Some of the commissions I’ve done so far! 

Wonderful people to work with and amazing characters each one of them are.

First one is SkekCel and UrClay belong to @reikiajakoiranruohoja and each character has their own blog @theghostofharar and @thecastleurru.

Second and Third are a lineart of SkekDel the Culturalist belonging to @kaijukian and their Oc, Bourbon, a gryphon!

And the last one, the classic SkekShakt with his daughter Skeksa! SkekShakt belongs to @queenofthetides.

As I said in my last post, Skektrik’s commission was an exception because I really wanted to draw an UrRu too ! Now that I have more demands, I will stick to one character as first intended (only if the second character is a little animal/mascot) 

I had a lot of fun with all these imaginative designs ! Dark Crystal fandom, keep creating awesome OCs !

So I may or may not be in love with @kaijukian ‘s Oc SkekDel… shes Best friends w/Zok and she’s got crazy crystal eyes bc she lost her original ones. She was also super close with SkekGra is his conquerer days. They are married in my brain change my mind.

Spy Master bio

Name: skekDel the Spy Master (formerly skekDel the Augur) Pronouns: They/any really Counterpart: urPhi the Oracle 

Allies: skekVar, skekZok, skekTek, skekLi, (formerly) skekGra  Backstory: As an augur, they accompanied the General and Conqueror on campaigns as a tactician and foreseer of battle outcomes. skekDel boasted that there was nothing they couldn't foresee, until things went unexpectedly south as they were in the process of conquering the Gruenaks. Del didn’t see gruenak vigilantes sneak into their yurt, and certainly didn’t expect a dagger to be driven through their eyes as they slept. The gruenaks figured if they could kill the Conquerer, they’d have won the battle already, so they went for the tactician instead. As they sealed their fate, skekDel would go home devastated, their fear of becoming obsolete realized as they were demoted in all but name.   Replacements were later made by the Scientist with rudimentary biotechnics to make false eyes that saw what crystal shards saw. The Emperor saw use in these crystal shards being able to be used long distance, and skekDel was delighted to be a part of a campaign for success in the name of the Empire. Slowly these evolved into flying prototypes that would later become the Crystal Bats. Del lived a very sedentary life as a Spy Master relaying all the information the crystal bats saw. 

Their mental and physical health deteriorated relatively quickly, as the more crystal bats added, the more they saw and the more their mind was overloaded with information. They felt the damage when one was broken, but was too focused on success to stop or slow down the production. When they eventually pass away, the bats were given to skekZok to command. 

 Appearance: They have a stubby beak and wear a dark mauve veil with leather shoulder pads and a wooden carapace. Del has a dark yellow-green neck kerchief and the rest of their dress is a faded dark purple. 

 Personality: skekDel is a proud and conceited skeksis, antisocial and arrogant. They are heavily socially awkward, and avoid others under the guise that they're too good for them. They're nosy and secretive, and spend most of their time sitting around spying on every inch of the castle from their post. They suffer from chronic pain and sensory processing issues, and are generally quite miserable to be around as they either want their company to speak up or shut up.

Oracle bio

Name: urPhi the Oracle Pronouns: They/any Counterpart: skekDel the Spy Master

Allies: urGoh, urZah, urLii, urSan, urVa

Backstory: For a while, urPhi cultivated a post for travelers to rest and replenish their resources. They tended their garden, maintained their well, kept lanterns lit and their egg laying livestock. There was a shrine for sleeping and a hut where the Oracle would dwell. Hardly ever did they show themself, but if the traveler asked, they could have their fortune read. When Del lost their eyes, Phi tried to continue running their post but fell into a bedridden state. Alone, blind, and injured, they were in no condition to maintain their establishment. Travelers soon stopped coming, assuming the Oracle had abandoned the place and was not simply in their hut. When skekDel gained their bionic eyes, urPhi was privy to phantom visions and sensations, and as they added more and more crystal bats to their collection, more noticeable did these become. The distraction drove them to a cave where they tried to isolate themselves in a location that wouldn't overwhelm their senses. They spent the rest of their days sleeping, smoking, weaving, and sculpting. Rarely do they have company, and when they do they’re overjoyed to be able to offer hospitality. If only until they get overwhelmed and ask the visitor to once again be on their way.

Appearance: urPhi wears a white veil over their pale hair. The veil is adorned with feathers and the horns of small animals. Their bangs cover their eyes, which are missing where skekDel has prosthetics.  Phi wears loose fitting clothing.

Personality: urPhi strongly prefer their solitude due to their easily overwhelmed senses and ever draining energy. Theyre still quite hospitable, and a bit of a try-hard when it comes to making people feel welcome. They're constantly exhausted and are prone to falling asleep mid-sentence.

Since i just wrote about skekDel here

and about urPhi here, I’m gonna write abt others

1) My most popular and fleshed out would have to be skekAm the Hedonist. Originally the Arbiter, he became obsolete and took up a role as a Courtesan as his old job technically involved stress relief for the others. He’s happy outside of the castle, getting increasingly disenchanted with being at the others’ beck and call. Until one day his jaw is broken in half by another (skekNa lol) and he spends a long time festering in anger. He reclaims his life as the Hedonist, living only for his own pleasure and bringing more to the table as a producer of the castle’s bath supplies, incense, lotions, and perfumes as well as a running galas and the winer + taste tester for new recipes. He’s still a sex worker in NSFW-friendly AUs, but his main role in the castle is to make sure their lives remain pleasurable with a constant supply of fine items already tested for efficiency. He’s a depressed murderous cannibal that, depending on the AU, has anywhere from 1-16 skeklings from various casual partners as he is never romantically involved with others.

2) skekRu the Soldadera is Am’s eldest, and was raised away from the castle after seeing how hostile of an environment is was for a young childling. She was carried by skekAm but her sire is skekSa, and the two’s hostile interactions had Ru increasingly stressed through her life. She attempted to gain a seat at the table as the Overseer, proud to overshadow her father and carry on the Empire where her mother could not. She was quick, however, to side with Gelfling during the age of Resistance and became a valuable asset to them. She would later bear witness through her father’s urru urRom to skekAm’s death as he was disembowelled by garthim. She’s shipped with skekAth :) <3

3) skekJey, skekNus, and skekVit are a shitshow including a very tired and guilt addled nurse/midwife depending on AU and her son the Executioner + his wife the butcher. These 3 started out design experiments, with skekJey being essentially a (beautiful imo) wrinkly, obese oviraptor, skekNus being a shrinkwrapped shoebill stork and skekVit having half of her face removed and constantly rotting and gangrenous, complete with exposed tendons and rotting flesh. Their story is pretty short and it jus basically includes skekNus gaslighting everyone.

4)  urMey the Baker and urOna the Astrologer. They’re just lesbian grandmas with two eyes between them and they bake bread and hold hands I love them.
