said, then she stood up. "I really need some good coffee..."

She looked again at her Parasite. "Sleep tight, partner." she said, then we left the room silently and went straight to the kitchen.

"Want some coffee too, Big B?"

"No. Thanks, kid."

"So..." the kid started after she poured herself a cup of coffee. "What do ya want to talk about?"

"Do you remember a lightning strike, kid?"

"Straight to the subject, Birdland." she sipped some coffee. "Yes, I do remember, but not everything. Heh... I wonder how did I survived that one."

'I wonder that too, kid.' I said for myself.

"Context?"

"Near a burning building, New Meridian. The firefighters were there, the cops were there, the ambulance was there..."

"And you were?"

"Inside the building. By 'near' I meant 'inside'."

"Are you kidding me, kid?"

She shook her head, then she took another sip of coffee. "Not at all. I was inside, helpin' everyone to get out safely - wait... You were there too?!"

"Yup. Both me and my partner, Irvin."

"I know Irvin. I met him after I rescued the Dagonian girls and River King's daughters."

"You did that?"

"In less than 24 hours, so yes. Lots of Medici goons died. I didn't."

She sipped again.

"Heh. I must admit that you're a daredevil, kiddo."

She looked at me suddenly. I was confused.

"Um... Kid?"

"That's what I used to tell aunt Christine when she saw me doing vigilante stuff around Maplecrest! And I got grounded a lot of times for that..."

"Wait... You're the one who kicked Medici ass in Maplecrest?!"

"Yup. And I was only 6 years old! And now I still am the vigilante of Maplecrest!"

She seemed so proud of it. That made me smile.

"Such good ol' times back then, Birdland..."

"Yup. Will you return to Maplecrest?"

Midnight looked down. "Yeah. My job ain't done yet. I have to bring Carol home as soon as possible. Her parents may think that now she's dead. I promised them that I'll bring her to them, y'know..."

"A vigilante's job never ends."

"Damn right. I intend to go to Maplecrest with Filia and Carol tomorrow. Afternoon."

"I see. You know the way back, right?"

"Yup. Maybe I'll pay ya a visit some day."

"We'll see, kid."

Midnight chuckled, then she sipped some coffee again. Suddenly her mod changed, like she remembered something.

“Big B?”

“Yes, kid?”

“Did I...” she sighed, then she continued her question. “Did I scare you back there?”

I got concerned. The kid was worried too.

But I knew what she meant. Ileum told me and the others earlier that the kid was not aware of her powers, just like her Parasite. 

I pursued my lips. “Truthfully?”

“Truthfully.”

“...Yes. I think you scared all of us, kid...”

I chuckled. “I think you scared the Princess too.” I tried to make a small joke.

“That seems fair.” she sighed in relief. At the same time she was serious.

“What do you mean, kid?”

“I didn’t want to be the only one...” she said, then she finished her coffee. She looked at me. “Because I bloody well scared myself.”

(Attention, Lab 0 members. We’re done here. I want you all gathered by the elevator in two minutes or less.)

L: Oh! Uh, okay, I guess-sorry, Fukua, we can-talk later?

“...”

L: Uhm...Fukua?

H: Come on, Leduc, let’s get out of here before you dig any deeper. Nice not really talking to you, Fukua.

“...Yeah, bye.”

“He thinks I’m cool.”

“DON’T LET IT GO TO YOUR HEAD.”

“Shut up.”

[OH, HELLO, VALENTINE. ME AND PEACOCK WERE JUST COMMISERATING OVER-]

Oh, good lord. I don’t want to know. Whatever you’re planning better not break anything.

God, time for me to shower y’all in more just random headcanons

I know, I know, i’m just trying to promote my blog, but I just have these things on my mind, so prepare for many different headcanons for the muses I RP.

- Albus is a rhythm game MASTER. Every time Eliza goes out to the arcade, she always watches him play some rhythm games before she goes and gets some tickets. And yes, Eliza does go to the arcade because she wants to get the prizes.

- Valentine is asexual, but not necessarily aromantic. She just thinks her body shouldn’t be the only thing that she’s liked for, especially with her new nursing and coroner jobs. 

- DID I FORGET TO MENTION VALENTINE HAS NEW JOBS? Well, she does, and she’s now a nurse for an emergency room near Bastet’s Den, and in the evening, she is a coroner to report for causes of death. She says it just “fits her capabilities”.

- Peacock decided to do a thing and make a little group she can hang out with called the “Anti-Skullgirls Survivors”, which consists of Valentine, Peacock, Robo Fortune (breaking from Brain Drain’s control), Big Band, Hive, Leduc, Painwheel, and Stanley They all kind of just chat together and help each other out.

- Fillia sometimes gets bullied at school, as well as Painwheel, but since Peacock is trying to get back into school, she sometimes shows up as an exchange student, and exposes the bullies in a very over the top, comedic, and needlessly complicated way.

WHEW, god, that was a lot of HCs, I gotta think of more...
