I love drawing them hairless with emphasized anatomy, giving them a mix of angular and elegant shapes, plus a bit of stylization. I tried to find a style that would feel natural to me, so that I could both enjoy the process and the result. It was fun to draw these ~

MATERIALS Faber Castell 3B + Goldfaber 3B on Fabriano Schizzi 90 gsm. This set of illustrations was the direct result of my anatomy classes. This semester we are covering neuro-anatomy and illustrating the content and subject matter is my method of coping. I was in the mood for some grotesque beauty in graphite. It's nice to take a break from the colourful pencils every one in a while and produce something a little atmospherically different. When I take a break from university, I find solace in sharpening a pencil and talking to the paper. These days, I've been attracted to this style of illustration. What do you think? Is it haunting, or pretty? Perhaps both? Happy Friday, folks✨
