10 of my Artworks (Progress)
To be honest, I was mostly behind on so much work because I had never painted in my life before, so this class brought about a hefty challenge. I underestimated the course, and my time, and because of it suffered a considerable amount, but I have since then learned my lesson.
Other than this, the professor鈥檚 passion was not overlooked by myself, she definitely loves art and it 100% shows and comes across that way. It鈥檚 a great motivator, and it did help me keep going even if I had been behind.
From now on, if I ever have an art class again I feel like I know the first steps to having everything completely set up so my experience goes a lot smoother. My favorite materials happened to be the acrylic paint, which was really messy for me personally, but I definitely made it work. My favorite project happened to be my midterm, messing up so bad allowed me to reflect and try even harder when I re-did it.
There were many challenges that I came across and fortunately I beat them all, and I鈥檓 ready to keep on going and striving towards my end goal, finally finishing college.
Thank you.

Sketchbook Assignment #10: Celebration of the Arts, part II
photographs above by Allyssa Suter and Madde Baron-Galbavi
This week鈥檚 sketchbook assignment is the same as last weeks! Again I am asking you to post five images for consideration for our Celebration of the Arts project/installation. You MUST be shooting NEW聽IMAGERY聽聽for all and all sketchbook assignments unless otherwise stated, but imagery that you are creating for Assignment #4 is acceptable.
聽Allyssa and Madde鈥檚 images above are strong examples for what we should be looking for: simple, but strong visually with a clear dominate subject and minimal background distraction. Since the lighting in our space will be so dim and the imagery will be toned all one color, complex imagery with busy backgrounds could potentially get lost as an effective experience/impact.
Please also make sure that you upload each of your five photographs so that I can see each large when I click on your post! And lastly these should be five unique images, please avoid posting five photos of the same scene/model/situation that clearly you would only choose one聽to print for the CoA installation.
DUE: Sunday April 3rd by 11:59 PM!

Sketchbook 10: Watch at least one of the tutorial videos from the link below on InDesign CS5 and write a paragraph about what you learned in your sketchbook. (Note: This isn't busy work, this is to help you understand how to teach yourself and explore all the free resources that are available.)
I learned about how to create a Grid Based Resume/CV Layout in InDesign. Because of the fine grid it is best to use Adobe InDesign. I created a new document and set the page size to A4 and placed the margins at 10mm each. No bleed was necessary. Then lay out the necessary information as well as the objects needed to create the heading.
