Omg!! Hi!

So I use this free app called Sketchbook and I've been using it for YEARS. It used to be called SketchbookAutodesk but they changed it not to long ago. It's an app mostly for tablets and phones, which I use for both, I haven't used it connected to a sketchpad like the ones you use for a PC or a laptop. It's also free, I never had to pay for the brushes I use. You can upload/download brush sets but it's very picky about each one so I haven't gotten around to downloading or uploading any.

Now the actual brushes and canvas size I use is the Legacy set and the canvas is always at 4k x 4k pixels. You don't have to make the canvas that big but I usually do since it gives me more space/room to work with. For the brush sets I usually always use the pencil on 4.6 for rough sketches and the inking pen set on 3. It is very lenient and very forgiving if you make a mistake but if you want sharp lines like you might find in my pieces you will have to go in with the hard eraser and sharpen them edges.

Now the only problem I know of is going to ham on the layers and causing the app to crash with to much detail work. It can only do so much detail work before it has file size issues. Also accidentally having the "precision stroke" on and using the eraser (any) at the same time will cause the app to crash as well.

Q: Does this mean I can only do small pieces and sketches?

No you can still do detailed works using this app but you do have to be mindful of how many layers you use and merge them (some not all) when your ready to save the pic. It does have a gallery so if you save it to the gallery you can go back and mess with old wips instead of reuploading.

For my broke self this is a great free app for me to use and draw with. I've had it for a good while and so far , other than those two issues stated earlier, I still love it. 4.8 stars from me.
