A very, very belated L&Co. Garden Party gift comic for @piceacamellia / Spruce, who requested something related to the Skull and/or the team having fun! I've always enjoyed the banter between him and Lucy, so I thought I'd come up with some incorrect quotes for them. I'm sorry for the lateness and the bad puns* 💀

I think one of the things that a lot of humans fail into internalize about the Predator/Prey dynamic, especially in nature, is that millions of years of being shaped into Prey can often make incredibly territorial and fierce animals that will do anything they can to fight against millions of years of fighting being killed.

That's why horses kick and buck. Why rabbits are so infamously cantankerous and moody. Why deer have giant multi-pronged bone growths coming out of their foreheads that they can use for self-defense. Why rhinos are so dangerously territorial.

Meanwhile- a lot of Predators out in nature when they are not actually hunting (or play hunting) are remarkably chill. Especially macropredators. Think about how cats are known for the fact that they just lay around in the sun all day. Dogs are goofy guys who just want a friend.

The Predator/Prey dynamic isn't about the strong ferocious Predator taking advantage of weak and innocent Prey. When you're Prey, you're something that has spent millions of years being shaped into learning how to fight back. You're something that nature itself has pulled apart and put back together with all the sharp bits pointing out, just so you can survive.

You two have to be equal, otherwise there'd be nothing left to hunt.

Originally it was gonna be just flat colors but I was messing around with one of the filters & one of them look good & then my friend told me 2 go more detail with it so that’s what I did, hints the messy shading in some areas since it’s not in my usual shading style.🤷‍♂️

I think I messed up my previous post (checked and yes I called yesterday Saturday sksksk). Finished two out of three lectures I need to do for a quiz on Monday, and I still have a lot of work. But I am going to go sleep for now and figure out the rest tomorrow (it's 1am 💀).

What methods do you find best for managing tasks?

Mostly sticky notes. I am not the best at time management and discipline, but I usually keep the deadlines on my notion calendar, and I have a tiny notebook where I scribble all the things I need to do (including academics and grocery lists lol), and finally I use sticky notes for day to day tasks and stick them on the side of my laptop so that I can remember.

Also I like drawing little doodles on my sticky notes haha

For the one who doesn't know what the Hanahaki disease is, it is the disease that one person who falls in love which is unreciprocated coughs up the flowers, and slowly dies.

Since half of my comics are gone and (dammit me again for not backing up) so I am giving the context of it.

BH in here feels no attraction or love to others due to him being a celestial entity, Which means that Astrobiology here is a one-sided love from Tree's side.

Tree thinks this coughing is just a simple cold, but as time goes by, it gets worse, and he will notice that it is associated with other problems.

And he confronts his friend.

"Nothing more, just friends."
