This extremely frustrates me for multiple reasons. The first one is obviously because I’m a part of the LGBT community.

The second one was that I planned to do a thesis on how hormone therapy for transgender people affects the skeletal structure. I’m graduating with my bachelors after this semester, and I’m not sure I’ll even be able to do that anymore since all of these studies are being pulled.

I was so ready to get my masters started with this thesis so I could work towards my PhD a little along the way. I mean sure, I could do something different with skeletal structures, but I wanted to do THIS.

Btw, this is how conservatives keep getting to claim that trans people are a new thing no one has ever heard, because our history and existences have continually been erased or obscured systematically through out history.

The most famous example was 92 years when the Nazis raided the library of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft, the medical practice where the term transsexual was first coined and the first gender affirming surgery was performed in in 1931.

just realized i completely forgot to post some of the work i did from art class this semester on platformers other than IG lol

here's a bunch of skeleton related drawings i did :)

1st - large skeletal study from a fake model, decided to add some interpretive chains and go wild with a charcoal bg to make it rlly creepy- this one was a lot of fun

2nd - final project of the semester! we had to incorporate different elements to create a "see through" effect, so i did the figure in graphite, skeleton in ink, and then added a pink cherry blossom done with color pencils for the heart (i also went back and added red to the lips to add some color cohesion)

3rd & 4th - some smaller skeletal studies i did also from the fake model

I KNEEded something to post so I made this. Part of an ongoing anatomy drawing project.

I've always been fascinated by the skeletal system, and my top picks at the moment would be possibly Gible's line! Maybe not true bones all things considered, but still an interesting thoughtpiece, no? What's all there, how everything's connected, stuff like that!

You're right that's such an interesting topic, especially in terms of pokemon! Gible are quite interesting in that aspect because of the fact that their entire body is almost just one skull, and as they grow and evolve they gain more bone structure! Like the opposite of humans, where babies have lots of bones and as they get older they fuse and become stronger.

Also the little rocket looking bulbs on the sides of their head don't actually have bones in them, although some people think they do. Same goes for the fin on their back (for Gible this is, when they get to the stages that they have more of a cone shaped head, bones do end up expanding into that area!)

Another interesting skeleton to think about are the Shellos and Gastrodon ones. Like the head bumps for Gible, people don't often think that these two have skeletal structures, and while they're made up mostly of muscle they do have skulls, backbones, and ribs much like an Ekans!

I think finally some of the plant and bug like pokemon are interesting, I've been in Alola recently (amazing place, very friendly locals but far too hot for my Sinnoh built body lol) and there were Fomantis a-plenty! Imagine my surprise when I learned they have very soft skeletal systems, almost like smooth bark I would say? Bendable but not brittle enough that you could rip it without cutting through you know? And they were hallow bones (I did not harm any pokemon when I was there!!! This sounds like I did but I promise I was just doing research at local labs!!!) However it's evolution had a more standard (but thin in a skinny sense not in a tree bark flat sense) skeletal system. If you're into odd skeletal systems look into the plant/bug pokemon!
